Abstract

We herein report a facile two‐pot method to prepare a series of the two‐dimensional Ni(OH)2 nanocrystals with varied surface structures via the in‐situ surface transformation derived from Nickel metal‐organic framework (Ni‐MOF) in KOH solution at room temperature. The Ni(OH)2 obtained at the KOH concentration of 0.25 M displayed superior performance among the samples in terms of activities and stability. Further investigation proves that the enhanced urea oxidation reaction (UOR) activities can be ascribed to the cooperation of the larger electrochemical surface area, a faster electronic transfer speed, and a lower transfer resistance on the surface. These findings provide a new route for the rational design and synthesis of advanced electrocatalysts with relatively lower energy consumption that aims to be large‐scale synthesized and utilized in clean energy conversion and applications. 176. Controlled Synthesis of Hierarchical Nanostructured Metal Ferrite Microspheres for Enhanced Electrocatalytic Oxygen Evolution Reaction.

Abstract

Ferrite MFe2O4 (M = Ni, Co, etc.) metal oxides have been the focus of intense research, studied as promising electrocatalysts due to their good catalytic activity and stability for oxygen evolution reaction (OER). Structure engineering is a significant solution to achieve a high catalytic performance; further, optimizing the structure and specific surface area (SSA) of metal ferrite (CoFe2O4 and NiFe2O4) is regarded as a good choice. Herein, we designed hierarchical porous nanostructured CoFe2O4 and NiFe2O4 microspheres with the assistance of sodium dodecyl sulfonate by solvothermal and annealing methods. We found that three-dimensional microspheres assembled by nanoparticles and porous nanosheets exhibit higher SSAs for NiFe2O4 (158.47 m2 g–1) and CoFe2O4 (144.52 m2 g–1). Their higher SSA is much higher than those of other CoFe2O4-based and NiFe2O4-based materials. The as-prepared metal ferrite microspheres exhibit excellent OER electrocatalytic activity with lower Tafel slopes (55.2 and 58.2 mV dec–1) and lower overpotentials (235 and 280 mV) at a constant current density of 10 mA cm–2 and long-term stability, which is better than that of NiFe2O4 and CoFe2O4 bulks. Abstract

The development of low-cost electrode materials with enhanced activity and favorable durability for hydrogen evolution reactions (HERs) is a great challenge. MoS2 is an effective electrocatalyst with a unique layered structure. In addition, aluminosilica shells can not only provide more hydroxyl groups but also improve the durability of the catalyst as a protective shell. Herein, we have designed a hard-template route to synthesize porous yolk–shell MoS2@void@Aluminosilica microspheres in a NaAlO2 solution. The alkaline solution can directly etch silica (SiO2) hard templates on the surface of MoS2 microspheres and form a porous aluminosilica outer shell. The electrocatalytic results confirm that the MoS2@void@Aluminosilica microspheres exhibit higher electrocatalytic activity for HERs with lower overpotential (104 mV at the current density of −10 mA cm−2) and greater stability than MoS2 microspheres. The superior electrocatalytic activity of MoS2@void@Aluminosilica microspheres is attributed to the unique structure of the yolk@void@shell geometric construction, the protection of the aluminosilica shell, and the greater number of active sites offered by their nanosheet subunits. Abstract

Metallic 1T-phase MoS2 (1T-MoS2) nanosheets with large interlayer spacing are considered to be a high-energy electrode material for use in supercapacitors; however, the electrochemical storage mechanism of 1T-MoS2 involves ion intercalation, resulting in energy storage being limited at high current densities and showing poor rate capability. Here, a 1T-MoS2/Ti3C2Tx heterostructure was assembled from metallic 1T-MoS2 nanosheets coupled with a Ti3C2 MXene through one-pot hydrothermal synthesis, and the electrochemical storage mechanisms were investigated. The electrochemical advantages of 1T-MoS2 and Ti3C2Tx can be united via synergistic interplay in the heterostructure. The high specific capacitance is attributed to the metallic properties and the large interlayer spacing of the 1T-MoS2 component. More importantly, ultra-high rate capability is realized due to fast electron and ion transport originating from Ti3C2Tx. In addition, an all-solid-state flexible asymmetric aqueous supercapacitor (FASC) constructed with 1T-MoS2/Ti3C2Tx as the negative electrode and δ-MnO2 as the positive electrode shows a wide potential window of 1.8 V and a high areal energy density of 68.8 μW h cm−2 at 4500 μW cm−2. This work will provide a reference for studying electrochemical storage mechanisms in heterostructures, and it demonstrates the promise of the 1T-MoS2/MXene heterostructure for supercapacitor use. Abstract

This article presents the inverse displacement analysis of a hyper-redundant bionic trunk-like robot. The hyper-redundant bionic trunk-like robot is constituted of some parallel mechanism modules in series. The mathematical model of the inverse displacement analysis of the hyper-redundant robot comprises a set of nonlinear consistent equations with a number of unknown variables that are more than given equations. It is impossible to find all solutions for the inverse displacement analysis since there are infinite solution possibilities. By planning the pose of distal moving platforms for robot modules, the problem of the inverse displacement analysis of the hyper-redundant robot is transformed into that of a parallel mechanism. The inverse velocity and acceleration computation are then implemented using a method of the numerical differentiation. A developed prototype of a hyper-redundant bionic trunk-like robot is presented. The approach can be applied to the hyper-redundant robot with man–machine interactive system in the unstructured environment.
