In this study, firstly, real, complex and quaternion combinations of octonionic matrices are defined. In terms of these defined combinations, basic operations of octonionic matrices are given. Later, algebraic structures of octonionic matrix set are obtained. In addition, the modulus structures of the octonionic matrix set on the real, complex and quaternion matrix sets are examined. Bases and dimension of octonionic matrix sets with modulus structure have been found. Finally, special octonionic matrices and transpose, conjugate, trace of octonionic matrices are given. We fabricate polymer solar cells (PSCs) and modules by sheet‐to‐sheet slot‐die coating under air environment based on halogen‐free host solvent. How to upscale small‐area PSC to large‐area PSC module is demonstrated here. The opaque module exhibits the most superior performance among the slot‐die‐coated modules reported. The scaling of both the semitransparent top electrode and PSC module is a challenge due to the complex difficulties. In this study, the semitransparent MoO3/Ag/MoO3 top electrode is successfully upscaled to be in the large‐area semitransparent PSC module. Ag layer thickness as reflector in the tri‐layer electrode is used to tune the trade‐off between transmittance, conductivity, and the light absorption in the active layer. The matching combination of transmittance, absorption spectra of MoO3/Ag/MoO3 top electrode, and active layer is a main key of our approach greatly improving photovoltaic and optical performance. The power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) of the semitransparent PSC modules with Ag thickness of 25, 20, and 15 nm are 7.1%, 5.9%, and 4.4%, respectively. The corresponding average visible transmittance (AVT) values are 20.5%, 28.3%, and 36.1%, respectively. The transmittance values at 550 nm are ranging from 24% to 40%. According to the review of all the reported semitransparent modules (>10 cm2), our modules demonstrate the excellent trade‐off performance about two times better than the large‐area semitransparent PSC modules currently reported either based on the similar PCEs or AVTs. Complex shading on a photovoltaic (PV) module has a disproportionate impact on its power production. Minimizing power losses is critical in the installation of the PV module since it can greatly diminish the module's performance and capacity to generate electricity. Thorough examination of the consequences of hard shading on the PV modules is necessary to lower power losses and maximize the module's efficacy. This paper presents the background and findings from three different types of PV module (Full Cell, Half-Cut and Shingle PV module) operated under a variety of shading pattern (horizontal, vertical, and diagonal), and obscuring percentage (25, 50, and 75%). Experiments are conducted in a location at Sabah, a state located within Malaysia. Sabah which has a tropical climate with high temperatures and humidity, along with consistent level of solar radiation throughout the year making it well-suited for solar energy production. The experimental technique, which involved testing PV modules under various shading patterns and percentages, was found to be highly accurate in determining the amount of shading loss, particularly in instances of hard shading. The findings are presented by I–V and P–V curve that was traced by using a portable PV power meter (SEAWARD PV200) relating the pattern and percentage of shading to maximum power point (MPP) and power losses of the PV modules. The automatic tapping device presented in this research can be applied to devices that require tapping work, such as molding machines such as press dies and injection dies. For pressed parts that include small tapping, the general method is to perform additional tapping on a dedicated tapping line after pressing. At this time, if the production volume is small, tapping is performed manually. As a result, many problems have arisen, such as installation costs and labor costs for dedicated lines, and delivery delays due to increased work hours. To solve this problem, research and development of an automatic tapping device are underway. Background: Parkinson's disease is a complex and progressive disorder characterized by various motor and non-motor symptoms. Movement disorders are the hallmark of PD and can severely compromise an individual's ability to perform well-learned motor skills such as walking, writing, turning around, and transferring in and out of bed. Methodologies applied in patients are highly variable and many different approaches are used as per the stages of recovery. This limitation needs to be addressed by understanding and establishing a unique protocol that can be applied to these patients for better outcomes. Method: A 18 months study was conducted where patients diagnosed with Parkinson's disease underwent physical therapy with validated module. The stage wise physical therapy module was prepared and validated with help of content validity, logical thinking and sensitivity analysis. Sample size was calculated and was 26 (By Thanchanok Pumprasart et al, With 95 % confidence and 80% power n= 26) . Functional independence measure, Modified Barthal index was assessed for functional independency and mobility. Result: Our results shower statistical significant improvement with stage wise rehabilitation protocol on various domains of mobility and cognitive functions. More ever it was also useful for maintaining the progress of disease. • The pilot plant of salt farm parallel solar power plant is verified for a year. • The system showed 93.4 % power generation compared to land installed PV system. • The main power loss of the system is 9.8 % by installation angle, 1.6 % and 4 % power loss by light loss. • A parallel salt farm system that can achieve the land equivalent ratio 2.13. In this research, we proposed a new concept for a solar system on a salt farm, where electricity and salt are produced simultaneously. In order to verify the concept, we installed a pilot system and demonstrated it for one year. We installed different types of PV modules for the system and tested the electrical properties, durability, and waterproofing of the modules. The electricity generation of the salt farm photovoltaic system is compared to land installed photovoltaic system for its feasibility. Also, computer simulation analyzed the installation angle, light loss, and cooling effect due to salt water and loss due to foreign substances. We found that the power generation by the year of the salt farm photovoltaic system is 9 percent less than that of a photovoltaic system installed on land. we also propose several methods in order to improve electricity generation by the salt farm photovoltaic system. In a digraph D, a module is a vertex subset M such that every vertex outside M does not distinguish the vertices in M. A digraph D with more than two vertices is prime if Ø, the single-vertex sets, and V(D) are the only modules in D. A prime digraph D is k-minimal if there is some k-element vertex subset U such that no proper induced subdigraph of D containing U is prime. This concept was introduced by A. Cournier and P. Ille in 1998. They characterized the 1-minimal and 2-minimal digraphs. In 2014, M. Alzohairi and Y. Boudabbous described the 3-minimal triangle-free graphs, and in 2015, M. Alzohairi described a class of 4-minimal triangle-free graphs. In this paper, we give a recursive procedure to construct the minimal digraphs. This paper analyzes the mechanisms and pathways for leakage current flow observed in Si photovoltaic modules subjected to high temperature and humidity and a large voltage bias with respect to ground. The current inside of the frame is in the form of electron motion, but in the glass and polymer, it is in at least a large part attributable to the movement of ions. When the mode of current flow changes from electronic to ionic conduction, electrochemical reactions will take place at the interface. This can include reactions that produce volatile chemical species like H2, COx, and O2, along with ionic species such as OH− and H3O+. Here, we see evidence of the importance of different charge carriers with different diffusion rates and the influence of electrochemical processes involved. The application of negative voltage to the cell circuit affects the resistivity of glass producing surfaces with poor conductivity but with some increases in the electrochemical potential producing complicated interactions that are important when the voltage is changed. In the polymer, there is the development of a space charge region and a chemical gradient providing two oppositional forces to current flow, which when released create a complicated discharge process. Here, we give a basic understanding of the charge/discharge of PV cells highlighting how the specific mechanisms are important in understanding some of the degradation processes in PV modules. We find that there is evidence of multiple significant charge carrier species with different diffusion time scales. The glass/polymer interface forms a depleted region of higher resistance after prolonged exposure to current. Charge also builds up at the polymer to cell antireflective coating interface and mostly flows to the gridlines to experience electrochemical reactions. These complexities result in non‐linear behavior where the apparent resistivities of the different layers change during charge/discharging processes, making the modeling of the current flow extremely difficult. The purpose of this study was to analyze edutainment modules based on local excellence in Pantai Utara of Indonesia in terms of students' conceptual comprehension abilities. The edutainment module based on local excellence on Pantai Utara of Indonesia was developed with the Borg and Gall models developed. The development phase of the ethno-edutain module adds preliminary studios, product development and validation, and product trial trials. In testing the product, a large-scale trial was conducted. The effectiveness test was carried out on a large-scale trial with research subjects of fourth grade students at SD IT Umar Bin Khattab. The effectiveness of the ethno-edutainment module was accepted using test techniques. Based on N-gain trials Increased pretest and posttest scores of students produced 8 students increased in the high category, 21 students increased in the moderate category, and 3 students increased in the low category. In this paper we show that the category of measurable spaces is closed under coproducts in the category of sets. For an arbitrary ring R, we define measurable and probability right R-modules and we prove that the categories of these new objects are closed under kernels, cokernels and pushouts in the category of right R-modules. We also show that the category of measurable right R-modules is closed under coproducts and products in the category of right R-modules. This study focus on the development of the Piling Larang (Tech-Voc Carpentry Strand) module. The problems face by teachers are the main basis for developing this module. This study adopted a developmental design and the ADDIE paradigm. At this point, the researcher surveyed the instructors who teach Filipino in Piling Larang (Tech Voc) to find out what the most frequent issues are with teaching Filipino in Piling Larang Tech-Voc. The survey's findings served as the researcher's foundation for creating the module. In response to the results of the analysis of the findings of the survey among the teachers, the researcher designed the module for the Filipino subject in Piling Larang in Grade 12 (Tech-Voc Carpentry). Based on the competencies established by the Filipino curriculum guide, each lesson's goals are set. The researcher creates assignments for each session that correspond to the abilities the students need to learn, and the module's content is drawn from many basic texts. Each assignment is centered on the Carpentry strand, the course that students attend to advance their knowledge in that area. A group of validator assessed the generated module and offered the necessary adjustments and corrections. Energy shortage has become a global issue in the twenty-firt century, as energy consumption grows at an alarming rate as the fossil fuel supply exhausts. Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are a promising photovoltaic technology that has grown quickly in recent years. Its power conversion efficiency (PCE) is comparable to that of traditional silicon-based solar cells, and scale-up costs can be substantially reduced due to its utilization of solution-processable fabrication. Nevertheless, most PSCs research uses hazardous solvents, such as dimethylformamide (DMF) and chlorobenzene (CB), which are not suitable for large-scale ambient operations and industrial production. In this study, we have successfully deposited all of the layers of PSCs, except the top metal electrode, under ambient conditions using a slot-die coating process and nontoxic solvents. The fully slot-die coated PSCs exhibited PCEs of 13.86% and 13.54% in a single device (0.09 cm2) and mini-module (0.75 cm2), respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The LEAFY COTYLEDON1 (LEC1) transcription factor is a central regulator of seed development, because it controls diverse biological programs during seed development, such as embryo morphogenesis, photosynthesis, and seed maturation. To understand how LEC1 regulates different gene sets during development, we explored the possibility that LEC1 acts in combination with other transcription factors. We identified and compared genes that are directly transcriptionally regulated by ABA-RESPONSIVE ELEMENT BINDING PROTEIN3 (AREB3), BASIC LEUCINE ZIPPER67 (bZIP67), and ABA INSENSITIVE3 (ABI3) with those regulated by LEC1. We showed that LEC1 operates with specific sets of transcription factors to regulate different gene sets and, therefore, distinct developmental processes. Thus, LEC1 controls diverse processes through its combinatorial interactions with other transcription factors. DNA binding sites for the transcription factors are closely clustered in genomic regions upstream of target genes, defining cis-regulatory modules that are enriched for DNA sequence motifs that resemble sequences known to be bound by these transcription factors. Moreover, cis-regulatory modules for genes regulated by distinct transcription factor combinations are enriched for different sets of DNA motifs. Expression assays with embryo cells indicate that the enriched DNA motifs are functional cis elements that regulate transcription. Together, the results suggest that combinatorial interactions between LEC1 and other transcription factors are mediated by cis-regulatory modules containing clustered cis elements and by physical interactions that are documented to occur between the transcription factors.

Thermoelectric devices have several advantages, including no moving parts, noise-free operation, long service life, zero-emission, and precise temperature control. Therefore, they have been widely used in solid-state cooling, heating, and power generation. The study of the Thermoelectric Peltier Effect Demonstrator can provide insights into the potential applications and benefits of thermoelectric devices. This research aims to investigate the Thermoelectric Peltier Effect Demonstrator and its applications in solid-state cooling and heating. Specifically, the study aims to examine the Peltier effect generated by applying an electric current to the TEC-12706 and TEG-SP1848 modules connected to a heatsink and placed in a container filled with water. The research methodology involves conducting experiments using the Thermoelectric Peltier Effect Demonstrator. The modules are connected to the heatsink and placed in a water-filled container, and an electric current is applied to generate the Peltier effect. The temperature changes on both sides of the modules and the amount of heat transfer are measured and recorded. The results of the experiments show that the Thermoelectric Peltier Effect Demonstrator can effectively generate the Peltier effect and produce temperature differences between the two sides of the modules. The amount of heat transfer can also be controlled by adjusting the electric current. These findings demonstrate the potential applications of thermoelectric devices in solid-state cooling and heating, as well as their ability to provide more precise temperature control compared to conventional compressors.

Background: Competency-based medical education (CBME) curriculum in India has introduced many new concepts like a foundation course, early clinical exposure, and self-directed learning (SDL). Sometimes SDL simply means self-study. Self-directed learning as defined by Knowles is a process in which individuals take the initiative with or without the help of others in diagnosing their learning needs, setting their own learning goals, identifying appropriate learning resources, and selecting appropriate learning strategies. SDL is seen as a prerequisite for life-long learners, especially medical graduates. We found poor uptake of SDL sessions in terms of learning and attendance by students. To develop and assess the effect of the SDL module in Community Medicine for Phase -3 MBBS students. Materials and Methods: The study design was a program development and evaluation design. The program development consists of free listing and Nominal Group Technique (NGT). The evaluation design consists of a formative assessment, an end-of-module assessment, and feedback from undergraduate students, postgraduates, and faculties. Data collection procedure: SDL module was developed, agreed and implemented among undergraduates of Phase – 3 MBBS students. Results: Free listing was conducted among undergraduate students who had completed the phase 3 MBBS examination and Nominal Group Technique was conducted among the faculties (n = 7) and Postgraduates of the Department of Community Medicine (n = 2) to explore the appropriate topics for SDL in Community Medicine. The topic with the highest ranking and which was finalized for preparation of the SDL module was “National Health Programme”. Three fourth 118 (75%) of the students scored ≥50% at the end of the module assessment. Manual content analysis for the feedback was categorized into three themes such as facilitating factors, challenges, and solutions. Conclusions: Effective implementation and assessment of SDL sessions are one of the new concepts in the CBME curriculum.

Students in the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Pejuang Republik Indonesia, comes from different background and knowledge. The problem is when the lecturer teaches the students to use an application on the computer, in this case the macromedia flash application. This research aims to develop a macromedia flash module that can be used by the students in the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Pejuang Republik Indonesia, as well as to determine the need, design, level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the Macromedia flash module. Furthermore, to distribute the module. In this study, the researcher uses research and development (R&D) methods with a 4-D development model, define, design, develop and disseminate. The developed module is then tested for its feasibility with validity, testing, and product evaluation. The results of this research showed that the level of validity coefficient by the two validators with an average score of 75%, with the level of practicality after being given a limited trial to students getting a very practical category with an average score of 3.32% and the level of effectiveness of the Macromedia flash module could be seen through pre-test and post-test with an average score of 56.00% during the pre-test and 89.20% during the post-test. In conclusion, the macromedia flash module can help lecturers and students to make the learning process more effective.

This research aims to determine the validity of the problem-based learning module teaching materials in the basic statistics course for graphic engineering students at the State Polytechnic of Creative Media PSDKU Makassar. The type of research used is research and development concerning the 4D development model. The 4D development model consists of several phases: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The product developed is module teaching materials based on problem-based learning on basic statistics material. The test subjects in this research were graphic engineering students at the State Polytechnic of Creative Media PSDKU Makassar. The instrument used in this research was a validation sheet consisting of two validators from design experts and material experts. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it is obtained that the analysis of the validation results: (1) the feasibility of the graphic, namely 4.8 is in the very valid category, (2) the feasibility of the language, which is 4.8, is in the very valid category, (3) the feasibility of the content is 4.8 in the very valid category, and (4) the feasibility of presenting that is 4.8, is in the very valid category so that the average value of all aspects is 4.7 which is in the very valid category. So, the problem-based learning module teaching materials in basic statistics courses that have been developed are valid to be used as teaching materials in the learning process.

This study describes the development of an integrated ethno-physics module for critical thinking skills as supporting teaching materials during the Covid-19 pandemic. The development stages used were the 4D models. These stages included defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The subjects of this study were material experts, media experts, and 50 students in Melawi Regency. The instruments were expert validation questionnaires, student perception questionnaires, and critical thinking tests. The resulting data are in the form of qualitative and quantitative data. The expert feasibility test uses the average score to the maximum score, while the user practicality test uses the average eligibility percentage. The trial design used was a pre-test and post-test group design. The statistical test used is parametric statistics with the help of SPSS 26. The study results show that the e-module ethnophysics have validly improved students’ critical thinking skills. This is shown by the results of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of e-module ethnophysics towards critical thinking during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Kemampuan koneksi matematis sangat dibutuhkan baik dalam pembelajaran matematika, maupun dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Realitanya kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa tingkat Sekolah Dasar di Indonesia dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika masih tergolong rendah. Oleh karena itu diperlukan adanya pembekalan bagi calon guru SD/MI agar terlatih dalam menerapkan koneksi matematis yang nantinya akan berdampak pada peningkatan koneksi matematis siswa mereka. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menghasilkan produk berupa modul pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis mahasiswa calon guru SD/MI dengan cara mengembangkan serta menguji kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan dari modul yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian pengembangan model ADDIE dan diujicobakan pada 9 orang mahasiswa PGMI STAI Al-Fithrah Surabaya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, modul pembelajaran berbasis proyek mendapatkan hasil kevalidan dalam kategori cukup valid. Dari segi kepraktisan, mendapatkan hasil rata-rata 88,69 dengan kategori sangat baik, sedangkan dari keefektifan rata-rata nilai kemampuan koneksi matematis mahasiswa sebelum penggunaan modul adalah 59,78 dan setelah penggunaan modul yaitu 75,11 dan dapat dikatakan efektif meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis.

This study aimed to explore the candidate genes associated with simple steatosis (SS) using integrated bioinformatics analysis. Data in GSE89632 were used to identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between SS and healthy controls (HC). Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway enrichment analysis for DEGs was conducted. Protein–protein interactions (PPI) network and transcription factor (TF)-gene network were constructed, followed by pathway analysis. Drug-gene interactions were also predicted. Finally, the expression level of hub genes was verified using GSE126848 and quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR). A total of 418 (139 up-regulated and 279 down-regulated) DEGs were identified between SS and HC groups. PPI analysis revealed that FOS, MYC, IL1B, and EGR1 might be considered as hub genes. Pathway analysis showed that these genes were mainly involved in TNF signaling pathway. Drug-gene interaction analysis identified six gene targets (PTGS2, IL1B, MMP9, CCL2, JUN, and IL6) and 38 small molecules. Further experimental verification confirmed that the expression level of FOS, MYC, IL1B, and EGR1 was significantly down-regulated in the SS samples. In conclusion, these data may provide new insights into the pathogenesis and treatment of SS. These hub genes and candidate drugs may improve the individualized diagnosis and treatment of SS.

The growth of traditional sports begins with daily habits with various activities in the form of movements towards a game which contains elements of the art of sports and social values ​​that exist throughout Indonesia. The aim of the study was to modify the rules of the traditional sport of geudeu-geudeu wrestling. The research method used is research and development (R & D) with the stages of the ADDIE method, namely: analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate. The research instruments were questionnaires and interviews containing statements related to the modification of the traditional sport rules of geudeu-geudeu wrestling. The research subjects were geudeu-geudeu trainers and 10 youths in Pidie Jaya Regency. Data analysis by looking for the magnitude of the relative frequency or in the form of a percentage. The results of this study indicate that there are four alternative answers chosen by respondents, namely 62.23% strongly agree, 34.24% choose agree, and 3.53% disagree, with the modification of the geudeu-geudeu martial arts regulations. Youth 60.02% strongly agree, 36.55% agree, 3.43% disagree with the modification of the traditional sport rules of geudeu-geudeu wrestling. Geudeu-geudeu and youth coaches 60.12% strongly agreed, 35.39% agreed with the development of the traditional sport regulations of geudeu-geudeu wrestling, and 4.49% disagreed with the modification of the traditional sport rules of geudeu-geudeu wrestling.

Grid-connected photovoltaic systems have been widely utilized as means of renewable energy-based electricity supply worldwide. Nevertheless, one of the major issues in their implementation is optimal system design, also associated to system sizing. An undersized or oversized system components could compromise the technical benefits of the systems. Therefore, this paper discusses a Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO) for optimizing a grid-connected photovoltaic system design. The optimization problem was devised based on single objective optimization with models of photovoltaic module and inverter set as the decision variables and specific yield transcribed as fitness value that needs to be maximized. Before optimization, an iterative-based sizing algorithm was formulated to determine the optimal module and inverter that give the highest specific yield using a non-computational intelligence approach. Later, GWO was employed to determine the maximum specific yield by choosing the optimal model of PV module and inverter. The results showed that GWO was able to produce same specific yield obtained by iterative-based sizing algorithm. Additionally, GWO was observed to be about 11.3 times faster when compared with the iterative approach. When comparing with particle swarm optimization and genetic algorithm, GWO was discovered to produce higher specific yield with relatively similar computation time.

Stand-alone photovoltaic systems have been used widely for rural electrifications. However, the success of the power supply systems is dependent on their technical and economic performance. Also, the system sizing becomes cumbersome when there are many models of systems components that need to be considered during the sizing process. Therefore, this paper presents an iterative-based sizing algorithm for determining the optimal model of each system component, i.e. photovoltaic modules, solar batteries, charge controllers and inverters such that either the performance ratio or the levelized cost of electricity of the system is optimized. The results showed that the iterative-based sizing algorithm required lower computational time than the conventional sizing algorithm using multiple single runs. In addition, the iterative-based sizing algorithm also presented the convenience of sizing based on single run.

Epigenetics may play a central, yet unexplored, role in the profound changes that the maternal immune system undergoes during pregnancy and could be involved in the pregnancy-induced modulation of several autoimmune diseases. We investigated changes in the methylome in isolated circulating CD4+ T-cells in non-pregnant and pregnant women, during the 1st and 2nd trimester, using the Illumina Infinium Human Methylation 450K array, and explored how these changes were related to autoimmune diseases that are known to be affected during pregnancy. Pregnancy was associated with several hundreds of methylation differences, particularly during the 2nd trimester. A network-based modular approach identified several genes, e.g., CD28, FYN, VAV1 and pathways related to T-cell signalling and activation, highlighting T-cell regulation as a central component of the observed methylation alterations. The identified pregnancy module was significantly enriched for disease-associated methylation changes related to multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus. A negative correlation between pregnancy-associated methylation changes and disease-associated changes was found for multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis, diseases that are known to improve during pregnancy whereas a positive correlation was found for systemic lupus erythematosus, a disease that instead worsens during pregnancy. Thus, the directionality of the observed changes is in line with the previously observed effect of pregnancy on disease activity. Our systems medicine approach supports the importance of the methylome in immune regulation of T-cells during pregnancy. Our findings highlight the relevance of using pregnancy as a model for understanding and identifying disease-related mechanisms involved in the modulation of autoimmune diseases. It is estimated that 72% of the worldwide primary energy consumption is lost as waste heat. Thermoelectric Generators (TEGs) are a possible solution to convert a part of this energy into electricity and heat for space heating. However, for their deployment a proven long-term operation is required. Therefore, this research investigates the long-term stability of TEGs on system level in air and argon atmosphere under thermal cycling up to 543 K. The layout of the examined test objects resembles a TEG in stack design. The results show that the maximal output power of the test object in air reaches a plateau at 57% of the initial power after 50 cycles caused by an increased electrical resistance of the system. Whereas the test object in argon atmosphere shows no significant degradation of electrical power or resistance. The findings represent a step towards the understanding of the long-term stability of TEGs and can be used as a guideline for design decisions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
