BackgroundIntraventricular glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is extremely rare, especially in the trigone region. This report presents a case of trigone ventricular GBM with trapped temporal horn (TTH).Case presentationA 59-year-old woman was admitted to our department with a 1-month history of rapidly progressive headache, nausea, and weakness in the right lower extremity. Head non-contrast computed tomography and enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed a trigone ventricular mass lesion with TTH and heterogeneous enhancement. The lesion was found 18 months ago as a small asymptomatic tumor mimicking ependymoma. This neoplasm was removed subtotally through the right parieto-occipital approach guided by neuroendoscopy. A ventriculoperitoneal shunt was subsequently performed to relieve TTH. The final pathological diagnosis was GBM. Unfortunately, 36 days after the first surgery, the patient died due to her family’s decision to refuse therapy.ConclusionThis rare case shows that GBM should be considered in the differential diagnosis of trigonal tumors. In this case, the tumor possibly originated from the neural stem cells in the subventricular zone. Patients with intraventricular GBM have a worse prognosis, and careful follow-up and early surgery for small intraventricular tumors are necessary, even for those with ependymoma-like radiological findings.

The Gaofen-3 (GF-3) satellite is China's first civilian quad-polarized C-band imaging microwave satellite that can provide high-resolution marine and land observations. Also, it is China's first low Earth orbit remote sensing satellite with a design life of eight years. During the design and development of this satellite, many major challenges have been overcome, such as the design of complex radio frequency channels, difficult system integration, high quantitative requirements, and strict component life requirements. In this article, a series of independent technological innovations in the development of GF-3 is presented. Meanwhile, the on-orbit operation of the satellite in the past five years is introduced, as well as the application of satellite data in marine observation, emergency relief, disaster reduction, surveying and mapping, water conservancy, etc. The further advancement and improvements of the GF-3 satellite are described at the end of this article.

To realize high-precision detection of complex products in modern industrial field, a model of multi-degree of freedom joint acquisition system was established. A model of multi-degree of freedom acquisition system based on wide-spectrum phase-shifting interferometry was established, and the optical components in the system were designed. A multi-degree of freedom joint measuring algorithm was proposed based on phase-shifting interferometry, and rationality of the system was verified. The algorithm was implemented by physical and optical parameters. The results based on Simulink show that depth measurement accuracy is at the micron level, and measurement range is at the meter level; spectrum detection resolution is at the nanometer level, the measuring bandwidth is 300 nm, which covers the entire visible light area, and spectrum accuracy is 0.2 nm, error rate is less than 0.1%. The system meets the needs of high depth resolution, wide depth measuring range, high spectrum accuracy and high spectral resolution in modern industrial precision measurement.

Precipitation of intragranular acicular ferrite (IAF) is the principle means for increasing the strength of steel. This study investigated the three-dimensional morphology and growth behavior of IAF. Focused ion beam, confocal laser scanning microscopy and electron backscattered diffraction revealed that IAF had a plate-like morphology with numerous pits and defects when precipitated at 750 °C for 1 min and was needle-like with a smooth surface when precipitated at 700 °C for 1 min. Furthermore, sub-grains were observed within the IAF. This study elucidates more on the theoretical data of the IAF 3D morphology and provides novel insights into IAF.

Aiming at the shortcomings of low efficiency and poor accuracy of the existing pressure sensor pre-tightening parameter measurement system, an automatic multi-axis wrist force sensor pre-tightening parameter measurement system is designed. The multi-axis wrist force sensor module is used to collect real-time tension signal from the loaded hand wheel. After amplification, the signal is transmitted to the multi-channel gating module through RS485 communication module to realize the tested sensing. After fast switching and constant current source power supply control function, the data collector collects the pull signal obtained by multi-axis wrist force pressure sensor and transmits it to the upper computer of the system designed by LabVIEW through RS485 bus. The upper computer controls and collects the pressure sensor according to the pull signal feedback from the data collector, and the pre-tightening displacement of multi-axis wrist force sensor is determined by parameters such as axial displacement and friction resistance moment. The experimental results show that the designed system can fully measure the pre-tightening parameters of the sensor, and the starting moment measurement error is only 0.102%. The system can meet the requirements of batch measurement and calibration of multi-axis wrist force sensor with accuracy of 1%-0.1%.

Facile photorefractive (PR) composite films were prepared. As evidence of PR effect of the PR composite films, two-beam coupling (TBC) experiment were carried out at 633 nm wavelength. Interestingly, strong energy transfers appeared under zero external electric field (Eex). The highest TBC gain coefficient is up to 230.32 cm−1. The TBC gain coefficient increases with the increase of photosensitizer within certain range. The probable cause of PR effect under non-external electric field were proposed.

Herein, three photorefractive (PR) composite films were fabricated. They consist of poly (N-vinycarbazole) (PVK, 33 wt %), 2, 5-dimethyl-(4-p-nitrophenylazo) anisole (DMNPAA, 50 wt %), ethyl carbazole (ECZ, 16 wt %) and fullerene derivatives (1 wt %). The three fullerene derivatives [6, 6]-Phenyl-C61-butyric acid isopropyl ester (PCBIPE), [6, 6]-phenyl-C61-sec-butyl butyrate (PCSBB), and [6, 6]-phenyl-C61-phenethyl butyrate (PCPEB) were used as photosensitizer in the PR films. The PR composite films PVK/DMNPAA/ECZ/PCBIPE(33/50/16/1), PVK/DMNPAA/ECZ/PCSBB(33/50/16/1), and PVK/DMNPAA/ECZ/PCPEB(33/50/16/1) (in wt %) with a low glass transition temperature (21.3 ℃) can easily be fabricated into optically transparent films. The PR performances of the three PR composite films were investigated by two-beam coupling (TBC) experiment at 633 nm wavelength. The results illustrate that the TBC signals were observed under no external electric field or pre-poling condition. The maximum TBC gain of 43.90 cm−1 for PVK/DMNPAA/ECZ/PCPEB(33/50/16/1) PR composite films. The reason of TBC gain of PR materials at zero electric field was discussed.
