kinderalimentatie ,co-ouderschap - Abstract

The Compact Linear Collider (CLIC) is a multi-TeV high-luminosity linear e+e- collider under development. For an optimal exploitation of its physics potential, CLIC is foreseen to be built and operated in a staged approach with three centre-of-mass energy stages ranging from a few hundred GeV up to 3 TeV. The first stage will focus on precision Standard Model physics, in particular Higgs and top-quark measurements. Subsequent stages will focus on measurements of rare Higgs processes, as well as searches for new physics processes and precision measurements of new states, e.g. states previously discovered at LHC or at CLIC itself. In the 2012 CLIC Conceptual Design Report, a fully optimised 3 TeV collider was presented, while the proposed lower energy stages were not studied to the same level of detail. This report presents an updated baseline staging scenario for CLIC. The scenario is the result of a comprehensive study addressing the performance, cost and power of the CLIC accelerator complex as a function of centre-of-mass energy and it targets optimal physics output based on the current physics landscape. The optimised staging scenario foresees three main centre-of-mass energy stages at 380 GeV, 1.5 TeV and 3 TeV for a full CLIC programme spanning 22 years. For the first stage, an alternative to the CLIC drive beam scheme is presented in which the main linac power is produced using X-band klystrons. From the analysis of a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.63 pb-1 taken during the 1990 run of LEP at centre of mass energies between 88.2 GeV an 94.2 GeV, the tau decays {Mathematical expression} and their charge conjugates have been studied. The following branching ratios have been measured; {Mathematical expression}, {Mathematical expression}, Br(τ- → π- (K-)vτ)=11.9±0.7±0.7%, BR (τ- → ρ- vτ)= 22.4±0.8±1.3%, in good agreement with world averages. The measured electronic and muonic branching ratios lead to a measurement of the strong coupling constant, αs (mτ) = 0.26-0.12 +0.09. Extrapolating the αs value from mτ to mZ yields αs (mZ) = 0.109-0.028 +0.012. The average polarization Pτ of taus produced in Z → τs τs decays has also been measured using the above decay modes. The weighted mean of the polarizations obtained from the four decay modes is Pτ=-0.24±0.07. This value of Pτ gives, in the improved Born approximation, a ratio between the axial and vector coupling constants of the tau of υτ/aτ = 0.12 ± 0.04, and hence a value of the effective electroweak mixing parameter sin2 θW(mZ 2). © 1992 Springer-Verlag., 0, SCOPUS: ar.j, info:eu-repo/semantics/published

In the last few decades courts have been confronted with a variety of cases concerning the effects of the religious views and practices of parents on their children. In the Netherlands, family law courts, for example, have had to decide on the choice between secular or religious schooling, on religious rituals like circumcision and baptism, and on the exposure of children to (non-)religious practices, when dealing with the contact arrangements. The case law of the European Court of Human Rights shows that family law courts in several other European countries have also had to rule on the impact of parents’ religious practices on their children in the context of parental rights, such as custody and contact rights. In this contribution we investigate the factors used by Dutch judges to assess the best interests of the child in cases on religious disputes between parents. Furthermore, we analyse whether the Dutch case law concerning this topic is in conformity with the case law of the European Court of Human Rights. Therefore, we present which types of factors can be found and in which way these factors are assessed in the case law of the European Court of Human Rights.

This contribution presents the results of an extensive Dutch case law study on the way in which religion and culture play a role in the considerations of judges in family law decisions regarding children. In addition to a quantitative overview of the published case law in the Netherlands, the decisions are analysed on the basis of themes such as blood transfusion, culture differences and identity development, rituals (circumcision and baptism), and choosing a school. In the analysis, a distinction is made between the rights of the child and the rights of parents. Furthermore, the criteria which the judge deploys to balance the rights of the child and the rights of its parents are addressed. Finally, the extent to which international legal standards can be identified in the considerations of the judge is discussed. From the 79 cases in which the judge consider to religion and culture, it appears that these aspects can have both positive and negative effects upon the best interests of the child, and in particular upon the identity development of the child. In these cases, the judge uses criteria such as: harm to the health of the child, social connections with others of the same religious and cultural background, and practical day-to-day considerations.

The problem of modeling the relationship between a set of covariates and a multivariate response with correlated components often arises in many areas of research such as genetics, psychometrics, signal processing. In the linear regression framework, such task can be addressed using a number of existing methods. In the high-dimensional sparse setting, most of these methods rely on the idea of penalization in order to efficiently estimate the regression matrix. Examples of such methods include the lasso, the group lasso, the adaptive group lasso or the simultaneous variable selection (SVS) method. Crucially, a suitably chosen penalty also allows for an efficient exploitation of the correlation structure within the multivariate response. In this paper we introduce a novel variant of such method called the adaptive SVS, which is closely linked with the adaptive group lasso. Via a simulation study we investigate its performance in the high-dimensional sparse regression setting. We provide a comparison with a number of other popular methods under different scenarios and show that the adaptive SVS is a powerful tool for efficient recovery of signal in such setting. The methods are applied to genetic data. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract

- Abstract
It has been known for decades that black holes behave as thermodynamic objects and, as such, have an entropy, which was acquired in exact form as the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy. However, the origin of this entropy, and in particular its proportionality to the area of the horizon, remained unexplained. Motivated by this mystery, several authors examined the possibility of entanglement entropy as a source of black hole entropy, by considering a scalar ?eld in the ground state and tracing out the degrees of freedom inside an imaginary sphere, analogous to the interior of the black hole. The resulting entanglement entropy between the two regions turned out to scale with the area of their mutual boundary. In the simplest model the scalar ?eld is represented by a system of coupled harmonic oscillators. After an introduction to the phenomenon of quantum entanglement and the associated entanglement entropy, we will review the problem of two coupled oscillators in the ground state and derive the entanglement entropy using an approach in Fock space, as opposed to the standard method involving integrals in positon space. This will also allow us to look at some excited states of the system. Subsequently we will try to extend this approach to a system of N coupled harmonic oscillators and derive the entanglement entropy between an inner and outer region of oscillators.

- Abstract

- Abstract
For the first stage, an alternative to the CLIC drive beam scheme is presented in which the main linac power is produced using X-band klystrons., Comment: 57 pages, 27 figures, 12 tables, published as CERN Yellow Report. The concept of multidimensional discrimination is claimed to pose considerable challenges for judicial practice. The methods for tackling discrimination on more than one ground have been extensively discussed in the literature but not yet comprehensively analysed empirically. The present study compares and analyses the case law of the Dutch, Norwegian, Swedish and Danish equality bodies concerning gender-plus discrimination in the labour market. Based on 74 cases, the comparison shows that neither integrated equality bodies nor anti-discrimination legislation is a prerequisite to protect against multidimensional discrimination, and that the appointment of comparators occurs on pragmatic grounds. These findings suggest that multidimensional discrimination can be adequately dealt with in judicial practice.

Xenotransplantation of porcine organs holds promise of solving the human organ donor shortage. The use of α-1,3-galactosyltransferase knockout (GTKO) pig donors mitigates hyperacute rejection, while delayed rejection is currently precipitated by potent immune and hemostatic complications. Previous analysis by our laboratory suggests that clotting factor VIII (FVIII) inhibitors might be elicited by the structurally restricted xenoantibody response which occurs after transplantation of either pig GTKO/hCD55/hCD59/hHT transgenic neonatal islet cell clusters or GTKO endothelial cells.A recombinant xenoantibody was generated using sequences from baboons demonstrating an active xenoantibody response at day 28 after GTKO/hCD55/hCD59/hHT transgenic pig neonatal islet cell cluster transplantation. Rhesus monkeys were immunized with GTKO pig endothelial cells to stimulate an anti-non-Gal xenoantibody response. Serum was collected at days 0 and 7 after immunization. A two-stage chromogenic assay was used to measure FVIII cofactor activity and identify antibodies which inhibit FVIII function. Molecular modeling and molecular dynamics simulations were used to predict antibody structure and the residues which contribute to antibody-FVIII interactions. Competition ELISA was used to verify predictions at the domain structural level.Antibodies that inhibit recombinant human FVIII function are elicited after non-human primates are transplanted with either GTKO pig neonatal islet cell clusters or endothelial cells. There is an apparent increase in inhibitor titer by 15 Bethesda units (Bu) after transplant, where an increase greater than 5 Bu can indicate pathology in humans. Furthermore, competition ELISA verifies the computer modeled prediction that the recombinant xenoantibody, H66K12, binds the C1 domain of FVIII.The development of FVIII inhibitors is a novel illustration of the potential impact the humoral immune response can have on coagulative dysfunction in xenotransplantation. However, the contribution of these antibodies to rejection pathology requires further evaluation because "normal" coagulation parameters after successful xenotransplantation are not fully understood.

Here, we provide Rock Eval and black carbon (BC) characteristics and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) distribution coefficients (KD) for sediments from the Danube, Elbe, Ebro, and Meuse river basins. PAH desorption kinetic parameters were determined using sequential Tenax extractions. We show that residual carbon (RC) from Rock Eval analysis is an adequate predictor of fast, slow, and very slow desorbing fractions of 4-ring PAHs. RC correlated better than BC, the latter constituting only 7% of RC. A dual domain sorption model was statistically superior to a single domain model in explaining KD for low molecular weight PAHs, whereas the opposite was observed for high molecular weight PAHs. Because particularly the 4-ring PAHs are bioavailable and relevant from a risk assessment perspective and because their fast desorbing fractions correlate best with RC, we recommend RC as a relevant characteristic for river sediments.
