Abstract

Chatbot services powered by artificial intelligence (AI) have begun to replace staff on the frontline in various industries. This research examined how AI service affects customer citizenship behavior. Drawing on emotional spillover theory, we conducted two experiments (N s = 140 and 200). The results demonstrated there was a negative effect of AI (vs. human) service on customer citizenship behavior and identified positive emotion as the underlying mechanism of this effect (Study 1). Additionally, brand stereotypes were found to moderate the relationship between service type and positive emotions (Study 2). Specifically, the relationship became weaker for competent (vs. warm) brand service. These findings contribute to promoting customer citizenship behavior in unmanned contexts and provide insights for the application of AI services in frontline operations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Marine cranes play an important role in many hoisting scenes. However, due to the ship motion excitation and crane operation, the payload swing is unavoidable, hence putting the operators in danger. Thus, this paper proposes two active damping methods to suppress the payload swing by a 3‐DOF cable‐driven parallel robot (CDPR). First, the structure of the 3‐DOF CDPR is briefly introduced. Then, the dynamic model of the system is modeled as a constrained spherical pendulum with moving base excitations. Meanwhile, inspired by the air damping phenomenon, two active damping methods are presented to damp the payload swing naturally and smoothly. Furthermore, the payload swing under ship motion excitation and external hitting disturbances is analyzed, the influence mechanism of system damping parameters on the payload anti‐swing is discussed, and the robustness of the proposed damping methods is verified. By theoretical analysis and numerical simulations, some interesting discoveries are revealed: (1) the proposed damping methods can effectively suppress the big offset of payload swing angle inducing by external hitting disturbance, but the system might reach a dynamic equilibrium with a tilting hoist cable; (2) the phenomenon of "off‐center spherical pendulation" might be induced by improper setting of the damping parameters. Abstract

In the multiple-phase pipelines in terms of the subsea oil and gas industry, the occurrence of slug flow would cause damage to the pipelines and related equipment. Therefore, it is very necessary to develop a real-time and high-precision slug flow identification technology. In this study, the Yolo object detection algorithm and embedded deployment are applied initially to slug flow identification. The annotated slug flow images are used to train seven models in Yolov5 and Yolov3. The high-precision detection of the gas slug and dense bubbles in the slug flow image in the vertical pipe is realized, and the issue that the gas slug cannot be fully detected due to being blocked by dense bubbles is solved. After model performance analysis, Yolov5n is verified to have the strongest comprehensive detection performance, during which, mAP0.5 is 93.5%, mAP0.5:0.95 is 65.1%, and comprehensive mAP (cmAP) is 67.94%; meanwhile, the volume of parameters and Flops are only 1,761,871 and 4.1 G. Then, the applicability of Yolov5n under different environmental conditions, such as different brightness and adding random obstructions, is analyzed. Finally, the trained Yolov5n is deployed to the Jetson Nano embedded device (NVIDIA, Santa Clara, CA, USA), and TensorRT is used to accelerate the inference process of the model. Abstract

Electrochromic materials have good development prospect under the development concept of promoting low carbon and energy saving. In order to explore the efficient, simple and excellent preparation process, the polymer electrochromic film was prepared by the electrostatic spray method combined with the in-situ elution method. According to the color adaptability and solubility of the electrolyte salt, tetrabutylammonium perchlorate (TBAP) was selected as the template, and different proportions of electrolyte salt were added to the easy-to-process TPA-OMe-PA solution, then film was deposited on the surface of the ITO glass by electrostatic spray technology. After that, the electrolyte salt was precipitated by in-situ washing method. The morphology of the film was analyzed using scanning electron microscope, and the electrochromic properties of the film were studied using the electrochemical workstation combined with ultraviolet/visible/infrared spectrometer. The research results show that the polymer film prepared by electrostatic spray technology and in-situ elution method have multi-level pore structure and excellent electrochromic properties. Especially when the electrolyte content is 33.3%(mass fraction), the multi-layer porosity is the highest, and the electrochromic performance is the best. The bleaching time/coloration time is reduced to 0.6 s/1 s, and the coloration efficiency reaches 608.2 cm2·C-1, which is the best record for the polyamide based electrochromic film.

Abstract

Early detection of mental disorder is crucial as it enables prompt intervention and treatment, which can greatly improve outcomes for individuals suffering from debilitating mental affliction. The recent proliferation of mental health discussions on social media platforms presents research opportunities to investigate mental health and potentially detect instances of mental illness. However, existing depression detection methods are constrained due to two major limitations: (1) the reliance on feature engineering and (2) the lack of consideration for time-varying factors. Specifically, these methods require extensive feature engineering and domain knowledge, which heavily rely on the amount, quality, and type of user-generated content. Moreover, these methods ignore the important impact of time-varying factors on depression detection, such as the dynamics of linguistic patterns and interpersonal interactive behaviors over time on social media (e.g., replies, mentions, and quote-tweets). To tackle these limitations, we propose an early depression detection framework, ContrastEgo treats each user as a dynamic time-evolving attributed graph (ego-network) and leverages supervised contrastive learning to maximize the agreement of users' representations at different scales while minimizing the agreement of users' representations to differentiate between depressed and control groups. ContrastEgo embraces four modules, (1) constructing users' heterogeneous interactive graphs, (2) extracting the representations of users' interaction snapshots using graph neural networks, (3) modeling the sequences of snapshots using attention mechanism, and (4) depression detection using contrastive learning.
