This study investigated the effect of ecological art (eco-art) projects on preservice classroom teachers' attitudes towards and views on environmental issues. Ecological art is an art-oriented teaching model. The study adopted a mixed embedded research design and integrated ecological art into the "Environmental Education" course. The sample consisted of 78 first-year students from the department of classroom education of Ondokuz Mayis University in the spring semester of the 2020-2021 academic year. Data were collected using student logs and a semi-structured interview questionnaire developed by the researchers, and the Environmental Problems Attitude Scale developed by Güven (2013). We developed a 14-week project and integrated visual arts education into the "Environmental Education" course. The project aimed to raise awareness through artistic expression. Each participant chose an ecological problem. The quantitative data were analysed using the Wilcoxon test. There was a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores (p = 0.001). The qualitative data were analysed using content analysis. The results showed that the eco-art projects had cognitive, affective, and behavioural effects on participants. In other words, the eco-art projects raised their awareness of environmental issues. Participants stated that eco-art projects should be integrated into environmental education classes because they believed that art conveyed universal messages. We can conclude that eco-art projects bring an innovative and interdisciplinary perspective to environmental education and help preservice classroom teachers develop positive attitudes and views on environmental issues.

This study investigates elementary pre-service mathematics teachers' noticing in a video-based activity within the context of a mathematics teaching methods course. To this end, we analyzed what and how pre-service mathematics teachers noticed in the Public Release Third International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) videos. Data obtained from pre-service teachers' written analysis of classroom teaching videos were then analyzed. The results indicate that pre-service teachers primarily focused on "discourse" followed by "task" and "learning environment" aspects of the classroom teaching presented in the videos. While pre-service teachers' noticing was primarily descriptive and evaluative in a general sense, there was less interpretive level noticing. It was interesting that most comments belonging to the interpretive level appeared in the task category. Additionally, pre-service mathematics teachers generally noticed the elements of instruction related to teachers (i.e., the teacher's role, movement, and pedagogy) at descriptive and evaluative levels, but were less attentive to how specific classroom events, tasks, or content were connected with students' learning. Our findings suggest that exposing pre-service mathematics teachers to multiple contexts and diverse mathematical content during the analysis of video cases of classroom practices in collaborative environments supports noticing specific aspects within classroom practice.

The objective of this study is to determine the efficiency of psychological counselling and guidance services carried out at public schools regarding the remarks of the school administrators and students. This research was conducted in line with instant survey model which is one of the general survey models. 372 school administrators and 938 students participated in the research. The participants of the study determined via random sampling method. "School Guidance Services Scale" and "Student Scale" were used in data collection. The data obtained in the research was understood to show normal distribution. Arithmetic mean, standard deviation, independent samples t-test and ANOVA tests were used in analysis of research data. According to school administrators' remarks, psychological consultation, consultancy, individual recognition services are at good level; data collection and dissemination, orientation, monitoring, environment-parent relations, guiding and emplacement, research and evaluation services are carried out at medium level. Students receiving education in primary and secondary grades were seen to utilize from psychological counselling and guidance services than the students in high school grade. Besides, the finding that female students desire to utilize from psychological counselling and guidance services more than male students was obtained.

This research is aimed to evaluate the contribution of activities prepared with Web 2.0 technologies for the sound formation unit within the scope of a music lesson to the learning levels of students. The study group consists of 220 students in the 9th grade of Trabzon Affan Kitapçioglu Anatolian High School. A 9-question knowledge test was applied as a measurement tool to make determinations regarding the realization of the achievements in the unit of "formation of sound". In the study, interviews were conducted with a randomly selected group of 8 students from the study group. The content analysis technique was used to analyze the data obtained as a result of the interviews. In line with the findings obtained from this study, it was determined that the activities prepared with Web 2.0 technologies contributed to the students' self-knowledge, self-confidence, protection of voice, voice change, and field expert knowledge, which also provided ease of learning theoretical knowledge.

This research investigated the correlations among problem-solving, coping styles, and stress levels of parents of children with autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and typical development. We used a correlational survey model design and collected the data with the Problem-Solving Inventory (PSI), the Ways of Coping Questionnaire (WCQ), and the Parent Stress Scale (PSS). The study group consisted of 350 parents. The research findings revealed that stress levels were negatively correlated with functional coping strategies and problem-solving. We found no significant difference between parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and typical development in terms of problem-solving approaches. Considering the relationships between the parents in terms of WCQ scores, there was no statistically significant difference in the subscales of self-confidence approach, submissiveness, optimistic approach, and seeking social support. Only the subscale of helplessness differed statistically based on the disability. Regarding the correlations between the groups in terms of stress levels, we found that the typical developmental group had lower PSS scores than the Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder groups. We believe that preventive support programs for stress management can make significant contributions to efficient coping methods and problem-solving.

This study aims to use the bibliometric analysis method to examine the scientific articles published between 2000-2022 in the field of Arabic Language Teaching (ALT) and to visualize the obtained data with visual mapping technique. The dataset consists of 861 educational research articles indexed in the "Web of Science" database and containing the terms Arabic teaching or Arabic learning or Arabic education. Content analysis and bibliometric analysis were used in the analysis of the data. In the research, the distribution of publications by language, years, countries, journals, organizations, publications and keywords were accessed. In addition, the data obtained were presented by creating visual maps with common word analysis. The results showed that the most used keywords "Arabic", "higher education", "Arabic language" and "bilingualism". Most of the web of science indexed studies in the field of Arabic Language Teaching (ALT) are from the USA and Israel. The journals that publish the most papers in the field of Arabic Language Teaching (ALT) are "Reading and Writing" and "Foreign Language Annals". This study provides a guide for new studies, to identify the trends in the field of Arabic teaching and to compare the existing research on the topic.

Twitter, a microblogging and social networking platform, has become a center of information and communication that allows us to stay connected in times of crisis. Twitter is a social media tool that can be used for educational purposes, especially in a crisis. Twitter allows users to share ideas and information via text messages called tweets, limited to 280 characters. This research is designed to reveal which authorities more widely inform areas of the public as part of the COVID-19 pandemia process. Snowball sampling method was used and tweets sent between March 11 and May 4 2020 by real and legal accounts in Turkey in health, education and utilities related to COVID-19 were analysed for this study. 4042 tweets sent from 800 different real and legal accounts, and content analyses were carried out. Information tweets sent by experts in health, education, and public fields were categorized in 10 different topics: science-health, vigilante activities, education, isolation, protection, economics, aid, hygiene, psychology, and culture & arts activities. As a result of the analysis, information tweets made in the areas of protection and isolation were found to be the most informed areas and the least informed areas in cultural arts and illegal activities.

In this study, it is aimed to improve the "Creativity-Supporting Home Environment Scale" for the purpose of determining the level of creativity in the home environment of parents with children aged 3-6 years old. Research study groups were composed of 500 parents across various provinces of Turkey. The scale items written in the context of the literature were presented to field experts for their opinion in accordance with the scale's purpose, and the content validity index was calculated as proof of the scale's content validity (0.89). A pretest application of the scale was conducted in accordance with the expert opinion, and the items were examined for their distinctiveness. A test application was conducted for the purpose of demonstrating the factor structure of the scale, and whether or not the data was appropriate for factor analysis by using KMO and Bartlett statistics. Factor analysis based upon principal component analysis was performed with the optimum application of parallel analysis, and according to both parallel analysis and scree plot, it was decided that the structure was four-dimensional. The percentage of the factors explaining the total variance was established as 49.9%. The item test correlation values of the items in each factor were found to be above 0.30 in accordance with the item analysis results. Two items that did not fulfill the criteria were removed from the scale by performing a confirmatory factor analysis to verify the structure. Factor loadings for 28 items in the scale were found to be higher than 0.30 and with error variances below 0.90. It was found that the McDonald's omega coefficients were between 0.71 and 0.88, and the Composite reliability coefficients were between 0.70 and 0.84 in the calculation of the reliability of the scale scores for each of the scale's four dimensions. For the whole scale, the stratified alpha reliability coefficient was calculated as 0.87. The obtained findings demonstrate that the "Creativity-Supporting Home Environment Scale" is a valid and reliable scale.

The main purpose of the present study was to develop and apply a mathematics program that meets the academic and mental needs of gifted and talented primary school students during distance education and to test the effectiveness of the program. The current study involved 120 gifted and talented fourth-grade students, 60 of whom were in the experimental group and 60 in the control group. The distance learning program was prepared based on the parallel curriculum model and the differentiation techniques proposed by the grid model were used. For the collection of data, the Mathematics Achievement Test and the Attitude Scale for Mathematics were given to the students in the experimental and control group as pre-test and post-test. The paired-samples t-test was used to compare the pre-test-post-test scores of students in the experimental and control group. The independent group's t-test was used to compare the post-test scores of the students in the experimental group with the post-test scores of the students in the control group. Also, covariance analysis was used to compare post-test achievement and attitude scores after controlling pre-test scores in the experimental and control groups. The results of this study indicate that a differentiated mathematics program delivered via distance education increased the achievement and attitude toward mathematics in the experimental group. It was also stated that conducting similar studies for different courses and comparing results will contribute to distance education.

The aim of this research is to examine the effects of Web 2.0 tools used in online education on the self-regulation perceptions of primary school fifth-grade students. For this purpose, the Sun, Earth and Moon units we processed online using Web 2.0 tools. The study was implemented in a public primary school over six weeks. The sample of the study consisted of 12 students (seven female and five male students) in the 10-11 age group. The mixed research method was used in the study. The "Perceived Self-Regulation Scale" developed by Arslan & Gelisli (2015) was used as a quantitative data for collecting information, and the "Semi-structured Telephone Interview on Self-regulation Perceptions" was used as a qualitative data collection tool. The quantitative data were analyzed using the SPSS program, and the qualitative data were analyzed using the content analysis method. The results of the study revealed that online education supported by Web 2.0 tools within the scope of the Sun, Earth, and Moon units had a positive effect on students' self-regulation perceptions.

The aim of this research is to create a scale to assess classroom teachers' attitudes towards illustrated children's books and to reveal the psychometric aspects of the scale. Between September 13th and December 22nd, 2021, data for the study were collected from classroom teachers in various provinces of Turkey via social networks. Data were collected from a total of 819 people, 517 of whom were included in the exploratory factor analysis in the first stage, while 302 of whom were included in the second-order confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) in the second stage. The exploratory factor analysis (EFA) done with the first sample group yielded a three-component construct with 20 items, ensuring the construct validity of the scale. A second-order CFA was conducted using the second sample group to give evidence for the construct. The convergent validity of the scale was examined with the average variance extracted (AVE) and combined reliability (CR) values, while the divergent validity of the scale was examined by comparing the [square root] AVE values with the correlation coefficients among the factors. Cronbach's alpha coefficient (Cr [alpha]) and combined reliability (CR) values were used to assess the scale's reliability. The scale was found to be valid and reliable in measuring classroom teachers' attitudes regarding illustrated children's books as a result of these examinations.

This study aimed to investigate preservice teachers' e-learning styles and their attitudes toward e-learning and present the relationship between them via a correlational survey model, a quantitative method. The study group was composed of 322 preservice teachers. The Demographic Information Form, the E-learning Styles Scale, and the Attitude Scale Toward E-Learning were used online to collect data during the the fall semester of the 2020-2021 academic year, when training was carried out completely in the form of distance education due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Preservice teachers were found to have the highest e-learning style score in the independent learning style. Their attitudes toward e-learning were above average. Independent learning style differed by gender, and verbal and logical learning styles differed by department. While there was no difference in the attitude toward e-learning by gender, a significant difference was found by department and place of residence. A low-level positive correlation was identified between preservice teachers' attitudes toward e-learning and visual-auditory, social, independent, and logical learning styles.

This study examined the period in depth by taking the instructors' perceptions on distant violin education practices in the first semester when the pandemic first hit. For this purpose, semi-structured interviews were held with 29 instructors working in 16 among 26 music education departments. Thus, by making a maximum variation, a significant part of the music teaching departments in Turkey was taken as a sample (65%). The data were collected via Google Meet and Zoom interviews and analysed thematically with MAXQDA software. As a result of the research, it has been determined that the instructors think distance violin education is unsuitable for violin education in many aspects, especially the inability to give immediate feedback, physical intervention, motivation, communication, and technical problems. However, some instructors also point out that distance violin education has positive aspects in terms of self-control, self-development, rewatching the courses, meticulous work for the course recordings, and repetition.

This study aimed to examine the environmental awareness of Turkish primary school students in the context of some demographic variables. The study was carried out with the general survey method. An online questionnaire was used as a data collection tool due to the Covid 19 pandemic conditions during the study. The first part of this survey form included demographic questions about gender, grade, household income, mother's graduation, and father's graduation. The second part included the 5-Likert type 21-item Elementary School Environment Awareness Scale (ESEAS). The original ESAS developed by Yildiz Yilmaz and Mentis Tas (2017) consists of 31 items. As a result of a pilot study, it was decided to exclude 14 items from the original scale. The exploratory factor analysis result revealed that the scale showed a structure with five sub-dimensions (ecocentric, nature responsibility, anthropocentric, environmental knowledge, and hedonistic). Two hundred sixty primary school students at the 2nd and 4th-grade levels participated in the study. The present study's results, which examined elementary school students' environmental awareness levels, showed that the null hypothesis was accepted in most scores related to scale factors. These results show that the students who participated in the study tended to have information about the environment and the factors that threatened the environment, to be sensitive to nature, and to be ready to sacrifice to solve environmental problems. The analysis results show that the participants agreed with the statements in ecocentric, nature responsibility, ecological knowledge, and hedonistic sub-dimensions. At the same time, they disagreed with the views of the anthropocentric sub-dimension. It was determined that there was a significant difference between the groups in the context of some demographic variables.

This research examines the effectiveness of the STEM Supported Inquiry-Based Learning Approach on the conceptual understanding of 7th graders. In the study, a mixed-method design was adopted. The research was carried out with 64 students studying in a secondary school. The study used a Conceptual Understanding Test (CUT) and an Interview Form as data collection tools. Quantitative data obtained in the research were analyzed using ANCOVA and T-test. Qualitative data were proceeded by subjecting them to content and descriptive analysis. Examining the study results, STEM Supported Inquiry-Based Learning Approach increased students' conceptual understanding in the experimental group and the Inquiry-Based Learning Approach in the control group. It was determined that the science teaching in the experimental group was more effective in the conceptual understanding of 7th graders. The students stated that the science teaching in the experimental group was fun, created excitement, made them feel happy, instilled cooperation and team spirit, and thought by doing and living. Depending on the results obtained from the research, it was implicated that STEM-supported education should be carried out by determining the engineering design process steps suitable for the middle school level.

Computer science works as hardware and software increasingly takes place in each of our daily lives with effective products and services. As in all areas, it is an inevitable part of learning and teaching computer-based environment-tools and equipment in the fate and type of education, including early childhood. Computer science products may require extensive hardware, hardware, and software, or it can be very simple in terms of level and purpose. It is possible to create products and services with coding to be done using advanced programming languages, as well as coding techniques that are simple to use for teaching children in education in early childhood education institutions. In this way, it is possible for children to realize what they want as a producer not only as a consumer, but with a more permanent learning. At the same time, learning of coding techniques for preschool teachers to use in the education of children in these age slices will make the education more participatory, collaborative, effective and successful. The "coding skills" that preschool teacher candidates will have will provide important benefits in their professional development. Therefore, it is important to investigate the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of preschool teacher students about coding education. The aim of this study is to determine the coding knowledge, skills, experience, and opinions of preschool teacher candidates at Trakya University Faculty of Education about this subject. A questionnaire consisting of 30 questions was applied to 213 students studying in the fall semester of 2019-2020 academic year at Trakya University Faculty of Education, Department of Basic Education Preschool teaching program. As a result of the research, it has been determined that preschool teacher candidates do not have sufficient knowledge, skills and experience in coding and do not show positive attitudes about coding education. It is known that many methods including voice training practices are used in the improvement of stuttering. With the studies carried out for this purpose, it is aimed to relieve the individual from feelings such as lack of self-confidence, anxiety, and embarrassment, as well as to support the education life and literacy experiences of the individual. With this research, it is aimed to get the views of the teachers working in the Guidance and Research Center (RAM) about their ability to use voice training practices in the improvement of stuttering and to determine the level of the studies on this issue in the RAM. The study group of the research consists of 9 teachers determined by typical case sampling. An interview form consisting of 6 open-ended questions and a demographic information form with 4 questions were applied to the study group. Descriptive analysis technique was used in the analysis of the data obtained as a result of the interviews. In line with the findings obtained from this study, it was determined that the participants declared that the courses they took in undergraduate education for the improvement of speech disorders were not sufficient to use in their professional lives. In addition, it has been determined that the teachers working in these institutions consider the applications made in RAM to improve stuttering insufficiently. They believe that breathing and voice exercises can be used in the improvement of stuttering.

This research aimed to investigate the effect of distance education during the COVID-19 pandemic on psychological counselor candidates' self-efficacy perceptions towards online technologies and their motivation for online learning. Single group pretest-posttest model, a quantitative method, was used in the research. The study participants were third-year students at the Faculty of Education, Psychological Counseling and Guidance Department of a state university in the fall semester of 2020-2021. Demographic Information Form, Online Technologies Self-Efficacy Scale and Online Motivation Scale were used as data collection tools. As a result of the research, it was observed that the psychological counselor candidates' self-efficacy for online technologies and online learning motivation scores were above the average. It was concluded that the distance education used during the COVID-19 pandemic caused a statistically significant difference in psychological counselor candidates' self-efficacy towards online technologies, but did not cause a difference in their online learning motivation. There was no significant difference in self-efficacy according to gender and place of residence. However, while there was no significant difference in motivation according to gender, a significant difference was observed in regards to the place of residence in favor of city-center. It is important to present psychological counselor candidates' perceptions and motivations in regards to distance education, which is an ongoing process at the moment, for their professional development.

In this study, prospective Arabic teacher's opinions about the ideal Arabic teacher characteristics were examined. The study was carried out according to the phenomenology study pattern, which is one of the qualitative research methods. The study group of this research, which was carried out in the 2021-2022 academic year, was determined by convenience sampling; The study consisted of 63 freshmen and sophomore teacher candidates, 25 male and 38 female, studying in the Arabic Language Teaching Program of the Faculty of Education at Süleyman Demirel University. Document was used as a data collection tool in the research. Teacher candidates were asked to write an essay about the ideal Arabic teacher. The compositions of the students formed the documents of the research. Interpretation of the data was done by content analysis. The findings of the study showed that pre-service teachers' views on the ideal Arabic teacher were divided into three themes: "Personal Characteristics "Professional Characteristics" and "Field Competence."

In this study, it was aimed to determine the views of music teachers who delivered distance musical instrument education within the scope of amateur music education during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study group of the research consisted of 19 music teachers determined by the purposive sampling method, and the data were obtained with a semi-structured interview form, most of which consisted of open-ended questions. In line with the findings obtained from the study, it was determined that the musical instrument education carried out by the teachers participating in the research during the pandemic had a positive impact on the lesson process, the motivation of the student, self-confidence, study discipline, and individual responsibility. In addition, it has been determined that teachers have experienced some negativities in terms of the teaching process and technology in distance education carried out during the pandemic.

The objective of this study is to develop a scale to measure science and biology teacher candidates' awareness of micro-plastic pollution. The sample group consists of 586 participants from 4 universities who are currently enrolled in science and biology teaching programmes. "Microplastic Pollution Awareness Scale (MPAS)" used as data collection tool developed by the researcher. EFA was applied to the data obtained from the application, it was determined that the scale had a 3-factor structure, and that the factors made up 49.57% of the total variance in general. DFA was applied to verify the obtained factor structure. According to the DFA results; X[superscript 2]/df is perfect harmony; RMSEA, SRMR, CFI, GFI and NNFI are good/perfect harmony; AGFI and NFI are acceptable harmony. The overall reliability coefficient of the scale was determined as 81, the value of which is considered to be of high level reliability. MKFÖ, which is a likert scale, consists of a total of 14 items, including 5 negative and 9 positive items. The maximum score that can be obtained from the scale is determined as 28, and the score obtained from the scale is in direct proportion with the level of awareness of the individual about microplastic pollution.

The present study was conducted to determine the views of preschool teachers on the Preschool Anatolian Tales textbook published by the Ministry of National Education. The case study method, a qualitative research model, was employed in the study. The study group included 20 pre-school teachers employed in various kindergartens serving the Eyyübiye district in Sanliurfa province, Turkey, and assigned with the purposive sampling method, who had the Preschool Anatolian Tales Education Set in their school and stated that they examined these tales and conducted related activities with children. The study data were collected with a semi-structured interview form. Data analysis was conducted with the content analysis method. The participating teachers stated that the Preschool Anatolian Tales textbook was suitable for the level of the students, contributed to the development of social, emotional, language, critical and creative thinking skills, introduced Turkish culture to the children, and expressed views on the size and illustrations in the book.

Graduate students are faced with some difficulties in determining statistical methods to be used in their assignments and researches and this leads to anxiety in them. In this study, it was aimed to examine the relationships between statistical anxiety and metacognitive awareness levels of graduate students studying in the field of mathematics education and to compare these levels in terms of some variables. The research study group consists of 101 students studying at the master's and doctorate levels in the department of mathematics education and participated in the research voluntarily. As a data collection tool in the research, Statistical Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Metacognitive Awareness Scale (MCAS) were used. In the analysis of the data, descriptive statistics, ttest, ANOVA and Correlation Coefficient were used. According to the research results, it was determined that there is a negative and moderately significant relationship between statistical anxiety and metacognitive awareness levels of graduate students studying in the field of mathematics education. As a result of the analyzes, it was observed that the statistical anxiety and metacognitive awareness of the students were high, the statistical anxiety and metacognitive awareness levels differed statistically according to the variables of graduate education level and stage of graduate education, but did not differ significantly according to the variables of gender and taking statistics course.

This study aimed to investigate the problems faced by pre-service teachers in the distance education process, which has been implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study was carried out as a case study of qualitative research methods. The study group comprised pre-service teachers receiving education in the faculty of education in a state university in Turkey during the spring term of the 2019-2020 academic year. In order to collect data, the researcher created an interview form. Then the form was applied to the pre-service teachers on a volunteer basis and online. The content analysis method was used in the data analysis. The data were coded by two researchers. Miles and Huberman's (1994) formula was used for a consensus between the coders. At the end of the study the problems experienced by the pre-service teachers were collected under the themes of implementation, student, impossibility, technical and instructor. The pre-service teachers stated that they mainly faced problems such as the lack of time spared for live courses regarding "implementation"; failure of establishing communication with friends regarding "student"; absence of internet regarding "impossibility", sound problems regarding "technical" and lack of communication regarding "instructor". Determining the problems is a step to their solutions in learning and teaching environment.
