The purpose of this study is to obtain a bio-based coating with good functional activity and self-healing ability, demonstrating its potential in food, materials, and other application fields. Plastic coatings can cause serious environmental pollution. It was a good solution to replace plastic coatings with degradable coatings. However, the development of degradable coatings in the fields of food and materials was limited due to their insufficient antibacterial ability and weak comprehensive properties. Therefore, chitosan nanoparticles (NPs) loaded with gallic acid (GA) were self-assembled with gelatin (GE) to prepare high-performance, degradable, self-healing bio-based nanocomposite coatings with antibacterial and antioxidant properties. The oxygen permeability of GE nanocomposite coatings decreased gradually with the addition of NPs, and the barrier properties increased significantly. At the same time, due to the excellent antioxidant and antibacterial ability of GA, the antioxidant effect of the nanocomposite coatings increased by 119%, and the antibacterial rate against Escherichia coli (E. coli) and Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) increased by 32% and 58%, respectively, compared with the pure GE coatings. In addition, the nanocomposite coatings can be repaired within 24 h after being scratched at room temperature. Finally, GA coated with chitosan nanoparticles can significantly delay the escape of GA, and the retardation of gallic acid release exceeded 89% in simulated solutions after 24 h immersion, extending the service life of the nanocomposite coatings. In order to obtain the high performance output of DBR semiconductor laser, the grating pattern is photolithographed by electron beam exposure technique, and the grating structure is fabricated by combining inductively coupled plasma etching and other processes. By controlling the exposure dose of electron beam lithography and optimizing the graphic line width, a grating shape that meets the device fabrication requirements is finally obtained. The test results show that the grating line width meets the experimental requirements and the grating sidewall steepness is good; the reflectivity and other indicators meet the device fabrication requirements, laying the foundation for the performance optimization of high-power semiconductor lasers. Resonant ultrasound spectroscopy (RUS) is a nondestructive technique, and one of its applications is to determine the elastic constants of a solid by measuring its free-vibration resonant frequencies. For dissipative materials, the vibration spectrum peaks are broad and strongly overlapped, and in some cases, the resonant frequencies extracted by a linear prediction filter are considered to be false positive frequencies that cannot be paired with theoretical resonant frequencies. The inverse identification of elastic constants is also seriously influenced when these false positive frequencies are wrongly paired with theoretical resonant frequencies. In this paper, a new selection index and an extraction process for RUS resonant frequencies are studied to discard false positive frequencies. The change in the relative error between the theoretical and extracted frequencies was employed to update the traditional frequency selection index. An extraction process was proposed by combining a trial-and-error method and a Bayesian method. A bone-mimicking material (quality factor, Q ≈ 30) and the simulated resonant spectra were adopted to validate the proposed method. The performance of identifying false positive frequencies was effectively improved by using the new selection index. Moreover, the proposed process can be applied to enhance the pairing and estimation accuracy for RUS. Calculations of the elastic constants for distinct specimens presented good consistency. In the field of vision-based robot grasping, effectively leveraging RGB and depth information to accurately determine the position and pose of a target is a critical issue. To address this challenge, we proposed a tri-stream cross-modal fusion architecture for 2-DoF visual grasp detection. This architecture facilitates the interaction of RGB and depth bilateral information and was designed to efficiently aggregate multiscale information. Our novel modal interaction module (MIM) with a spatial-wise cross-attention algorithm adaptively captures cross-modal feature information. Meanwhile, the channel interaction modules (CIM) further enhance the aggregation of different modal streams. In addition, we efficiently aggregated global multiscale information through a hierarchical structure with skipping connections. To evaluate the performance of our proposed method, we conducted validation experiments on standard public datasets and real robot grasping experiments. We achieved image-wise detection accuracy of 99.4% and 96.7% on Cornell and Jacquard datasets, respectively. The object-wise detection accuracy reached 97.8% and 94.6% on the same datasets. Furthermore, physical experiments using the 6-DoF Elite robot demonstrated a success rate of 94.5%. These experiments highlight the superior accuracy of our proposed method. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Salinity stress severely hampers plant growth and productivity. How to improve plants' salt tolerance is an urgent issue. However, the molecular basis of plant resistance to salinity still remains unclear. In this study, we used two poplar species with different salt sensitivities to conduct RNA-sequencing and physiological and pharmacological analyses; the aim is to study the transcriptional profiles and ionic transport characteristics in the roots of the two Populus subjected to salt stress under hydroponic culture conditions. Our results show that numerous genes related to energy metabolism were highly expressed in Populus alba relative to Populus russkii, which activates vigorous metabolic processes and energy reserves for initiating a set of defense responses when suffering from salinity stress. Moreover, we found the capacity of Na+ transportation by the P. alba high-affinity K+ transporter1;2 (HKT1;2) was superior to that of P. russkii under salt stress, which enables P. alba to efficiently recycle xylem-loaded Na+ and to maintain shoot K+/Na+ homeostasis. Furthermore, the genes involved in the synthesis of ethylene and abscisic acid were up-regulated in P. alba but downregulated in P. russkii under salt stress. In P. alba, the gibberellin inactivation and auxin signaling genes with steady high transcriptions, several antioxidant enzymes activities (such as peroxidase [POD], ascorbate peroxidase [APX], and glutathione reductase [GR]), and glycine-betaine content were significantly increased under salt stress. These factors altogether confer P. alba a higher resistance to salinity, achieving a more efficient coordination between growth modulation and defense response. Ship instance segmentation in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images is a hard and challenging task, which not only locates ships but also obtains their shapes with pixel-level masks. However, in ocean SAR images, because of the consistent reflective intensities of ships, the appearances of different ships are similar, thus making it far too difficult to distinguish ships when they are in densely packed groups. Especially when ships have incline directions and large aspect ratios, the horizontal bounding boxes (HB-Boxes) used by all the instance-segmentation networks that we know so far inevitably contain redundant backgrounds, docks, and even other ships, which mislead the following segmentation. To solve this problem, a novel ship instance-segmentation network, called SRNet, is proposed with rotated bounding boxes (RB-Boxes), which are taken as the foundation of segmentation. Along the directions of ships, the RB-Boxes can surround the ships tightly, but a minor deviation will corrupt the integrity of the ships' masks. To improve the performance of the RB-Boxes, a dual feature alignment module (DAM) was designed to obtain the representative features with the direction and shape information of ships. On account of the difference between the classification task and regression task, two different sampling location calculation strategies were used in two convolutional kernels of the DAM, making these locations distributed dynamically on the ships' bodies and along the ships' boundaries. Moreover, to improve the effectiveness of training, a new adaptive Intersection-over-Union threshold (AIoU) was proposed based on the aspect-ratio information of ships to raise positive samples. To obtain the masks in the RB-Boxes, a new Mask-segmentation Head (MaskHead) with the twice sampling processes was explored. In experiments to evaluate the RB-Boxes, the accuracy of the RB-Boxes output from the Detection Head (DetHead) of SRNet outperformed eight rotated object-detection networks. In experiments to evaluate the final segmentation masks, compared with several classic and state-of-the-art instance-segmentation networks, our proposed SRNet achieved more accurate ship instance masks in SAR images. Jar burial is a particular burial practice generally used in the Neolithic period of China. However, the rarity of finding prenatal individuals limits the ability to study their treatment in jar burial contexts. In this paper, to study the postmortem treatment of this specific age further, we focus on three jar burials of infant individuals excavated in 2021 at the Gangshang site in China, where the skeletal remains were relatively well preserved. The skeletal remains of three well‐preserved individuals are presented into inverted ceramic tripods near the residential area and with a crouched posture. In terms of this condition, we apply the osteometric method to estimate the range and mean of age at death for each individual investigated. Meanwhile, we use micro‐computed tomography (CT) scans to help judge the degree of microbial bioerosion. Besides, histological analysis on skeletal remains combined with the Oxford Histological Index (OHI) assessment allows us to estimate the developmental stage at the time of death by analyzing the results of micro‐CT scans. By using osteometric methods, the results show that the gestational age of the three individuals is 22–26, 24–28, and 22–26 weeks, respectively. The results of the micro‐CT scans indicate that all three fetuses died shortly after birth, or had died in their mother's uterus before birth, with the OHI score of 5. Moreover, we indeed observe infant skeleton remains with no bacterial bioerosion, indicating that it is effective using this method to judge the developmental stage at the time of death with a specific taphonomic environment in the Gangshang site of the Dawenkou culture period. Combined with the placement of the jars in which the three infants were buried, it is believed that this unique placement method was intentional and specific to the infant deaths. These results are instructive for exploring the postmortem treatment of dead infants by ancient residents of the Dawenkou culture period (4200 bc–2600 bc) in Shandong Province, China, and the significance and possible causes of the unique burial type. Pulmonary fibrosis (PF) is a chronic, progressive, and fibrotic interstitial lung disease with a high mortality rate. Qi-Long-Tian (QLT) capsule is an herbal formula with great potential for antifibrotic effects, consisting of San Qi (Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Di Long [Pheretima aspergillum (E. Perrier)], and Hong Jingtian (Rhodiolae Crenulatae Radix et Rhizoma), and has been used in clinical practice for many years. To explore the relationship between the effects of Qi-Long-Tian capsule and gut microbiota of PF mice, pulmonary fibrosis model were established by tracheal drip injection of bleomycin. Thirty-six mice were randomly divided into 6 groups: control group (control), model group (model), QLT capsule low dose group (QL), QLT capsule medium dose group (QM), QLT capsule high dose group (QH), and pirfenidone group (PFD). After 21 days of treatment, after pulmonary function tests, the lung tissues, serums, and enterobacterial samples were collected for further analysis. HE staining and Masson’s staining were used to detect changes as the main indicators of PF in each group, and the expression of hydroxyproline (HYP) related to collagen metabolism was detected by and alkaline hydrolysis method. qRT-PCR and ELISA were used to detect the mRNA and protein expressions of pro-inflammatory factors include interleukin 1β (IL-1β), interleukin 6 (IL-6), transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1), tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α) in lung tissues and serums, and the inflammation-mediating factors include tight junction protein (ZO-1, Claudin, Occludin). ELISA was used to detect the protein expressions of secretory immunoglobulin A (sIgA), short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in colonic tissues. 16sRNA gene sequencing was used to detect changes in the abundance and diversity of intestinal flora in the control, model, and QM groups, to search for differential genera, and analyze the correlation with inflammatory factors. QLT capsule effectively improved the status of pulmonary fibrosis and reduced HYP. In addition, QLT capsule significantly reduced the abnormal levels of pro-inflammatory factors, including IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, and TGF-β in lung tissue and serum, while improving the levels of pro-inflammatory related factors ZO-1, Claudin, Occludin, sIgA, SCFAs, and reducing LPS in the colon. The comparison between the alpha diversity and beta diversity in enterobacteria suggested that the composition of the gut flora in the control, model, and QLT capsule groups were different. QLT capsule significantly increased the relative abundance of Bacteroidia (which might limit the onset of inflammation) and decreased the relative abundance of Clostridia (which might promote inflammation). In addition, these two enterobacteria were closely associated with pro-inflammatory-related indicators and pro-inflammatory factors in PF. All these results suggest that QLT capsule intervenes in pulmonary fibrosis by regulating the differential genera of intestinal flora, increasing immunoglobulin secretion, repairing the intestinal mucosal barrier, reducing LPS entry into the blood, and decreasing inflammatory factor secretion in the serum, which in turn alleviates pulmonary inflammation. This study clarifies the therapeutic mechanism of QLT capsule in PF and provides a theoretical basis for it. It provides a theoretical basis for its further clinical application. The ecological conservation and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin (YRB) has been declared as a major national strategy of China. Surface water availability (precipitation minus evapotranspiration, PME) poses challenges to the sustainability of ecosystems of the YRB. Noteworthy is that the Mongolian section of the YRB (IMYRB) is a critical ecological barrier in Northern China. Soil moisture (SM) changes are highly sensitive to PME and important for regional ecological security. However, SM vs. PME interactions and relevant mechanisms within the IMYRB are poorly understood. We found significant decreases in SM and PME over the east IMYRB (r = 0.7, p < 0.05). During the wet (July, August, and September) and dry (April, May, and June) seasons, as well as the whole year, decreased SM drives increased PME through land-atmosphere interactions over more than 90% of the IMYRB. Reduction in SM decreased evapotranspiration over more than 80% of the IMYRB, increased surface temperature across more than 79% of the IMYRB, boosted atmospheric vertical ascent over more than 75% of the IMYRB, and enhanced moisture convergence and PME. This study highlights the land-atmosphere interactions over the IMYRB, implicating basin-scale impacts of climatic changes on water resources. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Due to its quite high theoretical specific-energy density, FeF2 nanomaterial is a good candidate for the cathode material of high-energy lithium-ion batteries. The preparation of FeF2 nanomaterial is very important for its application. At present, the preparation process mostly involves high temperature and an inert atmosphere, which need special or expensive devices. It is very important to seek a low-temperature and mild method, without the need for high temperature and inert atmosphere, for the preparation and following application of FeF2 nanomaterial. This article reports a novel sugar-assisted solvothermal method in which the FeF3∙3H2O precursor is reduced into FeF2 nanomaterial by carbon derived from the dehydration and condensation of sugar. The obtained FeF2 nanomaterials are irregular granules of about 30 nm, with inner pores inside each granule. This paper introduces a distinctive perspective to describe and construct a new type of spatiotemporal optical field. Being different from the previous traditional wave packet obtained from the (3+1) D Schrödinger equation in the real space, the newly proposed nonclassical oblique Airy-Airy vortex (OAAV) wave packet located in the phase and momentum space is constructed based on the Wigner-distribution-function (Wdf) method. The spatiotemporal dynamics of the Wigner-distribution-function oblique Airy-Airy vortex (WdfOAAV) wave packet propagating in a dispersive chiral medium (DCM) are investigated from various aspects, including the targeted wave packet's nonclassicality, propagation properties, angular momentum density, and lateral optical force. It is found that the medium's chirality would remove the degeneracy of the propagation velocities in momentum space, which would result in the accelerated and decelerated wave packets propagating without diffusion within several Rayleigh lengths. The WdfOAAV wave packet associates the time-space optical field in the phase and momentum space with that in the real space, and offers the essential information about the joint spatial position and phase/momentum distribution in arbitrary real-space coordinates. Results obtained here might open a new perspective for the construction of a nonclassical spatiotemporal optical field and be applied in particle manipulation and versatile light bullets. The heavy-polluting industry is inexorably to responsible for the deterioration of the environment. Improving environmental performance is an unavoidable decision for heavy-polluting firms to ensure sustainable development under the policy framework of the carbon peak target. This study provides theoretical and empirical evidence for the effect of environmental protection subsidies on environmental performance. This study constructs basic and mediating effect models to measure how environmental protection subsidies affect environmental performance using panel data of China's heavy-polluting listed firms from 2008 to 2019. This is an important outcome of industrial green transformation in environmental governance and provides a scientific basis for government departments to formulate environmental policies. The results of the empirical analysis show that environmental protection subsidies can improve the environmental performance of heavy-polluting listed firms. After receiving environmental protection subsidies, firms engaged in clean and green production through green technology innovation, thereby reducing external environmental pollution and improving their environmental performance. The mediating role of green technology innovation in the relationship between environmental protection subsidies and environmental performance is significant only in state-owned firms and firms in Eastern China. The research results may further guide the direction of green development of heavy-polluting industries, and thus promote harmonious development between the environment and the economy. To determine whether prior penetrating keratoplasty (PK) in the contralateral eye increases risk of second eye PK graft rejection. Cohort study of 593 consecutive PKs in transplant-naïve eyes (500 unilateral cases, 93 second eyes). Outcomes were compared between PKs performed in eyes with versus without a history of prior contralateral eye PK. Risks of rejection and failure were estimated using Cox proportional hazards models. Mean age was 53.7 ± 23.3 years; average follow-up was 4.00 ± 2.87 years. Rejection occurred in 211 (35.6%) grafts. The incidence of rejection was 34.0% in unilateral cases and 44.1% in second eyes with PK in the contralateral eye. Prior contralateral PK was a significant risk factor for graft rejection (HR = 1.42, 95% CI 1.01–2.01, p =.045) Contralateral PK is associated with increased risk of second eye graft rejection. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory disease with persistent inflammation and progressive joint damage. However, the underlying pathological mechanisms of RA are still unclear. Fibroblast‑like synoviocytes (FLSs) play an important role in the pathogenesis of RA by the regulation of proliferation and apoptosis, and the release of multiple pro-inflammatory factors. The lipid mediator sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor 4 (S1PR4) is one of the sphingolipid sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P) receptors, which affects the function of immune cells. However, the role of S1PR4 in the activation of FLSs and the development of RA is unknown. In this study, we found that the expression of S1PR4 was significantly increased in RA-FLSs. The silence of S1PR4 decreases the proliferation, migration, proinflammation, and promotes the apoptosis of RA-FLSs, accompanied with repressing interleukin-17 (IL-17)/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) signal pathway. However, the regulatory effects of S1PR4 silencing on RA-FLSs were partly abolished by additional recombinant human (rh) IL-17A treatment. Therefore, our study demonstrated that S1PR4 silencing might inhibit proliferation, migration, proinflammation, and promote apoptosis of RA-FLSs partly by repressing IL-17, which suggests that inhibitors for S1PR4 might be a potentially promising strategy for the treatment of RA. S-doping emerged as a promising approach to further improve the catalytic performance of carbon-based materials for organic synthesis. Herein, a facile and gram-scale strategy was developed using zeolitic imidazole frameworks (ZIFs) as a precursor for the fabrication of the ZIF-derived N, S co-doped carbon-supported zinc single-atom catalyst (CNS@Zn1-AA) via the pyrolysis of S-doped ZIF-8, which was modified by aniline, ammonia and thiourea and prepared by one-pot ball milling at room temperature. This catalyst, in which Zn is dispersed as the single atom, displays superior activity in N-alkylation via the hydrogen-borrowing strategy (120 °C, turnover frequency (TOF) up to 8.4 h−1). S-doping significantly enhanced the catalytic activity of CNS@Zn1-AA, as it increased the specific surface area and defects of this material and simultaneously increased the electron density of Zn sites in this catalyst. Key message: OsPPR11 belongs to the P-type PPR protein family and can interact with OsCAF2 to regulate Group II intron splicing and affect chloroplast development in rice. Pentatricopeptide repeat (PPR) proteins participate in chloroplasts or mitochondria group II introns splicing in plants. The PPR protein family contains 491 members in rice, but most of their functions are unknown. In this study, we identified a nuclear gene encoding the P-type PPR protein OsPPR11 in chloroplasts. The qRT-PCR analysis demonstrated that OsPPR11 was expressed in all plant tissues, but leaves had the highest expression. The osppr11 mutants had yellowing leaves and a lethal phenotype that inhibited chloroplast development and photosynthesis-related gene expression and reduced photosynthesis-related protein accumulation in seedlings. Moreover, photosynthetic complex accumulation decreased significantly in osppr11 mutants. The OsPPR11 is required for ndhA, and ycf3-1 introns splicing and interact with CRM family protein OsCAF2, suggesting that these two proteins may form splicing complexes to regulate group II introns splicing. Further analysis revealed that OsCAF2 interacts with OsPPR11 through the N-terminus. The Earth's ionosphere can be described by a spherical harmonic (SH) expansion up to a specific degree. However, there exist negative vertical total electron content (VTEC) values in the global ionosphere map (GIM) with the SH expansion model. In this contribution, we specifically investigated the negative VTEC values that are induced by the SH expansion model and validated the performance of the inequality-constrained least squares (ICLS) method in eliminating the negative VTEC values. The GPS data from 2004 to 2017 was selected to cover one solar cycle and the experiments under different solar activity conditions were analyzed. The results in our work show that the occurrence of the negative VTEC values is attributed to the deficiency of the SH expansion model when the VTEC itself is small instead of the unevenly distribution of the GNSS stations. The negative VTEC values appear periodically in the temporal domain, showing apparently one year and half year periods. During one year, two peaks in June and December can be observed in the time series of the negative VTEC values. The number of negative VTEC values in June is obvious larger than that in December. During one solar cycle, the number of negative VTEC values under quiet solar activity condition is obvious larger than that under strong solar activity condition. In the spatial domain, the appearance of the negative VTEC values is strongly related with the movement of the subsolar point. In the latitude of the subsolar point has the largest magnitude, the negative values will appear on the opposite hemisphere and the further from the subsolar point the more negative values. The maximum number of the negative VTEC values in the southern hemisphere appears in June, while the peak value in the northern hemisphere appears in December. The maximum number of negative VTEC values in the southern hemisphere is generally larger than that in the northern hemisphere. In addition, the negative VTEC values are distributed both at middle latitude and high latitude in the southern hemisphere, while they are mainly distributed at high latitude in the northern hemisphere. When the ICLS method is used, the negative VTEC values can be eliminated efficiently and it has nearly no influence on the positive VTEC values. The ICLS method can also improve the receiver's differential code bias (DCB) and significantly decrease the unreasonable negative slant TEC (STEC) values along the lines of sight. Using the final GIM product of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPLG) as a reference, the root mean square (RMS) of the ICLS solution shows maximum 25%, 20% and 45% improvement relative to the least squares (LS) solution at northern high latitude, southern middle latitude and southern high latitude, respectively. A 2D stick model was developed to simulate sow walking on concrete floors. The model consisted of thirteen connective body joints to form a simple stick figure that approximates a sow's body skeleton. The video images of sows with reflective markers on their bodies walking along a corridor of concrete floor were analysed and translated into a 2D coordinate dataset. The motion of each landmark, including displacement, velocity and acceleration were calculated. A step of walking was modelled as three consecutive phases of motion: acceleration of foot leaving the ground; constant speed of foot swinging; and deceleration of foot touching the ground. One gait cycle was separated into several time steps and the movements of each joint at a time step in the horizontal (x) and vertical (y) directions were described by a combination of first and 2nd order polynomial functions. The coordinates of all joints were calculated in the x- and y-directions and these joints were then linked by synchronizing the motions of each joint at a given time step. The joint coordinates at each time step were then used to calculate a selected set of characteristic gait parameters, including the stride length and stance time for fore- and hindlimbs, diagonality, back angle and walking speed. Based on the comparisons of the predicted gait parameters between the lame and non-lame sows, the criteria were established for using the predicted gait parameters to detect sow lameness. Simultaneously enhancing the gas permeability, selectivity and aging stability of carbon molecular sieve membrane (CMSM) is extremely difficult. Facing such poser, a novel silicon doped CMSM at molecular level was prepared by copolymerizing siloxane with single Si– O –Si unit into the backbone of polyimide (PI). This can effectively avoid prior separated structure or multiple Si– O –Si structures and strongly alter the chains packing and thermostability of PI, finally determine the pore structure and thermodynamic behavior. The simple design adjustment simultaneously exhibits the triple enhanced effects on the gas permeability, selectivity and aging stability. The best molecule doped CMSM exhibits the ultra-high H 2 permeability (12482 Barrer, 87% higher), 26% higher H 2 /CH 4 selectivity, and 32% higher H 2 /N 2 selectivity than pure PI based CMSM. Additionally, such CMSM also has a much better aging stability than pure CMSM and most reported CMSMs. After stabilization, it still maintains a high H 2 permeability (8000 Barrer). And the hyper-aging CMSM also exhibits a good aging resistance showing a H 2 permeability of 5300 Barrer, as well as high selectivity of H 2 /CH 4 (125) and H 2 /N 2 (106) after 35 days. The stability of diamond/aluminum composite is of significant importance for its extensive application. In this paper, the interface of diamond/aluminum composite was modified by adding nanoscale W coating on diamond surface. We evaluated the corrosion rate of nanoscale W-coated and uncoated diamond/aluminum composite by a full immersion test and polarization curve test and clarified the corrosion products and corrosion mechanism of the composite. The introduction of W nanoscale coating effectively reduces the corrosion rate of the diamond/aluminum composite. After corrosion, the bending strength and thermal conductivity of the nanoscale W-coated diamond/aluminum composite are considerably higher than those of the uncoated diamond/aluminum composite. The corrosion loss of the material is mainly related to the hydrolysis of the interface product Al4C3, accompanied by the corrosion of the matrix aluminum. In the electrochemical reduction of CO2 to CO, controlling the binding of the *COOH intermediate is key to adjusting the selectivity and catalytic activity of the CO product. Herein, we report that CN vacancies were used to control the binding of the *COOH intermediate on a Co PBA-VCN catalyst treated by H2 cold plasma bombardment to improve the CO2RR into CO. The CN vacancies can tune the local electronic structure and coordination environment of CoIII-CN-CoII (Co-PBA-VCN) with a high CO faradaic efficiency close to 100% with remarkable durability (>87 h), and a low onset overpotential of 0.17 V in CO2RR. The steric effects of the VCN can decrease the free energy barrier of the rate limiting step for the formation of *COOH which can further crack into *CO on the active site of the Co near the VCN. This work provides a new strategy to tune the binding of the *COOH intermediate on the catalyst surface by new vacancies of VCN to enhance the CO2RR into a single product. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Evapotranspiration (ET) is an essential component of the land–atmosphere water cycle. In this work, the trend of ET and its dominant factors during 1982 to 2011 are investigated in the northern drought-prone belt of China (NDPB) based on five datasets, including the gridded FLUXNET, using the Pearson correlation and linear regression methods. Specially, we focus on the increasing contribution of vegetation in the change of ET. During 1982–2011, summer ET significantly increased at the rate of 0.33 mm/year (p < 0.05) in the NDPB. However, similar to global-mean ET, the ET in NDPB also experienced a pronounced fluctuation during 1999 and 2002. The role of water supply differed remarkably before and after the fluctuation while the atmospheric demand maintained weak constraint on ET. Before the fluctuation (during 1982–2000), ET correlated significantly (p < 0.01) and positively with soil moisture, indicating ET was primarily limited by water supply. However, their correlation weakened remarkably after the fluctuation when soil moisture decreased to the lowest level for the past thirty years, indicating that neither moisture supply nor atmospheric demand dominated the ET during this period. In contrast, vegetation leaf area index (LAI) maintained consistent significant (p < 0.01) and positive correlation with ET before and after the fluctuation in the NDPB, and it reflected over 60% of the change in ET. Moreover, the LAI in NDPB increased by 19.6% which was more than double of the global-mean increase. The ET increase due to rising LAI offset the ET decrease due to reduction of soil moisture, and vegetation became the primary constraint on ET during 2001–2011. The expansion of vegetation may intensify the risk of drought and cause conflicting demands for water between the ecosystem and humans in the NDPB, especially in the case of weak summer monsoon. Background: Metabolic reprogramming is a hallmark of cancer. Metabolic rate‐limiting enzymes and oncogenic c‐Myc (Myc) play critical roles in metabolic reprogramming to affect tumourigenesis. However, a systematic assessment of metabolic rate‐limiting enzymes and their relationship with Myc in human cancers is lacking. Methods: Multiple Pan‐cancer datasets were used to develop the transcriptome, genomic alterations, clinical outcomes and Myc correlation landscapes of 168 metabolic rate‐limiting enzymes across 20 cancers. Real‐time quantitative PCR and immunoblotting were, respectively, used to examine the mRNA and protein of inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase 1 (IMPDH1) in human colorectal cancer (CRC), azoxymethane/dextran sulphate sodium‐induced mouse CRC and spontaneous intestinal tumours from APCMin/+ mice. Clone formation, CCK‐8 and subcutaneous xenograft model were applied to investigate the possible mechanisms connecting IMPDH1 to CRC growth. Co‐immunoprecipitation and protein half‐life assay were used to explore the mechanisms underlying the regulation of IMPDH1. Results: We explored the global expression patterns, dysregulation profiles, genomic alterations and clinical relevance of 168 metabolic rate‐limiting enzymes across human cancers. Importantly, a series of enzymes were associated with Myc, especially top three upregulated enzymes (TK1, RRM2 and IMPDH1) were positively correlated with Myc in multiple cancers. As a proof‐of‐concept exemplification, we demonstrated that IMPDH1, a rate‐limiting enzyme in GTP biosynthesis, is highly upregulated in CRC and promotes CRC growth in vitro and in vivo. Mechanistically, IMPDH2 stabilizes IMPDH1 by decreasing the polyubiquitination levels of IMPDH1, and Myc promotes the de novo GTP biosynthesis by the transcriptional activation of IMPDH1/2. Finally, we confirmed that the Myc–IMPDH1/2 axis is dysregulated across human cancers. Conclusions: Our study highlights the essential roles of metabolic rate‐limiting enzymes in tumourigenesis and their crosstalk with Myc, and the Myc–IMPDH1/2 axis promotes tumourigenesis by altering GTP metabolic reprogramming. Partial melting has been shown to be an important mechanism for intracrustal differentiation and granite petrogenesis. However, a series of compositional differences between granitic melt from experiments and natural granites indicate that the processes of crustal differentiation are complex. To shed light on factors that control the processes of crustal differentiation, and then the compositions of granitic magma, a combined study of petrology and geochemistry was carried out for granites (in the forms of granitic veins and parautochthonous granite) from a granulite terrane in the Tongbai orogen, China. These granites are characterized by high SiO2 (>72 wt%) and low FeO and MgO (<4 wt%) with low Na2O/K2O ratios (<0.7). Minerals in these granites show variable microstructures and compositions. Phase equilibrium modelling using P–T pseudosections shows that neither anatectic melts nor fractionated melts match the compositions of the target granites, challenging the conventional paradigm that granites are the crystallized product of pure granitic melts. Based on the microstructural features of minerals in the granites, and a comparison of their compositions with crystallized minerals from anatectic melts and minerals in granulites, the minerals in these granitoids are considered to have three origins. The first is entrained garnets, which show comparable compositions with those in host granulites. The second is early crystallized mineral from melts, which include large plagioclase and K‐feldspar (with high Ca contents) crystals as well as a part of biotite whose compositions can be reproduced by crystallization of the anatectic melts. The compositions of other minerals such as small grained plagioclase, K‐feldspar and anorthoclase in the granites with low Ca contents are not well reconstructed, so they are considered as the third origin of crystallized products of fractionated melts. The results of mass balance calculation show that the compositions of these granites can be produced by mixing between different proportions of crystallized minerals and fractionated melts with variable amounts of entrained minerals. However, the calculated modal proportions of different crystallized minerals (plagioclase, K‐feldspar, biotite and quartz) in the granites are significantly different from those predicted by melt crystallization modelling. Specifically, some rocks have lower modes of biotite and plagioclase, whereas others show lower K‐feldspar modes than those produced by melt crystallization. This indicates that the crystallized minerals would be differentially separated from the primary magmas to form the evolved magmas that produce these granites. Therefore, the crystal entrainment and differential melt‐crystal separation make important contributions to the composition of the target granites. Compared with leucogranites worldwide, the target granites show comparable compositions. Heatwaves have afflicted human health, ecosystem, and socioeconomy and are expected to intensify under warming climate. However, few efforts have been directed to moist heat stress (MHS) considering relative humidity and wind speed, and moist heat stress risk (MHSR) considering exposure and vulnerability. Here we showed MHS and MHSR variations across China during 1998–2100 using China Meteorological Administration Land Data Assimilation System datasets, the 6th Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP6) merged datasets, Gross Domestic Product, population and leaf area index. We detected increased MHS across China under different Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSPs). Specifically, the historical MHS occurred mostly during mid-July to mid-August. We found increasing trends of 0.08%/year, 0.249%/year, and 0.669%/year in the MHS-affected areas under SSP126, SSP245, and SSP585, respectively. Furthermore, we observed the highest increasing rate of MHSR in Northwest and Southwest China, while the MHSR across Northeast and North China under SSP126 shifted from increasing to decreasing trends. Noteworthy is that the increasing trend of MHSR under SSP585 is 1.5–2.6 times larger than that under SSP245, especially in North and South China. Curcumin is one of the most studied chemo-preventive agents, which may cause suppression, retardation, or inversion of carcinogenesis. But its application is currently limited because of its poor water-solubility and bioaccessibility. A curcumin O/W emulsion was prepared by high-pressure homogenization, using triglyceride monolaurate as an emulsifier and medium chain triglycerides (MCT) as the oil phase. The effects of emulsifiers, emulsifier concentration, oil type, oil-to-water ratio, and homogenization pressure and processing cycles on the physical stability and droplet size distribution of curcumin-encapsulated O/W emulsions were evaluated in this study. The results showed that the mean droplet size of the O/W emulsions remained remarkably stable during 60 days of storage under both light and dark conditions. Curcumin retentions in O/W emulsions after 60 days of storage under light and dark conditions were 97.9% and 81.6%, respectively. In addition, during the simulated gastrointestinal digestion process, the mean droplet size of the O/W emulsions increased from 260 nm to 2743 nm after incubation with simulated gastric fluid (SGF) for 24 h, while the mean droplet size remained unchanged after incubation with simulated intestinal fluid (SIF). The results displayed negligible changes in curcumin content during incubation with simulated gastrointestinal fluids, indicating that effective protection of curcumin was achieved by encapsulation in the O/W emulsion. The extraction, characterization and antioxidant activity of polysaccharides from Choerospondias axillaris leaves were investigated in the present study. Two purified polysaccharide fractions, CALP-1 and CALP-2, were isolated from crude Choerospondias axillaris leaf polysaccharides (CALP) by DEAE-52 cellulose chromatography and Sephadex G-100 column chromatography. The characteristics of CAL-1 and CALP-2 were determined by using High-performance Gel Permeation Chromatography (HPGPC), High-Performance Anion-Exchange Chromatography, HPAEC (HPAEC-PAD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). CALP-1 with molecular weight of 11.20 KDa was comprised of Rhamnose, Arabinose, Galactose, Glucose, Xylose, Mannose and galacturonic acid in a molar ratio of 5.16:2.31:5.50:27.18:1.00:0.76:1.07. CAL-2 with molecular weight of 8.03 KDa consisted of Rhamnose, Arabinose, Galactose, Glucose, and galacturonic acid at a ratio of 1.38:3.63:18.84:8.28:1.45. FTIR revealed that CALP-1 and CALP-2 were acidic polysaccharides. The antioxidant activity of crude CALP, CALP-1 and CALP-2 was evaluated in vitro. The fraction CALP-2 was demonstrated to be of polysaccharide nature containing a large percentage of Galactose but no Xylose and Mannose. The antioxidant activity assays showed that CALP-1 and CALP-2 exhibited antioxidant and scavenging activities on hydroxyl and DPPH radicals in vitro. Compared with pure polysaccharide, crude CALP exhibited stronger anti-oxidant activities. These results will provide a better understanding of Choerospondias axillaris leaf polysaccharide and promote the potential applications of Choerospondias axillaris leaf polysaccharide in the pharmacological field and as a natural antioxidant. This study provides evidence for the supply network position influencing innovation performance and the moderating effect of digital transformation. Supply chain relationships have been evaluated in earlier research to demonstrate how concentrations of customers and suppliers may either favorably or adversely impact innovation. These metrics, however, only take into account how closely a firm is connected to its direct customers or suppliers. This study integrates the top five suppliers and customers of Chinese listed manufacturing firms and considers the relationship embeddedness of each firm's direct customers and suppliers, as well as the structure embeddedness among the customers' customers, customers' suppliers, suppliers' customers, and suppliers' suppliers to reveal the true impact of supply chain relationships on innovation performance. The top five suppliers and consumers of each firm are chosen to build a supply network for each year using panel data of listed Chinese manufacturing firms from 2013 to 2020. Social network analysis is used to determine network centrality and structural holes. The results show that in the supply network, network centrality and structural holes are significantly negatively correlated with innovation performance, especially in small and medium-sized firms, non-state-owned firms, and firms in recession phase. According to the moderating effect model, digital transformation is an efficient way to reduce the negative effect of supply network position on innovation performance. Background: Several metabolic disorders and malignancies are directly related to abnormal mitochondrial solute carrier family 25 (SLC25A) members activity. However, its biological role in pancreatic cancer (PC) is not entirely understood. Methods: The lasso method was used to create a novel prognostic risk model for PC based on SLC25A members, and its roles in tumor immunology and energy metabolism were explored. Furthermore, co-expression networks were constructed for SLC25A11, SLC25A29, and SLC25A44. Single-cell RNA sequencing (ScRNA-seq) revealed the distribution of gene expression in PC. Tumor immune infiltration was examined with the TIMER database. Lastly, drug sensitivity was investigated, and co-transcriptional factors were predicted. Results: In the present study, a novel prognostic risk model was established and validated for PC based on SLC25A members. The high-risk group had a lower activation of oxidative phosphorylation and a more abundant immune infiltration phenotype than the low-risk group. According to co-expression network studies, SLC25A11, SLC25A29, and SLC25A44 were involved in the energy metabolism of PC and prevented tumor growth, invasion, and metastasis. ScRNA-seq research also pointed to their contribution to the tumor microenvironment. Moreover, the recruitment of numerous immune cells was positively correlated with SLC25A11 and SLC25A44 but negatively correlated with SLC25A29. Additionally, the sensitivity to 20 Food and Drug Administration-approved antineoplastic medicines was strongly linked to the aforementioned genes, where cisplatin sensitivity increased with the up-regulation of SLC25A29. Finally, the Scleraxis BHLH Transcription Factor (SCX) and other proteins were hypothesized to co-regulate the mRNA transcription of the genes. Conclusion: SLC25A members are crucial for tumor immune and energy metabolism in PC, and SLC25A11, SLC25A29, and SLC25A44 can be used as favorable prognostic markers. Aim: This study aimed to investigate the distribution patterns of plant diversity in Kenya, how climatic fluctuations and orogeny shaped them, and the formation of its β‐diversity. Location: Kenya, East Africa. Taxon: Angiosperms. Methods: We quantified patterns of turnover and nestedness components of phylogenetic β‐diversity for angiosperm species among neighbouring sites using a well‐resolved phylogenetic tree and extensive distribution records from public databases and other published sources. We applied clustering methods to delineate biota based on pairwise similarities among multiple sites and used a random assembly null model to assess the effects of species abundance distribution on phylogenetic β‐diversity. Results: The phylogenetic turnover of the Kenyan flora, intersecting with the biodiversity hotspots Eastern Afromontane, Coastal Forests of Eastern Africa, and Horn of Africa, shows a non‐monotonic pattern along a latitudinal gradient that is strongly structured into volcanic and coastal areas. The other areas are mainly dominated by phylogenetic nestedness, even in the eastern part of the equatorial region parallel to the volcanic area. Phylogenetic diversity and phylogenetic structure analyses explain the mechanism of the observed phylogenetic turnover and nestedness patterns. We identified five phytogeographical regions in Kenya: the Mandera, Turkana, Volcanic, Pan Coastal and West Highland Regions. Conclusions: Variations in turnover gradient and coexistence are highly dependent on the regional biogeographical history resulting from climatic fluctuations and long‐lasting orogeny, which jointly shaped the biodiversity patterns of the Kenyan flora. The nestedness component dominated climatically unstable regions and is presumed to have been caused by heavy local species extinction and recolonization from the Volcanic Region. Iron(II) fluoride (FeF2) is a promising candidate as the cathode material for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) due to its quite high theoretical energy density compared with the commercial cathode materials like LiCoO2 and its abundance. However, the actual energy density of various FeF2 materials nowadays is lower than the theoretical one. The actual energy density is largely determined by its conversion process, in which the transportation and migration of lithium ion (Li+) and electron play a vital role. The completeness of the Li+ and electron transport determines the completeness of the conversion process and further determines the capacity, while the ease of Li+ migration determines the conversion potential. This review is divided into four parts to introduce the Li+ and electron transport, from the aspects of barrier, stability, constructing method, and influence factors, in various existing "FeF2 materials-electrolyte" systems. The four parts are Li+ and electron transport or Li+ migration within a FeF2 particle, electron transport between FeF2 particles, Li+ transport from the electrolyte to FeF2, and the amount of Li+ that can transport. Soybean mosaic virus (SMV) has threatened the global yield of Leguminosae crops, but the mechanism of its infection, spread, and evolution remains unknown. A systemic analysis of 107 SMV strains was performed to explore the genome-wide codon usage profile and the various factors influencing the codon usage patterns of SMV, which provides insight into its molecular evolution and elucidates its unknown host adaptation pattern. The overall nucleotide composition and correlation analysis revealed that the preferred synonymous codons mostly end with A/U. Clustering by RSCU value of each strain and phylogenetic tree analysis showed that the SMV isolates studied were divided into four clades, with a low overall extent of codon usage bias (CUB) in SMV. According to the ENC, PR2, neutrality plot, and correspondence analysis, natural selection of geographical diversity may play a critical role in the CUB. Higher adaptability was shown in Glycine with SMV and more pressure was received by clade III. Current research on airborne transmission of African swine fever virus (ASFV), porcine epidemic diarrhoea virus (PEDV), avian influenza (AIV), porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV), and foot and mouth disease virus (FMDV) was reviewed to evaluate commonalities, knowledge gaps, and methodologies of studying airborne transmission of animal diseases. The reviewed studies were categorised as short-range transmission (within a single facility) and long-range transmission (beyond a single site). Short-range airborne transmission was demonstrated for at least one strain of the above-mentioned pathogens in experimental settings. Most studies reported in the literature concern FMDV, with limited information for ASFV and PEDV, particularly for short-range airborne transmission. Air sampling upwind, downwind, and within infected facilities has been commonly used to demonstrate long-range airborne transmission. The amount of evidence from air sampling for each of the reviewed viruses varies from no evidence on ASFV to evidence from multiple settings for AIV. Computer modelling has been used to study past outbreaks of infectious diseases to assess the contribution of airborne transmission with a multitude of computer models reported in the literature for simulating long-range airborne transmission of FMDV based on past outbreaks. This has resulted in predictive tools for assessing future risk of airborne transmission. Some important computer models are based on epidemiology analysis, weather analysis, and air dispersion. Few models are reported for ASFV, PEDV, and PRRSV. Studies in the literature indicate that airborne transmission is generally affected by virus strain, aerosol type, shedding duration and concentration, environmental conditions, and infectious dose. In the present work, a textured Ti 3 AlC 2 /TiAl 3 /Al composite with anisotropic microstructures and properties was successfully prepared by combining multistep ball-milling, flaky powder self-assembly, spark plasma sintering (SPS), and in-situ reaction. The effects of phase constitution and crystallographic orientation on anisotropic strengthening and fracture mechanisms of the composite were discussed. The results show that the preferred orientation of Ti 3 AlC 2 flakes was achieved during densification with the Lotgering orientation factor of the textured top surface (TTS) of 0.58. The high surface energy of Ti 3 AlC 2 submicron flakes provided the driving force for the low-temperature in-situ formation of TiAl 3. The in-situ formed TiAl 3 further improved the strength of the composite. The// c -axis samples achieved a high flexural strength of 565.9 MPa. The analysis of the flexural fracture surfaces shows that the fracture modes of Ti 3 AlC 2 flakes include basal plane cleavage, delamination, kinking, particle pull-out, and prismatic plane fracture, which in turn affects the toughness of the samples with different loading directions. Particle pull-out of the Ti 3 AlC 2 flakes is the primary mechanism to improve the toughness. This novel technical route provides a new idea for the design of metal matrix composites. Background: Myocardial scars are assessed noninvasively using cardiovascular magnetic resonance late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) as an imaging gold standard. A contrast-free approach would provide many advantages, including a faster and cheaper scan without contrast-associated problems.Methods: Virtual native enhancement (VNE) is a novel technology that can produce virtual LGE-like images without the need for contrast. VNE combines cine imaging and native T1 maps to produce LGE-like images using artificial intelligence. VNE was developed for patients with previous myocardial infarction from 4271 data sets (912 patients); each data set comprises slice position-matched cine, T1 maps, and LGE images. After quality control, 3002 data sets (775 patients) were used for development and 291 data sets (68 patients) for testing. The VNE generator was trained using generative adversarial networks, using 2 adversarial discriminators to improve the image quality. The left ventricle was contoured semiautomatically. Myocardial scar volume was quantified using the full width at half maximum method. Scar transmurality was measured using the centerline chord method and visualized on bull's-eye plots. Lesion quantification by VNE and LGE was compared using linear regression, Pearson correlation (R), and intraclass correlation coefficients. Proof-of-principle histopathologic comparison of VNE in a porcine model of myocardial infarction also was performed.Results: VNE provided significantly better image quality than LGE on blinded analysis by 5 independent operators on 291 data sets (all P<0.001). VNE correlated strongly with LGE in quantifying scar size (R, 0.89; intraclass correlation coefficient, 0.94) and transmurality (R, 0.84; intraclass correlation coefficient, 0.90) in 66 patients (277 test data sets). Two cardiovascular magnetic resonance experts reviewed all test image slices and reported an overall accuracy of 84% for VNE in detecting scars when compared with LGE, with specificity of 100% and sensitivity of 77%. VNE also showed excellent visuospatial agreement with histopathology in 2 cases of a porcine model of myocardial infarction.Conclusions: VNE demonstrated high agreement with LGE cardiovascular magnetic resonance for myocardial scar assessment in patients with previous myocardial infarction in visuospatial distribution and lesion quantification with superior image quality. VNE is a potentially transformative artificial intelligence-based technology with promise in reducing scan times and costs, increasing clinical throughput, and improving the accessibility of cardiovascular magnetic resonance in the near future. Background: Improving the prediction ability of a human-machine interface (HMI) is critical to accomplish a bio-inspired or model-based control strategy for rehabilitation interventions, which are of increased interest to assist limb function post neurological injuries. A fundamental role of the HMI is to accurately predict human intent by mapping signals from a mechanical sensor or surface electromyography (sEMG) sensor. These sensors are limited to measuring the resulting limb force or movement or the neural signal evoking the force. As the intermediate mapping in the HMI also depends on muscle contractility, a motivation exists to include architectural features of the muscle as surrogates of dynamic muscle movement, thus further improving the HMI's prediction accuracy. Objective: The purpose of this study is to investigate a non-invasive sEMG and ultrasound (US) imaging-driven Hill-type neuromuscular model (HNM) for net ankle joint plantarflexion moment prediction. We hypothesize that the fusion of signals from sEMG and US imaging results in a more accurate net plantarflexion moment prediction than sole sEMG or US imaging. Methods: Ten young non-disabled participants walked on a treadmill at speeds of 0.50, 0.75, 1.00, 1.25, and 1.50 m/s. The proposed HNM consists of two muscle-tendon units. The muscle activation for each unit was calculated as a weighted summation of the normalized sEMG signal and normalized muscle thickness signal from US imaging. The HNM calibration was performed under both single-speed mode and inter-speed mode, and then the calibrated HNM was validated across all walking speeds. Results: On average, the normalized moment prediction root mean square error was reduced by 14.58 % ( p = 0.012 ) and 36.79 % ( p < 0.001 ) with the proposed HNM when compared to sEMG-driven and US imaging-driven HNMs, respectively. Also, the calibrated models with data from the inter-speed mode were more robust than those from single-speed modes for the moment prediction. Conclusions: The proposed sEMG-US imaging-driven HNM can significantly improve the net plantarflexion moment prediction accuracy across multiple walking speeds. Childhood obesity remains one of the most important issues in global health, which is implicated in many chronic diseases. Converging evidence suggests that a higher body mass index during childhood (CBMI) is significantly associated with increased coronary artery disease (CAD) susceptibility in adulthood, which may partly arise from the shared genetic determination. Despite genome-wide association studies (GWASs) have successfully identified some loci associated with CBMI and CAD individually, the genetic overlap and common biological mechanism between them remains largely unexplored. Here, relying on the results from the two large-scale GWASs (n = 35,668 for CBMI and n = 547,261 for CAD), linkage disequilibrium score regression (LDSC) was used to estimate the genetic correlation of CBMI and CAD in the first step. Then, we applied different pleiotropy-informed methods including conditional false discovery rate (cFDR ) and genetic analysis incorporating pleiotropy and annotation (GPA) to detect potentially common loci for childhood obesity and CAD. By integrating the genetic information from the existing GWASs summary statistics, we found a significant positive genetic correlation ( r g = 0.127, p = 2E−4) and strong pleiotropic enrichment between CBMI and CAD (LRT = 79.352, p = 5.2E−19). Importantly, 28 loci were simultaneously discovered to be associated with CBMI, and 13 of them were identified as potentially pleiotropic loci by cFDR and GPA. Those corresponding pleiotropic genes were enriched in trait-associated gene ontology (GO) terms "amino sugar catabolic process", "regulation of fat cell differentiation" and "synaptic transmission". Overall, the findings of the pleiotropic loci will help to further elucidate the common molecular mechanisms underlying the association of childhood obesity and CAD, and provide a theoretical direction for early disease prevention and potential therapeutic targets. A novel and highly efficient dual-targeting PtII system was designed to improve the drug delivery capacity and selectivity in cancer treatment. The dual-targeting monofunctional PtII complexes (1–8) having glycosylated pendants as tridentated ligand were achieved by introducing glycosylation modification in the thioaminocarbazone compounds with potential lysosomal targeting ability. The structures and stability of 1–8 were further established by various techniques. Molecular docking studies showed that 2 was efficiently docked into glucose transporters protein 1 (GLUT1) and P-glycoprotein (Pgp) proteins with the optimal CDocker-interaction-energy of −64.84 and −48.85 kcal mol−1. Complex 2 with higher protein binding capacity demonstrated significant and broad-spectrum antitumor efficacy in vitro, even exhibiting a half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) value (∼10 μM) than cisplatin (∼17 μM) against human lung adenocarcinoma cells (A549). The inhibitor experiment revealed GLUT-mediated uptake of 2, and the subcellular localization experiment in A549 also proved that 2 could be localized in the lysosome, thereby causing cell apoptosis. Moreover, cellular thermal shift assay (CETSA) confirmed the binding of 2 with the target proteins of GLUT1 and Pgp. Structure unit type is the most important factor for the mechanical properties and permeability of biomedical porous scaffolds. Therefore, in this work, four kinds of commonly used structure units including three periodic minimal surface (Primitive (P) and Gyroid (G) structures), body-centered cubic (BCC) and diamond (D) structures were chosen to design the structure units and porous scaffolds with the same porosity, and the mechanical and permeability of the structure units and scaffolds were systematically analyzed by using the finite element method. The results show that the elastic modulus of scaffolds decreases with the increase of porosity, and the order of elastic modulus is: P > D > G > BCC structure. P structure unit and porous scaffolds exhibit the best deformation resistance, but the structures have the most severe stress concentration at the joints. BCC structure unit and porous scaffolds have the worst deformation resistance, and the stress concentration at the joints is also obvious. Fluid simulation shows that the porous scaffolds exhibit good permeability and can meet the requirements for the use of biomedical porous scaffolds. Alternate wetting and drying irrigation is a widely used irrigation method for water‐savings and high‐yielding in rice (Oryza sativa L.) production; however, its effect on grain yield (GY) in the main and ratoon crops is unclear. With two rice cultivars as materials, the effects on GY in the main and ratoon crop of three irrigation regimes, that is, conventional flooding irrigation (CI), alternate wetting and moderate soil drying irrigation (WMD), and alternate wetting and severe soil drying irrigation (WSD), during grain filling of the main crop were investigated. Compared with CI, WMD increased GY by 6.0∼6.5% in the main crop by increasing the 1,000‐grain weight and filled grain rate, whereas the ratoon crop GY increased by 13.3∼14.6% via increased panicle number. The WSD had no significant effects on the main crop GY, but significantly decreased ratoon crop GY by decreasing panicle number. A higher leaf photosynthetic rate, leaf area index, root oxidation activity, dry matter accumulation and nonstructural carbohydrate (NSC) translocation under WMD primarily drove the increased 1,000‐grain weight and filled grain rate in the main crop. Under WMD, higher soluble sugar contents catalysed by high amylase activity and higher zeatin + zeatin riboside in stems of the main crop promoted the growth of regenerated buds and increased the ratoon crop panicle number. In conclusion, WMD during grain filling of the main crop improved the growth and development of the main crop and promote the germination of regenerated buds, thereby increasing the GY of both main and ratoon crops. It is highly challenging to fabricate bioceramic scaffolds mimicking architecture and mechanical strength of cancellous bone. Gyroid structure, which is based on triply periodic minimal surface, highly resembles the architecture of cancellous bone. Herein, β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP) bioceramic scaffolds with gyroid structure were fabricated by stereolithography (SLA) 3D printing. The SLA 3D printing ensured high precision of ceramic part. The porosity (51–87%), pore size (250 – 2400 µm), pore wall thickness (< 300 µm) and compressive strength (0.6 – 16.8 MPa) of gyroid bioceramic scaffolds were readily adjusted to match various sites of cancellous bone. The gyroid bioceramic scaffolds were more favorable for cell proliferation than the grid-like bioceramic scaffolds. The anhysteretic remanent magnetization (ARM) is an important magnetic parameter for quantifying the concentration of "fine", mostly sub‐micron ferrimagnetic particles in rocks and sediments. A sound understanding of ARM carriers is needed to interpret magnetic and environmental information in sedimentary archives. This is often not achieved for marine sediments, which routinely contain several magnetic mineral components. Here, we analyze marine sediment records over different timescales for four sediment cores from the Eastern Pacific Ocean (Hole 1218A), the Antarctic margin (core P4‐1), the Arctic Ocean (core ARC5‐ICE4), and the South China Sea (core L07), using coercivity spectra analyses of ARM, first‐order reversal curve principal component analysis (FORC‐PCA), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and unmixing of isothermal remanent magnetization (IRM) curves. By combining rock magnetic and TEM results, we find that the ARM is mainly carried by non‐interacting single domain (SD) biogenic magnetite (magnetofossils) in the studied sediments over all timescales. Low‐coercivity magnetic particles (detrital and fine‐grained extracellular magnetite) also contribute to the bulk ARM. Variable magnetofossil chain structures are detected and have a significant influence on ARM data interpretation. Quantitative FORC‐PCA endmember analyses based on quantile contours and coercivity distributions provide valuable information on the nature of endmembers and improve ARM data interpretation. We provide an integrated strategy to help reduce interpretational ambiguities related to ARM in future studies. To interpret ARM signals robustly, we must understand the sedimentary magnetic minerals that control ARM changes. However, the origin of ARM changes in marine sediments is not well understood. Here, we analyze marine sediment records from the Eastern Pacific Ocean, the Antarctic margin, the Arctic Ocean, and the South China Sea to identify the carriers of ARM in the respective sediments. Our results indicate that all of the sediments contain abundant remains of magnetotactic bacteria (known as magnetofossils). Magnetofossil abundance variations dominate ARM on both 10,000 to million‐year timescales. Part of the bulk ARM is also contributed by other low‐coercivity magnetite particles. Furthermore, ARM is influenced significantly by magnetofossil chain structure variations. Our results have important implications for future studies involving use of ARM in magnetofossil‐rich sediments. By designing a tetraphenylethylene (TPE)‐based AIEgen‐ligand with reduced symmetry, we obtained two alkaline‐earth metal‐based MOFs (LIFM‐102 and LIFM‐103) with dense packing structures and low porosity as proved by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction and CO2 sorption data. Excitingly, the desolvated MOFs with rigid environment and reduced lattice free solvent exhibit high quantum yields (QY, 64.9 % and 79.4 %) and excellent two‐photon excited photoluminescence (TPA cross‐sections, 2946.6 GM and 2899.0 GM), while maintaining the external‐stimuli‐responsive properties suitable for anticounterfeit fields. The effect of ligand conformation was validated by comparing the structure and fluorescence properties of the samples before and after desolvation and further verified by theoretical calculations. The era of big data and cloud computing has come, communication between different languages is becoming more and more common, and the barriers between languages are becoming more and more prominent. As the most important means to overcome language barriers, machine translation will play an increasingly important role in modern society. The previous machine translation technology has more or less disadvantages. The accuracy of translation is too low, which is a huge bottleneck hindering the further development of machine translation technology. Therefore, based on this, we can consider modeling the cross-context accurate English translation model based on the machine translation model and rely on the working principle of machine learning. This experiment shows that the translation accuracy of our method reaches 94.2%, which is higher than 39.5% of the benchmark method. This shows that the method in this paper can reduce the influence of other factors, ensure the accuracy of cross-context English translation to a certain extent, and meet the performance improvement requirements of the English translation system. Backgroundand Objective. Poststroke dysphagia is one of the most common stroke complications with high morbidity and long course, while acupuncture treatment is easily accepted by patients due to its reliability, feasibility, simple operation, low price, and quick effect. Our objective was to evaluate the efficacy of manual acupuncture in poststroke dysphagia patients. Methods. Databases including Medline, Web of Science, PubMed, Cochrane Library databases, EMBASE, CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure), WanFang (WanFang Database), and VIP (Chongqing VIP) were searched from inception until Aug 19, 2022. Data were analyzed using Revman 5.3, Stata 14.0, and TSA 0.9.5.10 Beta software. Evidence quality evaluation was performed by using GRADE profiler 3.6. Results. A total of 33 randomized control trials (RCTs) enrolled 2680 patients. Meta-analysis results revealed that compared to rehabilitation, acupuncture decreased water swallow test (WST) and standard swallowing assessment (SSA) scores. Meanwhile, in contrast to rehabilitation alone, integration of acupuncture with rehabilitation effectively decreased WST and SSA scores; improved swallowing scores of videofluoroscopic swallowing study (VFSS), swallowing scores of Fujishima Ichiro, Barthel index (BI), and swallowing quality of life questionnaire (SWAL-QOL); reduced the aspiration rates as well as aspiration pneumonia; and shortened the duration of empty swallowing and the duration of 5 mL water swallowing. Pooled analysis did not reveal any significant differences in dysphagia outcome severity scores (DOSS) (p = 0.15 > 0.05 p) between the acupuncture group combined with rehabilitation group and the rehabilitation group alone. After the risk-of-bias assessment, these studies were not of low quality, except in terms of allocation concealment and blindness. Evidence quality evaluation showed that allocation concealment and blindness led to a downgrade and primary outcomes' evaluation of acupuncture combined with rehabilitation were ranked as moderate-quality evidence while acupuncture alone was ranked as low-quality. Conclusion. This meta-analysis provided positive pieces of evidences that acupuncture and acupuncture combined with rehabilitation were better than using rehabilitation alone in the treatment of poststroke dysphagia. The laminated joints of transversely isotropic rock mass show strong discontinuity, inhomogeneity, anisotropy, and nonlinearity. This paper proposes a novel rigid block discrete element method (RB-DEM) to simulate the transversely isotropic rock mass. The balls in traditional DEM simulation are replaced by rigid blocks generated using FEM mesh. The contact on the laminar joints can be described accurately. The rigid block discrete element method (RB-DEM) results are consistent with the laboratory test. The effects of joint parameters, joint spacing, and stiffness ratio on the uniaxial compression properties of transversely isotropic rock mass are discussed. Nonsyndromic cleft lip with palate (nsCLP) is a common congenital malformation; however, early prenatal diagnosis is challenging and pathogenesis remains unclear. The purpose of this study was to determine the diagnostic potential of miRNAs in plasma‐derived exosomes and whole plasma of pregnant women to identify nsCLP and an underlying mechanism. Combined RNA sequencing analysis was performed on samples from plasma exosomes and whole plasma of pregnant women carrying normal fetuses or fetuses with nsCLP in an ongoing birth cohort, in addition to lip samples from nsCLP fetuses and healthy controls. Eight let‐7 cluster miRNAs (hsa‐let‐7a‐3p, hsa‐let‐7a‐5p, hsa‐let‐7c‐5p, hsa‐let‐7d‐3p, hsa‐let‐7d‐5p, hsa‐let‐7e‐5p, hsa‐let‐7f‐5p, and hsa‐miR‐98‐5p) in plasma exosomes from pregnant women provided higher sensitivity/specificity for diagnosing fetal nsCLP than those in plasma. Area under the receiver operating characteristic curve value of the eight miRNAs from plasma exosomes was 0.992. Among them, hsa‐let‐7a‐3p showed better diagnostic capability and was downregulated in nsCLP fetal lip tissues. Upstream and downstream target genes of hsa‐let‐7a‐3p were screened and confirmed. Our work highlights the potential clinical application value of let‐7 clusters in predicting nsCLP and associates as a new regulatory axis (EN2–LIN28A–hsa‐let‐7a‐3p–HHIP–GLI2) with human nsCLP pathogenesis.
