Bangladesh has been encountering a budget deficit since 1972 because of a decrease in the source of income. This paper aims to examine the effect of budget deficit financing on economic growth in Bangladesh throughout 1981–2018. Using secondary data, the paper uses the cointegration test, vector error correction mechanism (VECM) and Granger causality test. Johansen's cointegration test outcomes find that the study variables are cointegrated and subsequently have a long-run nexus among the variables. The study finds that in the long run, government domestic debt (GDD), government external debt (GEXD) and money supply (MS) affect positively economic growth (RGDP). The outcomes of the VECM approach express that in the short run, GDD, external debt and MS negatively affect economic growth. Also, short-run causality runs from the GDD, GEXD and MS to economic growth. The Granger causality test result shows unidirectional causal nexus running from GDD to RGDP, RGDP to external debt and GEXD to MS, and bidirectional causal nexus between MS and GDD in Bangladesh. The study suggests the governments should enhance moderate levels of domestic and external borrowing and uses it in productive and efficient ways to accelerate economic growth in Bangladesh. At present, the determination of dopamine (DA) is enormously necessary for the human body. Since then, it has played a crucial role in the brain that affects mood, sleep, memory, learning, and concentration. Dopamine insufficiency is a threat to human health. Dopamine recognition is important to avoid this problem. Copper oxide (CuO) nanoparticles are one of the potentials which can be used in the detection of dopamine level in the sample. In this work, CuO was synthesized by a simple chemical precipitation technique and modified by polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as a capping agent. The nanomaterials manufactured are used for the detection of dopamine in 0.1 M PBS medium at room temperature. The CuO/PVA-modified electrode shows better electrocatalytic activity than CuO/GCE (glassy carbon electrode). The constructed dopamine biosensor of copper oxide-PVA nanocomposites also has extraordinary selectivity, stability, sensitivity (183.12 μA mM-1 cm-2), and a minimum level detection limit of 0.017 μM, is inexpensive, and has minimal effort and rapid detection of dopamine. Monkeypox is a zoonotic disease caused by the monkeypox virus (MPXV). It was an epidemic infection among African countries over the last few decades. In 2022, MPXV has been broke through in Africa, America, Eastern Mediterranean, Europe, South-East Asia, and Western Pacific region. This widespread infection of MPXV has created panic across the nations, and the WHO has declared a global public health emergency due to the multi-country MPX outbreak. We prepared this brief report on the MPX outbreak 2022 by extracting data from Scopus, PubMed, and website databases. We manually read all the relevant articles from our target databases. The rapid spread of MPX infection in around a 100 countries has threatened the global healthcare systems. The available epidemiological data revealed that sexual orientations and encounters are potential contributing factors for monkeypox infections. However, it has not been categorized as a sexually transmitted infection. Also, MPXV can transfer from 1 individual to others in many ways. The empowerment of this old foe has created additional pressure and threat on the healthcare authorities during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Effective preventive measures, social awareness, and therapeutic approaches can reduce this extra burden on the healthcare system across the countries. Focusing only on sexual orientations and encounters as risk factors for MPX infection might increase stigma that will be another barrier to controlling and preventing MPXV spread. Therefore, we should be careful in delivering messages about MPX infection to the general population. Also, we recommend repositioning the existing smallpox vaccines and antivirals in MPX infection until the development of specific antiviral agents against this infection. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

BACKGROUND: Abnormalities in hematology and comorbidities might have a role in chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients. However, the exact relationships between hematological parameters and the severity of CKD are not well understood. Also, the underlying mechanisms remain under investigation. The present study aimed to evaluate the association of different blood parameters and comorbidities among hospitalized CKD patients in Bangladesh. Meth ods: The present study enrolled admitted CKD patients at Evercare Hospital Ltd, Dhaka, Bangladesh, from January 1, 2021, to August 1, 2021. For this study, the demographic and clinical information of the patients were collected. Then some routine blood tests for the hematological profile of CKD patients were performed. Finally, several statistical methods were performed and data interpretations were done to evaluate the role of hematological changes on CKD patients. RESULTS: Among 300 patients, early-stage CKD patients (ESCKDP) and advanced-stage CKD patients (ASCKDP) were 153 and 147, respectively. The decreased levels of hemoglobin (Hb) and red blood cell (RBC) in ASCKDP were observed. However, the present study found increased levels of corpuscular Hb in ASCKDP than ESCKDP. Also, the present study noticed correlations between these changes and the severity of CKD. Also, we observed a significant difference in age and body mass index between ESCKDP and ASCKDP. CONCLUSIONS: Based on our results, lower Hb and RBC levels may use in assessing the severity and the treatment decisions of CKD patients in the hospital setting.
