This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a database model for Ceskoslovensky autoslalom z. s., which organizes automobile races. The main goal of this thesis is to make a complex database model, corresponding to the current situation of the company. The theoretical part describes the methodology used in this thesis. The practical part contains the database creation process. First, there are identified requirements for the new database system. Then conceptual and physical database designs are following. Database created in the MySQL database system and tested in Microsoft Access. The contribution of the thesis is to ease and optimize data management in the organization after the database implementation.

The thesis explains the principle of optical conduction and describes its possible structures. It also deals with the automation of designing, projecting, constructing FTTH optical networks, processing RUIAN data, creating plugins into the QGIS geographic information system and implementing them using the Python programming language.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to define the term high availability and set criteria for evaluating availability and comparing technical ways of achieving thereof with selected open source database systems. In the first part of the thesis, two definitions of high availability are presented along with several reasons for implementing highly available solutions in business information systems. They are followed by the formula for calculating availability and several metrics which can be used to compare individual highly available configurations. In the following part, general features of the selected database systems are described regarding the possibility of implementing highly available configurations and specific highly available configurations are described and tested on virtual servers for the criteria specified earlier.

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of the existing database and its development for future use. The database belongs to an information system called BuddyIS, which is used by the student non-profit organization ESN VŠE Praha - Buddy System. The aim of the thesis is to consolidate the existing database structure, which can be achieved by refactoring and design of new elements. This thesis is based on the knowledge of the organization´s processes, which the author gained through her activity in the organization. Current requirements are inferred from consultations with the members of the organization. The benefit of the thesis is the basis for further development of the whole information system and further documentation that will serve the next generation of organization members.

Příspěvek je zaměřen na problematiku možného vytvoření databáze pro stanovení tržní hodnoty pozemků cenovým porovnáním. V příspěvku se autoři zaměřili na vybrané otázky související se stanovováním tržní hodnoty pozemků. Jsou vymezeny základní vlastnosti pozemků, na kterých závisí správná volba porovnatelného pozemku pro ocenění. Za vlastnosti pozemků, které tvoří základ pro zvolenou metodu oceňování tržní hodnoty pozemků, můžeme označit nejenom druh pozemku uvedený v katastru nemovitostí, ale i zařazení pozemku územním plánem pro jeho využití. Není opomenuta problematika otázek souvisejících s evidencí druhu pozemku v katastru nemovitostí, změny druhu pozemku, způsoby evidence těchto změn a otázky územního plánování. Podrobně je rozebrána problematika jednotkových cen srovnávaných pozemků, zejména odchylky ve výši jednotkové ceny realizovaných prodejů pozemku. V příspěvku je uveden příklad tvorby databáze pro vybrané druhy pozemku. Na příkladu jsou ukázány reálné problémy vznikající při stanovování tržních hodnot konkrétních pozemků porovnávacím způsobem. The talk will be focused on the subject matter of possible creation of a database for determining market value of land using price comparison. The authors will focus upon selected questions regarding determining market value of land. They will define basic properties of land pieces, which are essential for the right choice of another comparable piece of land for valuation. The properties that are essential for selecting the method of valuation of market value of land are not only the kind of land stated in the land cadastre but also the classification of the land within the territorial plan due to its use. They will also talk about the subject matter linked with recording the kind of land within the land cadastre, changes in the kind of land, ways of recording the changes and questions regarding territorial planning. The authors will speak in detail about the subject matter of unit prices of the compared pieces of land, especially regarding the deviations in the sum of unit price in the implemented sales of land. The talk will include an example of creating a database for selected pieces of land. The example will serve for illustrating all the real problems arising when determining market value of concrete pieces of land using the comparison method.

(anglicky): The subject of the my thesis are Czech and Slovak periodicals in the field of library and information science - their concise history, determination of the current terminology in this field and publishing work, description of the editorial staff and the roles of its members, reviewing procedure and editorial work applied to specific examples of both printed and electronic media, specification of formal appurtenances of a specialized article, citation and information ethics. The following chapter deals with the characteristics of the current specialized periodicals issued in the Czech and Slovak Republic. The research oriented part focuses upon the topical analysis of library periodicals, further the results of two questionnaires relating to editorial work are discussed as well as various preparatory stages of a specialized periodical. The thesis analyzes and compares the selected information systems on industrial property focused on trademarks and industrial designs. These are the selected systems of the Industrial Property Office of the Czech Republic, the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market, the World Intellectual Property Organization, the US Patent and Trademark Office and the Swedish Patent and Registration Office. The work is divided into seven parts. The first part describes the terminology and the environment of trademarks and industrial designs. The second part lists the types of international classification, which is followed by the third part, which describes the international treaties and agreements. The fourth part presents selected institutions and their analyzed systems. The fifth part deals with the analysis and the sixth section summarizes trends in the disclosure of trade marks and industrial designs. The last seventh part of the work shows an impact of the protection of trademarks and industrial designs in the business. Bachelor thesis deals with a plan and an analysis of application for an organisation The Centre for Integration of Foreigners. In the first part is outlined theoretical basis about history of Android and its versions, after that terms localization and internationalization are explained as application will be used by many consumers with different language skills. In next part of bachelor thesis is assessed current condition of web pages of CIC organization and is conducted analysis of the market from two sides of view. Firstly, analysis of the organizations that offer development of application and secondly, analysis of applications available at the moment in the market. In order to find out requirements to application of future consumers survey research will be conducted and evaluated survey research. In the last part of this thesis requirements to application are named and analysed, finally is presented a rough plan of application CZECHTACK with help of mobile screens pictures or database model.

The thesis New Names of Professions is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, basic terms from the world of work are defined; the essential term is profession. Furthermore, neologisms are defined in the first part in accordance with professional literature without being confined to denomination of persons. For the purposes of the practical part, new names of professions were excerpted from the list of professions of the employment office and from a list in Učitelské noviny. Their occurrence was further verified using the EDA and Newton media databases and the results of the research were compared with the created list. An alphabetical list of the excerpted professions and a thematically divided list of those professions are an integral part of this work.

Implantation and the care of vascular reconstructions and accesses for haemodialysis is one of areas of cardiovascular surgery. Both vascular reconstructions, known as bypasses, and prosthetic haemodialytic accesses, known as grafts, are used only if conventional therapies are unsuccessful. Thus effectivity of these operations is critically important for patient survival. The aim of this thesis is development of software system for evidence data obtained during vascular operations and following checkups. Important is also support for basic analytical and statistical processing of collected data. Another goal is to transform collected data into knowledge useful for increasing effectivity of vascular operations.

The aim of this thesis is to analyze online film reviews of a documentary Katka and users' comments published in Česko-Slovenská filmová databáze. In the theoretical part of this thesis, the text will cover definition of a term documentary movie and his historical development in Czech Republic and former Czechoslovakia. Also it will mention work of a documentary film maker Helena Třeštíková and her movie Katka. This thesis will also describe term review and commentary, which will be applied in the practical part of the thesis. Users' comments and online reviews of a documentary Katka by Helena Třeštíková are evaluated using authors' theoretical knowledge. The key result of the thesis is a quantitative and qualitative analysis of a review and comment as a tool to referring about documentary Katka.

Translation initiation in the hepatitis C virus (HCV) occurs through a cap- independent mechanism that involves an internal ribosome entry site (IRES) capable of interaction with and utilization of the eukaryotic translational machinery. We focused on the structural configuration of the different HCV-IRES domains and the impact of IRES primary sequence variations on secondary structure conservation and function. For this purpose we introduced into our laboratory, methods such as denaturing gradient and temperature gradient gel electrophoresis for screening the degree of heterogeneity and total amount of HCV-IRES variability accumulated in HCV infected patients over a period of time. The selected samples showed variable migration pattern of the HCV-IRES (from all the patients) visualized in DGGE and TGGE, were sequenced and evaluated for translation efficiency using flow cytometry. In some cases, we discovered that multiple mutations, even those scattered across different domains of HCV-IRES, led to restoration of the HCV-IRES translational activity, although the individual occurrences of these mutations were found to be deleterious. This bachelor thesis is specialized in sorting enormous amount of data using several methods. Data mining is a process consisting in collecting knowledge from databases or data warehouses. Data can come from service's providers or it can be local database from certain company or national data which are focused on economic research. Data used in this bachelor thesis comes from freely available website Eurostat. Theoretic part is dedicated to data itself, their format and methods and RapidMiner, which is the tool for sorting data. Practical part is focused on real methods which are built this software. In the end results are interpreted. Every single method shows different results and this results can be used for management or future economic decision.

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of brownfields in urban environments and is focused on brownfields in Brno. The potential of brownfields is presented on a concrete example of the revitalization. In a work was chosen brownfields located in the city of Brno. Then was created the project of its revitalization. This brownfields is located in the Pisárecké Valley between the Anthropos Pavilion and the recreation area of the Riviera. Project is made in two versions. The first variant deals only with area of this brownfields, the second variant deals with this brownfields and its closed areal. This area was also previously led as a brownfields area. The revitalization project is based on historical and qualitative dispositions of the com-plex. Also take into account the spatial plan of Brno and the results of the survey. A visual design of the brownfields revitalizations was created using AutoCAD software to compare the situation before and after the revitalizations. Also was created a plan of costing and plan of timetable of planned revitalization. The study also presented problems of available databases of brownfields. After analys-ing an available information has been proposed a plan of comprehensive database.

The theme of bachelor work is NoSQL graph database Neo4J. The main objective of this work is to describe the key features Neo4J and show a practical example of how to work with this system. To achieve this objective were studied books, internet resources which relate to this topic and official documentation for the database system. The contribution of this work consists in dismantling work with Neo4J through different tools and defining use cases that database. After reading the practical part of the work reader would be able to understand the basics of working with database system Neo4J. The theoretical part focuses on the detailed analysis of the database system Neo4J, specifies terms NoSQL and graph database, defines the place of Neo4J in NoSQL databases, provides the possibility of using Neo4J in practice. In the practical part are presented examples of work with the system Neo4J, is shown the usage of query language Cypher, REST API and web interface Webadmin.

Demonstration of the Android application development principles explained on a simple game is a thesis describing in it's theoretical part Android OS. It also briefly describes it's history and especially it's architecture emphasizing on my thesis' part relevant to the practi-cal part of my dissertation. It also focuses on the general applications' architecture princi-ples for this operating system. In the practical part of the thesis I tend to describe the application development principles for Android OS. This is achieved on an sample application. This sample application is an implementation of a text-based adventure game in the Java language. It uses SQLite data-base for storing the game data. There is a game framework which enables entering diffe-rent game data to the database and thus playing different games with divergent game plays.

The purposes of the paper are to contribute to the understanding of the notion of anisotropy of images and to expose details on a method for deriving global and local statistical features on materials, based on anisotropy. We introduce a definition of anisotropy related to the edges and improve measures of anisotropy. The images dealt with correspond mainly to non-woven fabrics based on polymeric fibers. A discussion of the applicative potential is included.

The main goal of this thesis is to provide full description of an implementation of an application that is supposed to be a complex dactyloscopic database tool. The text is divided into parts according to the functional blocks of the application. The parts are namely processing of input fingerprint, the minutiae point analysis, the description of minutiae representation, the database and index structure described with its operations. This work deals with transplanted trees. It contains practical use of automated equipment, technological processes and conditions for transplanting trees on a few specific cases. The work also includes analyzes and processes at certain stages of transplanting, and is divided into several parts .The first part is the general procedures of transplanting trees with the help of mechanization. The second part describes the specific machines from top manufacturers and is complemented by a record database applications. The third part includes a model draft technical security transplanting trees in the selected location. The proposal includes technological processes, calculation of time and cost.

This bachelor work deals with the NoSQL concepts and database management system CouchDB and MarkLogic in particular. The aim of this work is to bring the causes of NoSQL DBMS, describe their selected properties and to provide generally accepted classification of these DBMS based on their data model. Another aim is to describe the basic principles of DBMS CouchDB and MarkLogic, on selected use cases demonstrate some reasons of choosing these databases to some companies, and then compare these two DBMS and draw attention to some important aspects that may be crucial in decision making to deploy some of these DBMS. For the contribution of this work I consider compared popular and interesting because of its properties DBMS CouchDB and MarkLogic and thus created the basis for the selection of one of two DBMS into a specific project. The work is divided into four chapters. The theoretical part is introduced by the second and third chapters. The second chapter devotes to properties of NoSQL DBMS. The third chapter discusses the characteristics of DBMS CouchDB and MarkLogic. The practical part is introduced by the fourth chapter, where both these systems are compared according to various aspects.

The topic of this thesis is copyright protection of databases. The aim of the thesis is to find out, via comparison of the different legal systems, if the European legislation of legal protection of databases is proper, adequate and if it reflects the current needs of the European society. In presented paper we describe a design and implementation of an information system based on base of embedded client and Linux application server architecture. Presented information system serves for remote collection, storing and processing information on the number of carried out mechanical cycles for group of older existing fatigue test machines in an automotive components production. This upgrade of existing infrastructure we built on the electronic counter module with Ethernet interface and on the known Internet Protocol (SNMP). Eight electronic counter modules replaced existing electromechanical digital totalizing counters and they count of outputs from 8 pieces of mechanical impulse test machines (each of them with 2Hz output frequency). The web and application servers are built on the Linux operating system. The MVC architecture (Model-View-Controller) serves as the base for web application and it was written together with backend application server around the Ruby on Rails web framework. The database is built on the MySQL server. We carried out three ways to verify of accuracy of this manner counting and collecting of mechanical cycles and we reached results comparable with manual collecting of data. Thanks to automatic detection of ends of fatigue tests we reached more effective utilization of test machines (more than 25%). Our solution of upgrading of the existing industrial infrastructure for fatigue tests is very reasonably priced and is suitable for older industrial facilities.

This thesis describes the design and implementation of database for project management, which is the basis for creating Web application. The main resources are the foundation of projects, assigning people to projects and their proper function, distribution of tasks, submission of documents and various statistics. The database is created using the tool MySQL Workbench, which is subsequently tested thus ensuring suitability and ease of implementation for the Web application.

Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of irreversible blindness in the world. Early detection is essential to delay its evolution and avoid vision loss. For this purpose, retinal fundus images can be used to assess the cup-to-disc ratio, the main indicator of glaucoma. Several automatic methods have been developed to compute this indicator, but the lack of ground truth of the optic disc and cup is an obstacle to evaluate and compare their results. In order to support clinicians to perform this task, an interactive tool for the segmentation of the disc and cup on stereo and monocular retinal fundus images has been developed. By using this tool, we have also built a new database of 159 stereo fundus images with two ground truth of disc and cup. The application and the database are both publicly available online. This work can serve as a learning environment for clinicians, as well as to evaluate the results of automatic segmentation algorithms.

Matzke, M. Development of an information system for companies dealing with geodetic and construction equipment. Brno, 2015. Bachelor thesis. Mendel University in Brno. This work is concerned with database design and implementation of a program of internal information system for the company TOPGEOSYS. The database was created by MySQL. To implement the program itself, it was used PHP programming language or the Nette framework, as well as CSS and HTML. The theoretical part describes the development of Web applications, market analysis and ERP systems, focusing on individual components. Also contains a description of imitation of databases and the overall system, its scalability and final evaluation of conformity-produced IS.

This master thesis is concerned with the choice of suitable data quality dimensions for a particular database of economy information and proposes and implements metrics for its assessment. The aim of this paper is to define the term data quality in the context of economy information database and possible ways to measure it. Based on dimensions suitable to observe, a list of metrics was created and subsequently implemented in SQL query language, alternatively in a procedural extension Transact SQL. These metrics were also tested with the use of real data and the results were provided with a commentary. The main asset of this work is its complex processing of the data quality topic, from theoretical term definition to particular implementation of individual metrics. Finally, this study offers a variety of both theoretical and practical directions fort this issue to be further researched.

The theoretical part of this thesis is devoted to familiarization with the technology of cloud computing, virtualization technology, data storage problems and Petri nets. Followed by the practical part, the first part discusses the various technologies which are VMware ESX, Citrix Xen, Hyper -V, KVM and oVirt. The following part is a summary of the characteristics of each technology and an output of this summary is a decision tree which is intended to help to select the appropriate virtualization technology. The second part is dedicated to the implementation of an application used for storing data in the database depending on the sensitivity of data. The aim of the diploma thesis is to define individual types of intellectual property and to describe ways of intellectual property protection in Czech Republic including the relevant institutions and legislation. The thesis demonstrates how the intellectual property is protected abroad, concerning the national degree of protection in thirty countries (according to OECD selection) and also the international degree. Attention is paid to individual institutions and their objectives and also to their online presentation via institutional websites with the inclusion of the websites' quality ranking. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to propose and implement a recommender system for an e-shop, that selects and offers specific objects of users interest based on its database and according to their enter. The theoretical part introduces the issue of user preferences and explains a few basic implementation approaches. Furthermore, the reader learns about developing tools used for implementation the module of recommendation, which uses C# as a programming language. The properties of this system are described in practical part using samples of individual functionalities.

The theme of this work is database storage Hadoop Hbase. The main goal is to demonstrate the principles of its function and show the main usage. The entire text assumes that the reader is already familiar with the basic principles of NoSQL databases. The theoretical part briefly describes the basic concepts of databases then mostly covers Hadoop and its properties. This work also includes the practical part which describes how to install a database repository and illustrates basic database operations in two simple programs. The components of the practical part are case studies that report current use of Hadoop in the world-famous companies.
