With the deepening of oilfield development, logging data proliferate, and their complexity makes manual stratigraphic division both difficult and time-consuming. Aimed at the current network model widely used to solve the problem of stratigraphic delineation, which has problems such as not considering the multi-scale features of logging curves and insufficient accuracy, the YOLOv8x target detection algorithm in deep learning is utilized to detect the target strata, which has the ability to characterize the multi-scale features and can improve the efficiency and accuracy of the division. In order to better localize and identify targets, this paper proposes a new stratigraphic automatic division method, YOLOv8x-CAMDP, which introduces a CA (Coordinate Attention) mechanism module into the original YOLOv8x model to improve the model’s ability to identify stratigraphic interval boundaries. In addition, the CIOU loss function in the original YOLOv8x network model was replaced using the MDPIOU loss function to effectively improve the accuracy and efficiency of bounding box regression. Based on the logging data from the Xing 10 area pure oil zone, a thorough comparison of the YOLOv8x-CAMDP and YOLOv8x models’ training results is presented. The YOLOv8x-CAMDP model achieves a mean Average Precision (mAP) value of 98.7%, outperforming the YOLOv8x model by one percentage point. Moreover, the YOLOv8x-CAMDP model demonstrates greater precision in boundary division for each stratigraphic interval. The application of the YOLOv8x-CAMDP model to project implementation achieved significant results in stratigraphic division, reduced workload, and optimized manual division. These results not only confirm the practical value of the YOLOv8x-CAMDP model but also demonstrate the prospect and potential of its wide application.

Parkinson’s disease (PD) is the second most common neurodegenerative disorder, affecting the lives of millions of people worldwide. Although the mechanism underlying PD pathogenesis is largely undefined, increasing evidence indicates that oxidative and nitrosative stresses play a crucial role in PD occurrence and development. Among them, the role of oxidative stress has been widely acknowledged, but there is relatively less attention given to nitrosative stress, which is mainly derived from peroxynitrite. In the present review, after briefly introducing the background of PD, we discuss the physiopathological function of peroxynitrite and especially highlight how overloaded peroxynitrite is involved in PD pathogenesis. Then, we summarize the currently reported fluorescence imaging-based peroxynitrite detection probes. Moreover, we specifically emphasize the probes that have been applied in PD research. Finally, we propose perspectives on how to develop a more applicable peroxynitrite probe and leverage it for PD theranostics. Conclusively, the present review broadens the knowledge on the pathological role of peroxynitrite in the context of PD and sheds light on how to develop and utilize fluorescence imaging-based strategies for peroxynitrite detection.

Abstract Background Lipodystrophy-associated metabolic disorders caused by Seipin deficiency lead to not only severe lipodystrophy but also neurological disorders. However, the underlying mechanism of Seipin deficiency-induced neuropathy is not well elucidated, and the possible restorative strategy needs to be explored. Methods In the present study, we used Seipin knockout (KO) mice, combined with transcriptome analysis, mass spectrometry imaging, neurobehavior test, and cellular and molecular assay to investigate the systemic lipid metabolic abnormalities in lipodystrophic mice model and their effects on adult neurogenesis in the subventricular zone (SVZ) and olfactory function. After subcutaneous adipose tissue (AT) transplantation, metabolic and neurological function was measured in Seipin KO mice to clarify whether restoring lipid metabolic homeostasis would improve neurobehavior. Results It was found that Seipin KO mice presented the ectopic accumulation of lipids in the lateral ventricle, accompanied by decreased neurogenesis in adult SVZ, diminished new neuron formation in the olfactory bulb, and impaired olfactory-related memory. Transcriptome analysis showed that the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in SVZ of adult Seipin KO mice were significantly enriched in lipid metabolism. Mass spectrometry imaging showed that the levels of glycerophospholipid and diglyceride (DG) were significantly increased. Furthermore, we found that AT transplantation rescued the abnormality of peripheral metabolism in Seipin KO mice and ameliorated the ectopic lipid accumulation, concomitant with restoration of the SVZ neurogenesis and olfactory function. Mechanistically, PKCα expression was up-regulated in SVZ tissues of Seipin KO mice, which may be a potential mediator between lipid dysregulation and neurological disorder. DG analogue (Dic8) can up-regulate PKCα and inhibit the proliferation and differentiation of neural stem cells (NSCs) in vitro, while PKCα inhibitor can block this effect. Conclusion This study demonstrates that Seipin deficiency can lead to systemic lipid disorder with concomitant SVZ neurogenesis and impaired olfactory memory. However, AT restores lipid homeostasis and neurogenesis. PKCα is a key mediator mediating Seipin KO-induced abnormal lipid metabolism and impaired neurogenesis in the SVZ, and inhibition of PKCα can restore the impaired neurogenesis. This work reveals the underlying mechanism of Seipin deficiency-induced neurological dysfunction and provides new ideas for the treatment of neurological dysfunction caused by metabolic disorders.

A self-consistent and precise method to determine the time-dependent radiative albedo, i.e., the ratio of the reemission flux to the incident flux, for an indirect-drive inertial confinement fusion Hohlraum wall material is proposed. A specially designed symmetrical triple-cavity gold Hohlraum is used to create approximately constant and near-equilibrium uniform radiation with a peak temperature of 160 eV. The incident flux at the secondary cavity waist is obtained from flux balance analysis and from the shock velocity of a standard sample. The results agree well owing to the symmetrical radiation in the secondary cavity. A self-consistent and precise time-dependent radiative albedo is deduced from the reliable reemission flux and the incident flux, and the result from the shock velocity is found to have a smaller uncertainty than that from the multi-angle flux balance analysis, and also to agree well with the result of a simulation using the HYADES opacity.

IntroductionThe black scraper, Thamnaconus modestus, is a highly valued marine fish species, but its output has gradually decreased in recent years, which may be due to its low survival rate during early ontogenesis.MethodsTherefore, in this study, we assessed the changes in growth, morphology, digestive enzymes, and hormone levels in T. modestus from 0–60 days post-hatching (dph) and revealed growth turning points by morphological measurement and determination of digestive enzyme activities and hormone levels. We found that ontogenesis could be divided into the larval (0–20 dph) and juvenile (20–60 dph) stages. Acid and alkaline protease activity significantly increased and decreased, respectively, from 12–25 dph, likely due to the development of stomach and gastric glands. Acid phosphatase levels significantly increased at 0 and 4 dph, which may be related to the regulation of metabolism and immune protection. A sharp increase in alkaline phosphatase levels at 20 and 25 dph was observed and was likely due to the development of the brush border membrane of enterocytes. The amylase level was significantly higher at 25, 30, and 35 dph, possibly due to better digestion and absorption during the transition from consuming Artemia to compound feed. In newly hatched larvae, the level of thyroid hormones triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4) gradually increased and peaked at 35 dph, highlighting the importance of these hormones during the development of T. modestus. Growth hormone (GH) levels first increased from 0–8 dph, with a plateau at 8–20 dph, and then increased at 25–30–35 dph. For insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), a significant increase with a subsequent plateau was observed between 8 and 20 dph, followed by a substantial decrease between 30 and 35 dph. These results suggest that the regulating functions of GH and IGF-1 are synchronised. Digestive enzyme activity and hormone levels of abnormal fry at 30 dph were lower than those of normal fish, highlighting the importance of specific hormones, especially T4 and IGF-1, in the development of T. modestus.

Abstract Sonodynamic therapy (SDT), a tumor treatment modality with high tissue penetration and low side effects, is able to selectively kill tumor cells by producing cytotoxic reactive oxygen species (ROS) with ultrasound‐triggered sonosensitizers. N‐type inorganic semiconductor TiO2 has low ROS quantum yields under ultrasound irradiation and inadequate anti‐tumor activity. Herein, by using atomic layer deposition (ALD) to create a heterojunction between porous TiO2 and CoOx, the sonodynamic therapy efficiency of TiO2 can be improved. Compared to conventional techniques, the high controllability of ALD allows for the delicate loading of CoOx nanoparticles into TiO2 pores, resulting in the precise tuning of the interfaces and energy band structures and ultimately optimal SDT properties. In addition, CoOx exhibits a cascade of H2O2→O2→·O2− in response to the tumor microenvironment, which not only mitigates hypoxia during the SDT process, but also contributes to the effect of chemodynamic therapy (CDT). Correspondingly, the synergistic CDT/SDT treatment is successful in inhibiting tumor growth. Thus, ALD provides new avenues for catalytic tumor therapy and other pharmaceutical applications.
