- Abstract
A joint determination of the reactor antineutrino spectra resulting from the fission of ²³⁵U and ²³⁹Pu has been carried out by the Daya Bay and PROSPECT Collaborations. This Letter reports the level of consistency of ²³⁵U spectrum measurements from the two experiments and presents new results from a joint analysis of both data sets. The measurements are found to be consistent. The combined analysis reduces the degeneracy between the dominant ²³⁵U and ²³⁹Pu isotopes and improves the uncertainty of the ²³⁵U spectral shape to about 3%. The ²³⁵U and ²³⁹Pu antineutrino energy spectra are unfolded from the jointly deconvolved reactor spectra using the Wiener-SVD unfolding method, providing a data-based reference for other reactor antineutrino experiments and other applications. This is the first measurement of the ²³⁵U and ²³⁹Pu spectra based on the combination of experiments at low- and highly enriched uranium reactors.

- Abstract
OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to determine the morbidity and comorbidity of glucolipid metabolic multiple noncommunicable diseases in a Chinese natural population and associated risk factors. SUBJECTS AND METHODS: A cross-sectional survey with randomized sampling was conducted on a typical sample of 4,002 residents (aged 26-76 years) in the Pinggu District of Beijing. They were subjected to a questionnaire survey, physical examination, and laboratory examination to collect data. Multivariable analysis was used to establish the association between various risk factors and multiple noncommunicable diseases. RESULTS: The overall prevalence rate of chronic glucolipid metabolic noncommunicable diseases was 84.28%. The most common type of noncommunicable diseases was dyslipidemia, abdominal obesity, hypertension, obesity, and type 2 diabetes. The prevalence rate of multiple noncommunicable diseases was 79.60%. Participants with dyslipidemia were at higher risk for underlying chronic diseases. Younger men and women after menopause were more likely to have multiple noncommunicable diseases compared to their older and younger counterparts, respectively. The results of multivariate logistic regression indicated that age above 50, male sex, high household income, low education level, and harmful alcohol consumption were independent risk factors for multiple noncommunicable diseases. CONCLUSIONS: The prevalence of chronic glucolipid metabolic noncommunicable diseases in Pinggu was higher than at the national level. Men with multiple noncommunicable diseases were younger, while women after menopause were more likely to suffer from multiple noncommunicable diseases and the prevalence rate was higher than in men. Intervention programs that aim to target risk factors by sex and region-specific are urgently needed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper aims to quantify and analyze the intelligence of artificial agent collectives. A universal metric is proposed and used to empirically measure intelligence for several different agent decision controllers. Accordingly, the effectiveness of various algorithms is evaluated on a per-agent basis over a selection of abstracted, canonical tasks of different algorithmic complexities. Results reflect the different settings over which cooperative multiagent systems can be significantly more intelligent per agent than others. We identify and discuss some of the factors influencing the collective performance of these systems.

175. Gallium Anomaly: critical view from the global picture of νe and ν¯e disappearance.

- Abstract
The significance of the Gallium Anomaly, from the BEST, GALLEX, and SAGE radioactive source experiments, is quantified using different theoretical calculations of the neutrino detection cross section, and its explanation due to neutrino oscillations is compared with the bounds from the analyses of reactor rate and spectral ratio data, β-decay data, and solar neutrino data. In the 3+1 active-sterile neutrino mixing scheme, the Gallium Anomaly is in strong tension with the individual and combined bounds of these data sets. In the combined scenario with all available data, the parameter goodness of fit is below 0.042%, corresponding to a severe tension of 4–5σ, or stronger. Therefore, we conclude that one should pursue other possible solutions beyond short-baseline oscillations for the Gallium Anomaly. We also present a new global fit of νe and ν ¯ e disappearance data, showing that there is a 2.6–3.3σ preference in favor of short-baseline oscillations, which is driven by an updated analysis of reactor spectral ratio data. - Abstract
To maximize the light yield of the liquid scintillator (LS) for the Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO), a 20 t LS sample was produced in a pilot plant at Daya Bay. The optical properties of the new LS in various compositions were studied by replacing the gadolinium-loaded LS in one antineutrino detector. The concentrations of the fluor, PPO, and the wavelength shifter, bis-MSB, were increased in 12 steps from 0.5 g/L and <0.01 mg/L to 4 g/L and 13 mg/L, respectively. The numbers of total detected photoelectrons suggest that, with the optically purified solvent, the bis-MSB concentration does not need to be more than 4 mg/L. To bridge the one order of magnitude in the detector size difference between Daya Bay and JUNO, the Daya Bay data were used to tune the parameters of a newly developed optical model. Then, the model and tuned parameters were used in the JUNO simulation. This enabled to determine the optimal composition for the JUNO LS: purified solvent LAB with 2.5 g/L PPO, and 1 to 4 mg/L bis-MSB.

- Abstract
The prediction of reactor antineutrino spectra will play a crucial role as reactor experiments enter the precision era. The positron energy spectrum of 3.5 million antineutrino inverse beta decay reactions observed by the Daya Bay experiment, in combination with the fission rates of fissile isotopes in the reactor, is used to extract the positron energy spectra resulting from the fission of specific isotopes. This information can be used to produce a precise, data-based prediction of the antineutrino energy spectrum in other reactor antineutrino experiments with different fission fractions than Daya Bay. The positron energy spectra are unfolded to obtain the antineutrino energy spectra by removing the contribution from detector response with the Wiener-SVD unfolding method. Consistent results are obtained with other unfolding methods. A technique to construct a data-based prediction of the reactor antineutrino energy spectrum is proposed and investigated. Given the reactor fission fractions, the technique can predict the energy spectrum to a 2% precision. In addition, we illustrate how to perform a rigorous comparison between the unfolded antineutrino spectrum and a theoretical model prediction that avoids the input model bias of the unfolding method.
