Purpose To explore the risk factors of enterostomy in neonates with Hirschsprung disease (HD) to provide reference for clinicians to make treatment decisions. Methods The medical records of 284 patients who were diagnosed with HD during the neonatal period were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were retrospectively divided into 2 groups according to whether or not they had an enterostomy before radical surgery. Univariate and multivariable logistic regression analysis were performed to identify risk factors of enterostomy. Results The incidence of enterostomy was 18.5% (34/284) in neonates with HD. Pyroptosis, a kind of programmed cell death involving inflammation, might be a powerful way to fight against tumors, for example, using immunotherapy. However, how to trigger pyroptosis in cancer cells is an important issue. Photothermal (PTT)/photodynamic (PDT) therapy is a crucial strategy for inducing cancer cell pyroptosis with noninvasiveness. In this work, a sericin derivative modified with poly(γ-benzyl-l-glutamate) (PBLG) could self-assemble and was stable in an aqueous environment. Furthermore, the sericin derivative was conjugated with the tumor-targeting agent VB12 and loaded with IR780. Finally, we successfully synthesized VB12-sericin-PBLG-IR780 nanomicelles. The as-designed nanomicelles showed appropriate particle sizes, spherical morphology, improved photothermal stability, and high photothermal conversion efficiency (∼40%), which generated reactive oxygen species (ROS) simultaneously. Through enhanced cellular uptake, VB12-sericin-PBLG-IR780 could deliver more IR780 into cancer cells. With near-infrared (NIR), the VB12-sericin-PBLG-IR780 could significantly inhibit the expression of ATP synthase, called ATP5MC3, followed by mitochondrial damage. The presence of mitochondrial reactive oxygen species (mitoROS) led to oxidative damage of mitochondrial DNA (mitoDNA), which further activates NLRP3/Caspase-1/gasdermin D (GSDMD)-dependent pyroptosis and could promote dendritic cell (DC) maturation by pyroptosis. Furthermore, our data showed that VB12-sericin-PBLG-IR780 could achieve a brilliant antitumor effect and could activate DC maturation, initiate T-cell recruiting, and prime adaptive antitumor efficiency. Overall, our well-prepared nanomicelles might offer a tumor-targeted approach for programmed cell pyroptosis and inducing antitumor immunity via photothermal PTT/PDT effect-induced mitoDNA oxidative damage.

Machine learning (ML) has shown to be an effective alternative to physical models for quality prediction and process optimization of metal additive manufacturing (AM). However, the inherent “black box” nature of ML techniques such as those represented by artificial neural networks has often presented a challenge to interpret ML outcomes in the framework of the complex thermodynamics that govern AM. While the practical benefits of ML provide an adequate justification, its utility as a reliable modeling tool is ultimately reliant on assured consistency with physical principles and model transparency. To facilitate the fundamental needs, physics-informed machine learning (PIML) has emerged as a hybrid machine learning paradigm that imbues ML models with physical domain knowledge such as thermomechanical laws and constraints. The distinguishing feature of PIML is the synergistic integration of data-driven methods that reflect system dynamics in real-time with the governing physics underlying AM. In this paper, the current state-of-the-art in metal AM is reviewed and opportunities for a paradigm shift to PIML are discussed, thereby identifying relevant future research directions.

The echinoderm microtubule-associated protein-like 4 gene and anaplastic lymphoma kinase gene (EML4-ALK) is the most frequent fusion variant of ALK rearrangements in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). With the widespread application of next-generation sequencing (NGS), more fusions and co-mutations of EML4-ALK have been discovered. Complex co-mutation of EML4-ALK fusions together with BRAF V600E, though rarely occurred, also deserves attention to determine the standard of caring these patients. Herein, we report a case of lung adenocarcinoma harboring a complex ALK fusion that coexisted with a BRAF mutation, as tested by DNA-NGS prior to treatment.A 51-year-old non-smoking man, without any symptoms, was admitted to hospital due to small pulmonary nodules and enlarged supraclavicu larlymph nodes found in health checkup.He was diagnosed with stage IVB (T4N3M1c) lung adenocarcinoma. BRAF V600E (abundance 3.75%) mutation and a novel thus little-understood EML4-ALK (E13, A5; abundance 2.16%) fusion were identified by DNA-NGS analysis of lymph node biopsy tissue in December 2019.Darafenib plus trametinib targeted therapy and chemotherapy were given firstly, but tumor progression was not inhibited. The ALK inhibitor alectinib was prescribed then.The patient exhibited a rapid disease response to ALK tyrosine kinase inhibitors alectinib with a complete remission of widespread metastatic disease and progression-free survival of more than 26 months, but not to darafenib plus trametinib targeted BRAF V600E therapy. Re-analyzed the patient's DNA-NGS original data, showed it is a rare and complex EML4-ALK (E13, A5, A20) fusion in fact. Additional RNA-NGS analysis showed it verified to be a canonical EML4-ALK (E13, A20) fusion transcript and coexisting with a BRAF V600E mutation.This case suggests that for patients with rare or complex EML4-ALK fusions at DNA level, additional RNA-NGS is necessary to verify its functionality as early as possible. Targeting EML4-ALK firstly may be more preferable despite the coexisting of BRAF V600E.

Effective natural ventilation reduces humidity, cools the space, and enhances thermal comfort. In light of the frequent ventilation issues in the Lingnan area, this research suggests a successful ventilation technique using Jiangmen’s “Yunshan Poetic” Moon Island houses as an example. With its symmetrical architectural layout of townhouses and its primary courtyard villa product, the community typifies the Lingnan area. First off, we discovered that the district’s average temperature is as high as 30.95 °C and its average humidity is as high as 83.592%RH using actual measurements and simulation of heat and humidity data. The district’s buildings’ issues with dampness, peeling walls, and substance mold are primarily caused by poor ventilation. Secondly, the PHOENICS program was used to provide efficient ventilation solutions for the following six aspects: external wind infusion organization, group orientation layout, planar grouping optimization, building façade combination, monolithic building openings, and indoor ventilation block. In order to determine if the technique is effective, the ventilation variables are compared before and after optimization using the Building Ventilation Effectiveness Test and Evaluation Criteria. The study concluded that the building’s architectural characteristics and the local climate have an impact on natural ventilation’s effectiveness. This serves as a guide for both the scientific layout development of future urban settlements and the optimization of ventilation of existing villa buildings in humid and hot areas.

Long non‐coding ribonucleic acids (lncRNAs) play critical roles in acute lung injury (ALI). We aimed to explore the involvement of lncRNA HOX transcript antisense intergenic ribonucleic acid (HOTAIR) in regulating autophagy in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)‐induced ALI. We obtained 1289 differentially expressed lncRNAs or messenger RNAs (mRNAs) via microarray analysis. HOTAIR was significantly upregulated in the LPS stimulation experimental group. HOTAIR knockdown (si‐HOTAIR) promoted cell proliferation in LPS‐stimulated A549 and BEAS‐2B cells, suppressing the protein expression of autophagy marker light chain 3B and Beclin‐1. Inhibition of HOTAIR suppressed LPS‐induced cell autophagy, apoptosis and arrested cells in the G0/G1 phase prior to S phase entry. Further, si‐HOTAIR alleviated LPS‐induced lung injury in vivo. We predicted the micro‐ribonucleic acid miR‐17‐5p to target HOTAIR and confirmed this via RNA pull‐down and dual luciferase reporter assays. miR‐17‐5p inhibitor treatment reversed the HOTAIR‐mediated effects on autophagy, apoptosis, cell proliferation and cell cycle. Finally, we predicted autophagy‐related genes (ATGs) ATG2, ATG7 and ATG16 as targets of miR‐17‐5p, which reversed their HOTAIR‐mediated protein upregulation in LPS‐stimulated A549 and BEAS‐2B cells. Taken together, our results indicate that HOTAIR regulated apoptosis, the cell cycle, proliferation and autophagy through the miR‐17‐5p/ATG2/ATG7/ATG16 axis, thus driving LPS‐induced ALI.

Cell fate and morphologies are influenced by the mechanical property of matrix. However, the relevant works about the dynamic adjustable of matrix mechanical property is rare and most of them need extra stimulation, such as the controllable of the degradation. In this study, double crosslinking (DC) hydrogels are fabricated by sequential covalent crosslinking and electrostatic interactions between hyaluronic acid and poly-lysine. Without any extra stimulation or treatment, the compressive stress of DC-hydrogels increases from 22.4 ± 9.4 kPa to 320.1 ± 6.6 kPa with the elongation of incubation time in DMEM solution. The change of compressive stress of matrix induced the morphology of L929 fibroblast cells adjusted from the distributed round shape to spheroid cell clusters and finally to spread shape. RNA sequence analysis also demonstrated that the differentially gene expression and GO enrichment between the cells seeded on the DC-hydrogel with different incubation time. In addition, by increasing the electrostatic interactions ratio of the hydrogel, the biodegradation, compressive stress and energy dissipation of the DC-hydrogels were also significantly improved. Therefore, our study provides new and critical insights into the design strategy to achieve DC-hydrogels which can in situ alter cells morphology and open up a new avenue for the application of disease therapy.

The super-tough bio-based nylon was prepared by melt extrusion. In order to improve the compatibility between bio-based nylon and elastomer, the elastomer POE was grafted with maleic anhydride. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) were used to study the compatibility and micro-distribution between super-tough bio-based nylon and toughened elastomers. The results of mechanical strength experiments show that the 20% content of POE-g-MAH has the best toughening effect. After toughening, the toughness of the super-tough nylon was significantly improved. The notched impact strength was 88 kJ/m2 increasing by 1700%, which was in line with the industrial super-tough nylon. X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) were used to study the crystallization behavior of bio-based PA56, and the effect of bio-based PA56 with high crystallinity on mechanical properties was analyzed from the microstructure.

Exploring the future mobility of older people is imperative for maintaining wellbeing and quality of life in an ageing society. The forthcoming level 3 automated vehicle may potentially benefit older people. In a level 3 automated vehicle, the driver can be completely disengaged from driving while, under some circumstances, being expected to take over the control occasionally. Existing research into older people and level 3 automated vehicles considers older people to be a homogeneous group, but it is not clear if different sub-groups of old people have different performance and perceptions when interacting with automated vehicles. To fill this research gap, a driving simulator investigation was conducted. We adopted a between-subjects experimental design with subgroup of old age as the independent variable. The differences in performance, behaviour, and perception towards level 3 automated vehicles between the younger old group (60–69 years old) and older old group (70 years old and over) was investigated. 15 subjects from the younger old group (mean age = 64.87 years, SD = 3.46 years) and 24 from the older old group (mean age = 75.13 years, SD = 3.35 years) participated in the study. The findings indicate that older people should not be regarded as a homogeneous group when interacting with automated vehicle. Compared to the younger old people, the older old people took over the control of the vehicle more slowly, and their takeover was less stable and more critical. However, both groups exhibited positive perceptions towards level 3 automation, and the of older old people’s perceptions were significantly more positive. This study demonstrated the importance of recognising older people as a heterogeneous group in terms of their performance, capabilities, needs and requirements when interacting with automated vehicles. This may have implications in the design of such systems and also understanding the market for autonomous mobility.

In the era of Industry 4.0, 3D printing unlocks a wide array of solutions to rapidly-produce spare parts for maintenance operations. In this research, we propose a hybrid simulation approach, combining agent-based and discrete event simulation methods, to investigate how the adoption of 3D printing technologies to manufacture spare parts for maintenance operations will improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Specifically, our framework is applied to the United States Navy’s fighter jet maintenance operations to study various network configurations, where 3D printing facilities may be centralized, decentralized, or hub configured. System performance in terms of the total cost, timeliness of delivery, and vulnerability under disruptions such as cyber-attacks and emergencies are evaluated. Lastly, the impact of 3D printing technological advancements on operational performance is investigated to obtain managerial insights.

Objective To evaluate the safety and efficacy of the transanal endorectal pull-through (TEPT) and the long-term outcomes in newborns with HD. Methods A total of 229 newborns with HD underwent one-stage TEPT between 2007 and 2020, and the diagnoses were confirmed by rectal biopsy. The perioperative clinical course for all patients was reviewed, and the postoperative short- and long-term outcomes were assessed. Results A total of 229 neonates (187 male and 42 female) had a median age at TEPT of 17 days (range, 6–28 days). Sixty-eight patients (29.7%) underwent TEPT combined with an abdominal approach or laparoscopy. Early postoperative complications were documented in 26 patients (11.4%). The follow-up period in the remaining 165 children ranged from 1.2 to 14.0 years (median, 5.0 years), and late postoperative complications were noted in 6 patients (3.6%). A total of 106 of the patients older than four years old took part in an interview about bowel function, and 85 patients (80.2%) had a bowel function scores (BFS) ≥ 18. Conclusion TEPT is effective and safe in the treatment of neonatal HD and presents with a low rate of complications and an acceptable outcome.

Background: Sex differences in clinical characteristics and in-hospital outcomes among patients with non–ST-segment–elevation myocardial infarction have been described in Western countries, but whether these differences exist in China is unknown. Methods: We used a 2-stage random sampling design to create a nationally representative sample of patients admitted to 151 Chinese hospitals for non–ST-segment–elevation myocardial infarction in 2006, 2011, and 2015 and examined sex differences in clinical profiles, treatments, and in-hospital outcomes over this time. Multivariable logistic regression models adjusting for age or other potentially confounding clinical covariates were used to estimate these sex-specific differences. Results: Among 4611 patients, the proportion of women (39.8%) was unchanged between 2006 and 2015. Women were older with higher rates of hypertension, diabetes, and dyslipidemia. Among patients without contraindications, women were less likely to receive treatments than men, with significant differences for aspirin in 2015 (90.3% versus 93.9%) and for invasive strategy in 2011 (28.7% versus 45.7%) and 2015 (34.0% versus 48.4%). After adjusting for age, such differences in aspirin and invasive strategy in 2015 were not significant, but the difference in invasive strategy in 2011 persisted. The sex gaps in the use of invasive strategy did not narrow. From 2006 to 2015, a significant decrease in in-hospital mortality was observed in men (from 16.9% to 8.7%), but not in women (from 11.8% to 12.0%), with significant interaction between sex and study year ( P =0.023). After adjustment, in-hospital mortality in women was significantly lower than men in 2006, but not in 2011 or 2015. Conclusions: Sex differences in cardiovascular risk factors and invasive strategy after non–ST-segment–elevation myocardial infarction were observed between 2011 and 2015 in China. Although sex gaps in in-hospital mortality were largely explained by age differences, efforts to narrow sex-related disparities in quality of care should remain a focus. Factory in a box (FiB) is an emerging technology that meets the dynamic and diverse market demand by carrying a factory module on vehicles to perform on-site production near customers’ locations. It is suitable for meeting time-sensitive demands, such as the outbreak of disasters or epidemics/pandemics. Compared to traditional manufacturing, FiB poses a new challenge of frequently reconfiguring supply chain networks since the final production location changes as the vehicle carrying the factory travels. Supply chain network reconfiguration involves decisions regarding whether suppliers or manufacturers can be retained in the supply chain or replaced. Such a supply chain reconfiguration problem is coupled with manufacturing process planning, which assigns tasks to each manufacturer that impacts material flow in the supply chain network. Considering the supply chain reconfigurability, this article develops a new mathematical model based on nonlinear integer programming to optimize supply chain reconfiguration and assembly planning jointly. An evolutionary algorithm (EA) is developed and customized to the joint optimization of process planning and supplier/manufacturer selection. The performance of EA is verified with a nonlinear solver for a relaxed version of the problem. A case study on producing a medical product demonstrates the methodology in guiding supply chain reconfiguration and process planning as the final production site relocates in response to local demands. The methodology can be potentially generalized to supply chain and service process planning for a mobile hospital offering on-site medical services.

The pathophysiologic role of liver in bone metabolism remains largely unknown. Here, we uncover a novel liver-bone axis regulated by hepatocyte SIRT2. We firstly demonstrated that liver-specific SIRT2 deficiency (SIRT2-KOhep) obviously inhibits osteoclastogenesis and alleviates osteoporosis in aged and postmenopausal osteoporosis mouse models. Mechanistically, leucine-rich alpha-2-glycoprotein 1 (LRG1) was identified as the functional cargo in hepatocyte-derived small extracellular vesicles (sEVs), which is required for the protection of SIRT2-KOhep against osteoclastogenesis. In hepatocytes, SIRT2-KOhep up-regulates the expression of LRG1 in hepatocyte-derived sEVs (sEVs-LRG1) through increasing acetylation of H4K16. The sEVs-LRG1 is transfered to bone marrow-derived monocytes (BMDMs) to suppress osteoclast differentiation through directly inhibiting nuclear translocation of NF-κB p65. Therapeutically, treating ovariectomized mice with SIRT2 pharmacological inhibitor AGK2 or sEVs purified from LRG1-overexpressed AML12 hepatocytes obviously attenuated osteoclastogenesis and bone loss. In accordance, sEVs derived from either human LRG1high plasma or hepatocytes with SIRT2 inhibition may markedly inhibit human osteoclast differentiation. Importantly, the clinical data showed that the plasma sEVs-LRG1 was positively correlated with bone mineral density and negatively related with bone resorption marker in patients. Therefore, drugs targeting the hepatocyte-osteoclast communication, including hepatocyte SIRT2 and sEVs-LRG1, should be considered as promising therapeutic strategy for primary osteoporosis.

To develop an index for the differential diagnosis of corticotropin-dependent Cushing syndrome (CS). The development cohort included 112 consecutive patients with clinicopathologically confirmed corticotropin-dependent CS at the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism, Tianjin Medical University General Hospital, from December 2004 to May 2020, and data of 126 patients from studies published from 2016 to August 2020, identified through search in PubMed, Embase and the Cochrane Library, was extracted for external validation. The index was calculated as the product of plasma adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH, pmol/L) and urinary free cortisol (UFC, nmol/24 h) divided by 10,000. The discriminative ability was tested using receiver operating characteristics (ROC) curve analysis. In development cohort, area under curve of ROC analysis of the ACTH-UFC index in identifying Cushing disease (CD) was 0.977. The diagnostic accuracy of ACTH-UFC index ≤ 11 was comparable to that of 48 h 8 mg/d high-dose dexamethasone test (HDDST) in identifying CD, with sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative likelihood ratios of 96.6%, 87.5%, 7.73, and 0.04, respectively. The sensitivity of ACTH-UFC index ≤ 11 in parallel combination with pituitary magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was 100% for identifying CD. The performance of the ACTH-UFC index in parallel or serial combination with pituitary MRI was similar in the validation cohort. ACTH-UFC index provides a rapid, convenient and non-invasive adjunctive approach for the differential diagnosis of corticotropin-dependent CS, with no risk of aggravating metabolic disturbances. Investigations for ectopic causes of corticotropin-dependent CS should be performed with ACTH-UFC index > 11 and negative contrasted pituitary MRI.

In recent decades, unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) are attracting increasing attention due to their underlying capability in autonomously undertaking complex maritime tasks in constrained environments. However, the autonomy level of USVs is still limited, especially when being deployed to conduct multiple tasks simultaneously. This paper, therefore, aims to improve USVs autonomy level by investigating and developing an effective and efficient task management algorithm for multi-USV systems. To better deal with challenging requirements such as allocating vast tasks in cluttered environments, the task management has been de-composed into two submissions, i.e., task allocation and task execution. More specifically, unsupervised learning strategies have been used with an improved K-means algorithm proposed to first assign different tasks for a multi-USV system then a self-organising map (SOM) been implemented to deal with the task execution problem based upon the assigned tasks for each USV. Differing to other work, the communication problem that is crucial for USVs in a constrained environment has been specifically resolved by designing a new competition strategy for K-means algorithm. Key factors that will influence the communication capability in practical applications have been taken into account. A holistic task management architecture has been designed by integrating both the task allocation and task execution algorithms, and a number of simulations in both simulated and practical maritime environments have been carried out to validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

Image segmentation is the task of partitioning an image into individual objects, and has many important applications in a wide range of fields. The majority of segmentation methods rely on image intensity gradient to define edges between objects. However, intensity gradient fails to identify edges when the contrast between two objects is low. In this paper we aim to introduce methods to make such weak edges more prominent in order to improve segmentation results of objects of low contrast. This is done for two kinds of segmentation models: global and local. We use a combination of a reproducing kernel Hilbert space and approximated Heaviside functions to decompose an image and then show how this decomposition can be applied to a segmentation model. We show some results and robustness to noise, as well as demonstrating that we can combine the reconstruction and segmentation model together, allowing us to obtain both the decomposition and segmentation simultaneously.

Hyperspectral image (HSI) super-resolution refers to enhancing the spatial resolution of a 3-D image with many spectral bands (slices). It is a seriously ill-posed problem when the low-resolution (LR) HSI is the only input. It is better solved by fusing the LR HSI with a high-resolution (HR) multispectral image (MSI) for a 3-D image with both high spectral and spatial resolution. In this article, we propose a novel nonnegative and nonlocal 4-D tensor dictionary learning-based HSI super-resolution model using group-block sparsity. By grouping similar 3-D image cubes into clusters and then conduct super-resolution cluster by cluster using 4-D tensor structure, we not only preserve the structure but also achieve sparsity within the cluster due to the collection of similar cubes. We use 4-D tensor Tucker decomposition and impose nonnegative constraints on the dictionaries and group-block sparsity. Numerous experiments demonstrate that the proposed model outperforms many state-of-the-art HSI super-resolution methods.

We aimed to evaluate anorectal function of normal infants and children through three dimension high-definition anorectal manometry (3D ARM) to fill the research blank in this area.From November 2014 to January 2019, 104 normal infants and children among patients who underwent 3D ARM were divided into four groups according to age (≤1 month;1 month to ≤1 year;1 year to ≤4 years and4 years) and reviewed. The following parameters were performed: the length of anorectal high-pressure zone (HPZ), the resting pressure of HPZ (HPZ-rest), the squeezing pressure of HPZ (HPZ-sqze), recto-anal inhibitory reflex (RAIR), and pressure distribution of the anal canal. Graphpad Prism 7.0 software was used for statistical analysis.HPZ, HPZ-rest, and HPZ-sqze increased with age. There were differences in HPZ-rest and HPZ-sqze between the groups (p 0.05). Sex had a significant effect on HPZ, but not on HPZ-rest and HPZ-sqze. The HPZ of males was higher than that of females among those ≤1 month old (p 0.05). RAIR (-) was found in 17 patients (16%) for whom Hirschsprung's disease were excluded by biopsy, and these patients had regular defecation during follow-up. Most of the patients (85%) older than 1 year had a symmetric anal pressure distribution during the contracting period (p 0.05).Anal canal function parameters gradually increased with age in normal infants and children which demonstrated the important role of age in evaluation, and these parameters can provide a reference for postoperative evaluation of anal canal function.

Warning system for pedestrians (WSP), one of cooperative intelligent transport system (C-ITS) applications, is designed to increase safety for pedestrians but also for drivers and other road users. The evaluation of end-user acceptance and perceptions of this technology is crucial before deploying it in transportation systems. Five WSP human–machine interfaces (HMIs) were designed and simulated using a driver’s first-view video footage of driving through a pedestrian crossing in Newcastle upon Tyne. The five WSP designs were evaluated with 24 younger end users (35 years old and younger). This study first evaluated the usefulness of the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) in modelling end-user acceptance in terms of behavioural intentions to use WSP. The results suggest that the UTAUT can be applied to investigate the end-user acceptance of WSP, with performance expectancy and effort expectancy influencing the behavioural intentions to use WSP. Furthermore, we investigated end-user attitudes towards various WSP human–machine interface (HMI) designs. Participants showed more positive attitudes towards visual-only interfaces than towards audio-only and multi-modal (combinations of visual and audio) interfaces. Above all, the findings of this research increase our understanding of public acceptance and perceptions of this C-ITS application.

In the past decade, there is an increasing interest in the deployment of unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) for undertaking ocean missions in dynamic, complex maritime environments. The success of these missions largely relies on motion planning algorithms that can generate optimal navigational trajectories to guide a USV. Apart from minimising the distance of a path, when deployed a USVs' motion planning algorithms also need to consider other constraints such as energy consumption, the affected of ocean currents as well as the fast collision avoidance capability. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm named anisotropic GPMP2 to revolutionise motion planning for USVs based upon the fundamentals of GP (Gaussian process) motion planning (GPMP, or its updated version GPMP2). Firstly, we integrated the anisotropy into GPMP2 to make the generated trajectories follow ocean currents where necessary to reduce energy consumption on resisting ocean currents. Secondly, to further improve the computational speed and trajectory quality, a dynamic fast GP interpolation is integrated in the algorithm. Finally, the new algorithm has been validated on a WAM-V 20 USV in a ROS environment to show the practicability of anisotropic GPMP2.
