The radio galaxy M87 is the central dominant galaxy of the Virgo Cluster.Very High Energy (VHE,$\gtrsim 0.1$ TeV) emission, from M87 has been detectedby Imaging Air Cherenkov Telescopes (IACTs ). Recently, marginal evidence forVHE long-term emission has also been observed by the High Altitude WaterCherenkov (HAWC) Observatory, a gamma ray and cosmic-ray detector array locatedin Puebla, Mexico. The mechanism that produces VHE emission in M87 remainsunclear. This emission is originated in its prominent jet, which has beenspatially resolved from radio to X-rays. In this paper, we constructed aspectral energy distribution from radio to gamma rays that is representative ofthe non-flaring activity of the source, and in order to explain the observedemission, we fit it with a lepto-hadronic emission model. We found that thismodel is able to explain non-flaring VHE emission of M87 as well as an orphanflare reported in 2005.

The High Altitude Water Cerenkov (HAWC) and IceCube observatories, through the Astrophysical Multimessenger Observatory Network (AMON) framework, have developed a multimessenger joint search for extragalactic astrophysical sources. This analysis looks for sources that emit both cosmic neutrinos and gamma rays that are produced in photohadronic or hadronic interactions. The AMON system is running continuously, receiving subthreshold data (i.e. data that are not suited on their own to do astrophysical searches) from HAWC and IceCube, and combining them in real time. Here we present the analysis algorithm, as well as results from archival data collected between 2015 June and 2018 August, with a total live time of 3.0 yr. Urticaria and angioedema account for many visits to emergency departments. It is important to diagnose and treat them properly at this level of care and to suggest treatments and guidance that can make additional visits unnecessary. A panel of experts in dermatology and emergency medicine reviewed the main guidelines and publications on urticaria and angioedema. The panel then developed and reached consensus on practical approaches and tools for managing urticaria, angioedema, and anaphylaxis in the emergency department. The resulting statement is a guide to management, with algorithms for differential diagnosis and treatment and recommendations for patient referral. Implementing these guidelines, which are supported by the Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (AEDV) and the Spanish Society of Emergency Medicine (SEMES) will facilitate optimal management of emergency department patients with urticaria and angioedema as well as improve interdepartmental relations.

Endonasal surgery is a minimally invasive approach for the removal of pituitary tumors (sarcomas). In this type of procedure, the surgeon has to complete the surgical maneuvers for sarcoma resection with extreme precision, as there are many vital structures in this area. Therefore, the use of robots for this type of intervention could increase the success of the intervention by providing accurate movements. Research has focused on the development of teleoperated robots to handle a surgical instrument, including the use of virtual fixtures to delimit the working area. This paper aims to go a step further with a platform that includes a teleoperated robot and an autonomous robot dedicated to secondary tasks. In this way, the aim is to reduce the surgeon's workload so that he can concentrate on his main task. Thus, the article focuses on the description and implementation of a navigator that coordinates both robots via a force/position control. Finally, both the navigation and control scheme were validated by in-vitro tests.

The High Altitude Water Cerenkov (HAWC) and IceCube observatories, through the Astrophysical Multimessenger Observatory Network (AMON) framework, have developed a multimessenger joint search for extragalactic astrophysical sources. This analysis looks for sources that emit both cosmic neutrinos and gamma rays that are produced in photohadronic or hadronic interactions. The AMON system is running continuously, receiving subthreshold data (i.e., data that are not suited on their own to do astrophysical searches) from HAWC and IceCube, and combining them in real time. Here we present the analysis algorithm, as well as results from archival data collected between 2015 June and 2018 August, with a total live time of 3.0 yr. - Abstract
[EN] The impact of individual and combined pulsed electric field (PEF) and high power ultrasound (HPU) on the inactivation of different microorganisms in emulsions was investigated. The highest inactivation level using PEF was 2.6, 1.2 and 0.1 log-cycles for Escherichia coli, Aspergillus niger and Bacillus pumilus, respectively, achieved at the highest energy level and temperature (152.3-176.3 kJ/kg and 25 degrees C). HPU led to the highest reduction (5.4, 4.3 and 0.3 log-cycles for E. coli, A. niger and B. pumilus, respectively) after the longest treatment time studied (3 min). PEF (152.3-176.3 kJ/kg) followed by HPU (3 min) was found to be the most effective sequence, leading to synergistic effects (6.6 and 1.0 log-cycles for A. niger and B. pumilus, respectively), compared to the individual treatments. PEF-HPU is a promising hurdle technology with which to inactivate vegetative bacteria or fungal spores in emulsions. However, limited inactivation was achieved for bacterial spores.

- Abstract
Core-collapse supernovae are among the most magnificent events in the observable universe. They produce many of the chemical elements necessary for life to exist and their remnants -- neutron stars and black holes -- are interesting astrophysical objects in their own right. However, despite millennia of observations and almost a century of astrophysical study, the explosion mechanism of core-collapse supernovae is not yet well understood. Hyper-Kamiokande is a next-generation neutrino detector that will be able to observe the neutrino flux from the next galactic core-collapse supernova in unprecedented detail. We focus on the first 500 ms of the neutrino burst, corresponding to the accretion phase, and use a newly-developed, high-precision supernova event generator to simulate Hyper-Kamiokande's response to five different supernova models. We show that Hyper-Kamiokande will be able to distinguish between these models with high accuracy for a supernova at a distance of up to 100 kpc. Once the next galactic supernova happens, this ability will be a powerful tool for guiding simulations towards a precise reproduction of the explosion mechanism observed in nature., Comment: 21 pages, 7 figures.
