Abstract

The near‐infrared (NIR) phosphor‐converted light‐emitting diode (pc‐LED) is a new NIR light source with both compact structure and high efficiency, and its performances is greatly depended on the NIR phosphors. Herein, this work presents a Cr3+‐doped gadolinium aluminum gallium garnet (GAGG:Cr3+) NIR ceramic phosphor with a broadband emission in the range of 650–850 nm, and optical performances that can be regulated via crystal‐field engineering. By optimizing the Al/Ga ratio, an external quantum efficiency as high as 65% is observed. The thermal stability is enhanced with the increase of Al content, which is attributed to the broadening of bandgap and the weakening of electron–phonon coupling effect. The NIR light output powers of the fabricated device based on the GAGG:Cr3+ ceramic are up to 88.9 mW @ 10 mA and 1247.7 mW @ 200 mA, while the electro‐optical conversion efficiencies were 28.5% @ 10 mA and 17.7% @ 200 mA, respectively. In addition, the NIR pc‐LED exhibited a strong penetrability such that the veins in a palm could be clearly identified, allowing for its potential use in biosecurity applications. Based on the above considerations about the security deficiencies of smart homes, this subject aims to study and design a smart home leakage protection device, the core processor is based on Msp430, design the smallest system, complete the design of each sub-function module, for the hardware we Adopt zero-sequence current transformer, instrumentation amplification, active second-order filtering, reverse addition circuit, etc., try to convert the external signal into an analog quantity that can enter the single-chip microcomputer for control. Abstract

In order to solve the problem of geometric distortion caused by the shooting Angle during the collection of plant samples, an improved method of image geometric distortion correction based on perspective transformation model was proposed. By introducing Hough transform and connected domain marker, the target corner is detected automatically, and the detected corner is input into the perspective transformation model to realize the rapid correction of geometric deformation image. The correction experiments of a large number of geometric distortion images show that this method has better correction effect and faster processing speed.

Abstract

Inversions play an important role in disease and evolution but are difficult to characterize because their breakpoints map to large repeats. We increased by sixfold the number (n = 1,069) of previously reported great ape inversions by using single-cell DNA template strand and long-read sequencing. We find that the X chromosome is most enriched (2.5-fold) for inversions, on the basis of its size and duplication content. There is an excess of differentially expressed primate genes near the breakpoints of large (>100 kilobases (kb)) inversions but not smaller events. We show that when great ape lineage-specific duplications emerge, they preferentially (approximately 75%) occur in an inverted orientation compared to that at their ancestral locus. We construct megabase-pair scale haplotypes for individual chromosomes and identify 23 genomic regions that have recurrently toggled between a direct and an inverted state over 15 million years. The direct orientation is most frequently the derived state for human polymorphisms that predispose to recurrent copy number variants associated with neurodevelopmental disease.

Abstract

The synthesis of high-valued carbon nanomaterials from biomass has always been a hot topic. The work reports the preparation of hollow carbon nanospheres (HCNs) from potato starch with one-step carbonization, in which self-made MgO powder is utilized as the template. In this study, an attempt was made to change carbonization temperature to control HCNs in diameter, wall thickness and pore distribution. Results show that the sample obtained at 800 °C (HCN-800) has a thinner wall thickness (about 12.1 nm), smaller and more uniform diameter (average diameter of 46.2 nm), as well as possesses a high specific surface area (619.53 m2 g−1) and the largest pore volume (2.8994 cm3 g−1). An application in supercapacitor has been verified for the HCNs in the work. In the three-electrode system, the HCN-800 exhibits excellent electrochemical performance, such as superior specific capacitance (324.8 F g−1 at 0.5 A g−1), high rate performance (215.7 F g−1 at 50 A g−1) and outstanding cycling stability (92.83 % capacitance retention after 10,000 cycles). Moreover, an assembled symmetric supercapacitor shows an energy density of 11.1 Wh kg−1 at a power density of 427 W kg−1, far exceeding that of previously reported carbon electrode materials. In short, the work provides a novel way to synthesize high-value-added HCNs from cheap biomass precursors, which have potential applications in the field of supercapacitors and other energy storage devices. • A series of hollow carbon nanospheres (HCNs) are synthesized from potato starch. • The HCNs have controllable diameter and hierarchical porous structures. • The HCNs show high gravimetric capacitance and remarkable cyclic stability. • It is a new route to construct controlled HCN materials from starch.
