Abstract

Background and objectives: Documenting patient data in psoriasis clinical practice can improve care, but standardized and transparent documentation is rare. The current project aimed to develop a data set for the documentation of psoriasis in daily practice. Material and methods: In four online Delphi rounds and one in-person meeting, 27 psoriasis experts allocated variables to a standard, an optimal and an optional data set. Most of the questions were standardized. Open questions were included to allow for the provision of reasons and to enlarge the data sets. Furthermore, in the in-person meeting we considered a) patients' attitudes and b) dermatologists' information on the current usage and acceptability in Germany. Results: The consensus approach resulted in a data set with 69 variables. The standard data set includes 20, the optimal data set 31 and the optional data set 18 variables. In summary, the data set can mainly be grouped into master data, general status and medical history data, medical history of psoriasis, status of psoriasis, diagnostics and comorbidity, therapies and patient-reported outcomes. Conclusions: The consensus recommendation of a standard, an optimal and an optional data set for routine care of psoriasis intends to be a decision-making aid and an orientation for both daily practice and further development of documentation systems.

Abstract

Abstract One of the most critical issues to be faced when building integration solutions in the field of integrated automation of business-processes of an enterprise is the problem of managing the so-called master data. Master data management is a set of processes and tools for the ongoing definition and management of company core data (including reference data). You can come across another name - reference data management [1]. Master data is data with the most important information for running a business: about customers, products, services, personnel, technology, materials, and so on. They are relatively rarely changed and are not transactional [2]. The purpose of master data management is to ensure that there are no repetitive, incomplete, inconsistent data in various areas of the organization's activities. An example of poor basic data management is the work of a bank with a client who already uses a loan product, but still receives offers to take such a loan. The reason for the misbehavior is the lack of current customer data in the customer service department. The basic data management approach envisages such processes as data collection, accumulation, data cleansing, their comparison, consolidation, quality control and data distribution in the organization, ensuring their subsequent consistency and control of use in various operational and analytical applications. Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze the potential of company data assets for data-driven, fact-based decision-making in product portfolio management (PPM). Data assets are categorized from the PPM standpoint, including (product/customer/ …) master data, transactional data, and interaction data (e.g., IoT data). The study combines literature review and qualitative analysis of eight international companies. The findings underline the crucial role of corporate-widely combined and governed data model. Company business IT is adjusted against the corporate-level data model. The order of importance is data first, and the technology second. The data-driven mind-set and culture creation are also important. The implications include understanding the role and potential of combined data assets that form the basis for data-driven PPM. Facts based on company data assets are essential for decision-making instead of “gut feeling” and emotions. The utilization of the unused potential of data assets is promoted in the transformation toward data-driven PPM.
