Solitary bees are in constant decline due to climate change, pesticide toxicity, and habitat loss. Provision of nesting sites is an important conservation strategy. Various factors affect bee nesting, including parasitism, entrance orientation, nesting substrate type, and diameter. This study explored the impact of nesting substrate, cavity diameter, and entrance orientation on solitary bee nesting preferences. Additionally, it investigated the influence of landscape type and seasonality on bee nesting efficiency which is the ability of a bee to successfully establish nest. Trap nests were placed at eight locations, representing five landscapes (forest, desert, agriculture, peri-urban, and urban). These trap nests had five different nesting substrates (bamboo reeds, wooden blocks, wooden logs, mud blocks, and paper tubes). At each location, four traps were set in all directions. The results showed maximum cavity occupation in south-facing nests. Peri-urban landscapes were the most favored for nesting, followed by forests. Solitary bees primarily preferred bamboo reeds for nesting, with peak occupation from April to June. Bees favored cavities with 6- and 8-mm entrance diameters, while wasps occupied smaller diameters (< 5 mm). Overall, bee species occupied fewer nests compared to parasitic wasps. Prosaposin (PSAP), a potent neurotrophic factor, is found in neuronal and non-neuronal tissues and various biological fluids. Neuropathological conditions often alter PSAP production in neural tissues. However, little is known about its alterations in non-neural tissues, particularly in the salivary glands, which are natural reservoirs of various neurotrophic factors. In this study, we explored whether neurotoxic stimulation by kainic acid (KA), a glutamate analog, altered PSAP levels in the salivary system of rats. The results revealed that KA injection did not alter total saliva production. However, KA-induced neurotoxic stimulation significantly increased the PSAP level in the secreted saliva but decreased it in the serum. In addition, KA-induced elevated immunoreactivities of PSAP and its receptors have been observed in the granular convoluted tubule (GCT) cells of the submandibular gland (SMG), a major salivary secretory organ. Indeed, a large number of PSAP-expressing immunogold particles were observed in the secretory granules of the SMG. Furthermore, KA-induced overexpression of PSAP was co-localized with secretogranin in secretory acini (mostly in GCT cells) and the ductal system of the SMG, suggesting the release of excess PSAP from the salivary glands into the oral cavity. In conclusion, the salivary system produces more PSAP during neurotoxic conditions, which may play a protective role in maintaining the secretory function of the salivary glands and may work in distant organs. Fagonia indica Burm.f. (1768) is a medicinally important plant showing diverse pharmaceutical benefits. It is renowned for its ability to biosynthesize several anticancer and anti-inflammatory metabolites. For the eco-friendly and sustainable synthesis of phytochemicals and plant biomass, a biotechnological technique, "elicitation," is a highly effective method in various in vitro cultures. The present study includes using various concentrations of Fusarium oxysporum Schlecht. as an elicitor in callus cultures of Fagonia indica. The main goal was to achieve enhancement in biomass production and secondary metabolism. The findings demonstrated that maximum biomass production (FW: 167.42 ± 3.99 g per 100 mL; DW: 12.53 ± 1.04 g per 100 mL) was observed at 50 mg L−1 of Fusarium oxysporum as compared to the control. Secondary metabolites showed immense production (phenolic content (9.68 ± 0.23 µg mg−1); flavonoid content (2.814808 ± 0.11 µg mg−1)) in callus cultures treated with 10 mg L−1 of Fusarium oxysporum as compared with control. Moreover, the cultures possessed the highest antioxidant capacity, as determined by 2,2′-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS•+) radical cation based assay and α, α-diphenyl-β-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radical scavenging assay, ((821.51 ± 3.20 µmol TEAC per mg DW of ABTS inhibition) (91% ± 1.45 of DPPH inhibition)) at 10 mg L−1 concentration of Fusarium oxysporum, and the maximum ferric ion reducing activity (219.29 ± 2.36 µmol TEAC per mg DW) was noticed at 1.0 mg L−1 concentration of F. oxysporum. Fagonia indica cultures also indicated the highest percent inhibition against cyclooxygenases (COX-1: 51.93% ± 1.74 and COX-2: 40.57% ± 1.99), lipoxygenase (15-LOX: 65.72% ± 1.44), and phospholipase A2 (sPLA2: 49.29% ± 1.75), when treated with different concentrations of F. oxysporum. HPLC analyses showed a significant accumulation of pharmacologically active components in the treated samples, with kaempferol (1245.56 mg g−1) and myricetin (1139.63 mg g−1) as the most accumulated compounds in the cultures with 10.0 mg L−1 concentration of Fusarium in contrast to the control. The current study focuses on the preparation and optimization of lipid PLGA hybrid nanoparticles of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU-LPHNs) using a three-factor, three-level Box-Behnken design for sustained release and enhanced in-vitro anticancer efficacy. The morphology of the developed 5-FU-LPHNs was spherical and found in the range of 155.7–316.4 nm, entrapment efficiency (80%–92%), polydispersity index (0.11–0.19) and zeta potential (−19.7 mV to −29.4 mV) depicting nano-sized and stable nanoparticles. The XRD and DSC investigations showed the absence of characteristic peaks of 5-fluorouracil in the developed formulations indicating amorphization and successful encapsulation of 5-fluorouracil in the developed LPHNs. The in-vitro release showed a biphasic release pattern with an initial burst release pursued by sustained release up to 72 h. The in-vitro cytotoxicity studies of the developed 5-FU-LPHNs were found more cytotoxic than the free drug solution in HT-29 and HCT116 cancer cell lines. In both cell lines, the half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) values of 5-FU-LPHNs were approximately 2.06-fold and 1.83-fold, less than that of the 5-FU solution (p <.05). These results suggest that the developed LPHNs can be used as a potential drug delivery approach for the effective delivery of 5-fluorouracil with enhanced anticancer efficacy to colorectal tumors. The fast-growing influence of grid-interfaced photovoltaic (PV) networks makes it necessary to adhere to grid-code (GC) regulations. These regulations mandate that PV systems inject active power both during and after the grid fault occurrence, as well as provide reactive current to the grid during voltage dips, in order to prevent power system stability concerns. In this context, two novel control schemes have been proposed in this paper for grid-connected photovoltaic networks that can support low-voltage ride-through (LVRT). The proposed control techniques have been demonstrated to be simple and efficient in the event of severe voltage dips, i.e., work up to a voltage drop of 90% of the nominal grid voltage. Our first approach involves an enhanced reactive current injection strategy that provides reactive power support to the power grid during voltage dips without any additional devices. The control structure is comprised of a voltage level estimator and a reactive current controller. The voltage level estimator obtains power grid voltage, while the reactive current controller computes active−reactive current commands. It is particularly noteworthy that the proposed scheme generates active current as much as possible according to the voltage dips and tracks the active current reference correctly, where conventional strategies fail to cope. The second control method for LVRT presented in this research work involves using hardware, specifically a crowbar. The use of a crowbar is the most straightforward method to provide support to the power system, bypassing over-current during voltage dips and keeping the current within the normal converter rating. The control strategies proposed in this paper are validated in MATLAB/Simulink under symmetrical and unsymmetrical severe voltage dips as well as grid voltage harmonics, and a detailed comparison study with a state-of-the-art PQ-based fault-ride-through controller has been conducted. It mainly focuses on fabricating and designing formulations and manufacturing processes to ensure predefined product quality. It is based on the ICH Guidelines Q8 for pharmaceutical development, Q9 for quality risk management, and Q10 for pharmaceutical quality systems. Some of the important effective elements of QbD are to define the target profile that what is the requirement of the pharmacist, physician, and patient (TPP-QTPP) then measuring the criticality for achieving that target (CQA) and analyzing the risk assessment of variables associated with materials and controlling processes to produce consistent quality over time. Background and Aim: Foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) is an infectious disease of cloven-hoofed animals, including buffalo, cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs, causing major economic losses to the local farmers and, overall, to the national economy of the country. This study aimed to detect FMDV serotypes in year-round FMD outbreaks, hematological and biochemical changes, and oxidative stress in FMDV-infected cattle and buffaloes in the district of Quetta, Balochistan, Pakistan, and the socioeconomic impact of FMD outbreaks on farmers. Materials and Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional study in the district of Quetta, Balochistan, Pakistan, where FMD virus (FMDV) serotypes were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Hematological, biochemical, and oxidative analyses were performed by analyzing the blood of FMDV-infected and non-infected animals. Information on the associated risk factors was obtained through a structured questionnaire by interviewing farmers in each FMD-affected farm. Results: Thirty-four out of 38 farms (89%, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 75%-97%) were positive for FMD by ELISA. Higher FMD infection was detected in farms with a herd size of <50 animals (50%, 17/34), followed by >100 animals (32%, 11/34) and 51-100 animals (18%, 6/34). Fifty-seven percent (114/200, 95% CI: 50%-64%) of animals were positive for FMD. Of these, 61% (69/114) were cattle and 39% (45/114) were buffalo. FMD positivity was higher in females (86%, 98/114) than in males (14%, 16/114) and higher in animals older than 2 years of age (52%, 59/114). On average, farmers lose U.S. dollars 3000 annually due to FMD outbreaks. Animals infected with FMDV had significantly (p ≤ 0.05) white blood cell counts and significantly (p ≤ 0.05) lower hemoglobin and total protein concentrations in buffalo and cattle, whereas infected cattle showed significantly (p ≤ 0.05) lower albumin levels. Globulin levels were lower in buffaloes infected. Alanine aminotransferase levels were lower in infected cattle (p ≤ 0.05). Creatinine levels were higher in infected buffalo (p ≤ 0.05). Urea and phosphorus concentrations were higher in FMDV-infected cattle and buffalo (p ≤ 0.05). Calcium levels were lower in infected cattle and buffalo (p ≤ 0.05). Catalase enzyme activity in infected cattle and buffaloes was significantly lower (p < 0.05). Lipid peroxidation was significantly higher in FMDV-infected cattle and buffalo (p ≤ 0.05). Conclusion: This study confirmed serotype O circulation among cattle and buffalo in year-long FMD outbreaks in the Quetta District of Balochistan. Blood analysis identified a parameter deviated from the normal level due to FMDV infection. In addition, the outbreak of FMD has a significant negative economic impact on livestock farmers. The sarcomatoid RCC is a sarcomatoid components admixed with other RCC histologic subtypes. Data of 2,695 patients collected from SEER database from 20 0 0-2018. The mean age was 62.8 years with 68.2% males and 82.2% being White. In known stage, 55.8% cases had distant metastasis at presentation with lung being the most common site. 5-years survival with surgery was 27%. Background: Sarcomatoid renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is defined by the presence of any amount of sarcomatoid components admixed with other RCC histologic subtypes. Our investigation utilizes a large, diverse set of sarcomatoid RCC patients to summarize clinical, demographic, and pathological factors along with demographic disparities that may affect the prognosis and survival of sarcomatoid RCC patients. Methods: The Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database was employed to compile data from 2000 to 2018 from 2695 patients diagnosed with sarcomatoid RCC. Results: The mean age for sarcomatoid RCC diagnosis is 62.8 years. Males (68.2%) and White patients (82.6%) were more likely to be diagnosed with sarcomatoid RCC. Among the 64.4% of tumors with known size, 35.4% were less than 7 cm, 27.6% were 7.1 to 10 cm, and 36.4% were larger than 10 cm. Among the 95.8% of patients with known stage, 15.3% were localized, 28.9% were regionalized, and 55.8% were found in distant sites. Among the 44.2% of cases with known metastases site, lung was found to be the most common metastatic site. Surgery was the most common treatment (70.9%). While the overall 5-year survival was 18.1%, it was 27.1% among patients who underwent surgery. Independent risk factors for mortality include age > 60 years, distant stage, and tumor size > 10 cm, per our multivariate analysis. Conclusion: Sarcomatoid RCC most commonly affects White males in their seventh decade. Increased age, distant stage, and size > 10 cm tumor size have associations with unfavorable prognosis. Background There are varying reports about United Kingdom medical students' exposure and teaching methods regarding plastic and reconstructive surgery. To date, no systematic review has been done looking at this topic. Methods Three databases (PubMed, Embase, and Medline) were searched from January 1, 2011 to July 20, 2023 for studies that assessed United Kingdom medical students' exposure to plastic surgery and suggested recommendations to improve teaching. Three authors performed data extraction and screening, as per the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. Results Fifteen studies were included. Medical students' average current exposure to plastic surgery was 29.44%, but this was highly variable across the studies. The most common method of currently teaching plastic surgery was through lectures (34% of studies), and the most common suggested method of teaching was through courses (40% of studies). Many of the studies (12/15) were deemed as being at high risk of bias. Conclusion More recent studies need to be performed to assess current levels of teaching of plastic surgery in the United Kingdom medical school curriculum. Greater exposure to plastic surgery through lectures and integrated clinical placements is needed to ensure equitable access for all medical students to plastic surgery as a profession. Significant progress has been made in the field of gene therapy, but effective treatments for brain tumors remain challenging due to their complex nature. Current treatment options have limitations, especially due to their inability to cross the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and precisely target cancer cells. Therefore options that are safer, more effective, and capable of specifically targeting cancer cells are urgently required as alternatives. This current study aimed to develop highly biocompatible natural biopolymeric chitosan nanoparticles (CNPs) as potential gene delivery vehicles that can cross the BBB and serve as gene or drug delivery vehicles for brain disease therapeutics. The efficiency of the CNPs was evaluated via in vitro transfection of Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP)-tagged plasmid in HEK293-293 and brain cancer MG-U87 cell lines, as well as within in vivo mouse models. The CNPs were prepared via a complex coacervation method, resulting in nanoparticles of approximately 260 nm in size. In vitro cytotoxicity analysis revealed that the CNPs had better cell viability (85%) in U87 cells compared to the chemical transfection reagent (CTR) (72%). Moreover, the transfection efficiency of the CNPs was also higher, as indicated by fluorescent emission microscopy (20.56% vs. 17.79%) and fluorescent-activated cell sorting (53% vs. 27%). In vivo assays using Balb/c mice revealed that the CNPs could efficiently cross the BBB, suggesting their potential as efficient gene delivery vehicles for targeted therapies against brain cancers as well as other brain diseases for which the efficient targeting of a therapeutic load to the brain cells has proven to be a real challenge. The Ovate Family Proteins (OFPs) gene family houses a class of proteins that are involved in regulating plant growth and development. To date, there is no report of the simultaneous functional characterization of this gene family in all members of U's Triangle of Brassica. Here, we retrieved a combined total of 256 OFP protein sequences and analyzed their chromosomal localization, gene structure, conserved protein motif domains, and the pattern of cis-acting regulatory elements. The abundance of light-responsive elements like G-box, MRE, and GT1 motif suggests that OFPs are sensitive to the stimuli of light. The protein-protein interaction network analysis revealed that OFP05 and its orthologous genes were involved in regulating the process of transcriptional repression through their interaction with homeodomain transcription factors like KNAT and BLH. The presence of domains like DNA binding 2 and its superfamily speculated the involvement of OFPs in regulating gene expression. The biotic and abiotic stress, and the tissue-specific expression analysis of the RNA-seq datasets revealed that some of the genes such as BjuOFP30, and BnaOFP27, BolOFP11, and BolOFP10 were highly upregulated in seed coat at the mature stage and roots under various chemical stress conditions respectively which suggests their crucial role in plant growth and development processes. Experimental validation of prominent BnaOFPs such as BnaOFP27 confirmed their involvement in regulating gene expression under salinity, heavy metal, drought, heat, and cold stress. The GO and KEGG pathway enrichment analysis also sheds light on the involvement of OFPs in regulating plant growth and development. These findings have the potential to serve as a forerunner for future studies in terms of functionally diverse analysis of the OFP gene family in Brassica and other plant species. It is well recognized that heterocyclic compounds have exceptional biomedical applications, which has led scientists to become increasingly interested in their use in this field in the recent past. It is the aim of this study, using a multistep method based on thiazolidinone derivative synthesis, to synthesize thiazolidinone derivatives derived from pyrazine molecules (1–12). As a result of analyzing 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, and HREI-MS data, the structures of these derivatives were determined. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of these drugs was also determined alongside the donepezil (IC50 = 10.10 ± 0.10 µM) to determine their potential as anti-Alzheimer agents. Among the screened derivatives, 1 (IC50 = 4.10 ± 0.20 µM), 2 (IC50 = 2.20 ± 0.20 µM), 4 (IC50 = 2.30 ± 0.20 µM), 5 (IC50 = 5.80 ± 0.30 µM), 6 (IC50 = 6.30 ± 0.20 µM), 8 (IC50 = 5.20 ± 0.10 µM), 9 (IC50 = 5.20 ± 0.40 µM), 10 (IC50 = 8.30 ± 0.40 µM), and 11 (IC50 = 8.10 ± 0.70 µM) showed potent activity. In addition, the synthesized moieties were screened against E. coli to determine whether there were any antimicrobial properties. It was found that most of the compounds were more potent inhibitors of bacterial growth in comparison to streptomycin, the reference drug. There have been several molecular docking experiments conducted to gain a deeper understanding of how these compounds interact with the active sites of enzymes to gain a greater understanding of their functional mechanisms. The brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) involves stress regulation and psychiatric disorders. The Val66Met polymorphism in the BDNF gene has been linked to altered protein function and susceptibility to stress-related conditions. This in silico analysis aimed to predict and analyze the consequences of the Val66Met mutation in the BDNF gene of stressed individuals. Computational techniques, including ab initio, comparative, and I-TASSER modeling, were used to evaluate the functional and stability effects of the Val66Met mutation in BDNF. The accuracy and reliability of the models were validated. Sequence alignment and secondary structure analysis compared amino acid residues and structural components. The phylogenetic analysis assessed the conservation of the mutation site. Functional and stability prediction analyses provided mixed results, suggesting potential effects on protein function and stability. Structural models revealed the importance of BDNF in key biological processes. Sequence alignment analysis showed the conservation of amino acid residues across species. Secondary structure analysis indicated minor differences between the wild-type and mutant forms. Phylogenetic analysis supported the evolutionary conservation of the mutation site. This computational study suggests that the Val66Met mutation in BDNF may have implications for protein stability, structural conformation, and function. Ceramics are the oxides of metals and nonmetals with excellent compressive strength. Ceramics usually exhibit inert behavior at high temperatures. Magnesium aluminate (MgAl2O4), a member of the ceramic family, possesses a high working temperature up to 2000°C, low thermal conductivity, high strength even at elevated temperatures, and good corrosion resistance. Moreover, Magnesium Aluminate Nanoparticles (MANPs) can be used in the making of refractory crucible applications. This study focuses on the thermal behavior of Magnesium Aluminate Nanoparticles (MANPs) and their application in the making of refractory crucibles. The molten salt method is used to obtain MANPs. The presence of MANPs is seen by XRD peaks ranging from 66° to 67°. The determination of the smallest crystallite size of the sample is achieved by utilizing the Scherrer formula and is found to be 15.3 nm. The SEM micrographs provided further information, indicating an average particle size of 91.2 nm. At 600°C, DSC curves show that only 0.05 W/g heat flows into the material, and the TGA curve shows only 3% weight loss, which is prominent for thermal insulation applications. To investigate the thermal properties, crucibles of pure MANPs and the different compositions of MANPs and pure alumina are prepared. During the sintering, cracks appear on the crucible of pure magnesium aluminate. To explore the reason for crack development, tablets of MgAl2O4 are made and sintered at 1150°C. Ceramography shows the crack-free surfaces of all the tablets. Results confirm the thermal stability of MANPs at high temperatures and their suitability for melting crucible applications. The growing energy crises and accumulating organics in water have caused significant threats to the economy and environment in the current time. To minimize the impact of these problem, here we established a 2D/2D interaction between MoS 2 and g-C 3 N 4 through simple hydrothermal and calcination processes and was further loaded with Au nanoparticles. The visible light driven photocatalysis was arrived by splitting water and degrading hazardous pollutant in wastewater. The large surface to surface interaction exceedingly increased the charge transfer and separation for highly speedy photocatalysis. About 220 μmol H 2 was available from 2Au/9MS/CN nanocomposite in 1 h which was 24.44 times higher than the amount available from bare g-C 3 N 4. Further, all the photocatalysts delivered acceptable eradication activity for 2-chlorphenol and 68% pollutant was removed in 1 h. The highly accelerated photocatalysis with 2Au/9MS/CN nanocomposite is related to the extended visible light purchasing due to the surface plasmon resonance of the Au metal and enhanced charge separation arrived from the well-established 2D/2D heterojunction. We hope that this work will attract major attention of the researchers towards the preparation of dimension-matched 2D/2D heterojunctional nanocomposites for energy production and eradication of organics from water. Objectives: To review published clinical trials which assessed the effects of deep transverse friction massage on pain and range of motion in patients with adhesive capsulitis. Methods: A systematic review was conducted according to PRISMA guidelines. Literature search was performed in MEDLINE, AMED, EMBASE, HMIC, CINAHL, PEDRO, and SPORTDiscus. Two independent reviewers performed screening of the articles retrieved from different databases. Clinical trials published in English language from the earliest record to March 2022 that reported effects of deep transverse friction massage/Cyriax's friction massage on pain and/or range of motion in patients with diagnosis of adhesive capsulitis were included. The Critical Appraisal Skills Programme was used for quality assessment of the included studies. Results: A total of six studies reporting on 226 adhesive capsulitis patients were included in the systematic review. All the six studies were randomized controlled clinical trials. On the Critical Appraisal Skills Programme tool, four of the six studies had a score of 8/11, while the other two studies received a score of 7/11 and 6/11. Out of these six trials, four reported that pain was significantly (P<0.05) improved in the deep transverse friction massage group as compared to the control group. Regarding range of motion outcome, five studies showed that range of motion was significantly (P<0.05) improved in the deep transverse friction massage group while only one study showed non-significant results. Objectives: Non-adherence to tuberculosis (TB) treatment is the leading cause of the increase in drug resistance cases. This study will determine the effectiveness of pharmaceutical-care-based interventions coupled with short messages delivered by a pharmacist on treatment outcomes and adherence among TB patients. Methods: The study will be conducted in TB Control Center of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital, Islamabad and District Bannu TB Control Center time period will be from August 2019 to September 2021. The patients will be included into the control group (usual care) or the intervention group pharmaceutical care and SMS reminder. The primary outcome includes a change in mean score from baseline in treatment outcomes and adherence, measured by Morisky Medication Adherence Scale, and clinic appointment attendance registration. Secondary outcomes include health-related quality of life of patients, disease knowledge, and patient satisfaction with the intervention. Result: The major issues in patients with TB are cure rate and medication adherence. The method anticipated in this manuscript could set the foundation of pharmaceutical care and mobile SMS for the future provision of care to improve TB treatment outcomes. Advancement in mobile phone (MP) technology has revolutionized the lifestyle. In recent years, we observed that MP technology had been involved in almost all aspects of life, such as communication purposes, e-commerce, mobile baking, and social media connectivity. So, it becomes a hot research topic to select the best MP that fulfills the desired feathers requirement. In this paper, the expert's familiarity with the examined objects is factored into the initial judgments under the T-spherical fuzzy sets (T-SFSs) environment. The T-SFS is the extension of the picture fuzzy (PF) set (PFS), which gives wider scope for finding the most precise options than existing fuzzy frameworks. The multiattribute decision-making (MADM) is a common and valuable method for aggregating information. For MADM, various aggregation operators (AOs) have been created over the years. The article introduces the newly proposed approach T-spherical fuzzy (T-SF) confidence level weighted averaging T − SFWA c and T-SF confidence level weighted geometric T − SFWG c . Also, some desired properties of AOs are discussed, and the T-SF entropy measure is introduced for selecting the weight criteria. A MADM framework is introduced, on the behalf of proposed operators. The proposed MADM framework is applied to solve the real-life example of consumers' preferences to show effectiveness and practicality. Little information exists on the variation in morphological characteristics, nutritional value, ruminal degradability, and molecular structural makeup of diverse whole-plant silage corn (WPSC) cultivars among different growing regions. This study investigated the between-regions (Beijing, Urumchi, Cangzhou, Liaoyuan, Tianjin) discrepancies in five widely used WPSC cultivars in China (FKBN, YQ889, YQ23, DK301 and ZD958), in terms of 1) morphological characteristics; 2) crude protein (CP) chemical profile; 3) Cornell Net Carbohydrate and Protein System (CNCPS) CP subfractions; 4) in situ CP degradation kinetics; and 5) CP molecular structures. Our results revealed significant growing region and WPSC cultivar interaction for all estimated morphological characteristics (P < 0.001), CP chemical profile (P < 0.001), CNCPS subfractions (P < 0.001) and CP molecular structural features (P < 0.05). Except ear weight (P = 0.18), all measured morphological characteristics varied among different growing regions (P < 0.001). Besides, WPSC cultivars planted in different areas had remarkably different CP chemical profiles and CNCPS subfractions (P < 0.001). All spectral parameters of protein primary structure of WPSC differed (P < 0.05) due to the growing regions, except amide II area (P = 0.28). Finally, the area ratio of amide I to II was negatively correlated with the contents of soluble CP (δ = -0.66; P = 0.002), CP (δ = -0.61; P = 0.006), non-protein nitrogen (δ = -0.56; P = 0.004) and acid detergent insoluble CP (δ = -0.43; P = 0.008), in conjunction with a positive correlation with moderately degradable CP (PB1; δ = 0.58; P = 0.01). In conclusion, the cultivar of DK301 exhibited high and stable CP content. The WPSC planted in Beijing showed high CP, SCP and NPN. The low rumen degradable protein of WPSC was observed in Urumchi. The most prevalent type of cancer worldwide is mouth cancer. Around 2.5% of deaths are reported annually due to oral cancer in 2023. Early diagnosis of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), a prevalent oral cavity cancer, is essential for treating and recovering patients. A few computerized techniques exist but are focused on traditional machine learning methods, such as handcrafted features. In this work, we proposed a fully automated architecture based on Self‐Attention convolutional neural network and Residual Network information fusion and optimization. In the proposed framework, the augmentation process is performed on the training and testing samples, and then two developed deep models are trained. A self‐attention MobileNet‐V2 model is developed and trained using an augmented dataset. In parallel, a Self‐Attention DarkNet‐19 model is trained on the same dataset, whereas the hyperparameters have been initialized using the whale optimization algorithm (WOA). Features are extracted from the deeper layers of both models and fused using a canonical correlation analysis (CCA) approach. The CCA approach is further optimized using an improved WOA version named Quantum WOA that removes the irrelevant features and selects only important ones. The final selected features are classified using neural networks such as wide neural networks. The experimental process is performed on the augmented dataset that includes two sets: 100× and 400×. Using both sets, the proposed method obtained an accuracy of 98.7% and 96.3%. In this manuscript, Intensity interrogation of sensitivity of the surface plasmon polariton waves (SPPs) is coherently manipulated, at the interface of four‐level dielectric medium and silver metal using prism geometry. Sensitivity of SPPs with respect to refractive index is written as dI/dnd. A useful control in sensitivity is reported with probe and control fields detuning, Rabi frequency and decay rate. Sensitivity is a function of probe field detuning and control field Rabi frequency. The maximum sensitivity is reported to 400 Wm−2/RIU with probe field detuning and control field Rabi frequency, while minimum sensitivity is investigated to 34 Wm−2/RIU with control field phase and control field Rabi frequency. Efficient and cost-effective biosorbents derived from biowaste are highly demanding to handle various environmental challenges, and demonstrate the remarkable synergy between sustainability and innovation. In this study, the extraction of uranium U(VI) was investigated on biowaste activated carbon (BAC) obtained by chemical activation (phosphoric acid) using Albizia Lebbeck pods as biowaste. The biowaste powder (BP), biowaste charcoal (BC) and BAC were evaluated by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) with nitrogen adsorption for thermal properties, chemical structures, porosity and surface area, respectively. The pHPZC for acidic or basic nature of the surface and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis were performed for BAC. The morphological and elemental analysis were performed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX). The extraction of uranium U(VI) ions from aqueous solutions using BAC as sorbent was investigated by using different variables such as pH, contact time, initial uranium U(VI) concentration and BAC dose. The highest adsorption (90.60% was achieved at 0.5 g BAC dose, 2 h contact time, pH 6, 10 ppm initial U(VI) concentration and with 200 rpm shaking speeds. The production of this efficient adsorbent from biowaste could be a potential step forward in adsorption of uranium to meet the high demand of uranium for nuclear energy applications. A retrospective review of 100 preprocedure documentation forms was conducted, and it was found that 95% of the forms were complete and accurate. The remaining 5% had incomplete or inaccurate information in areas such as informed consent, preoperative history, and medication. The study suggests that the lack of adherence to guidelines may be due to a lack of knowledge and inadequate supervision. The study analyzed 59 patients who were implanted with Portacaths between 2017 and 2023 at Shifa International Hospital Islamabad. The most common indication for Portacath insertion was malignancy, with breast cancer being the most common type. The study found that while Portacaths are generally associated with low complication rates, infections by different bacteria, particularly pseudomonas aeruginosa, were the most common complications. Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic incurred numerous impediments on day-to-day emergency medical services including Opioid Substitution Therapy (OST) for People Who Inject Drugs (PWID). To prevent treatment cessation and lost to follow-up, we tried to implement an alternate mitigating intervention like telehealth. Methodology: This research was conducted on a cohort of OST clients during the COVID-19 pandemic (from 1st April 2020 to 31st March 2021) in Narayanganj, a port city adjacent to the capital Dhaka and one of the most COVID-affected districts, with a high PWID and HIV burden. The participants were male, female and transgender women who were all ex-PWID and were under OST services. A telehealth intervention model was designed and implemented in the OST clinic at Narayangonj. Quantitative data were collected during pre and post-intervention of telehealth services. Results: A total of 297 OST clients of Narayangonj were provided with telehealth services from April 2020 to March 2021. The participants were predominantly male (98.7%), 37.7% were between 30–39 years of age. 39.4% of the telephone calls were related to COVID-19-related symptoms followed by 21.7% for opioid withdrawal, 12.5% for COVID-19 & vaccine-related information, 11.3% for chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension and asthma, 9.3% for Skin and Soft Tissue Infection (SSTI), and 5.8% for methadone-related effects. There was an improvement in treatment retention (14.4% to 87%), loss to follow-up (20% to 8%), and overdose-related death (1.3% to 0%) from pre to post intervention of telehealth services. Conclusion: From our experience, we found that the telehealth intervention is beneficial for the OST clients and thus ensures treatment continuity and retention, both of which serve as crucial success indicators of the OST programme. Using simply the mobile phone, this intervention can reduce structural and logistical needs like clinic spaces and fewer human resources, ensuring cost-effectiveness and value for money. Background: Considering the rapidly spreading monkeypox outbreak, WHO has declared a global health emergency. Still in the category of being endemic, the monkeypox disease shares numerous clinical characters with smallpox. This study focuses on determining the most effective combination of autoregressive integrated moving average model to encapsulate time dependent flow behaviour of the virus with short run prediction. Methods: This study includes the data of confirmed reported cases and cumulative cases from eight most burdened countries across the globe, over the span of May 18, 2022, to December 31, 2022. The data was assembled from the website of Our World in Data and it involves countries such as United States, Brazil, Spain, France, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, United Kingdom, Germany and Canada. The job of modelling and short-term forecasting is facilitated by the employment of autoregressive integrated moving average. The legitimacy of the estimated models is argued by offering numerous model performance indices such as, root mean square error, mean absolute error and mean absolute prediction error. Results: The best fit models were deduced for each country by using the data of confirmed reported cases of monkeypox infections. Based on diverse set of performance evaluation criteria, the best fit models were then employed to provide forecasting of next twenty days. Our results indicate that the USA is expected to be the hardest-hit country, with an average of 58 cases per day with 95% confidence interval of (00—400). The second most burdened country remained Brazil with expected average cases of 23 (00—130). The outlook is not much better for Spain and France, with average forecasts of 52 (00—241) and 24 (00—121), respectively. Conclusion: This research provides profile of ten most severely hit countries by monkeypox transmission around the world and thus assists in epidemiological management. The prediction trends indicate that the confirmed cases in the USA may exceed than other contemporaries. Based on the findings of this study, it remains plausible to recommend that more robust health surveillance strategy is required to control the transmission flow of the virus especially in USA. This article focuses on discrete survival data analysis, employing a doubly Type-I censoring scheme (DT1SC) under a Bayesian framework for parameters estimation in a 3-component mixture geometric (3-CMG) distribution. The time is considered as discrete in this paper, presenting a departure from continuous approaches in survival analysis. Rapeseed meal, a nutritious organic fertilizer (OF), contributes to improving soil environment and crop productivity. However, there are also problems, namely slow fertilizer efficiency and low nutrient utilization during the growing season. This 2‐year field trial was conducted to explore the effect of biochar addition on improving the nutrient availability of OF through a comparative study of various biochar application rates under rice‐rapeseed rotation conditions. The findings revealed that, compared to the individual application of chemical fertilizers (CF), OF alone decreased rice yield (2%/2%) and rapeseed yield (6%/10%) in 2019/2020. Compared with OF, combining biochar (15 t ha−1) with OF (OF + B15) significantly increased rice yield (17%/10%) and rapeseed yield (25%/20%) in the first/second year. Additionally, OF + B15 still increased rice yield (14%/7%) and rapeseed yield (12%/13%) for two consecutive years compared to CF. The co‐application of biochar and OF had positive impacts on soil physicochemical properties and enzymes. Compared to OF, OF + B15 elevated soil organic carbon (SOC) by 57%–81%, soil catalase 19%, invertase 14%–20%, urease 17%–19%, and phosphatase 13%–17% during rice season, and similarly increased SOC by 77%–90%, soil catalase 14%–16%, invertase 14%–20%, urease 18%–24%, and phosphatase 16%–17% in rapeseed season. Biochar addition improved soil conditions and enzymatic activities, and the available nutrient supply of OF. Also, the co‐application of biochar and rapeseed meal surpassed the effect of chemical fertilizer alone on the growth and yield of crops. Therefore, biochar coupling with organic fertilizer is an effective fertilization strategy based on resource recycling, which promotes both crop yield and sustainable agriculture. Objective: To document the frequency of various classes of Angle’s malocclusion and its treatment need among children of both gender between 13-17 years age attending government high schools in Peshawar District. Study Design: Cross sectional study. Setting: Khyber Medical University Institute of Dentistry. Period: Jan 2020 to Nov 2021. Material & Methods: 900 patients of both genders between the ages of 13 and 17 were used in the current investigation. A performa was used to record malocclusions e.g. Angle’s classification, overjet, overbite, open bite and cross bite. For various malocclusions, the Dental Health Component (DHC) of the Index of Orthodontic Treatment Need (IOTN) index was reported. Results: We looked at 900 students between the ages of 13 and 17 whose guardians had signed a written consent form. Among the 900 students who were examined, 60% (540) were males, and 40% (360) were females. 175 individuals had normal dental health, 420 had class 1 malocclusions, 265 had class 2s, and 40 had class 3s. Overjet was excessive in 210 cases and reduced in 53. Overbite was excessive in 201 cases and reduced in 34. In 185, there was an open bite. The difference was significant (P < 0.05). In 489 cases, DHC grade I and II, 310 cases, grade III, and 101 cases, grade IV, and grade V. The difference was significant (P< 0.05). Conclusion: The most frequent malocclusion is class 1. DHC grades I and II were more frequently observed in patients. Malocclusion can be identified using the Dental Health Components (DHC) of the Index of Orthodontic Treatment Need (IOTN). Inflammation is a mediator of a number of chronic pathologies. We synthesized the diethyl (9Z,12Z)-octadeca-9,12-dien-1-ylphosphonate, called NKS3, which decreased lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced mRNA upregulation of proinflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α) not only in primary intraperitoneal and lung alveolar macrophages, but also in freshly isolated mice lung slices. The in-silico studies suggested that NKS3, being CD36 agonist, will bind to GPR120. Co-immunoprecipitation and proximity ligation assays demonstrated that NKS3 induced protein–protein interaction of CD36 with GPR120in RAW 264.7 macrophage cell line. Furthermore, NKS3, via GPR120, decreased LPS-induced activation of TAB1/TAK1/JNK pathway and the LPS-induced mRNA expression of inflammatory markers in RAW 264.7 cells. In the acute lung injury model, NKS3 decreased lung fibrosis and inflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α) and nitric oxide (NO) production in broncho-alveolar lavage fluid. NKS3 exerted a protective effect on LPS-induced remodeling of kidney and liver, and reduced circulating IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α concentrations. In a septic shock model, NKS3 gavage decreased significantly the LPS-induced mortality in mice. In the last, NKS3 decreased neuroinflammation in diet-induced obese mice. This research investigates the potential of biomass-coal blends as an alternative fuel source, focusing on coal from Darra Adam Khel, Cherat, Harnoi, and Daola in the KPK province of Pakistan and Parthenium weed biomass. The study assesses the impact of varying biomass ratios on proximate analysis (net calorific value (NCV), sulfur content, volatile matter, ash content, and moisture content) and calorific values of the composite fuel. Results reveal a linear NCV decline with increasing biomass, affecting high NCV coals less. Daola and Darra coal, starting at 30.43 and 31.32 MJ/kg, decreased to 20.15 MJ/kg and 19.71 MJ/kg with 66% biomass. Sulfur content, notably high in high NCV coals, significantly reduces with biomass; Darra coal decreases from 3.31% to below 1% with 66% biomass. Volatile matter uniformly increases with incremental biomass, enhancing combustibility. Cherat coal, initially at 8% volatile matter, rises to 50% with 66% biomass. Biomass effectively reduces ash content, particularly beneficial for low NCV coals. Harnoi coal, starting with 73% ash content, decreases to 30% with 66% biomass. However, biomass addition raises moisture content due to challenges in removing moisture from Parthenium weed. In summary, these findings optimize biomass-coal blends for enhanced fuel performance, address environmental concerns, and improve combustion efficiency, highlighting their potential as sustainable and eco-friendly energy sources. Purpose: The globe has experienced a devastating COVID-19 pandemic, putting the planet under lockdown and causing social alienation. The near collapse of social and economic activities is disrupting the supply chain. Customer-required products were in low supply across the world. A slew of new digital firms springs up to fill the need during this time. This study aims to reach a holistic goal by better understanding customers' digitalisation behaviour. The first step is to review existing consumer digital psychology research to map this study's current knowledge of the pandemic's early and late phases and the impact of digital businesses on consumer behaviour. Finally, it provides lawmakers with a future agenda for limiting the digital psychology of consumers and enterprises. Design/methodology/approach: This study used the Scopus and Web of Science databases to extract records to follow the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses statement. The final 57 papers were applied after the screening process. The digital environment, psychological digitalisation and behavioural changes were recognised as three primary classes based on a comprehensive examination of the previous literature. This study identified possible difficulties in earlier literature: the scarcity of collaborative and transdisciplinary research on digital psychology, which various academics have emphasised in the past. On the other hand, these investigations were primarily conducted in the psychological surroundings of technology users. Findings: According to this study, digital psychology has improved significantly during the pandemic and many new digital start-ups have arisen. This study also used digital research to create a framework for a pandemic strategic response plan to help minimise the current COVID-19 pandemic and prepare for future outbreaks. Soil fertility in Pakistan is hindered by insufficient and unstable organic matter, leading to stagnation and a decline in overall agricultural productivity. Methodology A pot study was conducted in 2018-19 comprised of four treatments including T1 = Recommended NPK fertilizer, T2 = NPK+FYM, T3 = NPK + Poultry manure, and T4 = NPK + Plant residue based on Complete Randomized Design (CRD) and was replicated thrice. Result The results exhibited significant differences in peas’ growth, yield, and nutrient use efficiency across the organic amendments. Among them, the higher plant height (70.63 cm), pod length (9.37 cm), and pod yield (158.63 g pot-1 ) was observed in T3 followed by T2. Regarding nutrient concentration and uptake, both T2 and T3 treatments elevated leaf tissue levels of N (4.76% and 5.03%), P (1.01% and 0.98%), and K (2.27% and 2.31%). These values were statistically comparable, accompanied by higher but non-significant P uptake (0.61 and 0.67 g pot-1) and K uptake (1.13 and 1.21 g pot-1) for the respective treatments. Further, higher nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium use efficiency (49.4, 5.20, and 42.0%) were recorded in T3 followed by T2. Together with that significantly positive correlation between soil properties and pod yield was found which reflects the nutrient-supplying power of soil under organic amendments. Conclusion Consequently, it is suggested that the joint utilization of organic additives of any source and chemical fertilizer is necessary for increasing yield and nutrient use efficiency over sole chemical fertilizer application in calcareous soils. The concept of Green marketing has become prevalent globally, there is little demand and knowledge about sustainable goods in Pakistan. Research on green marketing available is mostly concerned on developing nations, under representing impoverished countries such as Pakistan. The present study has tried to develop a model on impact of Green Marketing Orientation (GMO)on Green Brand Image (GBI) and Green Customer Loyalty (GCL) in the domain of Pakistani customers. Consequently, study objectives are to evaluate the influence of GMO on Green Brand Image (GBI) and Green Customer Loyalty (GCL). The targeted population was managerial cadre employees of reputed electronic companies of Pakistan. A Quantitative study was used and data was collected via questionnaire (survey). The SPSS 21 was used to evaluate the data. The findings revealed that (a) the GMO is a significant predictor of Green Brand Image and Green Customers Loyalty. The study supports the idea that consumer's propensity to make eco-friendly purchases is influenced by the green marketing orientation, green brand image and green customer loyalty. The spin–orbit coupling (SOC) in 2D van der Waals (vdW) heterostructures opens a fascinating and versatile platform to implement the intriguing quantum-engineered spintronic devices for practical applications. This review comprehensively outlines the modern-era progress of investigating the inherent magnetism of atomically thin 2D materials. Firstly, in this review, the most recent developments of synthesis, characterizations, functionalities, and spin textures in 2D magnetic materials are summarized in detail. Secondly, we conferred the well-known phenomena related to the proximity effect, spin–orbit torque (SOT), spin valve magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ), spin field effect transistor (FET) and magneto memristive-based applications. In addition, we also explored the possible interplay between 2D magnetic materials and associated band topology for spin caloritronics. Finally, we provided our perspective on the recent and upcoming challenges and goals of this promising research area, which leads the 2D magnetic materials to the modern era of energy-efficient quantum computing. Dysprosium (Dy3+)-substituted Ni–Co nanoparticles were synthesized by sol–gel technique. Structural and morphological analyses were accomplished by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and field emission transmission electron microscopy (FE-TEM). The crystallite size and lattice parameter followed a decreasing trend up on increase in Dy3+ substitution for the concentration x ≤ 0.15, which is due to the hindrance in crystallite growth and deposition of Dy3+ on grain boundaries, respectively. The lattice strain was increased from 5.027 to 8.814 × 10 - 3 with enhancement in Dy3+ content. The morphological studies showed uniform distribution of particles with slight agglomeration and the average particle size was calculated to be 22.17 nm, which is in good agreement with XRD results. The magnetic studies were executed by vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) over a wide range of applied magnetic field. The soft ferrimagnetic nature of these ferrites was revealed by narrow (M–H) curve. The magnetic parameters exhibited decreasing behavior upon increasing amount of substitution. The coercivity (Hc) was recorded to be 1097 Oe for x = 0.00 and saturation magnetization (Ms) was calculated in the range 27.04–40.86 emu/g. The anisotropy constant and magneton number were found to be in the range of 9887–46,703 erg/cm3 and 1.21–1.71 µB, respectively. Cancer progression is a multifaceted process that entails several stages and demands the persistent expression or activation of transcription factors (TFs) to facilitate growth and survival. TFs are a cluster of proteins with DNA-binding domains that attach to promoter or enhancer DNA strands to start the transcription of genes by collaborating with RNA polymerase and other supporting proteins. They are generally acknowledged as the major regulatory molecules that coordinate biological homeostasis and the appropriate functioning of cellular components, subsequently contributing to human physiology. TFs proteins are crucial for controlling transcription during the embryonic stage and development, and the stability of different cell types depends on how they function in different cell types. The development and progression of cancer cells and tumors might be triggered by any anomaly in transcription factor function. It has long been acknowledged that cancer development is accompanied by the dysregulated activity of TF alterations which might result in faulty gene expression. Recent studies have suggested that dysregulated transcription factors play a major role in developing various human malignancies by altering and rewiring metabolic processes, modifying the immune response, and triggering oncogenic signaling cascades. This review emphasizes the interplay between TFs involved in metabolic and epigenetic reprogramming, evading immune attacks, cellular senescence, and the maintenance of cancer stemness in cancerous cells. In this manuscript, we develop TOPSIS (Technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution) method in the setting of bipolar fuzzy environment which has the ability to deal the data while keeping in view the positive and negative aspects. By using bipolar fuzzy sets, we establish the novel concept of rating the numerous preferences of any object described through the connection number(CN) of set pair analysis(SPA). In this regard, we extend the TOPSIS method based on the connection number(CN) of set pair analysis(SPA) in the frame of bipolar fuzzy sets. For the sake of verification, effectiveness and superiority of our method, we conduct the comparative study of some real life problem related to decision making theory. With the rapid development of information technology, the conception of smart healthcare has progressively come to the fore. Smart healthcare utilizes next-generation technologies, such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), big data and cloud computing to transform intelligently the existing medical system-making it more efficient, more reliable, and personalized. In this work, skin data are collected using dedicated hardware from mobile health units-working as nodes. The collected samples are uploaded to the cloud for further processing using a novel multi-modal information fusion framework, which performs skin lesion segmentation, followed by classification. The proposed framework has two main functional blocks: Segmentation and classification. In each block, we have a performance booster, which works on the principle of information fusion. For lesion segmentation, a hybrid framework is proposed, which utilizes the complementary strengths of two convolutional neural network (CNN) architectures to generate the segmented images. The resultant binary images are later fused using joint probability distribution and marginal distribution function. For lesion classification, a 30-layered CNN architecture is designed, which is trained on the HAM10000 dataset. A novel summation discriminant correlation analysis technique is used to fuse the extracted features from two fully connected layers. To avoid feature redundancy, a feature selection method "Regular Falsi" is developed, which down samples the extracted features into the lower dimensions. The selected features are finally classified using an extreme learning machine classifier. Five skin benchmark datasets (ISBI2016, ISIC2017, ISBI2018, ISIC2019, and HAM10000) are used to evaluate both segmentation and classification frameworks using average accuracy, false-negative rate, sensitivity, and computational time, whose results are impressive compared to state-of-the-art methods. Cellulose, the basic biopolymer of plants, has unique optical characteristics due to its inherent birefringence. In this review, we summarize reported birefringence values for cellulose from the literature and describe its measurement techniques, including ellipsometry, interferometry, spectrophotometry and photothermometry. We also discuss the main dispersion models that have been proposed to explain the wavelength dependence of cellulose birefringence. Furthermore, we outline the diverse applications of cellulose birefringence, with a particular focus on biomedicine. Finally, we discuss the future prospects for cellulose birefringence. Overall, this review provides valuable insights into the basic research and practical application of cellulose birefringence and will stimulate new research and innovation in various fields. Vaccination is without a doubt one of the most efficient ways to stop the COVID-19 pandemic from spreading. The goal of this study was to look into the acceptance and resistance to COVID-19 vaccination and its associated components using the Health Belief Model, which is a framework for changing health behaviours (HBM). The current study is quantitative; hence data was collected from attendants of patients admitted to hospitals in Pakistan's top-tier cities using a survey-based self-administered questionnaire. Nonprobability convenient sampling was utilised to approach the respondents. The model was tested in two stages using partial least squares (variance-based structural equation modelling). The measurement model's reliability and validity imply that the data is reliable and valid. Except for the impact of benefits on accepting behaviour, all of the study postulated relationships are supported by the results. The study agenda adds to our understanding of health care, immunisation, consumer behaviour, and behavioural research. It adds to the body of knowledge in the fields of immunisation and behavioural research by examining people's behaviours and changes during the worldwide mass vaccination period. The study investigated the effects of supplementing broiler diets with poppy (Papaver somniferum L.) seed meal (PSM) on growth performance, nutrient digestibility, faecal microbiota, and blood profiles. A total of 250 unsexed 1 d old broilers were allocated to five distinct treatment groups. PSM was incorporated into the diets at varying levels: 0 % (PSM 0), 5 % (PSM 5), 10 % (PSM 10), 15 % (PSM 15), and 20 % (PSM 20). The findings indicated that growth performance, including weight gain, feed intake, and feed conversion ratio (FCR), was significantly improved (P<0.05) in the PSM 20 group compared to the control. However, carcass weight experienced a notable decrease (P<0.05) in the PSM 20 group. Regarding nutrient digestibility, PSM supplementation led to reduced crude protein digestibility. Nevertheless, apparent metabolizable energy and ash content were significantly enhanced (P<0.05) in the PSM 15 and PSM 20 groups. Notably, faecal microbiota also experienced substantial improvement (P<0.05) in the PSM 20 group. In conclusion, the study demonstrates that incorporating poppy seed meal at a rate of 20 % in broiler diets enhances growth performance, improves nutrient digestibility, and positively influences faecal microbiota composition. Green-synthesized nanoparticles from pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo L.) seed extracts are economical and eco-friendly. Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) and their selective cytotoxicity towards HCT116 and African Green Monkey Kidney, Vero cells were investigated. Chemical fingerprinting, heat stability, and 2D-images of nanoparticle size and morphology were determined using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), and Scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive X-ray (SEM-EDX) on AgNPs. UV-vis examination shows surface plasmons in the wide peak at 417 nm, indicating polydisperse nanoparticles. Small silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) below 2 µm demonstrated a rodlike form and a tendency to agglomerate. SEM-EDX element analysis and fingerprinting confirmed the material as AgNPs. TEM indicated that the nanoparticles were generally spherical or ellipsoidal, equally dispersed, and averaged 26.08 nm in diameter with negligible aggregation. The AgNPs are also stable at a temperature of 220°C, indicating that the green material is quite robust at 150°C to 400°C. According to cytotoxic studies, AgNPs are toxic to cancer cells (HCT 116 cells), however they have no effect on Vero cells. AgNPs and tubulin (TUB) domain active sites have a significant affinity, according to molecular docking analysis. Purpose: Limited data exist regarding outcome and morbidity associated with portosystemic shunts in the pediatric transplant population. Our study assesses the outcomes of pediatric patients who underwent a portosystemic shunt procedure, both with and without liver transplantation (LT). Methods: This study retrospectively reviewed the medical records of pediatric patients aged 0-19 years who underwent shunt placement between 2003 and 2017 at a tertiary care center. The analysis included cases of shunt placement with or without LT. Results: A total of 13 pediatric patients were included in the study with median age of 8.8 years. Among the cases, 11 out of 13 (84.6%) underwent splenorenal shunt, 1 (7.7%) underwent a mesocaval shunt, and another 1 (7.7%) underwent a Modified Rex (mesoportal) shunt. Additionally, 5 out of 13 (38.5%) patients had LT, with 4 out of 5 (80.0%) receiving the transplant before shunt placement, and 1 out of 5 (20.0%) receiving it after shunt placement. Gastrointestinal bleeding resulting from portal hypertension was the indication in all cases. A total of 10 complications were reported in 5 patients; the most common complication was anemia in 3 (23.1%) patients. At the most recent follow-up visit, the shunts were functional without encephalopathy, and no deaths were reported. Conclusion: Shunt placement plays a crucial role in the management of patients with portal hypertension. Our study demonstrates favorable long-term outcomes in pediatric patients who underwent shunt placement. Long term shunt outcomes were similar and unremarkable in patients with LT and without LT.
