Abstract

The power conversion efficiency of thin film solar cells using organic–inorganic hybrid lead halide perovskite as an absorber has achieved over 25%. An augment of the output voltage can further increase the efficiency approaching the Shockley–Queisser efficiency limitation, which is highly correlated with charge carrier management at interfaces in perovskite devices. This perspective presents some considerations to improve carrier transfer and reduce recombination loss for highly efficient perovskite solar cells, including primary requests on charge carrier transfer dynamics, reasonable design methodologies of interfacial materials, and tuning interface interaction between perovskite and charge transport layers. Abstract

Background: Establishing R, S-enantiomer (S-KT and R-KT) chiral resolution and determination methods for KT are of great significance. Objective: This study aimed to establish a high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method for the resolution and determination of ketorolac tromethamine (KT) enantiomers. Methods: A CHIRALPAK AGP column (0.4 × 10 cm, 5 μm) was used with 10 mmol/L ammonium acetate (pH 5.5) and isopropanol (97:3) as the mobile phase. The detection wavelength was 324 nm, the flow rate was 1.0 mL/min, the column temperature was 25°C, and the injection volume was 5 μL. Results: The resolution between S-KT and R-KT was 2.8. S-KT and R-KT demonstrated a good linear relationship in the range of 3-60 μg/mL (r > 0.999). The average recoveries of S-KT and RKT were 99.2% and 99.8%, with relative standard deviations of 2.0% and 2.4%, respectively. Conclusion: The established method can be used for the resolution and determination of S-KT and R-KT.

Abstract

Metal-halide perovskite solar cells (PSCs) exhibit outstanding power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) when fabricated as mm-sized devices, but creation of high-performing large-area modules that are stable on a sufficiently long timescale still presents a significant challenge. Herein, the quality of large-area perovskite film is improved by using ionic liquid additives via forming a new Pb-N bonding between the ionic liquid and Pb2+. This new bond can be modulated by a critical screening of the anion structure of the ionic liquid. The selected ionic liquid effectively reduces the defects of the perovskite films and markedly elongate their carrier lifetimes. As a result, a champion PCE of 24.4% for small-area (0.148 cm2) devices and 20.4% for larger-area (10.0 cm2) modules under AM 1.5G irradiation is achieved. More importantly, the modified devices retain 90% of their peak PCE after aging for 1900 h at 65 ± 5 °C (ISOS-T-1) and 80% after continuous light soaking for 750 h. The non-encapsulated modules maintained 80% of their peak PCE after 1100 h of aging in the air with a relative humidity of 35 ± 5% and temperature of 25 ± 5 °C under dark (ISOS-D-1), showing great potential for future commercialization.

199. Fast and Faultless?:Quantity and Quality Feedback in Order Picking

Abstract

Many operations are characterized by a trade-off between speed and quality. This calls for an exploration of effective strategies to balance the two metrics. This study investigates the separate and joint effect of quantity and quality feedback on both performance metrics in order picking. We collected data from two real-effort experiments with in total 212 participants, who conducted an order picking task in an experimental warehouse. The results of the main experiment show that giving only quantity feedback improves productivity performance, without compromising on quality. No significant effects of quality feedback were identified. Furthermore, combining quantity and quality feedback does not create a synergistic or a weakening effect on both performance dimensions. The second experiment was used as a robustness check in a different setting, and its results show that quantity feedback not only positively impacts productivity, but can also improve quality. We further decompose the aggregate productivity improvement into the separate impact on pickers who perceive different relative positions. We find that the top-ranked and middle-ranked workers in their group accelerate less relative to themselves than the bottom-ranked workers do, and the acceleration gap between the top-ranked and the bottom-ranked pickers is smaller when quantity feedback is present. Our findings show that managers can achieve both fast and faultless performance by carefully designing the performance feedback to their employees.

200. Transcriptional differential expression analysis between BnMAPKl-overex-pression and Zhongyou 821 rapeseed (Brassica napus L.).

Abstract

Rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) is an important oilseed crop in China, with high yield and nutritional value. Exploring the mechanism of the broad-spectrum stress regulatory genes plays key roles for improving stress resistance, yield, and quality in rapeseed. Mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) cascades are the junctions of several transmembrane signaling, and are involved in a wide variety of biological processes, including growth, development, biotic, and abiotic stress responses. In order to survey the biological function of BnMAPKl gene in rapeseed, BnMAPKl -overexpression (OE) and Zhongyou 821 (CK) plants were used as the experimental materials to perform the digital gene expression profiling sequencing at one-month-old seedling stage. Compared with CK, a total of 650 differentially expressed genes were obtained in OE plants, including 243 up-regulated genes and 407 down-regulated genes. GO annotation showed that differentially expressed genes were mainly enriched in 118 pathways in biological process, among which 18 pathways related to photosynthesis (with 77 differentially expressed genes). There were seven pathways in molecular function such as oxalate oxidase activity, manganese ion binding, and oxidoreductase activity; and 38 pathways in cellular component such as chloroplast, plastid, and thylakoid. KEGG indicated that BnMAPKl was involved in regulating 14 pathways in rapeseed, including photosynthesis, carbon metabolism, and biosynthesis of secondary metabolites. In addition, the relative expression levels of eight candidate genes were validated by qRT-PCR in OE and CK in rape-seed, demonstrating that the expression changes of these eight genes were generally consistent with the sequencing data. Our findings lay a foundation for the function of BnMAPKl in growth and development and light response in rapeseed and provide a theoretical basis for genetic breeding of crop resistance.
