Aiming at the tracking failure in dynamic scene with fixed template and drift problem caused by using dynamic model in visual tracking, an improved target tracking algorithm with two-phrase is proposed. Dimension reduction on positive and negative samples is made in high dimension feature space using partial least squares (PLS), and then the appearance model of target is constructed in learned low dimension feature subspace. Target tracking is carried out within the Bayesian inference framework with two-phase: in first phase, the preliminary estimation of target location is achieved by using the principle of particle filter; in second phase, the adaptive benchmark model is adopted to determine the final target location. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

The quartz-crystal microbalance technique was used to monitor the adsorption of glucose oxidase (GOx) on bare Au, Au-electrodeposited Au (Aued/Au), multiwalled carbon nanotube (MWCNT)modified Au (MWCNTs/Au), and Au-electrodeposited MWCNT-modified Au (Aued/MWCNTs/Au) electrodes. The mass of GOx at saturated adsorption was obtained in each case. The amperometric responses of these enzyme electrodes were examined, and the mass-specific bioactivities of the immobilized (adsorbed) GOx (MSBAi) were evaluated through anodic potentiostatic detection of enzymatically generated H2O2 in the presence of glucose. The direct electrochemistry of adsorbed GOx was studied by cyclic voltammetry, to obtain the electroactivity percentage of the immobilized (adsorbed) GOx (EAPi) in each case. We found that the amounts of enzyme adsorbed and the amperometric responses of these enzyme electrodes follow the order GOx/MWCNTs/Au>GOx/Aued/MWCNTs/Au>GOx/Aued/Au>GOx/Au; the MSBAi values follow the order GOx/Au>GOx/Aued/MWCNTs/Au≥GOx/Aued/Au>>GOx/MWCNTs/Au; and the EAPi values follow the order GOx/MWCNTs/Au>GOx/Aued/MWCNTs/Au>>GOx/Aued/Au≥GOx/Au. In single-station bearings-only passive location system, the localization precision and system stability are always not satisfied with the requirements of the modern electronic warfare because only angle measurement signal is presented. This paper applied to solve the state estimation problem of the passive location system using information fusion technique, improves the estimation precision and increases the system stability without adding any measurement stations. Furthermore, using scalar-weighted information fusion criterion, an information fusion passive location filter is proposed for multi-sensor system with correlated observation noises. And we use the unscented particle filter to calculate the local state estimation values. Finally, a three-sensor simulation example validates the performance of our proposed algorithm.

A fast mode decision algorithm is proposed to solve the computation complexity for enhancement Hierarchical-B pictures with adaptive inter-layer prediction in H.264/AVC scalable extension, scalable video coding. This method exploits the evaluated modes of the co-located reference macroblocks, which include the best and other abandoned modes, to compose a new candidate group for the current macroblock in adaptive inter-layer prediction of motion estimation according to their RD cost values. The candidate modes can be reduced by adjusting the size of the group in order to decrease the calculation. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm reduces 35.49% on average with very limited decrease of encoding efficiency in terms of PSNR and bit rate.

To decrease the computational complexity of adaptive inter-layer prediction and improve the encoding efficiency in spatial and temporal scalable video coding, a mode decision algorithm is proposed by exploiting the part of used modes in the co-located reference macroblock(s) for Hierarchical-B pictures of all layers. This scheme generates a reduced dynamic candidate list for the current macroblock according to the statistical information derived from the co-located reference macroblocks in their present temporal level. The experimental results show that this algorithm compresses approximately 29% in encoding time with the negligible loss in PSNR and slightly increasing in bit rate.
