Mokinio rašinio vertinimas - vienas problemiškiausių dalykų, tačiau nė viena normali Vakarų šalis šio egzaminavimo būdo neatsisako. Ieškoma įvairių galimybių, kaip teksto vertinimą padaryti kuo objektyvesnį. Menkas suraminimas, žinoma, bet gal kitaip atrodys ir savos problemos, žinant platesnį kontekstą. Vertinimas, kaip žinote, gali būti kriterinis (tai dalyko išmanymo vertinimas - visi mokiniai, pasiekę tam tikrą lygį, vertinami vienodai) ir norminis (mokinių lyginimas tarpusavyje pagal tam tikras normas - pvz., tu esi 25-tas iš 560-ies). VBE vertinimas yra norminis, nes V B E esmė - mokinių reitingavimas (garsusis „varpelis" - norminė kreivė). Deja, teksto turinį vertinti pagal norminį vertinimą sudėtinga. Turinio vertinimas iš esmės yra kriterinis (be to, daugiau nei 5 lygių neįmanoma aprašyti), taigi norėdami būti objektyvūs turėtume „sujungti" kriterinį ir norminį vertinimą. The article describes how to prepare for evaluating objectively the contents of compositions in the state final examinations. The first step is to determine the level of composition. After that the criteria for determining the level of the contents of a certain topic, i.e., designing of contents levels according to the concepts of a concrete topic, have been discussed.

Straipsnyje nagrinėjami žodinės istorijos taikymo bendrojo lavinimo mokykloje aspektai. Remiantis užsienio autorių publikacijomis siekiama bendrais bruožais apibūdinti žodinės istorijos raidą bei sampratą. Aptariama žodinės istorijos specifika ir kiek ši istorijos tyrimo kryptis yra aktuali mokiniams. Pagrindinis publikacijoje nagrinėjamas klausimas – kokią naudą mokantis istorijos bendrojo lavinimo mokykloje teikia žodinė istorija moksleivių žinioms plėtoti(s) ir gebėjimams ugdyti(s). The article investigates some aspects of the application of oral history teaching in secondary schools. On the basis of the publications by foreign authors, the author of the article aims to characterize the conception and development of oral history. The essence of oral history is interviewing people by a historian (or some other person). Oral history gained popularity in the 5th–7th decades of the 20th century in the USA, Great Britain, later – in some other countries. This method was mainly applied while investigating life histories of people from lower social groups. Therefore, oral history acquired the image of "people’s history", "leftist" or democratic history. The article discusses specific character of oral history and its relevance to pupils. The major issue analyzed in the article is the importance and relevance of oral history teaching for the expansion of pupils’ knowledge and the formation and development of their skills. The author emphasizes a significant educational role of oral history. First, it helps pupils to expand their knowledge about past events which they cover during their history lessons; second, oral history helps pupils to develop research skills; third, it adds to the elaboration of the writing skills; fourth, it develops pupils’ critical thinking; fifth, oral history involves pupils into the process of history learning; sixth, it helps pupils to establish personal links with the past and the life of a local community; seventh, oral history encourages the development of interpersonal communication and contacts.

Straipsnyje aptariama vertybinių nuostatų svarba ugdant kompetencijas, gilinamasi į mokytojų vertybinių nuostatų įgyvendinimą ugdymo procese. Ji atskleidžiama per mokytojų savijautos mokykloje kokybinę ir kiekybinę analizę. Ryškinama, kokios vertybinės nuostatos daugiausia įkūnijamos kasdienėje veikloje, į ką daugiausia reikėtų kreipti dėmesį, siekiant tobulinti mokytojų vertybines nuostatas. Competence development is an urgent problem, which is closely related to value principles of teachers. The article analyses materialisation of teacher value principles in the process of education. The study is based on researches into teachers' self-feeling applying quantitative / qualitative data analysis. The findings show that teachers' valuebased principles have very weak links with supreme values that emphasise personality education: they focus on such components of education process as learning motivation, achievements, learners' work, assessment, teaching load, etc. Though it can be concluded that supreme values are important for the majority of educators, they function at the generalised level and remain in the position of accidental factor in education. The employment of new education technologies, competence of school principles and learning motivation also raise a certain concern. Its low level is an outcome not only of psychological, social, economic, political and other factors but also of personal and subject- related attitudes that directly actualise learning. The contours of teachers' value-based principles are not clearly denned: a) more focus is laid on gnostic values but they are not named; b) the picture of moral values is even more vague; c) aesthetic values are not revealed in the educational process at all. The level of educator's value principles is not enough to ensure a complete full-value education and development of school learners' competences, where a particular place would be allotted to personal and ethic values. Therefore, the initial objective is to evoke educators' value-based attitudes to enable them to meet the education challenges.

Šiame straipsnyje nagrinėjama sportuojančių mokinių adaptacijos klasės kolektyvuose problema. Dažnai sportuojantys mokiniai laikomi problemine grupe, kuri susiduria su itin kontrastingu mokyklos bendruomenės narių požiūriu į juos. Tyrimu siekta nustatyti sportuojančių mokinių statuso klasės kolektyvuose ypatumus, išaiškinti pagrindinius stratifikacijos kriterijus bei juos lemiančius sportuojančių mokinių vaidmens suvokimo ypatumus. Tyrimo rezultatai leidžia teigti, kad sportuojančių mokinių statusą, sunku vertinti vienareikšmiškai - išryškėjo tendencija sportine veikla besidominčius mokinius priskirti arba lyderiaujančioms, arba nepalankiai vertinamoms grupėms. The article analyses the problem of adjustment of pupils going in for sports in class communities. Usually, pupils who are interested in the activities mentioned are considered to be a problematic group which encounters with a quite radical point of view of school community members. The object of the research is peculiarities of the social status of the 5th - 8th form comprehensive school pupils going in for sports in class community. The research aim is to analyse characteristics describing the status of the pupils going in for sports in class community as well as to define the factors which predetermine its peculiarities. The research hypothesis states that the pupils going in for sports are attributed with high status in class community and mostly are valued for achievements in sports activities. Research objectives: to carry out a sociometric research and a questionnaire-based survey; to indicate characterisations of the status of the pupils going in for sports; to find out the factors which predetermine popularity of pupils going in for sports in class and school community. The research was carried out in January, 2007. Pupils of the 5th - 8th forms took part in the research. Research methods: studying of scientific literature, sociometric research, questionnaire-based survey, statistical analysis of research results. After analysing and generalising research data, it was found out that the pupils going in for sports are more often attributed to either the group of leaders or the group of totally ignored pupils. Perhaps, this is caused by striving of the pupils going in for sports to look good, friendliness and obvious social disposition (as the most striking features) or by aggressive and competitive behaviour. Their status changes when moving to upper forms and is dependent upon not only pupils' age but also the attitudes of peers towards sports activiries that prevail in a particular class community. Most often, the character o f roles attributed to those going in for sports is predetermined by their energy and requirements for attention. Girls norice positiveness, energy o f the pupils going in for sports most o f all; whereas boys notice their striving to surprise others by unusual, exceptional behaviour. Teachers highly evaluate optimism of the pupils going in for sports. Members o f school community underline an especially high self-esteem of those pupils. Most often, the pupils going in for sports seek to interest their contemporaries in sports activities and form referent groups of pupils going in for sports. At school, the situation o f the pupils going in for sports is evaluated as a problematic one due to their learning difficulties which are tried to be compensated by organisational abilities, provision of assistance and support to other pupils.

Nemaža dalis vaikų, besimokančių mokykloje, turi specialiųjų poreikių, jiems būtina kompleksinė pedagoginė, psichologinė ir socialinė pagalba. Tokios pagalbos organizavime svarbus vaidmuo tenka ne tik mokyklai, bet ir mokinio šeimai. Straipsnyje analizuojamas tėvų požiūris į socialinės pedagoginės pagalbos organizavimo efektyvumą ir jos poreikį. Tyrimu siekta atskleisti tėvų nuomonę į pedagoginės, psichologinės, socialinės pagalbos vykdymą ir organizavimą mokykloje. Apklausti 666 tėvai. Atlikus gautų duomenų analizę, nustatyta, kad tėvų nuomone svarbiausios pedagoginės psichologinės problemos mokykloje yra nuovargis dėl didelių mokymosi krūvių, netinkamas mokinių elgesys pamokų metu, tarpusavio konfliktai su kitais mokiniais bei mokytojų nenoras aiškinti papildomai. Pagalbos tėvai dažniausiai kreipiasi į klasės auklėtoją. Nustatyta, kad tėvai gerai informuoti apie klasės auklėtojo, socialinio pedagogo ir psichologo teikiamas pagalbas. Mažiausiai tėvai informuoti apie mokytojo padėjėjo ir specialiojo pedagogo teikiamą pagalbą. Dažniausiai tėvai pagalbos kreipiasi dėl: nemokamo maitinimo, elgesio problemų, mokyklos nelankymo - į socialinį pedagogą; bendravimo, elgesio problemų ir konfliktų atvejais - į psichologą; mokymosi sunkumų - specialųjį pedagogą; elgesio ir auklėjimo problemų, konfliktų - į klasės auklėtoją; kalbos, tarties defektų - į logopedą; mokymosi medžiagos nesupratimo bei elgesio problemų - į mokytojo padėjėją. Klasių auklėtojų, socialinių pedagogų, psichologų suteiktos pagalbos kokybe apklausti tėvai yra patenkinti, mažiau patenkinti mokytojų padėjėjų ir specialiųjų pedagogų teikiamos pagalbos kokybe. Inconsiderable part of children who learn at school have some special needs, they need complex educational, psychological and social assistance. During the organization of such help, an important role falls not only on school but also on the family of pupil. The article analyzes the attitude of parents towards the effectiveness of organization of social educational assistance and its need. The study aimed to reveal the parents’ views on implementation and organization of educational, psychological and social assistance at school. 666 parents have been interviewed. The analysis of obtained data revealed that parents consider the tiredness to be the most important pedagogical and psychological problem at school because of the learning overload, inappropriate behavior of pupils in the classroom, internecine conflicts with other pupils and reluctance of teachers to explain extra. Parents often apply for help to the class teacher. It was found that parents are well informed about the assistance rendered by the class teacher, social educators and psychologists. The least information is given to parents about the assistance rendered by the assistant of teacher and special educator. In most cases the parents ask for help relating to: free meals, behavioral problems, nonattendance of school – to the social educator; communicative, behavioral problems and conflict situations - to the psychologist; learning troubles – to the special educator, behavioral and educational problems and conflicts – to the class teacher; vocabulary, pronunciation defects – to the speech therapist; incomprehension of learning material and behavioral problems – to the assistant of teacher. The parents surveyed are satisfied with the quality of assistance rendered by class teachers, social educators and psychologists; less satisfied with the quality of assistance rendered by the assistants of teacher and special educators.

In this master's paper one can find some defined problems with which the head of the school can come across while bringing up the students value regulations. There you can also see the revealed significance of value bringing in humanistic pedagogy. And the outlook of different Lithuanian and foreign scientists to the school management and its importance towards training the students values. Theoretical and empirical research of students values has been made in various gymnasiums of the Utena region. The results of this research showed what is the influence of the management and school type towards the bringing up students values. The formulated hypothesis of the author has been corroborated, that all the heads of gymnasiums strive to create good conditions for the active value bringing students activities, moral experiences, their emotional satisfaction. All this is carried out by perfecting training content and various forms of activities. Cognitive interests in the gymnasiums of the Utena region are directed not only at the content of the taught subjects, but also at the process of gaining knowledge and skills and applying them into practise. The above mentioned research has shown that the motivation of value training in all gymnasiums is rather high.

The results of the finished research show that the respondents quite often travel in Lithuania with a class (the class friends and teachers). The travels make the people closer to each other, they can have an open communication, to be at unofficial environment, to get to know each other better. In Ignalina NPP region there are many places where it is possible to develop the cognitive tourism of school-children. The main tasks of visiting this region are educational (fixing the knowledge and getting to know) and social (being with friends). Studying the research results it is possible to make a presupposition that most of the pupils don’t care about the information about Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant at the time of choosing a travel. Most of the people are willing to use the researched information and the experience in educational process. During the research it was stated that in Ignalina NPP region the school- children find the circumstances and possibilities for cognitive tourism. Most of them, who arrive from all over the country like it because it’s a mean to experience some special sensations, spiritual contact with nature and cultural heritage, the knowledge and experience that they got - to use willingly in further educational process. Rich tourism resources encourage to get the knowledge about distinctive nature and culture. The nature and cultural environments make the influence to education of school-children. That’s why it is important to use them in education process in a good manner.

Moksleivių nenoras mokytis yra viena aktualiausių problemų mokykloje, kurios atsiradimą lemia daugelis priežasčių. Straipsnyje siekiama išsiaiškinti mokytojų ir mokinių požiūrį į nenoro mokytis priežastis ir pateikti mokytojų ir mokinių požiūrių lyginamąją analizę. Apklausoje dalyvavo 86 respondentai (61 6-8 klasių moksleivis ir 25 pedagogai-dalykininkai). Tyrimo rezultatų analizė atskleidė skirtingus moksleivių ir pedagogų požiūrius į santykius šeimoje: mokinių nuomone, tarp jų šeimos narių dominuoja šilti ir draugiški santykiai, tuo tarpu pedagogų teigimu, daugelyje šeimų vaikai stokoja tėvų dėmesio ir tai veikia mokinių požiūrį į mokymąsi. Nustatyta, kad ugdytinių požiūris į mokymą(si) pozityvus. Didžioji dalis moksleivių pateikė svarių mokymosi būtinumo argumentų: siekį įgyti aukštesnį išsilavinimą, žinių svarbą karjerai, svajonių įgyvendinimo ir pan. Nustatytos tokios pagrindinės nenoro mokytis priežastys: pedagogų požiūriu, tai menkos mokinių pastangos (tingėjimas), neigiama draugų įtaka, per sunki mokymosi programa, nesėkmės moksle ir nepasitikėjimas savimi. Moksleivių požiūriu, tai menkos mokinių pastangos (tingėjimas), nesėkmės moksle, neigiama draugų įtaka, konfliktai su bendraklasiais, neįdomios pamokos. Galima kelti prielaidą, kad viena priežastis dažniausiai neturi įtakos mokymosi motyvacijos silpnėjimui, tačiau keletas jų gali lemti nenorą mokytis. Studying is pupils' purposeful activity, due to which they assimilate the basics of cumulated experience of humanity, acquire abilities and skills in theoretical and practical activities. Unwillingness to study appears at the time when motivation to study weakens and a pupil does not have any aim and point to learn. Reasons for unwillingness to study, first of all, lie in the pupil's personality and individual development. These reasons are, partially, inborn, however, the surrounding environment also has much influence on that. Other reasons for unwillingness to study lie in the family, as here an attitude towards and motivation to learn starts to form. However, one of the most serious factors of unwillingness to study is a negative micro climate, especially if it is conditioned by the parents alcoholism, drug addiction and violence. Another, no less important reason is the behaviour of the teachers and pupils, what conditions pupils' attitude to studying. Indignity, irony, unwillingness to listen to and understand, and other features of poor communication also provoke negative emotions in pupils and weaken their motivation to study. The aim of the present work is to identify attitudes of pedagogues and pupils towards the reasons for unwillingness to study. In the course of the survey 61 pupil from forms 6-8 and 25 educators were questioned. The research showed that, according to the opinion of the pedagogues, the most significant reasons for unwillingness to study are the following: pupils' laziness, friends' negative influence, too difficult learning programs, failure in studies and lack of self-confidence. Pupils named such reasons for unwillingness to study: laziness, failure in studies, friends' negative influence, conflicts with classmates, boring lessons. Summarizing research results it turned out that pedagogues have to know their pupils very well, be able to communicate with them and raise their motivation to study. A safe and attractive learning environment, giving positive emotions and enabling to reach good study results, has to be created for pupils.

Lina Urbienė and Alvyra Galkienė in the article analyze the issue of the effect of social and educational environment on the adaptation of pupils with special educational needs in school. The authors claim that more adaptation-related problems occur in the first forms than in the preschool group. Problems of reluctance to go to school, breaching rules of behaviour and conflicts become evident in the first form. Assumptions can be made that the main reasons why school does not fulfil the expectations of the first-formers are the following: the need for playful education is not met, other children and adults notice their disorders and are not always ready to accept them, the social competence of more than a half of the children with special educational needs is not sufficiently developed, the role of social environment is not important enough. On the other hand, a positive trend occurred that almost all the children with special educational needs got acquainted with the future environment, had visited the school. However, the communication between the preschool group and the school is not sufficient, particularly providing information about the children with special educational needs. Parents lack information on the development peculiarities of six-and-seven year-olds as well as problems of their adaptation in the first form.

Destructive behaviour is recurrent intentional, unprovoked, rude behaviour, used by one child or a group of children in order to cause pain or torture to another child. It is common among school children and is a problem in today’s school. According to this research and some others, school must seek to protect children from destructive behaviour of their contemporaries, which may later grow into criminal nature and violence at home, and it may cause long term harm for its victims. The aim of this work is to reveal peculiarities of expression of children destructive behaviour at basic school and to foresee the guidelines of the solution to this kind of problem. Schoolchildren of fifth-eighth grades and their teachers from Utena basic schools took part in this research (n=249). Schoolchildren who took part in this research agree on the frequency of mockery at schools. The most common forms of destructive behaviour at schools is nicknaming, slandering, pushing one another and fighting. Threatening and ignoring is more common at school, which is situated in the area of private houses. Fighting, pushing one another and damaging things - at school, that is attended by children from poor families. The attitude of the eighth formers towards the frequency of destructive behaviour at school is more pessimistic than the attitude of the fifth formers. The eighth formers more often experience destructive behaviour (nicknaming, slandering and destroying their things) from their classmates. The fifth formers experience destructive behaviour from the schoolchildren of the higher classes. Mocking is very common among the eighth formers in the classrooms while the adults are away. They more often than the fifth formers nickname, slander and ignore. Girls more often than boys indicate that there is mockery, nicknaming, ignoring at school. They also more than boys suffer from destructive behaviour and more often slander. Boys more often than girls fight and destroy things. The opinions of schoolchildren and teachers about the frequency of different forms of destructive behaviour at school and the places of destructive behaviour coincide. The opinions of schoolchildren and teachers differ in frequency of children destructive behaviour. Destructive behaviour is common among schoolchildren irrespective of the size and the place of school. Only the forms of destructive behaviour differ. In conclusion, this research confirms that destructive behaviour among schoolchildren is likely to increase. The research shows that pedagogues lack knowledge of schoolchildren destructive behaviour and its prevention.

Kintant nacionaliniams ugdymo tikslams ir požiūriui į mokymosi prigimtį bei galimybes, keičiasi reikalavimai mokytojų didaktinei kompetencijai. Šiuo metu didaktinės kompetencijos kaitos poreikį lemia naujoji mokymosi teorija, grindžiama konstruktyvizmo bei sociokultūros teorinėmis idėjomis. Straipsnyje nagrinėjami kiekybinio tyrimo rezultatai, atskleidžiami kintantys mokytojo ir mokinio vaidmenį nusakantys veiksniai, kurie tapo iššūkiu mokytojų rengimui. Analizuojami tyrimo duomenys mokytojų ir mokinių vaidmenų Lietuvos mokyklose tema. The requirements to teachers' didactic competence are changing together with changes in the approach to the origin and possibilities of learning as well as in the national aims of education. At present, the need for changes in didactic competence is conditioned by the new theory of learning based upon the theoretical ideas of constructivism and social culture. The paper presents the results of the qualitative study aimed at the elucidation of the changing roles of teachers and pupils on the level of educational practice, and at grounding these factors as a challenge to changes in teacher training. The analyzed findings were obtained from the investigation of which roles of teachers and pupils manifest themselves in Lithuanian schools.

Straipsnyje nagrinėjama Vilniaus krikščionių statybininkų cechų - dailidžių, mūrininkų, puodžių (krosnininkų) - valdymo organizacija ir jos transformacija pasikeitusiomis XIX a. I pusės politinės konjunktūros sąlygomis, vieta miesto ekonominiame gyvenime bei šių korporacinių organizacijų narių kolektyvinės biografijos elementai, tokie kaip municipalinė karjera, teritorinė kilmė, socialinė ir šeimyninė padėtis, giminystės ryšiai, taip pat turtinė situacija. Teigiama, kad Vilniaus mūrininkų ir puodžių cechų organizacinė struktūra, narių tarpusavio santykiai, religinis ir visuomeninis gyvenimas 1795-1850 m. tebebuvo reguliuojami pagal Lenkijos valdovų ir Lietuvos didžiųjų kunigaikščių suteiktas privilegijas ir statutus bei nusistovėjusias tradicijas, tuo tarpu 1811 m. įvestas rusiškas cechų valdymo įstatymas nepadarė didesnės įtakos, kadangi jo nuostatos dažniausiai neprieštaravo minėtiems teisiniams dokumentams. Mūrininkų ir puodžių cechų korporaciniai organizacijos veikimo principai išliko gyvybingi naujai besiformuojančioje ūkinėje konjunktūroje ir užtikrino, nors ir ne taip efektyviai, jos narių interesų atstovavimą santykiuose su valdžios institucijomis ir potencialiais konkurentais. Between 1795 and 1850, the organizational structure, relations among the members, and the religious and social life of the guilds of Vilnius .Christian masons - stonemasons and potters - continued to be further regulated by the charters issued by Polish kings and Lithuanian grand dukes, the statutes and well established traditions. The Russian law on the control of guilds, issued in 1811, did not bring about any major changes since its provisions, as a rule, did not contradict the aforementioned legal documents. The hierarchical model of the professional career - apprentice, journeyman, master - remained unaltered. The economic stagnation that followed Lithuanias incorporation into the Russian Empire contributed to the decline of the number of guild masters and an intense competition between them and non-guild masters. Basing themselves on the Russian law on the control of guilds, the authorities of the gubernia of Vilnius abolished the guild of joiners in the second decade of the nineteenth century, maintaining that the preparation of specialists of this profession did not require such lengthy training. Most stonemason masters and journeymen were arrivals to Vilnius from adjacent towns and lovalities and the inhabitants of the city proper, generally belonging to the estate of the townsmen, and it was only in the middle of the 19th century that the gentry and peasants began taking up their occupation as stonemasons. Their families were not large; the overwhelming majority of them had one or two children. The families differed in terms of property - less than 10 per cent of them were well off and had some possessions in the city, while the material resources of the rest were more of less alike - they could merely rent a room and in exceptional cases a flat or a house on the outskirts. In the developing new economic situation, the principles of the corporate activity of the guilds of stonemasons and potters retained their significance and ensured (although to a lesser degree of efficiency) the representation of their interests in dealing with the governmental authorities and potential rivals.

Reikalavimai mokytojų didaktinei kompetencijai keičiasi kintant požiūriui į mokymosi prigimtį bei galimybes, taip pat kintant nacionaliniams ugdymo tikslams. Šiuo metu didaktinės kompetencijos kaitos poreikį lemia naujoji mokymosi teorija, grindžiama konstruktyvizmo bei sociokultūros teorinėmis idėjomis. Straipsnyje pateikiami kiekybinio tyrimo rezultatai, siekiant atskleisti kintantį mokytojo ir mokinio vaidmenį edukacinės praktikos lygmenyje. Analizuojami duomenys gauti ištyrus, kokie mokytojų ir mokinių vaidmenys pasireiškia Lietuvos mokyklose. This article grounded on teachers didactic competence holds the opinion that a teacher can act essentially in different ways by emphasizing one out of three educational paradigms: influence pedagogy, interaction pedagogy and learning (contortionism position). While carrying out the research 916 teachers and 931 students from different regions of Lithuania were questioned. Referring to the obtained results, the following can be stated: 1. Today teacher's role is linked with responsibility, new requirement to didactic competence and professionalism. Teacher should reflect teachers needs, extract key information, teach students how to learn, how to find information, how to organize their learning. 2. When teachers define their role, they follow interaction pedagogy. They are creating such learning situations where students are able discuss, change their experience. When students define teacher's role, they follow influence pedagogy. Students define teacher as instructor. 3. When teachers define students role, they follow influence pedagogy: students are learning only for better marks, are very passive in teaching-learning process, don't like creative tasks. When students define their role they follow learning pedagogy. They are initiative, responsible; they have their goals for learning. 4. Teacher's and student's roles are evolving. The center of teaching-learning process is student. By defining their role student and teachers are following influence pedagogy or learning pedagogy.

Parodoma, kad korupcija švietime turi lemiamą įtaką formuojant visuomenėje pasitikėjimą valdžia ir savosios švietimo sistemos kokybe. Analizuojama korupcijos pasireiškimas švietimo politikos, Švietimo ir mokslo ministerijos, administraciniu ir mokyklos lygiais. Aptariamos pagrindinės priežastys, skatinančios pedagogus dalyvauti korupciniuose mainuose - ekonominės, socialinės, kultūrinės ir teisinės. Taip pat labiausiai paplitusios kyšininkavimo švietime formos - dovanos mokytojams, favoritizmas ir protegavimas remiantis giminystės ryšiais, šių reiškinių ypatumai. Teigiama, kad visas korupcijos pasireiškimo formas švietimo srityje identifikuoti labai sunku, nes apie kai kurias iš jų nėra žinių dėl jų užslėptumo. Todėl svarbu surinkti kuo daugiau empirinių duomenų apie šį reiškinį, kad būtų galima jį įvardyti ir aiškiau suvokti. This essay is devoted to the problem corruption in education. Corruption in any system is one of the key factors that slow down the country's economical and social development. It harms law implementation and working order of government institutions, of which the country's economical development and confidence in government depends so much.Corruption in education system is special because it denies a substantial human right, stated in Human Rights Declaration (1948) - a right to free, quality and objective education. It's incompatible with the main objective of education, which is to raise citizens respectful to justice and human right. If the education system isn't based on estimation of equal merits and concept of justice, there is a threat to country's social, economical and political future. There are four main levels of expression: in education politics, in ministry of education, administrational and school level. Corruption in all of these levels expresses it self in particular manners. We analyze main reasons of corruption-economical, social, cultural, legal, and of course non-existence of measurable criterion and inadequate organizational structure of educational system. Which exists because of the lack of attention and sanctions and incompetent administration, there is a background for teachers to exploit their status unrestrictedly. The most common bribing forms in education are: presents to teachers, favouritism, protection in relation to links with family. It's noticeable that determination of peculiarity of corruption forms of expression in separate levels of education system requires a sound and purposeful social research.

Straipsnyje analizuojamas atšvaitų panaudojimas kaip vienas iš esminių savisaugos aspektų. Lietuvoje atliktų tyrimų analizė rodo, kad saugaus pėsčiųjų kompetencijos ugdymui mokyklose turi būti skiriamas didelis dėmesys. Kiekvienas mokytojas turėtų atkreipti dėmesį į mokinių elgesį gatvėje, aptarti susidariusias situacijas tiek pamokų metu, tiek ir po jų ar prieš jas. Pabrėžtina, kad vien mokytojo pastangų formuojant vaiko elgesio modelį nepakanka. Didžiulį poveikį vaiko elgesiui daro ir visuomenė, kuri saugaus eismo aspektu dažniau formuoja netinkamus elgesio modelius, negu tinkamus. Tą paliudijo ir atliktas atšvaitų naudojimo tyrimas, kuris buvo viena "Saugaus eismo mokymas mokyklose" tyrimo, Lietuvos Respublikos švietimo ir mokslo ministerijos užsakyto 2007 m., sudėtinių dalių. Tyrimui keltas tikslas - išsiaiškinti 1-4 ir 5-8 klasių mokinių atšvaitų nešiojimą bei taisyklingą ėjimą per gatvę ar kelią. Tyrimu nustatyta, kad atšvaitus nešioja beveik visi pradinių klasių mokiniai. Tai leidžia kelti prielaidą, jog atšvaitų nešiojimas pradinėje mokykloje yra stebimas ir kontroliuojamas procesas. Tačiau jų nešiojimas 5-8 klasėse nėra dažnas, todėl dirbant su vyresniais mokiniais reikia imtis papildomų metodinių priemonių, siekiant paskatinti juos sąmoningai nešioti atšvaitus. Nustatyta, kad mokiniams nėra pakankamai išugdyti saugaus eismo gebėjimai: numatyti rizikingas eismo situacijas; laiku pastebėti ir įvertinti pavojaus šaltinius; susidaryti atitinkamą eismo situacijos vaizdinį; tinkamai veikti - priimti teisingą sprendimą. Tyrimo metu nustatyta, kad atšvaitai mūsų visuomenėje nėra populiarūs, tyrimo duomenys parodo, kad nors ir vykdomos įvairios akcijos, tačiau ne visi atsižvelgia į galimas neatsakingumo pasekmes. The article discusses the use of pedestrian reflectors as one of the essential aspects of self-protection. The analysis of the research results conducted in Lithuania necessitates a particular attention to development of pedestrian safety competence at school. Each teacher should be concerned about school learners' behaviour in the street and they should discuss the current situation. It has to be emphasised that only teachers' efforts are not enough to form child's behaviour model. Child's behaviour is, to big extent, affected by the society, which, unfortunately, is tended to create inappropriate rather than appropriate behaviour models. Such tendency was clearly demonstrated by the research into the situation of pedestrian reflector use, which was an integral part of the research "Safe Traffic Education at Schools". The goal of the research was to investigate wearing/not wearing of pedestrian reflectors and safe/risky crossing of the street among school learners from 1 to 4 and from 5 to 8 forms. [...] It was identified that the absolute majority of primary school learners wear pedestrian reflectors. [...]However, the research revealed that wearing of reflectors is not common among 5th -8th formers and that almost half of them seldom wear pedestrian reflectors. [...] The results showed that the school learners lack safe traffic skills: to identify risky traffic situations; to timely observe and evaluate source of danger; to establish adequate image of traffic situation; to act appropriately: to make a correct decision. It was also established that wearing of pedestrian reflectors is not "popular” in our society. The results of the investigation show that though different safety campaigns are organised, not everybody takes them into consideration.

Adaptacija, kaip reiškinys, išsamiausiai nagrinėta sociologijos, psichologijos ir pedagogikos mokslų. Pereinant prie profiliuoto mokymo atsiveria nauji tryimo plotai, kuriuose (be daugelio ugdymo proceso valdymo problemų) svarbią vietą užima mokinių adaptacijos mokykloje klausimai. Nors ir modernėjančioje mokykloje, bet atsiranda vis daugiau mokinių, kurie sunkiai prisitaiko prie pakitusios mokyklos aplinkos ir išgyvena adaptacijos krizę. Mokytojų vaidmuo mokinių adaptacijos procese yra vienas iš svarbiausių. Jo pareiga – sukurti aplinką, skatinančią intelektinę ir emocinę mokinių sklaidą, sudaryti sąlygas, užtikrinančias sėkmingą adaptaciją naujoje ugdymo situacijoje. Tai priklauso nuo ugdytojo pedagoginių gebėjimų ir ryšio su mokiniais bei jų tėvais. The problems of adaptation accompany the man all his life. The nature of these problems changes depending on different intervals of age and takes the different forms and act different methods for the man’s existence. It influences the biological subjects, social environment, and the man’s communication with environment, what surrounds him. The difficulty in any sphere influences the whole. The process of adaptation is complicated for growing and development child. The entry to school is the beginning of new life and activity, new position in the society, new communications with adults and the same age pupils. It is very important, that a child can express his human essence at school, systematically develop intellectual and other abilities, teach the will, senses, acquire the necessary knowledge and habits, make the system of humane values and successfully go into the society.

Straipsnyje nagrinėjamas UNESCO ugdymo kokybės imperatyvo ir su juo susijusių švietimo politikos rekomendacijų aktualumas ir galimos transformacijos Lietuvoje. Siekta išsiaiškinti, ar aktualus Lietuvos švietimui UNESCO (EFA) šeštasis tikslas -gerinti švietimo kokybę ir ar UNESCO švietimo politikos rekomendacijos perspektyvios gerinant Lietuvos švietimo kokybę? Buvo analizuojami UNESCO švietimo politikos dokumentai, gretinant jų akcentuojamus švietimo kokybės politikos veiksnius su rezultatais, gautais statistiškai apdorojant nacionalinių mokinių pasiekimų tyrimų 2003, 2004 ir 2005 m. duomenis. Rezultatų analizė atskleidė, kad ugdymo individualizavimas yra perspektyvi Lietuvos pradinio ir pagrindinio ugdymo politikos kryptis, galinti padėti pasiekti didelio mokinių pasiekimų pagerėjimo. Neblogų rezultatų galėtų duoti tolesnis mokinių vertinimo ugdymo procese praktikos tobulinimas. Daugiau dėmesio reikėtų kreipti į mokytojų kompetencijos kėlimą, nes potencialiai tai yra viena iš perspektyviausių švietimo kokybės gerinimo priemonių. Mokinių pasiekimai nuo fizinės mokymosi aplinkos mokykloje šiuo metu priklauso palyginti nedaug. Keliama hipotezė, kad fizinės mokymosi aplinkos gerinimas galėtų duoti geresnių rezultatų keliant ugdymo kokybę, jei mokytojai būtų specialiai rengiami dirbti renovuotose ir geriau aprūpintose mokyklose. Analizės rezultatai nesuteikia pagrindo tikėtis, kad mokinių pasiekimus būtų galima per trumpą laiką pagerinti mažinant mokinių skaičių klasėse. Rekomenduojama plėsti tyrimus, siekiant išsiaiškinti, kaip veiksmingiau gerinti mokinių testų rezultatus. The paper focuses on the evaluation of the relevance of UNESCO Education for All (EFA) Dakar goal six (to improve the quality of education) for the education in Lithuania and the viability of applying recommendations of UNESCO education policy in improving the quality of education in Lithuania. Based on the data of the National Students' Achievements' Research carried out in the years 2003, 2004 and 2005, factors determining the quality of general education have been analyzed. The factors are compared with the education quality determinants pointed out in UNESCO documents, i.e. high professional level of teachers, individualization in education, improvement of the quality of education, improvement of physical educational environment, reduction of the number of students per class. The basic conclusion drawn up in the paper is that improvement of quality of student achievement is essential both for basic and secondary education in Lithuania. Currently, student achievement rather insignificantly pertains to the physical educational environment at school. Results of the analysis do not give grounds to believe that students' achievements' might be shortly improved by reducing the number of students per class. Individualization in education, improvement of student evaluation in the process of education and developing teacher competence are considered to be perspective trends of the Lithuanian education policy.

Šiuolaikinė karjeros planavimo paradigma pabrėžia konstruktyvaus mokymosi modelio, kuris atspindėtų besikeičiančius požiūrius į mokymosi transformacijas iš mokymosi turinį, poreikį. Šis konstruktyvus žinių sklaidos principas yra ypatingai svarbus karjeros sprendimus vykdantiems dalyviams: mokiniams, mokytojams, patarėjams ir tėvams. Visi šie besimokančios bendruomenės dalyviai atlieka skirtingus vaidmenis, tačiau jų siekiamas rezultatas yra tas pats: išugdyti jaunų žmonių sėkmingus karjeros planavimo principus, gebėjimus priimti karjeros sprendimus. Į straipsnyje svarstomas problemas žvelgiama besimokančios bendruomenės kontekste. Atlikta mokslinės literatūros analizė atskleidžia konstruktyvizmo teorinius principus, grindžiančius besimokančios bendruomenės sampratą bei mokinių gebėjimų priimti karjeros sprendimus ugdymo bendrojo lavinimo mokykloje konstruktyvistinį modelį. Siekiant ištirti Lietuvos bendrojo lavinimo mokyklų ugdymo dalyvių sąveiką ugdant mokinių gebėjimus priimti karjeros sprendimus, atlikta kokybinė atsakymų į apklausą žodžiu duomenų analizė. Ekspertams atsakius į klausimą „Kaip Jūs padedate savo mokiniams vystyti sprendimų priėmimo gebėjimus?“, išryškėjo aštuonios kategorijos (Pvz. „Į mokinių karjeros sprendimų priėmimo gebėjimų ugdymą įtraukiami tėvai“, „Bendruomenės jausmas ir bendradarbiavimas“, „Pagrindinis tikslas“, „Svarbiausi vaidmenys priimant karjeros sprendimus“, „Procesas“ ir kt.), kurios aiškiai rodo, jog mokinių karjeros sprendimų priėmimas yra bendruomenėje vykstantis procesas, labai artimai susijęs su bendru mokymosi procesu. The contemporary career-planning paradigm highlights the need for co-constructive learning model, which reflects the contents of changing attitudes towards learning transformation. The co-constructive knowledge sharing process is especially important in the process of developing career decision making skills when all participants – pupils, teachers, councillors and parents – though performing different roles learn how to reach the common result: the developed career decision making skills of young people. The aim of the work is to analyse activities of the participants in the career decision-making skills development within the context of the learning society. Typical activities of educators during which the students develop their decision-making skills are providing information, consulting, training-teaching, and enabling. They are all directed towards the development of such pupils’ decision-making sub-skills as self-knowledge, understanding personal learning abilities and gaining knowledge about the external world of work. The content analysis of 9 experts answers to the question” How are you developing your students’ decision-making skills? Distinguished eight categories (e.g.” The reasons to start the development of career decision-making skills”, “The main purpose”, “The Curriculum”, “The main roles of career decision-making”, “Community sense and partnership”, “Parents involvement in the development of pupils’ decision-making skills” and others). The distinguished categories demonstrate that the pupils’ career decision-making is a community process with a clearly expressed inclination towards common learning.

Straipsnyje nagrinėjamos jaunesniojo mokyklinio amžiaus mokinių kompleksinės adaptacijos mokykloje problemos, susijusios su mokinių mokymosi rezultatais, psichologine savijauta mokykloje, populiarumu tarp bendraamžių, vidine dama, saviverte, mokykliniu nerimu, mokymosi motyvacija. Yra išskiriami keturi skirtingos adaptacijos tipai, nagrinėjama dviem dezadaptacijos tipams būdinga vidinės damos struktūra bei berniukų ir mergaičių adaptacijos ypatumai The goal of this investigation was to analyse types of school adaptation among primary school children. Personal (sense of coherence, self-esteem, learning motivation, tests anxiety), interpersonal (relations with peers) characteristics and level of academic achievement were taken into account. Sense of Coherence Scale by Antonovsky (1995) modified by Margalit (1995a) for children, Semantic Differential Type Scales for Self-Esteem and Psychological Well-being in school (Beresnevičienė, 1995), Learning Motivation Scale (Zambacevičienė, Janulytė, 1998), Test Anxiety Scale for Children (Sarason Feld, Levis, by Augis, 1984), Peer Ratings (Sociometric Assessment) by Coie and Dodge (1983) procedure were used as evaluational tools. Information about academic achievement was got from teachers. 366 third and fourth grade children (187 boys, 179 girls) participated in the survey. Cluster analysis showed that primary school boys had more adaptation problems related with low learning motivation and negative attitude to surrounding world in comparison with girls. It was found that children with low level of SOC had more school adaptation problems (low academic achievement, peer rejection) than children with high level of SOC. Analysis of SOC structure showed that children with high self-trust and high life interest but low interpersonal trust and low acceptance of environmental demands had most school adaptation problems

Straipsnyje keliama asmens santykių kaitos problema šiuolaikinės globalizacijos kontekste. Žvelgiant į santykius kaip į galimą dvasingumo dimensiją ir saugumo garantą, aptariama santykio samprata, santykių tipologija ir įvairių santykių tipų reikšmė žmogaus dvasiniam gyvenimui, santykių sąsaja su vertybėmis, vertybių atrankos ir hierarchijos problemiškumas, humaniškumo vieta tarp kitų vertybių. Pasirinkus humaniškumą santykių vertinimo kriterijumi, siekiama atskleisti šiuolaikinių mokinių santykių kaip dvasingumo dimensijos brandos ypatumus. Remiantis 1998 ir 2005 m. tyrimų duomenimis, išryškinamos vyresniųjų mokinių santykių su kitais žmonėmis (tėvais, mokytojais, draugais), su pačiu savimi ir Dievu kaitos tendencijos, taip pat keliamos su tuo susijusios aktualios pedagoginės problemos The article raises the problem of changes in relations in the context of contemporary globalization. Viewing relations as a possible dimension of a person's spirituality and a guarantee of safety, the concept of relationship, the typology of relations and the importance of separate types of relations in a person's spiritual life are presented. [...] On the basis of the pilot research conducted in 1998 and 2005, the tendencies of changes in the relations of upper secondary school (17–18 year old) students with other people (parents, teachers, friends), themselves, and God are highlighted. The data revealed that the students, who were investigated according to the human ness criterion, evaluated their relations with their mother more favorably than with their father. The relations with the mother are considered to be more positive than those with teachers and friends. On the other hand, the relationship with teachers is evaluated slightly more positively than with the father; the importance of relations with friends is higher than those with teachers. Comparing the relations by the type of changes that occur under globalization, certain minor positive changes may be observed: the first one reflects the relations of upper secondary students with friends and mother, the second one with teachers and God. A slightly negative trend partially intermingles with small positive fluctuations. The student's relations with himself do not undergo significant changes, though a slight downward trend is noticed. Thus, the cognition of upper secondary students relationship, observation of their further changes and search for possibilities of their correction are pedagogical problems of high topicality

Straipsnyje apžvelgiama skaitymo ir rašymo ugdymo raida. Pateikiami 2003 metų nacionalinio IV klasės mokinių lietuvių kalbos skaitymo ir rašymo pasiekimų tyrimo rezultatai bei juos įtakojantys veiksniai. Pastebėta skaitymo ir rašymo pasiekimų priklausomybė nuo mokinio gyvenamosios vietovės, namų aplinkos. Aprašyti skaitymo ir rašymo pasiekimų lygmenys, vertinimo parametrai. Tyrimo objektas – ketvirtos klasės mokinių skaitymas ir rašymas lietuvių kalba. Tyrimo tikslas – ištirti ketvirtos klasės mokinių skaitymo ir rašymo pasiekimus bei juos įtakojančius veiksnius. Tyrimo uždaviniai: 1. Nustatyti skaitymo ir rašymo vertinimo parametrus. 2. Pagal nustatytus vertinimo parametrus įvertinti tiriamųjų skaitymo ir rašymo pasiekimus. 3. Išsiaiškinti IV klasės mokinių skaitymo ir rašymo pasiekimų lygmenis ir veiksnius, lemiančius šiuos pasiekimus. Išvados: 1. Tyrimo rezultatų analizė parodė, jog pagal nustatytus vertinimo parametrus daugumos IV klasės mokinių pasiekimai tenkina lietuvių kalbos nacionalinių Išsilavinimo standartų reikalavimus bei atitinka nustatytą pagrindinį lygmenį. 2. Rašymo tyrimas parodė, kad daugiau nei pusė (63,5%) tiriamųjų suprato užduotį, 21,5% ─ ją suprato tik iš dalies, o net 15% tiriamųjų užduoties nesuprato. 3. Nustatyti veiksniai, kurie lemia mokinių pasiekimus. Tai namiškių pagalba mokantis namuose, vaikystėje skaitytų pasakų bei namuose esančių knygų skaičius The article elaborates on the development of training in reading and writing. It contains the results of the national survey of achievements of the fourth-formers in reading and writing in the Lithuanian language of 2003 and affecting factors. Dependence of achievements in reading and writing on the residence place of a pupil and domestic environment is distinguished. Description is provided for the levels of achievements in reading and writing as well as of assessment parameters. The object of the survey is reading and writing in the Lithuanian language of the fourth-formers. The purpose of the survey is to analyse achievements of the fourth-formers in reading and writing and the affecting factors. The goals of the survey: 1. To define reading and writing assessment parameters. 2. On the basis of the defined assessment parameters, to assess the achievements of the concerned in reading and writing. 3. To clarify the levels of achievements of the fourth-formers in reading and writing and the factors which cause such achievements. Conclusions: 1. The analysis of the survey results evidences that, in respect of the defined assessment parameters, the achievements of the majority of the fourth-formers meet the requirements of the national Education Standards of the Lithuanian language and parallel the basic defined level. 2. Survey of writing showed that over half of the concerned (63.5%) understood the task, while 21.5% understood it only partially and even 15% failed to understand it all. 3. The factors which determine achievement of pupil are defined. These include assistance of the family in doing homework, the number of fairytales read in the childhood and of books kept at home.

Straipsnyje analizuojami I-II klasių mokinių, turinčių kalbos sutrikimų, verbalinio kūrybiškumo pokyčiai. Pirmiausia darbe supažindinama su verbalinio kūrybiškumo koncepcija, taip pat pristatyti pagrindiniai tokio amžiaus mokinių su kalbos sutrikimais verbalinio kūrybiškumo ypatumai. Sudarytas jaunesnio amžiaus moksleivių su kalbos sutrikimais verbalinio kūrybiškumo modelis. Remiantis šiuo modeliu sukurta pagrindinių verbalinio kūrybiškumo pasireiškimo atvejų skalė, siekiant įvertinti pagrindinių verbalinio kūrybiškumo požymių svarbą. Šios skalės patikimumas paremtas statistine analize. Faktorių analizės dėka išskirti pagrindiniai verbalinio kūrybiškumo požymiai- iškalba, originalumas ir lankstumas. Skalėje taip pat pažymėtas vidinės koordinacijos išraiškos laipsnis (Cronbach alfa). Straipsnyje pateikti I-II klasių mokinių, turinčių kalbos sutrikimų, verbalinio kūrybiškumo požymiai atspindi ne tik to amžiaus moksleivių ypatumus, bet ir lyties bei gyvenamosios vietos priklausomybę. In this article it was tried to reveal the peculiarities of development of verbal creativeness of I-II classes' schoolchildren having speech disorders. While trying to reach this goal firstly the conception of verbal creativeness was revealed, the main manifestations of verbal creativeness of schoolchildren of this age having speech disorders are singled out. The model of verbal creativeness of schoolchildren of younger age having speech disorders is made. Basing on the created model the scale of the main manifestations of verbal creativeness was made in order to evaluate the significance of the most important manifestations of verbal creativeness, and its (scale) reliability is checked with the help of statistic analysis. With the help of factor analysis the main features of verbal creativeness, that is eloquence, originality and flexibility are being described and singled out. Factor of expressing the degree of internal coordination of the scale of manifestations of verbal expression (Cronbach alfa) is being found. Characteristic of verbal creativeness of I-II classes' schoolchildren having speech disorders is presented in the article. It reflects the peculiarities of verbal creativeness of the studied schoolchildren not only with respect to age, but also to sex and place of residence and during there years.

Straipsnyje aptariama longitiudinio tyrimo, trukusio trejus metus, rezultatai. Jo metu siekta parodyti, kaip keičiasi mokinių jautrus elgesys, remiantis pačių vaikų, jų mokytojų ir nepriklausomo stebėtojo nuomone, pereinant iš pradinio mokyklinio amžiaus į paauglystę. Darbe taikyti mokslinės literatūros, švietimo dokumentų analizė, anketinės mokinių, jų mokytojų apklausos bei stebėjimo, taip pat statistinės duomenų analizės metodai. I tyrimo etape dalyvavo 472 Tauragės m. II, IV klasių mokiniai bei 27 jų mokytojai. II etape – 350 (II-IV kl) mokinių bei 13 jų mokytojų, penktų klasių auklėtojų. III etape dalyvavo 254 (II – IV klasių) mokiniai bei 13 jų mokytojų. Atskleista, kad šio amžiaus mokiniai bendraudami su kitais žmonėmis dažniausiai išklauso, pradžiugina, padeda aplinkiniams, retokai paguodžia, globoja juos. Nustatyta, jog vaikui pereinant iš vaikystės į paauglystę jis ima jautriau elgtis su aplinkiniais The article discusses results of longitudinal research that lasted for three years and aimed to demonstrate how sensitive behaviour changes from the point of view of children, their teachers and independent observers passing from primary school age to adolescence. Methods of scientific literature analysis of educational documents, pupils’ surveys, questionnaires for their teachers and observational methods, as well as analysis of statistical data were applied. A comparison of a child’s and a teacher’s definition of sensitive behaviour revealed different opinions. Children consider their sensitive behaviour a bit better than adults do (hearing out, patronising, cheering). As far as comfort and help, pupils view their conduct even more strictly than the teachers.

Viena didžiausių moksleivių gamtamokslinio ugdymo(si) siekiamybių yra pagarbos gamtai, gyvybei plėtotė, ypač – etiniu-vertybiniu-kognityviniu aspektu. Sąveika su gamta itin menkai tyrinėta Lietuvos moksleivių populiacijoje. Tyrime „Moksleivių sąveikos su gamta ypatumai“ siekta atskleisti esmingiausius ypatumus, kurių pagrindu būtų įmanoma planuoti išsamesnius gilesnius mokslinius tyrimus. Vienas iš šio tyrimo komponentų- moksleivių nuostatos gyvybės išsaugojimo atžvilgiu. Šiame tyrimo duomenų analizės etape pristatomi Lietuvos paauglių- bendrojo lavinimo mokyklos 5-12 klasių mokinių sąveikos su gamta ypatumai nuostatų gyvybės išsaugojimo atžvilgiu aspektu, sutelkiant respondentų dėmesį į kai kuriuos visuomenės stereotipiškai neigiamai arba utilitariškai vertinamus gyvūnus bei nykstančius augalus. Tyrimo duomenų analizė mokinių amžiaus, lyties ir gyvenamosios vietovės aspektu parodė, kaip paauglių nuostatas gyvybės išsaugojimo atžvilgiu veikia minėti demografiniai veiksniai. A major natural science (self-)education aim is developing respect to nature and life, especially in the ethical-cognitive-value aspect. Nature interaction is especially scarcely studied among Lithuanian schoolchildren population. The study “Schoolchildren and nature interaction peculiarities” aimed to disclose the most essential peculiarities based on which deeper and more exhaustive scientific research may be planned. These study components include the schoolchildren attitude to life preservation. The study data analysis presents nature interaction peculiarities of 5-12 grade Lithuanian general education school adolescents in terms of life preservation. Their attitudes are presented focusing respondents on certain animals negatively or consumptively stereotyped by the society, as well as endangered plants. Data analysis of the schoolchildren age, sex and residential place has demonstrated how these factors influence adolescent attitudes to life preservation.

Mokinių estetinės kompetencijos plėtojimas negali būti atsiejamas nuo vizualiosios aplinkos, nuo jos poveikio, todėl ugdymo procese svarbu vertinti ir asmens patirties veikti aplinkoje, ir aplinkos kaip veiksnio ypatybes. Šių ypatybių derinimas ir būtų prielaida nagrinėti mokinių estetinio santykio su vizualiąja aplinka veiksnius. Straipsnyje tyrimas siejamas su globalizacijos procesais, sukuriančiais dinamišką aplinką žmogaus veiklai, kurioje vienas iš pagrindinių dalių yra vizualioji aplinka, jos savybės ir bruožai. Pabrėžiamas asmens estetinis santykis su vizualiąja aplinka ir to santykio aktualinimas edukacinėmis priemonėmis. Pateikiamas sisteminis požiūris į aplinką, jos elementų ryšį su žmogumi, kaip aplinkos subjektu, išryškinant objektinę–subjektinę sąveiką. Akcentuojama aplinkos, kaip daugiasluoksnio reiškinio, sklaida dinamiškai besikeičiančioje žmogaus santykių su aplinka sistemoje. Išskiriami pagrindiniai estetinio santykio su vizualiąja aplinka veiksniai: sociokultūrinis meninio ugdymo aspektas, aplinkos estetizavimas bei mokytojų ir mokinių estetinės sąveikos vizualiosios aplinkos kontekste optimizavimas. Tyrimas suponuoja galimybę vertinti vizualiąją aplinką, kaip gamtinės ir sukurtosios aplinkos reiškinį, pritaikyti jį estetinio santykio su vizualiąja aplinka įtvirtinimui, skatinti estetinę veiklą aplinkoje, atitinkamai orientuojant estetinio ir meninio ugdymo procesą mokykloje. The development of aesthetic competence of schoolchildren can not be separated from visual environment and its influence, therefore in the education process it is important to evaluate both specific features of the person’s experience to act in the environment and of the environment as a factor. The coordination of these specific features forms the presumption to analyse the factors of aesthetic relationship of schoolchildren with visual environment. The research in the article is associated with the globalization processes, creating dynamic environment for human activity, in which one of the basic parts is visual environment, its features and traits. The person’s aesthetic relationship with the visual environment and bringing it up-to-date with the help of educational means is emphasized. The systematic view on the environment, relationship of its elements with the human being, as the subject of the environment, by highlighting the objective-subjective interaction. The spread of the environment as the multilayer phenomenon in the dynamically changing system of human relationships with the environment is emphasized. The main factors of aesthetic relationship with the visual environment are distinguished: socio-cultural aspect of artistic education, bringing environment into aesthetics and optimization of aesthetic interaction between teachers and schoolchildren in the context of visual environment. The research presupposes the possibility to evaluate the visual environment as a phenomenon of the natural and created environment, to adapt it for the consolidation of aesthetic relationship with the visual environment, to encourage aesthetic activities in the environment, respectively orienting the aesthetic and artistic education process at school.

Nagrinėjant kokybinį pamokos vertinimą pagrindžiančią informaciją, auditorių įrašytą pamokos stebėjimo protokoluose, išskiriamos ir aprašomos specialiųjų ugdymosi poreikių turinčių mokinių mokymo vertinimo pagrindimo kategorijos, analizuojant jų turinį ir informatyvumą, siejant tai su kiekybiniu vertinimu The article presents the results of quantitative lesson evaluations during the pilot external audit for school improvement: it gives general statistics of learning quality evaluation of pupils with special learning needs, reveals relations of evaluations of this and other lesson components and shows how lessons of different subjects, different classes and different schools are evaluated from the viewpoint of the aspect in question. Analysis of information justifying qualitative evaluation of the lesson recorded by auditors in lesson observance protocols highlights and describes categories of justification of learning evaluation of pupils with special learning needs analyzing their content and information and linking them with quantitative evaluation.

Straipsnyje analizuojami pradinių klasių mokytojų požiūris į statistinių gebėjimų ugdymą. Siekta išsiaiškinti, kaip jie vertina mokymo priemonių statistikos užduotis, pateikimo aiškumą. Anketomis norėta sužinoti, kaip mokytojai vertina mokinių motyvaciją atliekant užduotis, išsiaiškinti, kokie pagrindiniai statistiniai gebėjimai yra akcentuojami, su kokiais sunkumais susiduria mokiniai ir mokytojai ugdymo procese The article analyzes attitudes of primary school teachers towards development of statistical skills at school. The author has sought to establish teachers’ viewpoint on statistical exercises included in training materials, clarity of their presentation. Questionnaires were used to determine teacher’s assessment of pupils’ motivation in solving exercises, to identify which key statistical skills are emphasized, what difficulties do pupils and teachers face during educational process.

Straipsnyje analizuojami Lietuvos bendrojo lavinimo mokyklų mokinių sąveikos su gamta ypatumai. Tyrime dalyvavo 1787 5-12 klasių mokiniai, besimokantys 25 mokyklose visoje Lietuvoje. Tyrimo dalyviai užpildė anketą, kurioje buvo pateikiami klausimai ir aprašomos elgesio gamtoje ar su įvairiais gamtos objektais situacijos. Išanalizavus gautus rezultatus nustatyta, kad dauguma bendrojo lavinimo mokyklų mokinių yra tiesiogiai stebėję agresyvų ar nepagarbų elgesį su gamtos objektais. Tokį elgesį tyrimo dalyviai vertina neigiamai: žmonių, kurie agresyviai elgiasi su gamtos objektais, atžvilgiu išsakomas gailestis, pasibjaurėjimas, agresyvumas. Mokinių atsakymai reikšmingai skiriasi priklausomai nuo lyties ir gyvenamosios vietos (miestas/kaimas). Mergaičių atsakymuose atsispindi platesnis požiūris į problemą, gilesnis neigiamo poveikio gamtai supratimas. Vertinimuose dominuoja gailestis, pasibjaurėjimas, baimė, jos norėtų aiškinti, mokinti tokius žmones. Berniukų atsakymuose dominuoja gailestis ir agresyvumas, keršto motyvas. Jie norėtų, kad agresyviai su gamtos objektais besielgiantys žmonės patys susidurtų su tokiais veiksmais, remdamiesi principu „akis už akį, dantis už dantį“. Gyvūnų kankinimas neigiamai vertinamas visų mokinių, tačiau mieste gyvenantys tyrimo dalyviai labiau tolerantiški nepagarbiam elgesiui su gamtos objektais. Nepagarbus elgesys su negyvosios gamtos objektais daug dažnesnis tų mokinių tarpe, kuriems būdingas pragmatinis požiūris į gamtą. It seems logical to stimulate the young generation's wish to protect and love nature. The negative outcomes for today's natural environment such as soil pollution animate and inanimate nature devastation etc. can be clearly noticed. Due to computers, robots and various kinds of technologies, humans have virtually lost their interrelation with nature. Our inability to kindly interact with nature can be treated as an obvious result of unacceptable behaviour. Consequently, ecology based education is a crucial aspect of socialisation and has an enormous influence on the young generation, because a modern society is deeply influenced by the approach to nature, the natural environment and behaviour towards it. However, we must understand modern human manners of interaction with nature and the ways affecting behaviour. The authors agree that only in-depth assessment of the mechanisms of interaction with nature can provide opportunities to apply the means of educational correction when training the young generation. The article deals with the characteristics of the learners' (forms 5 to 12) interaction with nature in terms of behavioural situations.

Straipsnyje identifikuojamos ir gretinamos skirtingos kalbinės aplinkos - vienkalbės ir daugiakalbės - 7-mečių, 12-mečių ir 18-mečių mokinių žodinės asociacijos gimtąja (lietuvių) kalba. Atlikta žodinių asociacijų gretinamoji analizė pagal šiuos parametrus: asociacijų turinį, atsakymų pasiskirstymą pagal gramatines kategorijas, atsakymų stereotipiškumą. The article investigates into the characteristics of verbal associations given in native language by 7-, 12- and 18-year old student participants. A comparison of associations produced by participants of the same age was performed in terms of association contents, verbal stimulus, grammatical bond between a word-stimulus and a response, and stereotypy. Results revealed that verbal associations given by same age participants from different linguistic environments differed in terms of association contents, distribution of associates by grammatical classes (except responses by 12- and 18-year olds), and stereotypy of reactions (except responses by 7-year olds).

Tyrinėjimo objektas: moksleivių tautinės savimonės ugdymas etnine muzika. Tikslas: nustatyti etninės muzikos veiksmingumą ugdant moksleivių tautinę savimonę. Uždaviniai: įvertinti moksleivių ir muzikos mokytojų požiūrį į etninės muzikos tęstinumą bei moksleivių nenoro dainuoti lietuvių liaudies dainas priežastis; ištirti moksleivių etninės muzikos žinių, informacijos gavimo būdus ir šaltinius; nustatyti muzikos ir pradinių klasių mokytojų formalaus ir neformalaus ugdymo formų mokykloje prioritetus; ištirti muzikos mokytojo vaidmenį etnine muzika ugdant moksleivių tautinę savimonę. Metodai: lyginamosios analizės, statistinis: aprašomoji statistika, koreliacinė analizė, chi kvadrato (c2) kriterijus. Tyrimo duomenys apdoroti naudojant SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) programinės įrangos 8.0 versiją. Išvados: muzikos mokytojai menkai suvokia tautiškumo ugdymo etnine muzika reikšmę. Etninė muzika dažniau naudojama kaip mokymo priemonė, o ne kaip meninė, dvasinė vertybė. Muzikos mokytojams moksleivių tautinės savimonės ugdymo srityje etninė muzika nėra labai aktuali The article is an analysis of the role that ethnic music has information of national self-awareness. It also analyses schoolchildren’s opinions on the necessity of ethnic music in learning and determines reasons for schoolchildren’s unwillingness to learn ethnic music. The article is also a representation of the ways and forms in which schoolchildren acquire knowledge in ethnic music. It provides a comparison of the attitudes towards ethnic music between a teacher of music and that of first–graders, and an account on the meaning it has in educational personality development. The authors maintain that the way of implementing ethnic music via both formal and informal education is the most efficient. Analysis based on learners and teachers’ answers indicates that research participants have gained their initial acquaintance with national songs and other forms of ethnic culture in their families, later at kindergartens and schools. Meanwhile, their primary sources of information have been teachers of music. Research conducted includes surveying 189 schoolchildren and 52 teachers of music from different regions of Lithuania. Having compared the research results with those from earlier investigations, we might conclude that the teacher of music is, no doubt, the basic and most active presenter of ethnic music. He/she is mostly deploying Lithuanian ethnic music as an educational means. As a matter of fact, ethnic music does not appear to be an important implement for teachers of music in stimulating schoolchildren’s national self-awareness

Apie mokinių žinių ir gebėjimų santykį ugdymo procese diskutuojama ne vienerius metus. Bendrieji švietimo dokumentai akcentuoja gebėjimų pirmumą žinių atžvilgiu. Valstybinių egzaminų metu tikrinami mokinių reprodukavimo, t.y. žinių taikymo, ir produkavimo, t.y. problemos sprendimo, analizavimo, interpretavimo, vertinimo gebėjimai. Gimtosios kalbos testu (kalbos užduočių dalis) tikrinami mokinių reprodukavimo gebėjimai Discussions about the ratio of pupils’ knowledge and skills in the educational process have been going on for a number of years. General educational documents focus on priority of skills as compared to knowledge. State examinations check pupils’ skills of reproduction, i.e. application of knowledge, and production, i.e. problem solving, analysis, interpretation and evaluation. The mother tongue test (linguistic tasks) are used to check reproductive skills of pupils.

Straipsnyje nagrinėjamos tikybos mokytojų - jaunųjų specialistų sėkmės ir nesėkmės evangelizuojant Lietuvos jaunimą, aptariami tie gebėjimai, be kurių neįmanoma daryti įtakos šių dienų moksleiviams. Remiantis konkrečiais pavyzdžiais iš tikybos pamokų, straipsnyje analizuojamos religinio ugdymo nesėkmių priežastys, o išvadose bandoma pateikti strateginių pasiūlymų, kaip efektyviau rengti tikybos mokytojus bei tobulinti tikybos mokymo organizavimą. Teachers of Religion are legal evangelizers of Lithuanian schools. They can reach the young people who do not come to Christian parishes or communities, so this means a great opportunity for the Church. To make their mission effective, however, the teachers need the following skills: ability to link faith points with the young people's problems and interests today, ability to debate and to debate defend Christian faith and morality, ability to use new methodology based on activity, ability to witness the faith and Christian lifestyle. Theological and psychological skills arc also essential, but the article deals primarily with the skills that appeared to be most striking for our research which is based on our observations of how the young graduates from Religious Education department of Vilnius Pedagogical University cope with their Religion classes at schools. We have concluded that our graduates arc creative enough while trying to associate faith with today's issues (this is seen from the topics of their lessons), but they do not always manage to argue effectively or to witness their faith and values, especially on the issues of marriage, premarital sex, euthanasia, etc. They appeared, however, to be rather strong in using modern methodology and active forms of teaching. The young teachers' lack of efficiency in polemics, discussions and witnessing is due to a number of drawbacks in their formation, namely: the status of Religious Education at school is not high enough to attract good students to choose this profession; Religious Education departments lack efficient professors of theology; spiritual guidance and the life of prayer is too weak to balance the wide influence of the worldly context in a secular university. We therefore conclude with several suggestions: we should make a clearer distinction between Religious Education at schools and parish catechesis, and the former should mainly aim at evangelizing the searchers and the non-believers who happen to come to our Religion class; the school syllabi and Religious Education textbooks should be revised to appeal to today's issues and to find our young people where they arc, not where we would like them to be; the training of religious educators in Lithuania should be improved and centralized; Religious Education at schools should firstly emphasize the positive points of our faith and bear witness of the bright aspects of Christian morality.

Nors dorovės tyrimams skiriama nemažai dėmesio, vis dėlto Lietuvoje pasigendama empirinių dorovinės problematikos tyrimų, kuriuose būtų taikomi standartizuoti metodai, nes vis dar stokojama patikimų ir validžių tyrimo priemonių. Straipsnyje pristatomas tyrimas, kuriame siekta pagrįsti dorovinių įgūdžių tyrimo būdo patikimumą ir validumą sportuojančių ir nesportuojančių moksleivių imtims. Doroviniams įgūdžiams vertinti taikytas dorovinių įgūdžių aprašas, jame išvardyti doroviniai įgūdžiai yra vertinami penkių balų skale. Tyrimas vyko 2001 m. Kauno, Klaipėdos, Vilniaus bendrojo lavinimo ir krepšinio sporto mokyklose. Iš viso buvo apklausti 547 moksleiviai: 129 sportuojantys ir 143 nesportuojantys 10-12 m. bei 130 sportuojančių ir 145 nesportuojantys 13-15 m. moksleiviai. Mokiniai aprašą pildė du kartus, antrą kartą jie buvo apklausti praėjus vienam mėnesiui po pirmos apklausos. Mokslinės literatūros analizės pagrindu išskirti bendrieji ir elementarieji doroviniai įgūdžiai. Bendrieji doroviniai įgūdžiai apibrėžiami kaip jautrumo, atvirumo, atlaidumo ir atsakingumo įgūdžiai. Šie įgūdžiai yra skaidomi į elementariuosius dorovinius įgūdžius. Atlikus gautų rezultatų analizę, nustatytas metodikos vidinis validumas ir patikimumas: visų dorovinių įgūdžių skalių Cronbach alpha koeficientai yra nuo 0,75 iki 0,91, gauti statistiškai patikimi ryšiai tarp dorovinių įgūdžių skalių ir moksleivių veiklos rodiklių. Nustatytas statistiškai patikimas ryšys tarp dviejų tyrimų duomenų: nė vienos skalės koreliacijos koeficientas nebuvo mažesnis negu 0,82. Although morality research is paid considerable attention, the empirical studies of morality problems, which apply standardised methods, are scarce in Lithuania, because there has still been a lack of reliable and valid research measures. The paper presents the study that aims to substantiate reliability and validity of the method of the research of moral skills in the samples of pupils who engage in sports and those who do not do it. Moral skills were evaluated by the description of moral skills, which lists moral skills in a five-score scale. The study was carried out in Kaunas, Klaipėda and Vilnius general education and basketball schools in 2001. In total, 547 pupils were surveyed: 129 pupils aged 10–12 who go in for sports, 143 pupils aged 10–12 who do not go in for sports, 130 pupils aged 13–15 who go in for sports, and 145 pupils aged 13–15 who do not go in for sports. Pupils filled in the description twice; they were interviewed for the second time a month after the first survey. The analysis of scientific literature served as the basis for identifying the general and elementary moral skills. General moral skills are defined as the skills of sensibility, openness, forgiveness and responsibility. These skills are divided into elementary moral skills. The analysis of obtained results established the internal validity and reliability of methodology: Cronbach alpha coefficients of all moral skill scales are from 0.75 to 0.91; obtained statistically reliable relationships between moral skill scales and pupils’ performance indicators. A statistically reliable relationship was established between the data of two surveys: the correlation coefficient of any scale was not lower than 0.82.

Straipsnyje siekta išanalizuoti aukštesniųjų klasių mokinių autonomiškumo apraiškas mokymosi veikloje, autonomiškumo sąsajas su mokinių pamėgtais mokymosi stiliais, nustatyti galimos socioedukacinių veiksnių įtakos pobūdį. Autonomiškumui mokymosi veikloje tirti panaudota A. Camilleri anketa, kurią sudarė 25 klausimai, atspindintys mokinių savarankiškumą, mokymosi motyvaciją ir gebėjimus organizuoti savo mokymąsi. Tyrime dalyvavo Marijampolės, Vilkaviškio, Šakių vidurinių mokyklų aukštesniųjų klasių moksleiviai (N = 281). Nustatyta, kad daugumai aukštesniųjų klasių mokinių būdingas vidutinis ir žemas autonomijos mokymosi veikloje lygis. Aukštu autonomijos lygiu pasižymėjo mažiau nei dešimtadalis tyrime dalyvavusių moksleivių. Nagrinėjant demografinių ir socioedukacinių kintamųjų įtaką mokymosi autonomiškumui, paaiškėjo, kad nei mokyklos tipas, nei mokymosi profilis autonomijai pasireikšti mokymosi veikloje didesnės įtakos neturi. Statistiškai reikšmingas skirtumas aptiktas tik lyginant mokymosi autonomijos rodiklius pagal respondentų lytį: berniukai mokymosi veikloje pasirodė esą autonomiškesni nei mergaitės. Analizuojant aukštesniųjų klasių mokinių mokymosi stilių ypatumus, nustatyta, kad dominuoja orientuotas į autoritetą mokymosi būdas, kuris mėgstamiausias daugiau nei pusės tiriamųjų. Kadangi tyrime dalyvavę mokiniai nepasižymėjo aukštu autonomijos mokymosi veikloje lygiu ir daugumai jų būdingas orientuotas į autoritetą mokymosi stilius, atlikus koreliacinę duomenų analizę, nustatytas statistiškai reikšmingas ryšys tarp autonomijos ir minėto mokymosi stiliaus rodiklių. An autonomic learner has the most important role in the change of the teaching/learning paradigm. While exploring features of autonomy in the learning process of senior pupils (n=281) it became clear that the level of autonomy in the learning process of most of the respondents is mediate or low. Only 9.25% of pupils had high autonomy. The respondents' gender had the biggest influence on the results of the research from all the chosen demographical and socioeducative factors. The problem of pupils getting overworked exists. Homework load is determined in accordance with the hygiene standards and regulations, general education plans for comprehensive schools for 2003-2005. The problems of immoderate homework load may be divided into two groups: 1) solvable by school communities; 2) almost irrespective of the efforts made by school communities. The aim of the article is to generalize the efficiency of the means regulating homework load at Aukštelkė Comprehensive School, Šiauliai region. Research methods were the following: search for the scientific data on homework; questionnaire survers of the pupils, their parents and teachers; analysis of the pupils medical records; interviews; pedagogical-psychological analysis of the statistic data. During an experimental school year of 2003–2004 at Aukštelkė Comprehensive School, the studying load was abated motivating the pupils to work in class; by qualitative regulations and control of homework tasks, contextualising schedules for tests and practising the accumulative marking system for accomplished homework tasks. An obvious positive change was noticed controlling homework load set for the pupils since the experiment was completed. The tutors were assigned to coordinate the studying load and increas the teaching load. Unless the problem of appropriate homework load is solved by the Government the problem will not be tackled by school communities. First of all, curricula, general standards and examination requirements have to be reconsidered.

Straipsnyje nagrinėjamas Lietuvos bendrojo lavinimo mokyklose sisteminį istorijos kursą besimokančių moksleivių požiūris į istorijos dalyką: analizuojama 7-12 klasių moksleivių nuomonė apie istorijos dalyko įdomumą ir reikalingumą, tiriama, kokios istorijos temos ir istorijos laikotarpiai labiausiai domina moksleivius, kuo pasižymi berniukų ir mergaičių požiūrių skirtumai. Atlikta anketinė apklausa. Straipsnyje apibendrinama 240 moksleivių nuomonė (po 40 respondentų iš 7-12 klasių), atsižvelgiant į tai, kad proporcingai būtų atspindėtas berniukų ir mergaičių, miesto ir kaimo mokyklų moksleivių požiūris. Gautų rezultatų analizė atskleidė, kad Lietuvos bendrojo lavinimo mokyklų 7-12 klasių moksleivių nuomone istorija yra įdomiausias ir reikalingiausias mokomasis dalykas, antroje vietoje - geografija, trečioje - užsienio kalba. Mažiausią susidomėjimą moksleiviai rodo tiksliaisiais mokslais (chemija ir fizika). Apie 85 proc. moksleivių teigia, kad jiems daugiau ar mažiau patinka mokytis istorijos. Mokantis pasaulio (visuotinės) istorijos, moksleivius labiausiai domina senovės laikotarpis, kiek mažiau - viduramžiai. Iš Lietuvos istorijos moksleivius labiausiai domina 20 a. laikotarpis, taip pat Lietuvos Didžiosios Kunigaikštystės laikotarpis. Labiausiai moksleivius domina buities istorija, kiek mažiau - kultūra ir religija, iškilių asmenybių veikla, mažiausiai domina valstybių ūkinis gyvenimas. Berniukai domisi politika, mokslininkų ir karo vadų biografijomis, mergaitės labiau domisi kultūra, religija, kasdieniniu gyvenimu, menininkų veikla. The article presents data of pupils’ sociological survey which aimed to throw some light on pupils’ attitude towards teaching/learning history. About 85% of pupils claim their willingness to learn history because they find out many interesting facts about people’s life in the past, and they can apply this factual historical knowledge to their everyday life, communicating with other people. Pupils like world history, especially ancient period and, to a lesser extent, medieval period. As far as Lithuanian history is concerned, pupils are more interested in the 20th century because of significant events about which they hear authentic stories. They also like to learn about the period of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania when Lithuania was a powerful and influential country. Interesting fact to note is that boys’ and girls’ attitudes towards history learning are not adequate. Boys are more interested in politics, scientists’, and military leaders’ biographies. Girls prefer topics on culture, religion, people’s daily life, famous artists’ lives and activities.

Labai svarbu, kad jau ankstyvoje vaikystėje vaikams būtų ne tik pateikiama informacija, bet prašoma ją analizuoti, vertinti ir t. t. Vėliau kritinis mąstymas ugdomas mokykloje, mokytojui atitinkamai modeliuojant pedagoginį procesą. Siekiant nustatyti III–IV klasių moksleivių kritinio mąstymo raišką sveikos gyvensenos pamokose, buvo atliktas kiekybinis ir kokybinis tyrimas. Tyrime dalyvavo III–IV klasių moksleiviai. Nustatyta, kad pagal kritinio mąstymo metodus mokęsi moksleiviai lengviau išskyrė reiškinius lemiančius veiksnius, įvertino jų reikšmę, tai yra gebėjo informaciją analizuoti ir sintetinti. Šie gebėjimai ryškiausi tų ketvirtų klasių moksleivių, kurių ugdymo procesas grindžiamas kritinio mąstymo metodais. Gebėjimo analizuoti ir sintetinti informaciją ugdymas(is) tiesiog proporcingas vaiko amžiui ir priklauso nuo pasirinktos ugdymo metodikos. Tyrime dalyvavusiems moksleiviams sunkiausi buvo vertinti verčiantys klausimai. Nustatyta, kad daugiau išsamių ar iš esmės atsakytų variantų pateikė pagal kritinio mąstymo metodiką ugdomi moksleiviai. Norint tiksliai nustatyti, kaip moksleiviai geba analizuoti ir vertinti informaciją, reikalingi tolesni tyrinėjimai. Nustatyta, kad dauguma moksleivių supranta, kas yra sveikas gyvenimo būdas, kaip jis veikia žmogų ir gamtą, suvokia taisyklingos mitybos, asmens higienos, judėjimo ir darnių tarpusavio santykių reikšmę. Moksleiviams svarbios ir vertybinės nuostatos: dora, sąžiningumas sau ir kitiems siekiant įvairių tikslų, tolerancija ir pagarba kitų nuomonei ir pan. Expression of critical thinking on the healthy lifemode of primary class schoolchildren is analysed and discussed. Schoolchildren of the 3rd and 4th classes of several schools of Vilnius were involved in this investigation. In total 262 schoolchildren (130 (49,6%) students of the 3rd class and 132 (50,4%) students of the 4th class; 133 (50,8%) males and 129 (49,2%) females) were interrogated. The results of the study show that pupils restore, analyse, synthesize and use information in practice more efficiently when methods of critical thinking are applied in the teaching process. Pupils can better evaluate information when they are taught to think critically. The analysis showed that pupils are concerned about values. Critical thinking helps not only to develop thinking skills of pupils and encourage their healthy life, but also foster moral values that helps to bring up a fully developed personality.

The paper presents the results of school anxiety the in IV, V, X, XII form pupils’ investigated by Phillips Test. The sample was 400 (50 boys and girls from each form). Three anxiety levels were identified: high, average and low. The low anxiety level predominated. It was found out that the greater part of the pupils were afraid not to justify their friends’ and teachers’ expectations and were worried about their assessment. Especially girls were worried about being tested for knowledge and achievement. Junior form pupils were more concerned about their relationships with peers and the demonstration of their opportunities in public to be compared; girls from these forms had more adaptation difficulties in stress situations. Approximately half of the respondents pointed out their anxiety forming relationship with teachers what consequently affected their academic performance.

Esminė mokinio veikla – mokymasis, sąlygojantis visapusišką asmenybės vystymąsi, jos gebėjimų tobulinimą visą gyvenimą. Nenoras mokytis atsiranda esant mokymosi motyvacijos stokai, kai mokinys nemato savo veiklos tikslo bei prasmės, susijusių su jo asmenybe, vertybėmis bei požiūriu į gyvenimą. Straipsnyje nagrinėjamos nenoro mokytis priežastys mokinių ir mokytojų požiūriu. The main occupation of a student is studying, which determines the comprehensive development of the personality and personal growth throughout the entire life. Unwillingness to study is the result of the lack of motivation, when a student does not see any purpose or meaning in his/her activities in relation to his/her personality, values and life views. The article examines the reasons for the unwillingness to study from the perspective of students and teachers.

Straipsnyje nagrinėjami muzikinio ugdymo klausimai bendrojo lavinimo mokykloje. Tirta: a) mokinių interesai ir preferencijos įvairioms muzikinėms veiksenoms; b) faktinis įvairių muzikinių veiksenų pasireiškimas pamokoje. Tyrimo metu paaiškėjo, kad tarp tų dviejų dalykų neretai egzistuoja prieštaravimai ir neatitikimai. Mokiniai nori tokių veiksenų, kurios muzikinio ugdymo požiūriu yra labai vertingos, bet realybė tokia, kad pamokoje mokytojai skiria daugiau dėmesio kitoms, mokinių nemėgstamoms muzikinėms veiksenoms, lš bendrosios didaktikos yra žinoma, kad mokytojo ir mokinių interesai bei tikslai pamokoje turi bent iš dalies sutapti. Kuo labiau šie interesai sutampa, tuo veiksmingesnis mokymas ir mokymasis. Article analysing problems of musical training in the comprehensive schools. Two aspects of the topic are mentioned. One of them is pupil's interests and preferences for the different kinds of musical activities and second one is the actual expression of musical activities during the lesson. We realized that there are some contradictions between these two aspects. Pupils are interested in music activities that are significant as a training subject, as well. Teachers at the same time try to pay more attention and to use musical training methods that are unattractive for pupils. One of the postulates of common didactics said that the aims and interests of children and teachers during the educational unattractive for pupils. The closer aims and interests of both participants of educational process, the effective tuition and learning are.

Straipsnyje nagrinėjami įvairaus amžiaus moksleivių kūrybiškumo ypatumai, atskleidžiamos kūrybiškumo sąsajos su pažangumu. Siekiant nustatyti mokinių kūrybiškumo ypatumus ir jų ryšį su mokymosi sėkme, atliktas tyrimas, kuriame dalyvavo 729 įvairaus amžiaus moksleiviai ir studentai: 127 pradinės mokyklos 10-11 m. amžiaus mokiniai (4 kl.), 185 vidurinės mokyklos 13-15 m. amžiaus mokiniai (6 ir 8 kl.), 297 vidurinės mokyklos 17-18 m. amžiaus mokiniai (10-11 kl.), ir 120 aukštesniosios mokyklos 18-22 m. amžiaus studentų. Tyrimo dalyviai atliko E. P. Torrance (1974) (TTCT) kūrybinio mąstymo matavimo užduotis (vaizdinę dalį „Nebaigtų figūrų užduotys“). Užduočių atlikimo rezultatai buvo vertinami minčių gausumo, mąstymo originalumo, lankstumo ir detalumo kriterijais. Atlikus gautų rezultatų analizę, nustatyti tam tikri mokinių kūrybiškumo ypatumai įvairiose mokymosi pakopose (amžiaus grupėse): pagal kūrybinio mąstymo rodiklius lankstumą ir originalumą nerasta statistiškai reikšmingų skirtumų tarp visų amžiaus grupių, taigi šios svarbiausios kūrybinio mąstymo dimensijos yra sąlyginai pastovios ir nepriklausančios nuo amžiaus ar mokymosi pakopos. Detalumo rodiklis yra kintamiausias ir dinamiškiausias iš visų kitų kūrybinio mąstymo parametrų. Šis rodiklis turi tendenciją gerėti nuo pradinių klasių iki studentų grupės. Tai atitinka mąstymo plėtotės dėsningumus paauglystėje ir jaunystėje (J. Piaget tyrimai). Sąlyginai žemiausi detalumo rodikliai gauti 14-15 m. paauglių grupėje. Tarp mokinių kūrybiškumo ir mokymosi sėkmės nerasta statistiškai reikšmingos koreliacijos. The aim of the investigation was to analyze pupils creative thinking at school in different grades, their achievement and their interrelations. Torrance test of creative thinking (TTCT) was used as the main evaluation tool. 127 children of grade four (primary school), 185 - of grades six-eight (secondary school), 297 - of grades ten and eleven (secondary school) and 120 students of A higher school in Lithuania were investigated using these methods. Some features of pupils' creative thinking in different school grades (the results are statistically significant) were found. The main result showed that pupils' creative thinking had no correlation with their academic achievement. The conclusion would be that the relationship between creativity and learning success is complicated, having not one meaning.

The article, relying on the statistical data, presents the socio-linguistic analysis of the attitudes demonstrated by the schoolchildren of classes III and IV from Skaudvilė and Šilalė towards the dialects of the Lithuanian language. The results of the study revealed the existence of a direct correlation between: the schoolchildren’s age and their attitude towards dialects; the region of the respondents and their attitude towards dialects. The question of the importance and significance of dialects is beyond schoolchildrens’ in primary classes comprehension because of their age. For this reason the teacher’s task is to develop schoolchildrens’ positive attitudes towards dialects as a part of their educational culture. Schoolchildren should become aware that their affection towards the native country and the dialect spoken is appreciated by the multinational world.

Kūryba žmogaus gyvenime yra ypatingas, išskirtinės svarbos reiškinys. Šių dienų didžiausia žmogaus problema – savęs realizavimas veikloje. Kiekvienas amžiaus tarpsnis ugdymo požiūriu yra savitas. Pradinių klasių mokinių vidinis augimas reikalauja daugiau negu žinojimo. Pradinukams reikia „gero" ir „gražaus" pasaulio, išgyvenamo vaizdais. Meninė raiška – ta terpė, kurioje šio amžiaus vaikai gali realizuoti savo siekius. Straipsnyje aptariamas mokytojų požiūris ir nuostatos į moksleivių kūrybinės saviraiškos ugdymą daile. Taikyti šie tyrimo metodai – literatūros šaltinių analizė, anketavimas, pokalbis. Literatūros šaltinių analizė parodė, jog dailės mokytojo rengimo paradigma, orientuota į ugdytinio asmenybę, remiasi idėja, kad mokyklinio dailės ugdymo procese svarbiausias veiksnys yra ugdytinių mokymosi motyvacija. Dailės dalyko žinios yra ne tikslas, o tik asmenybės saviraiškos skatinimo priemonė. Vaiko asmenybės raiška bus kryptinga, jei ugdymo procesui vadovaus kūrybingas pedagogas. Mokytojai nėra pakankamai susipažinę su moksleivių kūrybinę saviraišką bei kūrybiškumą skatinančiais veiksniais ugdant daile. Pedagogai didesnį dėmesį skiria darbo rezultatui nei kūrybos procesui. Didžioji mokytojų dalis moksleivių kūrybiškumą bei kūrybinę saviraišką dažniausiai ugdo per meninių mokslų dalykus. Kaip labiausiai pasižymintį kūrybingos asmenybės bruožą mokytojai išskyrė originalumą. Pedagogas turi bendrauti su kiekvienu vaiku, tikslingai veikti vaiko intuiciją, fantaziją, norą kurti. Creativity is a special and extraordinary important phenomenon in person’s life. The major problem of a modern human is his self-realization. Every age period is peculiar in the sense of education. The inner development of primary school students needs more than knowledge. Primary school students need a “good” and “beautiful” world, experienced in images. Creative expression is the environment in which children of this age can express their goals. This article discusses teachers’ view and attitude towards the capacity building of students’ self-expression in arts. The following research methods were applied: analysis of sources of literature, survey and interview. The analysis of sources of literature showed that the paradigm of art teacher’s training is orientated towards the personality of a student, it relies on the idea that in the process of school-level art education the central element is student’s motivation to learn. The knowledge in the subject of art is not the goal, but a mere measure to encourage self-expression. The expression of personality will be targeted if the process of education is led by a creative educator. Teachers are not entirely familiar with elements encouraging students’ creative self-expression and creativity in arts. Educators are more focused on the result than a creative process. The majority of teachers encourages students’ creativity and creative expression in artistic subjects. Teachers pointed out originality as the main trait of a creative personality. Educator has to interact with every student, to influence child’s intuition, imagination and desire to create.
