Abstract

A noise jammer is designed in this paper. By transmitting ultra-low frequency (ULF) signals, it can directly block the receiving component of the audio sensor, saturate it and deprive it of the ability to extract and restore the received audio signal, without inflicting any damage on the human and environment. An appropriate source of noise is chosen and modulated in different ways to guarantee that the modulated noise is absolutely irregular. An effective transmission method is adopted to maximize the transmission distance, coverage of frequency spectrum and the level of saturation.

Abstract

With the development of information technology, the scale of data center infrastructure has become larger and larger, which has always brought many challenges, such as unbalanced power load, high energy consumption, small scalable space and so on. In recent years, a distributed power supply structure, namely microbus power supply, has emerged, which is different from the traditional power distribution mode in computer room. It can adjust the power load distribution online in real time. This paper analyses the advantages of this micro bus structure power supply mode, and optimizes the cabinet power collection strategy based on branch and bound algorithm. By modeling and simulating the power consumption of the computer room in a real data center, the experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can greatly reduce the unbalance rate of the three-phase power supply equipment in the upper end of the computer room. Compared with the traditional power supply mode, it can reduce the maximum power imbalance by 49.88%.

Abstract

One-bit compressed sensing aims to recover unknown sparse signals from extremely quantized linear measurements which just capture their signs. In this paper, we propose a nonconvex ℓp(0 < p < 1) minimization model for one-bit compressed sensing problem and define the set of ℓp effectively s-sparse signals which contains genuinely s-sparse signals. Utilizing properties of covering number, we show that our method can recover the direction of ℓp effectively s-sparse signals with error order. We also employ thresholded one-bit measurements to estimate the magnitude of signals and prove that any ℓp effectively s-sparse bounded signal x can be estimated using augmented ℓp minimization model and empirical distribution function method respectively. Especially, to recover ℓp effectively s-sparse signals in practice, we introduce an adaptive binary iterative thresholding algorithm which can be utilized without knowing the sparsity of underlying signals. Numerical experiments on both synthetic and real-world data sets are conducted to demonstrate the superiority of our algorithm. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

• NiS nanocrystals were in situ prepared on the surface of Ni nanoparticles via fast and controllable sulfurizing. • The strongly coupled NiS/Ni interface strengthens the electron transfer between Ni and NiS. • Electro-enriched S sites boost the catalytic activity of HER. • NiS/Ni interface facilitates the formation of Ni oxyhydroxide for OER. High-performance electrocatalysts for water splitting are desired due to the urgent requirement of clean and sustainable hydrogen production. To reduce the energy barrier, herein, we adopt a facile in-situ surface modification strategy to develop a low-cost and efficient electrocatalyst for water splitting. The synthesized mulberry-like NiS/Ni nanoparticles exhibit excellent catalytic performance for water splitting. Small overpotentials of 301 and 161 mV are needed to drive the current density of 10 mA cm−2 accompanying with remarkably low Tafel slopes of 46 and 74 mV dec−1 for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), respectively. Meanwhile, a robust electrochemical stability is demonstrated. Further high-resolution X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analyses reveal that the intrinsic HER activity improvement is attributed to the electron-enriched S on the strongly coupled NiS and Ni interface, which simultaneously facilitates the important electron transfer, consistent with the electrochemical impedance results. The post characterizations demonstrate that surface reconstructed oxyhydroxide contributes to the OER activity and NiS/Ni is an OER precatalyst. Abstract

The aprotic lithium–oxygen (Li–O2) battery has triggered tremendous efforts for advanced energy storage due to the high energy density. However, realizing toroid-like Li2O2deposition in low-donor-number (DN) solvents is still the intractable obstruction. Herein, a heterostructured NiS2/ZnIn2S4is elaborately developed and investigated as a promising catalyst to regulate the Li2O2deposition in low-DN solvents. The as-developed NiS2/ZnIn2S4promotes interfacial electron transfer, regulates the adsorption energy of the reaction intermediates, and accelerates O–O bond cleavage, which are convincingly evidenced experimentally and theoretically. As a result, the toroid-like Li2O2product is achieved in a Li–O2battery with low-DN solvents viathe solvation-mediated pathway, which demonstrates superb cyclability over 490 cycles and a high output capacity of 3682 mA h g–1. The interface engineering of heterostructure catalysts offers more possibilities for the realization of toroid-like Li2O2in low-DN solvents, holding great promise in achieving practical applications of Li–O2batteries as well as enlightening the material design in catalytic systems.

Abstract

The growing demand for lithium batteries with higher energy densities requires new electrode chemistries. Lithium metal is a promising candidate as the anode material due to its high theoretical specific capacity, negative electrochemical potential and favorable density. However, during cycling, low and uneven lithium ion concentration on the surface of anode usually results in uncontrolled dendrite growth, especially at high current densities. Here we tackle this issue by using lithiophilic montmorillonite as an additive in the ether-based electrolyte to regulate the lithium ion concentration on the anode surface and thus facilitate the uniform lithium deposition. The lithiophilic montmorillonite demonstrates a pumping feature that improves the self-concentrating kinetics of the lithium ion and thus accelerates the lithium ion transfer at the deposition/electrolyte interface. The signal intensity of TFSI− shows negligible changes via in situ Raman tracking of the ion flux at the electrochemical interface, indicating homogeneous ion distribution, which can lead to a stable and uniform lithium deposition on the anode surface. Our study indicates that the interfacial engineering induced by the lithiophilic montmorillonite could be a promising strategy to optimize the lithium deposition for next-generation lithium metal batteries. • 5-HT 2A and -2C receptors were upregulated in lumbosacral cord motoneurons in 8-week DM rats. • Serotonergic paraneurons were downregulated in the urethra in 8-week DM rats. • PGP9.5, was decreased in both bladder and urethra in 8-week DM rats. Lower urinary tract (LUT) dysfunction is the most common complication of diabetes mellitus (DM). An involvement of the 5-HT 2A receptor in spinal micturition control has been demonstrated in urethane anaesthetized DM rats in which i.v. administration of the 5-HT 2A/2C receptor agonist 2,5-methoxy-4-iodoamphetamine (DOI), stimulated high frequency oscillations (HFOs) and improved micturition. However, the mechanisms involved in these effects are not completely understood. The present work showed that 5-HT 2A and -2C receptors were upregulated in lumbosacral cord motoneurons, and the number of serotonergic paraneurons were downregulated in the urethra in DM group. The importance of the downregulation of urethral paraneurons in DM remains to be elucidated but may be related to the reduced urethral sensation caused by the disease. Abstract

This work gains a sharp sufficient condition on the block restricted isometry property for the recovery of sparse signal and corresponding upper bound estimate of error. Under the certain assumption, the signal with block structure can be stably recovered in the presence of noisy case and the block sparse signal can be exactly reconstructed in the noise‐free case. Besides, an example is proposed to exhibit the condition is sharp. Numerical simulations are carried out to demonstrate that authors' results are verifiable and l2 /l1 minimisation method is robust and stable for the recovery of block sparse signals. Abstract

Graphical abstract Abstract Transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) is well known as an effective treatment for inoperable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). In this study, a novel embolic agent of ion-exchange poly(hydroxyethyl methacrylate-acrylic acid) microspheres (HAMs) was successfully synthesized by the inverse suspension polymerization method. Then, HAMs were assessed for their activity as an embolic agent by investigating morphology, particle size, water retention capability, elasticity and viscoelasticity, microcatheter/catheter deliverability, cytotoxicity, renal arterial embolization to rabbits and histopathological examinations. The ability of drug loading and drug eluting of HAMs was also investigated by using doxorubicin (Dox) as the model drug. HAMs showed to be feasible and effective for vascular embolization and to be as a drug vehicle for loading positively charged molecules and potential use in the clinical interventional chemoembolization therapy. Statement of significance A novel embolic agent of ion-exchange poly(hydroxyethyl methacrylate-acrylic acid) microspheres (HAMs) was successfully synthesized by the inverse suspension polymerization method and was used as a drug vehicle to load positively charged molecules by ion absorption. Then, a series of assessments including physicochemical properties, mechanical properties, drug-loading capability, and embolic efficacy were performed. Surface and cross-section morphology and pore size of fully hydrated HAMs were first investigated by Phenom ProX SEM, which intuitively disclosed the "honeycomb" network morphology. Abstract

This paper propose a novel multi-channel speech enhancement method by combining the wiener filtering and subspace filtering with a convex combinational coefficient. Because of using both the advantage in noise reduction of the subspace speech enhancement technology and the stable characteristic of the Wiener filtering technology, the proposed multi-channel speech enhancement method has a better performance in robustly removing colored noise from noisy speech signals. Simulation examples confirm that under different colored noise, the proposed multi-channel speech enhancement method can obtain better speech recovery results than the traditional subspace multi-channel speech enhancement method and the multi-channel Wiener filter speech enhancement method.
