Türbülatörler, ısı değiştiricilerinde akışkanlara türbülans kazandırarak, yüzeyle olan temasın arttırılması yoluyla ısı transferinin yükseltilmesi için kullanılmaktadır. Türbülatörler, yüksek verimlilik gerektiren alanlarda tercih edilmektedir. Akışkanlardan efektif ısı transferi sağlanması için maksimum temas yüzeyine sahip olunması gerekmektedir. Sisteme verilen enerjiden maksimum kazanç elde edilebilmesi ve maliyetlerin en aza indirilebilmesi için tercih edilen bu tür sistemlerin kullanımı sayesinde yüksek verimlilik oranlarına ulaşmak mümkün bir hale gelmektedir. Yapılan bu çalışmada ısı transferinin arttırılması kapsamında eş merkezli dış ve iç borudan oluşan ısı değiştiricisinde iç boru içerisine farklı türbülatörler yerleştirilmiştir. Isı değiştiricisinde dış boruya 98℃ sıcaklığında buhar, iç boruya ise kompresör yardımıyla oda sıcaklığında belirlenen hızlarda hava akışı paralel, aynı yönlü bir şekilde uygulanmıştır. Deney düzeneğiyle ısı değiştiricisi iç borusu türbülatörsüz (boş) olduğunda, içerisinde 1 m uzunluğunda mil üzerine 15 cm adımlarla yerleştirilmiş Tip-A (çubuk) ve Tip-B (kanat) silindirik türbülatörlerin yerleştirilmesi durumlarında ısı transferi performansı incelenmiştir. Deney düzeneğinde termokupllar kullanılarak çoklu kanallı veri tarayıcı ile türbülatörsüz, Tip-A ve Tip-B silindirik türbülatör durumlarında, belirlenen hızlarda ısı değiştiricisi giriş ve çıkış sıcaklıkları ölçülmüştür. Elde edilen verilere göre farklı açılardan analizler yapılmıştır. Türbülatör Tip-B kullanıldığı durumda en yüksek sıcaklık farkının gerçekleştiği gözlemlenmiştir. Türbülatörsüz durum ile karşılaştırıldığında Türbülatör Tip-A kullanılması durumunda 2,5 m/s hızında %28 oranında, Türbülatör Tip-B kullanılması durumunda 3 m/s hızında %118 oranında artış ile maksimum sıcaklık farklarına ulaşıldığı görülmüştür. Ortalama sıcaklıkların Tip-A türbülatör kullanıldığında ve türbülatörsüz durumlarda birbirlerine yakın olduğu, Tip-B türbülatör kullanıldığında ise 1 m/s ve üzeri hava akış hızlarında ortalama sıcaklığın daha yüksek olduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Türbülatör Tip-A kullanıldığında %32 ile 2,5 m/s hızında, Türbülatör Tip-B kullanıldığında %157,9 ile 3 m/s hızında türbülatörsüz duruma göre en yüksek artış oranı ile Nusselt sayısına ulaşılmıştır. Türbülatör Tip-A kullanıldığında %32,5 ile Reynolds 11423 değerinde, Türbülatör Tip-B kullanıldığında %157,9 ile Reynolds 13899 değerinde türbülatörsüz duruma göre en yüksek hm ısı taşınım katsayısı artış oranına ulaşılmıştır. Tip-A ve Tip-B türbülatörlerin kullanılması halinde ısı transfer miktarının ve etkinlik oranının, belirlenen Reynolds değerlerinin tümünde türbülatörsüz duruma göre daha yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Reynolds değerlerinin tümünde Türbülatör Tip-B kullanılması durumunda belirgin bir şekilde artış ile en yüksek ısı transfer miktarına ve etkinlik oranına ulaşılmıştır. Her koşulda türbülatör kullanımının ısı transferini arttırdığı, Tip-B türbülatörün Tip-A türbülatöre göre belirgin bir şekilde daha iyi ısı transfer performansı gösterdiği görülmüştür., Turbulator is used in heat exchangers to enhance heat transfer rates from the fluids by increasing the contact surfaces of the fluids by increasing the turbulence flow. More contact surfaces are necessary for effective heat transfer, particularly in applications requiring high productivity and capabilities. By using turbulators, the maximum energy gain can be achieved, leading to high efficiency rates and lower costs. In this study, different turbulators are placed in the inner tube of the heat exchanger, which consists of concentric outer and inner pipes, within the scope of increasing the heat transfer. In the heat exchanger, steam was applied to the outer pipe at a temperature of 98°C, and to the inner pipe with the help of the compressor, the air flow was applied in a parallel and same direction at different speeds. The contribution of the cylindrical turbulator to the energy efficiency of the heat exchanger was investigated. Heat transfer performance was analysed in the case of placing Type-A (rod) and Type-B (wing) cylindrical turbulators placed on a 1 m-long shaft with 15 cm steps using the experimental setup. In the experimental setup, the inlet and outlet temperatures of the heat exchanger were measured at various speeds using Type-A and Type-B cylindrical turbulator and without turbulator (empty) conditions by using thermocouples via data logger. It has been observed that the highest temperature difference occurs when turbulator Type-B is used. Compared to the empty (without turbulator) condition, it was observed that maximum temperature differences were reached with a %28 increase at 2,5 m/s speed in the case of using Turbulator Type-A, and %118 increase at 3 m/s speed in the case of using Turbulator Type-B. It has been observed that the average temperatures are close to each other in case of Type-A turbulator is used and without turbulator, while the average temperature is higher at 1 m/s and above air flow rates when Type-B turbulator is used. It was observed that the highest Nusselt number were reached with a %32 increase at 2,5 m/s speed in the case of using Turbulator Type-A, and %157,9 increase at 3 m/s speed in the case of using Turbulator Type-B, compared to the empty (without turbulator) condition. The highest hm heat transfer coefficient increase rate was reached at Reynolds 11423 for Turbulator Type-A as %32,5 and at Reynolds 13899 for Turbulator Type-B as %157,9, compared to the empty inner pipe condition. In the case of using Type-A and Type-B turbulators, it was observed that the heat transfer amount and effectiveness rate were higher than the case without a turbulator in all of the determined Reynolds values. In the case of using Turbulator Type-B in all Reynolds values, the highest heat transfer amount and effectiveness rate were reached with a significant increase. It has been observed that the use of turbulators increases the heat transfer and the Type-B turbulator has a significantly better heat transfer performance than the Type-A turbulator, in all conditions.

Hiyerarşik veriler üzerinde tek düzeyli analizlerin kullanımı ile tek ve çok düzeyli yapısal eşitlik modelinin uygulanmasında karşılaşılan sorunlara ilişkin literatürde ampirik bir kanıt bulunmamaktadır. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’de PISA 2015 uygulamasına katılmış bireylerin fen başarısını yordadığı düşünülen fen öğrenmekten zevk alma, fen öğreniminde araçsal güdülenme, fen öz yeterliği, eğitim sürecindeki engeller, öğrenme engeli değişkenlerinin etkisi tek düzeyli ve çok düzeyli yapısal eşitlik ile modellenmiştir. Yordayıcı değişkenlerin etkileri, verilerin toplanması ve ayrıştırılması ile oluşturulan iki tek düzeyli model ile kestirilmiş ve model uyumu ile standartlaştırılmış parametreler açısından iki düzeyli model ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Sonuç olarak grup düzeyi göz ardı edilen modelde regresyon katsayılarına ait standart hataların azalmasından, birey düzeyi göz ardı edilen modelde ise grup içi varyans analize dâhil edilmediğinden ve veri kaybı yaşanmasından dolayı yanlı sonuçlar elde edilmiş ve istatiksel testin gücünü azaltmıştır. Bu sonuçların, gelecekte hiyerarşik verilerde yapılacak çalışmalarda kullanılacak analizler için araştırmacılara fikir sunması beklenmektedir., There is no empirical evidence in the literature regarding the problems encountered in the use of single-level analyzes on hierarchical data and the implementation of a single-multilevel structural equation model. In this study, the models were created by using Structural Equation Modeling and Multilevel Structural Equation Modeling for the effects of factors such as enjoyment in learning science, instrumental motivation, scientific self-efficacy, hinderances in education, and hinderance to learning which are claimed to predict Turkish students’ science performance who participated PISA 2015. The effects of the predictive variables were estimated with two different single-level models constructed by aggregating and disaggregating the data. Then, single-level models are compared with the two-level model in terms of model fit and standardized parameters. As a result, since it was observed that standard error in regression coefficients decreased for the model which disregarded group levels, and variance-within-groups was not included in the model which disregarded individual levels which caused a data loss, the results were biased, and the effectiveness of the statistical test was weakened. In light of the results of this study, some recommendations were suggested for future studies which may consider dealing with analyzing hierarchical data.

Objectives: Platelet-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) combines the predictive risk of platelet and lymphocyte counts into a single risk index. PLR has been studied as a predictive marker in a variety of cardiovascular diseases. However, our understanding of the link between PLR and coronary artery disease (CAD) remains limited. The present study aimed to evaluate the relationship between PLR and intensity of coronary atherosclerosis in patients with suspected CAD. Methods: In this retrospective study, we included 221 patients undergoing dual-source 64-slice coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA). Total and different types of leukocyte counts were measured with an automatic blood counter. Based on a modified version of the American Heart Association's categorisation, the coronary artery tree was divided into 16 segments. To assess the extent of coronary atherosclerosis, the number of affected coronary segments was counted. Coronary artery plaques were classified into three categories: (1) calcified plaque, (2) non-calcified plaque, and (3) mixed plaque. Results: After multivariable backward stepwise regression analysis, PLR remained as an independent predictor for both the presence and extent of coronary atherosclerosis (OR=2.38, 95% CI: 1.27-4.47 and OR=1.66, 95% CI: 1.10-2.51, respectively). There was no significant relationship between PLR and plaque morphology. Conclusions: Higher PLR was associated with the intensity of coronary atherosclerosis detected by CCTA. Further research is necessary to determine the optimal approach to using PLR in medical practice.

Çalışmanın amacı Türkiye’de “Eleştirel Okuma” hakkında eğitim alanında yapılan lisansüstü tez çalışmalarını çeşitli ölçütlere göre incelemektir. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesi yöntemiyle tezler araştırılmıştır. İncelenen tezler YÖK internet sitesinden arama bölümüne “Eleştirel Okuma” yazılarak bulunmuştur. Araştırmada ulaşılan, yayınlanma izni olan ve eğitimle ilgili 37 tez içerik analizi yoluyla çeşitli kıstaslara göre irdelenmiştir. Erişilen veriler SPSS vasıtasıyla çözümlenmiş, frekans ve yüzdelik değerlerin olduğu tablolar oluşturulmuştur. Yapılan incelemelerin sonucunda, eleştirel okumayla ilgili tezlerin büyük bir kısmının yüksek lisans tezi olduğu, tezi yapan araştırmacıların çoğunun cinsiyeti kadın iken tez danışmanlarının çoğunun cinsiyetinin erkek olduğu, tez danışmanlarının unvanlarında en çok doçent ikinci sırada ise profesör olduğu, tezlerin yapıldığı üniversitenin bulunduğu coğrafi bölge olarak ilk sırada Ege bölgesinin geldiği ve yine üniversite bazında bakıldığında üçer tezle en çok Bülent Ecevit Üniversitesi ve Uşak Üniversitesinde çalışma yapıldığı görülmüştür., This study aims to analyze the postgraduate theses in education sciences about critical reading in Turkey according to various parameters. The document analysis method, a qualitative research procedure, was employed to examine the theses in the corpus, which was derived from the archive of the Council of Higher Education by using the keyword "Critical Reading" in the thesis search section. In the present research, the contents of 37 accessible theses in education were analyzed from varied perspectives. The obtained data were analyzed with SPSS, a statistical software program, and tables were produced to present the generated frequencies and percentages. The analyses revealed that master's theses prevailed in the corpus and most of the authors were female, while their supervisors were predominantly male. A great majority of the supervisors were found to be associate professors, followed by full professors. It was observed that most of the analyzed postgraduate studies were performed in the Aegean region. The research also showed that most were conducted at Bülent Ecevit University (three theses) and Uşak University (three theses).
