The redclaw crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus) is a freshwater crayfish species endemic to northern Australia and Papua New Guinea that is the focus of a growing culture industry in number of regions around the world. Here we isolated and characterized 15 microsatellite loci from Cherax quadricarinatus and tested variability of the loci in 66 unrelated cultured individuals. Thirteen of 15 microsatellite loci were polymorphic. Number of alleles per locus ranged from two to seven while observed and expected heterozygosities ranged from 0.172 to 0.985 and from 0.373 to 0.778, respectively. Eleven loci conformed to Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium in the sampled population. These microsatellite loci developed here provide an important resource for studying genetic diversity and population structure in redclaw crayfish and potentially in other related species. 2D van der Waals (vdWs) heterostructure photodetectors have captured significant interest for their ability to achieve substantial optical conductivity gain and device tunability. However, the light absorption in ultrathin 2D inorganic vdWs devices is generally weak that leads to low detectivity. In addition, the intrinsic defects in 2D semiconductors cause significant carrier trapping and scattering by defect states during the transport process, which seriously restricts the response speed of the device. In this paper, a molybdenum tungsten disulfide (Mo0.1W0.9S2) is used to replace the conventional 2D semiconductor, while the light absorption efficiency of the device is significantly enhanced by the adoption of N’‐ Dimethyl‐3,4,9,10‐perylenedicarboximide (Me‐PTCDI), thus achieving both fast response and high detectivity. A series of type‐II organic/inorganic hybrid vdWs heterostructure photodetectors is systematically investigated based on Me‐PTCDI and Mo0.1W0.9S2. In particular, the device incorporating monolayer (ML) Me‐PTCDI and few‐layer (FL) Mo0.1W0.9S2 demonstrates a detectivity of up to 4.4 × 1011 Jones and a response time of 24.9 µs. By utilizing the device as a light sensing pixel, a single‐detecting pixel imaging system is demonstrated with high precision, showcasing promising prospects in fast imaging applications. We report on the fabrication and characterization of very low-dark-current \TiO2 metal–semiconductor–metal ultraviolet (UV) photodetectors (PDs) with Pt Schottky contacts. The dark current of the PDs is merely 1.28 pA at a 5-V bias, which is much better than the previously reported data. The photoconductive gain is less than one for a bias of less than 10 V. The remarkable reduction of the dark current and the gain can be attributed to the combined effect of the large Schottky barrier height produced at the \Pt/TiO2 contacts and the high quality of the sputtered \TiO2 films, such as low intrinsic carrier concentration, large grain size, and absence of oxygen vacancies. Serious climate changes and energy-related environmental problems are currently critical issues in the world. In order to reduce carbon emissions and save our environment, renewable energy harvesting technologies will serve as a key solution in the near future. Among them, triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs), which is one of the most promising mechanical energy harvesters by means of contact electrification phenomenon, are explosively developing due to abundant wasting mechanical energy sources and a number of superior advantages in a wide availability and selection of materials, relatively simple device configurations, and low-cost processing. Significant experimental and theoretical efforts have been achieved toward understanding fundamental behaviors and a wide range of demonstrations since its report in 2012. As a result, considerable technological advancement has been exhibited and it advances the timeline of achievement in the proposed roadmap. Now, the technology has reached the stage of prototype development with verification of performance beyond the lab scale environment toward its commercialization. In this review, distinguished authors in the world worked together to summarize the state of the art in theory, materials, devices, systems, circuits, and applications in TENG fields. The great research achievements of researchers in this field around the world over the past decade are expected to play a major role in coming to fruition of unexpectedly accelerated technological advances over the next decade.

Mass transfer is an essential factor determining photocatalytic performance, which can be modulated by fluid field via manipulating the kinetic characteristics of photocatalysts and photocatalytic intermediates. Past decades have witnessed the efforts and achievements made in manipulating mass transfer based on photocatalyst structure and composition design, and thus, a critical survey that scrutinizes the recent progress in this topic is urgently necessitated. This review examines the basic principles of how mass transfer behavior impacts photocatalytic activity accompanying with the discussion on theoretical simulation calculation including fluid flow speed and pattern. Meanwhile, newly emerged viable photocatalytic micro/nanomotors with self-thermophoresis, self-diffusiophoresis, and bubble-propulsion mechanisms as well as magnet-actuated photocatalytic artificial cilia for facilitating mass transfer will be covered. Furthermore, their applications in photocatalytic hydrogen evolution, carbon dioxide reduction, organic pollution degradation, bacteria disinfection and so forth are scrutinized. One efficient strategy for addressing the global water shortage is advanced membrane separation, which depends on the precise pore size being close to the hydrated ion size and other surface properties like charge and polarity. However, it is very difficult to fabricate uniform pores with diameters of <1 nm on monolayer membranes. By applying an electric field (bias voltage) perpendicular to the direction of the pressure difference, herein we demonstrate for the first time that a monolayer nanoporous graphene membrane with pores much larger than hydrated ions exhibits high salt rejection and allows a high rate of water transport. This theoretical proposal goes beyond the pore size limitation and shows promise for the design of high-performance reverse osmosis membranes.

Methyl orange (MO) can be degraded by a photocatalytic process using TiO₂ under UV irradiation. The photo-generated holes and electrons can migrate to the surface of TiO₂ particles and serve as redox sources that react with adsorbed reactants, leading to the formation of superoxide radical anions, hydrogen peroxide and hydroxyl radicals involved in the oxidation of dye pollution. Here, we fabricated a polytetrafluoroethylene-Al based triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) whose electric power output can be used for enhancing the photodegradation of MO with the presence of TiO₂ nanoparticles, because the TENG generated electric field can effectively boost the separation and restrain the recombination of photo-generated electrons and holes. Due to the photoelectrical coupling, the degradation percentages of MO for 120 min with and without TENG assistance are 76% and 27%, respectively. The fabricated TENGs have potential applications in wastewater treatment, water splitting, and pollution degradation.
