Scanners are commonly applied for detecting vulnerabilities in web applications. Various scanners with different strategies are widely in use, but their performance is challenged by the increasing diversity of target applications that have more complex attack surfaces (i.e., website paths) and covert vulnerabilities that can only be exploited by more sophisticated attack vectors (i.e., payloads). In this paper, we propose Scanner++, a framework that improves web vulnerability detection of existing scanners through combining their capabilities with attack intent synchronization. We design Scanner++ as a proxy-based architecture while using a package-based intent synchronization approach. Scanner++ first uses a purification mechanism to aggregate and refine attack intents, consisting of attack surfaces and attack vectors extracted from the base scanners’ request packets. Then, Scanner++ uses a runtime intent synchronization mechanism to select relevant attack intents according to the scanners’ detection spots to guide their scanning process. Consequently, base scanners can expand their attack surfaces, generate more diverse attack vectors and achieve better vulnerability detection performance. For evaluation, we implemented and integrated Scanner++ together with four widely used scanners, BurpSuite, AWVS, Arachni, and ZAP, testing it on ten benchmark web applications and three well-tested real-world web applications of a critical financial platform from our industry partner. Working under the Scanner++ framework helps BurpSuite, AWVS, Arachni, and ZAP cover 15.26%, 37.14%, 59.21%, 68.54% more pages, construct 12.95×, 1.13×, 15.03×, 52.66× more attack packets, and discover 77, 55, 77, 176 more bugs, respectively. Furthermore, Scanner++ detected eight serious previously unknown vulnerabilities on real-world applications, while the base scanners only found three of them.

SeNPs can regulate mitochondrial and lysosomal crosstalk through the TBC1D15/Fis1/Rab7-mediated signaling pathway and maintain cell homeostasis, and further effectively alleviate intestinal epithelial barrier dysfunction in IPEC-J2 cells exposed to LPS.

A low-valent Ga(i) complex, [Ga@Bi10(NbMes)2]3−, with a linear Nb–Ga–Nb fragment was synthesized by the reaction of K5Ga2Bi4 with NbMes2. This unusual Zintl cluster represents the first compound with Nb–Ga and Nb–Bi bonds.

Currently, the aviation industry is facing an oil and energy crisis and is contributing much more greenhouse gas emissions to the environment. Aircraft design approaches, such as aerodynamic shape optimization, new configuration concepts, and active control technology, have been the primary and effective means of achieving goals concerning fuel burn, noise, and emissions. For now, the design problems of relaxed static stability (RSS, an active control technique) and truss-braced wing (TBW) configurations with high-fidelity aerodynamic shape optimization methods have been investigated widely to promote aerodynamic performance. Nevertheless, they are studied almost always separately, and the combination of exploration and refined design is rarely presented. Therefore, the purposes of this work are to evaluate the benefits of RSS on a full TBW wing–body–tail configuration under various flight conditions and the effects on multi-components and to further explore the potential and analyze the aerodynamic features with the combination of shape optimization and RSS. To address these issues, on the one hand, a range of seven static stability margins are adopted to evaluate its effects with a high-fidelity Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes solver. On the other hand, seven cases of drag minimization multipoint aerodynamic design optimization are performed, which are with 600 shape variables and 13 twist variables, subject to lift coefficient, trim, and thickness constraints. The results indicate that with RSS only, the initial configuration has a 2.39% drag reduction under cruise conditions and a 3.01% and a 5.24% drag reduction under two off-design conditions. Additionally, the effects on the multi-components are observed and analyzed. Moreover, all of the optimized configurations with RSS have 2.13%, 2.42%, and 2.12% drag reductions under cruise conditions, drag divergence conditions, and near-buffet-onset conditions, respectively. The most promising optimized configuration has a lift-to-drag ratio of 24.48 with an aerodynamic efficiency of 17.14. The evaluations with a series of off-design points also present high-level aerodynamic efficiency.

In this paper, we study the cylindrical Schrödinger operator and construct a modified cylindrical Poisson–Schrödinger kernel, in analogy to the classical theory of the Laplacian in a strip. A new method expressing explicitly the modified cylindrical Poisson–Schrödinger kernels of any degree is obtained, and a formula expressing the modified cylindrical Poisson–Schrödinger integrals in terms of Nevanlinna–Schrödinger norms is deduced. Applications in the solutions of Dirichlet–Schrödinger problem are described. More specifically, the existence and uniqueness of explicit solutions to the problem mentioned above for the cylindrical Schrödinger equation are obtained. It is shown that our method yields more explicit results than do other methods. Much more challenging geometric configurations, such as a cylinder with a rough base bear new and interesting challenges arising from the lateral boundary conditions. These have-at least to our knowledge-not been addressed before.

Background and Objectives A novel wide-band dielectric mapping system, named as KODEX-EPD (EPD Solutions, Philips, Best, the Netherlands), was effectively used in the EA mapping for atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation. To date, only a few studies have concentrated on the application of the KODEX-EPD system for ablating supraventricular tachycardia or ventricular premature beats (VPBs) in human models. This study aims to assess the applicability and efficiency of a novel three-dimensional electro-anatomic (EA) mapping system to improve the success rate of ablation. Methods This study included 11 consecutive patients who underwent ablation after EA mapping with the KODEX-EPD system. Results All surgeries were successfully performed using the KODEX-EPD system, including 6 cases who underwent ablation of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (PSVT), 2 cases who received ablation of VPBs from right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT), and 3 cases who underwent cryoablation of AF. For ablation of PSVT or VPBs, the operation time was 31.4 (range, 24.0–38.0) min, in which a median operation time of 2.9 min was used to create anatomic images, and the median fluoroscopic dose was 7.4 mGy. For ablation of AF, the operation time was 56.0 (range, 49.0–62.0) min, in which a median of 4.3 (range, 3.4–5.2) min was used for constructing left atrium map, and the median fluoroscopic dose was 15.0 mGy. The operation time and the fluoroscopic dose were greatly shortened for all surgeries. Conclusion The KODEX-EPD system is an effective and safe tool to guide the EA mapping, leading to improvement in the success rate of ablation. It can promote the ablation process with the reduced fluoroscopic dose, and it is also a promising tool for complex surgeries.

For patients with colon or stomach adenocarcinoma, 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) is an essential component of systemic chemotherapy in the palliative and adjuvant settings. The post-transcriptional regulatory factor cytoplasmic polyadenylation element-binding protein 1 (CPEB1) has been reported to be linked to tumor metastasis. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between CPEB1 expression and 5-FU treatment response in patients with colon and stomach adenocarcinomas.The expression ofThe expression levels ofOur results indicate that the level of CPEB1 expression may be valuable for predicting the benefit of 5-FU treatment for patients with colon and stomach adenocarcinomas. We therefore propose that low CPEB1 expression may represent a novel biomarker for personalized 5-FU therapy.

In leader-following formation, the leader plays a central role and is more vulnerable to malicious attacks. To effectively protect the leader, this paper investigates an event-based formation control problem of autonomous surface vehicles (ASVs) with multiple attackers and actuator failure. A novel adaptive formation keeping and interception scheme is developed for ASVs. In this scheme, a formation keeping controller and an interception controller are designed under a unified framework by sharing same event-triggered mechanism and fault-tolerant structure. To bridge these two controllers, a degree and distance driven formation interception (D3FI) strategy is designed by generating defenders. It is shown that with the proposed scheme, all attackers are intercepted without affecting formation keeping of remaining ASVs if the original topology is connected. Advantages of our scheme are: 1) stable controller switching is ensured during the formation cooperation; 2) the fault-tolerance is obtained with lower actuator updating frequencies and least number of adaptive parameters for each ASV.

Interactions between soil quality and climate change may influence the capacity of croplands to produce sufficient food. Here, we address this issue by using a new dataset of soil, climate and associated yield observations for 12,115 site-years representing 90% of total cereal production in China. Across crops and environmental conditions, we show that high-quality soils reduced the sensitivity of crop yield to climate variability leading to both higher mean crop yield (10.3 ± 6.7%) and higher yield stability (decreasing variability by 15.6 ± 14.4%). High-quality soils improve the outcome for yields under climate change by 1.7% (0.5–4.0%), compared to low-quality soils. Climate-driven yield change could result in reductions of national cereal production of 11.4 Mt annually under representative concentration pathway RCP 8.5 by 2080–2099. While this production reduction was exacerbated by 14% due to soil degradation, it can be reduced by 21% through soil improvement. This study emphasizes the vital role of soil quality in agriculture under climate change.

An integral domain [Formula: see text] is said to be locally G-Dedekind if the Gorenstein global dimension of [Formula: see text] is at most one for each maximal ideal [Formula: see text]. In this paper, we show that an integral domain [Formula: see text] is not necessarily a G-Prüfer even if [Formula: see text] is a locally G-Dedekind domain, which gives a negative answer to the question raised by the first author. It follows that the localization of the G-Prüfer domain differs from the classical case of the Prüfer domain. We also study coherent locally G-Dedekind domains, called almost G-Dedekind domains. The almost G-Dedekind domains need not be integrally closed and fill the gap between the G-Dedekind domains and the G-Prüfer domains. Various examples are provided to illustrate the new concept.

Density functional theory calculations are performed to systematically investigate the electronic and magnetic properties of few-layer and bulk Fe3SiSe2 (FSS). We predict that the bulk FSS has a metallic ground state and a layered structure displaying intralayer ferromagnetic ordering and interlayer antiferromagnetic ordering. The itinerant magnetism in the FSS was determined by the Stoner criterion. Predictions of the absence of unstable phonon modes and a moderate cleavage energy of only 28.3 meV/Å2 suggest the possibility of stabilizing FSS in a monolayer form. The calculated spin–orbit coupling facilitates not only a large magnetocrystalline anisotropy energy, around 500 μeV/Fe, but also spontaneous valley polarization in odd-numbered layer systems. These systems have net magnetic moments as the magnetic moments of AFM-ordered layers are not fully compensated in the odd-numbered layer case and are predicted to show 2D metallic behaviors. The magnitude of the valley polarization in odd-numbered layered systems decreases from 18 meV with layer number but is absent in even-layered structures, thus showing an odd–even oscillation effect. Experimental realization of this bidimensional metallic magnet is, therefore, expected to widen the arena of two-dimensional materials that show exotic phenomena.
