The article discusses the use of telephoto and super telephoto lenses in event videography. Telephoto lens zoom lengths are given including the 70 to 200 millimeter zooms available in f/2.8 and f/4 models while super telephoto zoom lengths come in 500, 600 and 800 millimeter options. The use of tight shots or close-ups in videography to create the best visual impact is described, such as creating strong emotional reactions from the audience. The disadvantages of using long telephoto lens are enumerated including handholding difficulty in lower lighting.
