Abstract

This paper investigates spacecraft attitude control problem to achieve global fast tracking maneuvers. The concept of state-space form is initially introduced into spacecraft attitude dynamics and kinematics based on the unit quaternion, and then robust finite-time controllers are proposed based on geometric homogeneity and integral sliding mode. Furthermore, gain adaptation laws are employed and developed to eliminate the requirement of boundaries with respect to the lumped uncertainties, while there is no overestimation of the gains. Moreover, global finite-time controllers are designed to get across the singular point caused by the unit quaternion. Abstract

With the increasing integration of grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) power generation system, the short-term climate prediction is becoming critical. In this paper, we propose a novel evolution Kalman filter (ELKF) based short-term climate prediction algorithm, which combines the advantages of statistical and dynamic methods. We first establish the Kalman forecast recursive model, and then apply the genetic algorithm (GA) to optimize the transfer matrix which reflects the interaction relationship of prediction factors in a Kalman filter. The experiment to predict average sunshine hours and daily temperature for a certain place is conducted. The simulation results demonstrate that, compared with the traditional Kalman filter, our approach enhances the prediction accuracy for average sunshine hours within 1 h by 16.5% and for average daily temperature within 1°C by 5.8%. 185. Nonlinear disturbance observer-based model predictive control for a generic hypersonic vehicle.

Abstract

This article investigates a nonlinear disturbance observer-based model predictive control algorithm for the longitudinal dynamics of a generic hypersonic vehicle under external disturbances and system parameter perturbations. The model predictive control is combined with the nonlinear disturbance observer technique for uncertainty compensation. The nonlinear dynamics are first transformed into the linear structure with state-dependent coefficient matrices. At each sampling instant, the internal state-space model for prediction is obtained through a normal discretization procedure. Based upon this model, the model predictive controller is designed in nominal condition. Finally, a nonlinear disturbance observer is presented to estimate the uncertainty and a disturbance compensation gain is designed to compensate the uncertainty. Particularly, the offset-free tracking feature of the output for the reference signal is proved. Simulations show that the controls and the states are all in their given constraint scopes, and velocity and altitude track the reference signals accurately in steady state even under mismatched disturbances.
