Anthocyanins have poor bioavailability, but the factors affecting this remain unclear. Uptake into cells could impact the bioavailability; therefore, understanding factors affecting anthocyanin uptake is pivotal to improve their bioavailability and reveal the mechanism for their uptake. This study aimed to investigate the effect of anthocyanin structure, pH and glucose on the uptake of anthocyanins by Caco-2 cells. Anthocyanin extract from strawberry and red grape at 10 or 20 µM was added to Caco-2 cells. Anthocyanin toxicity to the cells was firstly examined to ensure the same cell viability. The uptake was carried out at pH 7 and 6.5 to evaluate the effect of pH. Glucose (1 mM) was used to investigate its effect. The results show that anthocyanins toxicity was dependent on the concentration and length of exposure. Anthocyanin uptake was concentration-dependent and affected by their structures, in which cyanidin-3-glucoside uptake was higher than pelargonidin-3-glucoside. No metabolites from Caco-2 cell activity were detected. An increased uptake with a decrease in pH was observed, which may be linked to the increase in anthocyanins stability and may indicate the role of proton co-transporter. This also suggests that the jejunum would be the favourable section of small intestine for anthocyanin uptake. Reduced anthocyanin uptake in the presence of glucose suggested that facilitative glucose transporter could be involved in the uptake of anthocyanins by Caco-2 cells.

A model-dependent amplitude analysis of B±→DK± with D→KS0π+π− decays is performed using proton–proton collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1 fb−1, recorded by LHCb at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV in 2011. Values of the CP violation observables x± and y±, which are sensitive to the CKM angle γ, are measured to be x−=+0.027±0.044−0.008+0.010±0.001, y−=+0.013±0.048−0.007+0.009±0.003, x+=−0.084±0.045±0.009±0.005, y+=−0.032±0.048−0.009+0.010±0.008, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic and the third arises from the uncertainty of the D→KS0π+π− amplitude model. The value of γ is determined to be (84−42+49)°, including all sources of uncertainty. Neutral D meson mixing is found to have negligible effect.

The optimization of the extraction of natural antioxidants from white tea has fostered intensive research. This study has investigated the effects of ethanol-water mixtures, temperature and time on the extraction of polyphenols and antioxidant components from white tea. The response surface methodology was applied to identify the best extraction conditions. The best conditions to maximize the extraction of total polyphenols were: ethanol, 50%, for 47.5 min. Although the yield of polyphenols was optimal at 65 °C, the maximum antioxidant capacity was achieved with an extraction temperature of 90 °C. This study has identified the optimal conditions for the extraction of tea liquor with the best antioxidant properties. Epigallocatechin gallate, epicatechin gallate, epigallocatechin and epicatechin were extracted from white tea at concentrations up to 29.6 ± 10.6, 5.40 ± 2.09, 5.04 ± 0.20 and 2.48 ± 1.10 mg/100 g.

Measurements of the effective lifetimes in the Bs0→K+K−, B0→K+π− and Bs0→π+K− decays are presented using 1.0 fb−1 of pp collision data collected at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV by the LHCb experiment. The analysis uses a data-driven approach to correct for the decay time acceptance. The measured effective lifetimes are τBs0→K+K−=1.407±0.016(stat)±0.007(syst) ps, τB0→K+π−=1.524±0.011(stat)±0.004(syst) ps, τBs0→π+K−=1.60±0.06(stat)±0.01(syst) ps. This is the most precise determination to date of the effective lifetime in the Bs0→K+K− decay and provides constraints on contributions from physics beyond the Standard Model to the Bs0 mixing phase and the width difference ΔΓs.

Evidence for the decay mode X(3872)→ψ(2S)γ in B+→X(3872)K+ decays is found with a significance of 4.4 standard deviations. The analysis is based on a data sample of proton–proton collisions, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb−1, collected with the LHCb detector, at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. The ratio of the branching fraction of the X(3872)→ψ(2S)γ decay to that of the X(3872)→J/ψγ decay is measured to be B(X(3872)→ψ(2S)γ)B(X(3872)→J/ψγ)=2.46±0.64±0.29, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The measured value does not support a pure DD¯⁎ molecular interpretation of the X(3872) state.

Using a data sample of pp collisions corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb−1, the Ξb− and Ωb− baryons are reconstructed in the Ξb−→J/ψΞ− and Ωb−→J/ψΩ− decay modes and their lifetimes measured to be τ(Ξb−)=1.55−0.09+0.10 (stat)±0.03 (syst) ps,τ(Ωb−)=1.54−0.21+0.26 (stat)±0.05 (syst) ps. These are the most precise determinations to date. Both measurements are in good agreement with previous experimental results and with theoretical predictions.

The mixing-induced CP-violating phase ϕs in Bs0 and B¯s0 decays is measured using the J/ψπ+π− final state in data, taken from 3 fb−1 of integrated luminosity, collected with the LHCb detector in 7 and 8 TeV centre-of-mass pp collisions at the LHC. A time-dependent flavour-tagged amplitude analysis, allowing for direct CP violation, yields a value for the phase ϕs=70±68±8 mrad. This result is consistent with the Standard Model expectation and previous measurements.

Borage (Borago officinalis L.) is a typical Spanish plant. During processing, 60% are leaves. The aim of this work is to model and optimize the extraction of polyphenol from borage leaves using the response surface method (RSM) and to use this extract for application in emulsions. The responses were: total polyphenol content (TPC), antioxidant capacity by ORAC, and rosmarinic acid by HPLC. The ranges of the variables temperature, ethanol content and time were 50–90 °C, 0%–30%–60% ethanol (v/v), and 10–15 min. For ethanolic extraction, optimal conditions were at 75.9 °C, 52% ethanol and 14.8 min, yielding activity of 27.05 mg GAE/g DW TPC; 115.96 mg TE/g DW in ORAC and 11.02 mg/L rosmarinic acid. For water extraction, optimal activity was achieved with extraction at 98.3 °C and 22 min, with responses of 22.3 mg GAE/g DW TPC; 81.6 mg TE/g DW in ORAC and 3.9 mg/L rosmarinic acid. The significant variables were ethanol concentration and temperature. For emulsions, the peroxide value was inhibited by 60% for 3% extract concentration; and 80% with 3% extract concentration and 0.2% of BSA. The p-anisidine value between the control and the emulsion with 3% extract was reduced to 73.6% and with BSA 86.3%, and others concentrations had similar behavior.

PURPOSE: Patients with pneumonia often present to the emergency department and require prompt diagnosis and treatment. Clinical decision support systems for the diagnosis and management of pneumonia are commonly utilized in emergency departments to improve patient care. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether a deep learning model for detecting radiographic pneumonia and pleural effusions can improve functionality of a clinical decision support system for pneumonia management (ePNa) operating in 20 emergency departments. MATERIALS AND METHODS: In this retrospective cohort study, a dataset of 7,434 prior chest radiographic studies from 6,551 emergency department patients was used to develop and validate a deep learning model to identify radiographic pneumonia, pleural effusions, and evidence of multilobar pneumonia. Model performance was evaluated against three radiologists’ adjudicated interpretation and compared to performance of the natural language processing of radiology reports used by ePNa. RESULTS: The deep learning model achieved an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of 0.833 (95% CI 0.795, 0.868) for detecting radiographic pneumonia, 0.939 (95% CI 0.911, 0.962) for detecting pleural effusions, and 0.847 (95% CI 0.800, 0.890) for identifying multilobar pneumonia. On all three tasks, the model achieved higher agreement with the adjudicated radiologist interpretation compared to ePNa. CONCLUSIONS: A deep learning model demonstrated higher agreement with radiologists than the ePNa clinical decision support system in detecting radiographic pneumonia and related findings. Incorporating deep learning models into pneumonia clinical decision support systems could enhance diagnostic performance and improve pneumonia management.

The most common failure mode observed in legacy alumina ceramic pressure vessels (PVs) under high external hydrostatic pressure is spalling emanating from the ceramic ends under their metal joint rings. Investigative analyses have blamed excessive tensile stress. Physical evidence, however, strongly suggests that other factors are also involved. This paper discusses legacy analysis shortcomings and offers an alternative failure mechanism, outlining what these other factors might be. The objective of this note is to stimulate a re-examination of ceramic PV failure modes, with a view to capitalizing on their significant advantages as a PV material.

Three main hypotheses were investigated. First, we predicted a positive linear relationship between weight stigmatization and risk. Second, an indirect effect of weight stigmatization on risk via perceived burdensomeness and thwarted belongingness was posited. Third, we hypothesized that weight stigmatization would indirectly affect suicide risk via emotion dysregulation and eating pathology. Undergraduates (N = 156) completed online surveys. Linear regressions and indirect effect analyses were performed. Weight stigmatization was directly, positively associated with increased suicide risk. Weight stigmatization indirectly affected suicide risk via perceived burdensomeness but not thwarted belongingness. Higher stigmatization was associated with higher levels of perceived burdensomeness, which was associated with higher risk. An indirect effect of weight stigmatization on suicide risk through emotional dysregulation emerged. Higher weight stigmatization was associated with higher emotional dysregulation, which was associated with higher suicide risk. When all models were combined, only an indirect effect via perceived burdensomeness remained. Our findings may have clinical and public health implications for suicide prevention among people with weight stigma-related risk factors.

Supplemental Digital Content is available in the text., Background: The 2014 Choice Act expanded the Veterans Health Administration’s (VA) capacity to purchase services for VA enrollees from community providers, yet little is known regarding the growth of Veterans’ primary care use in community settings. Objectives: The aim was to measure county-level growth in VA community-based primary care (CBPC) penetration following the Choice Act and to assess whether CBPC penetration increased in rural counties with limited access to VA facilities. Data and Sample: A total of 3132 counties from VA administrative data from 2015 to 2018, Area Health Resources Files, and County Health Rankings. Analysis: We defined the county-level CBPC penetration rate as the proportion of VA-purchased primary care out of all VA-purchased primary care (ie, within and outside VA). We estimated county-level multivariate linear regression models to assess whether rurality and supply of primary care providers and health care facilities were significantly associated with CBPC growth. Results: Nationally, CBPC penetration rates increased from 2.7% in 2015 to 7.3% in 2018. Federal legislation has expanded Veterans Health Administration (VHA) enrollees' access to VHA-purchased "community care." This study examined differences in the amount and type of behavioral health care delivered in VHA and purchased in the community, along with patient characteristics and area supply and demand factors.This retrospective cross-sectional study examined data for 204,094 VHA enrollees with 448,648 inpatient behavioral health stays and 3,467,010 enrollees with 55,043,607 outpatient behavioral health visits from fiscal years 2016 to 2019. Standardized mean differences (SMDs) were calculated for patient and provider characteristics at the outpatient-visit level for VHA and community care. Linear probability models assessed the association between severity of behavioral health condition and site of care.Twenty percent of inpatient stays were purchased through community care, with severe behavioral health conditions more likely to be treated in VHA inpatient care. In the outpatient setting, community care accounted for 3% of behavioral health care visits, with increasing use over time. For outpatient care, veterans receiving community care were more likely than those receiving VHA care to see clinicians with fewer years of training (SMD=1.06).With a large portion of inpatient behavioral health care occurring in the community and increased use of outpatient behavioral health care with less highly trained community providers, coordination between VHA and the community is essential to provide appropriate inpatient follow-up care and address outpatient needs. This is especially critical given VHA's expertise in providing behavioral health care to veterans and its legislative responsibility to ensure integrated care.

180. How frail is frail in oncology studies? A scoping review

- Abstract
Aims:The frailty index (FI) is one way in which frailty can be quantified. While it is measured as a continuous variable, various cut-off points have been used to categorise older adults as frail or non-frail, and these have largely been validated in the acute care or community settings for older adults without cancer. This study aimed to explore which FI categories have been applied to older adults with cancer and to determine why these categories were selected by study authors.Methods:This scoping review searched Medline, EMBASE, and Cochrane databases for studies which measured and categorised an FI in adults with cancer. Of the 1165 screened, 40 were eligible for inclusion. Data including oncological setting, FI categories, and the references or rationale for categorisation were extract and analysed.Results:The FI score used to categorise participants as frail ranged from 0.06 to 0.35, with 0.35 being the most frequently used, followed by 0.25 and 0.20. The rationale for FI categories was provided in most studies but was not always relevant. Three of the included studies using an FI > 0.35 to define frailty were frequently referenced as the rationale for subsequent studies, however the original rationale for this categorisation was unclear. Few studies sought to determine or validate optimum FI categorises in this population.Conclusion:There is significant variability in how studies have categorised the FI in older adults with cancer. An FI ≥ 0.35 to categorise frailty was used most frequently, however an FI in this range has often represented at least moderate to severe frailty in other studies. These findings contrast with a scoping review of highly cited studies categorising FI in older adults without cancer, where an FI ≥ 0.25 was most common. Maintaining the FI as a continuous variable is likely to be beneficial until further validation studies determine optimum FI categories in this population. Disparities in how the FI has been categorised, and indeed how older adults have been labelled as ‘frail’, limits our ability to synthesise results and to understand the impact of frailty in cancer care.

In the past, illness and dependence were viewed as inevitable consequences of old age. Now, we understand that there is a difference between age (the passing of chronological time) and ageing (the increased risk of adverse outcomes over time). Over the last 50 years, ‘frailty’ research has established that ageing is heterogeneous, variable and malleable. Significant advances have been made in frailty measurement (description of clinical features and development of clinical models), mechanisms (insights into pathogenesis) and management (development of interventions to reduce and/or prevent progression). Subsequently, the concept of frailty has informed health policy and clinical practice and started to change perceptions of older age held by the general public and the health sector. Here, we overview key achievements in frailty research and clinical practice and highlight the considerable number of known unknowns that may be addressed in the future.

Nitrous oxide emissions from a network of agricultural experiments in Europe were used to explore the relative importance of site and management controls of emissions. At each site, a selection of management interventions were compared within replicated experimental designs in plot-based experiments. Arable experiments were conducted at Beano in Italy, El Encin in Spain, Foulum in Denmark, Logården in Sweden, Maulde in Belgium, Paulinenaue in Germany, and Tulloch in the UK. Grassland experiments were conducted at Crichton, Nafferton and Peaknaze in the UK, Gödöllö in Hungary, Rzecin in Poland, Zarnekow in Germany and Theix in France. Nitrous oxide emissions were measured at each site over a period of at least two years using static chambers. Emissions varied widely between sites and as a result of manipulation treatments. Average site emissions (throughout the study period) varied between 0.04 and 21.21 kg N2O-N ha−1 yr−1, with the largest fluxes and variability associated with the grassland sites. Total nitrogen addition was found to be the single most important determinant of emissions, accounting for 15% of the variance (using linear regression) in the data from the arable sites (p < 0.0001), and 77% in the grassland sites. The annual emissions from arable sites were significantly greater than those that would be predicted by IPCC default emission factors. Variability of N2O emissions within sites that occurred as a result of manipulation treatments was greater than that resulting from site-to-site and year-to-year variation, highlighting the importance of management interventions in contributing to greenhouse gas mitigation.

Journal of Viral Hepatitis published by John Wiley & Sons Ltd Whilst the benefit of direct-acting antiviral agents (DAAs) in achieving sustained virological response (SVR) is now well-accepted, their impact on liver function, particularly in relation to achievement of SVR, has not been well documented. We studied 2394 patients with chronic HCV infection, 1276 receiving DAAs and 1118 interferon-based therapy. Liver function was assessed by the albumin-bilirubin (ALBI) score or grade. Overall survival according to SVR status and baseline ALBI grade was examined. We also studied time to first decompensation according to ALBI grade, as well as longitudinal changes in ALBI score over time according to SVR. Among the patients receiving DAAs, 89% achieved SVR (Japan=99%, UK=78%). Amongst the decompensated patients in the UK cohort, three distinct risk groups according to ALBI grade at baseline were observed. The UK patients receiving DAAs, who had predominantly decompensated disease, showed clear evidence of improvement of liver function detectable within 2years of the start of treatment, especially in those achieving SVR. These early changes in liver function were very similar to those observed in the first 2-3years after interferon-based therapy. DAAs improve liver function especially in those with decompensated disease who achieve SVR. Experience with interferon-based therapy suggests that failure to achieve SVR is associated with long-term decline in liver function and, in contrast, patients who do achieve SVR can expect long-term disease improvement and subsequent stabilization of liver function. Our initial analysis suggests that those receiving DAAs are likely, in the long term, to follow a similar course.

Isometric exercise training (IET) is an effective method for reducing resting blood pressure (BP). To date, no research studies have been conducted using multiple exercises within an IET intervention. Previous research has suggested that varied exercise programmes may have a positive effect on adherence. Therefore, this randomized controlled study aimed to investigate the BP-lowering efficacy of a multi-modal IET (MIET) intervention in healthy young adults. Twenty healthy participants were randomized to an MIET [n = 10; four women; SBP 117.9 ± 6.9 mmHg; DBP 66.3 ± 5.1 mmHg] or control (CON) group (n = 10; five women; SBP, 123.3 ± 10.4 mmHg; DBP, 77.3 ± 6.7 mmHg). The MIET group completed three sessions per week of 4, 2-min isometric contractions, with a 1-min rest between each contraction, for 6 weeks. Resting BP and heart rate (HR) were measured at baseline and post-intervention. Pre-to-post intervention within-group reductions in resting BP were observed (SBP: 5.3 ± 6.1 mmHg, DBP: 3.4 ± 3.7 mmHg, MAP: 4.0 ± 3.9 mmHg, HR: 4.8 ±6 .6 bpm), although clinically relevant (≥2 mmHg), these changes were not statistically significant. Significant (p < 0.05) between-group differences were found between the intervention and control groups, indicating that the MIET intervention has a greater BP-lowering effect compared to control. The clinically relevant post-training reductions in resting BP suggest that MIET may be a promising additional IET method for hypertension prevention. These findings; however, must be interpreted with caution due to the small sample size and the non-clinical cohort.

Several serum inflammatory biomarkers have been associated with blood pressure and hypertension prevalence in cross-sectional studies. Few of these associations have been evaluated prospectively. We examined associations for 10 serum inflammatory biomarkers with incident hypertension among 471 postmenopausal women (mean age = 65) in the Buffalo OsteoPerio Study. Concentrations of C-reactive protein, interleukin (IL)-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, monocyte chemoattractant protein (MCP)-1, adiponectin, and leptin were measured using multiplexed sandwich immunoassays on fasting serum samples collected at baseline (1997-2001). Incident hypertension (195 cases) was defined as physician-diagnosed hypertension and treatment with medication identified on annual mailed health surveys during follow-up (mean 10 years). Cox regression was used to estimate hazard ratios (HR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) between log-transformed biomarkers (per 1-SD) and hypertension. When adjusted for age, leptin was significantly associated with hypertension risk (HR = 1.55, 95% CI: 1.04, 2.29), however, the association was attenuated and not significant after adjustment for demographic and lifestyle factors, including BMI. Federalism has complicated the US response to the novel coronavirus. States' actions to address the pandemic have varied widely, and federal and state officials have provided conflicting messages. This fragmented approach has surely cost time and lives. Federalism will shape the long-term health and economic impacts of COVID-19, including plans for the future, for at least two reasons: First, federalism exacerbates inequities, as some states have a history of underinvesting in social programs, especially in certain communities. Second, many of the states with the deepest needs are poorly equipped to respond to emergencies due to low taxes and distrust of government, leading to inadequate infrastructure. These dynamics are not new, but they have been laid bare by this crisis. What can policy makers do to address the inequities in health and economic outcomes that federalism intensifies? The first section of this article offers a case study of the Mississippi Delta to illustrate the role of federalism in perpetuating the connection between place, health, and economics. The second section examines challenges that safety net programs will face when moving beyond the acute phase of COVID-19. The final section explores near-, middle-, and long-term policy options to mitigate federalism's harmful side effects.

A large inter-arm difference (IAD; ≥10 mmHg) in SBP is linked to cardiovascular and peripheral vascular disease, hypertension, and premature mortality. Exercise-induced IAD (eIAD) is related to resting IAD, and acute aerobic activity alters eIAD and reduces IAD in recovery. Isometric handgrip exercise (IHE) affects blood pressure (BP), though the eIAD response to IHE is unknown. Further, the eIAD response may differ between males and females. OBJECTIVES To characterize the eIAD response to IHE in males and females. METHODS On visit 1, participants (16 females and 15 males, aged 18-35 years) completed three maximal voluntary isometric contractions (MVIC) per arm. On visit 2, before IHE, a series of three simultaneous, bilateral BP measures were averaged at rest. During IHE, participants maintained handgrip at 20% of MVIC for 2 minutes (arm randomly assigned), at which time bilateral BP was measured (IHE) during exercise and subsequent recovery (REC1 and REC2). Repeated-measures analysis of variance assessed eIAD and SBP (time × sex). RESULTS IHE increased absolute eIAD (4 mmHg). Differences in relative eIAD were observed at IHE and REC2 based on resting IAD status (P < 0.05). Females only had an exaggerated SBP and pulse pressure response in the working arm. CONCLUSION Acute IHE was shown to augment eIAD. Further eIAD and resting IAD were related. Acute IHE induced different bilateral responses between males and females, though the impact of sex on eIAD warrants further investigation. Future studies should address the effects of repeated bouts of IHE, which may benefit individuals with a large resting IAD.

Following a central transcorneal circular freeze injury, organ-cultured rat corneal endothelial cells surrounding the wound reorganize peripheral actin bands into stress fibers and migrate individually into the wound. To ascertain the significance of this rearrangement relative to morphological changes accompanying migration and wound repair, some tissues were incubated overnight in 4 μM TRITC-conjugated phalloidin to stabilize actin and prevent its reorganization. After a freeze injury to the endothelium tissues were histologically observed at 24 h post-wounding and demonstrated that despite a lack of actin organization, cells responding to the injury appeared morphologically similar to their control counterparts. Tissues cultivated in the presence of either cytochalasin B (CB), soybean agglutinin (SBA), or fluorouracil (FU) and also exhibited actin cytoskeletal disruption. Under these conditions, migration continued despite the absence of detectable stress fibers. For SBA-, CB-, and FU-treated tissues, wound repair did not significantly differ from control preparations although FU-treated tissues showed a slower repair. Electron micrographs confirmed an absence of stress fibers in migrating cells treated with any of these agents. Tissues were also treated with ML 141 and EY294002 to inhibit the cdc-42 and PI-3K pathways, respectively. While cell movement still occurred in the presence of ML 141, migration into the wound was greatly restricted in the presence of EY294002. These results indicate that rat corneal endothelial cell movement in situ does not require actin reorganization into stress fibers, but the functioning of the PI-3K pathway is indispensable for their migration along the basement membrane during wound repair.

Evolutionary theories of senescence, such as the ‘disposable soma’ theory, propose that natural selection trades late survival for early fecundity. ‘Frailty’, a multidimensional measure of health status, may help to better define the long-term consequences of reproduction. We examined the relationship between parity and later life frailty (as measured by the Frailty Index) in a sample of 3,534 adults aged 65 years and older who participated in the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing. We found that the most parous adults were the most frail and that the parity-frailty relationship was similar for both sexes. Whilst this study provided some evidence for a ‘parity-frailty trade-off’, there was little support for our hypothesis that the physiological costs of childbearing influence later life frailty. Rather, behavioural and social factors associated with rearing many children may have contributed to the development of frailty in both sexes.

BACKGROUND: Extant literature warns of elevated suicide risks in adults post-bariatric surgery, making understanding risks for adolescent patients imperative. OBJECTIVES: To examine prevalence and predictors/correlates of suicidal thoughts and behaviors (STBs) in adolescents with severe obesity who did/did not undergo bariatric surgery from presurgery/baseline to 4 years postsurgery. SETTING: Five academic medical centers METHOD: Utilizing a prospective observational design, surgical adolescents (n=153; 79% female, 65% White, M(age)=17, M(BMI)=52) and nonsurgical comparators (n=70; 80% female, 54% White, M(age)=16, M(BMI)=47) completed psychometrically sound assessments at presurgery/baseline and postsurgery Years 2 and 4 (Year 4: n=117 surgical [M(BMI)=38], n=56 nonsurgical [M(BMI)=48]). RESULTS: For the surgical group, rates of STBs were low (Year 2 [1.3–4.6%]; Year 4 [2.6–7.9%], similar to national base rates. Groups did not differ on a Year 4 postsurgical STBs composite (PostSTBs: ideation/plan/attempt; n=18 surgical [16%], n=10 nonsurgical [18%]; OR=0.95,p=0.90).
