Background & Aims Occult hepatitis B virus infection (OBI) in patients undergoing liver transplantation (LT) is a suspected source of de novo hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection after LT. This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of OBI in liver transplant recipients with alcoholic cirrhosis and demonstrate the association between OBI and de novo HBV infection after LT in these patients. Methods Forty-three patients with alcoholic cirrhosis who were negative for HBsAg before LT were recruited in this retrospective study. DNA was extracted from paraffin-embedded native liver tissues and quantified for HBV DNA by real-time PCR. Correlation between de novo HBV infection after LT (positive HBsAg and/or detectable HBV DNA in serum) and detection of intrahepatic HBV DNA before LT was analysed. Results Detectable HBV DNA in the explanted liver was found in 41.9% (18/43) of the patients and was thus defined as OBI, which was correlated with the presence of serum hepatitis B core antibody (P = 0.008). De novo HBV infection occurred in 18.6% (8/43) of the recipients at a median of 10 months after LT. The rate of de novo HBV infection was 38.9% (7/18) in patients with OBI, compared with 4% (1/25) in patients without OBI (P = 0.004). Furthermore, de novo HBV infection was inversely correlated with the presence of hepatitis B surface antibody in recipients with OBI (P = 0.026). Conclusion With a prevalence of 41.9% in liver transplant recipients with alcoholic cirrhosis, OBI in the native liver can predict de novo HBV infection after LT.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is the development production of the computer science and communication technology. As IoT is broadly used in many fields, the security of IoT is becoming especially important and will take great effects on the industry of IoT. Beginning with the concept of IoT, its features and systemic structure, this paper analyzes the security problem of IoT in the stratums of perception, network and application in the system of IoT, puts forward the secure construction of IoT, and offers the corresponding secure strategies based on the existing problems in the framework of IoT. And eventually the theoretical basis will be offered to build up reliable security system of IoT.

High-quality Mn:ZnO (MZO) film had been prepared on N-GaN coated sapphire substrates followed by postdeposition thermal annealing treatment at 700 °C. For the annealed MZO/GaN heterojunction, a 15 nm cubic structural ZnGa(2)O(4) layer was observed at the MZO/GaN interface through transmission electron microscope analysis. Through electroluminescence (EL) measurement, the formation of the nanointerface results in an EL transition from ultraviolet- to red-dominant mode for n-Mn:ZnO/N-GaN heterojunction light-emitting diodes (LEDs). The heterojunction LED showed a rectification ratio of ∼2.0 × 10(5) at ±2 V, a dark current of 3.5 nA at -2 V and a quite strong red EL with a low turn-on voltage of 3 V. On the basis of the energy band diagram, we think the EL transition from ultraviolet- to red-dominant mode is mainly due to the formation of a thin oxide blocking nanolayer at the MZO/GaN interface during the annealing process.

The trust mechanism is researched more in existing P2P literatures, but the access control strategy about information integrality in P2P network is discussed less. In this regard, the integrality grade, and the reputation grade, of the subject and of the object are introduced, and the ideas of existing access control strategy and Biba model are used in the paper. A P2P information security model based on trust and security grade is defined, and is applicable to the network environment of P2P, and the access control strategy in this model is improved and expanded.

Information security is a combination of confidentiality, integrity and availability, and the problem is how to combine them organically. There is a method based on a planar vector concerning the confidentiality and integrity in the paper of Sandhu, (1993), but this method isn't sufficient, so this paper presents a lattice model. A new function H(N, /spl alpha/, /spl beta/) of information security, based on confidentiality and integrity, is introduced. The safety classification of the object is divided by the H(N, /spl alpha/, /spl beta/) value, the information flow policy is described by the function value of two objects and a new information flow lattice model is obtained. The model satisfies the characteristic of Denning (1976), and is found to be reasonable and safe by verification. The model is also an expansion of the lattice-based BLP model and the lattice-based Biba model.

This paper gives a new function C(N, /spl alpha/, /spl beta/) of information security, which is based on confidentiality and integrality, with a new concept which is the concern degree of information. The categories in the BLP model is improved and the classifications in the BLP model is replaced with C(N, /spl alpha/, /spl beta/), this way, a new information security model is described, which use similar definition and rules of operation in the BLP model, which is an expansion of the BLP and Biba model.

Tower-like GaN nanowires were successfully fabricated on Au-coated Si substrates by chemical vapor deposition. The tower-like nanowire consisted of a nanowire at the center and microcrystal layers stacked one by one around the nanowire. The tower-like nanowires grew along the [0001] direction, and the exposed surfaces of the microcrystal layers are 10 1 ¯ 1 and 10 1 ¯ 1 ¯ facets. The growth mechanism of the tower-like GaN nanowires was proposed. The field emission property of tower-like GaN nanowires was tested. Due to the sharp tips, nearly vertical alignment and rough surfaces caused by the microcrystal layers, the tower-like GaN nanowires show excellent performance in field emission with a turn-on field of 2.44 V/μm which is lower than those of other GaN one-dimensional (1D) nanomaterials. The optical and magnetic properties of Eu-doped GaN prepared by ion implantation were reported and the effect of magnetic field on the photoluminescence (PL) behaviour was studied. The PL spectra show that the samples exhibit strong emission at around 622.0 nm. Magnetic measurement reveals ferromagnetic ordering at room temperature. There was an obvious correlation between the PL intensity and the external magnetic field. When external magnetic field of 1000 Oe was applied to the sample, a decrease of roughly 24% in the peak intensity at 622 nm was observed. The mechanics of the magnetic ordering-modulated light emission of rare-earth-doped GaN films is discussed. It may have applications in producing magneto-optical devices.
