152. Temporal scale effects on trend estimates for solar radiation, thermal and snow conditions, and their feedbacks: the case from China

The uncertainty in trend estimates caused by temporal scale effect has rarely been studied. In response to this challenge, this study aims to explore temporal scale effects on trend detection based on in situ measurements throughout China given that they provide full temporal details of surface elements. Three common temporal scales (daily, monthly, and yearly) were used to present findings. Two different trend detection methods (i.e., simple linear regression and breaks for additive seasonal and trend) were employed to check the dependence of temporal scale effects on methods. It was found that temporal scale effects were dependent on the type of elements, the time span of datasets, and trend detection methods. They are more significant for elements with fast changes (e.g., snow depth) compared to those with gradual changes (e.g., albedo, air temperature). And temporal scale effects from daily to monthly scale are generally larger than those from monthly to yearly scale. The former is almost independent of trend detection methods, while the latter shows a clear dependence (i.e., dealing with seasonality or not). Trend estimates of surface albedo and longwave net radiation are mainly affected by temporal scale effects, while those of snow depth, shortwave net radiation, and air temperature are affected by both temporal scale effects and the choice of trend detection methods. The feedbacks between these elements show a clear dependence on temporal scale, which are generally stronger on monthly scale but weaker on yearly scale.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the non-cash food assistance program on the welfare of the community in Maddenra Village, Kulo District, Sidenreng Rappang Regency. The population of this study is 111 people (beneficiary families) while the sample size is 55 people (beneficiary families). Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, questionnaires and literature study. The data analysis technique used was validity test and data reliability test, and simple linear regression and hypothesis testing with the help of SPSS version 21 application. The results showed that the effectiveness of the Non-Cash Food Assistance Program in Maddenra Village with a percentage of 56% was in the poor category. Community welfare in Maddenra Village with a percentage of 58% is in the poor category. Based on the value of tcount > ttable or 3,305 > 2,008, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that it has a significant effect of 17,6%, the magnitude of the effect of variable X on variable Y.

This study aims to determine and analyze the Effect of Compensation and Motivation on Employee Job Satisfaction (Case Study at the Kota Kasablanka Branch Paperclip). Collecting data in this study using primary data obtained from questionnaires. The sample in this study were 48 employees of the Kota Kasablanka Paperclip Branch. The analysis technique used is simple regression analysis. Based on the results of the study, partially the compensation variable (X1) has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction (Y) with the results of tcount 4.303> t table 1.679 with t sig 0.000 ttable 1,679 with t sig 0,000> than 0.05. The coefficient of determination means the effect of the contribution between compensation (X1) and motivation (X2) on employee job satisfaction (Y). Testing the coefficient of determination (R2) obtained on the compensation variable on employee job satisfaction is 0.287 or 28.7% while the remaining 71.3% is influenced by other. The coefficient of determination (R2) on the motivation variable on employee job satisfaction is 0.445 or 44.5% while the remaining 55.5% is influenced by other factors.

155. The noise-reduction potential of Radar Vegetation Index for crop management in the Czech Republic

Wheat and rapeseed are significant crops in Czech agriculture and remote sensing has huge potential for their management, given Sentinel-1 can overcome issues of cloudiness and monitor vegetation development via radar backscatter. This study compares radar and optical data characterizing the development of wheat and rapeseed in an agricultural cooperative in the Czech Republic. Radar Vegetation Index (RVI) and Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) time-series of the main vegetation seasons between 2015 and 2018 are processed, analysed, and compared with each other. In 2018, the comparison of data with ground measurement by camera was also used. The temporal development of RVI is affected by noise, which is caused by the composition of imagery from different Relative orbits. The separation of imagery according to the Relative orbit used seemed to provide results more comparable to the phenological curve. Simple linear regression between NDVI and RVI illustrated that considering Relative orbit can slightly increase the Coefficient of determination. By selecting a suitable Relative orbit, the coefficient of determination between NDVI and RVI increased from 0.281 to 0.387 in the case of wheat and from 0.233 to 0.316 in the case of rape monitoring. The RVI for rapeseed and the height of canopy correlation was 0.392. The results for RVI presented in this article demonstrated that monitoring wheat and rapeseed development by Sentinel-1 has potential, however more research needs to be conducted in the areas of spatial and temporal noise removal.

This study aimed to discover the school principal instructional leadership influence on job satisfaction of vocational high school teachers in Sleman Regency, D.I. Yogyakarta. This type of research was ex-post facto with a quantitative approach. The questionnaire was conducted on 91 teachers (71,09% response rate) to examine the influence of principal instructional leadership (X) on teacher job satisfaction (Y). Validation of the instrument used expert judgment and empirical test with the Pearson Product Moment correlation, 43 out of 43 items are declared valid. The instrument reliability test was applied by using Cronbach's Alpha. The results of the reliability test showed that all variables were declared reliable (α 0,7). A classical assumption test was done by testing normality, linearity, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity. Simple linear regression was used as data analysis to test the influence of the independent variable (X) towards the dependent variable (Y). The simple linear regression results indicate a positive and significant influence between the principal instructional leadership on teacher job satisfaction (t = 13,329, p = .000). The coefficient of determination value (R^2) of 0,666 indicates that the principal instructional leadership influences teacher job satisfaction by 66,6%. Meanwhile, the remaining 33,4% are influenced by other factors.

This research was conducted to prove that APIC-based financial learning practices can improve financial literacy, which also has a positive effect on inclusive financial management education. The grand theory used in this research is Behavioral Finance Theory. The sample of this research used an error rate of 5%; therefore, the sample obtained amounted to 347 people. This study used the design of R&D and also the design of media applications. The study was conducted using a mixed-method. Data analysis techniques used: 1) data eligibility test, 2) t-test through one-way ANOVA analysis and 3) simple regression. The results showed that: (a) the APIC work system that was developed had met the material and media validity requirements, (b) APIC-based financial learning practices were able to increase financial literacy, and (c) APIC-based financial literacy had a positive effect on the level of inclusive financial management.

The paper aims at presentation of a methodology where the classical linear regression model is modified to guarantee more realistic estimations and lower parameter oscillations for a specific urban system. That can be achieved by means of the weighted regression model which is based on weights ascribed to individual cities. The major shortcoming of the methods used so far – especially the classical simple linear regression – is the treatment of individual cities as points carrying the same weight, in consequence of which the linear regression poorly matches the empirical distribution of cities. Understanding the uncertainty in the parameterization of the two photosynthetic capacity parameters, leaf maximum carboxylation rate (Vcmax), and maximum electron transport rate (Jmax), is crucial for modeling and predicting carbon fluxes in terrestrial ecosystems. In gas exchange models, to date, Jmax is typically estimated from Vcmax based on a linear regression. However, recent studies have revealed that this relationship varies, dependent upon species, leaf groups, and time, so it is doubtful that the regression applies universally. Furthermore, far less is known regarding how other leaf traits affect the regression. In this study we analyzed the two key photosynthetic parameters and popularly measurable leaf traits, leaf chlorophyll concentration and leaf mass per area (LMA), of cool-temperate forest stands in Japan, aiming to construct a simple regression applicable to temperate deciduous forests, at least. The analysis was based on a long-term field dataset covering years of data for both sunlit and shaded leaves at different altitudes. Results showed that the best-fitted slope of the regression differed markedly from those previously reported, which were typically acquired from sunlit leaves. LMA had a significant effect on the regression, producing the lowest root mean square errors and the highest ratio of performance to deviation values (RPD = 2.017). Although more data are needed to validate in other ecosystems, our approach at least provides a promising way to substantially improve photosynthesis model predictions, by introducing leaf traits into the popular empirical regression of Jmax against Vcmax, and ultimately to better understand the functioning of the photosynthetic machinery.

This study aims to find out which factors, between the word of mouth (WoM) or marketing promotion programs (MPP), drive motivation (push and pull); to explore the influence of travel motivation toward satisfaction, and to investigate the satisfaction effect of medical tourists with loyalty. This study used a survey method by distributing questionnaires to medical tourists from Indonesia (N = 152) who have visited hospitals in Malaysia for medical care at least once. Data analysis was carried out using several statistical procedures. Firstly, a multivariate test was conducted to find out whether there is a statistically significant difference in the push and pull motives based on the influencers. Second, multiple linear regression is performed to find out the influence of push and pull variables on satisfaction. Finally, a simple linear regression is calculated to find out the influence of satisfaction on loyalty. The findings show that there is a statistically significant difference in the push and pull motives based on the influencers (WoM or MPP). The effect size of both push and pull is almost equal. The relationship between push or pull and satisfaction is also statistically significant as 41.3% of the variance in the satisfaction is explained by the push and 51.8% by pull factors. Finally, satisfaction is a significant predictor for loyalty while 90.2% of the variance in loyalty is explained by satisfaction.

The purpose of study is to investigate the influence of e-procurement on the performance of state corporations in Kenya. Descriptive research design is adopted with the use of questionnaire as tool for primary data collected. The data yielded a response rate of 95.2 percent from a sample size of 62 used, which were drawn mainly from senior procurement managers of Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA). The data collected was statistically analysed to test content validity and reliability. In addition, a simple regression model was used conducted to test relationship between e-procurement and the performance of state corporations in Kenya. From the findings it was found out that e-procurement has transformed all routine purchasing transactions within KeRRA. However, it was established that e-procurement does not reduce the costs of acquiring materials and freeing up KeRRA resources. It was also noted that e-procurement positively increases the performance of state corporations.

By using two blades of analysis, namely simple linear regression analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of simple regression analysis, it is known that partially CAR affects ROA and partially ISR affects ROA. Then simultaneously CAR and ISR influence ROA. Therefore, the role of profit in the company has an influential role, because the main objective of the company's operations is to achieve maximum profit. Information on profit achievement is not only useful for external parties such as the public as users of Islamic financial institutions as service companies and internal parties as parties who carry out or run the company in order to determine steps how to run the company to make a profit.

The increasing search for a reduction in air emissions has provided a challenging analytical scenario. This paper discusses metrologically, the best practices relating to analytical curves for the determination of very low concentrations of sulfur content in diesel S-10 by monochromatic wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (MWDXRF). For weighted linear regression, a new strategy to correlate the weights with the output variable is proposed, which is lacking in the literature. The analytical curve 0-500 mg kg-1, built in compliance with international standards, featured heteroscedastic behavior. The results showed that weighted linear regression is the most suitable choice for assessing concentrations at the beginning of an analytical curve, such as 10 mg kg-1 (product specification limit) rather than simple linear regression which holds that the measured results must be closest to the centroid of the regression line. Finally, it was observed that, when a shorter analytical curve is built, it loses both in accuracy and in precision for very low concentrations, as compared to t simple and weighted linear regression.

167. Commentary: On measurement error, PSA doubling time, and prostate cancer.

Exposure measurement error is a pervasive problem for epidemiology research projects designed to provide valid and precise statistical evidence supporting postulated exposure-disease relationships of interest. The purpose of this commentary is to highlight an important real-life example of this exposure measurement error problem and to provide a simple and useful diagnostic tool for physicians and their patients that corrects for the exposure measurement error. More specifically, prostate-specific antigen doubling time (PSADT) is a widely used measure for guiding future treatment options for patients with biochemically recurrent prostate cancer. Numerous papers have been published claiming that a low calculated PSADT value (denoted PSADT ^ ) is predictive of metastasis and premature death from prostate cancer. Unfortunately, none of these papers have adjusted for the measurement error in PSADT ^ , an estimator that is typically computed using the popular Memorial Sloan Kettering website very often visited by both physicians and their patients. For this website, the estimator PSADT ^ of the true (but unknown) PSADT for a patient (denoted PSADT
∗ ) is computed as the natural log of 2 (i.e., 0.6931) divided by the estimated slope of the straight-line regression of the natural log of PSA (in ng/mL) on time. We utilize PSADT ^ to derive an expression for the probability that the unknown PSADT∗ for a patient is below a specified value C ( > 0 ) of concern to both the physician and the patient. This probability is easy to interpret and takes into account the fact that PSADT ^ is a statistical estimator with variability. This variability introduces measurement error, namely, the difference between a computed value PSADT ^ and the true, but unknown, value PSADT∗ . We have developed an Excel calculator that, once the [time, ln(PSA)] values are entered, outputs both the value of PSADT ^ and the desired probability. In addition, we discuss problematic statistical issues attendant with PSADT∗ estimation typically based on at most three or four PSA values. We strongly recommend the use of this probability when physicians are discussing PSADT ^ values and associated treatment options with their patients. 168. Influence of access to extension services on milk productivity among smallholder dairy farmers in Njoro Sub-County, Nakuru County, Kenya.

Inaccessibility to extension services by smallholder farmers remains one of the impediments to achieving high agricultural productivity and food security. Extension services play a critical role in information dissemination that can avert food insecurity and increase smallholder dairy farmers' incomes. However, access to extension services remains a significant challenge in developing countries. This study investigated the influence of access to extension services on milk productivity among smallholder dairy farmers in Njoro Sub-County, Nakuru County, Kenya. The study's target and accessible population was 17,000 smallholder dairy farmers. The study used simple random and proportionate sampling techniques to select study farmers. Nassiuma's formula generated a sample of 120 smallholder dairy farmers. The hypothesis underwent testing using simple linear regression. The regression results found a statistically significant influence between access to extension services and milk productivity at a 5% significance level (p < 0.05). Findings show that most smallholder dairy farmers accessed extension services through television, radio, neighbours, and friends. In contrast, the top animal husbandry practices that most farmers were interested in were parasite and disease control, breed selection, and feed preparation. The Government of Kenya mainly provided vaccination services, while the other veterinary services, including deworming, pregnancy and disease diagnosis, breed selection, and treatment, were dominated by private entities. The Government of Kenya should improve smallholder dairy farmers' access to extension services. The study recommends channeling agricultural information in all possible vernacular languages and Kiswahili, the national language, via television and radio platforms to reach all smallholder dairy cow farmers. We performed a number of statistical analysis methods on the historical data for the air temperature at 2 m above the ground and its range, as reported by the database of NASA known as POWER, which stands for Prediction Of Worldwide Energy Resources. The point of analysis is the University of Buraimi, located in Al Buraimi Governate, in the Northwest of the Sultanate of Oman, near its border with United Arab Emirates (UAE). The data is in the form of a value per day, for every day in the year. The data analyzed span the period from January 3rd, 1981 (earliest day available) to December 31st, 2019 (latest end-of-year available). The statistical analysis methods include: simple linear regression, F-test: two-sample for variances, analysis of variance (ANOVA): single factor, and t-test: two-sample assuming equal variances (pooled). The results show that the mean of the local 2-meter air temperature is increasing at a rate of about 0.039 °C per year, starting from an estimated value of 27.4 °C in 1980. For the standard deviation of the 2-meter air temperature, and the mean and standard deviation of its range; although a linear regression analysis suggests a decline over time, the regression coefficient is not significant. On the other hand, the analysis of variance for the 9 years 1981, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015, 2019 suggests existence of statistical difference among them collectively, for the 2-meter air temperature and its range. In the second part of this work, NASA POWER data for the air temperature at 2 m above the ground, the atmospheric pressure, the relative humidity at 2 m above the ground, and the daily precipitation were compared with recorded sensor measurements at Manah meteorological station, located in Al Dakhiliyah Governate, in the Northeast of the Sultanate of Oman over all days of years 2011, 2012, 2015, and 2016. The statistical analysis and visual inspection suggest that NASA POWER data are reliable for the 2-meter air temperature, while showing about 2.1 kPa constant shift (underestimation) for the atmospheric pressure. The data show mild inaccuracy for the 2-meter relative humidity, but are largely unreliable for the precipitation, with significantly exaggerated values compared to real recordings., Global warming; Climate change; Greenhouse effect; Buraimi; Oman; Validation; NASA POWER

Purpose There is still debate whether intraoperative Schneiderian membrane (SM) perforation in the maxillary sinus lift causes an increase the risk of implants failure. The aim of this study was to assess an association between SM perforation and implants loss following the maxillary sinus lift. Materials and methods: A systematic review and meta‐analysis of clinical studies assessing association between SM perforation and implants failure based on PRISMA was conducted. Three major databases were used to gather research dating from their respective inception up until March 2018. All clinical studies expressly reported the number of the SM perforation and implants loss that installed in the perforated and nonperforated sinuses were included. The statistical analyses used were Pearson's correlation, simple linear regression, and meta regression. The risk ratio (RR) of implant loss between perforated and nonperforated sites was estimated. Results: A total of 2947 patients with 3884 maxillary sinuses augmentations who received 7358 implants, enrolled in 58 studies were included in this study. There was a significant relationship between the implants' failure and SM perforation according to simple linear regression (P < .001) and meta regression analysis (P = .06). There was a significant decrease (moderate quality evidence) in implant loss in the nonperforated sinuses compared to perforated sunrises (RR = 2.17, CI: 1.52‐3.10, P = .001). There was also no significant association between implant loss in the perforated sinuses and the surgical devices used (piezosurgical or rotary), surgical approach applied (lateral or crestal sinus lift), barrier membrane used and type of bone grafting materials. Conclusion: The results of this study showed that an intraoperative SM perforation could increase the risk of implant failure after the sinus lift surgery. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Octanol-water partition coefficients (log Po/w) of fifteen previously synthesized 17ß-carboxamide glucocorticoid derivatives and prednisolone were determined using shake-flask method. The retention behavior of selected compounds was tested in five reversed-phased thin-layer chromatography (RP-TLC) systems, consisting of water and organic solvent (acetonitrile, acetone, ethanol 96%, methanol, or tetrahydrofuran), and chromatography parameters (RM 0, S, and C0) were calculated. Simple linear regression (SLR) analysis was performed, and the correlation between log Po/w and chromatography parameters was tested. The most appropriate RP-TLC system for log Po/w prediction was that consisting of water and ethanol 96% as the mobile phase. Statisitical evaluation of the quality of models created using this system proved their reliability for log Po/w prediction of new 17ß-carboxamide glucocorticoid derivatives, and the model with the most favorable statistical parameters was underlined. To establish population-specific age estimation models in adults from costal cartilage for contemporary Chinese by using three-dimensional volume-rendering technique. Five hundred and twelve individuals (254 females and 258 males) with documented ages between 20 and 85 years were retrospectively included. Their clinical CT examinations (1 mm slice thickness) were used to develop the sex-specific age prediction model. A validation sample comprising 26 female and 24 male individuals was then used to test the predictive accuracy of the established models. Simple linear regression (SLR), multiple linear regression (MLR), gradient boosting regression (GBR), support vector machine (SVM), and decision tree regression (DTR) were utilized to build the age diagnosis models from calibration samples. By comparison, the decision tree regression was the relatively more accurate age prediction model for male, with mean absolute error = 5.31 years, least absolute error = 0.10 years, correct percentage within 5 years = 54%, and the correct percentage within 10 years = 88%. The stepwise multiple linear regression equations was the relatively more accurate one for female, with mean absolute error = 6.72 years, least absolute error = 0.68 years, correct percentage within 5 years = 42%, and correct percentage within 10 years = 77%. Our results indicated that the present established age estimation model can be applied as an additional guidance for age estimation in adults. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Material selection is an important stage in the development of products from composites process of automotive component application. Numerious different Multi-Criteria Decision-Making tools have their own strenghts and limitations. This paper presents a framework for material selection of natural fibre reinforced polymer composites by using statistical approach. The framework is developed using statistical methods which are simple, multiple and stepwise regression for the material selection process. The performance of potential material is investigated by a statistical analysis such as coefficient of correlation, coefficient of determination and analysis of variance. A case study to select the best composite of parking brake lever is applied to this framework. End results revealed that kenaf reinforced polypropylene is the best candidate for construction of automotive parking brake lever component. The best possible of statistical model for material selection of the composite can be referred by design engineer in composite industry for a multiple application. Research based on phenomena that show a decline in teacher performance. The purpose of this study was to describe the contribution of kindergarten principal leadership and academic supervision to performing kindergarten teachers. This type of research is quantitative, with a descriptive correlational approach. The population in this study were kindergarten teachers, amounting to 43 people. Respondents in this study amounted to 43 people. The instrument used is a Likert model scale and a questionnaire about teacher performance, the leadership of the kindergarten principal, and the academic supervision of the education unit supervisor. Test the validity using the product moment correlation. For the reliability test using Cronbach’s alpha. The requirements analysis tests carried out are; normality test, linearity test and multicollinearity test. The data analysis technique used simple regression and multiple regression. The results showed that; 1) there is a contribution from the leadership of the kindergarten head to performing the kindergarten teacher, 2) there is the contribution of the academic supervision of the education unit supervisor to the kindergarten teacher’s performance, and 3) there is the contribution of the leadership of the kindergarten head and the academic supervision of the education unit supervisor to the kindergarten teacher performance.

BACKGROUND There is little longitudinal research on whether changes to Total Worker Health® (TWH) policies and programs are associated with changes in health climate and safety climate. We hypothesize that as TWH policies and programs change, employees will report changes in safety climate and health climate from baseline to 1 year. METHODS Twenty-five diverse small businesses and their employees participated in assessments completed approximately 1 year apart. The exposures of interest, TWH policies and programs, were measured using the business-level Healthy Workplace Assessment™ which collects information on six benchmarks. The outcomes of interest, employee perceptions of safety climate and health climate, were measured via an employee survey. We employed paired t-tests and simple linear regression to assess change over a 1-year period. RESULTS The mean Healthy Workplace Assessment overall score changed by 11.3 points (SD = 11.8) from baseline to Year 1. From baseline to Year 1, the mean scores of each benchmark changed in a positive direction within this sample. The mean safety climate score and health climate score changed by +0.1 points (SD = 0.2) and +0.1 points (SD = 6.4) from baseline to Year 1, respectively. The associations between changes in the overall Healthy Workplace Assessment score and health climate and safety climate scores were negligible [β = 0.01 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.002, 0.02), and β = 0.01 (95% CI: 0.002, 0.02), respectively]. CONCLUSION Our study suggests that when small businesses improve upon their TWH policies and programs they experience marginal measurable improvements in employee perceptions of their workplace safety climate and health climate.

This study used a descriptive quantitative approach; data collection techniques used was the questionnaire method. The research population was 365 students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, UNP Kediri class of 2018. The samples were taken using a purposive sampling technique with a total of 79 students. Data analyses used were validity, reliability, normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity tests, simple regression analysis techniques, hypothesis testing and determination tests (R2). This study used SPSS software version 23 which showed the results of the t-test of learning achievement variable values with a sig of 0.46 ftable with a total of 3,970 ftables, simultaneously student activity in the organization had a positive and significant influence on learning achievement and improvement of soft skills on Economics and Business students of Nusantara PGRI University, Kediri. Women who are married at the same time choose to work will easily be led to work family conflicts in which women will be faced with the demands of their respective roles. The purpose of this study was to determine whether family work conflated had an effect on psychological well being of female employees working in factories. This research is included in a quantitative study conducted on 108 female employees with an age range of 25-55 years and have a minimum service period of 1-2 years. Data was collected through filling out a questionnaire by modifying the work family conflict scale instrument from Khairuni Atikah (2018) based on Greenhaus Beutell's theory (1985) and the psychological well being scale from Mamluatul Khoiroh (2015) based on Ryff's theory (1989). Data analysis in this study used a simple regression analysis using the SPSS (Statistical Program for Social Science) version 24.0. The results of the research that has been done show that work family conflict has a negative effect on psychological well being where Y = a + bX (Y = 85,968 - 0.466 X = 85,502 X). The regression coefficient value obtained is -0.466 proves that the increasing work family conflict of an employee will affect the decrease in psychological well being, because any increase or decrease in the work family conflict variable will cause an increase or decrease in the psychological well being variable. , and the magnitude of the effect of work family conflict on psychological wel being is 20.6%, while the rest is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

According to data analysis, micro business flanking institution must be conducted as micro finance institution. The amount, the level of funds given. Has an influence on the business run by customers in their daily economic needs. So that in the increase in the business it self is still increasing, limites to additional capital. To add merchandise and try new businesses only used for consumptive purposes should be used as productive funds.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of compensation on employee performance. The method used is a quantitative research method with the number of samples used is 54 respondents. The sampling technique was done by random sampling. The results of the study: The correlation coefficient (rxy) was 0.46. This shows that there is a moderate relationship between the variables of Compensation and Employee Performance at Kreasindo Jaya Abadi; Compensation variable contributes to Employee Performance variable by 21.16% and the remaining 78.84% is contributed by other variables; We get a simple linear regression equation Y = 18.30 + 0.5082X. The results of the hypothesis analysis show the value of t count > t table (3.7353 > 1.6747), so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the Compensation variable and the Employee Performance variable.

This research analyzes the effect of investment decisions through Total Asset Growth (TAG) on Price to Book Value (PBV). Since PVB indicates stock measurement based on the ratio of stock price to book value, it is used by investors to assess the price offered. This research uses time-series data from 2014-2020 to examine seven companies selected using purposive sampling but based on fairly good asset developments from 2014 to 2020. Furthermore, this quantitative causal study data were collected using documentation from various sources and analyzed using a simple linear regression test. The results show that the TAG variable has no effect on PBV with a significance value of 0.89 0.05. This shows that TAG does not describe a stable company and is not always useful in investment decision-making.

The aim was to propose an approach for the consistency of monthly rainfall climatic series. The methodology was applied to series (1961-2010) of rainfall from meteorological stations located in the state of Rio de Janeiro (RJ) and on the border of the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo with RJ. The data were submitted to quality analysis (physical limits, climatic limits and spatio-temporal tendency) and filling of gaps by the simple linear regression method, associated with the prediction band (p 0.9), in the others the break point of homogeneity was identified and the simple linear regression method was applied in its homogenization. This approach was effective to consist of the precipitation series and makes it possible to use these data in climate studies. The aim of this work was to propose a method for the consistency of climatic series of monthly rainfall using a supervised and unsupervised approach. The methodology was applied for the series (1961-2010) of rainfall from weather stations located in the State of Rio de Janeiro (RJ) and in the borders with the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo with the State of Rio de Janeiro. The data were submitted to quality analysis (physical and climatic limit and, space-time tendency) and gap filling, based on simple linear regression analysis, associated with the prediction band (p < 0.05 or 0.01), in addition to the Z-score (3, 4 or 5). Next, homogeneity analysis was applied to the continuous series, using the method of cumulative residuals. The coefficients of determination (r²) between the assessed series and the reference series were greater than 0.70 for gap filling both for the supervised and unsupervised approaches. In the analysis of data homogeneity, supervised and unsupervised approaches were effective in selecting homogeneous series, in which five out of the nine final stations were homogeneous (p > 0.9). In the other series, the homogeneity break points were identified and the simple linear regression method was applied for their homogenization. The proposed method was effective to consist of the rainfall series and allows the use of these data in climate studies.
