Occupational burnout is a serious and increasingly discussed topic. Its serious consequences do not affect only workers employed in social services, but also employees of individual facilities. Appropriate prevention could help to stop the loss of qualified workers. This thesis explores possible preventive measures against the burnout focusing among field social workers in the Mladá Boleslav District. The theoretical part of this thesis defines occupational burnout, describes its causes of origin, phases, its disease pattern, treatment, prevention including specific risks related to this profession. The final chapter focuses on the possibilities of personal development aimed at preventing the occurrence of occupational burnout. For the practical part, a combined research method was selected applying the quantitative approach of questionnaires for social service workers together with a qualitative method of conducting interviews with senior executives. The results are presented in verbal as well as graphical form. The aim of this research was to find out about the level of prevention among selected social service workers in Mladá Boleslav. The thesis looks into the health literacy of pupils at Primary school. The main aim of this work is to compare the pupils's health literacy with the computer literacy at chosen Primary school. To find out the level of knowledge, awareness, attitudes and perceptions of pupils in connection with computer and health literacy. Determine the causes of less interest in physical activities and the link between physical activity and health of pupils. The theoretical part deals with the definition of the basic concepts such as health literacy, computer literacy, healthy living, physical activity, etc… with the help of the specialized literature. This part describes the relationship between the pupil's physical activity, healthy lifestyle and health literacy. This thesis deals with the topic of Primary prevention of student's risk behavior at the chosen primary schools in the district of Strakonice. The main goal of this thesis is to find out if the students are educated enough about the risk behavior and it's prevention, and to evaluate prevention activities that the schools implement within the risk behavior. To fulfil the main and partial goals two research methods are used - questionnaire designed for students and interview with school prevention methodologist. The theoretical part of this thesis deals with the charasteristics of risk behavior and detailed description of chosen types of risk behavior. Moreover it deals with primary prevention, it's characteristics and describes prevention programs that school can use. This part also points out the prevention base of schools, thus institutions cooperating with school and documents that the schools support within the prevention of risk behavior. In the practical part, information gained from the research are analyzed and evaluated and this serves to verify the set goals of the thesis. The main emphasis of this thesis is to determine premedical skills level of selected primary school pupils. It compares 8th and 9th graders knowledge gained during the curricular subjects for primary schools and post-project ones. The project itself is focused on human health and first aid in emergency situations and it combines all didactic techniques including practical training at local medical high school. The thesis consists of two main parts, where theoretical part briefly introduces the history of first aid within the Red Cross, gives an insight into first aid legislation and shows fundamental first aid techniques. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to find out the awareness of selected grammar and secondary school students about the issue of STDs. It was carried out by a standardized questionnaire, distributed among selected grammar and secondary school students. My bachelor's thesis contains theoretical part dealing with specific bacterial STDs. The individual chapters summarize especially the prevention of bacterial STDs, possible ways of infection, courses of the diseases, treatment, diagnostics and consequences of these diseases. In the practical part of the bachelor's dissertation, a survey was carried out at a chosen school, which concerns the recognition of symptoms of the diseases and general awareness of the topic bych smazala of the sexually transmitted diseases. I have come up with brief suggestios, which are mentioned in the text, based on the results of my survey.

The theoretical part of the diploma thesis "The influence of media on perception of body image by adolescents" describes the developmental stage of adolescence, body image and terms connected with this issue. The period of adolescence is showed from many points of view. Subsequently, there follows the description of media, advertising and strategies which influnce the perception of media and also the adolescents' behavior as consumers. The empirical part contains the result of the questionnaire which was attended by a group of respondents aged between 15 to 20. The task was to determine the influence of advertising as means of media on body image by adolescents and how this youth groug perceives its body. In the final part there is a summary of findings of the perception of adolescents' body image and the influence of media on its perception.

This dissertation is based on a survey carried out in a particular Prague high school with both sports classes students and universal classes students. It is also based on school curriculum documents analysis. The author's aim was to reveal how a first aid issue is being dealt at this particular school. As well as find out the level of knowledge in first aid area both types of students possess. The last but not least goal was analysing students answers and evaluating whether there are differences between sports students' knowledge and universal students' knowledge. This dissertation study, The Knowledge of Children of a Selected Secondary School about Poverty, characterizes the concept of poverty from different angles. The theory part concretely defines the concept of poverty. It describes types of poverty, treats the topic of reasons behind and outcomes of the mentioned global problem. This work delineates the marking of poverty in the Czech Republic and maps out in general the situation of the global problem in the world. It demarcates the meaning of The World Bank, which effectively decreases poverty in the world. The closing argument of the theory part treats the topic of preventing poverty, and organizations which deal specifically with poverty. The empirical portion of the dissertation is handled through the vehicle of research, realized through questionnaire surveys with the help of non-standardized questionnaires, which ascertain poverty awareness of pupils of the selected middle school. This bachelor thesis presents an integration of the physical activities into the weekly regime of older school aged children. The main research is focused at comparing children from two elementary schools, one located in the center of Prague and the other one on the outskirts of the capital city, with considering their sporting and physical interests. The theoretical part deals with the necessity to incorporate the physical activities for this age category into their daily life, describes appropriate (or inappropriate) sports activities and health complications resulting from a lack of movement. In the practical part of the thesis, the questionnaire research compares the frequency of the children's physical activities integration in two mentioned elementary schools. Then follow an analysis of the data collected and a final summary of the thesis issue. The purpose of my bachelor thesis is to compare and find out in which geographical areas the older school aged children incorporate more physical activities into their lives, so basically whether are children from a big town center or a small town district better off.

The main goal of this thesis is to analyse the level of amateur first aid knowledge of pupils from grades 6. to 9. at a particular primary school in Dobříš. To achieve this, I utilised partial goals, through which I was trying to find out whether the knowledge of grade 8. pupils of the chosen school was influenced by the fact that there are no lessons taught about theoretical amateur first aid in grade 7. Further, I was trying to establish, if grade 9.pupils have better knowledge of the problem compared to grade 6.pupils; and what grade 9.pupils of the chosen school know about amateur first aid. I was also interested in the fact whether there was any difference in the knowledge of this field between girls and boys. My thesis consists of a theoretical part, in which I researched the given problematic with the help of academic resources, handbooks and other sources. The keystone of the second part, the practical one, is a questionnaire, through which I surveyed the knowledge of the pupils, and then analysed the collected data. The conclusion is made up of general and actual oucomes for subsequent pedagogical application, not only for me, but also for out school.

This work deals with the treatment of convicts who committed sexual and violent offenses against child victims. Specifically, it focuses on the results of the implementation of the treatment program the individual participants within a standardized program for offenders sentenced for crimes of violence against children GREPP (English acronym GREPP - Re-education psychology program focused on working with wine). The majority of offenders from the beginning of his guilt and does not want to accept it conceals. From experience it implies that in the course of the program can attitudes convicted for their crimes vary. The research sample qualitative part of the study was collected in the years 2014 to 2016. It is a narrative study. It was composed of three representative case studies from among the graduates of the program in the prison GREPP Nové Sedlo The work investigates whether the participants in the program are able to specifically change their attitude and outlook on their criminal activities. Another goal is to use the findings of the work to create recommendations for convicted graduates of the program, which would be useful for further punishment. This diploma thesis focuses on posttraumatic stress disorder and the related psychosomatic conditions looking into the diversity of somatic responses to stress factors or a traumatic event. In the opening part, trauma processing mechanism is described as well as clinical changes in the brain after an unprocessed traumatic event. The following chapters describe therapy options in case of an existing posttraumatic stress disorder, accepting the traumatic event as part of a closed personal history and creating an added value in the form of higher resistance. The closing theoretic part deals with psychosomatic medicine. The practical part inquires into knowledge of students of the teaching and medical study programmes regarding posttraumatic stress disorder and compares the individual groups. The survey results discover surprising gaps in the professional knowledge of future physicians and teachers. By comparing the related data, a recommendation is being made that students' knowledge has to be broadened in this respect. This work is focused on the point of the secondary school youth attitude on the issue of the rational nutrition. Using the questionnaire investigation that is divided into several research areas I am trying to prove or disconfirm the existence of the mutual relationship between the branch of study and the preferences of healthy nutrition and healthy lifestyle for youth. My thesis deals with the question of a provable relationship in knowledge achieved in the field of healthy nutrition and healthy lifestyle and the branch of study. The main findings revealed the unsatisfactory knowledge in matters of healthy nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. The family does not pay sufficient attention to rational nutrition and youth isn't very careful about a regular diet. Students very often don't have breakfast and they replace lunch mostly by cold snack of inadequate composition that is mostly bought in school canteens. Fruit, vegetables and dairy products are consumed by secondary school students in small amounts and irregularly. Only quite exceptionally they attend school dining-room to get warm and energetically efficient and biologically balanced lunch. The diploma thesis deals with the issue of salt and possibility of its replacement in food. The chosen is topical because healthy nutrition is one of current modern trends. Table salt is an entire part of a diet of every person. As the compound of two biogenic elements - sodium and chlorine - it has unsubstitutable function in human body. However, an increased intake of sodium can be associated with health risks, especially hypertension. The World Health Organization recommends a maximum daily intake of salt 5 g. According to current statistics, nevertheless the salt intake in the Czech republic is up to three times higher. Therefore, it is appropriate to reduce the consumption of salt and attempt to its replacement without cutting down the taste of food. One of the goals of this thesis was find out possibilities of replacing the salt and what is their availability. The diploma work focuses on a topic which is often discussed in the Czech Republic as well as worldwide. The topic in question is the influence of computer games with elements of aggression and violence on aggressive behaviour of teenagers. The work consists of two parts - a theoretical and an empirical one. The theoretical part has four chapters dealing with theoretical knowledge on the subject. In the empirical part the qualitative research strategy was used - questionnaire method and semi structured interview. The research sample consisted of five pupils from the 9th grade of an elementary school. The main aim of the diploma work will be to establish the subjective perception of the influence of computer games with elements of aggression and violence on aggressive behaviour of pupils of older school age. The secondary aim will be establishing the attitudes of the pupils of older school age to violent and aggressive scenes in computer games and mapping the intrusion of computer games into everyday life of pupils from the point of view of computer games preferences and the time they spend playing computer games during the day. Anotation This bachelor thesis is dedicated to monitoring by the prevalence of problem behavior among pupils of selected schools and gymnasiums. The aim of this work is to obtain basic information about the extent and what social pathological phenomena in secondary school students most often, acquired knowledge to evaluate and then compare the selected schools. The research method has been used by questionnaire survey. Anonymous questionnaires have been filled with students of selected secondary vocational school and grammar school. The theoretical part is focused on adolescence, basic concepts related to risky behavior, substance abuse, truancy, bullying and ways of prevention of risky behavior. The practical part deals the comparison of selected risk behaviors at two selected schools. The outcome of this work has been analyzed the information obtained on the basis of which it was formulating recommendations for directors and prevention methodology, which risk behavior should be focused in the context of prevention in selected schools.

ABSTRACT: This thesis deals with risk behaviour, with a special focus on reproductive health in late adolescence. The theoretical part first approaches risky behaviour in general and next it targets on reproductive health in adolescence, on its possible risks and consequences. The conclusion of the theoretical part is dedicated to the prevention of risky reproductive behaviour with emphasis on primary prevention. The research part of the thesis presents a quantitative research survey by means of a questionnaire. The analysis of the survey data provides information on adolescents' knowledge of reproductive health and their behaviour in this area. Further, it reveals whether there are differences in knowledge and behaviour among students who have a subject focused on health education and those who do not. The results of the survey showed that knowledge among the questioned adolescents is not at such a level as expected. Neither the differences in awareness and behaviour of adolescent students in particular branches are not as significant as one would expect. This diploma thesis deals with the issues of family and its perception by secondary school students. The theoretical part concerns family from several points of view. The introductory chapter is focused on selected milestones of the development of family in general. The substance of the next chapter is the very definition of family - how it is dealt with by Czech law, sociology and psychology. Family does not always acquire the same form, therefore in this part, there is also presented an overview of family models. Family has an essential influence on the development of a child and this problem is discussed in the fourth chapter. A part of a child's development are mainly its needs and also the functionality of family itself. That is why the thesis is furthermore focused on child wellfare in general. A child is not always brought up in a family, therefore attention is paid also to substitute care, whether family or institutional. The intent of this study is to open up the issue of aggressive and violent behavior in the selected school environment of primary school with a focus on pupils at risk of neglect. The main aim is to monitor prevention and cooperation among staff at the school, and simultaneously a relationship of the school to other specialized institutions within a given topic. The theoretical part of the study is concerned with the definition of basic terms related to the issue, above all, how aggressive and violent behavior is defined in the context of the school environment, and how the neglected child syndrome and the term of prevention is defined. This part is based on literature search and the findings from my own experience. In the practical part is presented qualitative research using instrumental case study. The selected research tools are interviews and secondary data analysis, ie. social history and analysis of the school document by which the data are detected and subsequently analyzed. In conclusion, the study summarizes the major findings, observations, it also gives recommendations for improving prevention in the issue.
