Abstract

Given a strictly increasing sequence $\Lambda=(\lambda_n)$ of nonegative real numbers, with $\sum_{n=1}^\infty \frac{1}{\lambda_n}<\infty$, the M\"untz spaces $M_\Lambda^p$ are defined as the closure in $L^p([0,1])$ of the monomials $x^{\lambda_n}$. We discuss how properties of the embedding $M_\Lambda^2\subset L^2(\mu)$, where $\mu$ is a finite positive Borel measure on the interval $[0,1]$, have immediate consequences for composition operators on $M^2_\Lambda$. Abstract

Suppose $\mathcal{H}$ is a weighted Hardy space of analytic functions on the unit ball $\mathbb{B}_n\subset\mathbb{C}^n$ such that the composition operator $C_\psi$ defined by $C_{\psi}f=f\circ\psi$ is bounded on $\mathcal{H}$ whenever $\psi$ is a linear fractional self-map of $\mathbb{B}_n$. If $\varphi$ is an involutive Moebius automorphism of $\mathbb{B}_n$, we find a conjugation operator $\mathcal{J}$ on $\mathcal{H}$ such that $C_{\varphi}=\mathcal{J} C^*_{\varphi}\mathcal{J}$. Abstract

Objective. Cosmetic procedures are popular in the world and practiced by both male and female. The origin of Botox is botulinum toxin of Clostridium botulinum, two main commercial types of botulinum (A and B) have been used in cosmetic clinics. The present study studied the distribution of the women according to types of cosmetic procedures, age groups, marital status, job status, and their knowledge about these procedures and its side effects. Methods. A total of 100 women were included with age group between (≤30 - >30) years. 54 (54%) have obtained cosmetic procedures (Botox, Filler, and plasma injections) while 46 (46%) have not obtained any cosmetic procedure. Platelets rich plasma was done by cosmetic specialized physician in private cosmetic clinic by using (Regen Kit BCT A-PRP). Platelets count was done in private Hematology laboratory by specialized Hematology physician. The device used for platelet count was (System XS 500). Collected data was subjected to statistical analysis by using SPSS version 20. Results. 51.85% women obtained their cosmetic procedures at a doctor clinic, (37.04%) at a Beauty Salon, and (11.11%) at both doctor clinic and Beauty Salon. Women within age group (≤30), (12%) have Botox only, (20%) have Filler only, (20%) have plasma injections only, (32%) Botox and Filler, (16%) have Botox, Filler, and plasma injections. 24.14% of women within age group (> 30), have Botox only, (6.90%) have Filler only, (13.79%) have plasma injections only, (31.03%) Botox and Filler, (6.90%) have Botox and plasma injections, (17.24%) have Botox, Filler, and plasma injections. Platelets count in PRP samples in stage 1 sample from woman no.1 was 373 × 109 /L, while in (stage 2) sample was 724 × 109 /L. Platelets count in whole blood of woman no.1 was (202 × 109 /L). Platelets count in stage 1 sample from woman no.2 was 413x 109 /L, while in (stage 2) sample was 808 × 109 /L, Platelets count in whole blood of woman no.1 was 320 × 109 /L. There was statistically significant increase in platelets count in stage 1 and stage 2 in both samples (P-value=0.05). Conclusions. Women within age group (≤30) prefer to do cosmetic treatment even if they do not need that. Many women have awareness and confidence in doing these cosmetic treatments in doctor clinic rather than beauty salon. PRP platelets count indicated that using (Regen Kit BCT A-PRP) was successful in obtaining concentrated PRP from woman’s blood sample, comparing with the normal platelets count in whole blood. Results also explained that increasing the speed and period of centrifugation in the method of (Regen Kit BCT A-PRP) might give high concentrate of PRP. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

With the advancement in technology in the recent past and the automation of industrial processes, the field of robotics has evolved significantly. Most of the processes on the industrial level and in aerospace sector are being done with the help of robots and robotic arms. Due to this, the strength and structural integrity of robots has become a critical topic for investigation. This study evaluates structural analysis and cost analysis to produce a connecting rod for an articulated robotic arm using Steel and Aluminium alloys. The model of a connecting rod is created in the SOLIDWORKS® whereas the simulation is done on ANSYS® at three-moment values i.e. 500 Nm, 600 Nm and 700 Nm respectively. 5 Steel alloys (i.e. 304L Stainless Steel, annealed 310 Stainless Steel, annealed 316L Stainless Steel, quenched 410 Stainless Steel and annealed 446 Stainless Steel) and 5 Aluminium alloys (i.e. Aluminium alloy 5052-H32, Aluminium alloy 5086-H34, Aluminium alloy 6061-T8, Aluminium alloy 6063-T83 and Aluminium alloy 7075-T76) are used for simulation. Deformation, strain and stress values for each alloy are calculated at the aforementioned moment values. The cost analysis is done based on the volume of the connecting rod and the material required to produce that connecting rod. The results showed that annealed 310 Stainless Steel is the best choice among the analyzed alloys for enhanced strength and reduced deformation. On the other hand, 5086 Aluminium alloy is economical for the production of connecting rods but its strength is much lower than that of Steel. 304L Steel alloy is economical and deformation closer to 310 Stainless Steel alloy but its factor of safety is significantly less than that of 310 Stainless Steel. So, the optimal material for the production of a connecting rod for an articulated robotic arm is 310 Stainless Steel. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Cocrystallization is an emerging approach for improving physico-chemical characteristics of an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) for instance dissolution rate, solubility, stability in addition to mechanical properties without affecting their therapeutic activity. It is of great importance when other approaches like salt or polymorph formation do not encounter the estimated targets. In this review article, an outline of pharmaceutical cocrystals will be presented, with highlighting on factors affecting cocrystallization which include ∆pKa, donors and acceptors hydrogen bonds, molecular recognition point, synthon forming functional groups flexibility, dicarboxylic acid coformers carbon chain length and solvent effect, as well as and the methods for cocrystal preparation. Additionally, cocrystal characterization, dissolution pattern as well as the commercially available products were discussed.

Abstract

Three-dimensional finite element analyses have been carried out to investigate the influence of existing gutters on the rutting of asphalt concrete pavement. Three models were built using the finite element program ABAQUS ver.6.14.4. to simulate the response of a two-way road with a typical lane width of 2.5 m under dynamic loading. Three cases were considered for the road model. The first model is with a gutter, the second model without a gutter and a drop off the edge, and the third one without a gutter but with a drop off the edge. The result showed that the existing gutter beside the asphalt layer decreases the value of deformation, rutting, and lateral displacement by about 4.84%, 3.45%, and 9.10% less than the road without a gutter without a drop off the edge, respectively, and about 13.30%, 11.11%, and 25.90%, respectively less than the pavement road without gutter with an excessive drop off the edge of the asphalt layer. Abstract

A typical soil-structure interaction concern is called scour. In consideration of current climate change, an increase in the frequency of floods and the severity of these flood disasters would increase the danger of bridge collapse. Complex piers (CPs) are the foundation for hydraulic and coastal constructions that consist of a pile group, pile cap, and column. The current research investigated the development of scour holes surrounding CPs to forecast the eventual scouring depth at the bridge foundation. This research also attempts to summarize the present state of understanding the effects of different parameters on the local scour. The review begins by introducing some basic concepts and terminology of scour before detailing the key relationships between parameters that are understood to influence the scour process. A summary of the current status of the inquiry into local scour at complicated bridge piers in cohesive bed material has been provided. Scour mechanism and processes in non-cohesive and cohesive soil at complicated bridge piers.
