Summary: The advancement in technology and the adoption of innovative developments have made our lives easier. Every industry, from agriculture to transport, has experienced this advancement. The entire transportation system is in the process of becoming intelligent. Smart mobility of autonomous vehicles is an important part of the upcoming smart cities. The autonomous vehicle provides functionalities for safety and convenience. It has been an emerging field with a lot of attention and still under advancement and requires a thorough study and solutions for potential challenges and opportunities. Despite impressive advantages, it has some security vulnerabilities which could lead to life‐threatening consequences. Though they could prevent road accidents by eliminating human errors from the driving process, they also create the possibility of cyber‐physical attacks on the vehicular controlling system. For this, many researchers have focused on the security attacks and defenses in autonomous vehicular systems. A 360‐degree research has been undertaken to understand the concept of autonomous vehicles entirely, such as history, social impacts, difficulties and challenges, current product developments, and security aspects. Also, a vehicular architecture is proposed by integrating various technologies such as 5G, SDN, cloud, and so forth, its possible security attacks are mentioned. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

With the unexpected onset of COVID-19, governments across the world responded with a range of preventive measures, including the imposition of lockdowns. To mitigate the adverse effects of lockdowns arising from supply chain shocks and employment loss, governments worldwide chose to implement policies to stimulate their economies and keep them working. This study assesses the impact and effectiveness of four of these packages in Bangladesh, employing a mixed-method approach. These packages include "salary support for workers in export-oriented RMG industries", "working capital loans for affected industries and service sectors", "working capital loans for cottage, micro, small, and medium enterprises", and initiatives for "revitalizing the rural economy and job creation". Each package was examined individually because of their differences in beneficiary groups, implementation methods, and individual objectives. Quantitative analysis involved propensity score matching (PSM), the difference in difference model (DID), and structural equation modelling (SEM). Stakeholders, including policy implementers, Bangladesh Bank officials, policy analysts, academics, workers, and beneficiaries, contributed to the qualitative analysis through extensive key-informant interviews, providing a comprehensive assessment of intervention outcomes. Ultimately, the results show that the packages achieved their socio-economic relief objectives for beneficiaries. The research examined both positive impacts and challenges in their implementation. It suggests that all four packages successfully achieved their goals, such as providing social and economic support, sustaining livelihoods, addressing marginalized groups' needs, ensuring survival for large industries and small businesses, and promoting employment. In order to better address future shocks, establishing a beneficiary database integrated with the national system is recommended for smoother policy rollout. Despite acknowledged limitations, including challenges in beneficiary identification, data availability, and time constraints, the study's unbiased estimations provide valuable insights to guide future policy directions in similar situations. Background and Aims: Skin aging is associated with dry skin and a decrease of the strength of the dermoepidermal adhesion, which increases the risk for lacerations (skin tears). Application of leave‐on products improves dry skin and seems to reduce skin tear incidence. The aim of this study was to measure the effects of a humectant containing leave‐on product on the strength of the dermoepidermal junction in older adult participants with dry skin. Methods: A randomized controlled trial using a split body design was conducted. One forearm was randomly selected and treated with a lipophilic leave‐on product containing 5% urea for 8 weeks. The other forearm was the control. The parameters stratum corneum hydration (SCH), transepidermal water loss, pH, roughness, epidermal thickness and skin stiffness were measured at the baseline, Weeks 4 and 8. At Week 8, suction blisters were created and time to blistering was measured. Blister roofs and interstitial fluid were analyzed for Interleukin‐1α, 6 and 8. Results: Twelve participants were included. After 8 weeks treatment, SCH was higher (median difference 11.6 AU), and the overall dry skin score (median difference −1) and median roughness (Rz difference −12.2 µm) were lower compared to the control arms. The median group difference for Interleukin‐1α was −452 fg/µg total protein (TP) in the blister roofs and −2.2 fg/µg TP in the blister fluids. The median time to blister formation was 7.7 min higher compared to the control arms. Conclusion: The regular application of humectant containing leave‐on products improves dry skin and seems to lower inflammation and contribute to the strengthening of the dermoepidermal adhesion.
