Abstract

In this paper a complete Matlab-Based-Model of a high resolution second-order multi- channel incremental A-to-D-Converter is presented. The A-to-D-Converter model includes the most relevant non-idealities for future transistor- level implementation. The reference technology used for the model is the 90nm CMOS node. The analog part of the A-to-D-Converter will be implemented by switched-capacitors integrators, so that the passive components and MOS transistor matching parameters are included in the Model. CMOS Process deviation is also taken into account, since the Matlab-Based model has the feature to set the Opamp finite dc-gain and bandwidth. External slew-rate limitation is also modeled in the Opamp. The system complies with the overall specifications of the biomedical systems and combines the advantages of oversampling with resolution improvement thanks to an extended-counting-based technique. The final simulations results validate the model, with a signal-to-noise-distortion ratio of 92.1 dB within a 500 kHz bandwidth at a 16 MHz sample frequency

Abstract

A calibration free, high resolution second-order multi-channel Incremental A-to-D-Converter with multi-level quantizer is presented. The system is designed for biomedical application and combines the advantages of low oversampling ratio with SC design solution, like multi bit topology and accurate opamp design. An optimal decimation filter to minimize the weighted sum of thermal and quantization noise is used. In this paper is presented the schematic level implementation of the system in a 1.2 V 90 nm CMOS Technology and the preliminary simulation shows a 56.4 dB signal-to-noise-distortion within a 500 kHz bandwidth at a 16 MHz sample frequency

227. Precision and Accuracy of a Direct-Reading Miniaturized Monitor in PM2.5 Exposure Assessment.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the precision, accuracy, practicality, and potential uses of a PM2.5 miniaturized monitor (MM) in exposure assessment. These monitors (AirBeam, HabitatMap) were compared with the widely used direct-reading particulate matter monitors and a gravimetric reference method for PM2.5. Instruments were tested during 20 monitoring sessions that were subdivided in two different seasons to evaluate the performance of sensors across various environmental and meteorological conditions. Measurements were performed at an urban background site in Como, Italy. To evaluate the performance of the instruments, different analyses were conducted on 8-h averaged PM2.5 concentrations for comparison between direct-reading monitors and the gravimetric method, and minute-averaged data for comparison between the direct-reading instruments. A linear regression analysis was performed to evaluate whether the two measurement methods, when compared, could be considered comparable and/or mutually predictive. Further, Bland-Altman plots were used to determine whether the methods were characterized by specific biases. Finally, the correlations between the error associated with the direct-reading instruments and the meteorological parameters acquired at the sampling point were investigated. Principal results show a moderate degree of agreement between MMs and the reference method and a bias that increased with an increase in PM2.5 concentrations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Étude sur les droits de planter et leurs retombés dans la stipulation de certains contrats de louage, à savoir les baux ruraux. Pour créer un vignoble, il faut un droit de plantation. Pour l'étendre, il faut un droit de replantation. Le droit de plantation sert donc pour la création d'une surface d'exploitation qui n'existait pas. Le droit de replantation, quant à lui, a comme fonction d'assurer le maintien, l'entretien ou la reconstitution d'un vignoble déjà existant. Ces deux droits ont chacun leur propre fonction et dénomination, mais ils sont évidemment apparentés, tel qu'on fait référence aux deux comme les "droits de planter". Le débat le plus vaste et captivant que la doctrine et la jurisprudence ont connu concerne certainement l'identification de la nature juridique des droits de planter. En fait, les droits de planter sont en principe des autorisations administratives, c'est-à-dire des actes émis par une autorité publique qui permettent au bénéficiaire d'accéder à un certain résultat. En même temps, ils constituent un phénomène complexe et original - par rapport aux autres autorisations administratives - qui pose des questions supplémentaires quant à leur qualification. PREMIÈRE PARTIE : introduction historique dénombrant les épisodes du passé qui ont marqué la faculté (ou l'interdiction) des particuliers de planter une vigne ; outils législatifs qui caractérisent aujourd'hui le régime juridique des droits de planter. DEUXIÈME PARTIE : les perspectives que les droits de planter projettent. Cela fait tourner le point d'observation vers les plantations elles-mêmes, c'est-à-dire les plants de vignes dont l'enracinement est une conséquence à l'attribution des droits de planter. LE FUTUR : analyse de la frappante disposition, contenue dans le règlement 479, la dernière OCM vitivinicole en vigueur, prévoyant que le régime des droits de plantation est transitoire, dans la mesure où il sera supprimé à compter du 1er janvier 2016.
