To solve two critical issues of poor conductivity and low mass loading in pseudocapacitor research, reciprocal multilayer metal oxide/CNT electrodes (MnO 2 and MoO 3 as examples) are designed through a novel, general alternate deposition strategy. Multilayer metal oxide/CNT electrodes demonstrated significantly larger areal capacitances than those of the control groups. An assembled MnO 2 /CNT//MoO 3 /CNT asymmetric supercapacitor operating within an expanded potential window of 1.6 V exhibited a very high energy density of 1.7 mWh/cm 3 . These results suggest that the reciprocal alternate deposition strategy has promising potential applications in designing and fabricating positive and negative electrodes for the high-performance supercapacitors and other energy storage devices. To meet the requirement of clean and efficient energy storage system for practical applications, supercapacitors (SCs) to be promising candidates for the next-generation energy storage devices have received tremendous attentions. In fact, the SCs can have broader potential if they are designed as flexible power supplies for wearable electronic devices. Herein, we develop the first flexible, low-cost and high-performance hybrid electrode based on MnO2 nanotubes (NTs) and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) by employing a facile vacuum-filtering method. The superior mechanical and electrochemical performance of these flexible electrodes is attributed to: (1) the ultra-long one-dimensional nanotube morphology, (2) the synergistic effects between pseudocapacitive MnO2 NTs and conductive CNTs, (3) hierarchical porous structure of the freestanding film, and (4) high mass loading of MnO2 (4 mg cm-2). Subsequently, the as-synthesized freestanding CNT/MnO2 NT hybrid electrodes are assembled in the form of solid-state SC devices using polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/LiCl as gel electrolyte. The device exhibits an excellent volumetric capacitance of 5.1 F cm-3 and a high energy density of 0.45 mW h cm-3 for the entire SC volume. Finally, these SCs are integrated in a flexible power band that can drive watches and LEDs. The solid-state SC devices with outstanding flexibility and stability clearly demonstrate their broad applications as flexible, low-cost, high-performance power supplies in wearable electronic devices. The piezoelectric properties of two-dimensional (2D) materials have been widely studied due to their broad application prospects. MXene, one of the well-known 2D material members, is predicted to be a highly directional piezoelectric material with a non-centrosymmetric lattice structure. Here, the first experimental study of piezoelectric responses of the monolayer Ti 3 C 2 Tx MXene is reported, showing that the cyclic strain excites stable oscillating piezoelectric voltage and current outputs. The functional groups on the surface of the MXene break the inversion symmetry of lattice structures to possess piezoelectric properties. The piezoelectricity in the armchair direction of the Ti 3 C 2 Tx MXene sheet exhibits an intrinsic current output of 0.3 nA at 1.08% tensile strain, corresponding to the 6.5 mW/m2 power density and the 11.15% conversion efficiency, which are all higher than that of previous reported 2D materials. Further, theoretical calculations of the MXene have explained the origin of piezoelectric polarizations among the multi-atomic structure and the surface functional groups. The discovery of the piezo-MXene can lead to the foundation for the understanding and applications of the Ti 3 C 2 Tx MXene in powering nanodevices and stretchable electronics. Neuromorphic tactile sensors provide considerable feasibility to simulate essential capabilities of the human tactile system even beyond the bio-perceptible range. Nevertheless, the complicated circuitry of artificial tactile sensors based on electrical-skin, memory, and processing components show serial barriers in terms of system resolution, integration, and power consumption. Here, a high-resolution pressure piezo-memory system (HPPMS) is reported with 60 nm pixel-size as a competent neuromorphic tactile sensor, that presents non-volatile force resistive conversion and force-tunable synaptic functions. The piezo-memory pixel arrays realize nanoscale force-image sensing and memory actions as same as neuromorphic tactile preprocessing by enhanced processing efficiencies and recognition rates. The proof-of-concept system affords the possibility to achieve ultra-small force distributions, simplify tactile sensor circuits, and develop advanced applications in in-sensor computing and artificial intelligence. Advanced polymer dielectrics with high energy density at elevated temperatures are highly desired to meet the requirements of modern electronic and electrical systems under harsh conditions. Herein, we report a novel polyimide/magnesium oxide (PI/MgO) nanodielectric that exhibits high energy storage density (Ue) and charge–discharge efficiency (η) along with excellent cycling stability at elevated temperatures. Benefiting from the large bandgap of MgO and the extended interchain spacing of PI, the composite films can simultaneously achieve high dielectric constant and high breakdown strength, leading to enhanced energy storage density. The nanocomposite film doped with 0.1 vol% MgO can achieve a maximum Ue of 2.6 J cm−3 and a η of 89% at 450 MV m−1 and 150 °C, which is three times that of the PI film under the same conditions. In addition, embedding ultralow content of inorganic fillers can avoid aggregation and facilitate its large-scale production. For the mimicry of biological neuromorphic tactile system, an intriguing challenge is how to produce a multi-functioning electronic devices of sensing force like skins and memorizing information like brains. However, current pressure sensors can only detect real-time force information, which vanishes after removing external stimulations, and present serious barriers in terms of the integrating demand of pressure sensors and memory elements as bionic pressure memory. Inspired by the luminescence-fish neuromorphic tactile system, a high-performance dual-excited pressure memory (DPM) device with the piezo-OLED array and piezo-memristor array is demonstrated in the present study. The DPM device can actively sense the tactile information and memorize the mapping images by transferring pressure signals to resistance signals as the bionic electronic-skin. Furthermore, this device with the double piezo structure for both photo- and potential-excitations can retain the memorized information with a high on/off ratio of ~810 and a stable storage of <4% resistance attenuation. The corresponding tactile memory functions are also exhibited as artificial intelligence interactions with the tasks of pressure mapping recognition. The proof-of-concept device can pave the way for bionic neuromorphic tactile systems as the future high-performance wearable electronics, intelligent electronics, and handicapped auxiliary assistance. Skin-like epidermal electronic technologies are making significant marks in the field of human and machine interaction, with critical applications in prosthetics and robotic systems. However, currently existing skin-interface devices can not statisfy both the high transparency and the large stretchability simultaneously, especially for flexible smart screens, curved optical projections, and patient-friendly medical skin-devices. This study presents a hyaline and stretchable haptic interface (HSHI) based on 20 × 20 capacitive sensor array, simultaneously demonstrating both high transparency and large stretchability. The serpentine design of netlike conductive architectures with narrow nanofibers under surface plasmons in the HSHI can maximize light transmittance (>90%), and form the compatibility of structures and functions with the considerable mechanical strain (>50%). Multifunctional HSHI performs the vary great tactile and geometric adaptation from obviously capacitive-effect shifts for interfacing and switching systems on the robotic arm and the screen. The routes for designing and manufacturing the HSHI also provide effective ways for various complex performances and special application outreaching usual methods through integrating serpentine stretchable technologies and the transparent nanowire arrays. Urea oxidation reaction (UOR) is regarded as a potential approach for industrial hydrogen production to address energy scarcity and water pollution challenges. Fabrication of efficient and stable electrocatalysts is a crucial factor in H 2 yield and energy conversion efficiency. Herein, we propose a synergistic engineering route to develop the heteroatom-doped Ni 2 P-Ni 12 P 5 heterojunction on the porous carbon as the electrocatalyst via the simple solution combustion method. The shift of the diffraction peaks, the change of the lattice spacing, and the difference in the electronic distribution indicate that Cu or Mn heteroatoms are successfully doped into the heterojunction Ni 2 P-Ni 12 P 5 structure, not only promoting the formation of the Ni3+ but also accelerating the electron transfer. As a result, the doping of Cu and Mn into the Ni 2 P-Ni 12 P 5 heterojunction obtains high-performance electrocatalysts for the UOR. The Mn doping enhances the catalytic performance of the parent Ni 2 P-Ni 12 P 5 heterostructure, achieving the potential of 1.319 V at 100 mA∙cm−2 in UOR. Moreover, the Cu-doped Ni 2 P-Ni 12 P 5 heterojunction catalyst shows a low potential of 1.318 V at 100 mA∙cm−2 and demonstrates exceptional long-term stability under different current densities. Notably, when this catalyst is employed in the two-electrode cell for urea-assisted water electrolysis, the hydrogen production readily occurs at the voltage of 1.47 V for reaching 100 mA∙cm−2, manifesting the electrocatalyst with high activity and stability to be a promising candidate for energy-saving electrolytic hydrogen production on the industrial scale. Monolayer MoS2 is a two‐dimensional transition‐metal dichalcogenide (TMD), and its atomic‐level thickness makes it an appealing research target in beyond‐silicon devices. Future practical uses are intimately related to controllable synthesis of materials at present, and salt‐assisted chemical vapor deposition (SA‐CVD) offers a promising way. However, the specific growth mechanism of alkali metal salts on MoS2 crystal development and their influence on optoelectronic characteristics of the as‐grown MoS2 crystals is not fully identified. Here, based on large amount experiments, we present a vapor‐liquid‐solid (VLS) edge‐adsorbed growth model for synthesizing MoS2 nanoflakes, emphasizing the edge‐adsorbed phenomena of the alkali metal element Na in regulating MoS2 crystal shape. Through controlling flow rate of carrier gas, the MoS2 defective morphology can be effectively suppressed. This study contributes to a better understanding of the role of alkali metal halide salts in TMD development by providing experimental and theoretical evidence, which is critical for synthesizing high quality TMD by alkali metal halide salts catalyst. Degradable electronics have received extensive attention due to their potential to construct 'green' electronics and implantable medical devices. However, in the development of degradable devices, the contradiction between the strict requirements for biodegradability and the pursuit of device performance has brought considerable challenges to the selection of materials. This paper reports a biodegradable flexible tactile sensor (BFTS) based on chitosan film doped with Ostrinia furnacalis cuticular protein (OfCPH‐1) as substrate and Zn as the interdigital electrode. The BFTS maintains a precise and stable response to microdistance, and it is completely degraded in 3 h through the solubility test in Stroke‐physiological saline solution. Furthermore, the BFTS has been tested in complications monitoring after meniscal removal surgery by the dynamic detection of articular cartilage wear and effusion of joint. Paraffin phase change materials (PCMs) exhibit great potential in battery thermal management (BTM); nevertheless, their application has been hampered by the handicap of low thermal conductivity, leakage, and volume expansion during phase transition. In this work, ternary composite PCMs formed of paraffin, expanded graphite (EG), and low-density polyethylene (LDPE) were developed for application in BTM. The structure and properties of the composite PCMs were characterized via X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, and thermal constant analysis. The result shows that EG can form a large-size graphite frame as heat conduction paths to improve the thermal conductivity of the composite PCM, and LDPE can form an interpenetrating network within the composite PCM to resist the internal stress of paraffin expansion and prevent deformation. The latent heat and thermal conductivity of the composite PCMs loaded with 10 wt% EG and 4 wt% LDPE can reach 172.06 J/g and 3.85 Wm−1K−1 with a relatively low leakage ratio of 6.2 wt%. Remarkably, the composite PCMs could reduce the temperature rise of the battery by 55.1%. In brief, this work provides a feasible route to develop high-performance PCMs for BTM. Thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) materials based on multiple resonance (MR) molecular structures can achieve advantages, such as high fluorescence efficiency, reduced structural relaxation and narrow emission. It still remains a challenge to design highly efficient MR structure-based TADF materials with fast reverse intersystem crossing processes and easy emission-color tuning. Herein, we theoretically investigated the recently reported TADF molecule, which has the MR structure of quinolino[3,2,1-de] acridine-5,9-dione (QAD) as the acceptor and the moiety of carbazole (Cz) as the donor, namely QAD-Cz. The calculated fluorescence quantum efficiency of QAD-Cz is as high as 96.5%, which agrees with the experimental results (99.6%) very well. Moreover, we designed two new TADF materials based on the MR-QAD structure with different electron-donating moieties, namely QAD-TPA and QAD-DPTZ. The two newly designed molecules can theoretically achieve high fluorescence quantum efficiencies (over 90%) and fast reverse intersystem crossing rates (e.g. as high as 107 s−1 for QAD-DPTZ). The calculated emission wavelength of the QAD-DPTZ molecule is 638 nm, which obviously widens the emission color range of the reported MR-QAD-based TADF materials. Furthermore, we have analyzed the aggregation effects of the QAD-DPTZ molecule and demonstrated that this novel compound can likewise exhibit excellent luminescence performance in amorphous states. In plants, resistance (R) genes are involved in pathogen recognition and subsequent activation of innate immune responses. The nucleotide-binding site-leucine-rich repeat (NBS-LRR) genes family forms the largest R-gene family among plant genomes and play an important role in plant disease resistance. In this paper, comprehensive analysis of NBS-encoding genes is performed in the whole Setaria italica genome. A total of 96 NBS-LRR genes are identified, and comprehensive overview of the NBS-LRR genes is undertaken, including phylogenetic analysis, chromosome locations, conserved motifs of proteins, and gene expression. Based on the domain, these genes are divided into two groups and distributed in all Setaria italica chromosomes. Most NBS-LRR genes are located at the distal tip of the long arms of the chromosomes. Setaria italica NBS-LRR proteins share at least one nucleotide-biding domain and one leucine-rich repeat domain. Our results also show the duplication of NBS-LRR genes in Setaria italica is related to their gene structure. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
