Experimental laboratories in technical institute are important part of the education areas. It demonstrates course concepts and brings theoretical ideas alive so students can more visualize and understand facts of theoretical concepts. Natural phenomenon affects the real world measurement and control the working algorithm. However, equipping a laboratory ubiquitously is an effective in cost and its maintenance can be difficult. Teaching assistants are required to instruct and setting up the well equipped laboratory, and grade the student report. These time-consuming and costly tasks turns in relatively low equipped laboratory also when teaching assistants and laboratory equipment are available experiments can be driven out. A lightweight web server as well as website interface has been developed, which restricts cost efficient laboratory equipment and measures electronic devices as “virtual laboratory” for any technical institute experiments to undergraduate as well as post graduate students. Recent progress in the field of biomedical imaging has led to the demand for large-scale three-dimensional (3D) image analysis in modern biology. Existing image-processing systems lack either cloud computing services or advanced 3D processing ability. This paper proposes a novel cloud-based communication platform for biomedical images. The system provides visualization, data management, and image-processing functions through a standard web browser. Therefore, the sharing of limited software and hardware resources is achieved, allowing for effective collaboration between researchers. Click jacking attacks are the emerging threats to websites, especially to online social networks (OSNs). In this paper, we describe some new attacks to online websites. The new Click jacking attacks cause serious damage to users by stealing their personal credentials or by sharing their personal information on social networks bringing moral degradation to them. The attacker applications are hidden behind the sensitive user interface to steal the clicks of the user and use them for the illegal purposes. To detect and prevent Click jacking attacks, we propose a browser-based solution referred to as Cursor Spoofing and Click jacking Prevention (CSCP). CSCP ensures protection Cursor spoofing attack with high effectiveness and also the Like jacking attacks, other variation of Click jacking attacks which associate malicious code to Facebook Like buttons. We have conducted our studies on 442 participants to evaluate the effectiveness of our attacks and also defenses. Results show that our attack success rate falls between 76% and 78%. A common application scenario for WSNs is that the sensor nodes sense the physical environment, process the sensed data and transmit them to remote user periodically. However, in most scenarios, client user is not interested in all the sensed data pushed by the gateway. Too much unnecessary sensed data may make a burden on the communication. In this paper, based on the OSGi (Open Service Gateway Initiative) platform, we propose an extensible and configurable WSN gateway with Data Process Engine. The sensed data can be examined, analyzed and filtered within the Data Process Engine, according to the queries that deployed by the client user. Furthermore, a gateway access method via web browser using XMLSocket is introduced in this paper. Finally we implement and deploy the gateway on the TI OMAP 3530 platform and an implementation scenario has been conducted to confirm the feasibility of this solution in an indoor environment. Mobile devices have already been widely used to access the Web. However, because most available web pages are designed for desktop PC, it is inconvenient to browse these large web pages on a mobile device with a small screen. In this paper, we propose a new web page transforming scheme to facilitate navigation on a small-form-factor device based on cloud computing. Different with other existing schemes, our approach is based on page segmentation and template-rendering. The semantic structure of a web page is extracted by DOM (Document Object Model) analyzing. Such semantic structure is hierarchical. Each node is corresponded to a block area of one web page and is in charge of reconstructing the whole web page. According to the requirements of the multiple municipal management information system integration, the principle and method for realizing cross-domain single sign-on in the municipal portal system is proposed. Based on analysis of the common single sign-on technology, this paper discusses designs of a CAS-based municipal portal single sign-on system. By storing user's authentication information on CAS server, this method solves the problems in cross-domain authentication and realizes the cross-domain single sign-on. Practical application shows that through the improvement of common CAS, the authentication and authorization can be separated, and municipal information system integration and sharing can be realized through established single sign-on municipal portal, thus providing convenience for the users to quickly access to the resources. Scalable visualization of big data is highly desired in several fields. A demonstrative example is annotated genetic data, where the DNA sequence can be better visualized using space-filling fractal curves. Though such approaches are already available in the literature, they are not applied routinely in the clinical practice. The reason of this undesired fact is that clinicians use well-established, but rather old gene browsers in their work. Naturally, these browsers lack state-of-the-art programming support and also visualization features. To help with this problem, in this paper, we propose a completion of a very widely used genome browser with scalable visualization techniques. The motivation of the work came from the clinical partner, since a good overview of the whole annotated DNA segment can lead to the recognition of currently unknown relations between genes. The concept of authentication assurance traditionally refers to the robustness of methods and mechanisms for user authentication, including the robustness of initial registration and provisioning of user credentials, as well as the robustness of mechanisms that enforce user authentication during operation. However, the user is not the only party that needs to be authenticated to ensure security of online transactions. In fact, online service provision always involves two parties, typically the user on the client side and the service provider on the server side, so that mutual authentication between the two sides is required. In contrast to the unilateral focus on user authentication by industry and academia, it is in fact equally important for the user to correctly authenticate the service provider. Unfortunately, little attention is paid to the problem of correctly authentication the service provider. This paper proposes a framework for server and service provider authentication assurance, similarly to frameworks for user authentication assurance that have already been specified, or are currently under development by many national governments. Many web applications employ session management to keep track of visitors' activities across pages and over periods of time. A session is a period of time linked to a visitor, which is initiated when he/she arrives at a web application and it ends when his/her browser is closed or after a certain time of inactivity. Attackers can hijack a user's session by exploiting session management vulnerabilities by means of session fixation and cross-site request forgery attacks. Even though such session management vulnerabilities can be eliminated in the development phase of web applications, the test operator is required to have detailed knowledge on the attacks and to set up a test environment each time he/she attempts to detect vulnerabilities. We propose a technique that automatically detects session management vulnerabilities in web applications by simulating real attacks. Our technique requires the test operator to only enter a few pieces of basic information about the web application, without requiring a test environment to be set up or detailed knowledge on the web application. Augmented Reality (AR) as a vastly growing technology in the mobile computing domain is becoming mature enough to engender a variety of applications for the end user, especially in the educational domain. In this paper, we explore the possibility of developing interactive quizzes mediated by Layar TM AR technology. These quizzes are created with no advanced programming skills. Smart embedded objects such as sensors and actuators will become an important part of the Internet of Things. With recent technologies, it has now become possible to deploy a sensor network and interconnect it with IPv6 Internet. However, several manual configuration steps are still needed to integrate a sensor network within an existing networking environment. In this paper we describe a novel self-organization solution to facilitate the deployment of sensor networks and enable the discovery, end-to-end connectivity and service usage of these newly deployed sensor nodes. The proposed approach makes use of embedded web service technology, i.e. the IETF Constrained Application Protocol (CoAP). Automatic hierarchical discovery of CoAP servers is one of the key features, resulting in a brows able hierarchy of CoAP servers, up to the level of the sensor resources, which can be accessed both over CoAP and HTTP and through the use of either DNS names or IPv6 addresses. In this modern-day society, people get information by using a search engine, and this is a very ordinary part of our lives. When users, however, begin to retrieve some information after their login on the portal sites, the data related to the user and the query information may be sent to the portal server to enhance the users' comfort. Here, the information that the user does not want to expose can be included. So, an invasion of privacy can occur and we have to protect this kind of incident. In this case, if the user hides all the information, the server can not show the customized result for the user, which can influence the advertising revenue. Moreover, there may be a general downward trend in the portal sites field. Thus, in this paper, we propose a user privacy preserving model in a search engine by using a homomorphic encryption algorithm on the user's policy to solve this problem. The Semantic Web is an extension of the Web where information is represented in a machine-process able way. Users can access the information on the Semantic Web using a Web browser such as Explorer or Safari. However, since the information is typically represented in RDF (Resource Description Framework), it is not always easy to understand what the information means. While existing Semantic Web browsers can help users understand the information on the Semantic Web, users need to have some knowledge on RDF and XML which is a base representation format for RDF. In this paper, we propose a simple Semantic Web browser for novice users. Using our system, users can easily access the information on the Semantic Web without technical knowledge on RDF. In this paper, we propose a system to collect human behavior in detail with higher-level tags such as attitude, accompanying-person, expenditure, tasks and so on. The system makes it possible to construct database to model higher-level human behaviors that are utilized in context-aware services. The system has two input methods, i.e., on-the-fly by a smart phone and post-processing by a PC browser. On the PC, users can interactively know where and when they were, which results in easily and accurately constructing human behavior database. To decrease numbers of operations, users' repetitions and similarity of among users are used. According to experiment results, the system successfully decreases operation time, higher-level tags are properly collected and behavior tendencies of the users are clearly captured. Current solutions to the problem of finding valuable information on the Web suffer from several limitations, including inconvenient query languages, arbitrary sorting or results and out-of-date information. In this paper a different solution to this problem is described. It is based on the idea of distributed processing of web pages in real-time. To provide sufficient performance, the approach of volunteer computing is utilized. It is based on using web browsers of users visiting particular web pages. The browsers perform necessary computation in background, executing programs written in JavaScript. In recent years, many computers and mobile devices have become connected to networks, thereby producing a ubiquitous network with vast computer resources, but presenting difficulties for using these resources effectively. To realize efficient utilization of computer resources, we specifically examine agent-oriented software computing because agent systems can use computer resources efficiently and intelligently. The DASH framework, a useful agent framework to develop and deploy a flexible agent system, has an agent repository that enables users to construct an agent system dynamically. However, the DASH framework presents two problems. First is a difficulty of finding appropriate agents to provide the service. Cloud Computing [1,2] is a "utility computing model" (John McCarthy, 1961), that allows the purchase of virtualized hardware (Infrastructure as a Service, IaaS), software platforms (Platform as a Service, PaaS) or applications/functionality (Software as a Service, SaaS) in a pay-as-you-go manner, comparable to the metered purchase of electricity, gas or water. Seen in the past primarily as a means for organizations to increase their flexibility, cloud computing has begun to enter the consumer space by offering solutions to personal computing needs that are based on virtualization e.g. cloud storage.  Accessing such cloud services with tablets and smartphones enables user and context aware cloud services resulting in a personal(ized) cloud. This personal cloud allows users to access data and services via their mobile devices which in turn allows time, location and device independent computing. More mobile users access to cloud-based services via wireless network recently, however connections between mobile device and cloud are unreliable as wireless network is unstable and dead spots won't completely disappear. On the other hand, mobile devices are growing rapidly with faster computing power and longer battery time. Code component migration between the mobile client and the cloud is proposed to guarantee service performance and make full use of client resources. First, enterprise task, resource and service are extracted and modeled for building task components. Then business processes are described by Markov chains and Markov decision processes are used for migration strategy. Next runtime environment is realized in browser with the help of HTML5. Finally, a case study is implemented and the result shows that this model is effective and useful in improving cloud service performance in the environment of varying connectivity properties. Blind and low-vision (BLV) individuals utilize systems called “Screen Readers” to navigate the World Wide Web. These systems retrieve the text information from the web pages accessed by a browser and convert this text to speech. However, typical screen readers process only one channel of audio and, therefore, convey the information from the web page in single-track, linearized format, stripping from it the two-dimensional spatial information available to sighted users of the same web page. There is an interest in presenting the sound from screen readers in multiple “virtual auditory columns,” aiming to restore the perception of two-dimensional placement of items on contemporary web pages. In this paper, we explore alternative methods to spatialize sound over five horizontal positions, in front of a computer user. An experimental comparison of two of these sound spatialization methods was statistically evaluated. The results indicate that there is not a statistically significant difference in accuracy achieved by application of the Vector-Based Amplitude Panning (VBAP) or the Linear Panning (LP) methods. Botnets are the engine for malicious activities in cyber space. In order to sustain their botnets and disguise their illegal actions, botnet owners are exhausting their strength to mimic legitimate cyber behavior to fly under the radar, e.g. flash crowd mimicking attacks on popular websites. It is an open and challenging problem: can we beat mimicking attacks or not? We use web browsing on popular websites as an example to explore the issue. In our previous work, we discovered that it is almost impossible to detect mimicking attacks from statistics if the number of active bots of a botnet is sufficient (no less than the number of active legitimate users). In this paper, we pointed out that it is usually hard for botnet owners to have sufficient number of active bots in practice. Therefore, we can discriminate mimicking attacks when the sufficient number condition is not met. We prove our claim theoretically and confirm it with simulations. Netflix is the leading provider of on-demand Internet video streaming in the US and Canada, accounting for 29.7% of the peak downstream traffic in US. Understanding the Netflix architecture and its performance can shed light on how to best optimize its design as well as on the design of similar on-demand streaming services. In this paper, we perform a measurement study of Netflix to uncover its architecture and service strategy. We find that Netflix employs a blend of data centers and Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) for content distribution. We also perform active measurements of the three CDNs employed by Netflix to quantify the video delivery bandwidth available to users across the US. Finally, as improvements to Netflix's current CDN assignment strategy, we propose a measurement-based adaptive CDN selection strategy and a multiple-CDN-based video delivery strategy, and demonstrate their potentials in significantly increasing user's average bandwidth. Traditional Web crawlers use one or more URLs of the initial Webpages to extract new URLs continuously, and then access data of the pages. AJAX, as one of the core technologies of Web2.0, greatly enhances the response efficiency of Web applications, brings good user experience, and therefore has been widely used. However, due to the use of AJAX techniques shatters the architecture of traditional Web pages which is based on static pages, the traditional Web crawlers cannot meet the challenges of dynamic partial refresh and asynchronous loading. In this paper, we propose an efficient approach for the information in dynamic pages by analyzing script language, and use path repository and judge the page refreshing state to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the algorithm. Web server log repositories are great source of knowledge, which keeps the record of web usage patterns of different web users. The Web usage pattern analysis is the process of identifying browsing patterns by analyzing the user's navigational behavior. The web server log files which store the information about the visitors of web sites is used as input for the web usage pattern analysis process. First these log files are preprocessed and converted into required formats so web usage mining techniques can apply on these web logs. In this paper, we propose, design and develop a prototype interactive TV Commercial (iTVC) for the Internet Connected TV using only web technologies instead of propriety APIs or Adobe Flash, which are the most common methods up to date. The main advantage of this method is that developers can use a technology that is, or will be in the near future, compatible with most, if not all, different connected TV platforms, as the adoption of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript is constantly gaining ground among Connected TV manufactures. Providing Internet users with good 3D representations used to be a hard task, not only for web graphic designers but also for web programmers. However, the rapid evolution of SmartPhones has drastically changed the industry. In this paper we attempt to evaluate server and client-side rendering procedures for web 3D animation delivery. Using Ajax and WebSockets, we have developed two discrete instances of a server-side rendering system. We have also implemented an X3Dom equivalent scenario that utilizes X3D and HTML5/WebGL technologies, to emulate client-side rendering on the same environment. An all-in-one instrumentation system design for immunochromatographic assay with Windows XP Embedded (XPE) Approach is presented in this paper. The proposed system can determine the concentration of target analyte within a few seconds, which can be used in a wide range of applications. This paper also presents a new image analysis algorithm to perform the unsupervised classification for the immunochromatographic assay with high-definition webcam. The overall development scheme is explained with real examples. The Windows XP Embedded approach makes it easier to get our system with up-to-date peripherals to market. That is crucial for short life-cycle peripherals on market. The overall development scheme can be applied to other Windows XP Embedded compatible system design as well. This paper identifies three inefficiencies in the workflow for design of heterogeneous systems: the lack of hardware independence, the need to split execution among different systems, and the lack of tools to unify the design and execution phases. As the window system are affected by the malicious code, the vulnerability on the system are more. The behavior based monitoring is used to avoid the polymorphic malicious code. Signature based detection system or fixing these vulnerabilities are not the efficient method. Thus the behavior based monitoring is used to avoid malicious code in window system. Some of them hook high level system APIs to detect the suspicious behavior of the code. Thus this cannot detect malicious code that directly invokes the native APIs. Thus a security scheme is used, that hooks native APIs in the kernel mode. It provides authentication of the system service caller in the kernel mode. So it prevents the malicious code calling native API directly. To provide extra authentication the dispatch ID is scrambled. For the scrambling to take place first the dispatch ID is distinguished as local ID and remote ID and then the filter is used to find the legitimate user. Next the scrambling is done with that legitimate user ID. The unscrambling is done to get the original dispatch ID only if it is a legitimate user. In order to assist the exploration of video archives, we developed ViewProcFlow, a tool to automatically extract metadata from video. This metadata is obtained by applying several state of the art video processing methods applied to a real world challenge: cut detection, face detection and object identification. In addition, we also developed a method to annotate videos with concepts from audio and visual information. The main novelty of this technique is the use of environmental sound recognition to annotate video. The goal is to supply the system with more information such that it has a better understanding of the content and also to enable better browse and search functionalities. It is even more difficult for novice learners to understand function calls including recursive ones. There are some programmers' tools such as debuggers that can potentially help learners. However, it is, in general, difficult for learners to familiarize such tools. Hospital emergency wards such as Gynaecology and obstetrics maternities are extremely complex to manage and pose serious health risks to patients. Related tasks which are mainly focused around patient management are basically achieved through a cooperative way that involves several health care professionals. Such team members with separate skills and roles should work together during patients' management. In this paper, we firstly discuss our study of work in-situ within an Algerian maternity ward to better understand the usual way under which tasks are effectively achieved and identify the artefacts used. Such observation allowed us to highlight vital collaborative medical tasks that need to be designed. Contemporary web browsers do not provide customized recommendations for the users; rather than some suggestions based on cookies or browsing history after content filtering. Usually, most of the users provide some key words to search the contents inside their preferred websites and based on these key words web servers provide the contents. So, it would be an interesting and important idea to provide suggestions or recommendations for the preferred websites based on the user's emotional behaviours and preferences. In this paper, we proposed an efficient recommendation system by means of an emotional web browsing agent which not only can take input from the environment accurately but also provides efficient recommendations of the ranked websites based on the training datasets and inputs. This paper describes the implementation of an AJAX(Asynchronous Javascript And XML) Crawler built in Java. With the advent of Web 2.0, AJAX is being used widely to enhance interactivity and user experience. Also standalone AJAX applications are also being developed. For example, Google Maps, Gmail and Yahoo! Mail are classic examples of AJAX applications. Current crawlers ignore AJAX content as well as dynamic content added through client side script. Cloud computing and cloud forensics are probably the two most popular and debated IT topics in recent years, implying relevant technological and economic opportunities, the former, and open issues such as the ability to perform digital investigations in the cloud, the latter. In cloud forensics, the distributed nature of data processing in the cloud and the lack of physical access to digital artifacts on the server side represent, indeed, a serious concern for investigators and stakeholders, as traditional approaches to evidence collection and recovery may be no longer applicable. In this paper we discuss technical aspects of digital forensics in cloud computing environments and present results of a case study about user-cloud interaction, aimed at assessing whether existing digital forensics techniques are still applicable to cloud investigations. The scripting languages (mostly Java Script) have been widely used in the network application, for the sake of improvement of the user experience. This makes Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks one of the most serious threats to Internet. A model checking method for the defense against cross-site scripting attacks is proposed in the paper. Bugs of the e-commercial website are found and counterexamples are showed by model checking. An operation behavior is judged if it conforms to requirements of the website for legal behavior, so as to prevent XSS attacks from the point of operation.
