Nocardiosis is a rare infectious disease due to Nocardia infections. In this report, we present a rare case of cutaneous nocardiosis with involvement of the trachea, anterior mediastinum and sternum. The strain of Nocardia has been isolated from bacterial culture of infected tissue. 16s rRNA sequencing confirmed that it contained the Nocardia genus. The patient was successfully treated with Co-SMZ.

BACKGROUND: To improve the early identification of autoimmune pancreatitis in China by a retrospective analysis of clinical data from AIP patients. METHODOLOGY/PRINCIPAL FINDINGS: The analysis included 36 patients admitted by the surgery department of our hospital from January 2003 to October 2011 whose postoperative pathological confirmations were consistent with the histological criteria of Honolulu Consensus Document. The clinical phenotypes associated with the histopathologic patterns of LPSP and IDCP were referred to as type 1 and type 2 of AIP, respectively. A retrospective analysis of clinical features, serological data, pathological findings and imageological records was performed in line with the subtypes of AIP. Type 1 showing a sex predilection (males) was commonly more dominant than type 2 in all AIP. Type 2 without a gender predilection was, on average, a decade younger than type 1. Type 1 was inferior to type 2 in ALT, ALP and γ-GT with statistical significance (P = 0.044, 0.025 and 0.013). Type 1 was inferior to type 2 in AST with difference close to statistical significance (P = 0.072). Histopathology revealed frequent lymphoplasmacytic infiltration with less frequent infiltration of neutrophils, eosinophils and fibroblasts. Diffuse and intensive interstitial fibrosis could be seen. The changes of pancreatic head were more frequently seen in type 2 than in type 1 (P = 0.05). Plasma cells staining of IgG4 at a density of over 30 or more cells per high-power field appeared to be a specific finding in China with type 1. Imageology found a diffusely or focally enlarged pancreas, most frequently a mass or enlargement in the pancreatic head, characteristic capsule-like rim, calcification or pancreatic calculus and cystic degeneration. CONCLUSIONS/SIGNIFICANCE: AIP is a unique type of chronic pancreatitis and has distinctive serological, pathological and imageological characteristics, which should be used for differentiation from pancreatic cancer.

In the title molecular compound, C4H12NO+·C8H5O4−, the N,N-diethyl(hydroxy)ammonium cation (DTHA) is linked to the 3-carboxybenzoate anion (HBDL) by O—H...O and N—H...O hydrogen bonds with a graph-set motif R22(7). In the crystal, helical chains are formed by O—H...O hydrogen bonds, propagating along [010]. The crystal structure is further stabilized by π–π interactions between inversion-related HBDL benzene rings [centroid–centroid distance = 3.900 (4) Å] and C—H...O interactions.

The rare earth alloy Y 2 Co 17 − x Ni x was prepared by a low-cost co-precipitation reduction-diffusion process, and its crystal structure, static magnetic properties, and microscopic morphology were systematically characterized. The effects of Ni doping with different contents on the electromagnetic parameters and wave absorption properties of Y 2 Co 17 − x Ni x /polyurethane(PU) compounds were researched in the frequency range of 0.1–18 GHz. The results show that the static magnetic properties and wave absorption properties change significantly with Ni doping, and the maximum reflection loss of Y 2 Co 14 Ni 3 /PU reaches − 89.7 dB at 2.9 mm thickness, and the maximum reflection loss peaks of Y 2 Co 17 /PU and Y 2 Co 16 Ni 1 /PU are at 1.316 and 1.515 GHz, which is at the center frequency of the L-band. With Ni doping, the effective absorption bandwidth of the compounds at a frequency above 3 GHz is greatly increased. The physical factor in the bandwidth calculation was modified, and the effective absorption bandwidth of the material was calculated theoretically, and the error was less than 5 % compared with the experimental value. Deep learning network has the advantages of strong learning ability, strong adaptability, and good portability. Therefore, synthetic aperture radar (SAR) automatic target recognition (ATR) based on deep network is widely used in both military and civilian fields. However, due to the imaging conditions, radar angle, imaging distance, and other reasons, it is difficult to obtain efficient and usable SAR image datasets. SAR images’ recognition under small sample conditions is still a challenging problem. In this paper, a SAR target recognition method based on multi-view differential feature fusion network is proposed to address this problem. Considering the correspondence between RCS and target features, the network extracts dissimilarities between features from SAR images of different angles of the same target and fuses them with the original features of one angle to form new features, which enriches the available training data. Experimental results on the Moving and Stationary Target Acquisition and Recognition (MSTAR) public dataset show that the proposed method has a higher target recognition rate than other deep network methods, as well as single angle input recognition methods. Grains are the primary source of food for most people worldwide and constitute a major source of carbohydrates. Many novel technologies are being employed to ensure the safety and reliability of grain supply and production. Gas chromatography‐ion mobility spectrometry (GC‐IMS) can effectively separate and sensitively detect volatile organic compounds. It possesses advantages such as speed, convenience, high sensitivity, no pretreatment, and wide applicability. In recent years, many studies have shown that the application of GC‐IMS technology for grain flavor analysis can play a crucial role in grains. This article elucidates the working principle of GC‐IMS technology, reviews the application of GC‐IMS in grains in the past 5 years. GC‐IMS technology is mainly applied in four aspects in grains. In grain classification, it distinguishes varieties, quality, origin, production year, and processing methods based on the trace differences in volatile organic compounds, thereby fulfilling various grain classification requirements such as origin tracing, geographical indication product recognition, variety identification, production year identification, and detection of counterfeit and inferior grain samples. In optimizing the processing technology of grains and their products, it can improve food flavor, reduce undesirable flavors, and identify better processing parameters. In grain storage, it can determine the storage time, detect spoilage phenomena such as mold and discoloration during storage, eliminate pests affecting storage, and predict the vitality of seeds after storage. In aroma evaluation of grains and their processed products, it can assess the impact of new raw materials, new technologies, fermentation processes, and even oral processing on the quality of grain products. This article also summarizes the characteristics of GC‐IMS technology, compiles typical grain flavor compounds, and provides prospects for the future application of GC‐IMS. © 2024 Society of Chemical Industry. Objective: To assess the effects of comprehensive nursing intervention on quality of life, self-efficacy, gastrointestinal reaction and immune function of patients with breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy. Methods: This was a retrospective study. One hundred and twenty patients receiving chemotherapy after breast cancer surgery were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group(n=60) from January 2021 to January 2023. Patients in the perioperative period, the experimental group were given comprehensive nursing intervention, while those in the control group were given conventional specialist nursing intervention. The differences in quality of life, self-efficacy, gastrointestinal reaction, immune function and patient satisfaction between the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results: After the intervention, the SF-36 scores in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P=0.00), the efficacy indicators were significantly improved compared to the control group(P=0.00); the scores of gastrointestinal symptoms in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group after the intervention(P<0.05). The indexes of CD3+, CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ in the experimental group after the intervention were significantly higher than those in the control group(P=0.00); The patient satisfaction in the experimental group was 100%, which was significantly higher than 92% in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P=0.02). Conclusion: Comprehensive nursing intervention leads to a variety of benefits in the treatment of patients with breast cancer during postoperative chemotherapy, such as relieving patients' gastrointestinal reactions, improving their immune function and quality of life, besides effectively improving their self-efficacy, which is worthy of clinical application.
