Absolute Moderate Islam has been explained in Q.S Al-Baqarah verse 145. This provision is arranged in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Religion Number 93 of 2022 regarding the strengthening of religious moderation, which must be done in a directed, systematic, comprehensive, sustainable manner. , targeted and responsible way. The existence of religious moderation is based on strengthening the rights of the community in maintaining tolerance and, prospering community life, as well as preventing the emergence of religious conflicts. This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research with the collection of documentation data taken directly from the office of the District Manager of Nahdatul Ulama Timur Nusa Tenggara and interviews with the Nahdatul Ulama Timur Nusa Tenggara regarding the role that has been carried out and the Muslim and non-Muslim community as actors who respond to the impact of the application Moderate Islam on community life. Data processing through the stages of data inspection, classification, triangulation, data analysis, and conclusions. The results of this study found that the role of Nahdatul Ulama Regional Management in grounding Moderate Islam in the City of Kupang has been proven to be effective with the implementation of the vision and mission with supporting factors, namely the strengthening factor of Ukhuwah Islamiyah, the strengthening factor. Brotherhood of Insaniyah and factors that strengthen the relationship between religious leaders.

Community action is broadly recognised as central to comprehensive and effective system responses to pandemics. However, there is uncertainty about how and where communities can be best supported to bolster long-term resilience and preparedness. We applied a typology of community interventions (Community Informing, Consulting, Involving, Collaborating or Empowering-or CICICE) to cover the diverse range of interventions identified across the literature and used this to structure a scoping review addressing three linked topics: (i) how CICICE interventions have been understood and applied in the literature on epidemic and pandemic preparedness; (ii) the spectrum of interventions that have been implemented to strengthen CICICE and (iii) what evidence is available on their effectiveness in influencing preparedness for current and future emergencies. We drew on peer-reviewed and grey literature from the HIV (from 2000) and COVID-19 pandemics and recent public health emergencies of international concern (from 2008), identified through systematic searches in MEDLINE, Scopus, the Cochrane Collaboration database, supplemented by keyword-structured searches in GoogleScholar and websites of relevant global health organisations. Following screening and extraction, key themes were identified using a combined inductive/deductive approach. 130 papers met the criteria for inclusion. Interventions for preparedness were identified across the spectrum of CICICE. Most work on COVID-19 focused on informing and consulting rather than capacity building and empowerment. The literature on HIV was more likely to report interventions emphasising human rights perspectives and empowerment. There was little robust evidence on the role of CICICE interventions in building preparedness. Evidence of effect was most robust for multi-component interventions for HIV prevention and control. Much of the reporting focused on intermediate outcomes, including measures of health service utilisation. We put forward a series of recommendations to help address evidence shortfalls, including clarifying definitions, organising and stratifying interventions by several parameters and strengthening evaluation methods for CICICE.

Introduction Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are rising in low-income and middle-income countries, including Malawi. To inform policy-makers and planners on the preparedness of the Malawian healthcare system to respond to NCDs, we estimated NCD service readiness in publicly financed healthcare facilities in Malawi.Methods We analysed data from 564 facilities surveyed in the 2019 Harmonised Health Facility Assessment, including 512 primary healthcare (PHC) and 52 secondary and tertiary care (STC) facilities. To characterise service readiness, applying the law of minimum, we estimated the percentage of facilities with functional equipment and unexpired medicines required to provide NCD services. Further, we estimated permanently unavailable items to identify service readiness bottlenecks.Results Fewer than 40% of PHC facilities were ready to deliver services for each of the 14 NCDs analysed. Insulin and beclomethasone inhalers had the lowest stock levels at PHC facilities (6% and 8%, respectively). Only 17% of rural and community hospitals (RCHs) have liver and kidney diagnostics. STC facilities had varying service readiness, ranging from 27% for managing acute diabetes complications to 94% for chronic type 2 diabetes management. Only 38% of STC facilities were ready to manage chronic heart failure. Oral pain medicines were widely available at all levels of health facilities; however, only 22% of RCHs and 29% of STCs had injectable morphine or pethidine. Beclomethasone was never available at 74% of PHC and 29% of STC facilities.Conclusion Publicly financed facilities in Malawi are generally unprepared to provide NCD services, especially at the PHC level. Targeted investments in PHC can substantially improve service readiness for chronic NCD conditions in local communities and enable STC to respond to acute NCD complications and more complex NCD cases.

The objective of this study is to investigate the implementation of the electronic community complaint service, known as e-AduMas, in villages utilizing SMS Gateway and GSM network technologies. The research aims to evaluate both the technological readiness of village offices using COBIT 4.1 and the community's acceptance of the e-AduMas system. The study employs a comprehensive research methodology that includes the analysis of community needs, the design of the e-AduMas system, the development of an integrated SMS Gateway application with the village government platform, and field testing involving active participation from the village community. Data will be collected through surveys, interviews, and observations to assess the level of implementation success, user response, and technical feasibility. The anticipated outcomes of this research include practical guidance for other villages looking to construct similar systems to enhance citizen participation in local governance. This study is poised to make a significant contribution to the application of technology in village governance, specifically in the development and utilization of the e-AduMas service. The findings of this research are expected to provide valuable insights for strengthening citizen engagement in local governance through innovative technological solutions.

The field of space weather research has witnessed growing interest in the use of machine learning techniques. This could be attributed to the increasing accessibility of data, which has created a high demand for investigating scientific phenomena using data-driven methods. The dataset, which is based on bibliographic records from the Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus, was compiled over the last several decades and discusses multidisciplinary trends in this topic while revealing significant advances in current knowledge. It provides a comprehensive examination of trends in publication characteristics, with a focus on publications, document sources, authors, affiliations, and frequent word analysis as bibliometric indicators, all of which were analysed using the Biblioshiny application on the web. This dataset serves as the document profile metrics for emphasising the breadth and progress of current and previous studies, providing useful insights into hotspots for projection research subjects and influential entities that can be identified for future research.

The current study looks at how the Kratzer confinement potential affects the linear, third-order nonlinear, and total optical absorption coefficients (ACs) of a single electron in a multilayered spherical quantum dot (MSQD) by using the finite element method within the effective mass approximation. The variation of the transition energy has been investigated for two allowed transitions, 1p-2s and 2s-2p. Furthermore, we investigated the variation of the linear, third-order nonlinear, and total optical absorption coefficients as a function of the incident photon energy for several transitions while accounting for the effect of the Kratzer confinement potential. The findings show that the optical ACs and transition energy are strongly influenced by the Kratzer confinement potential.

AbstractThe widespread availability of cheap, mass-produced balloons puts a strain on the financial and manufacturing capacities of most aerial interception systems. In the past, high-altitude guided balloons that were between 65,000 ft (19.812 m) and 95,000 ft (27.432 m) in the air have been destroyed successfully by modifying bombers and airplanes to use a high-power laser system. High Altitude Long Endurance (HALE) Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) with laser systems are also on the market. Nevertheless, the cost to produce and maintain these systems is extremely high. A very cost-effective alternative is to create a mini—Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Interceptor (UAVI) that can intercept and bring down a balloon at a height of 65,000 ft (19.812 m) and has a Maximum Take Off Weight (MTOW) under 100 kg. To enable mass production, the UAVI should make use of readily available components and a simplified carbon fibre reinforced polymers (CFRP) structure. The vehicle also has a commercial microjet engine with an appropriate air intake and nozzle. This paper introduces the design of a cost effective UAVI to minimize the cost this analysis starts from existing, off-the-shelf Radio Commanded (RC) models. An ad-hoc design was then compared.

This study reports on the geotechnical characterization of lateritic soils upon basaltic rocks in Dschang, West-Cameroon. Six (06) soil samples from six (06) sites were taken for assessing their suitability in good quality CEB manufacturing. An analytical approach was adopted and consisted of standard physical and mechanical properties including water content, absolute density, Atterberg limits, grain size distribution and Optimum Proctor Modified (OPM). Mineralogical and geochemical contents of the materials were obtained by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) respectively. In addition, density, water absorption, abrasion resistance, and dry and wet compressive strengths were determined for manufactured brick specimens. Results indicate that the materials are rich in kaolinite (33–38%), gibbsite (21–27%) and goethite (22–26%) associated to low proportions of smectites (2–7%) and oxides such as hematite, ilmenite, anatase and bohmite. SiO2 (29.57–35.8%), Al2O3 (22.72–26.93%) and Fe2O3 (20.67–27.95%) are the most abundant oxides while basic cations are generally low in the materials (WIP: 2.25–5.89). The absolute density varies from 2.26 to 2.57 t/m3 and could be indicative of higher Fe2O3 contents. The plasticity index (7.80–18.95%) and the liquidity limit (57.80–64.50%) of materials allow their classification as inorganic silt and organic clay with high plasticity and compressibility that are not suitable for the production of CEB. Furthermore, these materials fall out the preferential plasticity domain recommended by Cameroonian standard for CEB. Based on grain size distribution, the studied materials also fall out the sprindle reference of the Cameroonian standard. For improving the characteristics of studied materials, a grain size correction was performed and provided an optimal mixture made up of 75% natural materials and 25% medium sand (0.05–0.5 mm) that is locally available. This is accompanied by considerable variations of consistency parameters allowing to pass from inorganic silt and organic clay to inorganic clay that display appropriate compressibility and plasticity for good quality CEB production. The using of cement at 4%, 6% and 8% revealed a progressive increase of the MDD (1.40–1.77%) and Wopt (12.60–28.39%). Moreover, the density and mechanical parameters of the manufactured specimens increase with the cement content. The density, physical and mechanical properties of the manufactured specimens fall within the Cameroonian standard of compressed earth bricks (CEB). Globally, the lateritic materials of Dschang improved with sand (25%) and Cement (8%) can be suitable for the production of good and low-cost CEB especially as the two additional materials are locally available and accessible.

Comprehensive modeling of a whole cell requires an integration of vast amounts of information on various aspects of the cell and its parts. To divide and conquer this task, we introduce Bayesian metamodeling, a general approach to modeling complex systems by integrating a collection of heterogeneous input models. Each input model can in principle be based on any type of data and can describe a different aspect of the modeled system using any mathematical representation, scale, and level of granularity. These input models are 1) converted to a standardized statistical representation relying on probabilistic graphical models, 2) coupled by modeling their mutual relations with the physical world, and 3) finally harmonized with respect to each other. To illustrate Bayesian metamodeling, we provide a proof-of-principle metamodel of glucose-stimulated insulin secretion by human pancreatic β-cells. The input models include a coarse-grained spatiotemporal simulation of insulin vesicle trafficking, docking, and exocytosis; a molecular network model of glucose-stimulated insulin secretion signaling; a network model of insulin metabolism; a structural model of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor activation; a linear model of a pancreatic cell population; and ordinary differential equations for systemic postprandial insulin response. Metamodeling benefits from decentralized computing, while often producing a more accurate, precise, and complete model that contextualizes input models as well as resolves conflicting information. We anticipate Bayesian metamodeling will facilitate collaborative science by providing a framework for sharing expertise, resources, data, and models, as exemplified by the Pancreatic β-Cell Consortium.

Structural analysis of host-pathogen protein complexes remains challenging, largely due to their structural heterogeneity. Here, we describe a pipeline for the structural characterization of these complexes using integrative structure modeling based on chemical cross-links and residue-protein contacts inferred from mutagenesis studies. We used this approach on the HIV-1 Vif protein bound to restriction factor APOBEC3G (A3G), the Cullin-5 E3 ring ligase (CRL5), and the cellular transcription factor Core Binding Factor Beta (CBFβ) to determine the structure of the (A3G-Vif-CRL5-CBFβ) complex. Using the MS-cleavable DSSO cross-linker to obtain a set of 132 cross-links within this reconstituted complex along with the atomic structures of the subunits and mutagenesis data, we computed an integrative structure model of the heptameric A3G-Vif-CRL5-CBFβ complex. The structure, which was validated using a series of tests, reveals that A3G is bound to Vif mostly through its N-terminal domain. Moreover, the model ensemble quantifies the dynamic heterogeneity of the A3G C-terminal domain and Cul5 positions. Finally, the model was used to rationalize previous structural, mutagenesis and functional data not used for modeling, including information related to the A3G-bound and unbound structures as well as mapping functional mutations to the A3G-Vif interface. The experimental and computational approach described here is generally applicable to other challenging host-pathogen protein complexes.

In the non-homologous end-joining (NHEJ) of a DNA double-strand break, DNA ends are bound and protected by DNA-PK, which synapses across the break to tether the broken ends and initiate repair. There is little clarity surrounding the nature of the synaptic complex and the mechanism governing the transition to repair. We report an integrative structure of the synaptic complex at a precision of 13.5 Å, revealing a symmetric head-to-head arrangement with a large offset in the DNA ends and an extensive end-protection mechanism involving a previously uncharacterized plug domain. Hydrogen/deuterium exchange mass spectrometry identifies an allosteric pathway connecting DNA end-binding with the kinase domain that places DNA-PK under tension in the kinase-active state. We present a model for the transition from end-protection to repair, where the synaptic complex supports hierarchical processing of the ends and scaffold assembly, requiring displacement of the catalytic subunit and tension release through kinase activity.
