Abstract

Esta investigación es un estudio exploratorio descriptivo que analiza el uso de las multimedias interactivas - MI, como recurso pedagógico en Semiología y su aplicabilidad en la enseñanza de la enfermería. Presenta como objetivo discutir la relación entre el empleo de la MI en la asignatura de Semiología y su aplicabilidad en la enseñanza práctica en la asignatura de Semiotécnica en Enfermería II. La metodología fue cualitativa, con análisis para trazar el perfil de los entrevistados, 25 estudiantes de enfermería y posteriormente análisis del contenido, a partir de las categorización de los discursos recolectados. Los resultados fueran divididos en cinco categorías: la contribución de el MI en la asimilación del contenido teórico de Semiología en enfermería; MI, la correlación de la teoría con la práctica de la semiología en la mejora del cuidado de enfermería; la interactividad que procede de la visualización del contenido teórico de la semiología por medio de las multimedias interactivas; la distancia entre el contenido teórico de la semiología y su uso en la enseñanza-aprendizaje de la enfermería y la inaccesibilidad del estudiante de enfermería a las nuevas tecnologías de la educación como barrera del proceso enseñar-aprender. A partir de estas categorías las ideas fueron agrupadas en: las multimedias interactivas que contribuyen en la correlación de la enseñanza teórico-práctica de la Semiología y Semiotecnica en Enfermería II. Trata-se de uma investigação descritivo-exploratória que analisa o emprego da multimídia interativa – MI, como recurso pedagógico em Semiologia e sua aplicabilidade no ensino teórico-prático de Enfermagem. Apresenta como objetivo discutir a relação entre o emprego da MI na disciplina de Semiologia e sua aplicabilidade no ensino prático de Semiotécnica de Enfermagem II. A metodologia foi qualitativa, com análise para traçar o perfil dos sujeitos, 25 graduandos de enfermagem, com base em variáveis pré-determinadas e, posteriormente análise de conteúdo, a partir da categorização dos discursos coletados. Os resultados permitiram a emergência de cinco categorias. A partir destas categorias foi possível o nucleamento de idéias: a multimídia interativa contribuindo na correlação do ensino teórico-prático de Semiologia e Semiotécnica de Enfermagem II. ABSTRACT This investigation is a descriptive explorative study that analyses the use of interactive multimedia (IM) as a pedagogic resource in Semiology and the application in nursing education. Its objective is to discuss the relation of the use of the IM in the course of Semiology and its application in the practical training of the course Nursing Semiotechnique II. The methodology was qualitative. We began with an analysis to get to know the profile of the interviewees, 25 Nursing students and then an analysis of the content of the discussion categories of the speeches. The results were divided into five categories: The contribution of the IM in the assimilation of the theoretical content of Nursing Semiology; IM, the correlation of the theory with the practice of Semiology in the improvement of Nursing care; the interaction proceeding from the visualization of the theoretical content of Semiology by means of interactive multimedia; the distance between the theoretical content of Semiology and its application in teaching/learning in Nursing, and the inaccessibility of the Nursing student to the new education technologies as a barrier to the teaching/learning process. 155. OCORRÊNCIA DE LEUCOSE ENZOÓTICA BOVINA NA FORMA DE LINFOSSARCOMAS NO DISTRITO FEDERAL: RELATO DE CASO

Abstract

RESUMO Os autores deste trabalho relatam um caso de Leucose Enzoótica Bovina em uma fêmea de 3 anos de idade, atendida no Hospital Veterinário da Universidade de Brasília. O referido animal apresentou achados clínicos característicos da enfermidade como exoftalmia, paresia dos membros posteriores, aumento de linfonodos superficiais e massa endurecida palpável localizada no corno uterino esquerdo. À necropsia foram observadas massas esbranquiçadas, firmes e/ou macias, com formações nodulares ou difusas nos diferentes órgãos como coração, rúmen, útero, pulmão, medula, rins e tecido retro bulbar do globo ocular direito. O hemograma revelou leucocitose com pleomorfismo, citoplasma vacuolizado e presença de plasmócitos flamejantes e já no exame químico do líqüor evidenciou-se uma redução da glicemia. Os achados clínicos associados aos achados de necropsia e resultados laboratoriais contribuíram para se chegar a uma suspeita de Leucose Enzoótica Bovina. ABSTRACT This paper reports a case of enzootic bovine leukosis in a 3-year-old cowtreatedat the Veterinary Hospital of the University of Brasília. This animal presented characteristic clinical findings of the disease like exophthalmia, paresia of the hind legs, growth of superficial lymph nodes, and a hard palpable mass localized inside the left uterine horn. At the necropsy there were observed white masses of hard or soft consistencies with nodular or diffused formation invarious organs like the heart, rumen, uterus, lungs, medulla, kidneys and retro-bulbar tissue behind the right eye. The hematological exam showed leukocytosis with pleomorfism, vacuolated cytoplasm, and the presence of flamejant plasmocytes. The chemical examination of the liquor revealed reduction of the glycemic level. The clinical finding associated with the necropsy findings and laboratorial results contributed to a suspicion of enzootic bovine leukosis.

156. Left Ventricular Contractile Reserve is Associated with Optimal Exercise Hemodynamics in Cf-lvad Patients: A Pressure-Volume Loop Analysis.

Abstract

The majority of patients with continuous-flow left ventricular assist devices (cf-LVADs) experience exertional symptoms despite adequate unloading at rest. We utilized pressure-volume (PV) loops to analyze the hemodynamic effects of exercise at varying pump speeds in stable HeartWare HVAD patients. Data were obtained at baseline pump speed and +400RPM, at rest and during supine cycle ergometry to 45W. PAWP, right atrial pressure (RAP) and mean arterial pressure (MAP) were measured invasively. From derived PV loops, left ventricular end-diastolic pressure (LVEDP) and volume (LVEDV), stroke volume, stroke work (SW), and maximum derivative of left ventricular pressure (dP/dt) were calculated. We also assessed the association between exercise PAWP and admissions for hemocompatibility related adverse events (HCRE). Thirteen patients were assessed, generating 52 PV loops. Exercise significantly increased PAWP (p<0.001) and RAP (p<0.001) but not MAP (p=0.69). Increased pump speed significantly reduced PAWP at baseline (p<0.001) but not during exercise (p=0.08). The change in PAWP during exercise correlated linearly with both change in RAP (p=0.008) and change in MAP (p=0.002). PV loop analysis revealed exercise-induced increase in LVEDP (p<0.001), LVEDV (p=0.001), stroke work (p<0.001), maximum dP/dt (p=0.001), and stroke volume (p=0.007), consistent with increased preload and ventricular contraction. Patients with exercise PAWP <25mmHg had significantly higher stroke work (p=0.010) and greater change in maximum dP/dt (p=0.005) with exercise, compared to those with exercise PAWP >25mmHg. Admissions for HCRE occurred more frequently in the higher PAWP group compared to the lower PAWP group (p=0.015). Patients with optimal exercise hemodynamics under cf-LVAD support have significantly greater left ventricular contractile reserve as measured by PV loops and less admissions for HCRE. Abstract

A genetic model for the genesis of high-grade (more than 65 wt% Fe) Proterozoic, banded iron formation (BIF)-related iron deposits in the Carajas, Iron Quadrangle and Hamersley provinces and Thabazimbi and Krivoy Rog ore fields needs to take into account: (a) the timing of regional metamorphism with respect to the upgrade of BIF to high-grade iron ore; (b) the significance and relationship of the protoore to the hydrothermal alteration minerals and zonation and the process of iron enrichment; (c) the source and oxidation state of the hydrothermal fluids that caused the iron enrichment; (d) the types of geochemical processes that caused the hydrothermal alteration and iron enrichment; and (e) the significance of the widespread carbonatisation of the host rocks as a prerequisite for high-grade BIF-related iron mineralisation. It is argued that a unifying model for high-grade BIF-related iron deposits cannot, at present, adequately explain the geological and geochemical characteristics observed in these deposits, so two end-member models are provided that take into account the diversity of geological and geochemical ore deposit features. A discrete model for the genesis of high-grade, BIF-related iron deposits is based on the interpreted tectonic setting, distinct hydrothermal fluid source of, and processes observed in, major BIF-related iron deposits. The two end-members are Proterozoic deep fault-magmatic (Carajás) type and Proterozoic rift-basin (Hamersley) type.
