Abstract

The aims of the research Preparing the Zone defense exercises to develop fitness and balance and their impact on the offensive skills of basketball players on wheelchairs, and to learn about the impact of the Zone defense exercises to develop agility and balance and their impact on the offensive skills of basketball players on the wheelchairs, and the experimental curriculum adopted the design of the experimental and control groups, on a sample of players Maysan Governorate Committee on the (12) moving chairs, who are continuing their training for the season (2021-2022), were chosen intentionally from their asset in the comprehensive method by (100%), and then divided into the two groups with an equal number, and after specifying the appropriate tests for the privacy of this The sample, the region's defense exercises were tried for a period from 18/4/2022 to 15/6/2022, and then treatment by (SPSS), The Extracts and applications were that the Zone defense exercises are important and effective to develop agility, balance and offensive skills for basketball players on wheelchairs, and that agility and balance is a major requirement for the success of the attacking skill performance in basketball because they contain movements that require attention and rapid action.

154. Content scalability in multiple description image and video coding

Abstract

High compression ratio, scalability and reliability are the main issues for transmitting multimedia content over best effort networks. Scalable image and video coding meets the user requirements by truncating the scalable bitstream at different quality, resolution and frame rate. However, the performance of scalable coding deteriorates rapidly over packet networks if the base layer packets are lost during transmission. Multiple description coding (MDC) has emerged as an effective source coding technique for robust image and video transmission over lossy networks. In this research problem of incorporating scalability in MDC for robust image and video transmission over best effort network is addressed. The first contribution of this thesis is to propose a strategy for generating more than two descriptions using multiple description scalar quantizer (MDSQ) with an objective to jointly decoded any number of descriptions in balanced and unbalanced manner. The distortion constraints and design conditions for multichannel unbalanced description coding (MUDC) using several MDSQs for improving quality as the number of description is increased are formulated. Secondly, the design of MDSQ is extended to incorporate the quality scalability in each de- scription by using the concept of successive refinement in the side quantizers of multiple description scalar quantizer called MDSQ-SR. The design conditions of the MDSQ-SR are formulated with the objective to improve the quality of side and joint decoding for any combination of quality refinement layers. The joint decoding of different spatial resolution descriptions having different quality re- finement layers is demonstrated for images by combining MUDC and MDSQ-SR schemes respectively. Finally, a fully scalable multiple description video coding (SMDVC) scheme is proposed by integrating MUDC and MDSQ-SR schemes in a motion compensated temporal filtering based video coding framework. The pro- posed SMDVC scheme is capable of generating and joint decoding any number of descriptions in balanced and unbalanced manner at any quality, resolution and frame rate. According to the experimental results the unbalanced joint decoding results into 1.1 dB better peak to signal noise ratio (PSNR) than the balanced joint decod- ing at the same data rate. Furthermore, the joint decoding of MDSQ-SR based scheme gives an average of 1.35 dB and 0.3 dB better PSNR performance with re- spect to the state-of-the-art embedded-MDSQ for images and video respectively. The PSNR performance of the MDSQ-SR based video scheme is improved by 0.2-0.6 dB by controlling inter description and motion vector redundancies. In addition to superior rate-distortion performance than embedded-MDSQ, MDSQ- SR has reduced the computational complexity by 83%.

Abstract

Spodoptera frugiperda (fall armyworm) is a member of the superfamily Noctuoidea that accounts for more than a third of all Lepidoptera and includes a considerable number of agricultural and forest pest species. Spodoptera frugiperda is a polyphagous species that is a significant agricultural pest worldwide, emphasizing its economic importance. Spodoptera frugiperda’s genome size, assembly, phylogenetic classification, and transcriptome analysis have all been previously described. However, the different studies reported different compositions of repeated DNA sequences that occupied the whole assembled genome, and the Spodoptera frugiperda genome also lacks the comprehensive study of dynamic satellite DNA. We conducted a comparative analysis of repetitive DNA across geographically distant populations of Spodoptera frugiperda, particularly satellite DNA, using publicly accessible raw genome data from eight different geographical regions. Our results showed that most transposable elements (TEs) were commonly shared across all geographically distant samples, except for the Maverick and PIF/Harbinger elements, which have divergent repeat copies. The TEs age analysis revealed that most TEs families consist of young copies 1–15 million years old; however, PIF/Harbinger has some older/degenerated copies of 30–35 million years old. A total of seven satellite DNA families were discovered, accounting for approximately 0.65% of the entire genome of the Spodoptera frugiperda fall armyworm. The repeat profiling analysis of satellite DNA families revealed differential read depth coverage or copy numbers. The satellite DNA families range in size from the lowest 108 bp SfrSat06-108 families to the largest (1824 bp) SfrSat07-1824 family. We did not observe a statistically significant correlation between monomer length and K2P divergence, copy number, or abundance of each satellite family. Our findings suggest that the satellite DNA families identified in Spodoptera frugiperda account for a considerable proportion of the genome’s repetitive fraction. The satellite DNA families’ repeat profiling revealed a point mutation along the reference sequences. Limited TEs differentiation exists among geographically distant populations of Spodoptera frugiperda.

Abstract

This analytical study aimed at analyzing the democratic values existing in sixth-grade English textbooks in Jordan. The population of the study consisted of all content of sixth-grade EFL textbooks during the scholastic year 2021\2022. The researchers developed a content analysis card consisting of 37 democratic values distributed according to (4) fields: Political Principles, Cultural Rights, Human and Social relations, and Religious Values. The findings revealed that there are 1846 democratic values in the sixth-grade textbooks. The findings also indicated that the political principles are the most frequent value in the content of sixth-grade English textbooks while religious values are the least promoted within the textbooks.

Abstract

A 46‐year‐old woman underwent pericardiocentesis and pericardial window for recurrent pericardial effusion. She presented 17 months later with signs and symptoms consistent with constrictive pericarditis. Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging revealed an infiltrative mass surrounding the pericardium. Abstract

This research aims to clarify the importance of dialogue in calling the people to God Almighty and to elucidate on the correct belief of the interlocutor by using examples from the sunnah and biography of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the predecessor of this nation. It also aims to demonstrate the importance of dialogue in the life of the individual, society, and nation in building positive relationships among members of the Muslim community, with other communities, and even with non-Muslims. The research also aims to collect the authentic hadiths related to dialogue in the books on the Prophet’s (PBUH) sunnah regarding the topic of faith, which is the basis of the call to God Almighty and upon which the worship of Muslims is based. This study explains the most important matters that can benefit the discerning preacher regarding the phases after the Prophet’s mission in Makkah and after the Prophet’s migration. The researcher found that the straight prophetic method is what Mulims desperately need today to clarify the word of God to the people. This article also explains the importance of dialogue in the life of a Muslim preacher and society. The dialogue conducted should follow the method of the Prophet (PBUH) by displaying gentleness and kindness besides adopting the easiest ways and means to deliver the call to the faith.
