Aiming at the shortcomings of the current forward converter, such as low utilization rate of excitation energy, complex circuit structure and single function of magnetic reset technology, a novel secondary side parallel LCD forward converter is proposed. By analyzing the working principle of the proposed converter, the optimal combined working mode is obtained, which can improve the energy transmission efficiency of the converter, ensure high power transmission and reduce the output voltage ripple. The energy transfer process of the optimal mode is deeply analyzed, the input–output relationship and the critical inductance expression in this mode are deduced, and the optimization of the parameters of the capacitor and inductance components in the converter is proposed. Finally, according to the parameter optimization design scheme, a prototype of the secondary side parallel LCD forward converter is developed. The experimental results of the prototype show that the proposed forward converter can not only achieve reliable magnetic reset, but also transmit the excitation energy of the converter to the load side, which effectively improves the efficiency of the converter.

The epidermal cysts are benign cysts most commonly found in the head, neck and trunk. An epidermal cyst of the knee is an unusual complication developed after total knee arthroplasty. Here, we present a case of an 83-year-old man with a palpable mass in the left knee located beneath the scar, 3 years after total knee arthroplasty. The patient underwent complete surgical excision of the mass. Histological analysis revealed an epidermoid cyst.

Vortex electromagnetic waves (VEMWs) carrying orbital angular momentum (OAM) are promising to benefit the higher degree of freedom for inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging on account of their helical wavefront. For high‐speed targets, the ‘stop and go’ hypothesis is no longer valid. Thus, the intrapulse movement of the target will cause the broadening and shift of the one‐dimensional range profile and the blurring of the OAM eigenvalues coupling azimuth. This contribution proposes a high‐speed target imaging method for the VEMW ISAR. First, an OAM‐based ISAR imaging model for high‐speed targets is derived and the echo characteristics are analysed. Subsequently, in order to effectively estimate the ratio of the echo to correct the imaging result, an estimation method that takes into account the calculation speed and accuracy is proposed. On this basis, the target velocity distribution obtained under multiple echoes is analysed to improve the accuracy of the results. Finally, the range profile and azimuthal profile are reconstructed. Compared with the existing vortex electromagnetic imaging algorithm, the proposed method can effectively eliminate the influence of high‐speed motion on the range and azimuth profile. This work provides suggestions for the development of EM vortex ISAR imaging technology.

Objective To investigate the effect of platelet‐rich plasma on tendon‐bone healing after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. Methods This retrospective study included 85 patients (range, 18–50 years; mean age, 33.95 ± 10.53 years; male/female, 49/36) who underwent anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using autologous hamstring tendons between August 2017 and June 2019 at our institute. The participants in the study group (n = 42) were injected with platelet‐rich plasma at both ends of the tendon graft, while those in the control group (n = 43) received an injection of normal saline. Magnetic resonance imaging signal/noise quotient values of the femoral and tibial ends, knee Lysholm scores, and International Knee Documentation Committee scores were compared at 3, 6, and 12 months postoperatively. Results The signal/noise quotient values of the femoral and tibial ends in both groups were higher at 6 months than at 3 and 12 months postoperatively. Copper-catalyzed selective alkynylation with N-propargyl carboxamides as nucleophiles has been successfully developed for the synthesis of C2-functionalized chromanones. Under optimized reaction conditions, 21 examples were obtained in one-pot procedure through 1,4-conjugate addition. This protocol features readily available feedstocks, easy operations and moderate to good yields, which provides viable access to pharmacologically active C2-functionalized chromanones.

Background Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is characterized by ectopic accumulation of triglycerides in the liver. Emerging evidence has demonstrated that lipophagy regulates lipid mobilization and energy homeostasis in the liver. Sirtuin 3 (SIRT3), a mitochondrial NAD+-dependent deacetylase, modulates the activities of several substrates involving in autophagy and energy metabolism. Honokiol (HK) is a natural lignan from the plants of Magnolia genus that exhibits potent liver protective property. Methods AML12 was challenged with 500 μM palmitic acid and 250 μM oleic acid mixture solution to induce lipotoxicity. C57BL/6J mice were fed with a choline-deficient high fat diet (CDHFD) to generate liver steatosis. The expression of autophagy-related and AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) pathway proteins was evaluated by Western blotting and immunofluorescence staining. Intracellular lipid accumulation was validated by Nile red staining. Molecular docking analysis was performed on AutoDock 4.2. Results HK (5 and 10 μM) was found to attenuate lipid accumulation through promoting SIRT3-AMPK-mediated autophagy, mainly on lipid droplets. HK had hydrophobic interaction with amino acid residues (PHE294, GLU323 and VAL324) and NAD+. Moreover, HK improved mitochondrial function to enhance lipolysis, through decreasing the acetylated long-chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase level. In CDHFD-fed mice, HK (2.5 and 10 mg/Kg) treatment obviously prevented lipid accumulation in the liver. And co-treatment of the AMPK inhibitor, Compound C, almost abolished the above changes. Conclusions These results suggest that HK could ameliorate lipotoxicity in hepatocytes by activating SIRT3-AMPK-lipophagy axis, which might be a potential therapeutic agent against NAFLD.

Tremendous volume expansion of silicon anode during cycling limits its further application. Here, a novel silicon nano-ribbon (SiNR) with (110) crystal plane is proposed as anode for the Lithium-ion batteries. The SiNRs with (110) crystal plane have been synthesized by a simple electrochemical micromachining method. Both invasion direction of the lithium-ions and expansion directions of the lithiated silicon are limited to the crystal direction. Recrystallization of SiNR induced by the retention of silicon atomic chains after delithiation is verified experimentally and theoretically. Such SiNR, without necessary surface coating treatment, exhibits high ionic conductivity, high stable solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) and long cycling stability, retaining a specific capacity of 1721.3 mAh g−1 (∼80% capacity retention) after 2000 cycles with an initial coulombic efficiency (CE) of 83%. The rational design of nanostructured battery materials and electrodes in this work also opens a new dimension in material design for other batteries.

Lithium-ion batteries are the most widely used in commercial applications. However, the scarcity of resources and high price seriously restrict the development of lithium-ion batteries. The aqueous zinc-ion batteries have higher ionic conductivity, environmental stability, safety and high storage of zinc. The present study demonstrates a novel material of aqueous zinc-ion batteries by which NiCo2O4/CNT material was prepared by solvothermal method + calcination method. At the current density of 100 mA·g−1, the specific discharge capacity of NiCo2O4/CNT positive electrode is 99.2 mAh·g−1 for the first time, and 57.8 mAh·g−1 after 300 cycles, while only 5.6 mAh·g−1 remains in the positive electrode of NiCo2O4. This is due to the excellent conductivity of CNT, improve the conductivity of the composite material. It also increases the specific surface area of the material. The active sites of Zn2+ adsorption/desorption were increased, and the specific capacitance of the material was also increased. The volume change of electrode material caused by electrode reaction is inhibited, and the stability of the material is improved. This study highlights that the combination of NiCo2O4 material and multiwalled carbon nanotube improves the performance of aqueous zinc-ion batteries, which can guide the future design of stream zinc-ion batteries.

According to the working principle of the proposed quadratic Buck-Boost Converter with Switched Inductor Network, the converter is divided into continuous conduction mode (CCM) and discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) according to whether the minimum current flowing through the inductor L3 is equal to zero. Subsequently, the inductor peak current in the two modes are derived. Based on the quadratic Buck-Boost Converters with Switched Inductor Network, a entire dynamic range inductor peak current analysis method is proposed within a given input voltage and load range. Meanwhile, In terms of different value ranges of the inductor L3, the working area of the converter is divided into three parts, and the maximum inductor peak current in the three working conditions are compared. By analyzing the relationship between the maximum inductor peak current and the value of the inductor L3, it is concluded that L3 = L3CA is the critical inductance at which the maximum inductor peak current of the converter reaches the minimum in the entire dynamic range. Finally, the experimental results demonstrate the reasonability and correctness of the proposed theoretical analysis.

This prospective non-randomized, multicenter clinical trial was performed to investigate efficacy and safety of 131I-labeled metuximab in adjuvant treatment of unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods: Patients were assigned to treatment with transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) combined with 131I-metuximab or TACE alone. The primary outcome was overall tumor recurrence. The secondary outcomes were safety and overall survival. Results: The median time to tumor recurrence was 6 months in the TACE+131I-metuximab group (n = 160) and 3 months in the TACE group (n = 160) (hazard ratio, 0.55; 95% confidence interval, 0.43 to 0.70; P < 0.001). The median overall survival was 28 months in the TACE+131I-metuximab group and 19 months in the TACE group (hazard ratio, 0.62; 95% confidence interval, 0.47 to 0.82; P = 0.001). Conclusion: TACE+131I-metuximab showed a greater anti-recurrence benefit, significantly improved the 5-year survival of patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma, and was well tolerated by patients.

Background:. Accumulating evidence suggests that lithium influences mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) proliferation and osteogenic differentiation. As decreased bone formation in femoral heads is induced by glucocorticoids (GCs), we hypothesized that lithium has a protective effect on GC-induced osteonecrosis of femoral heads (ONFH). Methods:. A rat ONFH model was induced by methylprednisolone (MP) and the effect of lithium chloride on the models was evaluated. Micro-computed tomography (CT)-based angiography and bone scanning were performed to analyze the vessels and bone structure in the femoral heads. Hematoxylin and eosin and immunohistochemical staining were performed to evaluate the trabecular structure and osteocalcin (OCN) expression, respectively. Bone marrow-derived MSCs were isolated from the models, and their proliferative and osteogenic ability was evaluated. Western blotting and quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction were performed to detect osteogenic-related proteins including Runx2, alkaline phosphatase, and Collagen I. Results:. Micro-CT analysis showed a high degree of osteonecrotic changes in the rats that received only MP injection. Treatment with lithium reduced this significantly in rats that received lithium (MP + Li group); while 18/20 of the femoral heads in the MP showed severe osteonecrosis, only 5/20 in the MP + Li showed mild osteonecrotic changes. There is currently no ideal treatment for osteochondral lesions of the femoral head (OLFH) in young patients.We performed a 1-year single-arm study and 2 additional years of follow-up of patients with a large (defined as3 cm 2 ) OLFH treated with insertion of autologous costal cartilage graft (ACCG) to restore femoral head congruity after lesion debridement. Twenty patients ≤40 years old who had substantial hip pain and/or dysfunction after nonoperative treatment were enrolled at a single center. The primary outcome was the change in Harris hip score (HHS) from baseline to 12 months postoperatively. Secondary outcomes included the EuroQol visual analogue scale (EQ VAS), hip joint space width, subchondral integrity on computed tomography scanning, repair tissue status evaluated with the Magnetic Resonance Observation of Cartilage Repair Tissue (MOCART) score, and evaluation of cartilage biochemistry by delayed gadolinium-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging of cartilage (dGEMRIC) and T2 mapping.All 20 enrolled patients (31.02 ± 7.19 years old, 8 female and 12 male) completed the initial study and the 2 years of additional follow-up. The HHS improved from 61.89 ± 6.47 at baseline to 89.23 ± 2.62 at 12 months and 94.79 ± 2.72 at 36 months. The EQ VAS increased by 17.00 ± 8.77 at 12 months and by 21.70 ± 7.99 at 36 months (p0.001 for both). Complete integration of the ACCG with the bone was observed by 12 months in all 20 patients. The median MOCART score was 85 (interquartile range [IQR], 75 to 95) at 12 months and 75 (IQR, 65 to 85) at the last follow-up (range, 24 to 38 months). The ACCG demonstrated magnetic resonance properties very similar to hyaline cartilage; the median ratio between the relaxation times of the ACCG and recipient cartilage was 0.95 (IQR, 0.90 to 0.99) at 12 months and 0.97 (IQR, 0.92 to 1.00) at the last follow-up.ACCG is a feasible method for improving hip function and quality of life for at least 3 years in young patients who were unsatisfied with nonoperative treatment of an OLFH. Promising long-term outcomes may be possible because of the good integration between the recipient femoral head and the implanted ACCG.Therapeutic Level IV . Herein, a small series of 3-pyrrolin-2-ones was efficiently synthesized through a three-step Ugi cascade sequence. This method features readily available substrates, simple aqueous workup procedures and good yields, dramatically improving generality of reaction. Importantly, the newly product N-benzyl-2-(3-(4-chlorophenyl)-4-methyl-2-oxo-2,5-dihydro-1H-pyrrol-1-yl)-2-phen-ylacetamide exhibited potent anti-proliferation in prostate cancer cell line through G1/S cell cycle arrest and targeted in PI3K/AKT/TSC2 signal pathway.

Chloroplasts play a crucial role in plant growth and fruit quality. However, the molecular mechanisms of chloroplast development are still poorly understood in fruits. In this study, we investigated the role of the transcription factor SlBEL2 (BEL1-LIKE HOMEODOMAIN 2) in fruit of Solanum lycopersicum (tomato). Phenotypic analysis of SlBEL2 overexpression (OE-SlBEL2) and SlBEL2 knockout (KO-SlBEL2) plants revealed that SlBEL2 has the function of inhibiting green shoulder formation in tomato fruits by affecting the development of fruit chloroplasts. Transcriptome profiling revealed that the expression of chloroplast-related genes such as SlGLK2 and SlLHCB1 changed significantly in the fruit of OE-SlBEL2 and KO-SlBEL2 plants. Further analysis showed that SlBEL2 could not only bind to the promoter of SlGLK2 to inhibit its transcription, but also interacted with the SlGLK2 protein to inhibit the transcriptional activity of SlGLK2 and its downstream target genes. SlGLK2 knockout (KO-SlGLK2) plants exhibited a complete absence of the green shoulder, which was consistent with the fruit phenotype of OE-SlBEL2 plants. SlBEL2 showed an expression gradient in fruits, in contrast with that reported for SlGLK2. In conclusion, our study reveals that SlBEL2 affects the formation of green shoulder in tomato fruits by negatively regulating the gradient expression of SlGLK2, thus providing new insights into the molecular mechanism of fruit green shoulder formation.
