A topological index is a numerical parameter of a graph which characterizes some of the topological properties of the graph. The concepts of Wiener polarity index and Wiener index were established in chemical graph theory by means of the distances. The double generalized Petersen graph denoted by DP(n,k) is obtained by attaching the vertices of outer pendent vertices to inner pendent vertices lying at distance k. The length of the outer and inner cycle is n, thus the number of vertices are 4n and the number of edges in the DP(n,k) are 6n. In this paper, the Wiener polarity index of DP(n,k for 3≤n≤6 and for n≥6k+1 is computed. Further, the Wiener index of DP(n,k), for k={1,2} is determined.

OBJECTIVE: To find the different etiological factors underlying a midline diastema which will help in effective orthodontic correction by enabling the practitioner to adopt the most appropriate mechanics. METHODS: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted at the Department of Orthodontics, Nishtar Institute of Dentistry, Multan, from 01-08-2020 to 01-02-2021. A sample of 165 patients was analyzed according to age, gender, presenting various occlusal traits, and relevant diastema findings to assess the underlying etiology of the maxillary midline diastema. Cases with a midline diastema of >0.5 mm were documented with examination including clinical intra-oral examination and orthopantomograms and upper occlusal radiographs. Examinations were done by the same observer to reduce human error and were cross-checked by a superior to minimize the possibility of error. The data was analyzed using SPSS version 20.0. RESULTS: Dental anomalies (n=113, 68.6%) was the most frequent cause of maxillary midline diastema. Dental anomalies were observed in both females (n=77/112; 68.8%) and males (n=36/53; 67.9%). Common dental anomalies included tooth/arch size discrepancies (n=58, 51.3%), abnormal occlusal patterns (n=37; 32.7%) and missing teeth (n=18 15.9%). Other contributing factors for maxillary midline diastema observed were abnormal maxillary arch structure (n=30; 18%), physical impediments (n=18; 11%), muscular imbalances (n=3; 1.8%) and pernicious habits (n=1; 0.6%). Common causes of physical impediments were fleshy labial frenum 10/18; 55.6%) and supernumerary tooth (n=8/18; 44.4%). CONCLUSION: Maxillary midline diastema was common in both genders and was associated with multiple etiologies of which dental anomalies, abnormal maxillary arch structure and physical impediments were highly prevalent.

Big data is a collection of complex and large volumes of data that is not easily handled by the traditional process. The top ten big data science communities include Kaggle, IBM data community, Reddit, open data science, data science central, data community DC, stack overflow, data quest, the data science society, and driven data. Among the online communities, Reddit is a promising online platform that connects millions of people to each other. It is a fruitful online platform that offers business firms to reach the maximum audience. In this paper, we introduce a new extended form of the generalized Rayleigh distribution to model the Reddit advertising and breast cancer data sets. The proposed model is called a new generalized Rayleigh distribution and possesses heavy-tailed properties. The maximum likelihood estimators along with certain mathematical properties are obtained. Finally, the new generalized Rayleigh distribution is applied to the Reddit advertising and breast cancer data sets and its comparisons are done with the other generalized forms of the Rayleigh distribution.

The effort is presented to numerical examine the flow behavior of non-Newtonian fluid through orthogonal porous surfaces. A two-phase model of nanofluids simulations is considered which represents speculative features of materials that are obliged in biomechanics, lubricants formation, polymer solution, suspension, etc. The mechanism of interfacial nano layer at surfaces is deliberated through thermal conductivity. In this paper, we introduce a new class of statistical models to deal with the data sets in the sports and health sectors. The new class is called, a novel exponent power-Y (NovEP-Y) family of distributions. By implementing the NovEP-Y approach, a new model, namely, a novel exponent power-Weibull (NovEP-Weibull) distribution is introduced. Some distributional properties of the NovEP-Y family such as identifiability, order statistics, quantile function, and moments are obtained. The maximum likelihood estimators of the parameters are also derived. Furthermore, a brief Monto Carlo simulation study is conducted to evaluate the performances of the estimators. To show the applicability of the NovEP-Weibull model, two data sets from the sports and health sciences are considered. The first data set represents the time-to-even data collected from different football matches during the period 1964–2018. Whereas, the second data set is taken from the health sector, representing the survival times of the COVID-19 infected patients. Based on some well-known statistical tests, it is observed that the NovEP-Weibull model is a very competitive distribution for modeling the data sets in the sports and health sectors.

Early management of burns is an essential component of achieving desirable patient outcomes. One of the earliest points of patient management in the case of burn injuries is in the prehospital setting. Unlike first aid, which can be provided by a non-healthcare worker, fluid resuscitation can be provided in the prehospital setting by emergency medical services personnel. This systematic review aims to investigate whether burn patients are receiving accurate fluid resuscitation in the prehospital setting. In addition, it will investigate if existing inaccuracies could impact patient outcomes negatively. This systematic review was completed in accordance with the guidelines from the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). The search for eligible studies started by searching relevant databases (PubMed, Embase, Medline, and Google Scholar). The selected studies were screened, and data were extracted and analyzed using a narrative synthesis approach. Seven studies met the inclusion criteria of this review, with a total of 961 patients. All seven studies included in this review reported that the volume of fluids for resuscitation purposes received by burn patients in the prehospital setting was inaccurate. However, most reported that the patient outcomes were not affected. Most of the studies were rated as “good,” however, and further high-quality randomized control studies are required before strong recommendations can be made.

Abstract Numerical simulations of non-linear Casson nanofluid flow were carried out in a microchannel using the fractal-fractional flow model. The nano-liquid is prepared by dispersing Cadmium Telluride nanoparticles in common engine oil. Using relative constitutive equations, the system of mathematical governing equations has been formulated along with initial and boundary conditions. Dimensionless variables have been used to obtain the non-dimensional form of the governing equations. The fractal-fractional model has been obtained by employing the fractal-fractional operator of the exponential kernel. As the exact solution of the non-linear fractal-fractional model is very tough to find, therefore the formulated model has been solved numerically via the Crank-Nicolson scheme. Various plots are generated for the inserted parameters. From the analysis, it has been observed that a greater magnitude of the electro-kinetic parameter slows down the fluid's velocity. It is also worth noting that the fractional and classical models can also be derived from the fractal-fractional model by taking the parameters tend to zero. From the analysis, it is also observed that in response to 0.04 volume fraction of cadmium telluride nanoparticles, the rate of heat transfer (Nusselt number) and rate of mass transfer (Sherwood number) increased by 15.27% and 2.07% respectively.

The state-of-the-art thermoelectric technology owns a unique capability of direct, noise-free, and efficient conversion of waste heat into valuable electricity. The conventional thermoelectric generators are complex and expensive in fabrication, which restricts their use in wearable and miniaturized electronics to fulfill the current and rapid growth in demands for sufficient self-powered energy harvesters. Herein, this comprehensive review paper highlights the promising and next-generation thermoelectric generators based on flexible, transparent, abundant, non-toxic, and lightweight p-type Copper Iodide (CuI) thin films. It introduces the principles of energy conversion within thin-film thermoelectric generators and the structure of p–n junction including the criteria in the selection of substrates, p-type and n-type materials, connecting electrodes, and modules designed to sustain its mechanical flexibility and optical transparency. This review underlines the morphology and properties of CuI thin-film thermoelectric generators to figure out the latest trends in advanced synthesis and characterization techniques. It draws attention to its promising applications in wearable biosensing, energy harvesting, and smart miniaturized electronics. It discusses also the challenges and prospects in boosting the thermoelectric performance of CuI thin-film generators. This targeting to exceed the unity in its Figure-of-Merit (ZT) values for excellent output power generation, large-scale production for commercialization, and long-term stability for reliable thermoelectric applications.

Silicon (Si) solar cells are the dominant and well-developed solar technology holding more than 95% share of the photovoltaic market with efficiencies over 26%. Still, this value is far away from the Shockley–Queisser limit of 33.15% for single-junction devices. A prominent way to surpass this limit and boost the device performance is to combine different bandgap materials in a tandem configuration. The rapid emergence of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) as one of the most exciting research fields with over 25% efficiency has attracted the focus of the scientific community. The solution-processability, bandgap tunability, and outstanding optoelectronic properties of perovskites mark them a potential pair with silicon to develop tandem solar cells (TSCs). In nearly seven to eight years of development, Si/perovskite TSCs have achieved record certified efficiencies of over 29%. This review emphasizes on two and four-terminal Si/perovskite TSCs. Initially, the advancement of efficiencies to date is discussed, including a comparison of numerous perovskite and silicon material choices. Then, the evolution of PSCs with Si (homojunction and heterojunction) bottom devices and their impact on the performance of TSCs is summarized. The suitable candidates for the perovskite and Si cells are proposed for Si/perovskite TSCs. Next, factors influencing the performance of tandems, such as fabrication issues on textured surfaces, parasitic absorption, reflection losses, nonideal perovskite absorber layer bandgap, device instability, and large-area fabrication, are highlighted. To reduce the electrical and optical losses for highly efficient tandems, an investigation of anti-reflecting coatings, current matching mechanisms, transparent electrodes, and recombination layers is discussed. Finally, based on these findings, future guidelines are proposed to boost the efficiencies beyond 30%. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first detailed study on two and four-terminal Si/perovskite TSCs. These findings would open new avenues for the research community with detailed information on Si/perovskite tandem cells.

To eradicate most infectious diseases, mathematical modelling of contagious diseases has revealed that a combination of quarantine, vaccination, and cure is frequently required. However, eradicating the disease will remain a difficult task if they aren't provided at the appropriate time and in the right quantity. Control analysis has been shown to be an effective way for discovering the best approaches to preventing the spread of contagious diseases through the development of disease preventive interventions. The method comprises reducing the cost of infection, implementing control measures, or both. In order to gain a better understanding of COVID-19′s future dynamics, this study presents a compartmental mathematical model. The problem is modelled as a highly nonlinear coupled system of classical order ODEs, which is then generalised using the Mittag-Leffler kernel's fractal-fractional derivative. The uniqueness of the fractional model under discussion has also been demonstrated. The boundedness and non-negativity of the considered model are also established. The next generation technique is used to examine basic reproduction, and disease free and endemic equilibrium. We used reported cases from Australia in this investigation due to the high risk of infection. The reported cases are considered between 1st July 2021 and 20th August 2021. On the basis of previous data, the spread of infection is predicted for the next 600 days which is shown through different graphs. The graphical solution of the considered nonlinear model is obtained via numerical scheme by implementing the MATLAB software. Based on the fitted values of parameters, the basic reproduction number R0 is calculated as R0≈1.58276. Furthermore, the impact of fractional and fractal parameter on the disease spread among different classes is demonstrated. In addition, the impact of quarantine and vaccination on infected people is dramatically depicted. It's been argued that public awareness of the quarantine and effective vaccination can drastically reduce infection rates in the population.

The ever-increasing energy demand around the world has attracted research efforts to transform renewable energy sources efficiently. This study reports the design parameters of the parabolic solar dish Stirling (PSDS) system, and the applications of PSDS systems have been discussed. In order to find the optimized design choices for the implementation of the PSDS plants, the system performance and key technical features of the parabolic dish concentrator, thermal receiver, and Stirling engine (SE) are demonstrated. Existing literature depicts significant differences in scope and frontiers of PSDS systems and their primary design characteristics such as the concentrators reflecting material, the concentrator and receiver shape, the dish diameter, aperture area sizing of the dish, the focal length of the dish, rim angle, the geometric concentration ratio, receiver material, and receiver diameter. The data coincide within published articles have been gathered and disaggregated regarding the optimal performance that influences the dish and diameter of the receiver, rim angle, and the geometric concentration ratio. The overall maximum theoretical efficiency of a PSDS system is 23.05% whereas an experimental study of power generation through PSDS system stated 22.75% overall efficiency with levelized cost of energy is 0.2565 $/kWh. This scientific literature review imparts a knowledge gap of recent development and data inventory in PSDS technology. Besides, this study develops grounds for several research areas for the scientific community yet to be explored to attain the optimal performance of the parabolic dish system.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is suffering major delays in construction projects. Because the construction business in Saudi Arabia has changed dramatically over the last three decades, it is crucial to conduct a thorough study into the reasons for delays and to get industry experts on the same page. In this paper, an overview of the construction sector generally and the Saudi Arabian construction industry has been presented. Based on the literature review the major causes, as well as effects of the delays caused in the construction industry, have been identified. Some of the common causes identified are incorrect planning, administration problems, difficulties in financing, lack of experienced staff, and poor communication. It is advised that the major actors in the construction sector employ the proper tactics to implement preventative measures to lessen the consequences when carrying out construction projects.

Burn dressings play a vital role in protecting the patient from infection and aiding in the wound healing process. At present, the best burn wound dressing remains unknown. This study aimed to assess the efficacy of honey versus silver sulfadiazine dressing (SSD) for the treatment of superficial and partial thickness burns. We performed a systematic review and meta-analysis using the PubMed, MEDLINE and Embase databases to find relevant randomised control trials (RCTs) for inclusion. The outcomes measures included complete burn wound healing time, the proportion of wounds rendered sterile and subjective pain relief associated with the respective dressing type. This review was completed in line with PRISMA guidelines and has been registered with PROSPERO (Study ID: CRD42022337433). All studies in the English language that assessed honey versus SSD for patients with superficial or partial thickness burns were included. Quality and risk of bias assessments were performed using the Cochrane RoB2 tool. Seven studies were identified: totalling a population of 582 patients. From three studies, meta-analysis showed no significant difference in complete wound healing time (p = 0.06). Meta-analysis from five studies highlighted an overall significant difference favouring honey dressing in the proportion of wounds rendered sterile at day 7 post-injury (OR 10.80; 95% CI [5.76, 20.26]; p < 0.00001; I2 = 88%). We conclude that honey dressings may be as or more effective than SSD in the treatment of superficial and partial thickness burn injuries. However, due to the low quality of available studies in this field, further research is necessary to establish the optimum burn dressing. Ideally, this should be conducted in the form of prospective three-arm RCTs in accordance with the CONSORT statement.

Abstract Gold nanoparticles are commonly used as a tracer in laboratories. They are biocompatible and can transport heat energy to tumor cells via a variety of clinical techniques. As cancer cells are tiny, properly sized nanoparticles were introduced into the circulation for invasion. As a result, gold nanoparticles are highly effective. Therefore, the current research investigates the magnetohydrodynamic free convection flow of Casson nanofluid in an inclined channel. The blood is considered as a base fluid, and gold nanoparticles are assumed to be uniformly dispersed in it. The above flow regime is formulated in terms of partial differential equations. The system of derived equations with imposed boundary conditions is non-dimensionalized using appropriate dimensionless variables. Fourier's and Fick's laws are used to fractionalize the classical dimensionless model. The Laplace and Fourier sine transformations with a new transformation are used for the closed-form solutions of the considered problem. Finally, the results are expressed in terms of a specific function known as the Mittag-Leffler function. Various figures and tables present the effect of various physical parameters on the achieved results. Graphical results conclude that the fractional Casson fluid model described a more realistic aspect of the fluid velocity profile, temperature, and concentration profile than the classical Casson fluid model. The heat transfer rate and Sherwood number are calculated and presented in tabular form. It is worth noting that increasing the volume percentage of gold nanoparticles from 0 to 0.04 percent resulted in an increase of up to 3.825% in the heat transfer rate.

In accordance with shari’ah principles, Islamic banks have to be involved in supply chains of financed assets. However, Islamic banks are simultaneously part of the western banking system that is reluctant to be involved in the real economy. Due to these dual poorly understood boundaries, scholarly disputes persist on the similarities between Islamic and conventional banking. This study adopts the library research and systematic literature review method. After discussing “Islamic finance involvement in the supply chain of the financed asset” by library research method, the systematic literature review (SLR) approach, to search and review Islamic finance and supply chain integrated studies, was adopted, and the Web of Science and Scopus databases initially searched. An extended SLR was then used to search other databases for the review period from 2010 until 3rd February 2020. The library research method discovered the involvement of Islamic finance in the supply chain of the financed asset. The SLR also found similar involvement in several other studies. This study showed that Islamic finance can support the supply chain and solve real business issues, including support beyond traditional financing. It maintains, within a different perspective, that the integration between Islamic finance and supply chain is able to resolve real business problems. And as such, the differentiation between Islamic and conventional banking will be self-explanatory. This study potentially contributes, in a novel perspective, to a greater understanding of the working of current Islamic banking and finance in the economy.

Cryptocurrency is a digital currency and also exists in the form of coins. It has turned out as a leading method for peer-to-peer online cash systems. Due to the importance and increasing influence of Bitcoin on business and other related sectors, it is very crucial to model or predict its behavior. Therefore, in recent, numerous researchers have attempted to understand and model the behaviors of cryptocurrency exchange rates. In the practice of actuarial and financial studies, heavy-tailed distributions play a fruitful role in modeling and describing the log returns of financial phenomena. In this paper, we propose a new family of distributions that possess heavy-tailed characteristics. Based on the proposed approach, a modified version of the logistic distribution, namely, a new modified exponential-logistic distribution is introduced. To illustrate the new modified exponential-logistic model, two financial data sets are analyzed. The first data set represents the log-returns of the Bitcoin exchange rates. Whereas, the second data set represents the log-returns of the Ethereum exchange rates. Furthermore, to forecast the high volatile behavior of the same datasets, we apply dual machine learning algorithms, namely Artificial neural network and support vector regression. The effectiveness of these models is evaluated against self exciting threshold autoregressive model.

Statistical methods are frequently used in numerous healthcare and other related sectors. One of the possible applications of the statistical methods is to provide the best description of the data sets in the healthcare sector. Keeping in view the applicability of statistical methods in the medical sector, numerous models have been introduced. In this paper, we also introduce a novel statistical method called, a new modified-G family of distributions. Several mathematical properties of the new modified-G family are derived. Based on the new modified-G method, a new updated version of the Weibull model called, a new modified-Weibull distribution is introduced. Furthermore, the estimators of the parameters of the new modified-G distributions are also obtained. Finally, the applicability of the new modified-Weibull distribution is illustrated by analyzing two medical sets. Using certain analytical tools, it is observed that the new modified-Weibull distribution is the best choice to deal with the medical data sets.

Objective High intraocular pressure (IOP) is one of the major modifiable risk factors for glaucoma. The objective was to examine socio-demographic and clinical factors related to IOP.Methods and analysis This study was conducted among 3097 adults residing in a rural area of Bangladesh, with all participants undergoing clinical and ophthalmological evaluations. The measurement of IOP was carried out using of a rebound Tonometer called Icare pro. Multiple logistic regression analysis was employed to identify variables associated to IOP levels of 21 mm Hg or above. Adjusted OR (aOR) and 95% CI were reported.Results This study found that, in total, 9% of the study population had high IOP in one or both eyes. Elevated IOP was significantly associated with respondents who were service holders (aOR 2.52; 95% CI 1.48 to 4.31), had a lower education level (aOR 1.55, 95% CI 1.07 to 2.23), used biomass fuel (aOR 2.00; 95% CI 1.09 to 3.67), belonged to a higher socioeconomic position (aOR 1.55, 95% CI 1.07 to 2.23) and had obesity (aOR 2.00; 95% CI 1.07 to 3.73), hypertension (aOR 1.32; 95% CI 1.01 to 1.73) or history of diabetes (aOR 2.44; 95% CI 1.67 to 3.55), after adjusting for covariates including age, sex, marital status, light source and tobacco consumption, in a multiple regression analysis.Conclusion Chronic diseases, such as hypertension and diabetes, obesity and sociodemographic characteristics such as high socioeconomic status and use of biomass fuels, have all been linked to elevated IOP. Patients with chronic diseases should undergo for IOP testing regularly.

Background: Irrational antibiotic use among hospitalized patients can lead to antibiotic resistance. For rational use, the WHO introduced the Access, Watch, and Reserve (AWaRe) classification of antibiotics. We explored antibiotic use according to the AWaRe classification among patients hospitalized with severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) between the prepandemic and COVID-19 pandemic periods in Bangladesh. Methods: From June 2017 to November 2022, we analyzed SARI inpatient data from the hospital-based influenza surveillance platform at 9 tertiary-level hospitals in Bangladesh. We defined June 2017–February 2020 as the prepandemic period and March 2020–November 2022 as the pandemic period. Physicians identified inpatients meeting the WHO SARI case definition and recorded patient demographics, clinical characteristics, and antibiotics received during hospitalization. We used descriptive statistics to summarize the data. Results: We enrolled 20,640 SARI patients (median age, 20 years; IQR, 1.6–50; 63% male); and among them, 18,197 (88%) received antibiotics (26% of those received >1 different course of antibiotics). Compared to the prepandemic period, the proportion of antibiotic use among SARI patients was higher during the pandemic: 93% (9,887 of 10,655) versus 83% (8,310 of 9,985) (P < .001). According to AWaRe classification, Access, Watch, and Reserve groups accounted for 32% (n = 2,623), 86% (n = 7,158), and 0.05% (n = 4), respectively, before the pandemic and 32% (n = 3,194), 90% (n = 8,850), and 0.08% (n = 8), respectively, during the pandemic (Fig.). More recently, social enterprises are considered sustainable form of social purpose organizations due to financial sustainability goal. However, due to their dual focus and diversity of stakeholder, they face unique communication and governance challenge when compared with other social purpose organization. Given the multiplicity of stakeholders and plural institutional environment, this study offers insight into the tensions associated with the accountability and information management system of these organizations. A mixed research design was employed to study the accountability information reported by social enterprises and their underlying rationalities. The study findings suggest that accountability information are reported & employed with the focus on survival, resource generation, collective welfare, and positive image. Existing social enterprises adopted private arrangement or symbolic compliance for influencing legitimacy perceptions.

Histopathology is the gold standard for diagnosis of cancers as well as many non- neoplastic diseases. Pakistan is a country of more than 220 million people and the fifth most populated country of the world. Unfortunately, it has a weak healthcare system in general and poor pathology services in particular. Till date, only 338 histopathologists have passed their fellowship examination in Pakistan; this has led to a very alarming situation considering the marked increase in the prevalence of cancer cases and other diseases which need histopathological interpretation. There are only 18 big histopathological labs in the country, the majority of which are located in major cities which further delays the diagnosis of patients who live in rural areas. Immediate steps are required for better histopathology services in the country. Adoption of digital tools may bridge the gaps of histopathology-practice and ensure consistency across the country.

Statistical modeling is a crucial phase for decision-making and predicting future events. Data arising from engineering-related fields have most often complex structures whose failure rate possesses mixed state behaviors (i.e., non-monotonic shapes). For the data sets whose failure rates are in the mixed state, the utilization of the traditional probability models is not a suitable choice. Therefore, searching for more flexible probability models that are capable of adequately describing the mixed state failure data sets is an interesting research topic for researchers. In this paper, we propose and study a new statistical model to achieve the above goal. The proposed model is called a new beta power very flexible Weibull distribution and is capable of capturing five different patterns of the failure rate such as uni-modal, decreasing-increasing-decreasing, bathtub, decreasing, increasing-decreasing-increasing shapes. The estimators of the new beta power very flexible Weibull distribution are obtained using the maximum likelihood method. The evaluation of the estimators is assessed by conducting a simulation study. Finally, the usefulness and applicability of the new beta power very flexible Weibull distribution are shown by analyzing two engineering data sets. Using four information criteria, it is observed that the new beta power very flexible Weibull distribution is the best-suited model for dealing with failure times data sets.

Lentil belonging to the fabaceae family is a proteinaceous cool-season legume consumed across the world. However, lentil is low yielding with a narrow genetic base compared to other grain legumes such as chickpea, faba bean, and cowpea. In the present study, we intended to investigate the effect of two different mutagens viz., caffeine and lead nitrate on the bio-physiological and agronomical traits of lentil. Unlike other mutagens like ethyl methanesulphonate, sodium azide, and hydrazine hydrates very little is known about the mutagenic potency of caffeine and lead nitrate. The results revealed contrasting effects as lower doses of caffeine-induced a substantial increase in mean values of physiological and agronomical traits whereas both lower and higher doses of lead nitrate negatively impacted the agronomical traits of lentil. Among the mutagen doses, 0.1% caffeine was most efficient in inducing a substantial increase in mean values of bio-physiological and quantitative traits. The present study also revealed the successful conduct of induced mutagenesis in lentil and present a protocol that could be followed in future breeding programs aimed at increasing the yielding potential of legumes.

Premature infants are traditionally nursed in an open bay Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), making them extremely vulnerable to recurrent outbreaks from the hospital-built environment (including water sources). Our experience, like many others, has shown that plumbing in hospital premise can harbour pathogens that result in healthcare-associated infections.In 2016, the National University Hospital of Singapore NICU-infection control multidisciplinary workgroup was set up to monitor and implement strategies to reduce late-onset-sepsis (LOS).Various water free and avoidance of tap water use measures were taken to further reduce incidence of LOS since 2016-17 .This included use of alcohol based hand-rub for routine hand hygiene and before performing procedures such as insertion of central lines. Sinks in close proximity to patient beds were closed. In August 2022, a new NICU was designed to have only 1 sink in clinical area. Existing sinks underwent scheduled monthly change of P-trap. Irrigated sterile water replacing warmed tap water was used to bathe the premature infants. We define this as ‘Water Less NICU care’. Ongoing measures for infection control (e.g., antibiotic policy, high hand hygiene compliance of healthcare personnel, NICU acuity and admission, nurse-patient ratio etc.) remained unchanged. The rate of late onset sepsis (LOS) rate among very low birth weight (babies born below 1500 grams) babies declined from baseline 12.5%(2015) to around 5-6% per year between 2016-2021 period. We believe implementation of Water Less NICU care has contributed to the reduction in LOS for VLBW babies. It is doable and an important step towards sustainable infection control in the NICU.

Applications: Thermal conductivity of nanomaterials potentially contributes in heat transport applications. Due to heat absorbing and cooling characteristics, nanoparticles broadly use in environmental engineering, solar plates, computational chemistry, chemical engineering and thermal engineering etc. Thus, it is substantial to identify the nanomaterials with effective heat generating or absorbing properties which have variety of applications in mechanical engineering. Purpose: and Methodology: The main focus of this study are to introduce a nanofluid model using ZnO-SAE50 nanolubricant under additional effects of solar thermal radiations, magnetic field and resistive heating. This parametric study will help to maintain the temperature under various ranges of physical parameters which has broad applications in many engineering disciplines. The achieved model analyzed through numerical approach and comprehensive analysis provided in the view of furnished results. Major findings: Investigation of the results provided that the heat transport is maximize using ZnO-SAE50 nanolubricant while; conventional SAE50 is not good to achieve desired heat transfer rate. Solar thermal radiations and dissipation effects positively act on the temperature role of ZnO-SAE50.

It is generally considered that fractal-fractional order derivative operators are highly sophisticated mathematical tools that can be applied in a variety of physics and engineering situations to obtain real solutions. By using fractal-fractional derivatives, we can simultaneously investigate fractional order and fractal dimension. Due to extensive applications of fractal-fractional derivatives, in the present article fractal-fractional order model of non-linear Couple stress nanofluid has been analyzed. The homogenous mixture of base fluid and nanoparticles has been formed by the uniform dispersion of cadmium telluride nanoparticles in mineral transformer oil. Primarily, the classical mathematical model has been formulated via relative constitutive equations and then generalized by using fractal-fractional derivative operator. This model has been numerically solved using Crank-Nicolson technique. Using numerical solutions, various graphs are plotted to analyze how physical parameters alter Couple stress nanofluid rheology. As can be seen from the graphical study, couple stress slows down fluid velocity. Adding cadmium telluride nanoparticles to transformer oil increased its efficacy by 15.27%.

The utilize of microchannel in miniature thermal devices and microchannel heat sinks has advanced the scientific method of heat transfer to a new level, and the fields of electronic device cooling, aerospace industries, bioengineering, and materials science are all interested in furthering the technology's advancement. The microchannel has been numerically, practically, and analytically evaluated for the past three decades in order to develop models of hydraulic and heat efficiency during flowing fluid. Microchannel heat sink and novel fluids such as nanofluids are becoming well-liked. In order to recent time the full potential hybrid nanofluid in thermal exchanger has not yet been demoralized. In order to fulfill the lack of sufficient modeling data in this advanced research, the purpose of this analysis is to scrutinize computational thermal transportation features of alumina nitride (AIN)-alumina oxide (Al2O3) –Water hybrid nanofluid through electronic chip in six circular microchannel heat sinks. The simulation procedure is performed with volume fraction in range of 1% to 4%. The effects of coefficient of heat transfer, Nusselt number, Darcy friction factor, pressure drop and thermal resistance has been investigated. The single phase, laminar, incompressible and steady-state fluid flow has been numerically solved by the finite volume method with Computational Fluid Dynamic commercial software ANSYS FLUENT (R19.2) and SIMPLE algorithm.

The research effort in the microcombustor field has recently increased due to the demand for high-performance systems in microelectromechanical and micro power generation devices. To address rising concerns about pollutants from fossil sources, zero-carbon fuels such as hydrogen (H2) and ammonia (NH3) have been considered as an alternative in microcombustion processes. In a microcombustor, the surface area-to-volume ratio is much higher compared to conventional combustion systems, resulting in faster heat transfer rates and more intense combustion reactions. However, achieving efficient mixing of fuel and an oxidizer in a microcombustor can be challenging due to its small size, particularly for highly reactive fuels like H2. For NH3, challenges in microcombustion involve a low reactive, high ignition temperature (923 K vs. 793 K of H2) and high concentration of NOx combustion products. Therefore, studying the performance of these fuels in microcombustors is important for developing clean energy technologies. In this paper, to explore features of non-premixed NH3/air and H2/air combustion in micro-scale combustors, an Ansys Fluent numerical investigation was conducted on a Y-shaped microcombustor. Results show that for combustion with H2, stationary flames can be achieved even at lower equivalence ratios. Additionally, the pollutants generated from H2 in the flame are generally twice those of NH3. The overall efficiency of the microcombustor is two times greater for NH3 conditions than for H2 conditions.

This study introduces an innovative approach involving the injection of hydrogen into a low-swirl, non-premixed flame, which operates with gaseous fuels derived from an air-blast atomizer designed for aero-engine applications. The aim is to characterize how hydrogen enrichment influences flame structures while maintaining a constant thermal output of 4.6 kW. Using high-speed chemiluminescence imaging, three fueling conditions were compared: the first involved pure methane/air, while the second and third conditions introduced varying levels of hydrogen to an air–methane mixture. The results reveal significant effects of hydrogen enrichment on flame characteristics, including a slightly shorter length and a wider angle attributed to heightened expansion within the Combustion Recirculation Zone. Moreover, the emission of UV light underwent considerable changes, resulting in a shifted luminosity zone and reduced variance. To delve deeper into the underlying mechanisms, the researchers employed Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (POD) and Spectral Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (SPOD) analyses, showing coherent structures and energetic modes within the flames. Hydrogen enrichment led to the development of smaller structures near the nozzle exit, accompanied by longitudinal oscillations and vortex shedding phenomena. These findings contribute to an advanced understanding of hydrogen’s impact on flame characteristics, thereby propelling efforts toward improved flame stability. Additionally, these insights hold significance in the exploration of hydrogen as an alternative energy source with potential environmental benefits.

Abstract Objective Isolating high-quality RNA is a basic requirement while performing high throughput sequencing, microarray, and various other molecular investigations. However, it has been quite challenging to isolate RNA with absolute purity from plants like Crocus sativus that are rich in secondary metabolites, polysaccharides, and other interfering compounds which often irreversibly co-precipitate with the RNA. While many methods have been proposed for RNA extraction including CTAB, TriZol, and SDS-based methods, which invariably yield less and poor quality RNA and hence it necessitated the isolation of high-quality RNA suitable for high throughput applications. Results In the present study we made certain adjustments to the available protocols including modifications in the extraction buffer itself and the procedure employed. Our method led to the isolation of clear and non-dispersive total RNA with an RNA Integrity Number (RIN) value greater than 7.5. The quality of the RNA was further assessed by qPCR-based amplification of mRNA and mature miRNAs such as Cs-MIR166c and Cs-MIR396a.

Honey bee colony nutritional dynamics depend on the availability of floral resources throughout a countryside with varying forage circumstances. Few studies quantify the queen fecundity and colony performance about certain management approaches on a broad scale. The present study was conducted to investigate the queen bee fecundity and various colony performance parameters in response to different nutritional practices, i.e., Group-I, supplied with sucrose solution (1:1; w/v), Group-II, provided with locally available commercial pollen substitute, Group-III, supplied with both sucrose solution + locally available commercial pollen substitute, and Group-IV without any sugar solution and pollen substitute. Our results demonstrated that eggs laid by queen bees were significantly higher (1241.83 ± 46.24) in Group-III than in other groups over the time of observations. Similarly, a significant difference was noticed in the mean sealed worker brood area and honey store area between the different groups of management practices. Both, the max mean sealed worker brood area (2153.53 ± 29.18 cm2) and max mean honey store area (1713.33 ± 12.06 cm2) were observed in Group-III while, the mini mean sealed worker brood area (1066.53 ± 20.18 cm2) and mini mean honey store area (1058.86 ± 4.07 cm2) were observed in Group-IV. In contrast, a non-significant difference was observed in pollen stores between Group-II and Group-III (p > 0.005). Current findings add to our understanding of the mechanisms that underpin large-scale controlled colony performance when the natural pollens resources are insufficient.

Cucumber green mottle mosaic virus (CGMMV), a well-known Tobamovirus, infects cucurbits across the globe. To determine its current status, molecular characterization, genetic recombination, gene flow and selection pressure, 10 districts from Punjab province of Pakistan were surveyed and a total of 2561 cucurbits samples were collected during 2019–2020. These samples were subjected to virus-specific double antibody sandwich-enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (DAS-ELISA) for the detection of CGMMV. The results revealed that viral disease was prevalent in all surveyed districts of Punjab with an overall 25.69% disease incidence. ELISA positive samples were further confirmed through RT-PCR and sequencing of coat protein (CP) cistron. Sequence analysis showed that the present studied CGMMV isolates have 96–99.5% nucleotide and 94.40–99.50% amino acid identities with those already available in GenBank. Phylogenetic analysis also revealed that understudied isolates were closely related with South Korean (AB369274) and Japanese (V01551) isolates and clustered in a separate clad. Sequence polymorphisms were observed in 663 bp of sequence within 31 CGMMV isolates covering complete CP gene. Total number of sites were 662, of which 610 and 52 sites were monomorphic and polymorphic (segregating), respectively. Of these polymorphic, 24 were singleton variable and 28 were parsimony informative. Overall nucleotide diversity (π) in all the understudied 31 isolates was 0.00010 while a total of 1 InDel event was observed and InDel Diversity (k) was 0.065. Haplotype diversity analysis revealed that there was a total 29 haplotypes with haplotype diversity (Hd) of 0.993458 in all the 31 isolates which provide evidence of less diversity among Pakistani isolates. The statistical analysis revealed the values 2.568, 5.31304 and 4.86698 of Tajima's D, Fu, & Li’s F* and D*, respectively, which witnessed the population of CGMMV was under balanced selection pressure.

Heading and position control system of ships has remained a challenging control problem. It is a nonlinear multiple input multiple output system. Moreover, the dynamics of the system vary with operating as well as environmental conditions. Conventionally, simple Proportional Integral Derivative controller is used which has well known limitations. Other conventional control techniques have also been investigated but they require an accurate mathematical model of a ship. Unfortunately, accuracy of mathematical models is very difficult to achieve. During the past few decades computational intelligence techniques such as artificial neural networks have been very successful when an accurate mathematical model is not available. Therefore, in this paper, an artificial neural network controller is proposed for heading and position control system. For simulation purposes, a mathematical model with four effective thrusters have been chosen to test the performance of the proposed controller. The final closed loop system has been analysed and tested through simulation studies. The results are very encouraging.

Penetrating injuries, such as gunshot or stab wounds, may cause spinal cord injuries and require prehospital spinal immobilization (PHSI) to stabilize the spine. However, the use of PHSI in penetrating spinal injuries remains controversial. This systematic review aimed to investigate the efficacy of prehospital PHSI in patients with penetrating trauma. We systematically searched Google Scholar, Medline (PubMed), The Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), and EMBASE between January 2000 and July 2021. All studies in English that assessed PHSI in patients (>16 years) with penetrating spinal injuries were included. Quality and risk of bias assessments were performed using the modified Newcastle-Ottawa scale. A narrative synthesis and a meta-analysis was conducted. Our search identified 928 studies but only 6 met our inclusion and exclusion criteria. All of the included studies were conducted in the US and the number of patients ranged from 156–75,567 over 3–9 study years. The majority of patients were gunshot or stab wounds. Three studies demonstrated an increased risk of mortality with spinal collars whilst the remaining three studies failed to show any benefits or the benefits remained unproven. All studies were retrospective studies with some risks of bias. This review highlights that the evidence from the literature on PHSI in penetrating trauma outweigh its benefits; thus, its use is discouraged in penetrating spinal trauma. However, further high-quality research is necessary to reach definitive conclusions and to possibly identify suitable alternatives to PHSI for penetrating spinal trauma.

This study sought to explore high school students' interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) related disciplines and careers in the context of Qatar. Quantitative data was collected using a survey of 1492 high school students in grades 11–12. The normality tests (Shapiro-Wilk test and Kolmogorov Smirnov test) revealed the non-normal distribution of data, leading to employing non-parametric analyses, including Mann Whitney U test, Kruskal Wallis H, and logistic regression. Results indicated that whereas students' interest in mathematics and science subjects was aligned with their likelihood to pursue STEM careers, however, their interest in engineering and technology doesn't line up with their STEM career aspirations. The findings also revealed the variability of students' STEM interests across gender and nationality. In general, female students exhibited higher STEM interests than their male counterparts, while specially expatriates were more inclined toward STEM than Qatari nationals. Overall, these findings postulate the need to improve the exposure of males in general and Qatari nationals specifically to STEM fields of study, particularly the subjects of engineering and technology, to meet the goals of Qatar's National Vision 2030.

Silicon/perovskite tandem devices are believed to be a favorite contender for improving cell performance over the theoretical maximum value of single-junction photovoltaic (PV) cells. The present study evaluates the design and optimization of four-terminal (4-T) mechanically stacked and optically coupled configurations using SCAPS (solar cell capacitance simulator). Low-cost, stable, and easily processed semitransparent carbon electrode-based perovskite solar cells (c-PSCs) without hole transport material (HTM) and highly efficient crystalline silicon (c-Si) PV cells were utilized as top and bottom cells, respectively. The wide bandgap multi-cation perovskite Csx(FA0.4MA0.6)1−xPbI2.8Br0.2 and a low bandgap c-Si were employed as light-harvesting layers in the top and bottom cells, respectively. The impact of perovskite thickness and doping concentrations were examined and optimized for both tandem configurations. Under optimized conditions, thicknesses of 1000 nm and 1100 nm are the best values of the perovskite absorber layer for 4-T mechanically stacked and optically coupled arrangements, respectively. Likewise, 1 × 1017 cm−3 doping concentration of top cells revealed the highest performance in both structures. With these optimized parameters under tandem configurations, efficiency values of 28.38% and 29.34% were obtained in 4-T mechanically and optically coupled tandems, respectively. Results suggest that by optimizing perovskite thickness and doping concentration, the proposed designs using HTM-free c-PSCs could enhance device performance.

In this work, a new flexible class, called the type-I extended-F family, is proposed. A special sub-model of the proposed class, called type-I extended-Weibull (TIEx-W) distribution, is explored in detail. Basic properties of the TIEx-W distribution are provided. The parameters of the TIEx-W distribution are obtained by eight classical methods of estimation. The performance of these estimators is explored using Monte Carlo simulation results for small and large samples. Besides, the Bayesian estimation of the model parameters under different loss functions for the real data set is also provided. The importance and flexibility of the TIEx-W model are illustrated by analyzing an insurance data. The real-life insurance data illustrates that the TIEx-W distribution provides better fit as compared to competing models such as Lindley-Weibull, exponentiated Weibull, Kumaraswamy-Weibull, α logarithmic transformed Weibull, and beta Weibull distributions, among others.

In the recent era, the introduction of a new family of distributions has gotten great attention due to the curbs of the classical univariate distributions. This study introduces a novel family of distributions called a new type 1 alpha power family of distributions. Based on the novel family, a special model called a new type 1 alpha power Weibull model is studied in depth. The new model has very interesting patterns and it is very flexible. Thus, it can model the real data with the failure rate patterns of increasing, decreasing, parabola-down, and bathtub. Its applicability is studied by applying it to the health sector data, and time-to-recovery of breast cancer patients, and its performance is compared to seven well-known models. Based on the model comparison, it is the best model to fit the health-related data with no exceptional features. Furthermore, the popular models for the data with exceptional features such as correlation, overdispersion, and zero-inflation in aggregate are explored with applications to epileptic seizer data. Sometimes, these features are beyond the probability distribution models. Hence, this study has implemented eight possible models separately to these data and they are compared based on the standard techniques. Accordingly, the zero-inflated Poisson-normal-gamma model which includes the random effects in the linear predictor to handle the three features simultaneously has shown its supremacy over the others and is the best model to fit the health-related data with these features.

Decision-making practices in family business are crucial and usually involve several stakeholders. To determine the decision-making mechanism in the family business, qualitative research approach was carried out. 30 semi-structured interviews were conducted involving family owners and non-family managers. Thematic analysis was used to analyze data. Three themes such as Business sense, consultation with elders, and ceremonial approval of the board were generated. Study reveals that decision-making is informal and based on tacit knowledge. Study emphasizes the codification of tacit knowledge, the codification will make decision-making more formal and institutionalized.

Chemical kinetics is a branch of chemistry that is founded on understanding chemical reaction rates. Chemical kinetics relates many aspects of cosmology, geology, and even in some cases of, psychology. There is a need for mathematical modelling of these chemical reactions. Therefore, the present research is based on chemical kinetics-based modelling and dynamics of enzyme processes. This research looks at the two-step substrate-enzyme reversible response. In the two step-reversible reactions, substrate combines with enzymes which is further converted into products with two steps. The model is displayed through the flow chart, which is then transformed into ODEs. The Atangana-Baleanu time-fractional operator and the Mittag-Leffler kernel are used to convert the original set of highly nonlinear coupled integer order ordinary differential equations into a fractional-order model. Additionally, it is shown that the solution to the investigated fractional model is unique, limited, and may be represented by its response velocity. A numerical scheme, also known as the Atangana-Toufik method, based on Newton polynomial interpolation technique via MATLAB software, is adopted to find the graphical results. The dynamics of reaction against different reaction rates are presented through various figures. It is observed that the forward reaction rates increase the reaction speed while backward reaction rates reduce it.

Plasma parameters of magnetically confined Cobalt (Co) plasma have been evaluated by using laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy at various laser irradiances, under different ambient pressures of two environments such as Ar and Ne and at different time delays. The effect of laser irradiance on Co plasma is exposed in the presence and absence of a Transverse Magnetic field (TMF) while keeping environmental gas pressure constant, i.e., 10 Torr. For this purpose, Co pellets were exposed to Nd: YAG laser (1064 nm, 10 ns) at various laser irradiances ranging from 1 to 2.9 GW cm−2. To investigate the impact of background gas pressures, Co pellets were exposed to various pressure varying from 5 to 760 Torr of Ar and Ne. In the case of time delay variation, the Co plasma parameters Texc and ne decrease exponentially. A significantly pronounced effect of the presence of an external TMF of strength 0.9 T on time-integrated Co plasma parameters has been revealed. Plasma parameters Texc and ne are considerably increased in the presence of TMF in both ambient environments because of being constrained to a very small region due to which collisions will be enhanced. Implementation of the 0.9 T TMF on a laser-induced plasma of Co is responsible for the confinement of plasma. The surface morphology of laser-irradiated Co samples was also discussed to confirm the effect of TMF. Fine and uniform structures are observed in samples treated in the presence of TMF by using the SEM technique.

In recent years, the lattice Boltzmann equation has developed into a promising technique for computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The lattice Boltzmann model (LBM) approach is derived from the Boltzmann equation and kinetic theory, as opposed to the standard CFD methods that are based on direct discretization of the Navier–Stokes equations. In this paper, Newtonian flow passing through a wavy walled channel has been examined for laminar to turbulent transition by using the LBM. The simple LBM for this problem becomes unstable as the Reynolds number increases and the laminar to turbulent transition begins. When Ehrenfest’s limiters are introduced in the LBM, the simulation becomes stable for higher Reynolds numbers. Two types of channel geometries are studied here, the channel walls of relatively small amplitude and channel walls of large amplitude. Our findings are that for large amplitude channel walls, flow becomes unsteady for lower Reynolds numbers as compared to that for small amplitude channel walls. For large amplitude walls, the vortices formed exhibit periodic shedding inside the channel furrows and remain there. For small amplitude walls, the vortex shedding starts downstream of the channel. The present LBM variant is able to simulate small amplitude channel flow for a Reynolds number Re = 800 and large amplitude channel flow for a Reynolds number R = 570.

Background Postoperative adverse events (AEs) following pulmonary resection enormously impact patient well-being, length of stay (LOS) and healthcare costs. Standardised AE data collection can be used to identify positive outliers demonstrating positive deviance (PD) who may be helpful to inform the best practice. Here, we describe our initial experience of a novel quality improvement process using PD to reduce LOS and AEs.Methods AE rates and LOS were collected from four centres (2014–2020) using a common dictionary. Surgeons repeatedly participated in 60 to 90 min seminars consisting of the following process: identify outcome and procedure targeted, review relevant best evidence literature, view all data anonymised by surgeon or centre (if multicentre), choose and reveal identity of best performance PD outliers, who discuss their management principles while all receive self-evaluation reports, followed by collegial discussion to generate consensus recommendations, voted by all. We assessed overall impact on AEs and LOS using aggregate data in a before/after analysis.Results A total of 131 surgeons (average 12/seminar) participated in 11 PD seminars (8 local and 3 multicentre), yielding 85 consensus recommendation (average 8/seminar). Median LOS following lobectomy decreased from 4.0 to 3.0 days (p=0.04) following local PD seminars and from 4.0 to 3.5 days (p=0.11) following multicentre seminars. Trends for reductions in multiple AE rates were also observed.Conclusion While limited by the longitudinal design, these findings provide preliminary support for this data-driven, collegial and actionable quality improvement process to help standardise and improve patient care, and merits further more rigorous investigation.

Service robots are prevailing in many industries to assist humans in conducting repetitive tasks, which require a natural interaction called Human Robot Interaction (HRI). In particular, nonverbal HRI plays an important role in social interactions, which highlights the need to accurately detect the subject's attention by evaluating the programmed cues. In this paper, a conceptual attentiveness model algorithm called Attentive Recognition Model (ARM) is proposed to recognize a person’s attentiveness, which improves the accuracy of detection and subjective experience during nonverbal HRI using three combined detection models: face tracking, iris tracking and eye blinking. The face tracking model was trained using a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) neural network, which is based on deep learning. Meanwhile, the iris tracking and eye blinking use a mathematical model. The eye blinking model uses a random face landmark point to calculate the Eye Aspect Ratio (EAR), which is much more reliable compared to the prior method, which could detect a person blinking at a further distance even if the person was not blinking. The conducted experiments for face and iris tracking were able to detect direction up to 2 meters. Meanwhile, the tested eye blinking model gave an accuracy of 83.33% at up to 2 meters. The overall attentive accuracy of ARM was up to 85.7%. The experiments showed that the service robot was able to understand the programmed cues and hence perform certain tasks, such as approaching the interested person. ABSTRAK: Robot perkhidmatan lazim dalam banyak industri untuk membantu manusia menjalankan tugas berulang, yang memerlukan interaksi semula jadi yang dipanggil Interaksi Robot Manusia (HRI). Khususnya, HRI bukan lisan memainkan peranan penting dalam interaksi sosial, yang menonjolkan keperluan untuk mengesan perhatian subjek dengan tepat dengan menilai isyarat yang diprogramkan. Dalam makalah ini, algoritma model perhatian konseptual yang dipanggil Model Pengecaman Perhatian (ARM) dicadangkan untuk mengenali perhatian seseorang, yang meningkatkan ketepatan pengesanan dan pengalaman subjektif semasa HRI bukan lisan menggunakan tiga model pengesanan gabungan: pengesanan muka, pengesanan iris dan mata berkedip. . Model penjejakan muka telah dilatih menggunakan rangkaian saraf Memori Jangka Pendek Panjang (LSTM), yang berdasarkan pembelajaran mendalam. Manakala, pengesanan iris dan mata berkelip menggunakan model matematik. Model mata berkelip menggunakan titik mercu tanda muka rawak untuk mengira Nisbah Aspek Mata (EAR), yang jauh lebih dipercayai berbanding kaedah sebelumnya, yang boleh mengesan seseorang berkelip pada jarak yang lebih jauh walaupun orang itu tidak berkelip. Eksperimen yang dijalankan untuk pengesanan muka dan iris dapat mengesan arah sehingga 2 meter. Sementara itu, model berkelip mata yang diuji memberikan ketepatan 83.33% sehingga 2 meter. Ketepatan perhatian keseluruhan ARM adalah sehingga 85.7%. Eksperimen menunjukkan bahawa robot perkhidmatan dapat memahami isyarat yang diprogramkan dan seterusnya melaksanakan tugas tertentu, seperti mendekati orang yang berminat.

Garra tibanica is ray-finned freshwater fish belonging to the cyprinid. Previous studies have reported that this specie is a native fish species found in Saudi Arabia. However, this specie was never been assessed using molecular markers to find out its phylogenetic relationship with other species in the area. This study investigates the genetic diversity between of the Garra tibanica collected from Medina province, Saudi Arabia based on phylogenetic analysis using the cytochrome b gene. The phylogenetic tree constructed from the cytochrome b sequence indicates that Garra tibanica is more closely related to Garra sahilia and Garra sharq than Garra rufa, Garra gymnothorax, which may reflect the allopatric speciation of Garra according to their existence in nearby geographic regions. To our knowledge, this report is the first to describe the species of Garra in Saudi Arabia based on phylogenetic analysis using the cytochrome b gene.

The current Covid-19 pandemic has changed the entire world and bought so many unprecedented challenges to the scientific community. More than 5 million people died due to the SARS-COV-2 outbreak. For many thousands of years, ginseng, the traditional herb has been used for various infectious diseases by traditional healers. Ginseng showed promising antiviral effects by modulating both natural and acquired immunity. Ginseng might be used as a potential therapeutic agent to prevent SARS-CoV-2 infection along with the vaccine. In this current review, we offer an alternative approach for SARS-COV-2 prevention during this unprecedented pandemic.
