A través de este Trabajo Fin de Grado se pretende modelar el crecimiento del diámetro de una planta por medio de métodos estadísticos, comparando diferentes modelos desarrollados y los resultados obtenidos con cada uno de ellos con el fin de encontrar el más adecuado. Los modelos se implementan mediante Matlab utilizando el método de regresión lineal y mínimos cuadrados. Todos ellos están compuestos por un subconjunto de variables escogidas por el modo de Selección Paso a Paso. Todas las variables que se utilizan han sido proporcionadas por el tutor. Por medio del conjunto de variables escogido se desarrolla el modelo, analizando los resultados obtenidos en el entrenamiento y validación de todos ellos. Se ha trabajado con variables como la temperatura, la humedad relativa, el déficit de presión de vapor, la cantidad de luz, la temperatura de la tierra, la cantidad de agua en la tierra... Tras calcular la correlación entre la variable a estimar, el diámetro de una planta, y todas las demás, se escogen los subconjuntos de variables que formarán el modelo. A través de este modelo y de la variable de salida real, se obtiene una variable de salida estimada y se compara con la real. Tras realizar el entrenamiento y la validación con todos los modelos, se escoge el modelo más adecuado., The aim of this degree project is to model the growth of the diameter of a plant by means of statistical methods, comparing different developed models and the results obtained with each of them in order to find the most suitable one. The models are implemented in Matlab using Linear Regression and Least Squares. All of them are composed of a subset of variables chosen by the Stepwise Selection mode. All variables used have been provided by the advisor. By means of the set of variables chosen, the model is developed, analysing the results obtained in the training and validation of all of them. After calculating the correlation between the variable to be estimated, the diameter of a plant, and all the others, the subsets of variables that will form the model are chosen. Through this model and the real output variable, an estimated output variable is obtained and compared with the real one. After training and validation with all models, the most appropriate model is chosen.

In this article, a sparse-Bayesian treatment is proposed to solve the crucial questions posed by power amplifier (PA) and digital predistorter (DPD) modeling. To learn a model, the advanced Bayesian framework includes a group of specific processes that maximize the likelihood of the measured data: regressor pursuit and identification, coefficient estimation, stopping criterion, and regressor deselection. The relevance vector machine (RVM) method is reformulated theoretically to be implemented in complex-valued linear regression. In essence, given an initial set of candidate regressors, the result of this sparse-Bayesian learning approach is the most likely model. Experimental results are provided for the linearization of class AB and class J PAs driven by a 30-MHz fifth-generation new radio signal for a fixed average power, where the evolution of the figures of merit versus the number of active coefficients is examined for the proposed sparse-Bayesian pursuit (SBP) algorithm in comparison to other greedy algorithms. The SBP presents a good performance in terms of linearization capabilities and computational cost. Furthermore, the proposed Bayesian framework enabled the design of a DPD model structure, deselect regressors, and readjust coefficients in a direct learning architecture, demonstrating the robustness to changes in the power level over a 10-dB range.

This is a legal, descriptive documentary research that proposes a new terminology to replace the concept of animal with that of sentient beings in the Mexican legal framework. It exposes the lack of general guidelines in Article 4 of the Constitution of Mexico to recognize and guarantee in a real way the rights of these beings. The legislative dispersion and lack of recognition limit their protection and welfare. The legal framework and studies on the subject, theories and international instruments are analyzed and it is proposed that sentient beings should be subjects of rights. Although Mexico's 32 states have animal protection laws, they are not sufficient to guarantee the right to life, freedom, freedom from mistreatment and health of sentient beings. There are no penal sanctions in the legislation that contribute to prevent and eradicate abuses and inhumane acts towards these beings, and investigations in this field are incipient, É uma investigação jurídica, um documentário descritivo que propõe uma nova terminologia para substituir o conceito de animal pelo de seres sencientes no quadro jurídico mexicano. Expõe a falta de diretrizes gerais no artigo 4 da Constituição Política dos Estados Unidos Mexicanos para reconhecer e garantir os direitos desses seres de maneira real. A dispersão legislativa e a falta de reconhecimento limitam sua proteção e bem-estar. Analisa-se o arcabouço legal e os estudos sobre o tema, teorias, instrumentos internacionais e propõe-se que os seres sencientes sejam sujeitos de direitos. Apesar de no México os 32 estados terem leis de proteção animal, elas não são suficientes para garantir o direito à vida, liberdade, não abuso e saúde dos seres sencientes. Na legislação não há sanções penais que contribuam para prevenir, erradicar abusos e atos desumanos contra esses seres e as investigações nesse campo são incipientes, Se trata de una investigación jurídica, documental descriptiva que propone una nueva terminología para sustituir el concepto de animal por el de seres sintientes en el marco jurídico mexicano. Expone la inexistencia de directrices generales en el artículo 4 de la Constitución Política de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos para reconocer y garantizar de manera real los derechos de estos seres. La dispersión legislativa y la falta de reconocimiento limitan su protección y bienestar. Se analiza el marco jurídico y estudios en la materia, teorías, instrumentos de carácter internacional y se propone que los seres sintientes deben ser sujetos de derechos. A pesar de que en México las 32 entidades federativas tienen leyes de protección animal, no son suficientes para garantizar el derecho a la vida, la libertad, al no maltrato y a la salud de los seres sintientes. En la legislación no existen sanciones de carácter penal que contribuyan a prevenir, erradicar los abusos y actos inhumanos hacia estos seres y las investigaciones en este campo son incipientes.

Hominin footprints were recently discovered at Matalascanas (Huelva; South of Iberian Peninsula). They were dated thanks to a previous study in deposits of the Asperillo cliff to 106 +/- 19 ka, Upper Pleistocene, making Neandertals the most likely track-makers. In this paper, we report new Optically Stimulated Luminescence dating that places the hominin footprints surface in the range of 295.8 +/- 17 ka (MIS 9-MIS 8 transition, Middle Pleistocene). This new age implies that the possible track-makers are individuals more likely from the Neandertal evolutionary lineage. Regardless of the taxon attributed to the Matalascanas footprints, they supplement the existing partial fossil record for the European Middle Pleistocene Hominins being notably the first palaeoanthropological evidence (hominin skeleton or footprints) from the MIS 9 and MIS 8 transition discovered in the Iberian Peninsula, a moment of climatic evolution from warm to cool. Thus, the Matalascanas footprints represent a crucial record for understanding human occupations in Europe in the Pleistocene.

La géographie de la perception n'a pas eu le développement académique des autres courants géographiques. L'analyse à l'aide de cartes mentales est encore souvent réalisée de manière artisanale et peu connectée aux technologies de l'information géographique. Cependant, de nombreux auteurs affirment les avantages et la difficulté d'obtenir certaines informations fournies par ce type d'"enquêtes visuelles". Une proposition méthodologique est présentée pour mettre en œuvre l'analyse des cartes heuristiques dans les systèmes d'information géographique. Les méthodologies qualitatives et quantitatives sont combinées pour obtenir des cartographies synoptiques en formats vectoriel et matriciel des perceptions des répondants. L'article réfléchit aux possibilités des résultats cartographiques obtenus et explore les avantages et inconvénients de la systématisation de ce type de données et des possibilités qu'elle offre. Chacune des étapes menant à la conversion d'un ensemble de cartes qualitatives et topologiques en une cartographie synoptique et géoréférencée est considérée. La perte partielle de la richesse d'information des croquis est plus que compensée par les possibilités de visualisation analytique et cartographique du géoréférencement de la perception des citoyens., La geografía de la percepción no ha tenido el desarrollo académico de otras corrientes geográficas. El análisis con mapas mentales sigue haciéndose, en muchas ocasiones, de un modo artesanal y con escasa vinculación con las Tecnologías de la Información Geográfica. Sin embargo, no son pocos los autores que afirman de las bondades y la dificultad de obtener determinada información que aportan este tipo de “encuestas visuales”. Se presenta una propuesta metodológica para implementar los análisis de mapas mentales en Sistemas de Información Geográfica. Se combinan metodologías cualitativas y cuantitativas para obtener cartografías sinópticas en formatos vectorial y ráster de la percepción de los encuestados. El artículo reflexiona sobre las posibilidades de los resultados cartográficos obtenidos y explora las ventajas e inconvenientes de la sistematización de este tipo de datos y las posibilidades que ofrecen. Se toma en consideración cada uno de los pasos que llevan a convertir un conjunto de mapas cualitativos y topológicos a una cartografía sinóptica y georreferenciada. La pérdida parcial de la riqueza de información de los croquis se compensa sobradamente con las posibilidades analíticas y de visualización cartográfica al georreferenciar la percepción de los ciudadanos., The geography of perception has not been the academic development as other geographical currents. Analysis using mental maps is still often to be conducted in acraft-like nature, with little or no linkage to Geographic Information Technologies. However, there are many authors who affirm the benefits and the difficulty of obtaining certain information provided by this type of “visual surveys”. This study presents a methodological proposal to implement the analysis of mental maps in Geographic Information Systems. Qualitative and quantitative methodologies are combined to obtain synoptic cartographies in vector and raster formats of respondents´ perception. The article reflects on the possibilities of the cartographic results obtained and explores the advantages and disadvantages of systematization of this type of data and the possibilities it offers. Each of the steps leading to the conversion of a set of qualitative and topological maps into a synoptic and geo-referenced cartography is considered. The partial loss of the information richness of sketches is more than compensated by the analytical and cartographic visualization possibilities of georeferencing citizens´ perception.

The ius in bello as a legal concept implies the assumption of legal responsibilities to militaries waging a war, but if conflicts have also a moral dimension, given that its nature implicates taking lives and put at risk the proper one and even losing it, it is essential that those involved, individually and the Armed Forces as an institution, must afford to their ethical responsibilities. The core of ius in bello concept meets the distinction between combatants and noncombatants, the collateral damage, the legitimacy of weapons and systems, and the hard and sensitive targeting process, which are assembled to get the victory respecting every legal and legitimate restriction and requirement. These aspects are considered from the military ethics perspective to accomplish the goal that militaries planning, leading, and taking direct part in combat, have full conviction over the legitimacy of their actions and moral conviction to put their lives at risk in wars and conflicts for which it is needed to be prepared and, if necessary, fight with weapons and systems which mean a lethal use of force., El concepto de ius in bello tiene un valor decisivo para exigir responsabilidades legales a los militares que participan en una guerra, pero asumiendo que los conflictos tienen una dimensión moral, dado que en su naturaleza el uso de la fuerza implica tomar vidas y arriesgar la propia hasta perderla, también los participantes en la misma, individualmente y las Fuerzas Armadas como institución, deben hacer frente a sus responsabilidades éticas. En el corazón del ius in bello se encuentra la distinción entre combatientes y no combatientes, el daño colateral, la legitimidad en el empleo de armas y sistemas, y la delicada y esencial elección de objetivos que cumplan la función de obtener la victoria militar, respetando todas las exigencias y restricciones legales y legítimas. Considerar estos aspectos desde la ética militar pretende cumplir el objetivo de que los militares que planean, dirigen y participan directamente en los combates, tengan la plena seguridad de la legitimidad de sus acciones y la convicción moral de que arriesgan su vida en conflictos y guerras, para las que aún es necesario prepararse y, llegado el caso, combatir con armas y sistemas que implican la fuerza letal.
