Let $p\in[1,\infty]$, $q\in[1,\infty)$, $s\in\mathbb{Z}_+:=\mathbb{N}\cup\{0\}$, and $\alpha\in\mathbb{R}$. In this article, the authors first find a reasonable version $\widetilde{I}_{\beta}$ of the (generalized) fractional integral $I_{\beta}$ on the special John--Nirenberg--Campanato space via congruent cubes, $JN_{(p,q,s)_\alpha}^{\mathrm{con}}(\mathbb{R}^n)$, which coincides with the Campanato space $\mathcal{C}_{\alpha,q,s}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ when $p=\infty$. To this end, the authors introduce the vanishing moments up to order $s$ of $I_{\beta}$. Then the authors prove that $\widetilde{I}_{\beta}$ is bounded from $JN_{(p,q,s)_\alpha}^{\mathrm{con}}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ to $JN_{(p,q,s)_{\alpha+\beta/n}}^{\mathrm{con}}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ if and only if $I_{\beta}$ has the vanishing moments up to order $s$. The obtained result is new even when $p=\infty$ and $s\in\mathbb{N}$. Moreover, the authors show that $I_{\beta}$ can be extended to a unique continuous linear operator from the Hardy-kind space $HK_{(p,q,s)_{\alpha+\beta/n}}^{\mathrm{con}}(\mathbb{R}^n)$, the predual of $JN_{(p',q',s)_{\alpha+\beta/n}}^{\mathrm{con}}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ with $\frac{1}{p}+\frac{1}{p'}=1=\frac{1}{q}+\frac{1}{q'}$, to $HK_{(p,q,s)_{\alpha}}^{\mathrm{con}}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ if and only if $I_{\beta}$ has the vanishing moments up to order $s$. Let $X$ be a ball quasi-Banach function space on ${\mathbb R}^n$ and assume that the Hardy--Littlewood maximal operator satisfies the Fefferman--Stein vector-valued maximal inequality on $X$, and let $q\in[1,\infty)$ and $d\in(0,\infty)$. In this article, the authors prove that, for any $f\in \mathcal{L}_{X,q,0,d}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ (the ball Campanato-type function space associated with $X$), the Littlewood--Paley $g$-function $g(f)$ is either infinite everywhere or finite almost everywhere and, in the latter case, $g(f)$ is bounded on $\mathcal{L}_{X,q,0,d}(\mathbb{R}^n)$. Similar results for both the Lusin-area function and the Littlewood--Paley $g_\lambda^*$-function are also obtained. All these results have a wide range of applications. Particularly, even when $X$ is the weighted Lebesgue space, or the mixed-norm Lebesgue space, or the variable Lebesgue space, or the Orlicz space, or the Orlicz-slice space, all these results are new. The proofs of all these results strongly depend on several delicate estimates of Littlewood--Paley operators on the mean oscillation of the locally integrable function $f$ on $\mathbb{R}^n$. In this article, the authors give a survey on the recent developments of both the John--Nirenberg space $JN_p$ and the space BMO as well as their vanishing subspaces such as VMO, XMO, CMO, $VJN_p$, and $CJN_p$ on $\mathbb{R}^n$ or a given cube $Q_0\subset\mathbb{R}^n$ with finite side length. Strange quark matter, which is composed of u, d, and s quarks, could be the true ground of matter. According to this hypothesis, compact stars may actually be strange quark stars, and there may even be stable strange quark dwarfs and strange quark planets. The detection of the binary neutron star merger event GW170817 provides us new clues on the equation of state of compact stars. In this study, the tidal deformability of strange quark planets and strange quark dwarfs are calculated. It is found that the tidal deformability of strange quark objects is smaller than that of normal matter counterparts. For a typical 0.6 M$_\odot$ compact star, the tidal deformability of a strange dwarf is about 1.4 times less than that of a normal white dwarf. The difference is even more significant between strange quark planets and normal matter planets. Additionally, if the strange quark planet is a bare one (i.e., not covered by a normal matter curst), the tidal deformability will be extremely small, which means bare strange quark planets will hardly be distorted by tidal forces. Our study clearly proves the effectiveness of identifying strange quark objects via searching for strange quark planets through gravitational-wave observations., Comment: 10 pages, 5 figures. In this article, the authors establish the wavelet characterization of Besov and Triebel--Lizorkin spaces on a given space $(X,d,\mu)$ of homogeneous type in the sense of Coifman and Weiss. Moreover, the authors introduce almost diagonal operators on Besov and Triebel--Lizorkin sequence spaces on $X$, and obtain their boundedness. Using this wavelet characterization and this boundedness of almost diagonal operators, the authors obtain the molecular characterization of Besov and Triebel--Lizorkin spaces. Applying this molecular characterization, the authors further establish the Littlewood--Paley characterizations of Triebel--Lizorkin spaces on $X$. In this article, the authors introduce the spaces of Lipschitz type on spaces of homogeneous type in the sense of Coifman and Weiss, and discuss their relations with Besov and Triebel-Lizorkin spaces. As an application, the authors establish the difference characterization of Besov and Triebel-Lizorkin spaces on spaces of homogeneous type. A major novelty of this article is that all results presented in this article get rid of the dependence on the reverse doubling assumption of the considered measure of the underlying space ${\mathcal X}$ via using the geometrical property of ${\mathcal X}$ expressed by its dyadic reference points, dyadic cubes, and the (local) lower bound. Let $X$ be a ball Banach function space on ${\mathbb R}^n$. Let $\Omega$ be a Lipschitz function on the unit sphere of ${\mathbb R}^n$,which is homogeneous of degree zero and has mean value zero, and let $T_\Omega$ be the convolutional singular integral operator with kernel $\Omega(\cdot)/|\cdot|^n$. In this article, under the assumption that the Hardy--Littlewood maximal operator $\mathcal{M}$ is bounded on both $X$ and its associated space, the authors prove that the commutator $[b,T_\Omega]$ is compact on $X$ if and only if $b\in{\rm CMO}({\mathbb R}^n)$. To achieve this, the authors mainly employ three key tools: some elaborate estimates, given in this article, on the norm in $X$ of the commutators and the characteristic functions of some measurable subset,which are implied by the assumed boundedness of ${\mathcal M}$ on $X$ and its associated space as well as the geometry of $\mathbb R^n$; the complete John--Nirenberg inequality in $X$ obtained by Y. Sawano et al.; the generalized Fr\'{e}chet--Kolmogorov theorem on $X$ also established in this article. All these results have a wide range of applications. Recently, both the bilinear decompositions $h^1(\mathbb{R}^n)\times \mathrm{\,bmo}(\mathbb{R}^n) \subset L^1 (\mathbb{R}^n)+h_\ast^\Phi(\mathbb{R}^n)$ and $h^1(\mathbb{R}^n) \times \mathrm{bmo}(\mathbb{R}^n) \subset L^1 (\mathbb{R}^n) + h^{\log}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ were established. In this article, the authors prove in some sense that the former is sharp, while the latter is not. To this end, the authors first introduce the local Orlicz-slice Hardy space which contains the variant $h_\ast^\Phi(\mathbb{R}^n)$ of the local Orlicz Hardy space introduced by A. Bonami and J. Feuto as a special case, and obtain its dual space by establishing its characterizations via atoms, finite atoms and various maximal functions, which are new even for $h_\ast^{\Phi}(\mathbb R^n)$. Let $p\in(0,1)$, $\alpha:=1/p-1$ and, for any $\tau\in [0,\infty)$, $\Phi_{p}(\tau):=\tau/(1+\tau^{1-p})$. Let $H^p(\mathbb R^n)$, $h^p(\mathbb R^n)$ and $\Lambda_{n\alpha}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ be, respectively, the Hardy space, the local Hardy space and the inhomogeneous Lipschitz space on $\mathbb{R}^n$. In this article, applying the inhomogeneous renormalization of wavelets, the authors establish a bilinear decomposition for multiplications of elements in $h^p(\mathbb R^n)$ [or $H^p(\mathbb R^n)$] and $\Lambda_{n\alpha}(\mathbb{R}^n)$, and prove that these bilinear decompositions are sharp in some sense. As applications, the authors also obtain some estimates of the product of elements in the local Hardy space $h^p(\mathbb R^n)$ with $p\in(0,1]$ and its dual space, respectively, with zero $\lfloor n\alpha\rfloor$-inhomogeneous curl and zero divergence, where $\lfloor n\alpha\rfloor$ denotes the largest integer not greater than $n\alpha$. Moreover, the authors find new structures of $h^{\Phi_p}(\mathbb R^n)$ and $H^{\Phi_p}(\mathbb R^n)$ by showing that $h^{\Phi_p}(\mathbb R^n)=h^1(\mathbb R^n)+h^p(\mathbb R^n)$ and $H^{\Phi_p}(\mathbb R^n)=H^1(\mathbb R^n)+H^p(\mathbb R^n)$ with equivalent quasi-norms, and also prove that the dual spaces of both $h^{\Phi_p}(\mathbb R^n)$ and $h^p(\mathbb R^n)$ coincide. These results give a complete picture on the multiplication between the local Hardy space and its dual space.

Emerging infectious diseases are existential threats to human health and global stability. The recent outbreaks of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 have rapidly formed a global pandemic, causing hundreds of thousands of infections and huge economic loss. The WHO declares that more precise measures to track, detect and isolate infected people are among the most effective means to quickly contain the outbreak. Based on trajectory provided by the big data and the mean field theory, we establish an aggregated risk mean field that contains information of all risk-spreading particles by proposing a spatio-temporal model named HiRES risk map. It has dynamic fine spatial resolution and high computation efficiency enabling fast update. We then propose an objective individual epidemic risk scoring model named HiRES-p based on HiRES risk maps, and use it to develop statistical inference and machine learning methods for detecting suspected epidemic-infected individuals. We conduct numerical experiments by applying the proposed methods to study the early outbreak of COVID-19 in China. Results show that the HiRES risk map has strong ability in capturing global trend and local variability of the epidemic risk, thus can be applied to monitor epidemic risk at country, province, city and community levels, as well as at specific high-risk locations such as hospital and station. HiRES-p score seems to be an effective measurement of personal epidemic risk. The accuracy of both detecting methods are above 90\% when the population infection rate is under 20\%, which indicates great application potential in epidemic risk prevention and control practice.

Let $n\ge2$ and $\Omega$ be a bounded Lipschitz domain in $\mathbb{R}^n$. In this article, the authors investigate global (weighted) estimates for the gradient of solutions to Robin boundary value problems of second order elliptic equations of divergence form with real-valued, bounded, measurable coefficients in $\Omega$. More precisely, let $p\in(n/(n-1),\infty)$. Using a real-variable argument, the authors obtain two necessary and sufficient conditions for $W^{1,p}$ estimates of solutions to Robin boundary value problems, respectively, in terms of a weak reverse H\"older inequality with exponent $p$ or weighted $W^{1,q}$ estimates of solutions with $q\in(n/(n-1),p]$ and some Muckenhoupt weights. As applications, the authors establish some global regularity estimates for solutions to Robin boundary value problems of second order elliptic equations of divergence form with small $\mathrm{BMO}$ coefficients, respectively, on bounded Lipschitz domains, $C^1$ domains or (semi-)convex domains, in the scale of weighted Lebesgue spaces, via some quite subtle approach which is different from the existing ones and, even when $n=3$ in case of bounded $C^1$ domains, also gives an alternative correct proof of some know result. This paper presents a 4-channel beamforming TX implemented in 65nm CMOS. Each beamforming TX is comprised of a C-2C split-array multiphase switched-capacitor power amplifier (SAMP-SCPA). This is the first use of multiphase interpolation (MPI) for beam-steering. This technique is ideal for low-frequency beamforming and MIMO, as it does not require passive or LO based phase shifters. The SCPA is ideal to use as the core element since it can perform frequency translation, data conversion and drive an output at high power and efficiency in a compact die area. A prototype 4-element beamforming TX, occupying 2 mm X 2.5 mm, can achieve peak output power of 24.4 dBm with a peak system efficiency (SE) of 24%, while achieving < 1{\deg} phase resolution and <1 dB gain error. When transmitting a 15 MHz, 64 QAM long-term evolution (LTE) signal it outputs 18.4 dBm at 14% SE with a measured adjacent channel leakage ratio (ACLR) < -30 dBc and error vector magnitude (EVM) of 3.27 %-rms at 1.75 GHz.
