101. The combination of physical activity with fruit and vegetable intake associated with life satisfaction among middle-aged and older adults: a 16-year population-based cohort study.

Abstract: Background: Life satisfaction (LS) is part of a positive psychological feeling that protects individuals from a physical decline in old age. A healthy lifestyle, including physical activity (PA) and a healthy diet, such as the intake of fruits and vegetables (F&V), can lead to a better experience of LS in older adults. However, the association between PA and F&V intake habits when occurring together in older adults is still unclear for LS. The study aimed to investigate the combined association of PA and F&V intake on LS among a cohort of older Taiwanese adults., Methods: Five waves of population-based data gathered by the Taiwan Longitudinal Survey on Aging between 1999 and 2015 were analyzed. The year 1999 was set as the baseline, and the number of respondents was 4,440. The independent variables included the frequency, duration, and intensity of PA and the frequency of F&V intake. LS was assessed by using the Life Satisfaction Index. We performed generalized estimating equations (GEE) analysis with adjustment for covariates of health behaviors and health indicators., Results: After adjusting for confounders, model 1 showed that moderate and high-PA levels significantly correlated with LS (odds ratio [OR] = 1.41, 95% CI = 1.12-1.79) and OR = 1.74, 95% CI = 1.50-2.02). Moreover, high-F&V intake significantly correlated with LS (OR = 2.07, 95% CI = 1.69-2.53). Regarding the combined association shown in model 2, compared with both the low PA and F&V intake group, there were significantly higher LS in the both-high-group (OR = 4.69, 95% CI = 3.49-6.31), only-high-F&V intake (OR = 2.87, 95% CI = 2.14-3.85), only-high-PA (OR = 2.48, 95% CI = 1.74-3.52)., Conclusions: Our findings show the significant combined association of PA and F&V intake on LS among older adults. In addition, older adults who engaged in higher frequency, duration, and intensity of daily PA combined more than seven times a week of F&V intake had significantly higher LS than those who only engaged in low PA or only intake less F&V. Adopting multiple healthy behaviors in daily life is a safe and effective approach to promote LS among older adults., (© 2024. The Author(s).)

102. Exploring human resource management in the top five global hospitals: a comparative study.

Abstract: Background: The pivotal role of Human Resource Management (HRM) in hospital administration has been acknowledged in research, yet the examination of HRM practices in the world's premier hospitals has been scant., Objective: This study explored how the world's leading hospitals attain operational efficiency by optimizing human resource allocation and melding development strategies into their HRM frameworks. A comparative analysis of the HRM frameworks in the top five global hospitals was undertaken to offer a reference model for other hospitals., Methods: This research offers a comparative exploration of the HRM frameworks utilized by the top five hospitals globally, underscoring both shared and distinct elements. Using a multi-case study methodology, the research scrutinized each hospital's HRM framework across six modules, drawing literature from publicly accessible sources, including websites, annual reports, and pertinent English-language scholarly literature from platforms such as Google Scholar, PubMed, Medline, and Web of Science., Results: The analyzed hospitals exhibited inconsistent HRM frameworks, yet all manifested potent organizational cultural attributes and maintained robust employee training and welfare policies. The design of the HR systems was strategically aligned with the hospitals' objectives, and the study established that maintaining a sustainable talent system is pivotal to achieving hospital excellence., Conclusion: The HRM frameworks of the five analyzed hospitals align with their developmental strategies and exhibit unique organizational cultural attributes. All five hospitals heavily prioritize aligning employee development with overall hospital growth and place a spotlight on fostering a healthy working environment and nurturing employees' sense of achievement. While compensation is a notable performance influencer, it is not rigorously tied to workload in these hospitals, with employees receiving mid-to-upper industry-range compensation. Performance assessment criteria focus on job quality and aligning employee actions with organizational values. 103. Human resource management research in healthcare: a big data bibliometric study.

Abstract: Human resource management (HRM) in healthcare is an important component in relation to the quality and efficiency of healthcare delivery. However, a comprehensive overview is lacking to assess and track the current status and trends of HRM research in healthcare. This study aims to describe the current situation and global trends in HRM research in healthcare as well as to indicate the frontiers and future directions of research. The research methodology is based on bibliometric mapping using scientific visualization software (VOSviewer). The data were collected from the Web of Science(WoS) core citation database. After applying the search criteria, we retrieved 833 publications, which have steadily increased over the last 30 years. In addition, 93 countries and regions have published relevant research. The United States and Australia have made significant contributions in this area. Current research articles focus on topics clustered into performance, hospital/COVID-19, job satisfaction, human resource management, occupational/mental health, and quality of care. The most frequently co-occurring keywords are human resource management, job satisfaction, nurses, hospitals, health services, quality of care, COVID-19, and nursing. There is limited research on compensation management and employee relations management, so the current HRM research field still has not been able to present a complete and systematic roadmap. Abstract: Using data samples with an integrated luminosity of 5.85 fb^{-1} collected at center-of-mass energies from 4.61 to 4.95 GeV with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring, we measure the cross section for the process e^{+}e^{-}→K^{+}K^{-}J/ψ. A new resonance with a mass of M=4708_{-15}^{+17}±21 MeV/c^{2} and a width of Γ=126_{-23}^{+27}±30 MeV is observed in the energy-dependent line shape of the e^{+}e^{-}→K^{+}K^{-}J/ψ cross section with a significance over 5σ. The K^{+}J/ψ system is also investigated to search for charged charmoniumlike states, but no significant Z_{cs}^{+} states are observed. Upper limits on the Born cross sections for e^{+}e^{-}→K^{-}Z_{cs}(3985)^{+}/K^{-}Z_{cs}(4000)^{+}+c.c. with Z_{cs}(3985)^{±}/Z_{cs}(4000)^{±}→K^{±}J/ψ are reported at 90% confidence levels. The ratio of branching fractions {[B(Z_{cs}(3985)^{+}→K^{+}J/ψ)]/B[Z_{cs}(3985)^{+}→(D[over ¯]^{0}D_{s}^{*+}+D[over ¯]^{*0}D_{s}^{+})]} is measured to be less than 0.03 at 90% confidence level.

105. Gender differences in oral health among prisoners: a cross-sectional study from Taiwan.

Abstract: Background: The prevalence of oral diseases among Taiwanese prisoners has rarely been investigated. This study aimed to estimate the gender-specific prevalence of oral disease in a sample of Taiwanese prisoners., Methods: We included 83,048 participants from the National Health Insurance (NHI) Program. Outcomes were measured using the clinical version of the International Classification of Diseases, Ninth Revision (ICD-9-CM). For prevalence, we provide absolute values and percentages. We also performed a χ2 test to assess sex and age group differences in the percentage of disease in the oral cavity, salivary glands, and jaw., Results: The prevalence rate of oral diseases was 25.90%, which was higher than that of the general population. The prevalence of oral diseases in female prisoners was higher than that in male prisoners (p < 0.001), and the prevalence of oral diseases in prisoners aged ≤ 40 was higher than that of prisoners aged > 40. Among all cases of diagnosed oral diseases, the top three diseases were dental hard tissue diseases (13.28%), other cellulitis and abscesses (9.79%), and pruritus and related conditions (2.88%), respectively. The prevalence of various oral diseases in female prisoners was significantly higher than that in male prisoners., Conclusion: Oral disease is common among Taiwanese prisoners. Female prisoners had a higher prevalence of oral, salivary gland, and jaw diseases than male prisoners. Therefore, early prevention and appropriate treatment are required and also a need for gender-specific oral disease products given the differences in the prevalence of oral disease among male and female prisoners., (© 2023. Abstract: We study the process e^{+}e^{-}→Λ_{c}^{+}Λ[over ¯]_{c}^{-} at twelve center-of-mass energies from 4.6119 to 4.9509 GeV using data samples collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The Born cross sections and effective form factors (|G_{eff}|) are determined with unprecedented precision after combining the single and double-tag methods based on the decay process Λ_{c}^{+}→pK^{-}π^{+}. Flat cross sections around 4.63 GeV are obtained and no indication of the resonant structure Y(4630), as reported by Belle, is found. In addition, no oscillatory behavior is discerned in the |G_{eff}| energy dependence of Λ_{c}^{+}, in contrast to what is seen for the proton and neutron cases. Analyzing the cross section together with the polar-angle distribution of the Λ_{c}^{+} baryon at each energy point, the moduli of electric and magnetic form factors (|G_{E}| and |G_{M}|) are extracted and separated. For the first time, the energy dependence of the form factor ratio |G_{E}/G_{M}| is observed, which can be well described by an oscillatory function.

Abstract: The quantum entangled J/ψ→Σ^{+}Σ[over ¯]^{-} pairs from (1.0087±0.0044)×10^{10} J/ψ events taken by the BESIII detector are used to study the nonleptonic two-body weak decays Σ^{+}→nπ^{+} and Σ[over ¯]^{-}→n[over ¯]π^{-}. The CP-odd weak decay parameters of the decays Σ^{+}→nπ^{+} (α_{+}) and Σ[over ¯]^{-}→n[over ¯]π^{-} (α[over ¯]_{-}) are determined to be 0.0481±0.0031_{stat}±0.0019_{syst} and -0.0565±0.0047_{stat}±0.0022_{syst}, respectively. The decay parameter α[over ¯]_{-} is measured for the first time, and the accuracy of α_{+} is improved by a factor of 4 compared to the previous results. The simultaneously determined decay parameters allow the first precision CP symmetry test for any hyperon decay with a neutron in the final state with the measurement of A_{CP}=(α_{+}+α[over ¯]_{-})/(α_{+}-α[over ¯]_{-})=-0.080±0.052_{stat}±0.028_{syst}. Assuming CP conservation, the average decay parameter is determined as ⟨α_{+}⟩=(α_{+}-α[over ¯]_{-})/2=-0.0506±0.0026_{stat}±0.0019_{syst}, while the ratios α_{+}/α_{0} and α[over ¯]_{-}/α[over ¯]_{0} are -0.0490±0.0032_{stat}±0.0021_{syst} and -0.0571±0.0053_{stat}±0.0032_{syst}, where α_{0} and α[over ¯]_{0} are the decay parameters of the decays Σ^{+}→pπ^{0} and Σ[over ¯]^{-}→p[over ¯]π^{0}, respectively.

108. Changes in characteristics of inpatient respiratory conditions from 2019 to 2021 (before and during the COVID-19 pandemic).

Abstract: Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in an increase in the number of individuals with respiratory conditions that require hospitalization, posing new challenges for the healthcare system. Recent respiratory condition studies have been focused on the COVID-19 period, with no comparison of respiratory conditions before and during the pandemic. This study aimed to examine hospital-setting respiratory conditions regarding potential changes in length of stay (LOS), mortality, and total charge, as well as socioeconomic disparities before and during the pandemic., Methods: The study employed a pooled cross-sectional design based on the State Inpatient Data Nevada for 2019 (prior to the COVID-19 pandemic) and 2020-2021 (during the pandemic) and investigated all respiratory conditions, identified by the International Classification of Disease, 10th Revision codes ( n = 227,338). Descriptive analyses were carried out for the three years. Generalized linear regression models were used for multivariable analyses. Outcome measures were hospital LOS, mortality, and total charges., Results: A total of 227,338 hospitalizations with a respiratory condition were included. Hospitalizations with a respiratory condition increased from 65,896 in 2019 to 80,423 in 2020 and 81,018 in 2021. The average LOS also increased from 7.9 days in 2019 to 8.8 days in 2020 but decreased to 8.1 days in 2021; hospital mortality among patients with respiratory conditions increased from 7.7% in 2019 to 10.2% but decreased to 9.6% in 2021; and the total charges per discharge were $159,119, $162,151, and $161,733 from 2019 to 2021, respectively (after adjustment for the inflation rate). Hispanic, Asian, and other race patients with respiratory conditions were 1-3 times more likely than white patients to have higher mortality and LOS. Abstract: A narrow structure in the pΛ[over ¯] system near the mass threshold, named as X(2085), is observed in the process e^{+}e^{-}→pK^{-}Λ[over ¯] with a statistical significance greater than 20σ. Its spin and parity are determined for the first time to be J^{P}=1^{+} in an amplitude analysis, with a statistical significance greater than 5σ over other quantum numbers (0^{-},1^{-} and 2^{+}). The pole positions of X(2085) are measured to be M_{pole}=(2084_{-2}^{+4}±9) MeV and Γ_{pole}=(58_{-3}^{+4}±25) MeV, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second ones are systematic. The analysis is based on the study of the process e^{+}e^{-}→pK^{-}Λ[over ¯] and uses the data samples collected with the BESIII detector at the center-of-mass energies sqrt[s]=4.008, 4.178, 4.226, 4.258, 4.416, and 4.682 GeV with a total integrated luminosity of 8.35 fb^{-1}.

Abstract: The process e^{+}e^{-}→D_{s}^{*+}D_{s}^{*-} is studied with a semi-inclusive method using data samples at center-of-mass energies from threshold to 4.95 GeV collected with the BESIII detector operating at the Beijing Electron Positron Collider. The Born cross sections of the process are measured for the first time with high precision in this energy region. Two resonance structures are observed in the energy-dependent cross sections around 4.2 and 4.4 GeV. By fitting the cross sections with a coherent sum of three Breit-Wigner amplitudes and one phase-space amplitude, the two significant structures are assigned masses of (4186.8±8.7±30) and (4414.6±3.4±6.1) MeV/c^{2}, widths of (55±15±53) and (122.5±7.5±8.1) MeV, where the first errors are statistical and the second ones are systematic. The inclusion of a third Breit-Wigner amplitude is necessary to describe a structure around 4.79 GeV.

Abstract: Using 7.33 fb^{-1} of e^{+}e^{-} collision data taken with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we report the first experimental study of the purely leptonic decay D_{s}^{*+}→e^{+}ν_{e}. Our data contain a signal of this decay with a statistical significance of 2.9σ. The branching fraction of D_{s}^{*+}→e^{+}ν_{e} is measured to be (2.1_{-0.9_{stat}}^{+1.2}±0.2_{syst})×10^{-5}, corresponding to an upper limit of 4.0×10^{-5} at the 90% confidence level. Taking the total width of the D_{s}^{*+} [(0.070±0.028) keV] predicted with the radiative D_{s}^{*+} decay from the lattice QCD calculation as input, the decay constant of the D_{s}^{*+} is determined to be f_{D_{s}^{*+}}=(214_{-46_{stat}}^{+61}±44_{syst}) MeV, corresponding to an upper limit of 354 MeV at the 90% confidence level.

Abstract: We report on the first search for Λ[over ¯]-Λ oscillations in the decay J/ψ→pK^{-}Λ[over ¯]+c.c. by analyzing 1.31×10^{9} J/ψ events accumulated with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The J/ψ events are produced using e^{+}e^{-} collisions at a center of mass energy sqrt[s]=3.097 GeV. No evidence for hyperon oscillations is observed. The upper limit for the oscillation rate of Λ[over ¯] to Λ hyperons is determined to be P(Λ)=[B(J/ψ→pK^{-}Λ+c.c.)/B(J/ψ→pK^{-}Λ[over ¯]+c.c.)]<4.4×10^{-6} corresponding to an oscillation parameter δm_{ΛΛ[over ¯]} of less than 3.8×10^{-18} GeV at the 90% confidence level.

114. Study of Dietary Emodin on Immune Defense in Megalobrama amblycephala against Aeromonas hydrophila .

Abstract: This experiment aimed to investigate the effects of emodin on the total bacterial count and immune response in various tissues of Wuchang bream infected with A. hydrophila . The experimental diets were made by supplementing emodin at 0, 30, 100, and 150 mg kg -1 to basal (control) diet, respectively, and fed to fish with an initial weight of 50.4 ± 2.35 g. All fish were divided into five experimental groups: uninfected fish fed with basal control diet (negative control, NC), infected fish fed with the diet supplemented with 0 (positive control group, PC), 30 (30), 100 (100), and 150 mg/kg (150) of emodin. The fish were reared for 14 days and sampled at different time points. The results showed that the total bacterial count in the kidney, blood, and liver tissues of Wuchang bream infected with A. hydrophila was significantly affected by the supplementation and feeding time of emodin. At the beginning of the experiment, the difference in total bacterial count among the groups was not significant. On day 1, the total bacterial count in all groups was significantly higher ( p < 0.05) than that in the negative control group. On day 4, the total bacterial count in all the emodin groups was significantly reduced, and the best bactericidal effect was observed in the 100 mg kg -1 group. In addition, emodin had a significant effect on the immune response of Wuchang bream after infection with A. hydrophila ( p < 0.05). Compared with the other groups, the respiratory burst activity, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-1 (IL-1) content, and white blood cell count (WBC) in the 100 and 150 mg kg -1 groups could be restored to normal levels in the shortest time ( p < 0.05). Furthermore, this study also measured the complement alternative pathway activity (ACH 50 ), plasma superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity, and malondialdehyde (MDA) content of the fish. The results showed that supplying 100 mg kg -1 emodin to the diet could significantly ( p < 0.05) increase the ACH 50 activity of the fish. Compared with the positive control (PC) group, the addition of emodin to the diet can inhibit the decrease in SOD activity and the increase in MDA content in the plasma of infected Wuchang bream. In conclusion, supplying 100 mg kg -1 emodin to the diet can enhance the ability of Wuchang bream to resist A. hydrophila infection by reducing the total bacterial count in tissues, increasing the activity of related immune enzymes, and promoting the secretion of cytokines. This provides a theoretical basis for production practice.

115. [Ecological Toxic Effect of Perfluorinated Compounds on Fish Based on Meta-analysis].

Abstract: Perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are refractory organic pollutants, which are characterized by ubiquity, bioaccumulation, and biological toxicity. To explore the biotoxic effects of PFAS on fish, this study reviewed 64 publications. The toxicity of PFAS on functional traits of fish exposed to PFAS was analyzed based on Meta-analysis combined with effect sizes, which provided reference for the toxicity assessment of PFAS and was conducive to the priority control and management of PFAS pollution. The results showed that:① of the 12 functional traits studied, seven were found to be vulnerable in fish; the order of toxicity response was malformation (lnRR=-2.5599), development (lnRR=-0.4103), cell damage (lnRR=-0.3962), reproduction (lnRR=-0.3724), thyroid response (lnRR=-0.2492), growth (lnRR=-0.2194), and survival (lnRR=-0.2192). ② The aquatic toxicity of PFAS was significantly affected by the sex and developmental stage of fish. PFAS tended to have adverse effects on female fish (lnRR=-0.1628), and the physiological function of embryos was most significantly affected by PFAS (lnRR=-0.3553). ③ A total of 13 PFAS were involved in the study, among which PFAS with sulfonate groups and long-chains were more likely to have significant toxicity to the functional traits of fish ( P <0.05).④ Existing data revealed that PFAS tended to produce acute toxicity to fish at medium and low concentrations (0.01-10 mg·L -1 , P <0.05).

116. Clinical and pathological characteristics of acute kidney injury caused by diquat poisoning.

Abstract: Introduction : Diquat poisoning leads to kidney injury, hepatotoxicity, rhabdomyolysis, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, and respiratory failure. Diquat has high mortality and no specific antidote. The pathology of acute kidney injury caused by diquat poisoning has been mainly investigated in animal studies and autopsies, and typically shows renal tubular necrosis. To our knowledge, antemortem renal biopsy has not been reported in humans. Case reports : Two males and one female presented following deliberate diquat self-poisoning. Their main clinical manifestations were abdominal pain, nausea, and emesis. All developed acute kidney injury. Kidney biopsy was performed in two cases which showed acute tubular necrosis with renal interstitial edema and multifocal inflammatory cell infiltration. Treatments given included gastric lavage, catharsis, early hemoperfusion combined with continuous kidney replacement therapy or hemodialysis, administration of glucocorticoids, and antioxidant therapy. All patients survived. Discussion : Despite potentially lethal ingestions three patients survived oral diquat poisoning with intensive supportive care. No clear relationship can be made between any of the therapies given and patient outcome. Conclusions: Kidney biopsy in these patients confirmed proximal renal tubular injury was the major pathological finding although interstitial injury was also present. The role of therapies that address renal pathology requires further study.

117. Dipicolinic acid enhances kiwifruit resistance to Botrytis cinerea by promoting phenolics accumulation.

Abstract: Background: Kiwifruit is highly susceptible to fungal pathogens, such as Botrytis cinerea, which reduce crop production and quality. In this study, dipicolinic acid (DPA), which is one of the main components of Bacillus spores, was evaluated as a new elicitor to enhance kiwifruit resistance to B. cinerea., Results: DPA enhances antioxidant capacity and induces the accumulation of phenolics in B. cinerea-infected 'Xuxiang' kiwifruit. The contents of the main antifungal phenolics in kiwifruit, including caffeic acid, chlorogenic acid and isoferulic acid, increased after DPA treatment. DPA enhanced H 2 O 2 levels after 0 and 1 days, which promoted catalase (CAT) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activities, reducing long-term H 2 O 2 levels. DPA promoted the up-regulation of several kiwifruit defense genes, including CERK1, MPK3, PR1-1, PR1-2, PR5-1 and PR5-2. Furthermore, DPA at 5 mM inhibited B. cinerea symptoms in kiwifruit (95.1% lesion length inhibition) more effectively than the commercial fungicides carbendazim, difenoconazole, prochloraz and thiram., Conclusions: The antioxidant properties of DPA and the main antifungal phenolics of kiwifruit were examined for the first time. 118. [Changes in Ozone Pollution Trend Characteristics and Sensitivity in Jinan from 2015 to 2020].

Abstract: The surface ozone (O 3 ) spatiotemporal distribution, variations, and its causes in Ji'nan from 2015 to 2020 were revealed based on the air quality monitoring network data and satellite retrievals from the Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI). The results showed that the ozone concentration in Ji'nan gradually increased from 2015 to 2020. The annual 90 th percentile of the daily maximum 8-h average (MDA8) O 3 (namely the annual evaluation value) and the MDA8 O 3 (April-September) increased by 4.8 μg·(m 3 ·a) -1 and 3.8 μg·(m 3 ·a) -1 , respectively. The trend of the ozone levels in the high-concentration range increased faster than that in the low-concentration range. The MDA8 in June increased by 7.4 μg·(m 3 ·a) -1 , and the rate range of increases was 2.6-3.9 μg·(m 3 ·a) -1 in the cool seasons (December-February); thus, the O 3 control in winter cannot be ignored. It is apparent from the diurnal variations in ozone from 2015 to 2020 in April-September that the average ozone levels have risen in recent years. The growth rate in the daytime was higher than that at night. The capacity of photochemical production has been increasing, especially in recent years. Additionally, it is noteworthy that the peak time for ozone levels occurred approximately 1-2 h earlier. The disparity of ozone concentrations among different stations gradually decreased in recent years. Compared with that in 2015, the range of areas with high O 3 concentrations in 2019-2020 was further expanded. The significant positive trends in MDA8-90 th and MDA8 (April-September) were observed in 16.1% and 22.6% of the monitoring sites in Ji'nan ( P <0.05), most of which were located in urban areas and the suburbs close to urban areas. The temporal and spatial changes in ozone in Jinan had been affected by the changes in VOCs and NO x emissions since 2015. Satellite remote sensing data from 2015 to 2020 revealed that the NO 2 tropospheric columns (April-September) showed reductions of 20.6%, with a decreasing rate of 0.3×10 15 mole·(cm 2 ·a) -1 , especially in the urban areas and suburbs. The detected variation trends of tropospheric HCHO were weak and insignificant, which suggested that the decrease in NO x emissions was much greater than the decrease in VOCs emissions, and the gap had become more obvious in the urban areas. With responses to precursor emissions, the chemical sensitivity of O 3 formation had been changing. The VOCs-limited regimes continuously decreased, and the mixed NO x /VOCs-sensitive regimes and NO x -limited regimes increased. In general, such an extremely inappropriate control ratio of ozone precursor NO x /VOCs led to an overall trend of slow increasing fluctuations of O 3 in Ji'nan. The findings clearly indicate that the reduction of VOCs in Ji'nan was far from sufficient, and strengthening the current control of VOCs emissions is an effective measure to control the growth trend of O 3 pollution in Ji'nan in the near future, especially in urban and surrounding suburban areas.

The purpose is to understand how the world's top hospitals develop the use of mission, vision and values in their "day-to-day management" and this may help other hospitals to develop their mission, vision and value effectively., Methods: This paper collects and discusses the approaches of the world's top five hospitals in mission, vision and value through a qualitative analysis method. Documents for the study were collected from the publicly available information of the five hospitals, including their websites, annual reports, and relevant academic literature published in English on Google Scholar, PubMed, Medline, and Web of Science., Results: These five hospitals have similarities and differences in the development of their missions, visions and values, which are worthy of study by other hospitals. The setting of a mission is a useful reflection of the hospital's focus and direction showing the social responsibility and sustainability of the hospital. The development of a vision has a guiding role in the equity and development of patients and employees and can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of hospital management and ensure the quality of services. The elaboration of values can greatly help hospitals to develop strategic plans and improve daily management., Conclusion: The top five hospitals in the world have several common valuable cultures in their missions, visions, and values, regardless of the properties of the hospitals or their management models. Abstract: Background: We visually assessed the research hotspots of familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) using bibliometrics and knowledge mapping in light of the research state and development trend of FH., Methods: We employed bibliometric tools, such as CiteSpace and the alluvial generator, to illustrate the scientific accomplishments on FH by extracting pertinent literature on FH from the Web of Science Core Collection database from January 1, 2002, to December 31, 2022., Results: A total of 4402 papers in total were selected for study; 29.2% of all articles globally were from the USA, followed by the Netherlands and England. The University of Amsterdam, University of Oslo, and University of Western Australia are the 3 institutions with the most publications in this area. Gerald F. Watts, Raul D. Santos, and John J. P. Kastelein wrote the majority of the pieces that were published. The New England Journal of Medicine, Circulation, and Atherosclerosis were the journals with the greatest number of papers in this field. Prevalence and genetic analysis of FH, proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin 9 inhibitors, and inclisiran are current research hotspots for the condition. Future research in this area will be focused on gene therapy., Conclusions: FH research has shown shows a trend of ascending followed by leveling off. The prevalence and diagnosis of FH, proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin 9 inhibitors, inclisiran, and gene therapy are current research hotspots. Abstract: Using (1.0087±0.0044)×10^{10} J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage ring, the process Ξ^{0}n→Ξ^{-}p is studied, where the Ξ^{0} baryon is produced in the process J/ψ→Ξ^{0}Ξ[over ¯]^{0} and the neutron is a component of the ^{9}Be, ^{12}C, and ^{197}Au nuclei in the beam pipe. A clear signal is observed with a statistical significance of 7.1σ. The cross section of the reaction Ξ^{0}+^{9}Be→Ξ^{-}+p+^{8}Be is determined to be σ(Ξ^{0}+^{9}Be→Ξ^{-}+p+^{8}Be)=(22.1±5.3_{stat}±4.5_{sys}) mb at the Ξ^{0} momentum of 0.818 GeV/c, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. No significant H-dibaryon signal is observed in the Ξ^{-}p final state. This is the first study of hyperon-nucleon interactions in electron-positron collisions and opens up a new direction for such research.

Abstract: Based on electron positron collision data collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage rings, the differential cross sections of inclusive π^{0} and K_{S}^{0} production as a function of hadron momentum, normalized by the total cross section of the e^{+}e^{-}→hadrons process, are measured at six center-of-mass energies from 2.2324 to 3.6710 GeV. Our results, which cover a relative hadron energy range from 0.1 to 0.9, significantly deviate from several theoretical calculations based on existing fragmentation functions.

Abstract: Using (10 087±44)×10^{6} J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector, the radiative hyperon decay Σ^{+}→pγ is studied at an electron-positron collider experiment for the first time. The absolute branching fraction is measured to be (0.996±0.021_{stat}±0.018_{syst})×10^{-3}, which is lower than its world average value by 4.2 standard deviations. Its decay asymmetry parameter is determined to be -0.652±0.056_{stat}±0.020_{syst}. The branching fraction and decay asymmetry parameter are the most precise to date, and the accuracies are improved by 78% and 34%, respectively.

124. The benefit of vegetarian diets for reducing blood pressure in Taiwan: a historically prospective cohort study.

Abstract: Objective: Past vegetarians research has often found that they have lower blood pressure (BP). Effects may include their lower BMI and higher intake levels of fruit and vegetables. Besides, the study pursues to extend this evidence in a diverse population containing vegans, lacto-ovo vegetarians and omnivores., Design: The study analyzed data on five hundred vigorous individuals aged 20 years or older from a standard medical screening program and provided validated questionnaire. Criteria were established for vegan, lacto-ovo vegetarian, partial vegetarian and omnivorous dietary patterns., Setting: Health screening programs were conducted at a standard medical screening program in Taiwan between 2006 and 2017. Dietary data were gathered by self-administered questionnaire., Subjects: Five hundred Taiwanese subjects representing the cohort., Results: Multiple regression analyses confirmed that the vegan vegetarians had lower systolic and diastolic BP (mmHg) than omnivorous Taiwanese (β = - 6.8, p < 0.05 and β = - 6.9, p < 0.001). Findings for lacto-ovo vegetarians (β = - 9.1, p < 0.001 and β = - 5.8, p < 0.001) were similar. The vegetarians were also less likely to be using antihypertensive medications. Defining hypertension as systolic BP > 139 mmHg or diastolic BP > 89 mmHg or routine of antihypertensive medications, the odds ratio of hypertension compared with omnivores was 0.37 (95% CI = 0.19-0.74), 0.57 (95% CI = 0.36-0.92) and 0.92 (95% CI = 0.50-1.70), respectively, for vegans, lacto-ovo vegetarians and partial vegetarians. Results were reduced after adjustment for BMI., Conclusions: The study concludes from this relatively large study that vegetarians, especially vegans, with otherwise diverse characteristics but stable diets, do have lower systolic and diastolic BP and less hypertension than omnivores., (© 2023. Abstract: We present the first measurements of the electric and magnetic form factors of the neutron in the timelike (positive q^{2}) region as function of four-momentum transfer. We explored the differential cross sections of the reaction e^{+}e^{-}→n[over ¯]n with data collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII accelerator, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 354.6 pb^{-1} in total at twelve center-of-mass energies between sqrt[s]=2.0-2.95 GeV. A relative uncertainty of 18% and 12% for the electric and magnetic form factors, respectively, is achieved at sqrt[s]=2.3935 GeV. Our results are comparable in accuracy to those from electron scattering in the comparable spacelike region of four-momentum transfer. The electromagnetic form factor ratio R_{em}≡|G_{E}|/|G_{M}| is within the uncertainties close to unity. We compare our result on |G_{E}| and |G_{M}| to recent model predictions, and the measurements in the spacelike region to test the analyticity of electromagnetic form factors.

Abstract: Using 4.7 fb^{-1} of e^{+}e^{-} collision data at center-of-mass energies from 4.661 to 4.951 GeV collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we observe the X(3872) production process e^{+}e^{-}→ωX(3872) for the first time. The significance is 7.8σ, including both the statistical and systematic uncertainties. The e^{+}e^{-}→ωX(3872) Born cross section and the corresponding upper limit at 90% confidence level at each energy point are reported. The line shape of the cross section indicates that the ωX(3872) signals may be from the decays of some nontrivial structures.

Abstract: Objective: To investigate the mechanism of and potential contributing factors to temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis (TMJOA) caused by oestrogen deficiency with a persistent high bite force., Materials and Methods: A TMJOA model was generated by subjecting 6-week-old female rats to ovariectomy (OVX) and feeding them a hard feed. The rats (n = 12/group) were divided into sham (control); OVX; OVX+hard feed (HF); OVX+hard feed+local-joint injection of 17β-oestradiol (an oestrogen) (E2); and OVX+hard feed+local-joint injection of rapamycin (an autophagy activator) (RAPA)groups. Condyles were stained with haematoxylin-eosin and Safranin O Fast Green. The expression of Beclin 1, LC3 and p-mTOR in condylar cartilages was analysed., Results: Tissue staining revealed thinner condylar cartilage, varying numbers or fewer hypertrophic chondrocytes, and lower proteoglycan content in the cartilage matrix of the OVX group. These characteristics were more pronounced in the HF group, but were significantly recovered in the E2 and RAPA groups. Immunohistochemical staining revealed significantly lower autophagic flux in OVX/HF groups and a higher one in E2/RAPA groups., Conclusions: A persistent high bite force could aggravate TMJOA induced by oestrogen deficiency, and the application of oestrogen or rapamycin could delay its progression. Abstract: Necroptosis is a form of regulated necrosis involved in various pathological diseases. The process of necroptosis is controlled by receptor-interacting kinase 1 (RIPK1), RIPK3, and pseudokinase mixed lineage kinase domain-like protein (MLKL), and pharmacological inhibition of these kinases has been shown to have therapeutic potentials in a variety of diseases. In this study, using drug repurposing strategy combined with high-throughput screening (HTS), we discovered that AZD4547, a previously reported FGFR inhibitor, is able to interfere with necroptosis through direct targeting of RIPK1 kinase. In both human and mouse cell models, AZD4547 blocked RIPK1-dependent necroptosis. In addition, AZD4547 rescued animals from TNF-induced lethal shock and inflammatory responses. Together, our study demonstrates that AZD4547 is a potent and selective inhibitor of RIPK1 with therapeutic potential for the treatment of inflammatory disorders that involve necroptosis., (© 2022. 129. Identification of a cuproptosis and copper metabolism gene-related lncRNAs prognostic signature associated with clinical and immunological characteristics of hepatocellular carcinoma.

Abstract: Background: The relationship between cuproptosis and HCC is still in the exploratory stage. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have recently been linked to the progression of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, the clinical significance of lncRNAs associated with cuproptosis remains unclear., Methods: Based on The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC) dataset, we identified characteristic prognostic lncRNAs by univariate, LASSO, and multifactorial regression analysis, and constructed a prognostic signature of cuproptosis-related lncRNAs in HCC. The role of lncRNAs were identified through CCK-8, clone formation in Huh-7 cells with high expression of FDX1. Prognostic potential of the characteristic lncRNAs was evaluated in each of the two cohorts created by randomly dividing the TCGA cohort into a training cohort and a test cohort in a 1:1 ratio. Immune profiles in defined subgroups of cuproptosis-related lncRNA features as well as drug sensitivity were analyzed., Results: We constructed a multigene signature based on four characteristic prognostic lncRNAs (AL590705.3, LINC02870, KDM4A-AS1, MKLN1-AS). These four lncRNAs participated in the development of cuproptosis. HCC patients were classified into high-risk and low-risk groups based on the median value of the risk score. The receiver operating characteristic curve area under the curve values for 1-, 3-, and 5-year survival were 0.773, 0.728, and 0.647, respectively, for the training cohort, and 0.764, 0.671, and 0.662, respectively, for the test cohort. Univariate and multifactorial regression analyses indicated that this prognostic feature was an independent prognostic factor for HCC. Principal component analysis plots clearly distinguished between low- and high-risk patients in terms of their probability of survival. Furthermore, gene set enrichment analysis showed that a variety of processes associated with tumor proliferation and progression were enriched in the high-risk group compared with the low-risk group. Moreover, there were significant differences in the expression of immune cell subpopulations, immune checkpoint genes, and potential drug screening, which provided distinct therapeutic recommendations for individuals with various risks., Conclusions: We constructed a novel cuproptosis-associated lncRNA signature with a significant predictive value for the prognosis of patients with HCC. Abstract: The Born cross sections of the process e^{+}e^{-}→D^{*0}D^{*-}π^{+} at center-of-mass energies from 4.189 to 4.951 GeV are measured for the first time. The data samples used correspond to an integrated luminosity of 17.9 fb^{-1} and were collected by the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring. Three enhancements around 4.20, 4.47, and 4.67 GeV are visible. The resonances have masses of 4209.6±4.7±5.9 MeV/c^{2}, 4469.1±26.2±3.6 MeV/c^{2}, and 4675.3±29.5±3.5 MeV/c^{2} and widths of 81.6±17.8±9.0 MeV, 246.3±36.7±9.4 MeV, and 218.3±72.9±9.3 MeV, respectively, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. The first and third resonances are consistent with the ψ(4230) and ψ(4660) states, respectively, while the second one is compatible with the ψ(4500) observed in the e^{+}e^{-}→K^{+}K^{-}J/ψ process. These three charmoniumlike ψ states are observed in the e^{+}e^{-}→D^{*0}D^{*-}π^{+} process for the first time.

131. Standardized rate of hospitalization for violent injuries among different generations in counties and cities in Taiwan from 2000 to 2015.

Abstract: This study aimed to understand the distribution of the standardized rate of hospitalization for violent injuries in counties and cities in Taiwan. The ICD-9 diagnosis code N-codes 995.5 (abused child) and 995.8 (abused adult) or E-code E960-E969 (homicide and intentional injury by others) were defined as research cases. The study analyzed the standardized medical treatment rate of children and adolescents aged 0 to 17, adults aged 18 to 64, and older adults over 65 years old suffering from violence for the first time. During the 15-year period, the counties and cities with the highest rate of medical treatment for violent injuries among children (unit: per 105 people) were Pingtung County (33.1 males, 22.9 females), Lienchiang County (8.8 males, 9.8 females), and New Taipei City (8.2 males, 8.8 females). For adults, Pingtung County (73.2 males, 36.8 females), New Taipei City (26.0 males, 14.3 females), and Yunlin County (19.7 males, 7.7 females) registered the highest rates. For older adults, Pingtung County (33.6 persons), New Taipei City (12.5 persons), Yun Lin County (11.2 persons), and Taichung City (9.2 persons) registered the highest rates. The highest rates of older female adults receiving treatment were recorded in Pingtung County (15.1 persons), Yunlin County (9.0 persons), Taichung City (5.5 persons), and New Taipei City (5.1 persons). With the Poisson regression model, the relative risk ratio of seeking medical care owing to violence in Pingtung County (reference: Taipei City) was 25.1 times for children, 20.1 times for adults, and 11.7 times for older adults. The counties and cities with higher rates of violent medical treatment for adults and older adults during the 15-year period were Pingtung County, New Taipei City, and Yunlin County. For children and adolescents, Pingtung County, Lienchiang County, and New Taipei City recorded the highest rates. Pingtung County had the highest risk of sexual violence. Abstract: Two-dimensional liquid chromatography (2D-LC) has gained increased attention because of its high peak capacity for separating complex samples. However, preparative 2D-LC aimed at isolating compounds is significantly different compared with one-dimensional liquid chromatography (1D-LC) in terms of method development and system configuration; thus, it is less developed than its analytical counterpart. The use of 2D-LC in large-scale product preparation has rarely been reported. Hence, a preparative 2D-LC system was developed in this study. The system was composed of one set of preparative LC modules as a separation system, with a dilution pump, switch valves, and trap column array as the interface, to enable the simultaneous isolation of several compounds. Tobacco was used as a sample, and the developed system was applied to isolate nicotine, chlorogenic acid, rutin, and solanesol. The chromatographic conditions were developed by investigating the trapping efficiency of different types of trap column packings, and chromatographic behaviors under different overload conditions. The four compounds were isolated in one 2D-LC run with high purity. The developed system features low cost because it employs medium-pressure isolation, excellent automation owing to its use of an online column switch, high stability, and capability for large-scale production. The isolation of chemicals from tobacco leaves as pharmaceutical raw materials could aid in the development of the tobacco industry and promote the local agricultural economy.

Abstract: Using a sample of 4.3×10^{5} η^{'}→ηπ^{0}π^{0} events selected from the ten billion J/ψ event dataset collected with the BESIII detector, we study the decay η^{'}→ηπ^{0}π^{0} within the framework of nonrelativistic effective field theory. Evidence for a structure at π^{+}π^{-} mass threshold is observed in the invariant mass spectrum of π^{0}π^{0} with a statistical significance of around 3.5σ, which is consistent with the cusp effect as predicted by the nonrelativistic effective field theory. After introducing the amplitude for describing the cusp effect, the ππ scattering length combination a_{0}-a_{2} is determined to be 0.226±0.060_{stat}±0.013_{syst}, which is in good agreement with theoretical calculation of 0.2644±0.0051.

134. Effects of polystyrene nanoplastics on the physiological and biochemical characteristics of microalga Scenedesmusquadricauda.

Abstract: The contamination of the aquatic environment with microplastics has become a global environmental concern. Microplastic particles can be shredded to form smaller nanoplastics, and knowledge on their impacts on phytoplankton, especially freshwater microalgae, is still limited. To investigate this issue, the microalga Scenedesmus quadricauda was exposed to polystyrene nanoplastics (PS-NPs) of five concentrations (10, 25, 50, 100, and 200 mg/L). The growth; the contents of antioxidant enzymes superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), and peroxidase (POD); the chlorophyll content; and concentrations of soluble protein and soluble polysaccharide were accordingly measured. The results showed that the microalgal density increased with the increase of the polystyrene nanoplastic concentrations, and the physiological features of alga were enhanced after the stimulation of nanoplastics. Furthermore, a high concentration (200 mg/L) of nanoplastics increased the contents of chlorophyll, soluble protein, and polysaccharide (P < 0.05). The antioxidant enzyme activities of Scenedesmus quadricauda were significantly activated by nanoplastics. Lastly, we propose three possible algal recovery mechanisms in response to nanoplastics in which Scenedesmus quadricauda was tolerant with PS-NPs by cell wall thickening, internalization, and aggregation. Abstract: Background: Hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury (HIRI) is a common complication of liver surgeries, such as hepatectomy and liver transplantation. In recent years, several non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) including long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) and microRNAs (miRNAs) have been identified as factors involved in the pathological progression of HIRI. In this review, we summarized the latest research on lncRNAs, miRNAs and the lncRNA-miRNA regulatory networks in HIRI., Data Sources: The PubMed and Web of Science databases were searched for articles published up to December 2021 using the following keywords: "hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury", "lncRNA", "long non-coding RNA", "miRNA" and "microRNA". The bibliography of the selected articles was manually screened to identify additional studies., Results: The mechanism of HIRI is complex, and involves multiple lncRNAs and miRNAs. The roles of lncRNAs such as AK139328, CCAT1, MALAT1, TUG1 and NEAT1 have been established in HIRI. In addition, numerous miRNAs are associated with apoptosis, autophagy, oxidative stress and cellular inflammation that accompany HIRI pathogenesis. Based on the literature, we conclude that four lncRNA-miRNA regulatory networks mediate the pathological progression of HIRI. Furthermore, the expression levels of some lncRNAs and miRNAs undergo significant changes during the progression of HIRI, and thus are potential prognostic markers and therapeutic targets., Conclusions: Complex lncRNA-miRNA-mRNA networks regulate HIRI progression through mutual activation and antagonism. 137. A bibliometric analysis on the progress of myocardial bridge from 1980 to 2022.

Abstract: Introduction: Although the vast majority of patients with a myocardial bridge (MB) are asymptomatic, the anomaly was found to be associated with stable or unstable angina, vasospastic angina, acute coronary syndrome, and even malignant arrhythmias and sudden cardiac death in some cases., Methods: By retrieving the relevant literature on MB from 1 January 1980 to 31 July 2022 from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) database, we used the bibliometric tools, including CiteSpace, VOS viewer, and alluvial generator, to visualize the scientific achievements on MB., Results: A total of 630 articles were included. The number of published articles was in a fluctuating growth trend. These publications came from 37 contries, led by the USA and China. The leading country on MB was the United States, the leading position among institutions was Stanford University, and the most productive researcher on MB was Jennifer A. Tremmel. After analysis, the most common keywords were myocardial bridge, mortality, coronary angiography, descending coronary artery, and sudden death., Conclusion: Our findings can aid researchers in understanding the current state of MB research and in choosing fresh lines of inquiry for forthcoming investigations. Prevalence and prognosis, mechanism atherosclerosis, hemodynamic significance, and molecular autops will likely become the focus of future research. 138. Organisational Culture Research in Healthcare: A Big Data Bibliometric Study.

Abstract: Across international healthcare, organisational culture and work environment have become central to all patient safety. However, there is a lack of comprehensive overview to assess and track the evolution of the literature on organisational culture in healthcare. This study aims to describe the current situation and global trends in organisational culture research in healthcare. The methodology is based on bibliometric mapping using scientific visualisation software (CiteSpace and VOSviewer). The big data were collected from the Web of Science core citation database. After applying the search criteria, we retrieved 1559 publications, which have steadily increased over the last two decades. In addition, 92 countries and regions have published studies on organisational culture in healthcare. The United States has made significant contributions to this field. In particular, organisational culture occupies an important position in the quality management of different types of care and caregiving. At the same time, organisational culture in healthcare may be inadequately researched in terms of theoretical underpinnings, which in turn leads to a lack of widespread dissemination of practice, and research on organisational culture in healthcare through evidence-based medicine may remain a significant focus and hot topic throughout the research field in the coming years., Competing Interests: We declare no competing interests. 139. Combined effects of prenatal phthalate exposure on cardiometabolic risk score among 4- to 7-year-old children: MABC study.

Abstract: There is currently no consensus about the impact of prenatal phthalate exposure on blood pressure and glycolipids in children. Few studies consider the health effects as an integrated indicator. The combined effect of multiple phthalate exposures is often ignored. Based on the Ma'anshan Birth Cohort, 2298 woman-child pairs were included in this study. Maternal urine was collected in each trimester to analyze 6 phthalate metabolites. The overall cardiometabolic risk (CMR) score was calculated based on serum glycolipids and blood pressure for children aged 4-7 years. A higher score represents a less favorable CMR profile. The restricted cubic spline model was used to explore the relationship between prenatal phthalate exposure and childhood CMR score. In addition, the quantile g-computation and the Bayesian kernel machine regression were used to evaluate the combined effect. The MBP exposure in the 1st trimester (MBP-1st) and the MEP-2nd were non-linearly associated with the CMR score (F nonlinear = 3.28 and 5.60, P nonlinear = 0.0378 and 0.0038, respectively). The MBP-3rd (F linear = 5.31, P linear = 0.0012) and the ∑LMWP-3rd (F linear = 4.37, P linear = 0.0045) were negatively associated with the score in a linear manner. The phthalate mixture in the 2nd trimester increased the score (psil = 0.1747, 95% CI = 0.0077-0.3416), with the MEP being the most common [weights = 0.5290; posterior inclusion probability (PIP) = 0.40]. The phthalate mixture in the 3rd trimester decreased the score (psil = -0.2024, 95% CI = -0.4097－0.0048), with the MEHP (weights = -0.5101; PIP = 0.14) and the MBP (weights = -0.3993, PIP = 1.00) being the greatest contributors. In conclusion, the MBP-1st and the MEP-2nd are non-linearly associated with the cardiometabolic risk in children. The MBP-3rd and the ∑LMWP-3rd decrease the childhood risk. 140. Air quality improvement assessment and exposure risk of Shandong Province in China during 2014 to 2020.

Abstract: As one of the most polluted provinces in China, air pollution events occur frequently in Shandong. Based on the hourly (or daily) concentrations of six air pollutants (PM 2.5 , PM 10 , O 3 , NO 2 , SO 2 and CO), the situations of air quality improvement in three kinds of cities (key cities, coastal cities and general cities) are assessed comprehensively during 2014-2020. Contrary to the daily maximum 8-h average ozone (MDA8 O 3 ), the annual average concentrations of other pollutants show the downward trends during 2014-2020. Therein, the improvement rates of annual average concentrations of air pollutants in key cities are highest. By 2020, the day proportions of O 3 as the primary pollutant are up to 38% in three kinds of cities. Besides, due to the impact of COVID-19, the monthly average concentrations of PM 2.5 , PM 10 , NO 2 , SO 2 and CO in February 2020 decrease by 32.1-49.5% year-on-year. There are still about 50% of population exposed to high-risk regions ( R i > 2), which are mainly concentrated in main urban areas and industrial areas. Abstract: Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the sixth most commonly diagnosed cancer and third leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide in 2020. Exosomes derived from cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs-exo) can promote tumor progression in various human cancers. However, the underlying regulatory mechanism controlling how CAFs-exo can promote HCC progression remains poorly understood., Methods: CAFs and para-cancer fibroblasts (PAFs) were isolated from HCC tissues and corresponding para-cancer tissues, then were cultured in vitro. CAFs and PAFs were characterized by immunofluorescence and western blot (WB) assays. Exosomes were isolated by ultracentrifugation, and characterized by transmission electron microscopy, nanoflow cytometry, and WB assay. The internalization of exosomes by HCC cells was observed under a fluorescence microscope. Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) assay was used to evaluate cell proliferation. Wound healing and transwell assays were used for migration and invasion experiments. RT-PCR assay was used to examine differentially expressed microRNAs (miRNAs) in exosomes and HCC cells. The TargetScan database was used to predict miRNA target genes. Hedgehog interacting protein (HHIP) expression analysis, prognostic analysis, and enrichment analysis of HHIP-related co-expressed genes were performed using the TIMER, UALCAN, Kaplan-Meier plotter, and LinkedOmics databases., Results: CAFs-exo were internalized by HCC cells. CAFs-exo contributed to the aggressive phenotype of HCC cells, while inhibiting exosome secretion reversed these effects. Mechanistically, miRNAs in the DLK1-DIO3 imprinted region (miR-329-3p, miR-380-3p, miR-410-5p, miR-431-5p) were increased in HCC cells co-cultured with CAFs-exo compared with PAFs-exo. Expression of HHIP, a possible miR-431-5p target gene, was significantly downregulated in HCC cells. Low HHIP expression level in tumor tissues could predict poor prognosis in HCC patients. HHIP-related co-expressed genes were mainly associated with cell adhesion molecules., Conclusions: CAFs-exo can promote HCC progression by delivering miRNAs in the DLK1-DIO3 imprinted region to HCC cells, subsequently inhibiting HHIP expression. 142. Adult abuse and poor prognosis in Taiwan, 2000-2015: a cohort study.

Abstract: Background: To investigate the risk of poor prognosis regarding schizophrenic disorders, psychotic disorders, suicide, self-inflicted injury, and mortality after adult violence from 2000 to 2015 in Taiwan., Methods: This study used data from National Health Insurance Research Database (NHIRD) on outpatient, emergency, and inpatient visits for two million people enrolled in the National Health Insurance (NHI) from 2000 to 2015. The case study defined ICD-9 diagnosis code N code 995.8 (abused adult) or E code E960-E969 (homicide and intentional injury of another). It analyzed first-time violence in adults aged 18-64 years (study group). 1:4 ratio was matched with injury and non-violent patients (control group). The paired variables were sex, age (± 1 year), pre-exposure to the Charlson comorbidity index, and year of medical treatment. Statistical analysis was conducted using SAS 9.4 and Cox regression for data analysis., Results: In total, 8,726 individuals experienced violence (case group) while34,904 did not experienced violence (control group) over 15 years. The prevalence of poor prognosis among victims of violence was 25.4/10 4 , 31.3/10 4 , 10.5/10, 4 and 104.6/10 4 for schizophrenic disorders, psychotic disorders, suicide or self-inflicted injury and mortality, respectively. Among adults, the risks of suicide or self-inflicted injury, schizophrenic disorders, psychotic disorders, and mortality after exposure to violence (average 9 years) were 6.87-, 5.63-, 4.10-, and 2.50-times (p < 0.01), respectively, compared with those without violence. Among males, the risks were 5.66-, 3.85-, 3.59- and 2.51-times higher, respectively, than those without violence (p < 0.01), and they were 21.93-, 5.57-, 4.60- and 2.46-times higher than those without violence (p < 0.01) among females., Conclusion: The risk of poor prognosis regarding schizophrenic disorders, psychotic disorders, suicide, or self-inflicted injury and mortality after adult violence was higher than in those who have not experienced a violent injury. Adults at the highest risk for violent suicide or self-inflicted injuries due to exposure to violent injuries -males were at risk for schizophrenia and females were at risk for suicide or self-inflicted injuries. Abstract: The study of the Cabibbo-favored semileptonic decay Λ_{c}^{+}→Λe^{+}ν_{e} is reported using a 4.5 fb^{-1} data sample of e^{+}e^{-} annihilations collected at center-of-mass energies ranging from 4.600 GeV to 4.699 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The branching fraction of the decay is measured to be B(Λ_{c}^{+}→Λe^{+}ν_{e})=(3.56±0.11_{stat}±0.07_{syst})%, which is the most precise measurement to date. Furthermore, we perform an investigation of the internal dynamics in Λ_{c}^{+}→Λe^{+}ν_{e}. We provide the first direct comparisons of the differential decay rate and form factors with those predicted from lattice quantum chromodynamics (LQCD) calculations. Combining the measured branching fraction with a q^{2}-integrated rate predicted by LQCD, we determine |V_{cs}|=0.936±0.017_{B}±0.024_{LQCD}±0.007_{τ_{Λ_{c}}}.

Abstract: The radiative hyperon decay Λ→nγ is studied using (10087±44)×10^{6} J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector operating at BEPCII. The absolute branching fraction of the decay Λ→nγ is determined to be (0.832±0.038_{stat}±0.054_{syst})×10^{-3}, which is a factor of 2.1 lower and 5.6 standard deviations different than the previous measurement. By analyzing the joint angular distribution of the decay products, the first determination of the decay asymmetry α_{γ} is reported with a value of -0.16±0.10_{stat}±0.05_{syst}.

145. Effect of Hand Hygiene Intervention in Community Kindergartens: A Quasi-Experimental Study.

Abstract: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of hand hygiene interventions on the overall hand hygiene (HH) status of teaching instruction of hand hygiene in kindergartens, given the vulnerability of kindergarten children and their high risk due to infectious diseases and the current COVID-19 epidemic. We investigated the HH status of teachers from two kindergartens in the same community. The participants were recruited from 28 classes in both kindergartens. After completing the baseline survey, the intervention program consisted of three components: lectures on infectious diseases, lectures on HH, and seven-step hand washing techniques conducted in two kindergartens. The intervention program effectively increased teachers' perceived disease susceptibility ( p < 0.05), reduced the total bacterial colonization of children's hands ( p < 0.001), and improved the HH environment ( p < 0.01). We recommend that health authorities or kindergartens adopt this HH intervention program to effectively improve the HH status in kindergartens and allow for preventive responses to the COVID-19 epidemic or other emerging infectious diseases.

Abstract: Using e^{+}e^{-} annihilation data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6.32 fb^{-1} collected at center-of-mass energies between 4.178 and 4.226 GeV with the BESIII detector, we perform the first amplitude analysis of the decay D_{s}^{+}→K_{S}^{0}K^{+}π^{0} and determine the relative branching fractions and phases for intermediate processes. We observe an a_{0}-like state with mass of 1.817 GeV in its decay to K_{S}^{0}K^{+} for the first time. In addition, we measure the ratio {B[D_{s}^{+}→K[over ¯]^{*}(892)^{0}K^{+}]/B[D_{s}^{+}→K[over ¯]^{0}K^{*}(892)^{+}]} to be 2.35_{-0.23stat}^{+0.42}±0.10_{syst}. Finally, we provide a precision measurement of the absolute branching fraction B(D_{s}^{+}→K_{S}^{0}K^{+}π^{0})=(1.46±0.06_{stat}±0.05_{syst})%.

147. Epidemiology and risk factors for notifiable Clostridium botulinum infections in Taiwan from 2003 to 2020.

Abstract: Botulinum toxin is produced by Clostridium botulinum, a gram-positive anaerobic bacterium. This study aimed to examine the epidemiological characteristics, including sex, age, season in which infection occurred, place of residence, and epidemiological trends, of confirmed botulism cases in Taiwan from 2003 to 2020. This study examined the annual summary data on reported botulism in Taiwan' s Center for Disease Control from 2003 to 2020 available to the public on the internet. We found that there were 50 confirmed domestic cases of botulism. The incidence of botulism ranged from 0 to 0.48 per 1000,000 from 2003 to 2020 and peaked in 2008 and 2010. During the 18-year investigation period in which 6-year intervals were used, the study results showed a decreasing trend (2003-2008, 2009-14, and 2015-2020, had 22, 19, 9 cases each). In terms of patients' gender, age, and place of residence, most of the patients were females (56%), were aged ≥ 50 years (48%), and resided in Taipei and northern Taiwan (44%). The number of botulism cases in Taiwan from 2012 to 2020 compared with other years (from 2003 to 2011) found that there were significant differences among patients within an age group of <20 years (P = .003, odds ratio = 18.500, and 95% confidence interval = 3.287-104.111), and there were significant differences among patients whose place of residence was Taipei metropolitan area (P = .025, odds ratio = 5.667, and 95% confidence interval = 1.248-25.734). During 2003 to 2009, there was no case of botulism among those aged <20 years. Over the last 10 years, botulism in children showed an increasing trend. A total of 9 children were found to have botulism during 2010 to 2020; most of these children were male (66.7%) and were infected during spring and summer (66.7%). This study is the first to report the number of confirmed domestic cases with botulism from surveillance data from Taiwan's Center for Disease Control during 2003 to 2020. This study also found that the place of residence and age were associated with an increased risk of botulism in Taiwan. 148. Case report: A compound heterozygous mutations in ARSA associated with adult-onset metachromatic leukodystrophy.

Abstract: Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD) is a rare autosomal recessive disease, which is caused by mutations in the arylsulfatase A ( ARSA ) gene. The ARSA gene is located on chromosome 22q13, containing eight exons. According to the age of onset, MLD can be divided into late infantile type, juvenile type, and adult type. Adult MLD has an insidious onset after the age of 16 years. Additionally, intellectual as well as behavioral changes, such as memory deficits or emotional instability, are commonly the first presenting symptoms. There is a study that reported an adult-onset MLD manifested cognitive impairment progressively due to compound heterozygous mutations of NM_000487: c.[185_186dupCA], p.(Asp63GlnfsTer18), and NM_000487: c.[154G>T], p.(Gly172Cys), rs74315271 in the ARSA gene, finding that the c.[154G>T], p.(Gly172Cys) is a novel missense mutation. Brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed symmetrical demyelination of white matter. The activity of ARSA enzymatic in leukocytes decreased. Nerve conduction studies displayed that evidence of polyneuropathy was superimposed upon diffuse, uniform demyelinating, and sensorimotor polyneuropathy. Family genes revealed that each family member carried one of two heterozygous mutant genes. She has been discharged and is currently being followed up. This study found a compound heterozygous mutation in the ARSA gene associated with MLD and identified a novel missense mutation NM_000487: c.[154G>T], p.(Gly172Cys), rs74315271. 149. Intestinal infectious diseases increase the risk of psychiatric disorders: A nationwide population-based cohort study.

Abstract: Intestinal infectious diseases (IIDs) are among the most common diseases and are prevalent worldwide. IIDs are also one of the major disease groups with the highest incidence worldwide, especially among children and older adults. We observed a higher probability of IIDs in patients from the psychiatric department of Tri-Service General Hospital. Therefore, our objective was to investigate if there is an association between IIDs and the risk of developing psychiatric disorders. This nationwide population-based study used the database of the National Health Insurance (NHI) program in Taiwan. The study included 150,995 patients from 2000 to 2015, comprising 30,199 patients with IIDs as the study group and 120,796 patients without IIDs as the control group. Cox proportional hazards regression analysis was performed to calculate the hazard ratio of psychiatric disorders during the 16-year follow-up. Of the patients with IIDs, 4022 (13.32%) developed psychiatric disorders compared to 8119 (6.72%) who did not (P < .001). The adjusted hazard ratio (aHR) for overall psychiatric disorders in the study group was 2.724 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 2.482-2.976; P < .001). More specifically, the study group had a higher risk of developing a psychiatric disorder, including sleep disorders, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)/acute stress disorder (ASD), schizophrenia, mental retardation (MR), substance abuse, and other psychiatric disorders. Furthermore, refractory IIDs (seeking medical attention for IIDs 3 or more times) increased the risk (aHR: 3.918; 95% CI: 3.569-4.280; P < .001) of developing psychiatric disorders. There was an association between IIDs and the increased risk of developing psychiatric disorders. Abstract: Oncogene HER2 is amplified in 20%-25% of human breast cancers and 6.1%-23.0% of gastric cancers, and HER2-directed therapy significantly improves the outcome for patients with HER2-positive cancers. However, drug resistance is still a clinical challenge due to primary or acquired mutations and drug-induced negative regulatory feedback. In this study, we discovered a potent irreversible HER2 kinase inhibitor, CHMFL-26, which covalently targeted cysteine 805 of HER2 and effectively overcame the drug resistance caused by HER2 V777L, HER2 L755S, HER2 exon 20 insertions, and p95-HER2 truncation mutations. CHMFL-26 displayed potent antiproliferation efficacy against HER2-amplified and mutant cells through constant HER2-mediated signaling pathway inhibition and apoptosis induction. In addition, CHMFL-26 suppressed tumor growth in a dose-dependent manner in xenograft mouse models. Together, these results suggest that CHMFL-26 may be a potential novel anti-HER2 agent for overcoming drug resistance in HER2-positive cancer therapy., (© 2022.
