Os estudos, e a experiencia, mostram que essa reestruturacao dos espacos urbanos deve ser sustentavel e inteligente. Para compreensao do tema, primeiramente serao estudados os conceitos de arquitetura sustentavel e cidade inteligente. Observa-se que o tema sustentabilidade, pensado na sua totalidade, abrange aspectos socioeconomicos e ambientais, lancando desafios a pesquisa, a pratica e ao ensino. Ja o conceito de cidades inteligentes abrange, essencialmente, o uso de tecnologias inovadoras, as TIC’s, e a informatizacao dos sistemas e dados utilizados tanto pelo poder publico quanto privado. Chagas disease is a tropical infectious disease resulting in progressive organ-damage and currently lacks efficient treatment and vaccine options. The causative pathogen, Trypanosoma cruzi, requires uptake and processing of preformed purines from the host because it cannot synthesize these de novo, instigating the evaluation of modified purine nucleosides as potential trypanocides. By modifying the pyrimidine part of a previously identified 7-aryl-7-deazapurine nucleoside, we found that substitution of a 6-methyl for a 6-amino group allows retaining T. cruzi amastigote growth inhibitory activity but confers improved selectivity towards mammalian cells. By keeping the 6-methyl group unaltered, and introducing different 7-aryl groups, we identified several analogues with sub-micromolar antitrypanosomal activity. The 7-(4-chlorophenyl) analogue 14, which was stable in microsomes, was evaluated in an acute mouse model. Oral administration of 25 mg/kg b.i.d. suppressed peak parasitemia and protected mice from infection-related mortality, gave similar reductions as the reference drug of blood parasite loads determined by qPCR, but as benznidazole failed to induce sterile cure in the short time period of drug exposure (5 days).

For both, current treatments are largely inadequate, resulting in a continued need for new drug discovery. As both kinetoplastid parasites are incapable of de novo purine synthesis, they depend on purine salvage pathways that allow them to acquire and process purines from the host to meet their demands. Purine nucleoside analogues therefore constitute a logical source of potential antiparasitic agents. Earlier optimization efforts of the natural product tubercidin (7-deazaadenosine) involving modifications to the nucleobase 7-position and the ribofuranose 3'-position led to analogues with potent anti-Trypanosoma brucei and anti-Trypanosoma cruzi activities. In this work, we report the design and synthesis of pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine nucleosides with 3'- and 7-modifications and assess their potential as anti-Trypanosoma cruzi and antileishmanial agents. One compound was selected for in vivo evaluation in an acute Chagas disease mouse model.

The thermal effects of an igneous intrusion on organic-rich sedimentary rocks can be considering an important source of maturation of organic matter. The Permian Irati Formation of Paraná Basin (Brazil) is a carbonatic and organic-rich shale sequence intruded by Jurassic-Cretaceous basic rocks. This study reports possible effects of igneous intrusion on the organic matter content of Irati Formation, in Sapopema region (Paraná State). Total organic carbon (TOC), total sulfur (S) and insoluble residue (IR) data were combined with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The relatively low TOC values recorded in well where Irati Formation is in contact with 60 m of diabase sill (SP-58-PR) are residuals, associated with the depletion of organic carbon, caused by the thermal effect from the overlying intrusive rock. It was responsible to promote the cracking of the organic matter and reduced those values in relation to the original ones, observed in SP-32-PR (without thermal influence). When comparing the TOC peaks of the Assisting Member in both wells, it was observed that there was a decrease between 80.7 and 84% in the SP-58-PR. SEM images reveal that organic matter in Taquaral Member is sub-rounded and regular shape, while the organic matter in Assistência Member presents a characteristic pattern of thermally evolved organic matter.

Objective: to describe the risk factors that influence the self-injury behavior of adolescents assisted at a Psychosocial Care Center for Children and Adolescents, according to subjects’ own perceptions. Method: a descriptive, exploratory, qualitative study carried out through medical records and a focus group with 07 adolescents. The statements were submitted to thematic content analysis. Results: in the risk factors category, four subcategories emerged: Family adversity factors; Social contagion; Adverse life events; Personal characteristics. Conflicts, lack of support, drug use in the family, meeting someone who cuts themselves, social networks, religiosity, history of sexual violence and bullying were identified as risk factors that influence self-injury. Final Considerations: adolescents pointed out the need for prejudice-free dialogues in schools, in health and family devices, configuring protective factors to avoid this practice that comes from several negative events throughout life. RESUMEN Objetivo: describir los factores de riesgo que influyen en la conducta de automutilación de adolescentes atendidos en un Centro de Atención Psicosocial para niños y adolescentes, según la percepción del propio sujeto. Método: estudio descriptivo, exploratorio con abordaje cualitativo, realizado a través de historias clínicas y un grupo focal con 07 adolescentes. Los testimonios fueron sometidos a análisis de contenido temático. Resultados: en la categoría Factores de riesgo surgieron cuatro subcategorías: Factores de adversidad familiar; Contagio social; Eventos de vida adversos; Características personales. Los conflictos, la falta de apoyo, el uso de drogas en la familia, el encuentro con alguien que se corta, las redes sociales, la religiosidad, un historial de violencia sexual y bullying fueron identificados como factores de riesgo que influyen en la autolesión. Consideraciones finales: los adolescentes señalaron la necesidad de diálogos libres de prejuicios en las escuelas, en los dispositivos de salud y familiares, configurando factores protectores para evitar esta práctica que proviene de varios eventos negativos a lo largo de la vida. RESUMO Objetivo: descrever os fatores de risco que influenciam o comportamento da automutilação de adolescentes em atendimento em um Centro de Atenção Psicossocial Infantojuvenil, na percepção do próprio sujeito. Método: estudo descritivo, exploratório, de abordagem qualitativa, realizado por meio de prontuários e grupo focal com 07 adolescentes. Os depoimentos foram submetidos à análise temática de conteúdo. Resultados: na categoria Fatores de risco, surgiram quatro subcategorias: Fatores de adversidade familiar; Contágio social; Acontecimentos adversos de vida; Características pessoais. Conflitos, falta de suporte, uso de drogas na família, conhecer alguém que se corta, redes sociais, religiosidade, histórico de violência sexual e bullying foram identificados como fatores de risco que influenciam na automutilação. Considerações Finais: as adolescentes apontaram para a necessidade de diálogos livres de preconceitos nas escolas, nos dispositivos de saúde e família, configurando fatores de proteção para evitar essa prática que advém de diversos acontecimentos negativos ao longo da vida.

Provocando, deste modo, um contraste com a produção de definições políticas e jurídicas que costumam estar submetidas a um cenário discursivo extremamente seletivo em termos de agendas e agentes.Palavras-chave: Movimentos Sociais; Esfera pública; Ciências Criminais.AbstractIn this essay I hypothesize that the racial, gender, class and sexuality orders limit the potencial listening of the formulations presented in the public sphere by social movements and confine the discussion on the grounds of legal technicality. I argue that the greater permeability of the public sphere, in the last 30 years, to the arrival of subordinate counterpublics began to produce and reinforce contentious agendas of definitions of responsibility, crime and violence. This provokes a contrast with the production of political and juridical definitions that are usually subject to an extremely selective discursive scenario in terms of agendas and agents.Keywords: Social Movement; Public Sphere; Criminal Sciences.

Phenotypic assay against Leishmania amazonensis in vitro and in vivo led to identification of an adamantyl-based phenyl sulfonyl acetamide (compound 1) as a promising antileishmanial agent. Compound 1 inhibited the growth of intracellular forms of L. amazonensis (50% inhibitory concentration [IC 50 ] = 4 μM) and exhibited low toxicity to host cells, with a selectivity index (SI) of >125. However, in a cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) mouse model, compound 1 did not reduce lesions and parasite load when administered as monotherapy or when given simultaneously with a suboptimal dose of miltefosine.

This qualitative research aimed to investigate workers' theoretical conceptions regarding group work and analyze the driving and restrictive factors of group therapeutic practice in Psychosocial Care Centers (CAPS). Sixty-six workers from CAPS and outpatient clinics from the Psychosocial Care Network from twenty-three municipalities in the State of Goiás participated in the study. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and a group interview audio-recorded and documented with photographs. The concept of what the group is and is not emerged from the thematic analysis of the data. The categories were organized into three analysis blocks concerning driving and restrictive forces: service-related, professional-related, and user-related. Relational, structural, and therapeutic aspects and professional competence for group coordination are integrated in an antagonistic, complementary, and inseparable way to apprehend the studied reality. We conclude that highlighting the restrictive aspects that must be recognized and improved and the drivers that must be maintained and enhanced can actively contribute to expanding the therapeutic capacity related to the use of group technology in mental health.O objetivo desta pesquisa qualitativa foi investigar as concepções teóricas dos trabalhadores sobre o grupo bem como analisar os fatores impulsores e restritivos da prática terapêutica grupal nos Centros de Atenção Psicossocial (CAPS). Participaram do estudo 66 trabalhadores de CAPS e ambulatórios da Rede de Atenção Psicossocial (RAPS) de 23 municípios do estado de Goiás. A coleta de dados se deu por meio de questionário estruturado e entrevista grupal registrada em gravação de áudio e fotografias. Da análise temática dos dados emergiram o conceito do que o grupo é e do que o grupo não é. Tanto no eixo das forças impulsoras, quanto das forças restritivas, as categorias foram organizadas em três blocos de análise: aspectos relacionados ao serviço, aos profissionais e aos usuários. Aspectos relacionais, estruturais, terapêuticos e a competência profissional para a coordenação de grupo se integram de modo antagônico, complementar e indissociável para apreensão da realidade estudada. Conclui-se que evidenciar os aspectos restritivos que precisam ser reconhecidos e aprimorados bem como os impulsores que precisam ser mantidos e potencializados pode contribuir ativamente para ampliar a capacidade terapêutica do uso da tecnologia grupal no contexto da saúde mental.

O transtorno de ansiedade é considerado uma associação de sentimentos, como o medo, a angústia e a preocupação. Esse transtorno vem sendo considerado o mal do último século, dadas as mudanças significativas ocorridas na atual sociedade moderna, tecnológica e competitiva. A entrada do estudante no ensino superior é cercada de muita expectativa, nesse contexto, o ambiente universitário gera um cenário desgastante que pode provocar transtornos ansiosos nos estudantes. Dessa forma, objetivou-se investigar os níveis de ansiedade em alunos universitários de 1º período nos cursos da área da saúde da UniFacema. Esse estudo trata-se de uma pesquisa de campo, exploratória, descritiva, de corte transversal, com abordagem quantitativa. A amostra desse estudo foi constituída por 199 acadêmicos de ambos os sexos, dos primeiros períodos de cursos na área da saúde. Utilizou-se como instrumentos de coleta de dados um questionário sociodemográfico e a Escala de Ansiedade de Zung. Como resultados constatou-se que ser do sexo feminino, ser divorciado, mudar da sua localidade para estudar, cursar Odontologia ou Educação Física configuraram-se como fator de risco para ansiedade. Conclui-se que o início da graduação é um momento novo e que muitas vezes podem deixar o sujeito ansioso, diante disso, foram observados níveis normais de ansiedade e ainda, ansiedade leve. Neste ponto, observa-se a importância de uma abordagem multidisciplinar a estes acadêmicos, com ênfase nos cuidados psicológicos, destacando o papel do psicólogo para a prevenção de quadros de ansiedade patológica.

Cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) is one of the most disregarded tropical neglected disease with the occurrence of self-limiting ulcers and triggering mucosal damage and stigmatizing scars, leading to huge public health problems and social negative impacts. Pentavalent antimonials are the first-line drug for CL treatment for over 70 years and present several drawbacks in terms of safety and efficacy. Thus, there is an urgent need to search for non-invasive, non-toxic and potent drug candidates for CL. In this sense, we have implemented a shape-based virtual screening approach and identified a set of 32 hit compounds. In vitro phenotypic screenings were conducted using these hit compounds to check their potential leishmanicidal effect towards Leishmania amazonensis (L. amazonensis). Two (Cp1 and Cp2) out of the 32 compounds revealed promising antiparasitic activities, exhibiting considerable potency against intracellular amastigotes present in peritoneal macrophages (IC50 values of 9.35 and 7.25 μm, respectively). Also, a sterile cidality profile was reached at 20 μm after 48 h of incubation, besides a reasonable selectivity (≈8), quite similarly to pentamidine, a diamidine still in use clinically for leishmaniasis. Cp1 with an oxazolo[4,5-b]pyridine scaffold and Cp2 with benzimidazole scaffold could be developed by lead optimization studies to enhance their leishmanicidal potency.

As novas tecnologias da informação e comunicação (TIC) difundiram-se de forma ampla criando um novo paradigma social. Consagrou-se a quinta dimensão dos direitos fundamentais e, nesse viés, surgiu o Constitucionalismo Digital, uma das vertentes do constitucionalismo contemporâneo. Essa nova perspectiva baseia-se nas mudanças ocorridas nas sociedades contemporâneas com a mundialização das interações. Tem-se como objetivo analisar, numa perspectiva normativa e histórica, as TIC como elemento central para a consecução de direitos e garantias. Utilizar-se-á uma pesquisa teórica a partir de um arsenal bibliográfico capaz de instigar a reflexão sobre as TIC para o progresso da humanidade.

Background: Analysis of locomotion is often used as a measure for impairment and recovery following experimental peripheral nerve injury. Compared to rodents, sheep offer several attractive features as an experimental model for studying peripheral nerve regeneration. There are no studies on locomotion outcomes after peripheral nerve injury and repair in the sheep model. In the present study, we performed and compared two-dimensional (2D) and, for the first time, three-dimensional (3D) hindlimb kinematics during obstacle avoidance in the ovine model. This study aimed to obtain kinematic data to serve as a template for an objective assessment of the ankle joint motion in future studies of common peroneal nerve (CP) injury and repair in the ovine model. Results: The strategy used by the sheep to bring the hindlimb over a moderately high obstacle, set to 10% of its hindlimb length, was the pronounced knee, ankle and metatarsophalangeal flexion when approaching and clearing the obstacle. Despite the overall time course kinematic patterns about the hip, knee, ankle, and metatarsophalangeal were identical, we found significant differences between values of the 2D and 3D joint angular motion. Conclusions: Our results show that the most apparent changes that occurred during the gait cycle were for the ankle and metatarsophalangeal joints, whereas the hip and knee joints were much less affected. Data and techniques described here are likely to be useful for an objective assessment of altered gait after CP injury and repair in an ovine model.

A quantidade de pessoas que iniciam e que concluem as pós-graduações é discrepante, mesmo considerando-se a duração deles. O objetivo foi adaptar a Escala de Motivos de Evasão do Ensino Superior (M-ES) para a Pós-Graduação. Foram realizados dois estudos, no primeiro os itens foram avaliados por juízes e novos foram criados em função do contexto. No segundo, participaram 639 pessoas, entre 21 e 62 anos, a maioria cursando a pós-graduação (75%). A versão de 7 fatores foi a que apresentou os melhores índices de ajuste e foi composta por motivos interpessoais, relacionados à carreira, falta de suporte, desempenho acadêmico, produção científica, reconhecimento acadêmico e institucionais. Os alfas dos fatores variaram de 0,61 a 0,97. A ciência é fundamental para o desenvolvimento de qualquer nação e é necessário garantir que as pessoas envolvidas em pesquisas tenham condições adequadas para concluírem seus cursos e contribuam com esse desenvolvimento.

Obesity leads to an imbalance in the autonomic nervous system, especially in increased sympathetic modulation and decreased vagal tone, and some anthropometric, metabolic, and lifestyle variables may increase the risk of developing cardiovascular disease. Objective. To analyze the association between cardiovascular autonomic modulation and biochemical and anthropometric markers, food intake, and physical activity level in severely obese individuals. Methodology. The present study is a cutout of a randomized clinical trial “Effect of nutritional intervention and olive oil in severe obesity” (DieTBra Trial), where the baseline data were analyzed. Anthropometric data, biochemical exams, heart rate variability (HRV), accelerometry, and 24 h recall (R24H) of obese patients (body mass index BMI ≥35 kg/m2) were collected. Results. 64 obese patients were analyzed, with a mean age of 39.10 ± 7.74 years (27 to 58 years). By HRV analysis, in the frequency domain, the obese had a higher predominance of sympathetic autonomic modulation (low frequency (LF) 56.44 ± 20.31 nu) and lower parasympathetic modulation (high frequency (HF) 42.52 ± 19.18 nu). A negative association was observed between the variables Homeostasis Evaluation Model (HOMA-IR) and HF (p=0.049). In the physical activity analysis, there was a negative association between moderate to vigorous physical activity and the sympathetic component (p=0.043), and for sedentary time (ST), there was a negative association with HF (p=0.049) and LF/HF (p=0.036) and a positive association with LF (p=0.014). For multiple linear regression, waist circumference (WC) and HOMA-IR values were negatively associated with HF (β = −0.685, p=0.010; β = −14.989, p=0.010; respectively). HOMA-IR (β = 0.141, p=0.003) and the percentage of lipids ingested (β = −0.030, p=0.043) were negatively associated with LF/HF. Conclusion. Among the cardiovascular risk variables studied, insulin resistance and central adiposity showed the greatest influence on cardiac autonomic modulation of obese, increasing the risk for cardiovascular disease.

The objective of the present study was to identify the diseases that affect the health of children who uses daycare centers in a municipality in Goiás inland, and to point out the conducts performed by the collaborators in early childhood education when detecting them. This is a quantitative, descriptive research, performed in public daycare centers. It was selected a probabilistic sample of daycare centers representing 50% of the institutions. The study population were the assistants and educational auxiliaries, because they are the employees who act directly in the children care. The data collection occurred in only one-step, by signing the ‘Free and Informed Consent Term’ (TCLE) and applying a semi-structured questionnaire, with open and closed questions. The CEP approved the study with the Opinion of N.º 3.612.776. The Microsoft Excel software, version 2010 transcribed and stored the data. Then, descriptive analyses of the data were performed by using absolute frequency distribution (N) and relative frequency (%). The presence of such diseases was observed: influenza (90%), viruses (74%) and allergies (40%). The present study evidenced that there is an adequate and responsible conduct of the daycare center collaborators when they observe any problems in the children, registering the occurrences in a proper form for this purpose, they communicate the direction of the institution, as well as the parents and guardians, and, administer medication by updated medical prescription. It was concluded that it is of extremely importance the daycare centers maintain control regarding the existence and prevalence of diseases in enrolled and effective children, in order to create strategies for reducing them through health promotion, both for the children and for the collaborators themselves.

Spinal cord trauma induced by ballistic projectiles is considered uncommon in domestic animals, particularly in cats. Outdoor, and indoor-outdoor cats are at greater risk of receiving gunshot wounds. Despite their small size, moderate speed and poor aerodynamic design, projectiles from compressed air guns (pellet guns) can cause severe injury. Treatment and prognosis of animals presented with gun-related injuries can vary considerably, depending on the affected spinal segment location of the lesions, and extent of tissue damage. Due to the unusual occurrence, of this type of trauma in feline patients, the goal of this report is to describe the neurologic, radiographic, and surgical findings in five cats with spinal injury secondary to air gun projectiles.

415 Background: Given their rarity, the literature on non-germ cell testicular tumors and paratesticular malignancies is still scarce. The objective of this study is to describe clinical and pathological features, as well as treatment patterns and outcomes, of patients with non-germ cell intrascrotal malignancies. Methods: Patients (pts) with benign or malignant non-germ cell intrascrotal tumors who were older than 18 years-old were deemed eligible. Electronic health records (EHR) were reviewed to assess pts clinical features, and disease characteristics and outcomes. Descriptive statistics was used to report data. RECIST 1.1 was used to determine radiological response to treatment. Time-to-event variables were estimated by the Kaplan-Meier method. Results: EHR of 885 pts with a primary diagnosis of ICD-10 C62 treated in a tertiary cancer center from January 2009 to June 2020 were reviewed for eligibility. 29 pts fulfilled eligibility criteria (Sertoli cell tumors, N = 3; Leydig cell tumors, N = 6; granulosa cell tumor, N = 1; testicular tumor of the androgenital syndrome, N = 1; mesotheliomas, N = 3; liposarcomas, N = 3; leiomyosarcomas N = 2; rhabdomyosarcomas, N = 3; spindle cell sarcomas, N = 3; lymphomas, N = 2; carcinoma of the rete testis, N = 1; primary neuroendocrine tumor of the testis, N = 1). The majority of pts (N = 25) had non-metastatic disease at diagnosis, and underwent upfront orchiectomy. The remaining four patients had metastatic disease at diagnosis (lymphoma, N = 1; sarcomas, N = 3), all positive for lymph node (LN) involvement; one with concurrent visceral metastasis. Six other pts posteriorly developed metastatic disease after a median follow-up of 13 months (IQR: 5.8–33.1 months) (Leydig tumor, N = 1; mesothelioma, N = 2; sarcomas, N = 3). The most common metastatic sites were LN (N = 8, 80%), lung (N = 4, 40%), bone (N = 3, 30%), adrenal gland (N = 2, 20%), peritoneum (N = 1, 10%), and skin (N = 1, 10%). Nine pts (90%) received systemic treatment: vincristine, doxorubicin and cyclophosphamide for rhabdomyosarcomas (N = 3), cisplatin plus pemetrexed for mesotheliomas (N = 2), doxorubicin for liposarcomas (N = 2), doxorubicin plus ifosfamide for liposarcoma (N = 1) and doxorubicin, vincristine, cyclophosphamide, and prednisone plus rituximab for lymphoma (N = 1). Of those, 2 pts achieved partial response and 2 had stable disease. Metastasectomy of a single lung metastasis was performed in a patient with metastatic Leydig cell tumor. Median overall survival was 51.2 and 24.5 months for patients with localized and metastatic disease, respectively. Conclusions: Paratesticular and non-germ cell testicular tumors are extremely rare entities with relatively good prognosis if treated at early stages depending on the underlying histology. Most metastatic disease cases were due to paratesticular sarcomas.

There always have been some hurdles when it comes to the adequate use of didactical experimental activities in science education, such as the lack of proper training, insufficient time, and inadequate infrastructure. At this very moment, the pandemic has taught us that there may be also circumstances in which the traditional laboratory and the traditional activities are just not possible, thus online operable experiments might constitute a viable alternative for the practical lessons in higher education. In this paper, we discuss the development and the implementation of a remote-controlled didactical experiment on standing waves largely used in the physics basic program offered to the engineering courses. The development has combined applied knowledge from different areas, i.e. electric and electronics engineering, and computer science. In order to ascertain the experiment consistency, we have gathered data from the wave propagation speed and from the corresponding tension applied to the string and performed a χ-square linear fit in order to determine the correlation between the logarithm of both parameters. The experiment was successfully implemented and has been accessed by hundreds of different users from more than 30 different countries ever since. It has also been largely employed in practical activities at the university and has shown no significant signs of instability. It exhibited a total latency time inferior to 0.8 s on average and the results drawn from data it provides have shown to be accurate, within less than 0.8% of deviation with respect to the theoretical results.

Neste texto analiso o caso dos presos desaparecidos da Penitenciária de Alcaçuz (RN), em 2017. Para tanto, sigo a comunicação oficial entre o Mecanismo Nacional de Prevenção e Combate à Tortura (MNPCT) e as instituições estatais no Rio Grande do Norte (Ministério Público estadual, Poder Judiciário estadual e órgãos do Poder Executivo) ocorridas entre janeiro de 2017 e novembro de 2018. Pretendo compreender de que modo a prática burocrática disputa a nomeação do fenômeno do desaparecimento de presos como causa pública e como produz a gestão dos desaparecimentos. Inspirada pela etnografia de documentos, levo em conta os documentos em seu tempo, forma, estética e conteúdo.

Objetivo: descrever a experiência do uso da tecnologia grupal no ensino em saúde mental para Enfermagem, na perspectiva dos docentes. Método: trata-se de um relato de experiência, desenvolvida em 2018 em uma universidade pública da região central do Brasil, de natureza descritiva e feito por docentes. Nesse sentido, a estratégia pedagógica da disciplina de Saúde Mental foi fundamentada nos princípios da Educação de Laboratório e os recursos de aprendizagem utilizados priorizavam as atividades grupais em nove encontros da disciplina. Além disso, as informações analisadas estavam contidas nos diários de campo utilizados pelos docentes para subsidiar o processo de avaliação das estratégias grupais que acontecia durante as reuniões de planejamento, a cada aula, no decorrer das aulas e ao final da disciplina. Resultados: os recursos da tecnologia grupal utilizados foram descritos pelos docentes que observaram e relataram sensibilização para mudança nas atitudes dos alunos, focalização dos princípios da relação de ajuda nas intervenções da Enfermagem, ampliação da autoconfiança e autodescoberta, consequentemente, a competência interpessoal nas relações empreendidas. Conclusão: as experiências grupais ao longo da disciplina permitiram evidenciar a potencialidade da tecnologia grupal para o ensino de saúde mental na perspectiva da compreensão das interações humanas e reflexão dos elementos relacionados à manutenção do bem-estar mental das pessoas.

Currently, the best resources for assessment of bone tissue using imaging techniques are expensive and available in few medical facilities, thus serum or urinary bone turnover biomarkers could be useful as early indicators of prognosis. Introduction: The objective of this study was to evaluate the short-term stability of the serum samples used as internal quality control (IQC) of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (Aids) and syphilis immunodiagnostic assays. These samples were produced at the Center of Immunology-Instituto Adolfo Lutz (IAL), and they were distributed to laboratories participating in the IAL Quality Control Program. Method: The sera analyzed by chemiluminescence assay were stored at varied temperature conditions: from 2ºC to 8ºC (refrigerator), from 15ºC to 25ºC (room temperature), at 37ºC (incubator) and at -20ºC (reference temperature) for 12 and 24 hours. Results: Comparative analysis of IQC results for anti-HIV and anti-T. pallidum (anti-treponemal) showed stability in the reference temperature and at the various simulated temperatures for transporting the samples at the established lengths of time. The data from the simple linear regression analysis of negative serum samples (incubator/24 hours) and in one batch of HIV IQC (room temperature/24 hours) were statistically significant at the level of 5% (p-value < 0.05). Conclusion: The sera presented necessary requirements as reference material to be transported to laboratories at refrigeration temperature (2ºC to 8ºC), at the maximum shipping time of 12 hours. RESUMO Introdução: O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a estabilidade de curta duração de amostras de soro utilizadas como controle de qualidade interno (CQI) de testes imunodiagnósticos de vírus da imunodeficiência humana (HIV)/síndrome da imunodeficiência adquirida (Aids) e sífilis, produzidas no Centro de Imunologia do Instituto Adolfo Lutz (IAL) e distribuídas aos laboratórios participantes do Programa de Controle de Qualidade do IAL. Método: Os soros analisados por meio de ensaio de quimioluminescência foram armazenados em diferentes condições de temperaturas: de 2ºC a 8ºC (geladeira), de 15ºC a 25ºC (ambiente), 37ºC (estufa) e de -20ºC (referência) durante 12 e 24 horas. Resultados: A análise comparativa dos resultados do CQI HIV e T. pallidum (antitreponêmico) demonstrou que os materiais permaneceram estáveis, tanto na temperatura de referência quanto nas diferentes temperaturas simuladas para o transporte, no período de tempo estabelecido. No entanto, os resultados da análise de regressão linear simples das amostras de soro negativas (estufa/24 horas) e de um lote de CQI HIV (ambiente/24 horas) foram estatisticamente significativos ao nível de 5% (valor de p < 0,05). Conclusão: Os soros apresentaram requisitos necessários de material de referência para serem transportados aos laboratórios em temperatura de refrigeração (2ºC a 8ºC) no tempo máximo de 12 horas.

Bone turnover markers (BTMs) are product of bone cell activity and are generally divided in bone formation and bone resorption markers. The purpose of this review was to structure the available information on the use of BTMs in studies on small ruminants, especially for monitoring their variations related to diet, exercise, gestation and metabolic lactation state, circadian and seasonal variations, and also during skeletal growth. Pre-clinical and translational studies using BTMs with sheep and goats as animal models in orthopaedic research studies to help in the evaluation of the fracture healing process and osteoporosis research are also described in this review. The available information from the reviewed studies was systematically organized in order to highlight the most promising BTMs in small ruminant research, as well as provide a wide view of the use of sheep and goat as animal models in orthopaedic research, type of markers and commercial assay kits with cross-reactivity in sheep and goat, method of sample and storage of serum and urine for bone turnover markers determination and the usefulness and limitations of bone turnover markers in the different studies, therefore an effective tool for researchers that seek answers to different questions while using BTMs in small ruminants., José Arthur de A. This essay presents the purpose which took place from 2011 through 2014, by the Professional Trainning of Social Occupational Therapy of the Occupational Therapy Course at Federal University of São Paulo in the city of Santos, SP. Aligned to the National Politics of Social Assistance as well as Social Occupational Therapy practical/theoretical assumptions, was designed territorial actions - individual and collective - to strengthen, to create and to form family and people relational networks, and people from Santos served by a social protection network - basic and/or special of medium and high complexity -, based on the demand presented through a process of creating bonds of trust between occupational therapist and subject/group. In this sense, it is described and reflected on five experiences: the support to the Regional Meetings from a Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS), the work composition of a CRAS with a Social Service for young people and three individual and territorial support. This experience reveals the challenge of educating the student based on the other one need, as well as based on its territory and intersectoriality as a practice with efficiency.

A tuberculose intestinal na grande maioria dos casos é uma complicação da doença pulmonar, ocasionada pela deglutição de escarro infectado. Com o surgimento da Síndrome da imunodeficiência adquirida (SIDA), houve um aumento significante na incidência da tuberculose de uma forma geral. A região ileocecal constitui o sítio de maior comprometimento. Palidez, perda ponderal, sudorese noturna e febre são os achados mais comuns ao exame físico. Dor abdominal é o principal achado no exame abdominal. A complicação mais freqüente é a obstrução intestinal. O diagnóstico pré-operatório é muito difícil, sendo o de certeza dado pelo exame histopatológico ou em culturas de tecidos. O tratamento cirúrgico está indicado nos casos de raras complicações.

Objectives: Analyze the effects of the combination of Transcranial Direct Stimulation (tDCS) with peripheral stimulation (PES) on the activity of the tibialis anterior (TA) paretic and balance of hemiparetic post stroke.

Resumo Este artigo aborda, sob o marco teórico da vitimologia feminista de Sandra Walklate, de gênero de Raewyn Connel e de stalking de Marlene Matos e Helena Grangeia, a maneira como as decisões judiciais operam o conceito de gênero em suas decisões associadas a casos de stalking, a partir das categorias de violência, risco e medo. Os objetos de análise foram oito Medidas Protetivas de Urgência (MPUs) indeferidas que passaram pela Defensoria Pública do Distrito Federal - Núcleo de Violência Doméstica e Familiar contra a Mulher, entre janeiro e julho de 2017, as quais apresentavam condutas de stalking. A partir da metodologia da análise de conteúdo, descobriu-se que os indeferimentos das MPUs se deram sob três vertentes: i) desconsideração das violências de gênero; ii) rejeição do medo da vítima como categoria legítima para se avaliar pedidos de MPUs; iii) baixa avaliação do risco para a segurança da vítima nos casos em que não se operam violências físicas.
