To the present day, many links in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis remain unclear, which leads to unsatisfactory results in its therapy.The aim. To study the cells involved in immune reactions and tryptophan metabolites in the joint capsule in rheumatoid arthritis.Materials and methods. The experiments were carried out on 40 Wistar rats. Rheumatoid arthritis was induced by intraperitoneal injection of a solution of type 2 collagen (Chondrex Inc., USA) in incomplete Freund’s adjuvant. On the days 7, 14 and 21, the content of tryptophan, kynurenine, 3-hydrokenurinine, L-5-hydrotryptophan in the joint capsule was determined using high-performance liquid chromatography. Cells with CD3, CD20 and CD68 in joint tissues were studied at the same time using the streptavidin-biotin-peroxidase method. We used enzyme-linked immunosorbent method to determine antibodies to citrulline-containing peptide. Statistical analysis was performed using the Jamovi, version 2.3 software.Results. The content of cells carrying CD3, CD20 and CD68 markers in the joint was high in experimental rheumatoid arthritis. In joint tissues, the content of tryptophan metabolites along the kynurenine pathway also increases and the concentration of metabolites along the serotonin pathway decreases. Direct positive correlations of cells carrying CD3, CD20 and CD68 differential clusters with the content of tryptophan metabolites along the kynurenine pathway and negative correlations with metabolites of the serotonin pathway were established.Conclusions. Cells carrying CD3, CD20 and CD68 markers and tryptophan metabolites – kynurenine and L-5-hydrotryptophan – play an important role in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis.

The purpose of the research is to study the effects of ivermectin-containing drug in recommended and increased doses on adult dogs and cats.Materials and methods. The drug tolerance on dogs and cats was studied on 24 clinically healthy animals that were divided into experimental groups of 6 animals each, according to the principle of analogs, at the Podolsk Experimental Production Base of the VNIIP – FSC VIEV. The drug was administered seven times with a 3-day interval at a therapeutic dose of 0.2 mg of ivermectin per 1 kg of body weight to the first experimental group; and 0.6 mg of ivermectin per 1 kg of body weight to the second experimental group. The overall health status of the dogs and the cats was monitored daily, and blood samples were taken on days 20 and 34 of the experiment to study some morphological and biochemical parameters. Statistical data was processed in Microsoft Excel 2016 using the paired Student's t-test for dependent samples.Results and discussion. The studied ivermectin-containing drug had no negative effects on the adult dogs and cats’ overall health status, physiological status and behavior, or morphological and biochemical blood parameters. When using the drug in a threefold increased dose, three dogs and one cat showed depression which spontaneously disappeared within 48 hours. In addition, the animals from the second experimental group developed an allergic reaction, decreased functional activity of the liver and kidneys, and metabolic processes intensity, and red blood system destabilization. On day 34 of the experiment, the above changes were absent in the dogs and the cats, which indicates the restored physiological and biochemical status in the experimental animals.

In the basis of a special area of genre PRology as a branch of the science of public relations the authors put the criterion of the diversity of PR-information in multi-channel public communication via new media. As a subject of genre PRology, the authors consider convergence of information formats of a PR text in a multi-channel PR. In the genre revision of PR communication in social media, the genre transformations of PR texts are influenced by the following factors: 1) technological, 2) intentional, 3) structural. Technologically, PR texts functioning in the space of social networks are characterized by 1) a polycode structure, which implies the equivalence of verbal and non-verbal levels of meaning; 2) the transgressive nature of the publication, which determines the animation of the message and its transgression (movement) in the digital space. PR texts are multi-intentional in nature. Structurally, PR texts in social networks undergo three types of convergence: 1) structural or presentational, 2) discursive, and 3) genre. Structural, or presentational, convergence of PR texts in social media is associated with the allocation in the post structure of the presentation (the actual text and iconic materials) and the reaction (readers’ comments). Discourse convergence of PR-text is associated with 1) diffusion of institutional and intentional types of discourse, 2) inter-institutional discursive interaction (PR and advertising). Genre convergence of PR-texts is a genre symbiosis of three types – convergence of primary and secondary speech genres, convergence of primary simple genres of PR-text, and intermedial convergence.

Introduction Premature arrest of bone growth is the most common complication of bone fractures at the growth plate level. The purpose of the work was to evaluate the structural reorganization of metaepiphyseal cartilage following its direct injury with metal and biodegradable wires in an experiment. Materials and methods The metaepiphyseal cartilage of the distal femur of 18 lambs of both sexes was studied. The age of the animals at the beginning of the study was (43.92 ± 0.8) days, by 60 and 120 days (102.63 ± 0.82) and (161.1 ± 0.9) days, respectively. The animals underwent transphyseal insertion of wires/ pins: series 1 — Kirschner wires, series 2 — titanium wires, series 3 — poly-L-lactic acid pins. The duration of the experiment was 60 and 120 days. Clinical and radiographic studies were carried out. Histomorphometry was performed using an AxioScope.A1 microscope and Zenblue software (CarlZeissMicroImagingGmbH, Germany). Results Reactive changes in the growth plate at the interface with the wire were manifested by proliferation of chondrocytes in the zone of proliferating cartilage and in the reserve zone; the minimally expressed changes were noted in series 2, the most pronounced were in series 1. By the end of the experiment, at the interface with the wire in series 1, blood vessels penetrated into the metaepiphyseal cartilage; in series 3 the amount of the fibrous component was increased, which indicates further formation of “bone bridges” and “fibrous bridges,” respectively. In undamaged areas of the growth plate in all series, the zonal structure was preserved. By the end of the experiment, increased values of the thickness of the metaepiphyseal cartilage were noted (1.2 times higher than the control), differences between series were a tendency; in series 2 and 3 the ratio of metaepiphyseal cartilage zones was comparable to the control; in series 1 the proportion of the proliferating cartilage zone was increased by 4 %. Discussion The main problem with growth plate injuries is the formation of bone tissue or fibrosis, which affects the growing process. Currently, the question of choosing a treatment tactic for growth plate injury depending on the size of the “bone bridges” is debatable. Relevant are future comparative studies of the regeneration of metaepiphyseal cartilage defects after the use of fixators made from different materials. Conclusion Histomorphometric characteristics of the growth zone reliably showed that the insertion of wires, regardless of their material, was not accompanied by inhibition of the bone-forming function of the distal metaepiphyseal cartilage of the femur.

The welded joint zone (WJ) No. 111 is a welding unit for the "hot" collector of the primary coolant to the DN1200 steam generator nozzle. The experience of operation of steam generators PGV-1000M of NPP power units with VVER-1000 shows that the WJ zone No. 111 is prone to the formation and development of operational defects. According to the results of periodic non-destructive testing of the WJ No. 111 zone performed at the PG of various power units of the VVER-1000 NPP, cases of detection of extended planar-type discontinuities, including through ones, were repeatedly recorded. Thus, this zone is one of the most critical zones of the reactor plant (RU) with VVER -1000. The root cause of the formation and development of operational defects has not yet been identified. Solving the problem of cracking of WJ No. 111 steam generators of nuclear power plants with VVER-1000 is one of the priority areas for improving the safety of operation of the power unit during the over-design service life. This problem is determined by a complex combination of temperature conditions, mechanical and corrosive effects, is relevant and has not yet been definitively solved. Therefore, it is very important to ensure the collection of reliable data on the actual stress-strain state of the WJ No. 111 zone in various operating modes (pressure loading of steam generators, heating/cooling of the power unit, hydraulic testing of the 1st and 2nd circuits). The article reveals the approaches and stages of creating and applying a strain gauge installation to ensure metrological suitability in the conditions of a campaign fuel company at an NPP power unit by using an adequate physical model to obtain additive and multiplicative correction coefficients.

Introduction. Bridges are important critical infrastructure facilities; they play a key role in economic development and ensure the security of regions and the state as a whole. During the period of martial law, bridges became an important element of the country's defense capability, as well as routes for humanitarian evacuation and export logistics. To make effective management decisions at the level of the State Agency for the Restoration and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine in the field of bridge management, the Analytical Expert Bridge Management System (AESUM) software package is being implemented. Problem statement. In connection with the introduction of martial law in Ukraine, ensuring the proper functioning of the bridge sector has become of great social importance, since the availability of sustainable transport links allows to ensure the vital activity of the population and the functioning of the state under martial law. It is also important to improve the strategy of operation of transport facilities, taking into account the scientific and analytical apparatus of the AESUM software package. Objective. Implementation of an effective strategy for the operation of bridges on highways in order to plan financial resources for their repair and maintenance. Providing the general public with up-to-date statistical information on bridges from AESUM will be useful for scientific and practical purposes, and identifying certain analytical trends will allow to improve AESUM in terms of forming a strategy for the operation of transport facilities.

Due to a lack of preparation, teachers were not emotionally or cognitively prepared to use new approaches. Teachers discovered that while teaching online, elementary school teachers face various challenges. Summarizing and categorizing the difficulties encountered by primary school teachers in compulsory distance education will add to the literature, ensuring the dissemination of online instruction technological tools at both the distance education and primary education levels. The study sought to categorize the difficulties encountered by primary teachers. In order to figure out the purpose of the study, the study data including primary teachers in the COVID-19 period was synthesized. The study was accepted as a meta-synthesis. The education database ERIC was searched using the keywords "Primary Teacher", "Distance Education", and "Online Education"; and 79 studies were located as a result of the search. After eliminating ineligible studies, 23 of the 79 collected studies remained. As a result, students, parents, infrastructure, and teachers are all affected by the challenges. Cutting-edge technologies and a strong internet infrastructure are required for online education. Teachers are unable to maintain the minimum level of compulsory distance education due to limited internet connection and a lack of technological resources in many places. As a result of the strain, teachers felt inadequate. In many classrooms in poor countries, there is a lack of access to professional expertise and help for the use and integration of ICTs. COVID-19 has made this an issue for almost all schools, not just those in underdeveloped countries. The importance of online learning for elementary children and teachers has gotten considerably less attention. Teachers can take pedagogical diversity professional development training online and experience it as if they were students. The practical advantage of identifying the difficulties that teachers have faced is to aid teachers in overcoming such obstacles and to give the appropriate assistance. Successful distance education can only be achieved when teachers are supported in all areas of difficulty.

This study addresses the gap in understanding the lexico-grammatical-structural types of nouns, particularly how lexico-semantic variants gain new connotations during transposition. Drawing upon Babaytseva’s theory of transitivity phenomena and building on Mel’chuk’s text semantic theory, we identify the schemes and mechanisms of transposition relations concerning the lexical and grammatical categories of modern Russian nouns, by analyzing transposition phenomena and their semantic mechanisms in 660 Russian nouns with indefinite denotation and lexical and grammatical status. The research details all possible immigration transpositions of the lexical and grammatical categories of nouns at the minimal context level and their mechanisms. Findings reveal that approximately 27% of the examined nouns carry connotative meanings, encompassing functional-stylistic, cultural-ethnic, and emotional-evaluative facets. Additionally, the transposition of nouns can occur within or between categories. The principal mechanisms of transposition at the syntagmatic level include metaphors and metonymy. Transpositions at the lexical and semantic categories of nouns coincide with several phenomena: changes in the numerical paradigm, phraseologization, connotation, and the unveiling of the noun’s stylistic potential.

IntroductionNon-invasive cuffless blood pressure devices have shown promising results in accurately estimating blood pressure when comparing measurements at rest. However, none of commercially available or prototype cuffless devices have yet been validated according to the appropriate standards. The aim of the present study was to bridge this gap and evaluate the ability of a prototype cuffless device, developed by Aidee Health AS, to track changes in blood pressure compared to a non-invasive, continuous blood pressure monitor (Human NIBP or Nexfin) in a laboratory set up. The performance was evaluated according to the metrics and statistical methodology described in the ISO 81060-3:2022 standard. However, the present study is not a validation study and thus the study was not conducted according to the ISO 81060-3:2022 protocol, e.g., non-invasive reference and distribution of age not fulfilled.MethodData were sampled continuously, beat-to-beat, from both the cuffless and the reference device. The cuffless device was calibrated once using the reference BP measurement. Three different techniques (isometric exercise, mental stress, and cold pressor test) were used to induce blood pressure changes in 38 healthy adults.ResultsThe mean difference (standard deviation) was 0.3 (8.7) mmHg for systolic blood pressure, 0.04 (6.6) mmHg for diastolic blood pressure, and 0.8 (7.9) mmHg for mean arterial pressure, meeting the Accuracy requirement of ISO 81060-3:2022 (≤6.0 (10.0) mmHg). The corresponding results for the Stability criteria were 1.9 (9.2) mmHg, 2.9 (8.1) mmHg and 2.5 (9.5) mmHg. The acceptance criteria for the Change requirement were achieved for the 85th percentile of ≤50% error for diastolic blood pressure and mean arterial pressure but were higher than the limit for systolic blood pressure (56% vs. ≤50%) and for all parameters for the 50th percentile (32%–39% vs. ≤25%).ConclusionsThe present study demonstrated that the cuffless device could track blood pressure changes in healthy adults across different activities and showed promising results in achieving the acceptance criteria from ISO 81060-3:2022.

Summary: Background: India has the highest incidence worldwide of smokeless tobacco (SLT)-associated oral cancer, accounting for nearly 70% of all SLT users globally. Nicotine and tobacco-specific N-nitrosamines (TSNA) play critical roles in the addictive and carcinogenic potential, respectively, of SLT products. Our group has previously reported substantial variability in nicotine and TSNA levels across a small SLT product sample in India, calling for systematic surveillance. However, there is no information available on the current levels of these constituents in Indian SLT. Methods: We analysed 321 samples representing 57 brands of eight popular types of manufactured SLT products purchased from five local markets in Mumbai, India between August, and September 2019. The sampling locations were Mumbai Central, Kurla, Thane, Vashi, and Airoli. Product pH, moisture content, total and unprotonated (biologically available) nicotine, and TSNA levels were measured at the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research, and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) in Mumbai. Findings: Total nicotine content ranged from 0.45 to 35.1 mg/g across products. The unprotonated nicotine fraction contributed 0.1–100% of the total nicotine content. The carcinogenic TSNA levels ranged 0.06–76 ug/g for N′-nitrosonornicotine (NNN), 0.02–19.2 ug/g for 4-(methylnitrosamino)-1-(3-pyridyl)-1-butanone (NNK), and 0.01–6.51 ug/g for 4-(methylnitrosamino)-1-(3-pyridyl)-1-butanol (NNAL). Consistent with our previous study, we observed substantial variations across different brands of the same product type. Interpretation: This is the most extensive and the first within-country study to report brand-specific nicotine and TSNA levels in SLT products marketed in Mumbai, India. Our results show that levels of these constituents remain extremely variable across Indian SLT and are strikingly high in many products. Enhanced public education and continued efforts to reduce SLT use prevalence in India are critical for reducing the global burden of SLT-associated morbidity and mortality. Regulation of nicotine and TSNA levels in SLT products should be considered. The article deals with a new phenomenon for the legal science the legal response to the consequences of human behavior in the virtual space.The subject of the research is the relations arising in the process of such response.The aim of the study is to analyze the legal response to the consequences of personal behavior in virtual space, including in the Russian Federation.The methodological basis of the study are logical and systematic methods of scientific knowledge, as well as methods of analysis and synthesis of legal phenomenaForeign and domestic experience of legal response to the consequences of human behavior in virtual space is studied.The peculiarities of legal response from the point of view of consequences for the person for malicious actions in virtual space, connected with leaving a digital footprint, are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to such characteristic of virtual space as the possibility of using its properties to implement the interest of the user, as well as consideration of virtual space through the prism of legal construction and digital sovereignty. It is stated that the legal construction, characterizing the essence of legal response to the consequences of behavior of an individual in the virtual space, should have the following meaning – "if there are harmful actions associated with the use of virtual space, it is necessary to provide a form of legal response, neutralizing such actions, otherwise the network functioning and use of electronic information resources will be accompanied by socially dangerous manifestations". At the same time the legal response to the relevant relations is considered through the prism of law enforcement results – conclusions are made about the peculiarities of such a response. Attention is focused on the peculiarities of legal response to the consequences of actions of an individual in virtual space in Russia and in China. It is noted that at the national level there is currently no universal model of legal response mechanism to the consequences of a person's actions in virtual space. It is concluded that this problem has a multidimensional nature, which is largely determined by the level of legal awareness of network users. Particular attention is paid to the need to use the potential of techniques and methods of special legal, social and psychological mechanism of law, which are considered to be an important factor in the development of law enforcement practice. The research shows that unlawful behavior in the virtual environment is closely related to various types of deviant behavior related to the use of Internet, which from the category of violating non-legal social norms (primarily, morality and ethics) turns into unlawful behavior, as it violates the requirements of law. Attention is drawn to the fact that at the national level there is currently no universal model of legal response to the consequences of human behavior in virtual space – each state goes its own way, the legal impact is often exposed to those relations which are recognized as the most important and relevant at the moment. Such a response, as a rule, is situational, often pursuing several goals (political, economic, ideological). Further study of the problem involves the need to develop a system of theoretical ideas about the forms of legal responsibility for the negative consequences of behavior in such a space.

In Australia, paramedics are obliged to practice ethically. Graduates of baccalaureate degrees in paramedicine should therefore possess a common grounding in ethics to meet the professional capabilities expected of registered paramedics. However, there is a lack of clarity regarding ethics education for paramedicine students, including what is taught, how it is taught, and how it is assessed. This paper explores ethics education for paramedicine students in Australia, how it aligns with current professional expectations, and how it may be enhanced. Point-in-time data regarding ethics education was collected from websites of fifteen Australian universities offering undergraduate baccalaureate degrees in paramedicine. Data collection was supported by consultation with academics from several institutions. Content analysis was utilised to categorise and analyse data to explore similarities and differences in curricula. Similarities included approaches to learning and teaching and the use of case-based learning, with variability found across teaching staff profiles and content areas. Findings suggest it is time for collaboration to develop a model ethics curriculum for paramedicine students in Australia.

Objective of the study: to investigate the content of vitamin D and the trace element magnesium in the blood of women of reproductive age with adenomyosis of the I–II and III–IV degrees after the COVID-19 disease depending on the algorithm of their management at 3, 6 and 12 months, as well as assess the general condition of patients. Materials and methods. 150 women after the COVID-19 disease were under observation: 30 practically healthy women (control group A), 60 patients with adenomyosis of the I–II degree (group B) and 60 patients with adenomyosis of the III–IV degree (group C). Observation continued for 3, 6 and 12 months after the COVID-19 disease. Results. Deterioration of well-being in patients with adenomyosis in the first months after COVID-19 has been proven. The frequency of complaints increased significantly: lethargy (55.0%), headache (36.7%), joint pain (41.7%), muscle pain (40.8%), pelvic pain (38.3%), dyspareunia (100%), etc. According to the scale of verbal assessment of pelvic pain, moderate pain (2 points) was experienced by 30.0% of patients of group B and 43.3% in group C, at the same time, severe (3 points) – 33.3%, very strong (4 points) – 20.0%. A significant decrease in the level of vitamin D and Mg was detected in women after the COVID-19 disease (p < 0.05): in almost all healthy women (group A) and in patients with adenomyosis (groups B and C). A significantly lower content of vitamin D and Mg was found in groups B and C compared to group A (p < 0.05), and in group C compared to group B. The effectiveness of taking vitamin D and magnesium preparations in patients with adenomyosis after the COVID-19 disease was confirmed: a significant difference in the frequency of symptoms characterizing the general condition of patients after 3, 6 and 12 months was obtained: a decrease in the frequency of neuroses, headaches, muscle pain, constant lower abdominal pain, dyspareunia, etc. Conclusions. The effectiveness of taking vitamin D and magnesium preparations by women with adenomyosis after the COVID-19 disease has been confirmed.
