Radon which occurs in uranium decay series is a noble gas and it moves from the deeper layers of the earth crust to the atmosphere. Formation of the radon gas in the Earth's crust and its migration to the atmosphere are quite a complex process due to the external factors like tectonic movements, meteorological factors etc. in this process, both the advection and diffusion are effective mechanisms for radon transport. But, the most effective mechanism is diffusion. in this study, radon diffusion of soils taken from Küçük Menderes Basin was investigated by controlled laboratory experiments and the radon diffusion coefficient of these soils was calculated. Soil gas radon measurements were performed by LR 115 Type 2 solid state nuclear track detectors.

Global positioning system and other outdoor positioning mechanisms are already subject to comprehensive research and development for almost half a century. Conversely, indoor positioning services became a hot topic in the last decade. Since GPS (and. other outdoor solutions) do not work reliably in most indoor environments, researchers and developers are working on accurate positioning solutions, especially tailored for indoor places. However; due to walls, furniture, people and other obstacles, absolute location estimation is very hard and expensive to achieve in indoor places. In addition, accuracy needs depend on the scenario and application. In this study, we have studied the feasibility of room-level location detection in home and office environments. We have focused on examining the quality of room-wise detection accuracy of the fingerprinting method that is applied along with standard Wi-Fi radio infrastructure. We have conducted experiments in a multi-storey office building made of concrete and aerated concrete bricks with many rooms, in which it is significantly hard to accurately estimate the correct place of a thing, using radio signals. To the best of our knowledge, our paper is the first study that investigates the room-level accuracy of Wi-Fi fingerprinting-based indoor localization systems. We have found out that, it is possible to feasibly achieve room-level detection with good accuracy, via a pre-calculated room-specific received signal strength indicator threshold value.

Drought is a natural and reversible feature of climate change and occurs almost in all climatic regimes, and its effects are not restrictedsimply to arid and semi-arid areas. Drought can also occur in areas with high precipitation in each season of year and cause considerabledamages to agricultural and industrial sectors and to cities. Located at subtropical region and having semi-arid climate, Lake Urmiabasin experiences drought frequently. Since some cultivations in this region are made in the form of rainfed farming, sudden decreasedrain will leave many damages.In the present study, drought of Lake Urmia basin was investigated according to the total monthly precipitation data obtained fromsynoptic stations in the area, using Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI) in four time scales (3, 6, 12, and 24 months). The results show that short-term scales response quickly to rainfall changes, while drought is continued more in long-term scales. That’s why drought frequencies in long-term series (scales) minimize. In addition, by comparing the time scales, it is found that a region may be in wet conditions in a time scale, while be in dry conditions in another time scale simultaneously. Kuraklık, iklim değişikliğinin doğal ve tersine çevrilebilir bir sonucudur ve tüm iklim rejimlerinde görülebilir, kuraklığın etkileri sadecekurak ve yarı kurak bölgelerle sınırlı değildir. Yılın her sezonunda yüksek yağış alan bölgelerde de oluşabilen kuraklık, tarım, sanayisektörlerine ve şehirlere önemli zararlara neden olmaktadır. Astropikal bir bölgede yer alan ve yarı kurak bir iklime sahip olan UrmiaGölü Havzası, sıklıkla kuraklıkla karşı karşıya kalmaktadır. Bu bölgelerde yağmurla beslenen sulu tarım yapıldığından yağışlardaki anidüşüşler pek çok zarara yol açar.Bu çalışmada Urmia Gölü Havzası’nda sinoptik istasyonlardan elde edilen aylık yağış verileri kullanılarak 4 farklı zaman aralığında(3, 6, 12 ve 24 ay) standart yağış indeksi ile kuraklık analizi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Kısa zaman aralıklarında SPI sonuçlarının yağışdeğişikliklerine daha hızlı cevap verdiği, uzun zaman aralıklarında ise kuraklığın devam ettiği sonuçlardan anlaşılmaktadır. Bu yüzdendir ki uzun zaman ölçeklerinde kuraklık frekans değerleri küçüktür. İlaveten zaman ölçekleri bazında karşılaştırdığında bir bölge aynı anda hem yağışlı hem de kurak olabilir.

The accumulation of heavy metals in the agricultural environments causes the oxidative stress in leading physiological and biochemical alterations in the plants. Regulation of fatty acids is considered as an adaptive mechanism for plants exposed to oxidative damages. In the present study, we investigated the changes of fatty acid composition with GC in the leaves of tomato subjected to increasing doses of heavy metals. The exposures of heavy metals changed the fatty acid compositions and ?-linoleic acid, palmitic acid and linoleic acid were the main fatty acids in respect to percentage, respectively. The percentages of arachidic acid, behenic acid, lignoceric acid and docosahexaenoic acid clearly increased in leaves of tomato. The level of linoleic acid and palmitoleic acid significantly reduced in all application of heavy metals compared to control plants. The content of stearic acid and oleic acid methyl ester changed depending on heavy metal types and doses while the quantity of ?-linolenic acid and palmitic acid remained unchanged by the treatment of Cu and Pb, but the application of Cd slightly increased the percentage of ?-linolenic acid in tomato leaves. The content of lipid peroxidation significantly increased in all exposures of heavy metal. The exposures of heavy metal increased the content of saturated fatty acid like arachidic acid, behenic acid and lignoceric acid, while heavy metals decreased linoleic acid and palmitoleic acid which belong to unsaturated fatty acid compared to control plants. These changes in the fatty acid percentages may be related to the increases of lipid peroxidation. Tarımsal alanlarda ağır metallerin birikimin bitkilerde fizyolojik ve biyokimyasal değişimlere yol açarak oksidatif strese neden olur. Oksidatif hasara maruz kalan bitkiler için yağ asitlerinin düzenlenmesi adaptasyon mekanizması olarak düşünülür. Mevcut çalışmada, artan dozda ağır metale maruz kalan domates bitkisi yapraklarında yağ asidi kompozisyonundaki değişimleri inceledik. Ağır metal uygulaması yağ asidi dağılımını değiştirdi ve ?-linoleik asit, palmitik asit ve linoleik asit yüzde dağılım bakımından sırasıyla temel yağ asitleridir. Araşidik asit, behenik asit, lignoserik asit ve docosaheksaenoik asit yüzdeleri domates yapraklarında açık şekilde artmıştır. Kontrol bitkilerine kıyasla linoleik asit ve palmitoleik asit seviyeleri ağır metal uygulamasında önemli derecede azalmıştır. Stearik asit ve oleik asit metil ester içeriği uygulanan ağır metal tip ve dozuna bağlı olarak değişirken, ?-linolenik asit ve palmitik asit miktarı Cu ve Pb uygulamasında değişmemiştir. Fakat Cd uygulaması domates yapraklarında ?-linolenik asit yüzdesini hafif şekilde artırmıştır. Lipid peroksidasyon içeriği tüm ağır metal maruziyetlerinde önemli şekilde artmıştır. Kontrol grubuyla karşılaştırıldığında, ağır metaller araşidik asit, behenik asit ve lignoserik asit gibi doymuş yağ asidi içeriğini artırırken, doymamış yağ asitlerinden olan linoleik asit ve palmitoleik asit azalmıştır. Yağ asidi yüzdelerindeki bu değişimler lipid peroksidasyonundaki artışla ilişkili olabilir.

Elektrik güç sistemlerinde ve tesislerinde enerjinin kalitesini belirlemede temel unsurlardan birideharmoniklerdir. Olumsuz etkilere neden olan bu harmoniklerin etkilerin yok edilmesi gerekmektedir. Elektriktesislerinde veya işletmelerinde harmoniklerin etkilerini sonlandırmak veya sınırlamak amacıyla pasif güçfiltreleri yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada tesis olarak önemli bir kurum olan hastane birimi elealınmıştır. Yapılan harmonik analizi sonucu, tesis bilgisayar ortamına taşınarak MATLAB/Simulink’demodellenmiştir. Benzetim çalışması sonucu pasif filtre tasarlanarak bozucu etkiler elimine edilmiştir.Tasarımlardan elde edilen sonuçların analizi incelendiğinde; elde edilen sonuçlar Elektrik ve ElektronikMühendisleri Enstitüsü (IEEE) harmonik limitleri içerisinde olduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Harmonics in determining the quality of energy in electrical power systems and installations are important.These harmonics which cause adverse effects must be eliminated. Passive power filters are widely used toeliminate or limit the effects of harmonics in electrical installations or operations. In this study, the hospitalfacility which is an important institution was taken up. As a result of the harmonic analysis, the plant is modeledin MATLAB / Simulink by moving to the computer environment. As a result of simulation, a passive filter wasdesigned and the destructive effects were eliminated. When the analysis results obtained from the designs areexamined, it is observed that the harmonic limits are within the The Institute of Electrical and ElectronicsEngineers (IEEE) standards.

In the present study, biosorption behaviours of novel biosorbent, Narcissus Tazetta L. leaf powder, were investigated for the separation of Eu(III) from aqueous solution. Batch experiments were conducted to examine the effect of various parameters such as contact time, initial pH, initial Eu(III) concentration, biosorbent dosage and temperature on the Eu(III) uptake. the biosorption process is fast, and equilibrium was established in 30 min. of contact time. It was found that the material has a significant biosorption capacity for europium in the pH range of 4-7. the results showed that the biosorption data fit Langmuir monolayer isotherm and pseudosecond order kinetic model well. Biosorption capacity of leaf powder was obtained as 122.0 mg g1 according to the Langmuir isotherm at pH 7. Thermodynamic analysis indicates that the biosorption was spontaneous and endothermic in nature. Desorption efficiency(%) of 97.17 was achieved in single step using 0.1 mol L-1 HNO3 solution. Surface area of the biosorbent and the average pore size were determined as 1.725 mg g-1 and 1.75 nm, respectively. the critical functional groups -CH, C-O, O-H, C=O and COO- which may have taken part for the biosorption were identified by infrared spectra data. It was deduced that N. Tazetta leaf powder can be used as an effective, costless, and eco-friendly biosorbent for the separation and recovery of Eu(III) from aqueous solution., Bu çalışmada, yeni bir biyosorbent olan Narcissus Tazetta L. yaprak tozunun sulu çözeltilerden Eu(III) iyonlarının ayrılmasında biyosorpsiyon davranışları incelenmiştir. Eu(III) alımında temas süresi, başlangıç pH’sı, başlangıç Eu(III) derişimi, biyosorbent dozajı ve sıcaklık gibi çeşitli parametrelerin etkisini incelemek için kesikli denemeler yürütülmüştür. Biyosorpsiyon prosesi hızlıdır ve 30 dakikalık temas süresi sonunda dengeye ulaşılmıştır. pH 4-7 aralığında materyalin Eu(III) için önemli bir biyosorpsiyon kapasitesine sahip olduğu bulunmuştur. Biyosorpsiyon verisi Langmuir tek tabaka izotermi ve yalancı ikinci derece kinetik model ile uyum göstermiştir. Yaprak tozunun biyosorpsiyon kapasitesi Langmuir izotermine göre pH 7’de 122.0 mg g-1 olarak bulunmuştur. Termodinamik analiz biyosorpsiyonun kendiliğinden gerçekleştiğini ve endotermik yapıda olduğunu göstermiştir. 0.1 mol L-1 HNO3 çözeltisi ile tek kademede %97.17’lik desorpsiyon verimine ulaşılmıştır. Biyosorbentin yüzey alanı ve ortalama por çapı sırasıyla 1.725 mg g-1 ve 1.75 nm olarak tespit edilmiştir. Biyosorpsiyonda rol almış olabilen -CH, C-O, O-H, C=O ve COO- gibi kritik fonksiyonel gruplar kızıl ötesi spektroskopisi ile aydınlatılmıştır. Sulu çözeltilerden Eu(III) ayrılması ve kazanılmasında N. Tazetta yaprak tozunun etkili, maliyetsiz ve çevre dostu bir biyosorbent olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.

Edge detection is an important step in image processing. As edge is intensity variation with spatial coordinates, the similarities between neighboring pixels could be used for edge detection. It has been observed that the effective results could be attained by thresholding the homogeneity images generated by means of the similarity transformation. Nevertheless, the user-defined normalization coefficient in similarity transform stage seriously effects edge detection performance and it needs to be automatically selected for every particular image. In this study, a new approach in which the normalization coefficient is automatically determined has been presented. The automating process of the similarity transform has been performed according to the gray level values of the neighboring pixels. The gray level differences of the central pixel and other neighboring pixels have been used to determine the similarity coefficient. Subsequently, the binarization process of the homogeneity images obtained with proposed algorithm have been completed with different thresholding techniques. Additionally, the F-score of the proposed edge detection has been obtained with 200 images in the BSDS training dataset. The achieved F-score values have showed that the performance of automatic approach is quite high.

We know that Bonnet surfaces are the surfaces which can admit at least one non-trivial isometry that preserves the principal curvatures in the Euclidean three-dimensional space. In this study, firstly, we have examined the required conditions for the canal surfaces, which are called the special swept surfaces, to be Bonnet surfaces. After that, we have defined the Bonnet canal surfaces in the Euclidean three-dimensional space and have obtained some special results for the Bonnet canal surfaces. We have studied the Bonnet canal surfaces, which will be formed, when the curve generating the canal surface is a special curve. In addition, we have given an example of the Bonnet canal surface by considering the conditions. Bonnet yüzeylerin, Öklidyen üç boyutlu uzayda asli eğrilikleri koruyan en az bir ihmal edilebilir izometriyi kabul edebilen yüzeyler olduğunu biliyoruz. Bu çalışmada, öncelikle, özel bir süpürme yüzeyi olarak adlandırılan kanal yüzeylerin Bonnet yüzey olması için gereken koşulları inceledik. Sonrasında, Öklidyen üç boyutlu uzayında, Bonnet kanal yüzeylerini tanımladık ve Bonnet kanal yüzeyler için bazı özel sonuçlar elde ettik. Kanal yüzeyi oluşturan eğri özel bir eğri olduğunda oluşacak olan Bonnet kanal yüzeyleri inceledik. Ek olarak, şartları göz önüne alarak Bonnet kanal yüzeyin örneğini verdik.

Biogas is one the promising sustainable energy options due to high availability of organic wastes. Turkey is an energy importer country and diversification of the energy production with indigenous resources is vital for energy security. In Turkey, agricultural activities and livestock farming have important economic value. Biogas production from anaerobic digestion of organic wastes such as livestock manure is of great importance for renewable energy production and waste management for health and environmental protection. In this study, the animal manure based biogas potential, energy value, greenhouse gas emission reduction potential and organic fertilizer generation capacity of the Aegean Region of Turkey were determined. The region is composed of eight provinces including Afyonkarahisar, Aydın, Denizli, İzmir, Manisa, Muğla, Kütahya, and Uşak. The results revealed that Aegean Region has 528 million m3/year biogas potential corresponding to 2.64 TWh energy generation capacity. In addition, 0.6 million ton/year of organic fertilizer can be produced as the residual of the biogas plants. Utilization of animal wastes in biogas generation plants can contribute to the global climate change combat by reducing CO2 emissions about 4.6 million tons/year. Within the Aegean Region, Manisa has shown the highest biogas potential whereas İzmir has the highest amount of organic fertilizer production potential.

İzmir Çevresinde alüvyon ve mermerler yeraltısuyu (YAS) sağlama açısından en önemli akiferlerdir. Alüvyon ve karstik birimlerden su sağlayan kuyuların koruma alanlarının belirlenmesi çevresel kirleticilerden korunması açısından önem arz etmektedir. İzmir Menderes Ovasında karstik birimlerle bağlantılı olan alüvyon akiferde açılan su kuyularının koruma alanlarının belirlenmesinde, farklı çekim değerlerinin etkileri parçacık taşınımı ile değerlendirilmiştir. Bunun için akiferle irtibatlı olan karstik birime bir kirletici tanımlanmış ve alüvyon akiferden su sağlayan kuyulara varış zamanları elde edilmiştir. Yapılan değerlendirmede, parçacığın hızının yeraltısuyu hidrodinamiğine bağlı olarak etkilendiği, bu hızın özellikle çekim debileri ile denetlediği belirlenmiştir. Alüvyon akiferde açılan sayısız sulama su kuyusu çekime başladığında kirleticiler daha hızlı kuyulara doğru ilerlemektedir. Özellikle kirleticilerin bulunduğu akiferlerde içme suyu kuyusu olarak açılan kuyuların koruma alanlarının belirlenmesi ve korumaya alınması önem taşımaktadır. Bunlara ek olarak, kuyu çekim değerlerinin yeraltısuyu akım hızını denetlemesi nedeniyle belli alanlarda kümelenmiş kuyuların koruma alanlarının belirlenmesinde modelleme yaklaşımı ile belirlenmesinde yarar bulunmaktadır., Alluvium and marble are the most important aquifers in term of groundwater supply in Izmir Region. Determinetion of the wells protection zone providing groundwater in alluvium and karstic aquifer is very important for the protection from the environmental pollutants. The assessment of protection zone of the groundwater wells drilled in alluvial aquifer connected on marble aquifer was evaluated under differend dicharge value by particle tracking. For this reason, a pollutant was defined on karstic unit that is connected to the alluvial aquifer and the groundwater arrival time was estimated to the providing water wells. It is observed that the velocity of the particle is influenced by the hydrodynamics of groundwater, especially by the discharge rate of wells. When a large namber of irrifation wells stard the dicharge from the aquifer, pollutant is moving towards the wells faster. It is vey important that the protection from the pollutants and the determination of protecton zone of drinking water wells and the protection from the pollutants. In addition, it is useful that the determination of clustered wells protection zone is need to groundwater modelling because of the well discharge values controls the groundwater flow rate.

Günümüzdeki modern dünyada hidrolik; gün geçtikçe birçok alanda insanların yaşantısında çok önemli pay sahibiolmaktadır. Hidrolikte enerjiyi sağlayan temel unsur akışkandır ve akışkana yön veren ekipmanlar valfler olarakadlandırılır. Valflerin genel olarak doğrudan el ile ya da elektriksel sinyal vasıtasıyla kumanda edilmesi, hareketlihidrolik sistemin karakteristik bir özeliğidir. Bir hidrolik sistemde en önemli tek malzeme kendi kendine çalışanhidrolik akışkandır. Hidrolik yağın karakteristik özellikleri, ekipmanların performans ve ömürleri üzerinde büyükbir etkiye sahiptir. Dolayısıyla yüksek kalitede temiz bir akışkan kullanarak etkili bir hidrolik sistemoluşturulabilir. Ayrıca hidrolik sistemlerde bulunan sıvı akışkan, iş elemanı olarak silindirler içerisinde ne kadarlıkbir güç üreteceğini de belirler. Diğer taraftan bir hidrolik akışkan; gücün iletimi, hareket elemanlarının yağlanması,eş parçalar arasında conta görevi ve sistemde ısı dağılımı gibi amaçlar için de kullanılır. Bu çalışmada, doğadarahatça bulunabilen bitki ve bitki tohumları kullanılarak üretilen hidrolik akışkanın, viskozite indeksi 22 olannormal hidrolik yağ ile karşılaştırılması sunulmuştur. Karşılaştırmalar farklı elektro-hidrolik devrelerle yapılmışve yüke karşı yürütülen deneylerle hidrolik devre elemanlarının sıcaklıkları incelenmiştir. In today's modern world hydraulics have a very important share in the lives of people in many areas day by day.The basic element that provides energy in hydraulics is the flow and the equipment that directs the flow is calledthe valves. The control of the valves, generally directly or by means of an electrical signal, is a characteristicfeature of the moving hydraulic system. The most important single material in a hydraulic system is the self-running hydraulic fluid. The characteristics of the hydraulic oil have a great influence on the performance andlifetime of the equipment. Therefore, an efficient hydraulic system can be created by using a clean fluid at highquality. In addition, the liquid fluid in the hydraulic systems also determines how much power is generated in thecylinders as a workpiece. On the other hand, a hydraulic fluid is also used for some purposes such as powertransmission, lubrication of moving elements, sealing between co-parts and heat distribution in the system. In this study, a comparison of the hydraulic fluid produced by using plant and plant seeds, which can be found easily innature with the normal hydraulic oil with viscosity index of 22 was presented. The comparisons were made withdifferent electro-hydraulic circuits and the temperatures of the hydraulic circuit elements were investigated byexperiments against load.

Kent yaşamında konut seçimi önemli konulardan biridir. Konut, kentteki hareketliliği ve dolayısıyla kentin sosyo-kültürel ve ekonomik dağılımını yönlendirme gücüne sahip bir olgudur. Bu olgu kimi zaman kültürel yapınınbeklentisi, kimi zaman yapıya uygun konut nitelikleri, kimi zamansa konuta uygun kültürel dağılım ilişkisinigündeme getirmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’de konut seçiminde etkili olan faktörlerin belirlenmesineyönelik bir ölçek geliştirmektir. Çalışma, Türkiye’nin başkenti Ankara’nın Dikmen vadisi çevresinde yer alan bazımahallelerde yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada verilerin toplanması amacıyla anket çalışması yapılmıştır. Anket formu,konut seçiminde etkili olan değişkenler (52 değişken), katılımcıların demografik özellikleri (11 soru) ve konutailişkin özellikler (9 soru) olmak üzere üç bölüm ve toplam 21 sorudan oluşturulmuştur. Anket çalışması %95 güvendüzeyi ve %5 hata payı göz önünde bulundurularak; temsil yeteneğini de artırmak amacıyla 415 kişiye rasgele veyüz yüze görüşme tekniği ile yürütülmüştür. Veri analizleri SPSS22 istatistik paket programı aracılığı ile geçerlilik,güvenirlik analizleri ve açımlayıcı faktör analizi (AFA) temelinde değerlendirilmiştir. Analiz sonuçlarına göre;konut seçimini etkileyen faktörler (KSEF)özdeğerleri1’den büyük olan 4 faktör ve bu faktörlerin altında yer alan20 değişkenle tanımlanmıştır. Bu faktörler Rekreasyonel Ulaşılabilirlik ve Yeşil Alanlar (RUYA), Konut AlanınınÇevre Kalitesi (KAÇK), Konutun Ekonomik Değeri (KED) ve Konutun Yapısal Özellikleri (KYO) isimleri ileadlandırılmıştır. Açımlayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda faktör yük değerlerinin 0.652 ve 0.967 arasında değiştiği,toplam varyansın da %68,499’unu açıkladığı belirlenmiştir. Konut seçimini etkileyen faktörlerin belirlenmesineyönelik yapılan bu ölçek geliştirme çalışmasının Türkiye’nin farklı bölgelerinde yapılacak araştırmalardakullanılabilecek geçerlilik ve güvenilirlik değerlerine sahip bir ölçme aracı olduğu söylenebilir. Housing choice in urban life is one of the important issues. Housing is a force that has the power to direct themobility of the city and therefore the socio-cultural and economic distribution of the city. Sometimes this phenomenon brings about the anticipation of cultural construction, sometimes the characteristics of suitablehousing for the building, and the relationship of cultural distribution suitable for the housing at some time. Theaim of this study was to develop a scale for determining the factors affecting the choice of housing in Turkey.Work in the vicinity of Turkey's capital Ankara's Dikmen valley was carried out in some neighborhoods. In thestudy, a survey was conducted to collect data. The questionnaire was composed of 21 questions in three sections,which are the variables (52 variables), the demographic characteristics of the participants (11 questions) and theproperties related to the residence (9 questions). Considering the 95% confidence level and the 5% error margin;it was conducted with random and face-to-face interview technique to 415 people in order to increase therepresentation. Data analyzes were evaluated on the basis of validity, reliability analyzes and explanatory factoranalysis (EFA) through the SPSS 22 statistical package program. According to the analysis results; Factorsaffecting housing choice (KSEF) are defined by 4 factors with eigenvalues greater than 1 and 20 variables underthese factors. These factors are named with Recreational Accessibility and Green Areas (RUYA), EnvironmentalQuality of Housing Area (KAÇK), Economic Value of Housing (KED) and Housing Structural Properties (KYO).As a result of the exploratory factor analysis, it was determined that the factor load values changed between 0.652and 0.967 and the total variance explained 68.499%. Housing choice to determine the factors affecting the validityof this scale can be used in research of the development work to be done in different regions of Turkey and said tobe a tool with reliability values.

Printing with natural inks to the paper essential for various area like wrapping paper for foodstuff, paper cups etc. Therefore, the development of stable and commercial natural ink is gaining importance. The production methods and the surfaces chemicals (coating materials, fluorochemicals, sizing materials etc.) of the paper affect the color of the natural inks, which applied paper surface. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of natural inks on various paper types. Ink samples are cyan, magenta, yellow, black colors prepared to have the closest color properties to the commercial inkjet printing inks in the market. Yellow Curcuma longa extract, red Rosa canina extract, cyan Indigofera tinctoria extract, black Alkanna tinctora extract selected to prepare natural ink. The differences between the commercial ink and the natural ink applied paper samples CIE L* a* b* color values were evaluated. The application made with a commercial inkjet printer. Then strength properties of paper samples evaluated and compared. According to results, bleached white chemical paper color results were closest to commercial ink

In this paper, we have proved some coupled coincidence and coupled common fixed point theorems for two mappings defined on the ordered uniform spaces by using the order relation on uniform spaces presented by Altun and Imdad (2009). Bu çalışmada, Altun and Imdad (2009) tarafından düzgün uzaylar üzerinde verilmiş olan sıralama bağıntısını kullanarak sıralı düzgün uzaylar üzerindeki iki dönüşüm için bazı ikili çakışık ve ikili ortak sabit nokta teoremleri ispat edilmiştir.

In this study we consider a third order linear differential equation with variable coefficients characterizing spherical curves according to Frenet frame in Euclidean 4-Space . This equation whose coefficients are related to special function, curvature and torsion, is satisfied by the position vector of any regular unit velocity spherical curve. These type equations are generally impossible to solve analytically and so, for approximate solution we present a numerical method based on Taylor polynomials and collocations points by using initial conditions. Our method reduces the solution of problem to the solution of a system of algebraic equations and the approximate solution is obtained in terms of Taylor polynomials.

Düşük güçlü doğrudan tahrikli rüzgar türbinlerinde genelde sürekli mıknatıslı senkron makineler tercih edilmektedir. Bu sürekli mıknatıslı makinelerde; geleneksel makine topolojilerinin dışında (eksenel ve radyal akılı), özel makine modelleri de literatürde önerilmiştir. Bunlardan biri de enine akılı makinedir. Yapısal özelliğinden dolayı enine akılı makinelerde, elektriksel yükleme ve manyetik yükleme doğrudan birbiri ile ilişkili değildir. Bu topolojide, kutup sayısı ve manyetik yükleme kolaylıkla arttırılabilir. Bu nedenle robot kolları, elektrikli araçlar ve rüzgâr türbinleri gibi yüksek moment- düşük hız uygulamalarında öne çıkmaktadırlar. Bu çalışmada, yeni bir üç fazlı enine akılı disk generatör modeli tanıtılmıştır. Modelin çalışma prensibi ve elektriksel devre modeli açıklanmıştır. Sonlu elemanlar yöntemi kullanılarak, önerilen generatör modelinin rotor iç çapına göre zıt-emk değişimi elde edilmiştir. Bir diğer tasarım parametresi olarak vuruntu momenti de incelenmiştir. Enine akılı makinelerin genel sakıncalarından olan yüksek vuruntu momenti, mıknatıs kaykı yöntemi kullanarak 6 Nm’den 0,38 Nm’ ye düşürülmüştür. Permanent magnet synchronous machines are more preferred in low-power direct-driven wind turbines. In addition to conventional machine topologies with axial and radial flux, special machine models have also been proposed in the literature such as transverse flux machine (TFM). In TFM's, due to their structural properties, electrical loading and magnetic loading are not directly related. The number of poles and magnetic loads can be easily increased. For this reason, TFM's stand out in high torque-low speed applications such as robot arms, electric vehicles, and wind turbines. In this study, a new three-phase transverse flux disc generator model is introduced. The operation principle and the electrical circuit model are explained. The back-emf waveform is obtained according to the rotor inner diameter of the proposed generator model using the Finite Element Method. The cogging torque is also studied as another design parameter. The high cogging torque, which is one of the general drawbacks of TFM's, has been reduced from 6 Nm to 0.38 Nm by using magnet skew method.

Robust parameter design is an effective tool to determine the optimal operating conditions of a system. Because of its practicability and usefulness, the widespread applications of robust design techniques provide major quality improvements. The usual assumptions of robust parameter design are that normally distributed experimental data and no contamination due to outliers. Optimizing an objective function under the normality assumption for a skewed data in dual-response modeling may result in misleading fit and operating conditions located far from the optimal values. This creates a chain of degradation in the production phase, e.g., poor quality products. This paper focuses on skewed experimental data. The proposed approach is constructed on the confidence interval of the process mean which makes the system median unbiased for the mean using the skewness information of the data. The response modeling of the midpoint of the interval is proposed as a location performance response. The main advantages of the proposed approach are that it gives a robust solution due to the skewed structure of the experimental data distribution and does not need any transformation which causes any loss of information in estimation of the mean response. The procedure and the validity of the proposed approach are illustrated on a popular example, the printing process study

Constant-impedance, constant-current and constant-power ZIP models of electrical loads are commonly used in smart grid and residential load applications. Some of residential loads are of nonlinear nature such as LCD monitors and computers. In this study, first, equivalent ZIP model formulas of parallel-connected electrical loads are derived. Then, the ZIP models of an LCD monitor, a computer case and the computer case and the monitor connected in parallel have been obtained using experimental data and least-squares curve fitting method. Finally, the equivalent ZIP model formulas are tested with the experimental data. It has been found that for the rectifier nonlinear loads with different ZIP parameters, the formulas do not give acceptable errors. Therefore, for rectifier nonlinear loads, the measurement-based approach for load modeling must be performed.

En çok araştırılanalanlardan biri, birçok uygulamanın temelini oluşturan sualtı algılayıcı ağlarınkapsama alanıdır. Kapsama alanı genellikle bir ağın algılayıcı tarafından nekadar etkin izlendiği ile ilgilidir. Su kirliliği başta olmak üzere, okyanusveya deniz bölgesinde ortaya çıkan başlıca problemler vardır. Sualtı kirliliğigenel olarak asitleşmeye, plastik kalıntılara ve toksinlere sebep olmaktadır. Günümüzdebu kirliliğin belirlenmesi, insan gözetimli izleme süreci ile gerçekleştirilmektedir.Bu sebeple, kirliliğin oluşumunu tanımlamak için otomatik ve akıllı izlemesistemine ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Önerdiğimiz benzetim modeli, su altındakikirliliğin oluşumunu tanımlayan ve alarm veren akıllı algılayıcı tabanlı izlemesistemini tanımlamaktadır. Benzetim modelini tasarladığımız sistemin, maliyetaçısından verimli olması için ortam erişim protokolü olarak Aloha seçilmiştir. Sisteminverimliliği benzetim modeli ile test edilerek mevcut insan gözetimi içerenizleme sürecinden daha kararlı, düşük maliyetli ve yönetilebilir olduğugösterilmiştir. Gecikme değeri0,14ms ile 0,16ms arasına yakın değerlerde değişirken, en düşük gecikme 0,15msolarak benzetim süresinin ortalarında elde edilmektedir., Underwater sensornetworks; it is a rapidly developing area of ​​research with a wide range ofapplications such as data collection in ocean, pollution monitoring and oceansampling. One of the most researched areas is the coverage of underwater sensornetworks, which are the basis of many applications. The coverage is usuallyrelated to how effectively a network is monitored by the sensor. There aremajor problems in the ocean or marine region, especially in water pollution.Underwater pollution generally causes acidification, plastic residues andtoxins. Today, the determination of this pollution is carried out through ahuman surveillance monitoring process. Therefore, there is a need for anautomatic and intelligent monitoring system to identify the formation ofpollution. The proposed simulation model defines the intelligent sensor-basedmonitoring system that identifies and alarms the formation of underwaterpollution. Aloha was chosen as the medium access protocol for thecost-effective system in which we designed the simulation model. The efficiencyof the system has been shown to be more stable, cost-effective and manageablethan the monitoring process involving the existing human surveillance bytesting with the simulation model. When the sensor network load increases from0 to 6, the highest performance ratio is obtained as 0.36 when the network loadis 1. The delay value changes between 0.14 ms and 0.16 ms, while the lowestdelay is acquired as 0.15 ms in the middle of simulation duration.

Futbol maçlarında hakemlerin verebileceği kararlara yardımcı olması amacıyla, otonom sistemlere olan ihtiyaç gün geçtikçe artmaktadır. Bu ihtiyacın ana sebebi hakemlerin önemli maçlarda sonuca etki edebilecek kritik hatalar yapabilmelerinden kaynaklanmaktadır. Bundan dolayı, birçok ülkede futbol maçlarında hakemlerin yanı sıra bilgisayarlı görü sistemine dayalı çalışan yardımcı hakem sistemleri de devreye girmiştir. Bu sistemler ile hakem hataları azaltılarak daha adil bir rekabet ortamı sağlanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada futbol maçlarında gol olayının tespiti için bir bilgisayarlı görü sistemi(GolKaSis) tasarlanmıştır. GolKaSis’te öncelikle, tasarlanan futbol sahası prototipinde uygun bir bölgeye yerleştirilen kameradan alınan videolardan topun kale tam olarak çizgisini geçtiği ve geçmediği pozitif ve negatif görüntüler kullanılarak bir veriseti oluşturulmuştur. Bu görüntülerden pozitif olanlar gol olayını gösterenlerden, negatif olanlar ise gol olayının meydana gelmediği video görüntülerinden oluşmaktadır. Geliştirilen bilgisayarlı görü sisteminde gerçek zamanlı alınan video görüntüleri ile pozitif görüntülerin eşleştirilmesi Haar Kaskad Sınıflandırıcı ile gerçekleştirilerek gol olayı tespit edilmektedir. Tasarlanan prototip üzerinde yapılan test işlemlerinde önerilen bilgisayarlı görü sisteminin gol olayını tespit etmede %91 başarım gösterdiği görülmüştür.

In the recent year, with the development of technology the acceleration of the manufacturing of new products has increased the use of raw materials in the industry. In addition to decreasing underground resources, increased environmental pollution has opened the way for the use of natural materials in the industry. Also, the reuse of materials, which were recycled by recovery methods, is both conservation and economical method in terms of raw material deficiency. In this study, mechanical properties of sandwich composites made of natural and recycled material were investigated. In this context, core material with different thicknesses (4 mm, 8 mm and 12 mm) were produced using different size granules (1 mm, 2 mm and 4 mm), which were recycled from the used vehicle tire. Sandwich composite materials have become final with the combination of core materials with natural jute fabric reinforced laminated composites. In order to test the usability of the produced sandwich composite materials as building material, the mechanical behaviours of the sandwich composite were investigated under tension and compression load. Test results show that mechanical behaviour of the material varies according to the granular size, thickness of the core material, and fiber orientation of reinforcement fabric.

Quantities of pouches filled with marine debris and packaging (kg) collected during coast andbeach cleaning, the amount of waste (m3) collected during sea surface cleaning and moss work (kg), andthe amount of sludge removed during stream rehabilitation (m3) were analyzed in Istanbul, Turkeybetween 2013 and 2016. Seasonal changes have been identified in these quantities. The quantity ofpackaging pouches collected during coastal cleaning had increased over time, reached its highest level in2016. High values were observed in September due to heavy rainfall and in the summer due to wastetransported from picnic areas. However, low values were seen for all parameters in winter. This increasein waste quantities can be eliminated by taking various precautions such as recycling or reusing plasticbags and bottles instead of throwing waste away. For a cleaner sea and coast, public education can bedeveloped to encourage these precautions. In addition, economic measures can be taken such as sellingplastic shopping bags instead of giving them free of charge. İstanbul’da 2013 ve 2016 yılları arasında kıyı ve plaj temizliğinde toplanan deniz ve ambalaj atıklarının poşet sayısı, deniz yüzeyi temizliği ile toplanan atık miktarı (m³), yosun çalışması ile toplanan atık miktarı (kg) ve dere ıslahı ile çıkarılan çamur miktarı (m³) verileri analiz edilmiştir. Bu miktarlarda mevsimsel değişiklikler tespit edilmiştir. Kıyı temizliği sırasında toplanan ambalaj poşetlerinin miktarının zamanla aşırı yükseldiği ve 2016'da en yüksek seviyesine ulaştığı görülmüştür. Piknik alanlarından taşınan atıklardan dolayı yaz aylarında ve yoğun yağışla sürüklenmeden dolayı eylül ayında yüksek değerler gözlenmiştir. Ancak kış mevsiminde tüm parametreler için düşük değerler görüldü. Atık miktarlarındaki bu artış, atıkların atılması yerine plastik torbaların ve şişelerin geri dönüştürülmesi veya yeniden kullanılması gibi çeşitli önlemler alınarak giderilebilir. Daha temiz bir deniz ve sahil için, bu önlemleri teşvik etmek amacıyla kamu eğitimi geliştirilebilir. Ayrıca, plastik poşetler alışverişlerde ücretsiz verilmek yerine satılması gibi ekonomik tedbirler alınabilir.

Kişisel mahremiyetin korunmasına yönelik olan bu kanuna göre, kişisel verinin kullanımı kişinin onamına bağlıdır. Bu çalışmanın hedefi, kişisel onam yönetimini gerçekleştirmek için bir onam ontolojisi geliştirilmesidir. Bu amaçla, KVKK incelenmekte ve TF-IDF metin madenciliği metodu kullanılarak onam yönetimi sürecinde olabilecek terimler çıkartılmaktadır. Çıkartılan bu terimlerden ontoloji sınıfları ve ilişkileri belirlenmekte, ve geliştirilen onam ontolojisi sunulmaktadır., Governments use control mechanisms such as enactment of laws in order to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of its citizens. the Law on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) No. 6698 was adopted on 24 March 2016 in Turkey in order to protect personal data that is one of the fundamental rights and freedoms. According to this law that is intended for the protection of personal privacy, the use of personal data depends on the consent of the individual. the aim of this study is to develop a consent ontology in order to perform the personal consent management. For this purpose, KVKK is examined and terms that may be encountered during the consent management process are extracted by using TF-IDF text mining method. Ontology classes and relationships are determined from these extracted terms, and the developed consent ontology is presented.

Yapılan bu çalışmada Bernoulli prensibi ile çalışan tutucular ve uygulama alanları hakkında geniş kapsamlı biraraştırma yapılmıştır. Otomatik üretim süreçlerinde tutma aparatları ve yöntemleri bir çok ürünün taşınmasındaönemli bir rol oynamaktadır. Göreceli olarak esnek ürünlerin temassız kaldırılıp taşınması için otomasyonuygulamaları, uygun tutucu eksikliğinden dolayı, sınırlıdır. Bu tür esnek malzemeler, esnekliğinin yanındagenellikle, narin, gözenekli ve üzerlerinde kolaylıkla iz kalabildiğinden dolayı robot tutucuların çoğununkullanılması mümkün değildir. Bu çalışmada değişken boyut, şekil ve ağırlıktaki esnek ürünlerin temassızkaldırılıp-taşınması için tutucuların yenilikçi yaklaşımları sunulmuştur. Temassız tutucular, tutucu ile ürünarasında Bernoulli prensibine uygun yüksek hızlı akış üretilmesi sonucunda oluşan vakum ile kaldırılmasıilkesiyle çalışmaktadırlar. Çalışmanın sonunda bu tutucularla ilgili ileride yapılabilecek çalışmalar hakkındaönerilerde bulunulmuştur., In this study, an extensive research has been done about grippers working with the Bernoulli principle andapplicationd fields. In automated production processes grasping devices and methods play a crucial role in thehandling of many products. The application of automation for handling of non-rigid products are relativelylimited due to lack of appropriate gripper. Most of the robot grippers are not easily applicable due to this type ofproducts are often non-rigid, delicate, porous and easily marked. In this study, robot grippers work withprinciples of non-contact are introduced. These non-contact grippers are used to handle non-rigid products withvariable size, shape and weight. The non-contact gripper operate using Bernoulli principle of generating a highspeed flow between the end effector and object surface thereby creating a vacuum which lifted the product. Atthe end of the study, suggestions were made about future studies on these grippers.

ZnO single crystals has been implanted with 400 keV Cu ions at fluences of 2,5 x 1016 ions/cm2 at room temperature. The cathodoluminescence (CL) measurements of pure and Cu implanted samples has been reported at UV-visible range at both room and different temperatures. After the implantation process, the samples were annealed for 1 hour at 1000ºC. The effects of ion implantation and annealing temperature and on the CL signals were researched with the data obtained. The CL spectrum of pure ZnO exhibited two emission bands at 385 nm and 550 nm. There are some changes in the emission bands in the CL spectrum that are thought to be due to the presence of Cu ions. Also it is possible to say that the annealing temperature can strongly influence CL intensity.

The aim of this work is to examine some properties of the concircular curvature tensor on $4-$dimensional manifolds admitting a Lorentz metric (so called space-times). In the first two sections, the study is introduced and the interrelated concepts together with some notations are presented. In the third section of the study, some results are obtained connected to eigenbivector structure of the concircular curvature tensor on these manifolds by taking into account the classification scheme of 2--forms (also known as bivectors) in this metric signature. Then, the known holonomy algebras on space-times are considered and some theorems are given regarding the concircular and Riemann curvature tensors. This analysis is also associated with the types of the Riemann curvature tensor on these manifolds. Response surface methodology (RSM) – the method most preferred by quality engineers – is a natural and effective tool to achieve the desired process quality. Most of the current literature on process quality does not focus on information relating to how much better or worse a process is and also the degree of the process performance. on the other hand, although the process performance criteria are able to predict process capability, they cannot provide significant information relating to the process quality in terms of rate of rejects and losses. Therefore, this paper takes into account these two concepts and defines a criterion based on the process capability indices for the upside-down normal loss function (UDNLF). the proposed approach determines the optimal settings of a given process by minimizing the expected UDNLF which is defined in terms of ???? and ?????? indices. the proposed procedure and its merits are illustrated on the basis of an example., Yanıt yüzey metodolojisi (RSM), kalite mühendisleri tarafından oldukça tercih edilen bir yöntem olarak, arzu edilen süreç kalitesine ulaşmak için doğal ve etkin bir araçtır. Bu çalışma, iki kavramı göz önüne alır ve ters çevrilmiş normal kayıp fonksiyonu (UDNLF) için süreç yeterliliği indekslerine dayalı bir kriter tanımlar. Önerilen yaklaşım, ???? ve ?????? indekslerine ile tanımlanmış beklenen UDNLF’ yi minimize ederek, bir sürecin optimal çözümünü belirler. Önerilen yöntem ve avantajları bir örnek üzerinde gösterilmiştir.

Emergency departments are one of the most important units in the hospital where there are special units and many problems. At the beginning of these problems, emergency services are crowded and urgent patient care planning is difficult. The applications such as triage system are used for these problems. However it is known that such applications do not fully solve these problems. In this study, a fuzzy logic based clinical decision support system (CDSS) was developed for the classification of emergency patients. In the study, application complaints and medical data of 180 non-anonymous patients in Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Training and Research Hospital were used. The 95 of the patients are female, 85 are male and the average age is 46. In order to analysis the performance of the performed system, the results of the application and the decisions of the specialist doctor were compared statistically (accuracy, sensitivity and specificity). Consequently, the accuracy of the realized system 83%, sensitivity 87% and specificity 76.6% was found. Provided that the most recent decision belongs to the expert physician, the development of this kind of CDSS is thought to be beneficial in terms of serious time and space in the emergency departments of the hospitals, especially during intensive periods., Acil servisler, her hastanede olan ve içerisinde özel birimlerin bulunduğu, birçok problemi olan en önemli birimlerinden biridir. Bu sorunların başında, acil servislerin kalabalık olması ve acil hasta bakım planlamasının zorluğu gelmektedir. Bu problemler için triyaj sistemi gibi uygulamalar kullanılmaktadır. Fakat bu gibi uygulamalarında problemlere tam olarak çözüm getiremediği bilinmektedir. Bu çalışmada acil servise gelen hastaların sınıflandırılmasına yönelik bulanık mantık tabanlı bir klinik karar destek sistemi (KKDS) gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada Muğla Sıtkı Koçman Üniversitesi Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi'nde anonim olmayan 180 hastanın başvuru şikâyetleri ve medikal verileri kullanılmıştır. Hastaların 95'i kadın, 85'i erkek olup yaş ortalamaları 46’dır. Gerçekleştirilen sistemin performansını test etmek için uygulamanın sonuçları ve uzman hekimin kararları istatistiksel olarak değerlendirilerek (doğruluk, duyarlılık ve özgüllük) karşılaştırılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, gerçekleştirilen sistemin doğruluğu %83, duyarlılığı %87, özgüllüğü %76,6 bulunmuştur. En son kararın uzman hekime ait olması şartıyla bu tür KKDS’nin geliştirilmesi hastanelerin acil servislerinde özellikle yoğun olduğu dönemlerde ciddi zaman ve mekân açısından kazançlı olacağı düşünülmektedir.

Elektrik enerjisinin üretiminde kullanılan fosil yakıtlı kaynaklar çevre kirliliğine yolaçmaktadır. Bu nedenle, termal yakıtlı generatörlerde emisyon salınımının önemigiderek artmaktadır. Ekonomik emisyon yük dağıtımı problemi modern güçsistemlerinin en önemli doğrusal olmayan optimizasyon problemlerinden biridir.Yıldırım Arama Algoritması (YAA), ışık olayına dayalı lider yayılmamekanizmasından esinlenerek geliştirilen ve doğrusal olmayan optimizasyonproblemlerin çözümünde kullanılan sezgisel algoritmalardan biridir. Bu çalışmada,ekonomik emisyon yük dağıtımı problemi YAA ve kaotik YAA algoritmalarıkullanılarak çözülmüştür. Önerilen yaklaşımlar iki farklı test sistemine uygulanmışolup, benzetim çalışmalarından elde edilen sonuçlar literatürdeki diğer sonuçlarlakarşılaştırılmıştır. Önerilen yaklaşımın doğrusal olmayan mühendislik problemlerinçözümünde başarılı bir şekilde uygulandığı gösterilmiştir. The used fossil fuel sources in the production of electrical energy is lead toenvironmental pollution. For this reason, importance of emission release in thethermal generators has been gradually increased. The economic-emission loaddispatch problem is one of the most important nonconvex optimization problems ofthe modern power systems. Lightning Search Algorithm (LSA) is one of the heuristicalgorithms for solving nonconvex optimization problems and it is inspired from themechanism of step leader propagation and based on the phenomenon of lighting. Inthis study, the economic-emission load dispatch problem is solved by using the LSAand chaotic LSA algorithms. The proposed approaches are applied to the twodifferent test system and the obtained results from the simulation studies arecompared to the other results in the literature. The proposed approach issuccessfully applied to solve the nonconvex engineering problems.

Aluminyum alasimlari gunumuzde, yuksek dayanim ve agirlik orani, iyi korozyon ve yorulma direnci nedeniyle, otomotiv ve havacilik sanayinde, plastik enjeksiyon kaliplarinda yaygin bir sekilde kullanilmaktadir. Bu calismada, 80x80x30 mm ebatlarinda EN AW 5754 (AlMg 3 ) aluminyum alasimina kriyojenik islem uygulanmis, kaplamali ve kaplamasiz kesici uclarla yuzey frezeleme islemi gerceklestirilmis ve yuzey frezeleme islemi esnasinda kesme parametrelerinin yuzey puruzlulugu uzerindeki etkileri arastirilmistir. Deneylerde Taguchi L 9 ortogonal dizini ile uc farkli kesici uc (Al 2 O 3 -TiCN-TiN kaplamali, TiAlN kaplamali Nano, TiB 2 kaplamali), kesme hizi (310, 450, 600 m/dak), ilerleme orani (0.15, 0.25, 0.35 mm/dis) ve uc farkli kesme derinligi (0.5, 1, 1.5 mm) kullanilmistir. Deneyler sonucunda elde edilen degerler, sinyal-gurultu orani (S/N), varyans analizi (ANOVA), uc boyutlu grafikler ve regresyon metodu kullanilarak degerlendirilmistir. Taguchi analizi sonucu minimum yuzey puruzlulugu icin elde edilen optimum kesme sartlari; Al 2 O 3 -TiCN-TiN kaplamali kesici uc, 1 mm kesme derinligi, 600 m/dak kesme hizi ve 0.15 mm/dis ilerleme orani olarak bulunmustur. Bu kesme sartlari icin yuzey puruzluluk degerleri hesaplamalarda 0.47 µm olarak bulunmus, dogrulama deneylerinde 0.32 µm olarak olculmustur.

Cyclamen L. is a member of Primulaceae family, a geophyte, which have been utilized for their biological activities in folk medicine. The aim of this study is to investigate the antibacterial activity of three Cyclamen species on some fish pathogens as well as their radical scavenging activity potentials. C. cilicium Boiss. & Heldr., C. pseudibericum Hildebr. and C. hederifolium Aiton were collected from different regions in Turkey. Cyclamen tubers were extracted in ethanol and then DPPH, ABTS and NO methods were utilized for the assurance of radical scavenging activities of the extracts. Antibacterial activity of the extracts were determined in vitro against five bacterial fish pathogens, namely, Vagococcus salmoninarum, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Lactococcus garvieae, Vibrio anguillarum and Yersinia ruckeri. All the tested tuber extracts exhibited moderate antibacterial activity against four bacteria and the radical scavenging activity in the order of potency: C. cilicium>C. pseudibericum>C. hederifolium. In conclusion, this study showed that the Cyclamen species have moderate antibacterial activity against fish pathogenic bacteria except V. anguillarum. Sıklamen (Cyclamen L.) Primulaceae familyasının bir üyesi olup, geofit bitki olarak biyolojik aktivitelerinden dolayı halk arasında tıbbi amaçlı kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, üç sıklamen türünden elde edilen ekstraktların balık patojenleri üzerindeki antibakteriyel aktivitelerini ve radikal süpürme aktivite potensiyellerini belirlemektir. Bu çalışmada kullanılan türler; C. cilicium Boiss. & Heldr., C. pseudibericum Hildebr. ve C. hederifolium Aiton, Türkiye’nin farklı bölgelerinden toplanmıştır. Sıklamen yumruları etanolde ekstrakte edilmiş ve daha sonra ekstraktlardaki radikal süpürme aktivitelerinin belirlenmesi için DPPH, ABTS ve NO metodları kullanılmıştır. Sıklamen bitki ekstraktlarının antibakteriyel aktivitesi in vitro yöntemle beş bakteriyel balık patojenine (Vagococcus salmoninarum, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Lactococcus garvieae, Vibrio anguillarum ve Yersinia ruckeri) karşı belirlenmiştir. Yumrulardan elde edilen ekstraktlarının test edilen tüm bakterilere karşı V. anguillarum hariç antibakteriyel aktivite sergilediğini ve radikal süpürme aktivitesinin en yüksekten en düşüğe sırasıyla C. cilicium>C. pseudibericum>C. hederifolium olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak bu çalışma, test edilen Sıklamen türlerinin su ürünleri yetiştiriciliğinde görülen patojen bakteriler üzerinde V. anguillarum hariç orta düzeyde antibakteriyel etkinliğe sahip olduğunu göstermiştir.

Valonea extract is a natural tannage widely applied in leather industry which is produced via conventional hot water extraction method. On the otherhand more environmental friendly methods have started to be used in extraction technology recently. Present paper reports on the effect of different extraction methods on the properties of valonea extracts. For this purpose, conventional solvent extraction (CSE) (methanol/water mixture), supercritical CO2 (scCO2) extraction and pressurized fluid extraction (PFE) (water/CO2 binary system) techniques have been employed on valonea and the obtained extracts have been characterized. Molecular weight of the tannins was determined by gel permeation chromatography (GPC), particle size was examined by Malvern Zetasizer instrument, chemical structure by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). Tannin content was also examined and the results were compared with commercial valonea extract (CVT). The results showed that especially particle size of the tannins was affected by the applied extraction method and the smallest particle size was obtained by PFE method as 505.3 nm compared to commercial tannin as 983.0 nm of average particle size. PFE method was also provided more uniform extract according to the polydispersity index values. GPC and FTIR analyses showed slightly differences on the characteristics of tannins.

The important differenceof this game in which the rule-based artificial intelligence technique is usedis revealing of story dynamically, and the progressing of game that depends onthe first-person user (FPU)., Bu makalede, 3-B oyunmotoru üzerinde, birinci şahıs kullanıcılı olarak kural tabanlı yapay zekâtekniğine göre bir oyun tasarımı geliştirilmiştir. Yapay zekânın kullanılmadığımevcut bilgisayar oyunlarında sabit bir öykünün kullanıldığı görülmektedir. Buoyunda bir yenilik kural tabanlı yapay zekâ kullanıldığı için, geliştirilen buoyunda yapay zekâya bağlı olarak oyunun hikâyesi dinamik bir şekildetanımlanmış ve oyun içerisinde farklı hikâye kombinasyonları oluşturulmuştur.Bu oyunun tasarımı, kullanıcının yapması olası hamleler üzerine kurgulanmıştır.İçerikte ana bir kural belirlenmiş, bu kural yapay zekâ ile uygulanmış,animasyonlar ve mevcut kurala dayalı yapay zekâ tekniği süreç içerisindeyürütülmüştür. Kural tabanlı yapay zekâ tekniğinin kullanıldığı bu oyununönemli farkı, hikâyelerin dinamik olarak ortaya çıkması ve oyunun gidişatınınbirinci şahıs kullanıcıya bağlı olarak belli olmasıdır.

In vehicle routing problems, the initial solutions of the routes are important for improving the quality and solution time of the algorithm. For a better route construction algorithm, the obtained initial solutions must be basic, fast, and flexible with reasonable accuracy. In this study, initial solutions are introduced to improve the final solution of the Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem based on a method from the literature. Using a different formula for addressing the gravitational forces, a new method is introduced and compared with the previous physics inspired algorithm. By using the initial solutions of the proposed method and using them as the initial routes of the Record-to-Record and Simulated Annealing algorithms, it is seen that better results are obtained when compared with various algorithms from the literature. Also, in order to fairly compare the algorithms executed on different machines, a new comparison scale for the solution quality of vehicle routing problems is proposed that depends on the solution time and the deviation from the best known solution. The obtained initial solutions are then input to Record-to-Record and Simulated Annealing algorithms to obtain final solutions. Various test instances and CVRP solutions from the literature are used for comparison. The comparisons with the proposed method have shown promising results.

In this study, modified electrodes were prepared for Vanilline (VAN) determination. Multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) were functionalized with acid treatment and then gold nanoparticles were electrodeposited on the MWCNTs by applying several repetitive scans in order to form gold nanoparticles modified multiwalled carbon nanotube glassy carbon electrode (Au–MWCNT/GCE) surface. the morphology and structure of electrode surfaces were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). the resulting Au–MWCNT/GC electrode showed efficient behavior to VAN electro-oxidation. the calibration graph consisted of two linear segments of 7.0x10-86.5x10-6 mol L-1 and 7.0x10-6-7.5x10-5 mol L-1 with a detection limit of 3.8x10-8 mol L-1 that obtained from differential pulse studies. the practical applicability of the proposed modified electrode was tested for the determination of VAN in commercial ice cream and milk powder. the satisfactory results show that the Au–MWCNT/GCE has promising potential in sensor applications., Bu çalışmada, Vanilin(VAN) tayini için modifiye elektrotlar hazırlanmıştır. Çok duvarlı karbon nanotüpler (MWCNT) asit muamelesi ile foksiyonalize edilmiş ve ardından altın nanoparçacıklar ardışık tekrarlanan taramalar ile altın nanoparçacık modifiye çok duvarlı karbon nanotüp camımsı karbon elektrot (Au-MWCNT/GCE) oluşturmak üzere elektrokimyasal olarak biriktirilmiştir. Elektrot yüzey yapısı ve morfolojisi taramalı electron mikroskopu (SEM) ile karakterize edilmiştir. Elde edilen Au-MWCNT/GC elektrot VAN’nin yükseltgenmesine iyi bir yanıt vermiştir. Diferansiyel puls çalışmalarından elde edilen kalibrasyon eğrisi iki doğrusal aralık içerir ve bu aralıklar 7.0x10-8-6.5x10-6 mol L-1 ve 7.0x10-6-7.5x10-5 mol L-1 dir ve belirtme alt sınırı ise 3.8x10-8 mol L-1dir. Önerilen modifiye elektrodun pratik uygulaması ticari dondurma ve süt tozundaki VAN tayini ile test edimiştir. Tatmin edici sonuçlar, Au– MWCNT/GCE nin sensör uygulamaları için umut vadeden potansiyele sahip olduğunu göstermiştir.

Dis eksikliklerinin tedavisinde dental implant uygulamalari gunumuzde siklikla tercih edilmektedir. Ancak dental implantlarin kemik ile entegrasyonu (osseointegrasyon) icin beklenmesi gereken surenin uzun olmasi bu tedavi yonteminin en onemli dezavantaji olarak karsimiza cikmaktadir. Literaturde, osseointegrasyon icin beklenen surenin kisaltilmasi amaciyla yapilmis cok sayida calisma karsimiza cikmaktadir. Osseointegrasyon suresinin kisaltilmasi amaciyla yuzey hidrofilitesini arttirarak hucre tutunma oranini yukselten Atmosferik Soguk Plazma (ASP) uygulamasi titanyum implantlar icin uygulanmakta ve olumlu sonuclar alindigi iddia edilmektedir. Bu calismada yuzey temas acisini dusurmek ve osteoblast hucrelerin yuzeye tutulumunu artirmak icin titanyum disklerin yuzeyine ASP uygulandi. Farkli zaman araliklarinda uygulanan ASP oncesinde ve sonrasinda temas acisi olcumleri yapildi. ASP uygulamasinin osteoblast hucre hareketi uzerine etkileri immunohistokimyasal ve SEM analizi ile degerlendirildi. Uygulama sonrasinda temas acisi degerlerinde anlamli bir sekilde dusus meydana geldi. Atmosferik soguk plazma uygulamasi osteblast hucreler uzerinde oksidatif stres meydana getirmeden disk yuzeyinde coglamasiini ve tutulumunu artirdi.

Şirketler, müşterilerinin siparişleri hazırlarken hem kesim paternlerindeki fire miktarının hem de kesim sürecindeki kesicinin değişiminin en küçüklenmesini istemektedir. Bu çalışmada, karşılaşılan bu birleşik problem için yeni bir sezgisel algoritma geliştirilmiştir. Son olarak, önerilen algoritmanın etkinliği gerçek hayat problemleri üzerinde gösterilmiştir., Cutting stock problems is one of the most encountered problems in production and planning. in this work, an One-Dimensional Cutting Stock Problem which is encountered in companies which are in steel industry is discussed. the companies desires both minimization of the trim loss in cutting patterns and changes of the cutters in cutting process when preparing customer orders. in this work, a new heuristic algorithm for the encountered integrated problem. Finally, the efficiency of the proposed algorithm on real-life problems is showed.

Bu çalışmada, denizde yer alan petrol ve doğal gaz yataklarının yönlü kuyularla işlenmesi için platformların optimal yerleştirilmesi ve onların entegrasyonu problemi ele alınmış, ilgili problemin matematiksel modelleri incelenmiş ve bu modellerin eksik yanları göz önüne alınarak daha kapsamlı bir matematiksel model geliştirilmiştir. Önerilmiş model için Graflarda Minimum Kapsayan Ağaç problemi için geliştirilmiş Kruskal ve Veri Kümeleme problemlerinde kullanılan K-Means algoritmalarına dayanarak bir yaklaşık çözüm algoritması hazırlanmış ve yukarıda adı geçen problemi çözmek için C# programlama dilinde bir yazılım sistemi geliştirilmiştir., In this study, the problem of optimal placement of offshore oil and gas platforms and bounding them with each others is studied, mathetmatical models of the problem analyzed and considering lacking parts of the models, a new extensive model is submitted. Based on the model with regards to the Kruskal algorithm which is improved for the Minimum Spanning Tree problem and k-means that is used for clustering problems, a solution algorithm is prepared and a software system is develop in C# programming language.

Belenyenice Barajı, tarımsal sulama ve rekreasyon amaçlı projelendirilmişbir baraj olup bölge ekonomisine ciddi katkılar sağlamaktadır. Bu barajınprojelendirilmesinde Doğal Yapı Malzemelerinin (DYM) nitelik ve nicelikyönünden karakterizasyonu projenin fizibilitesi açısından çok büyük önemtaşımaktadır. Bu çalışma, Belenyenice Barajı’nın DYM olanaklarını, malzemelerindetaylı jeoteknik analizini ve gövde tipi seçiminde ortaya koyulan mühendislikyaklaşımlarını kapsamaktadır. Bu bağlamda, ofis, arazi ve laboratuvarçalışmaları gerçekleştirilmiştir. Ofis çalışmaları, sahanın genel jeolojisi ileilgili literatür bilgilerinin derlenmesi ve 1/25000 ölçekli topografikharitalar ile uydu görüntülerinden faydalanarak potansiyel DYM alanlarınınbelirlenmesini kapsamaktadır. Arazi çalışmaları kapsamında, belirlenen potansiyelDYM alanlarında malzemenin niteliği ve niceliği ile ilgili gözlem yapılmış vebu alanlarda malzeme araştırma çukurları açılarak numuneler alınmıştır. Alınannumuneler üzerinde laboratuvar çalışmaları kapsamında deneyler yapılmış vemalzemenin gövdede kullanılabilirliği analiz edilmiştir. Tüm bu analizlersonucunda malzeme alnının baraj eksenine olan uzaklığı malzemenin niteliği veniceliği göz önüne alınarak Belenyenice Barajı’nın gövde tipi kil çekirdeklikaya dolgu olarak projelendirilmiştir., Belenyenice Dam which is projected for agricultural irrigation and recreation purposes, makes significant contributions to the regional economy. In the projection of this dam, qualitative and quantitative characterization of Natural Structural Materials (NSM) in terms of project feasibility is very important. This study comprises the NSM possibilities of Belenyenice Dam, detailed geotechnical analysis of geo-materials and the engineering approaches for the selection of dam body type. In this context, office, field and laboratory works have been implemented. Within office works, literature about the general geology of the study area was compiled and determination of potential NSM areas based on the 1/25000 scaled topographical map and satellite images were carried out. Within the context of field works, observations on the quality and the quantity of the materials in the specified potential NSM areas are realized and soil samples were handled from excavated trial pits. Laboratory tests have been performed on the soil samples within the laboratory works and the usability of the material dor the dam body was analysed. As a result of all these analysis, Belenyenice Dam body type was projected as clay core rock fill dam considering the distance between the NSM area and dam axis location and based on the quality and the quantity of the materials.

Bu çalışmada ASTM B574 (Hastelloy C-22) malzemesi üzerinde tornalama işlemi sonrasında kesme parametrelerinin (kesme derinliği, kesme hızı, radius, ilerleme hızı, debi, talaş açısı, yanaşma açısı) yüzey pürüzlüğü ve sıcaklık üzerindeki etkileri incelenmiştir. Kesme parametrelerini etkileyen faktörleri belirlemek için varyans analizi (ANOVA) uygulanırken, yüzey pürüzlülüğünü etkileyen parametrelerin optimizasyonu Taguchi ortogonal deney tasarımına dayanan Tepki Yüzeyi Metodolojisi (RSM) ile elde edilmiştir. Geliştirilen modellerin yüzey pürüzlülüğü ve sıcaklık tahmini için gerekli olan doğruluğu oldukça başarılıdır. Ölçüt olarak ???? değerinin kullanıldığı çalışmada ortalama Ra yüzey pürüzlüğü için %93.85, doğruluk değeri elde edilmiştir. ANOVA analizleri sonucunda %95 güven aralığında, Ra için en etkili parametreler sırasıyla kesme hızı, yanaşma açısı, talaş açısı ve debi olarak tespit edilmiş ve en düşük yüzey pürüzlüğü oranı için en uygun kesme parametre değerleri belirlenmiştir. In this study, the impact of cutting parameters (depth-of-cut, cutting speed, feed, flow, rake angle, lead angle) on surface roughness in the turning process with regard to ASTM B574 (Hastelloy C-22) material has been investigated. Variance analysis (ANOVA) has been applied in order to determine the factors affecting the surface roughness. The optimization of the parameters affecting the surface roughness has been obtained using Response Surface Methodology (RSM) based on the Taguchi orthogonal experimental design. The accuracy required for surface roughness and temperature estimation of the developed models is quite successful. As a criterion, when the value of R2 is used, 93.85% accuracy value is obtained for the average Ra surface roughness. As a result of ANOVA analysis, the most effective parameters for Ra were determined as cutting speed, lead angle, rake angle and flow rate, respectively, at 95% confidence interval and optimal cut parameter values were determined for the lowest surface roughness ratio.

Sosyal medyanın bilgiyi kitlelere kolayulaştırması ve grup kurma olanağı sunması; insanların belirli konularda bu türmecralarda yaygın şekilde örgütlenmesini sağlamaktadır. Bu çalışma kapsamında, Ülkemizdeve Dünya’da yaygın olarak kullanılan sosyal medya platformlarından Facebook’untrafikle ilgili birçok konuda sürücüler tarafından kullanımı ve kentiçiulaşımda etkileri incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu amaçla ilk aşamada Türkiye’de81 ilde kurulan ve hızla yayılan Facebook “Trafik” gruplarının üye sayısıüzerinde etkili parametreler araştırılmıştır. Gruplardaki güncel kullanıcısayıları tespit edilmiş; üye sayıları, incelenen illerle ilgili parametrelerinetkisi, Adaptif Ağ Tabanlı Bulanık Çıkarım Sistemi (Adaptive Network FuzzyInference System, ANFIS) ile modellenip tahmin edilmiştir. İkinci aşama olarak,grup sayısında yaşanan artışın trafik kazaları ve cezaları üzerindeki etkisikorelasyon analizi ile incelenmiştir. Bağımlı (Facebook “Trafik” grup üyesayısı) ve bağımsız (eğitim düzeyi oranı, çalışan oranı, motorlu taşıt oranı veehliyetli sürücü oranı) değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiyi inceleyebilmek amacıylakorelasyon analizi yapılmış ve regresyonun açıklama gücü 0,77 olarak eldeedilmiştir ANFIS analizinde 62 il için belirlilik katsayısı R2=0,90olarak tahmin edilmiştir. İkinci aşamada, sosyal medya kullanımı ile trafikceza sayılarında ve trafik kaza sayılarında bir değişim olup olmadığı araştırılmıştır;trafik ceza ve kaza sayıları üzerindeki etki için daha detaylı mekânsalverilere ihtiyaç duyulduğu, gelecekteyapılacak çalışmalarda kaza olan kesimlerdeki sosyal paylaşım verilerinintoplanarak incelenmesi gerektiği görülmüştür., Technological developmentsand wide communication possibilities increase the possibility of peopleperceive and criticize the events that occur in their environment.Particularly, events are spreading rapidly and universally through social mediaplatforms which allow people to comment on their content and express theiropinions in a short period of time. Social media platforms widely used inTurkey and world and they allow people to create and organize social mediagroups in different subjects for easy communication and information. In thisstudy, social media platforms that arewidely used in our country and in the world, Facebook's use of drivers in manyaspects of traffic and their impact on urban transportation has been examined. Forthis purpose, effective parameters on “Traffic-Radar'' group member numbers inFacebook, that are established in 81 cities in Turkey, have been examined andthe current number of users in the groups were determined. Then, the effectiveparameters on group member numbers related to the cities have been modeled byusing Adaptive Network-Based Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS). Asa second step, the increase in the number of groups was investigated by thecorrelation analysis between traffic accidents and the effects on thepunishments. With ANFIS analysis, the coefficient of determination for 62cities were estimated as R2 = 0.90. Correlation analysis is alsoperformed in order to examine the relationship between dependent (number ofmembers for "Traffic-Radar" Facebook group) and independent variables(Education level ratio, Employee ratio, Motor vehicle ratio and Licensed driverratio) and coefficient of determination value for the regression analysis hasbeen obtained as 0.80. According to the results of the analysis, motor vehicleratio (number of vehicles per person) are found to be the most effectiveparameter on the number of members of Facebook "Traffic-Radar" groupand it was determined that there is a positive and significant relation betweenthem at a high level (r = 0.777). The use of social media has examined whetherthere has been a change in traffic fines and traffic accident numbers; it isnecessary to carry out a more detailed study on the effects of traffic finesand accidents.

The aim ofthis study is to determine the operational characteristics of an ejectorexpansion refrigeration cycle (EERC) working with refrigerant R134a. Aconstant-area two phase flow ejector at critical mode is modeled to determinethe effect of condenser pressure (Pcond) and evaporator pressure (Pevap)on the performance parameters of EERC: ejector expansion factor (EEF) andcoefficient of performance (COP). Additionally, since it is possible to use theEERC for different cooling requirements, variation of COP and EEF with is also investigated. For this purpose, a simulation programis developed using EES software. Thetwo-phase/compressible fluid flow in the ejector is analyzed accounting forreal gas behavior of the refrigerant. Extensive details of mathematicalmodeling and applied computational procedure are also presented in the study., Buçalışmanın amacı, R134a soğutucu akışkan ile çalışan bir ejektör genleşmesoğutma çevriminin (EERC) çalışma karakteristiklerinin belirlenmesidir. Kritikmodda çalışan, iki fazlı ve sabit alanlı bir ejektör, yoğuşturucu basıncı (Pcond)ve buharlaştırıcı basıncının (Pevap), ejektör genleşme faktörü (EEF)ve performans katsayısı (COP) üzerindeki etkilerinin belirlenmesi içinmodellenmiştir. EERC'nin farklı soğutma yükü ihtiyaçlarında kullanılması mümkünolduğundan, COP ve EEF'’nin soğutma kapasitesi ()'ne bağlı değişimleri de incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla, EESprogramı kullanılarak bir simülasyon programı geliştirilmiştir. Ejektöriçindeki iki fazlı/sıkıştırılabilir akış modellenirken soğutucunun gerçek gazdavranışı hesaba katılmıştır. Geliştirilen matematiksel model ve hesaplamaprosedürü detayları ile sunulmuştur.

Bu çalışmada, Elektro Erozyon ile İşleme (EEİ) tekniğinde işleme haznesine uygulanan titreşimlerin elektrot köşe aşınma geometrisi ve performans çıktıları üzerindeki etkilerinin incelenmesi için titreşim frekansı, boşalım akımı ve vurum süresi gibi farklı işleme koşullarında deneyler yapılmıştır. İşleme haznesi titreşimli (İHT-EEİ) deneylerde titreşimsiz koşullara göre elektrot aşınma hızı (EAH) ve bağıl aşınma (BA) değerleri azalmıştır. Deneysel sonuçlara göre işleme haznesine uygulanan titreşimler elektrot köşe yarıçap değerlerinde azalmaya neden olmuştur. In this study, experiments are conducted with different machining conditions such as vibration frequency, discharge current and pulse duration to investigate the effects of vibrations applied to the machining tank on geometric corner wear of tool electrode and performance outputs in Electrical Discharge Machining. Tool wear rate (TWR) and relative wear (RW) are dropped at experiments with machining tank vibration (MTV-EDM), when compared to experiments without vibrations. According to the results of experiments, vibrations applied to the machining tank have caused a decrease in the values of electrode corner radius.

Though the history of macrofungal studies on Turkish macromycota goes back to almost 100 years and the number of them have increased particularly in the last 3 decades, the accumulated data presents about 2400 taxa. Compared to the 15.000 assumed macrofungi of Europe and the macrofungal diversity estimates of Mueller et al. regarding the plant/macrofungus ratios of temperate regions, there is still much to be done to obtain the overall macrofungal data of Turkey. To contribute to the macrofungal biodiversity of Turkey, this study was carried out, and a new coprinoid species, Leucocoprinus cepistipes (Sowerby) Pat. belonging to the family Agaricaceae, is given as new record for the macromycota of Turkey from Ardeşen district of Rize province. The taxon is desribed briafly and photographs related to its macro and micromorphologies are given. Türkiye makromikotası ile ilgili çalışmaların tarihi neredeyse 100 yıl kadar geriye gitse ve bunların sayısı özellikle son 30 yılda artsa da, biriken data yaklaşık 2400 taksonu ortaya koymaktadır. Avrupada varlığı kabul edilen 15.000 mantar ve Mueller ve arkadaşlarının ılıman bölgelerin bitki/makromantar çeşitliliğine ilişkin tahminleri ile karşılaştırıldığında, Türkiye’nin bütüncül makromantar datasının elde edilebilmesi için daha yapılması gereken çok işin olduğu muhakkaktır. Türkiye makromantar biyoçeşitliliğine katkı sağlamak amacıyla bu çalışma gerçekleştirilmiş ve Agaricaceae familyasına ait yeni bir coprinoid türü olan Leucocoprinus cepistipes (Sowerby) Pat., Rize’nin Ardeşen ilçesinden Türkiye makromikotası için yeni kayıt olarak verilmiştir. Takson kısaca betimlenerek makro ve mikromorfolojisine ait fotoğrafları verilmiştir.

Bu çalışmada, Bitki Büyüme Düzenleyicileri (BBD)’nin [ 6-Benzil Amino Pürin (BAP) (0, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 mg L-1) tek başına ve BAP’ın Naftalen Asetik Asit (NAA) (0, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15 mg L-1) veya İndol Bütirik Asit (IBA) (0, 0.01, 0.05, 0.10 mg L-1)ile kombinasyonları] Liquidambar orientalis (Anadolu sığlası)’in 4-5 haftalık steril fidelerinin hipokotil ve kotiledon eksplantlarından direkt organogenez üzerine etkisi araştırılmıştır. Organogenez için ortama BAP ilavesi gerekli bulunmuş ayrıca, BAP’ın NAA ile kombinasyonları IBA ile kombinasyonlarına göre, gerek sürgün oluşturan eksplant yüzdesi gerekse eksplant başına sürgün sayısı ve sürgünlerin gelişimi bakımından daha iyi sonuç vermiştir. Ortalama en yüksek sürgün oluşturan eksplant yüzdesi (%76.64), 0.10 mg L-1NAA + 3.0 mg L-1BAP içeren Woody Plant Medium (WPM)’da kültüre alınan hipokotil eksplantlarından elde edilmiştir. Eksplant başına ortalama en yüksek sürgün sayısı (32.20 sürgün/eksplant), 0.10 mg L-1IBA + 1.0 mg L-1BAP eklenmiş WPM besin ortamında kültüre alınan hipokotil eksplantlarında gözlenmiştir. Her iki eksplant için de 0.05 mg L-1NAA’in 1.0 veya 2.0 mg L-1BAP ile kombinasyonu uygun bulunmuştur., In this study, the effect of Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs) [6-Benzylaminopurine (BAP)(0, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 mg L-1) alone and BAP in combinations with α-Naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA)(0, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15 mg L-1) or Indole-3-butyric acid (IBA)(0, 0.01, 0.05, 0.10 mg L-1)] on direct organogenesis from hypocotyl and cotyledon explants of 4-5-week-old sterile seedlings of Liquidambar orientalis (Oriental sweetgum) were investigated. For organogenesis, the addition of BAP to the medium was required, also the combinations of BAP with NAA responded better in terms of the percentage of shoot-forming explants, the number of shoots per explant and the growth of shoots as compared to combinations of BAP with IBA. The highest average percentage of shoot formation (76.64%) was obtained from hypocotyl explants cultured on Woody Plant Medium (WPM) containing 0.10 mg L-1NAA + 3.0 mg L-1BAP. The highest average shoot number per explant (32.20 shoots/explant) was observed in also hypocotyl explants cultured on WPM supplemented with 0.10 mg L-1IBA + 1.00 mg L-1BAP. The combination of 0.05 mg L-1NAA + 1.0 or 2.0 mg L-1BAP was found to be appropriate for both explants.
