Field experience shows that the long-term existence of the partial discharge (PD) in gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) will gradually erode the insulation and ultimately cause disastrous insulation breakdown. The decomposition compound analysis of SF6 in GIS is an effective method to diagnose the PDs caused by insulation defects. It is significant to clarify the decomposition characteristics of SF6 under PDs, which is common in GIS. In this paper the discharge energy/charge and SF6 decomposition under PDs with point-to-plane electrode defect were investigated under different factors such as needle curvature, applied voltage, gas pressure and moisture content (adsorbent). And the feature extraction of SF6 decomposition under PDs was also discussed. The results show that the yields of SOF2, SO2F2 and SO2 tend to increase approximately linearly with the accumulation of PD energy. In addition, the needle curvature and applied voltage have a great influence on the discharge energy/charge and the yield of SOF2/SO2F2. Also, the adsorbents composed of KDHF-03 or F-03 have a certain effect on the discharge energy. Besides, the discharge energy and charge tend to decrease with the increased moisture content, and the yields of SOF2, SO2F2 and SO2 are affected by the humidity (250 μL/L - 2500 μL/L) observably.

To understand the molecular mechanism of estrogen and to evaluate the role of the estrogen receptor in mediating estrogen action, the full-length cDNA of estrogen receptor α (ERα) was cloned from Monopterus albus and its expression pattern and distribution were investigated. The ERα cDNA of M. albus includes an open reading frame of 1863 bp, a 140-bp 5’-untranslated region and a 797-bp 3’-untranslated region. Amino acid sequence homology analysis showed that the Monopterus albus ERα has a moderate degree of similarity with Sebastes schlegelii, Zoarces viviparus and Haplochromis burtoni (81.1%, 80.7% and 80.4%, respectively). Quantitative PCR results showed that the highest level of ERα expression was in the liver; the next highest level of expression was observed in the gonads, where it was expressed at high levels particularly in the ovary in developmental stages IV and V and in the testis in developmental stage II/III. Immunohistochemistry analysis showed that ERα was present as slender particles distributed mainly in the membranes of spermatocytes and oocytes in the testis and ovary, whereas no positive signal was observed in the cytoplasm of sperm cells. This report describes the first molecular characterization of full-length ERα and its tissue-specific distribution in M. albus.

Macrophages from the head kidney (HK) and peripheral blood leucocytes were isolated fromCyprinus carpio by Percoll gradient density centrifugation, cultured in vitro and exposed to different concentrations of the immunomodulator lentinan. To evaluate the immunostimulating effects of lentinan, proliferation of the peripheral blood leucocytes, respiratory burst of macrophages and interleukin-1β (IL-1β) gene mRNA expression of macrophages were investigated by MTT [3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide], NBT (nitroblue tetrazolium) reduction, Griess reaction and real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Results showed that proliferation of peripheral blood leucocytes after 24 h incubation by the induction of lentinan at 100 and 1000 μg/ml was markedly stimulated. Lentinan at 1, 100 and 1000 μg/ml could significantly induce superoxide anions in macrophages. Production of nitric oxide by HK macrophages after 96 h incubation by lentinan showed that it had no conspicuous effect on nitrogen burst activity of macrophages. Moreover, it inhibited the nitrogen burst activity at higher doses. The expression of IL-1β in the HK macrophages after 24 h of polysaccharide stimulation showed that lentinan stimulated IL-1β expression in the head kidney in carp. Lentinan can modulate the immune response of C. carpio.
