Aim of the study. To determine the effects of xenon exposure at a dose of 0.5 MAC of different duration on the content and enzyme-inactivating phosphorylation of the glycogen synthase kinase-3β (GSK3β) in the perifocal zone of ischemic cerebral infarction in an experimental setting.Materials and methods. The Long method was used for modelling brain ischemia/reperfusion in 39 rats weighing 300-350 g. Study group animals was exposed to xenon at a dose of 0.5 MAC during 30, 60 and 120 minutes whereas control group animals received an oxygen-air mixture. Sham-operated animals served as a comparison group. The levels of GSK3β and phospho-GSK3β in brain homogenates were determined by blotting using specific antibodies.Results. In ischemic stroke model, the content of GSK3β did not significantly change in control animals compared to comparison group. However, control group animals exhibited significant (2.7-fold, PP=0.9), however, 60 and 120 minutes of 0.5 MAC xenon exposures resulted in the increase in phosphorylated form of the enzyme by a factor of 2.1 (P=0.005) and 2.3 (P=0.001), respectively, compared to the control group.Conclusion. The results reveal a possible molecular mechanism (i. e., execution of neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory effects of xenon due to GSK-Зβ inactivation) and show the prospects for using 60 and 120 minutes of 0.5 MAC xenon exposures in ischemic brain damage after a stroke, traumatic brain injury and other brain lesions.

Purpose: to develop objective acoustic criteria of the condition of the optic nerve and its sheaths for an early diagnosis of intracranial hypertension (IH). Material and methods. The research involved 24 patients (average age 35.8 ± 8.5 years) with suspected IH. The control group consisted of 48 healthy subjects (average age 28.5 ± 9.5 years). Ultrasound examination of the retrobulbar part of the optic nerve (ON) included the measurement of the ON thickness with sheaths (ONSD) and without sheaths (OND) and the calculation of the ratio K = ONSD/ OND. Echodensitometry was used to evaluate the echographic density of the parenchyma and the sheaths of the optic nerve. All patients were tested with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to analyse brain images. Results. The biometrical parameters of ON in healthy subjects were as follows: ONS 2.64 ± 0.21 mm and ONSD — 4.60 ± 0.34 mm. In patients with suspected IH the average parameters of the ON diameter were as follows: ONS — 2.57 ± 0.25 mm and ONSD — 5.81 ± 0.42 mm. A comparative assessment of the ON thickness with and without sheaths showed that in the control group the values of ONS did not exceed 3.5 mm and ONSD did not exceed 5.0 mm. In patients with IH, the values of ONSD were significantly higher than those in the control group (p < 0.05). The ratio coefficient (K)=ONSD/ONS in the group of healthy subjects ranged from 1.53 to 2.0 and averaged 1.75 ± 0.14. In patients with IH the values of K exceeded 2.0 (2,40 ± 0.18). The analysis of acoustic density data showed a significant variability in the parameters of the ON sheaths echodensitometry in IH patients as compared to the norm. Conclusion. The echography of the ON makes it possible to determine the acoustic and biometric parameters of the ON with high accuracy, to assess its structure and relationship with the surrounding tissues. The ratio coefficient (K) of ONSD/ONS makes it possible to determine IH in the early stages of the disease, even in the absence of objective clinical criteria.

The article discusses the semantic features of mimic phraseological units of Italian and Spanish and their use to characterize communicative behavior. The classification of sign phraseological units of the Italian and Spanish languages according to functional and semantic criteria is given. The methods of linguistic expression of visual communication that reflect the inner sphere of a person in the Italian and Spanish language picture of the world are presented. For the first time, an attempt was made to conduct a comparative study of mimic phraseological units on the material of two closely related languages using a comparative method. The analysis showed that the mimic phraseological units found in Spanish and Italian have a large number of identical equivalents. In the settlements of the Don Armenians, founded in the last quarter of the 18th century by immigrants from the Crimea, many churches were built. By the beginning of the 20th century, more than ten stone churches were erected on the territory of the Armenian district. One of them is the Surb Gevorg church in the village of Sultan-Saly the architecture of which this study is devoted to. It was built in the 1860s in the “RussianByzantine” style, which stylistically distinguishes it from the rest of the temples of the Don Armenians, even those whose construction was chronologically close to that of Surb Gevorg. The temple is a unique example of the appeal of Armenian Gregorians to this style. The article presents the conclusion that the church was built according to the pattern projects of K. Thon designed in 1838. Based on archival written sources, drawings, photographic materials, and on-site observation, the author of the article studies the initial project, which remained unimplemented, the history of construction and architecture of the church of Surb Gevorg, and its place in religious construction of the Don Armenians and Russian architecture of the 19th century.

Abstract A study of a series of single-atom-alloy catalysts Pd1Ag3/Al2O3, Pd1Ag3/CeO2–Al2O3, and Pd1Ag3/CeO2–ZrO2 in the selective hydrogenation of diphenylacetylene (DPA) showed a significant (five-fold) increase in activity for the PdAg3/CeO2–ZrO2 sample in comparison with that of Pd1Ag3/Al2O3. It was especially noted that the increase in activity was not accompanied by a decrease in the selectivity for the target product. This catalytic behavior can be explained by two factors: (1) a more than twofold increase in the dispersity of the PdAg3/CeO2–ZrO2 catalyst and (2) a change in the electronic state of the nanoparticles, as determined from the results of an IR-spectroscopic study of adsorbed CO. The retention of the high selectivity of the synthesized catalysts indicated the stability of the structure of Pd1 monoatomic sites in the catalysts prepared by deposition on Ce-containing supports, which was also confirmed by the IR spectroscopy of adsorbed CO. The experimental results indicate that Ce-containing supports are promising for the synthesis of catalysts for the selective hydrogenation of substituted alkynes.

The impetus for the study of the personality of police officers and their professional qualities, as well as students in departmental educational organizations was the creation of a psychological service in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The process of studying the psychological characteristics of the professionogram of various departments of the Department of Internal Affairs is still relevant at the present time in conditions of rapidly changing social, political and economic conditions. The article examines the features of professional activity, the tasks facing the juvenile affairs units, as well as the personal qualities of PD employees who help them effectively perform the tasks assigned to them. With the help of a 16-factor Kettell questionnaire, psychological professionally important qualities that meet the requirements of the profession, their features and impact on professional activity were identified. A combination of general, special and individual qualities necessary for the successful performance of their functions, namely sociability, emotional stability, responsibility, rationality, practicality, conservativeness, willpower and concentration, the concepts of "social security", cohesion, preparedness, organization, etc. are studied in the complex of professionally important qualities of employees of juvenile affairs units. manageability and openness of the team.

The work is concerned with the effect of a spatially fluctuating heating of Al2O3 particles with diameters of 5–120 μm during a plasma spray process. A plasma jet is generated in a mixture of Ar (40 NLPM) and H2 (14 NLPM) and in pure Ar at an electric current of 600 A. The tracing of the injected particles in the plume region of the plasma jets is considered in the framework of a three-dimensional model taking into account a turbulent fluid flow. It is shown that the heat source for the injected particles exhibits a well pronounced spatially fluctuating structure due to the enhancement of the thermal conductivity resulting from dissociation and ionization of the molecular gas in the temperature range of 2500–4000 K and 13,000–14,000 K, respectively. During their travel towards the substrate, the particles are therefore repeatedly heated in the gas mixture in contrast to the case of pure argon. Particles injected in the gas mixture reach the substrate with a higher average temperature and velocity.

The article concerns the systemic problem of students’ social interactions in the context of digitalization of education and usage of virtual gamification technologies in pedagogical process. The authors conducted an interdisciplinary analysis of influence of the phenomena and conditions of virtual gamification on the “vertical” and “horizontal” processes of students’ social interactions, which determine constructive or destructive vectors of their socialization and professionalization in a digital society. The authors concluded that professional use of gamification pedagogical technologies can significantly reduce the social risks of digitalization of education and increase the level of safety of communicative and educational environment.
