169. Real orientations of Lubin–Tate spectra

Abstract

We show that Lubin–Tate spectra at the prime 2 are Real oriented and Real Landweber exact. The proof is by application of the Goerss–Hopkins–Miller theorem to algebras with involution. For each height n, we compute the entire homotopy fixed point spectral sequence for $$E_n$$ E n with its $$C_2$$ C 2 -action given by the formal inverse. We study, as the height varies, the Hurewicz images of the stable homotopy groups of spheres in the homotopy of these $$C_2$$ C 2 -fixed points.

Abstract

In reliability analysis of the J-out-of-N system, people usually assume that the lifetime of components in the system follows the exponential, Weibull or gamma distribution. However, this assumption has some limitations in fitting real-life data. Nadarajah–Haghighi distribution has more advantages than exponential, Weibull and gamma distributions in reliability modelling of real data. This paper investigates the reliability analysis of a J-out-of-N system in which the lifetimes of components follow Nadarajah–Haghighi distribution. Based on the generalised progressive hybrid censoring (GPHC) sample, the maximum likelihood estimates (MLEs), and the asymptotic confidence intervals of unknown parameters and the reliability function of the system are obtained by using the numerical procedure and asymptotic normality theory of MLEs, respectively. The Bayesian estimates under squared error loss are derived using the Tierney–Kadane's (T–K) method. Furthermore, the Bayesian credible intervals are constructed based on Metropolis–Hastings method. Monte Carlo simulations are carried out to evaluate the performance of the proposed estimation methods. Finally, two real data sets are analysed for illustrative purposes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

We provide a new method to compute the (homotopy) fixed-points of the permutation action on HF2∧HF2 by relating it to Real bordism. More precisely, we identify the C4-pullback of the C2-spectrum NC2eHF2 with a localization of NC4C2MUR. This allows us to use the localized slice spectral sequence for the computation of πC2★NC2eHF2. From this, we compute the first eight homotopy groups and deduce an infinite family of differentials in the homotopy fixed point spectral sequence.

Abstract

We show a number of Toda brackets in the homotopy of the motivic bordism spectrum MGL and of the Real bordism spectrum MUR. These brackets are "red-shifting" in the sense that while the terms in the bracket will be of some chromatic height n, the bracket itself will be of chromatic height (n+1). Using these, we deduce a family of exotic multiplications in the π(∗,∗)MGL-module structure of the motivic Morava K-theories, including non-trivial multiplications by 2. These in turn imply the analogous family of exotic multiplications in the π⋆MUR-module structure on the Real Morava K-theories.

191. A Low kTC Noise and Low FPN Reset Method for Pixel in ToF Image Sensor.

Abstract

In this paper, a $256 \times 128$ rolling shutter time of flight (ToF) CMOS image sensor (CIS) with a low kTC noise and low fixed pattern noise (FPN) reset method is presented. The pixel adopting the proposed reset method has two taps and three reset transistors. The two taps enable this ToF image sensor to capture depth image quickly and the three reset transistors ensure reduction of the kTC noise and FPN. This kind of ToF image sensor is implemented in a $0.13~\mu \text{m}$ one-poly four-metal CMOS technology. The physical size of the pixel with the proposed reset method is $10\,\,\mu \text{m}\,\,\times 10\,\,\mu \text{m}$ with a maximum fill factor of 69%. The chip size of the sensor is $4671\,\,\mu \text{m}\,\,\times 3406\,\,\mu \text{m}$. Measurement results show that the proposed reset method for ToF pixel can reduce the kTC noise and FPN at room temperature effectively. The maximum reduction of kTC noise is $394.9 ~\mu \text{V}$. The maximum reduction of FPN is $531.8 ~\mu \text{V}$. Therefore, ToF sensors with the proposed reset method can achieve low thermal noise and high spatial uniformity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
