When exposed to UV light at ambient temperature, three tri organotin (IV) complexes with tyrosine as a ligand (85–97% yields) were utilized as additives to prevent the photo-degradation of PVC films (40 μm thickness). The compounds were described using NMR (¹ H, 13C and 119Sn), IR, and elemental analysis. The compounds formed were assigned trigonal bipyramidal geometry depending on the spectrum data. Several Triorganotin (IV) tyrosine complexes were synthesized and mixed with polymers to form thin films (vinyl chloride). Up to 300 hours of UV light (wavelength: 313 nm) exposure was given to these films. A microscope, atomic force microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy were used to examine the surface morphology of the PVC films. Rapid UV-weathering was employed to determine weight loss and the production of certain functional groups, including carbonyl and polyene. Compared to pure PVC film, the films with manufactured complexes showed less undesired alterations. By absorbing UV light and scavenging peroxides, hydrochlorides and radicals. Utilizing purely organic materials with relatively highly emissive characteristics for designing organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) is fascinating since employing rare metals is unessential, hence, enormous research activities have been conducted in this field. Recently, additional efforts were devoted to designing special emitting materials demonstrating thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF). Molecular structures were ideally designed in a specific way using an electron-deficient molecule as an acceptor (A) and an electron-rich molecule as a donor (D) in order to minimize the overlapping between the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) of the donor (D) and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) of the acceptor (A). TADF requires a small band gap between the singlet excited and triplet excited states (ΔEST), usually less than (c.a 0.1 eV) of the luminescent material. This makes it possible to thermally harvest the excitons from the triplet excited state (T1) to the singlet excited state (S1) by a process known as reverse intersystem crossing (RISC) and then to harvest all the excitons for the fluorescence process. Thus, the design of the TADF molecular structure needs both an electron-rich segment as a donor and an electro-deficient segment as an acceptor. Up to the present, electron-deficient moieties (EDM) have been studied less than electron rich moieties (ERM) during the last few years. This review is highlighting the recent advances regarding the specific molecular designs of TADF emission materials for OLED applications, particularly, focusing on (dibenzothiophene-S,S-dioxide) as electron deficient molecule, which exhibits a strong electron-deficient unit and high ability of photo- and electroluminescence features. The photodegradation of a poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) film filled with Schiff bases in its structure was investigated and studied by comparing it with a blank PVC film. A PVC film containing novel Schiff's bases was synthesized and used as a photostabilizer for PVC. PVC was exposed to ultraviolet light and underwent harmful changes, where the photostabilization effect differed before and after filling aromatic Schiff bases within the structure. After 300 h of UV irradiation, the photodecomposition rate constants were calculated to identify the impact of Schiff bases on PVC films. In order to evaluate the impact of adding Schiff bases as photo‐stabilizers, the evolution of different functional groups during irradiation was monitored using FTIR spectra. Also, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) were exploited to examine the surface morphology of produced polymers. These investigations showed that filling novel Schiff bases inside the polymers performed much better photostabilization than plain PVC. Organotin (IV) compounds have been the focus of recent studies for their potential use in the treatment of cancer. This review provides an overview of recent studies on the inhibition of cancer cells by organotin (IV) materials. The literature suggests that organotin (IV) compounds can selectively target cancer cells and induce apoptosis, making them promising candidates for anticancer drugs. The review covers various types of organotin (IV) compounds, including those containing alkyl, aryl, and amino groups, and their mechanisms of action against cancer cells. Additionally, the study explores the potential toxicity and biocompatibility of these compounds and their derivatives, as well as their potential use in combination therapy. Overall, the results of recent studies suggest that organotin (IV) compounds show great potential for the treatment of cancer. However, more research is needed to fully understand their mechanism of action and potential side effects.
